I usually avoid something or someone until I know how to confront it,
I find it disempowering to face something head on when I have no idea what my heart feels or my mind thinks.
my reasoning is, confronting something without mental or emotional autonomy means that I'm susceptible to the other side's decisions and feelings,
and there's nothing that I hate like being influenced unknowingly.
when I do something, anything, because I want to, even if it eventually looks like the rest, it still doesn't change the fact that my actions were personally advised.
unlike if I were to find myself in the act with no personal explanation as to how and why I'm there.
so avoidance to me is more or less a time to gear up the arsenal of my mind and heart with enough weapons for the mental, emotional or verbal war that lies ahead.
because who goes to war unprepared and expects to win?
maybe luck.

I have to say, dragons rising is doing nothing for me. I watched the first part, not the second, so no idea what is going on. And I am sure when people say, it's good. But again, it does nothing for me.
Also the way they characterise Lloyd lately rubbs me the wrong way. I get they do a different approach, put him in more funny scenes etc. But looking back at earlier seasons and season 8/9...perhaps I just got too used to a more serious Lloyd. Not one trying to copy his uncle for some reason (and that is just one thing).

The other day, someone paid me for my expertise. I was going to just answer their question for free, but they saw value in my knowledge and hardwork and wanted to pay me. The value I felt from this transaction was unexpected. Truth is, I put a lot of time, money, and effort into first becoming a biologist, then getting a masters degree in herbalism, learning from witches and shamans, and learning about the metaphysic from so many people. The return really hasn't been much because I didn't value myself enough to know my worth. Just random thoughts for today.
Know your worth, it's ok to be worthy.

I used to read fics where Naruto was physically attacked-like-tortured and nothing was done about it, and I got thinking… Naruto realistically wouldn’t have gone through something like that, nothing physically harmful would have been allowed to happen to him, but not all abuse is physical y’know?
Do you think he fell in love with Ichiraku’s ramen immediately and was so loyal to it because it was the first time he’d ever gotten a 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦 meal?

What is it? Well most people think it’s a house of some sort or their families
Some people think of a place, maybe their home country, the town they grew up in?
Well let me tell you what home is and what it means to me
Home is a place where I feel safe, a place where I can let my guard down
Home is the feeling I get when long drives come to an end by turning onto my street
Home is the feeling I get when I go to certain restaurants, places where memories had been made
Home is the one person who I can hug and everything bad stops, all I can feel is their heartbeat
Home is my favourite foods, the ones that were attached to hilarious dinners, cooking and baking
Home is a place where I can be me, not the mask that I put on, just me
Home is how I know that this day will come to an end at some point, even if it feels like forever
Home is my dogs who greet me excitedly and want to spend all their time with me when I come home
Home isn’t a place, home is memories, home can be people, it’s your furry friend who’s always excited to see you. Home is when that huge sigh of relief comes when the thing you feel is home, comes into your sight
