Years ago I came up with an ATLA fic idea for the earth avatar after korra and it was kinda good but I stopped caring about it. as I developed the plot and transformed my initial (flawed) idea, I got less interested in it because it was no longer the same idea. I basically wanted to write Trope A, didn't like that it was such a bad rendition of Trope A, fixed it, and got bored cause it wasn't Trope A anymore. I absolutely don't have the time (or desire) to go write it now (especially with avatar studios coming in hot with a new avatar), but damn I hope an alternate universe-me wrote it.

I found a way for Hau get away from Hala and go to Kalos

I imagine that Hala has to go away to other towns for Kahuna business or whatever. And since the “incident” he always takes Hau with him so he doesn’t run away back to Kalos or any other region. So now the two of them are in Hau’oli City

Hau is walking beside his grandfather when he sees something yellow and brown go behind the Malasada Shop. A plan instantly flashes in his mind and he stops Hala, asking him if he could go to the Malasada shop to get something to eat. Hala is probably very happy that his grandson is starting to go back to his old self, even if it’s just getting a food he enjoys. It’s the start of progress he tells himself

Hala tells Hau that he cannot stop for him to get his food as he has to go to the meeting very soon. Telling Hau to go to the building and sit in the waiting room until he’s done, asking him if he can do that for him, for his grandfather. And Hau reluctantly says yes

Going behind the shop he can see a tall patch of grass that’s rustling near the front, getting an empty pokeball ready he slowly parts the grass to find the Abra he saw earlier. Throwing the pokeball, it connects and makes three slow shakes before one final shake signals to Hau that the Abra has been caught. Making quick introductions, Hau tells Abra that he needs her help with teleporting away, it doesn’t have to be far, just to a different city or town and the very farthest is to another island. But he knows she to weak right now. So they make a deal, Hau helps her train to evolve and Abra, soon to be Kadabra, will teleport them away to wherever he needs to be

Diantha was nice to give him and Iris some acting lessons and tips when they asked how she can change her emotions quickly. Hopefully those lessons paid off, he’ll need to trick Hala into thinking he’s fine so he can be left alone again. Abra needs some training and time out of her pokeball, and once she evolves he’ll be long gone by the time Hala gets back home

Real quick tho damn Hau really be catching Abra with just one PokeBall huh what an icon hahaha

I can't help but think the "acting lessons" Diantha had taught them are actually manipulation tactics and I'm just hcmdjdj

Like for Hau and Iris maybe those are acting skills and lessons, acting requires lying for it to be believable, for it to sound real, but they should also be skilled enough to not slip lest they "break character" as Dia would tell them, and surprisingly enough, Hau's a very good actor

Putting on this mask of sadness to his grandfather, but replacing that w smth else na, a new face of healing, and after catching that Abra, after hatching that plan, well... How about showing those acting skills to his friends?

Elio and Gladion were happy that Hau was starting to be his normal self again, and he asked them if they could help him train this Abra he just found, ofc the two did question him why an Abra? And he smiled oh so sadly as he looked at the mom, "it's a psychic type, right? And.. well.. miss Diantha has her own psychic type as her strongest pokemon, I guess it's just a reminder of her." The other two decided not to argue w it, despite their different opinions of the Kalos Champion, they also know how much she means to Hau, and how he actually means to Diantha, so they ended up helping him

They trained almost a week, his Abra became strong, Hau got TMs for her too, teaching her Shadow Ball and even Dazzling Gleam, and by the end of their all out training, Abra finally evolved into a Kadabra, his own Psychic being strong enough to catch even Elio's Pokemon off guard. And he thanked his friends of course, he's one step closer to his plan thanks to them, and after that rigorous training, he and Kadabra left, w Hau saying that he also needs to be prepared for "psychic surges" too, as Diantha would say, since the Abra line is one of the strongest psychic pokemon out there, and Hau first hand knows how Dia suffered from those surges bc of her own Gardevoir and bc she didn't had anyone close to her that has peychic aces to help her back when she was young

And, not to say that was a lie, but it wasn't exactly the whole truth. Hau did meditate w his Kadabra, try to anyways, tried to calm his mind, and tried to calm Kadabra's mind too, so the two of em won't suffer if Kadabra had a sudden spike in her psychic powers. But Hau also trained it to Teleport him anywhere. At first, y'know, he asked her to teleport them back to his home at Iki Town, then to Kukui's school, then the League, until she can teleport him to another island.

It's all going well, he thinks, but he knows for Kadabra to be able to actually teleport him to a different region, she should really be capable enough, so he asked one of his friends for another favour, to help him evolve Kadabra to Alakazam

I wanna say that the Link Cable does exist,,, but y'know, to highlight Hau's acting skills hahaha and hey, Gladion was happy to help him out, but they had to battle for it first, and after beating Gladion, well, yeah, they intimated the trade. It was quick, just a random Rattata that Gladion had found to trade it w Hau, and to trade his now Alakazam back to him. It's going really well, and Hau has never been so happy. He thanked his friends of course, even buying them malasadas too, and soon when Hala returns from one of their meetings again, well... I'm sure he'll read the letter Hau left at home

I'M DONEEEE with bg3!!!!!! CREDITS ROLLING! almost 110 hours for one playthrough, doing the main + companion storylines and whatever sidequests i stumbled upon in the process. steam says i have 150 hours in the past two weeks, and since i didn't play EA any that shortly before release, those 40 extra hours are i guess from reloads and... does the time played displayed in-game not count loading screens? good lord i hope i didn't spend 20+ hours in loading screens. i think i spent about 30-35 hours in act 1, 30-35 in act 2, and the rest in act 3 (which would be my favorite if my performance in the city was better - but i at least never did have any crashes in it! just the first 2 acts)

some rambling thoughts on the ending/my playthrough in the tags, but tl;dr i'm not as underwhelmed as reddit led me to believe i would be (certainly less than i was by dos2's ending!), but i am frustrated by a great deal of visual bugs (flat textures, missing meshes, etc) i experienced in the ending cutscenes - but i have no idea how much was the game itself and how much was my computer not being up to the task (i'm leaning towards it being my computer, because it has a habit of making textures super fucked up after playing for a while, like they don't decompress properly or something and theyre 5 pixels big & nasty-looking, but also that's different than the bugs i got in the ending). i'm also confused by the lack of ending slides since those have been an rpg staple probably for as long as there have been rpgs. but overall: WOW I REALLY LIKED THIS VIDEO GAME. extremely worth the $60 i spent 3 years ago, and will be worth however much i have to spend to upgrade my computer to do it justice.

Aizawa would die in Oboro’s place any day, he visits Kurogiri everyday just to catch a glimpse of him; Oboro only awakes from the depths of Kurogiri with Hizashi calls, he’s dormant in his tomb of smoke under Aizawa’s watch and while Kurogiri has bitten out some insults at Aizawa he rarely even LOOKS at Hizashi (ALSO DUDE THE HERO NAME ‘LOUD CLOUD’ LITERALLY SOUNDS LIKE A SHIPNAME FOR OBORO AND HIZASHI); it’s a secret to absolutely none that Hizashi lives for Aizawa. He loves that man with eveyrthing in him and would give anything for him to less hard on himself.

Hizashi is willing to give up his eveyrthing to try and be there for Aizawa, but Aizawa is so focused on the remnants of Oboro, which are only open for Hizashi to see

(Simpler terms, Aizawa likes Oboro but Oboro likes Hizashi but Hizashi likes Aizawa)

Hero hated mornings.

Aside from them being the worst time of day for waking up, they also never seemed to lose the feeling of the last night. The air felt the same, their things sat in the same spaces, and the only thing that ever seemed to change was what side of the bed was abandoned.

Not that that last part really mattered to the crime-stopper, but they somehow couldn’t seem to crush the spark of hope that sat in their heart. And with every new morning came the same-old shattered spirit.

God, what was the villain doing to them.

It seemed that no matter how high they held their head all day and all night, when the criminal was gone by morning it was always two steps back. It didn’t matter what the hero said before they fell asleep together, it didn’t matter if they begged the other to stay or to lay awake with them one morning. The villain had priorities, and attending to their nemesis’ wants was never at the top of their list. Hero eventually came to the conclusion that their name probably wasn’t on the list at all.

They hadn’t left the house that day.

And they didn’t feel like leaving today either, but they had used up all of their heartbreak-holidays now and another “sick day” would kick them from the force. So they hauled themselves up and into the kitchen, starting up their usual pot of coffee as they relished in the last of Villain’s scent on their pyjamas before dressing into their suit.

Maybe they could entice the villain for dinner tonight so they could meet at six instead of eight…

“So quick to get rid of me, huh?”

The hero spun around fast enough to give themselves whiplash and send them flying backwards into their closet. At the sight of the Villain, Hero wanted to die of embarrassment, they had always been the cool, calm and collected character and right now they were a blushing mess.

“Meaning the shirt, love.” Hero hadn’t even realized they had asked a question until the villain was answering it. And the villain huffed when the words got lost on the crime-stopper’s tongue once more.

“Wha… what are you doing here?” They gulped, audibly, before turning even redder, ears burning and eyes bulging.

Villain took a few steps closer, crowding the other against their closet doors. “I came to see you, obviously.”

“A-ah, yes, but uhm, why?”

The villain looked at them as if they were stupid. Had the hero’s pleas and begs finally worked? Had the villain had a last minute change of heart?

“You’re still wearing my emblem. It’s kind of my signature piece, yknow? Can’t really leave as ‘Villain’ if I’m missing the one thing that makes me, me.”

Oh.

The pin.

Of course, they had come back for the pin. Not to really see the hero nor be with them.

“Oh, yeah of course, sorry.” They unpinned it from their shirt, hoping that they hadn’t bent the metal in their sleep.

Villain smiled as the hero placed it in their hands, softly just like their lips, gently just like their kiss. “Thanks, love. Still on for tonight? Eight o’clock?”

“Y-yeah.”

They smirked, heading out the door before the hero could say anything else. “Perfect.” And the door shut behind them, shaking the raggedy apartment in its wake.

Hero hated mornings.

Doesnt consider herself a hero, but hey, she does kill bad people only, so some people do say she's a hero. Public opinion thing. She's just trying to pay rent while looking like a failed bread batter.

Met Crimson during a chase, when both were after the same villain, and then Crimson had to fight both the villain and save him from Casey's blade at the same time. They obviously disagree on how to handle criminals, Raph doesn't kill, while Casey sees no way of redeeming them otherwise.

While they're both two separate ends of the hero spectrum, they do make a formidable team, since it's not unusual for them to be after the same guy at the same time. They're surprisingly in tune with each other. Raph just has to remind her to only cause major injuries and not shoot people in the face.

And they do have the hots for one another, but they're too complicated, cowards when it comes to personal feelings, on top of horrible life choices that led them to horrible places to try to have a relationship, that all they do is have kissing sessions here and there.

As it goes, she has inhuman regeneration abilities, able to survive even decapitation. Even knowing that, Raph can't help but freak out everytime she takes a bit too long to go back to her senses after getting shot in the goddamn head. I mean... What if one day she doesn't wake up again?

The worst thing abt being with certain characters ? Write ur favs ! Bnha preferably

Bakugou is very jealous and not in the funny cute way. Sure, it’s funny and cute the first couple times but after awhile it becomes repetitive. It’s often, and it can be exhausting. You may feel like he doesn’t trust you as well because of it, in reality he’s just scared of losing you but he can’t confront it properly.

Kirishima tries so hard to do everything for the both of you. It’s sweet how considerate and selfless he can be, but you just wish he would let you shoulder his burdens like how he shoulders yours. He’s your rock, (literally) but on a whole other level and he won’t ever let you return the favor. It sometimes feels like he doesn’t trust you. Maybe one day he will open up, since being honest is manly.

Kaminari doesn’t listen and he forgets a lot of things. He tries to listen, he really does. But he just can’t sometimes. Whether it be because he’s too busy admiring how attractive you are or because what you’re talking about is too goddamn boring, he can’t focus on the words coming out of your mouth. He may forget important things that he didn’t mean to forget and it comes across as him just not caring. He cares so much but he’s extremely forgetful, unfortunately.

Todoroki is perfect. The worst thing about being with him isn’t even him, it’s his father. Even after he redeemed himself, he’s very hard on you. He believes his son deserves only the best, the strongest. You have to deal with his father constantly, it’s extremely tiresome and the worst part is you have to keep it to yourself.

Dabi lies, a lot. Even when he starts being himself and becomes open and vulnerable, that takes a very long time and he has a terrible habit of lying to you. If you’re not a villain alongside him, you have no idea about his double life. Even if you are? He doesn’t tell you what he’s up to while he’s gone. He truly means well, behind the mask is a soft and caring man, in his own way. But through and through he’s a liar. Even you don’t know his true identity for the longest time.

Shigaraki… where do I even begin? He’s exhausting to deal with, he’s childish to a fault. When you argue he expects you to apologize and he doesn’t ever think he did anything wrong. He’s extremely insensitive, and it takes a huge fuckup for him to realize he did something wrong and even then is too embarrassed to apologize. When he’s mad he’s not against yelling at you and saying he’ll kill you (even though he doesn’t mean it). Through and through you’re dating a man child.

Toga is pretty perfect in a relationship, if you ignore the fact she’s crazy. She’s very obsessive and jealous, and would definitely kill anyone that she felt showed any romantic interest in you, even if you two were friends. Makes her sound like a yandere but.. yknow.. I guess she kinda is? Her obsessive nature makes her overbearing to be with at times and it can feel isolating.

Hawks is swarmed by fans constantly, and many fans can be flirtatious. He tries to make sure the public eye likes him, so he often flirts back so there’s no hard feelings. You know he doesn’t like those people at all, but it can still be frustrating to see him flirt with random people. On top of this, he probably keeps your relationship a secret. He does it to protect you, but you can’t help but feel like this relationship isn’t important to him.

Sero is practically perfect, however when he’s feeling a particular emotion he assumes things. If he were to get jealous, it’s rare, but when he is he assumes you don’t like him anymore. When he’s sad he assumes you think he’s a pathetic failure, and etc. once you talk to him about it though, he tries to understand that it’s just in his head. It’s hard not to act upon these feelings though.

Mina is just .. a bit much at times. She constantly wants to go out and will not understand you if you just wanna stay home and chill out for once. Mina likes to be out and about, so you will find she lacks the understanding of just wanting to relax. But honestly is that really that bad compared to the others.

Jirou is not the most open and vulnerable, as it’s very hard for her to be. She will open up if needed but you have to coax her into opening up. She won’t voice her affections, and tries her hardest to remain stoic despite the blush on her cheeks. It may feel like she doesn’t trust you at times, because she’s very open with momo. However, she just had a hard time because she likes you so much.

Ochako gets very insecure, which isn’t a bad thing or anything until you consider the fact that she gets insecure over very small things. She gets insecure if you don’t call her certain pet names that day or something else pretty small and she thinks the worst possible thing and tries to avoid you.

Momo doesn’t do it on purpose, but she may make you feel guilty since she constantly wants to do things for you and constantly wants to buy you things as well. She absolutely refuses to let you do things for her at all, it’s only cause she loves you though, of course. But sometimes she makes you feel like she’s infantilizing you.

Monoma is just exhausting in general, but you kinda know what you signed up for when you started dating him. Due to his inferiority complex, he gets jealous very often. He tries not to resort to his.. usual self.. especially since he tries to act different when you’re around but sometimes he can’t help but gossip and shit talk people he’s jealous of, even if they’re close to you. It just gets exhausting to constantly hear about people you’re close to.

Shinsou is pretty much the perfect boyfriend so honestly the worst thing about dating him would probably be what people say about him and his quirk. It can be upsetting hearing people think of your boyfriend as a villain or somebody will villain potential, especially when you know him to be different and much more kind than what meets the surface.

i love their super hero characters so much omg

eric may be a superhero, but hes as cunning as a villain. he can be such a charmer when he wants to be, using little white lies to make himself seem sweeter than he is and to make all the other hero teams look bad. he just lovesssss to flatter you! you know, if you joined him as a side kick (because you know he still has to be the #1 hero in charge), you two would be an unstoppable duo!

i feel like kyle would also try to flatter you a bit. of course not to the manipulative extent of cartman,,, kyle is definitely more truthful about his admiration towards you. yknow, just telling you how he thinks your hero persona is cool! he doesn't think it's right to insult his friends, even if they are on different and competing teams.

stan definitely couldn't tell you to join straight to your face. he knows he'd be too nervous to speak and end up puking all over you.. 😭 that's why he convinces his friends on his team to ask you! he tells all his friends about how quick you are on your feet and how you've helped him plan missions before. he might exaggerate your strength and powers a little teeny tiny bit to them,,, but it's for the best really!! because he truly does believe that you'd be the perfect addition to his team, putting his bias aside.

kenny usually liked to work alone when it came to his hero work. i mean, he really does like his friends!!! but sometimes with all the playing around and arguing, they tend to slow him down a bit. when hes dressed as mysterion, he has a sort of confidence boost, so i think out of everyone here, he would be the most direct about his feelings. he tells you how he honestly feels about the team slowing you two down and that you two should leave together and form a partnership of sorts,,, making sure to put his arm around you and lean in when he says it. (cocky bastard...)

His weird attachment to monty that one TIME yknow the 'hes my dad!' even tho hes not and its very debatable with Eclipse and KC depending how you wanna go about it (In terms of WHO made bloodmoon its Eclipse whos derived from KC and Moon and SUN.) Where was I YEAH HIS THEME OF NO ONE IS FAMILY BUT BLOODMOON. Only THEY understand that theyre not a tool or worthless! (Yknow just completely missing a way to use their codependence to help further their own coping of SEVERAL THINGS.) Yet he still STILL seeked out and called KC father, he still somewhat has thoughts on family. He's going after EARTH who's just vibin' trying to be accepting, even jealous of LUNAR for 1) being brought back and two) survived Eclipse and lives happily (sorta) and while begrudgingly i must say forgot bloodmoon. (WHICH LIKE. THATS THEIR OWN FAULT FOR NOT DRAGGING LUNAR INTO THAT PLOT EVEN THO HE HAD ALL THIS BLOODMOON INFO DURING THAT WHOLE THING. not used it ONCE. they purposely left lunar out of that and thats annoying. chaos sibligns 4 lyfe) Anyway you COULD so still use that in regards to Sun trying to reach out to them ('I wouldve loved another brother' will forever be brought up. also literally in the same convo sun does admit hed kill em again but WE'RE FOCUSING ON THE FAMILY PART GUYS) I'd have to scrap some like... lets see here.... UmMM i CAN use the attacking lunar thing still. AND having solar interfere (I still hate that whole 'he reminds me of my moon thus he must die'. Retcons... everywhere. Remember when he wanted to save his moon?? yeah? cool cause ill never forget that actually.) KC dying actually WOULDNT have been so bad (aside the... suddenly being an ass about it. But he was direct to bloodmoon about 'BRUH UR BEING USED.' and them never actually... bringing that up too much) angering BM enough to kill KC is actually pretty solid way to use the whole 'Bm not satisfied with Killing' as a very direct way KC's words last on BM especially BM's whole unstable emotions of NOT understanding the feelings theyre going through because of that other than anger (denial, grief, confusion and conflict of how Hurt that mustve been they wanted more family) oh this is getting long and im losing focus.

Y'know have I actually like,, written stuff abt Diantha and Augustine's reunion or smth, cause like,,, if we're going w that one concept w Dia and Cynthia in the basement, then maybe Dia just said she doesn't want to keep Augustine waiting so Cynthia would leave too, and she wouldn't have to really hurt her

Idk how their reunion would go tho I want it to be like really fucking angsty but I also want it to be somewhat wholesome and it shows how Augustine can still pull out what little humanity Diantha has left within her

But like cndmdn imagine Augustine going back to the Carnet Manor, no one with him this time, bc the League was out finding Dia on their own too. Cynthia isn't w him right now bc of champions stuff, so he's on his own. The only pkmn he has w him is Garchomp, he left Xerneas w Calem again, thinking that if Diantha finds out he still has Xerneas, then she'd think he'd still attack her. So hey, now w his Garchomp, venturing the living room of the Carnet Manor. He never got to look around more, but now he did. There's a broken piano at the far end of the living room, and just on top of the fireplace there are some pictures coated with dust, some of the frames and glasses were broken, the pictures themselves were ripped and torn apart, leaving only Diantha's own face.

"why must you bother with those things, my darling?"

He turns and sees Diantha sitting on the couch, her usual attire without her white coat, and he could see the burnt purple skin of her right arm. "If you're looking for mother, she's right here." Augustine was terrified, Diantha never got mad at him, never. Even when he made countless mistakes, even when he rebelled against her when they were younger, she never got mad at him, never raised her voice, not even once. But this time he probably took it a step too far, he never saw such hatred in his sisters eyes aimed towards him before.

To his surprise tho, Dia pulled him close, hugging him, "oh, my darling... What have they done to you? What did they tell you for you to go against me? Have I not done everything for you?"

"of course you have, Dia. You gave me everything I ever wanted and more.. but.. but Diantha, this has to stop. You're killing people."

"have they not killed others as well?" Then she pulled away, looking at him, the intensity of her glare was petrifying, and he took another step back. Her looks softened, although... It felt like it didn't. It felt somber, it felt... It felt like she's so tired. "Arceus... Do you know how much I hate looking at you sometimes, Augustine?" And that caught him off guard, "you look so much like her. And I hate it so much. I was terrified that you'd be like her, so I made sure you won't ever be like our degenerate of a mother. I made sure you won't kill me with the same flames she used to burn my own skin." She seethed, then she turned her back to him, facing the ashes of their mother, "and yet here you are, here she is, still tormenting me even beyond the grave."

And Augustine finally sees them. The burns on her back. The same cursive C on the floor tainting the skin of her shoulder blades too. More burns littered across her back, on her spine, on her nape. It was horrific. His breathing quickened when she turned back to look at him again. Her eyes looked tired, she looked tired, and she cried. She cried, letting the tears fall, and it hurts his own heart seeing her like that, as this was the first time he ever truly saw her cry.

"I sacrificed everything for you, Augustine. Was that not enough? I only wanted this world to be better, so you won't ever get hurt again. Is that so bad?" Came out her almost desperate plea, and she watched her brother crumble before her words, his own tears brimming his eyes as he shook his head.

"Of course it was enough! Dia, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.." and he's there taking her hands, falling to his knees as he started sobbing too, choaking out his apologies. And like before, like when she just got custody of him, on their first night on her apartment, he clung to her, "I'm sorry... You're right.. I should've listened to you, you're only trying to make this world better.."

And Diantha buried her face on the crook of his neck, cooing sweet nothings as she comforts him, telling him how she forgives him for everything, that everything will be fine, and she's there hiding the smile on her face as she finally got her brother back on her side. And this time, she'll make sure the others won't ever get to him again.

i talked about this in the tags of another post but yknow what it deserves its own - can we talk about the parallels between nine and eggman??? i'm dying to talk about the parallels between nine and eggman.

i am personally obsessed with the dynamic between tails and eggman and how they parallel each other in a lot of ways. i've recently been thinking about other possible similarities they could have, and then prime literally just came and proved my point.

it was this line that made me start realizing this:

SONIC: "Is this what you want, to spend the rest of your life alone with robots for friends?" NINE: "At least I can trust them."

i don't think i need to explain how Eggman that is.

tails and eggman obviously share the surface level traits of being extremely smart and gifted with technology. we know almost nothing about eggman's past, but it's likely he was very smart for his age the same way tails is.

but something that i've been thinking about ever since frontiers came out is a possible similarity between why these two are so drawn to technology. frontiers gave us arguably one of the biggest insights into eggman's character in the form of egg memo 17:

"I never really knew my cousin, Maria. Everyone spoke of her like she was very special. All that love for someone who was gone when I was! Right! There! But I have to wonder. Back then, was she anything like Sage is now?"

the implication that eggman felt ignored by his family/the people around him and that they paid more attention to his dead cousin than him has haunted me ever since the game dropped... the fact that so much of eggman's schemes have to do with having control, remaking the world the way he wants it to be, and always heavily center around his enormous ego, plastering his name and likeness everywhere........

...well, that need for control and personal recognition definitely has been recontextualized by this moment, to say the least.

recently i was thinking about this again and wondered if perhaps the reason eggman has such an affinity for machines and robots, and a dislike for living things, could stem from negative experiences with other people. and that perhaps the case could be the same for tails. "people treat me badly" -> "i don't like people" -> "machines are better"

the difference is that tails met sonic and gained friends fairly early on, while eggman assumedly didn't (whether by choice or not)

and now in prime, we have nine, a tails who never had friends. and what do you know! he's become an antagonist who is screwing over people and putting entire other worlds at risk in order to reshape the world into how he wishes it to be, and making robots to keep himself company. sound familiar?

a tails without friends results in essentially... eggman. so maybe there's little more to my ideas about eggman's villainous origins than just speculation.

genuinely the people who have hurt me most in my life were empaths who "meant well" and "did this because they cared about me" and "were worried about me". on the other hand i have a narcissist friend who loves me very much and treats me with respect. they've made mistakes in the past (passive aggressive towards me and manipulative towards another person) but are trying hard to improve. you really can spin any normal human desire and make it seem demonic just based on the assumption that this person is inherently evil. like "i'm so glad my friends forgave me and we can keep having fun times together" ➡️ "yesss they're back under my control and i can abuse them"

so many people are just totally incapable of nuance like it's complex yknow. like. people with personality disorders deserve love. that shouldn't be a bold statement. those with extreme attachments etc aren't trying to manipulate you from some distant place of villainous intent. theyre jsut. feeling things they can't control. but also if you don't have the emotional capacity to handle being someone's friend after a long pattern of problems, you don't have to sacrifice your mental well-being for them. you're not good for them either if you need distance like that. just also don't make it about all people with that disorder lmao. use critical thinking skills challenge

(obviously also if you don't work out well with someone else due to your emotional needs clashing, tell them explicitly why you have to distance yourself and don't just ghost them)

anyway two of my bestest friends are personality disorder and just silly little guys. everyone in the world, including empaths, is capable of harm and should strive for self improvement.
