introducing my published novel: the art of betrayal

There's a lot to talk about, and quite frankly, none of it is pretty.

setting // small-town new zealand and a second location that i cannot mention for spoiler reasons

[ a note about this: the idea of the story is that you are learning of new information as matthew, the protag, is learning of it too. you quite literally go into the novel headfirst knowing literally nothing. i can't even reveal any other names other than matthew's, because it's all spoilered. ]

features // alternative storytelling format, cosmic horror, a sprawling worldwide mystery, missing persons, many lgbtq+ characters, desperate attempts at finding the truth

other important information // unfortunately the novel is quite inaccessible regarding its visual content as many chapters are of scanned handwritten journal entries and other scanned media. because i have worked on this novel exclusively on my own, i was unable to make an accessible version at time of publishing. HOWEVER i am hoping that i will be able to change this sometime in the future!

[ hi yes! i know a great majority of these kinds of posts on tumblr are for wips, but i really feel like i must give a little attention to my first big project. a little backstory from me is that i started writing this concept when i was 15, and i published it at the start of this year! ]
