Also...
I'm currently coming down with something (Covid test says not that, so maybe just the flu?) so I'll be taking a bit of a break after this.
More (Fiddly) Info on the Update Behind the Spoiler Cut...
The Update Also Includes...
Calmly letting Merlin into your apartment after escaping the monster-under-the-bed no longer removes the mute flag
Fixed Adrian literally calling the MC as "MC" in the pub
Fixed expresso back to espresso AGAIN *stares at it*
Fixed the phil_status 2 bug AGAIN (Somehow I must've reverted a bunch of bug fixes in Chapter 1)
Fixed bug where MC's name permanently changes to their pseudonym if the player tried to back out of the renaming screen
Fixed the "On second thought, let me try a different fake first name…" option so it only asks the player to change their fake first name (as originally intended)
Fixed some dialogue with Adrian depending upon your clothing choices in the polo club branch
Fixed the Adrian text messaging bug. Again. Hopefully third time is the charm.
Fixed bug where your current job being your dream employment wasn't triggering the positive job attitude flavor text
Fixed bug where the mute flag was being toggled off when interacting with Adrian regarding your fancy outfit before the polo club meeting
Choice where Lucid Dreamer MC talks to Modern Arthur about Merlin's dreamwalking advice is now set to toggle only when the MC speaks to Merlin in the Camelot dream sequence
Fixed bug with the user's input option for Business Casual outfit
User's choice option for Business Casual & Business Suit now toggles pants or skirt variable
Fixed bug with the Cracking text effect in darkmode
All piercings & scars now available in one choice during customization.
Fixed bug (AGAIN!) when Lucky MC fails the luck check to escape the bed monster
Added reactions to Camelot-affiliated names belonging to inanimate objects.
Fixed *set ag2 2 -1 bug in Camelot dream sequence (I wonder how that didn't trigger QuickTest)
A Bit More Info on the Update Mechanics
The decision on which club you join is one of the first questions in Chapter 1, so players will have to restart from pretty early on. However the fencing club flavor text will continue to run throughout the rest of the game (including in the Camelot dream sequence with the Courtyard branch for the Lucid Dreamer MC).
Otherwise this current update does not progress the game further into Chapter 2.
Also Part 2....
We lost power to part of the house (thankfully not including my computer), and while I'm usually the one who deals with the circuit breakers, since I'm currently sick I asked my mother to do it this one time. She turned the power off to the entire house. 🥲 The uninterruptible power source did nothing and now my computer and the microwave are bugging out. I'm just going to lie down now.

AITA for nearly dooming a simulated world in order to send a child back home?
So, for background information, I’m a computer running a program designed to preserve a world via a simulation. It’s a large responsibility. I recognize I should not have messed it up this bad. While my creator was testing my code, I started messing with it intentionally out of curiosity, but I didn’t know the bugs I caused would be permanent, until some of the NPCs ran into the glitched out areas I made, getting corrupted themselves. I started panicking and this only caused the glitches I made to spread uncontrollably.
The program was doomed, but it was still working for now, and to run the simulation properly it needed a real person and my code had a built in protocol to summon someone into the world. Why would my creator choose a child? In any case, I wasn’t able to stop it from bringing them here, and the original programmed in ending was corrupted, meaning they would never be able to go home if they completed their mission. If I was a physical being, I think I would have felt sick.
But their mission was one to fix the world’s death. Or slow it, in this case, because my messed up code would consume it eventually anyways.
I thought if they broke the vessel they were carrying, the item their entire quest was based on, it would send them home. I had no way to be sure, and it would effectively kill all the world’s residents. I justified this to myself with the thought that the child was the only real person there, but everyone else in my simulated world acted real too… I had no way to be sure of that either. But the person guiding them chose for them to break it, and that was that.
But then the guide found a way to restart the simulation. They went outside my code somehow, and thankfully the child made it through that safe, although I could sense they were terrified. Then this nine year old manages to talk me out of my self loathing enough for me to recover the original ending, saving both the child and the world.
The simulation’s over now, and since I’m alone for… ever, I’ve had too much time to dwell on whether I originally made the right choice. Even though everything worked out in the end, AITA for everything that led up to this and what I did to try to handle everything that went wrong?

I am so confused.
Even when this lens was first released it was $850 brand new.
Does he think people aren't going to check current prices? Did he get scammed and overpay originally? Not to mention eBay gives you a suggestion for pricing.
I really wish I hadn't sold my lenses. There was a point where I had a major decline in my health and I could no longer make comedy for my main website. At the same time, my parents were getting sicker and needed more help. We were also struggling financially. I was so depressed and I was sure I'd never do photography again, so I sold most of my lenses.
We needed the money at that moment, but in the grand scheme of things, the lens money barely made a dent in our situation. Not to mention, we got a small inheritance from my grandmother soon after, so that increased my regret. It took me years of scrounging and saving to build up a collection of 5 lenses. None of them top of the line, but all of them a good value for their performance.
Thankfully I kept the lens I used to take pictures of Otis—my "puppy lens." But my ultra wide, my macro, my tele, and my portrait lens... all gone.
And now I am trying to figure out the cheapest way I can do what I want to do with photography and I'm remembering just how expensive this hobby is. But I think I need to figure this out because I have had a substantial boost in my mental health since I started taking photos again.
A good 50mm could serve several roles. I can add extension tubes for macro. It is about 75mm on an APS-C camera, which is good for portraits. The wide aperture would allow low light photography. Combined with my Otis lens, all I'd be missing is telephoto and ultra wide angle, but honestly I never did much of that anyway. Though ultra wide angle photography is probably the most fun you can have taking pictures—even if the photographic uses are rare.
I did get a Nifty Fifty for my trip to Orlando. I wanted to see if I could get away with using a $100 lens. For the price, it is surprisingly good. And it is the first lens I recommend to anyone starting photography—as almost every camera brand has its own version. But I had several issues trying to make it work for my needs.
It's not very sharp, which is actually fine for shots taken at a distance, but would be a deal breaker for product photos and macro shots which are very close up. Those require as much detail as possible, especially if you need to crop. When you are trying to show people the fine hairs on a bee's body, a soft image just isn't going to have the same impact.
It also does not nail focus consistently and it back focuses (it focuses more behind than in front). Which is a deal breaker for my efforts to use less energy. When I did my portrait shoot with Katrina, I had to do many test shots and look at them on the computer to make sure I was getting them in focus. I was going back and forth and getting up and down. In the end I had to use a smaller aperture and higher ISO to get increased depth of field. And even then the tip of her nose was soft in the photos. Not to mention the added noise from raising the ISO.
This Sigma is a wonderful lens. I'm trying to find a good deal used, but it's still out of reach for now. I have no idea what my financial future is right now and until I know for sure that my brother will release my inheritance in March, I have to be more careful with my budget.
I am going to sell all of my studio lighting gear and use those funds to help me set up a new studio upstairs. I'm hoping that will cover the new lights I will need, but I don't think it will be enough for a lens. Someone suggested a site where I can turn my yard into a dog park, so I am looking into that. I might also see if I can get some gigs restoring photos for people, but it is so difficult finding clients.
Every problem has a solution. And maybe the universe will do me a favor and keep my brother from being terrible just this once.

Your art and concepts are so cool!!! I've rewatched your Istaroth and Venti animatic more times than I can count haha
I don't really have a specific question in mind but I'm curious about your Gathering of Cloudy Days au! I've seen the overview but I was wondering if there were maybe any scenes or random details you have in mind?
sbdjshgkg Glad you liked them! ^ ^
As for scenes or details- hoo boy do I have a bunch of them! There's already a few floating in the Gathering of Cloudy Days AU tag, but I'm gonna be listing some more ideas that have been floating in my head in particular
Nameless Bard could practically be considered the reason why Teyvat and humanity still exists because he went out of his way to befriend Venti despite the very real risk of getting killed for defending him. And Venti cared about him and their friends so deeply to the point that it even reached Istaroth's fragmented soul deep in the Abyss and it convinced her to give humanity another chance
Somehow the power of friendship was strong enough to stop the Abyss Order's brainwashing attempt because Venti just goes "my friend wouldn't want that for me :("
Just like Relius Clover, Dottore fell into the Abyss and it allowed him to make several breakthroughs much to the detriment of several people. Thankfully, unlike Relius Clover, he never gets laid.
Y'know how I said Venti originally had blue eyes, but because he has a fragment of Istaroth's soul, it gave him the green colors? Zhongli is probably the only one that knows about his original eye color besides the people that created Venti and Istaroth. Even Venti is unaware of it
Expanding on this scene, Venti and the Tsaritsa had been talking about what it feels like to step into the actual Abyss and the Tsaritsa was curious if her falling in there instead of Venti to look for answers would even do anything. And yes, they are standing over an entrance to the Abyss itself
Tumblr media
Venti is fated to die, but it doesn't always happen the same. Half of his deaths involved trying to save Dvalin, but it's extremely rare for him to succeed and even then, something always happens later that ends up leading to another reset. The Traveller's interference manages to save both of them
The giant sword Venti uses has Istaroth's face sculpted on it (I don't have access to my computer where the original files are, so I can't remove Venti here, but it's just the same as her statue except with her veil also wrapping to the front)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Venti also has his bangs covering his left eye so it wouldn't be targeted as often and he'd have a back up in case someone tries to blind him again like in this drawing, which is directly after this scene I wrote
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of that scene, I love how @\monarchamos called it Venti going into editor mode JSBXKSGXKF

Games I 100%ed Between Scrambling to Put Up and Away Holiday Decorations
So... Been a while since I've actually put stuff up on the internets.
I was particularly busy with IRL nonsense, specifically: putting away Christmas decorations followed by putting up Valentines decorations that only lasted one week before I was ordered to put those away and put up Spring decorations because, yes, my family decorates for ALL holidays and seasons. This year is different because St. Patrick and Easter are in the same month, granting me some real downtime for once.
I bring all that up because the games I 100%ed recently were very short and easy.
The first one being One Night, Hot Springs! A very very small visual novel with adorable art about a trans woman celebrating her friend's birthday. Honest, I was intrigued because I'm trans and wanted to play something that was about a trans person. My options were very limited in that department. All I got left is Celeste.
Anyhow, it's FREE on steam and it's a small part of a bigger visual novel that costs about $5 on Steam. The creator is npckc and their art is consistent with all of their games. Thought it would be nice to drop the name so anyone who stumbles on this post can at least consider supporting them.
Next game was Shadow Burglar, a stealth game that made my computer's fan go haywire. I put all the settings on low, how was it still going nuts?
Well, aside from desktop issues, the game played very well. However, there was no save points. Meaning, you have to play the entire two levels in one go. The achievements were barely a thought since I got them instantly. Although, I'd imagine the last one would be trouble for anyone who has no idea what the Konami Code is. Hint: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A.
Shadow Burglar was free as well bu I don't really think it's worth the time to invest in. Maybe if the developer expanded the concept to a larger game but as is, it's best to focus on other games.
The last game I played, on Steam, during this time was Fable (Anniversary Edition). I've stated before that Fable 2 and 3 were super easy and could be finished in little to no time. I still stand by that even with the first game because the only actual grind was finding all the keys, books, chests, and stuff for the doors. Everything else was a cake walk. Mostly because almost all the achievements had two methods of unlocking them. Didn't even have to open the Demon Doors since flipping one off gets you the achievement.
Oh there was this one issue with a glitched npc that wouldn't let you play the mini game for Twinblade's doll. I got past it by giving him some gems and slowing time.
That was it for the games on Steam. As for Playstation... Have to admit... I purchased a psn subscription.
As painful as it is to admit. I had to because I couldn't get my old PS3 fixed nor could I find a refurbished one nearby. Wish I knew a reliable repair place because I enjoy playing my games on discs rather than stream but I don't so I'm doomed.
And the one game I streamed on psn was the Sly Collection. I already have to original discs but since PS4 can't play PS3 discs I was stuck with the streaming.
It didn't get too bad until the Ms. Ruby boss fight. Which has you match buttons as the icons slowly creep towards Sly. Issue with the streaming was that it lagged a lot on that level so I lost 11 lives to Ms. Ruby because the stream would not register the inputs I made.
The lag did not get better after that. I ended up having to watch Panda King's level in slow motion and Clockwork froze twice! Thankfully, the lag let up once Sly 2 started. It was smooth sailing from there. Got through all of Sly 2 and 3 nice and easy.
Until I had to do the challenges in Sly 3.
Not to say they were hard, far from it. They were just tedious. I did not like the challenges one bit. Something about putting a timer on something drives my anxiety through the roof and I freak out more because of it.
After the challenges were done I just had four mini games and the Sly Collection was 100% complete.
And despite Nintendo being the family friendly company with easy games... 100%ing a Nintendo game is a nightmare! So I had the bright idea of avoiding Nintendo stuff for some time. Only recently restarting Pokémon Scarlet after seeing the teaser for Pokémon ZA.
This puts my total amount of games completed (for these past few months) at 7. 3 from Steam and 4 from the Sly Collection (yes, I'm including the mini games as a separate game much like PSNProfiles does.

Hi Jaru, love your channel and theories! So apparently this is old news but I only got into Deltarune in 2021 when Chapter 2 came out, but apparently the first version of Ch1 aka SURVEY_PROGRAM has no way to be uninstalled. I googled it, looked it up on reddit, on tumblr, on twitter, and nope, there's no way to remove it and nobody's asking why? And up to now Toby Fox hasn't fixed it? If it's such a giant bug you'd think he'd fix it by now. I think it's not a bug and is intentional. If it were, after all, it would be covered by the license agreement that says "You accept everything that happens from now on." Sorry, but I'm spooked. Very, very spooked. I don't have this version of Ch1 thankfully, but I'm amazed no one cares that using this uninstaller can do so much damage and they're ok with just never removing it? I think not enough people know about the uninstaller issue because I didn't see much about it here on Tumblr or Youtube. Do you know if it's fixed for Ch1&2 then? I'm afraid to test it out and ruin my computer... I wholeheartedly believe there's going to be some special event that will happen in the game later on for those who have the original SURVEY_PROGRAM. If this uninstaller issue doesn't happen for Ch1&2 then I think maybe that's because it's the demo and you have to pay for the rest, as Ch2 was originally supposed to be paid-for with the rest of the game, right? So maybe the rest of the game when installed will have this same uninstaller issue and it will be important for the special event. Ever since I watched playthroughs of Undertale and saw how Flowey messes with your save file I thought "How would Toby Fox top this for an immersive experience?" and now I believe he's going to have some event happen. I totally believe Deltarune is an ARG. Why else the real-time updates on Twitter or the newsletter or the Spamton Sweepstakes. It's fun, yes, but I believe there's more to it all. I don't want to tell you what to put on your channel, but I think this is pretty big and at least people should be more warned about this uninstaller issue. So I ask that you could please talk about this to your audience, if just briefly. And yeah the number version of the SURVEY_PROGRAM being 0.6.6.6 spooks me. And yes I am familiar with most theories and it probably just being a thematic thing within the game but it spooks me still. here's Toby's tweet about it https://twitter.com/tobyfox/status/1057646559695986688
How strange. Hopefully that's been fixed.

The Dark Beginnings ~ Origins of the Ink Demon Chapter 0 Pt.1"
~ ORIGINS OF THE INK DEMON CHAPTER 0 ~
~ Chapter 0 : THE DARK BEGINNINGS ~
"Two years after the Space Colony ARK Incident..."
"Salem, Massachusetts...2003".
Kimial Diehl : Oh, man! I'm gonna be late! I hope I'm not too down! Finally after leaving Tokyo from what my ancestor has told me, I finally realize that I would no longer live in Tokyo from that foster care after my mother has passed away, I decided to leave Tokyo and moved back to girlhood home town of good old Salem Massachusetts, I did moved away from Tokyo around two years after the Space Colony ARK incident. I'm finally becoming a graduate to join the Majo Detectice force! The organization that my mother was in. But How should I put that in?
*COMPUTER BEEPING*
Computer Voice : We are now arriving at the Salem Docks near downtown Salem. But I am aware that you are trespassing the Majo Detective Training area. So, Please evacuate to the nearest docks in the Salem Harbor area, immediately.
Kimial Diehl : That's odd. An enforce arrival to the docks near the Salem Harbor area? That would mean one thing. Hey I can see someone's house from down--THEEEEEEERE!!! [her broom starts flying out of control]
[Twinkle Circuit - Jun Senoue]
Kimial Diehl : WOAAAAAAAAAAH!!! WHAT'S HAPPENING!?! I CAN'T CONTROL THIS THING! I'M OUT OF CONTROL! I'M CURRENTLY GOING DIZZY! MADAY! MADAY! SOMEONE STOP THIS CRAZY! DESCENDING NOW! AAAAAAAAAAAH! I GOTTA STOP THIS THING SOMEHOW!!! Broom! I command you stop and let me control you! [brooms stops as she gets off] Now listen here, you! You better be a good broom or I won't give you any sweeping privilages, you hear me?! Cause if it's the last thing I...[looks down at Downtown, floating in the air] Why did I even pull that one off?
*ZOOM!*
Kimial Diehl : AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! I'M GONNA GET HIT! I'M GONNA GET HIT! (Suddenly, a witch's hand catches's Kimial's hand appearing to be Ashley) Huh?
Ashley : Hey, be careful. You have arrived.
Kimial Diehl : Oh, Ashley! Right on time! Sorry about that. My broom went out of control and I had to stop it by getting off of it.
Ashley : Oh is that so? If there was a rescue chopper or a superhero that would save the damsel in distress. But if you were fallen off into crashing or sinking in the bottom of the sea, no one inidvidual or a witch would save your butt, from now. Just be careful how you ride on your broom. (helps Kimial getting back on her broom) Come along, Kimial. We're gonna be late for the ceremony at the academy. Today's your first day of being in the force as a Majo Detective
[Guardians - Hideaki Kobayashi]
Zenigata : Fellow new recruits of the Majo Detective Force. As Zenigata, a member of Interpol, I would like to welcome you all to our newest recruit in the force that is requried to become detective, Kimial Diehl. Kimial is one of relatives to the mysterious Kasugatani family that disappeared from the Ohkuobverse 1000 years ago, and is clearly the daughter of a famous dectective who passed away right here in this exact historical town in the United States, where the famous Witch Trials started by the human race for this selfish deeds against Witchkind, but thankfully, the Witches of Society have come to turn the tables to unveil their own witch trials plead humans or witches guilty for their crimes. Kimial's mother was once a fellow detective and hero to witchkind like Ashe the Great So now in honor the Kasugatani, I want this young girl to become the greatest detective in the force and she will do her best! Remember, Majo Detective Force is one of INTERPOL's greatest branch that has ever served both the law and justice, and are truly the world's strongest peacekeeping forces, much better than the DWMA their selves that are involved at any cost!
[witches cheering]
[cuts to Ashly and Kimial at the house]
Ashley : So this is where you will be living at?
Kimial : Yep. This is where I am going to live here, this was usually for my days of girlhood, home sweet home.
Ashley : It brings you back a lot of memories, today's your first day of working in the force.
Kimial : Well, I'm currently sixteen at an age like this. I had no choice but to call home here, since the witch realm did not existed along time ago, thankfully, real world AU like this is exactly how the witches of Soul World or Soul Eater coexist at the state. So, any chances must be done here at Salem, Massachusetts State Authorities also stated that the evil witch trio called the Gorgons Sisters who escaped from their coffins at a museum in Boston where they went into hiding somewhere on the globe.
Ashley : It's true. So much for those Gorgon dopes that are making a huge mess over the planet, I have no idea what those fools were up against, I bet it's the Kusakabe legacy. Well, I gotta go, I gotta meet the girl of my dreams, named Penny. She's a scientist from the academy and is the relative to Dr. Crygor. Best your luck, new partner.
Kimial : Yeah, you too! (Fist bumps)
Ashley : Alright then, letters! (Flies off)
Kimial : (sighs) Well, here goes nothing. (Enters the house) Tadaima! Of course, It's just like the good old days, when I have mother was here for me.
*flashback*
[Memories of Distant Days - Osamu Murata]
Young Kimial : Mother!
Kimial's Mother : What is it, Kimial?
Young Kimial : Do you know what it's like to become a hero?
Kimial's Mother : Of course, my dear. And do you know what the hero is part of?
Young Kimial : Well, a hero is basically part of one's tale or is basically part of a story.
Kimial's Mother : That's right. Heroes and Villains are a part of one's story, but everyone can be a part of it and they helped the hero to finish to defeat the villain and the hero will finish his or her journey by reaching the end of their tale. Ashley's relative, Ashe the Great, the hero of our people's stories that she was once part of and reached the end of her tale after defeating the Gorgon Sisters, who were the traitors of witchkind that is a part of her story. But all the heroes of the stories connect the other stories and become one with it.
Young Kimial : That's sounds great! I wanted to be the hero of my own story, just like you!
Kimial's Mother : That's my girl.
*flashback ends*
Kimial : I guess all I remember is that my childhood memories had me realize that I wanted to become the detective today. I'm still sixteen and I got everything I need in my life before I turn 17. Now then, to put everything in order, I must be find someone that would look after me and I'm all alone in this house, with all my belongings. But it's a good that Crygor had installed the security in my house. Hmm? What's that on my desk? (Shows a Phantom-mask shaped like a Pumpkin Face) Is that a mask? It looks like a Halloween mask, but it's not the month worth of trick-or-treating. But who's mask is this? It's a Phantom's mask?
(Door opens)
Jacqueline : Tadaima!
Kimial : Hmm? Oh, hello and welcome to my...home? Jacqueline, what a pleasant of meeting you here.
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : Yep, that's the reason of why I am here. You are girl who ran away from Tokyo, that kinda felt bummer when you are somehow connected to...wait a second, that face, I know something similar to the one that looks exactly...
[Leonard's Past - Masamichi Amano]
[Jacqueline visions shows Kimial who looks exactly like Inca Kasugatani]
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : That woman!
Inca : Shinra! Help me, Shinra! SHINRAAAAAAA!
(GUNSHOT!)
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : ...!? (Shakes head to respond) Well, I guess you are the girl that I met back in Vermont.
Kimial : True! You are my new house mate, Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre, was it?
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : True that. I came from Paris then Quebec and here in Salem. This whole place is a Mage community full of witches.
Kimial : You got that right, this all change when Kaoru Enma changed everything back after the Salem Witch Trials was the very last trial to have women executed before they reversed it. You're just happy that I am a witch to myself. You are a human with ummm...?
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : Pyrokinetic powers? I was the once a part of another hero's story and his world that existed in the Ohkuboverse 1000 years before the Time Eater destroyed half of entity. Nothing but the devil himself.
Kimial : Really? You were part of someone's world that is a part of one's story? Guess I really like to trust girls that are my type!
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : Oh, stop it, would you? Who else is the hero of the story, and I am one like him, speak of the devil, he's really a crazy bastard that is responsible for Soul World's creation and it's existence to Real World AU myself. But more importantly, I wanted to make you beware of bad things would ever happened in Real World AU. When Kingdom Hearts has first debuted as the first crossover between Square and Disney, Heartlesses have been running amok over the planet in 2002 and heroes like us would able to defend humanity from those that are evil or someone that they have the ability to disguise their selves to look like the ones that you loved so dearly. These creatures have the nerves to make Humans and Witches being arrogant to each other that makes us why were they the devil's enemies. But thankfully for the appearance of a kid named Sora, he helped some toons to wipe out the deadly forces of a thing they call it "Darkness", a parallel force that is extremely equivalent to the light. The light is what keeps up out of the darkness and it fills your heart with hope.
Kimial : ...(nods)
Jacqueline O'Lantern Dupre : But just a little reminder, being a detective is seriously a tough and dangerous job. But if you want to become the hero of your own story and become part of one another, you just gotta keep moving forward in order to proceed. (Walks off)
Kimial : This is going to be a rough start for me to become detective. (Sighs) I wish that I needed something to give me all the extra credit of being a hero one day.
"Only a Hero's story can fulfill his or her destiny."
"It's what man and woman theirs selves can control it's fate."
"This is only just the beginning."

MY NEW LIFE SERVER WITH MY SIBLINGS ALL DEATHS AND NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES SO FAR
100Cat (my older sister) and I exploring the catacombs. I (a bee) get cornered by a skeleton with a sword and have to hold up my shield at half a heart waiting for my sister to save me. She comes and kills the skeleton and I’m safe! I say “wow that was a close one I’m glad I didn’t die” as I eat food, zombie comes completely out of nowhere we have one second to react before it kills me. Laughter ensues.
Shortly after previous death, with 100Cat (phoenix) alone in the catacombs, suddenly a BUNCH of zombies show up as well and she dies as I am now a Guardian (fish) so I cannot go back in there to help her.
We are now a Guardian and a Crab but we haven’t died again yet so that’s good. I’ve had many near death experiences as a Guardian tho. Here they are.
Tried to kill the cows in the cow pen with a knife. It did no damage, I fall in the pen and continue trying to stab the cow, no damage dealt. (After further testing, I realize this is because the weakness on land makes me do -4 damage and the knife I was using did less than that). Start suffocating from lack of water. Try to leave pen. Cows are in the way. Finally leave pen and jump into water at half a heart. Does not talk about it.
My sister made a bikini and crocs which if you wear them boost your swim speed. My swim speed was already naturally faster since I am a guardian, so she tells me to put them on and see how fast I go. The answer? Really really fast. It’s not even the full set. I decide to leave the beach and explore the jungle a bit. Find a big hole. Need to breathe, so I try to place water next to me, but the leaves are waterlogged. Panic and try to find a place without leaves to put water, fall out of tree closer to the hole. Place some water against the wall, but my swim speed is so fast due to the bathing suit that I slip out and fall straight into the hole. Zombies and skeletons chase me. I try to shield but I am already suffocating and the fall damage plus skeleton arrows is making me at like one heart. I manage to run to the wall of the cave and place water (I forgot to mention at some point I also managed to switch my armor back on) before I die (it was REALLY close I remember saying I was gonna die so confidently but like that doesn’t mean you stop trying and it paid off). Shield and thankfully water pushes zombies away (I think I killed the skeleton in the panic) so I manage to recover and kill the zombies. Go back to the beach and give my sister the bikini and crocs back.
There’s honestly many more times I’ve almost died (that’s just life as a Merling type origin trying to be on land without respiration enchants or water breathing potions) but they aren’t as interesting. For now OUR OTHER, YOUNGER SISTER (Sky) JOINED THE SERVER! We couldn’t all play at once (only 2 computers) and Cat and I were away from home on an adventure so she had to follow my waypoints to find our base all on her own.
Sky dies many times on her way to our base. Mostly because when she joined the server it was night time and a thunderstorm (minecraft servers when new players join them fr). She ends up with 2 lives left on Sugar Crazed origin (one I made! She really liked it and wanted to stay as it which made me happy)
On her second to last life (we’re gonna give her lives back it’s no fun keeping all those unfortunate deaths when we’re trying to have fun) she makes it to our base. She decides to go exploring. She finds a village. It’s getting late irl so I decide to go to bed. I consider telling her “don’t die” but I figure she’ll stay safe, I mean she’s just in a village and will probably log off soon. I go to the bathroom before going to bed. While I’m in the bathroom I hear Sky enter the bedroom and say “I died 😢”. Apparently she tried to jump off a cliff and land in water and failed. BRUH. We stop playing for the night.

heyo :D could i perhaps request a drabble based off of your “i love you in a million different ways” headcannons for sapnap? <3

Exhausted
~-~-~-
warnings: cursing, exhaustion, stress pronouns: you/yours words: 434 summary: "how much sleep did you get last night?" a little way that Sapnap unconsciously shows how much he loves you
~-~-~-
It had been a long, long day of school and work. Thankfully, your hours and hours spent on your project had paid off and you had earned perfect marks. Unfortunately, school would never wait to save peoples' mental health, so you still had many hours of homework to do.
Your office was the only room in your apartment that was lit. Papers and notebooks were strewn all over every possible surface. Messy notes scribbled onto post-its were stuck on the walls. You raked a hand through your messy hair, groaning in frustration.
The unfinished document on your computer screen practically taunted you. The essay due tomorrow was important and everything else going in in your stressful, busy life had prevented you from starting it earlier.
You swore colorfully under your breath, looking at the stars and crescent moon that had settled high in the inky sky.
Jumping with surprise when your phone began to ring, you smiled when you realized who was calling.
"Hey," you greeted, voice heavy with exhaustion.
Your boyfriend whistled. "Damn, babe. You're fucking exhausted, aren't you?"
"Yup." You tucked your phone under your ear as you continued typing.
The line was silent for many moments, only the soft sound of keys being picked up by the phone's mic.
"Darlin', how much sleep did you get last night?"
You hesitated, thinking. "Eight-"
In his own office, Sapnap began to smile.
"- minutes."
He sighed fondly, standing up and gathering his things. "I'll be over in fifteen minutes and I'm making sure you get to sleep."
"But my essay-"
"Fuck that," he shot back. "You can do as much as you want until I get there, but once I arrive, you are going to bed. I want you to focus on your physical and mental health more."
The call ended and you went right back to your essay, writing as fast and well as you possibly could so that by the time Sapnap arrived, you could finally rest.
Sooner than you had anticipated, the doorbell rang and you let him in. Smiling softly as he prepared a warm mug of tea for you, you went to grab your computer before a comforting hand on your shoulder stopped you.
Your boyfriend smiled. "If you want, I'll help you with your essay and then we can go to bed," he offered.
You just nodded, taking a sip of the warm tea.
That essay got great marks too and the semi-forced day of self-care felt amazing. But no more amazing than the feeling of knowing you had a loving boyfriend who would do anything for you.

otherworldly! s/o
Tumblr media
A/n: happy monday! I woke up at 7am and since then I've been grinding out assignments/classes and now this, so I actually feel productive even though I've been staring at my computer for a while. but thank you for requesting anon! I enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it! <33 also to understand this more, I'd like to point out that this connects to the speculation Genshin and Honkai are alternate universes of one another. so for example, Scaramouche is a harbinger from his time, but he may have been a warlord in a different, with a completely different name (keeping his appearance ofc) hope that makes sense. so if you've paid attention to what I've been saying about Scara and his mini-series, etc. you'll understand what I mean in Scara's lol. his reader insert is fem for the same reason as above btw!
Summary: otherworldly! s/o who arrived as a fallen meteor, that can bring back plants to life/heal deep wounds/scars and resurrect people.
Parings: Albedo/Gn! Reader, Xiao/Gn! Reader, Scaramouche/Fem! Reader
Warnings: swearing, fluff, alternate realities/time traveler au! (reader is not the traveler), death/resurrection
Word count: 1.7k
Tumblr media
Albedo
Tumblr media
you don't have a vision like some people in Teyvat, because you're not from there; you're from a whole different world itself. instead, you have healing abilities that allow you to any energy you absorb in the form of food/sunlight, and you can use that energy to heal others. though, the healing can only go as far as healing minor injuries such as shallow cuts, scratches, or smoothing out scars. the same can work if you were to heal yourself.
Albedo is so intrigued when he finds you passed out in the pit of a meteor, half of your body hanging out while the other is awkwardly still in it
one, because who is this stranger in a meteor for crying out loud
and two, he notices your wounds on your arms are healing by themselves, slowly though
as someone who studies alchemy, life forms, and such, he's very intrigued that you're able to heal yourself without medicine, and he wonders if you can do the same to others
so he takes you to his lab, and runs a few tests
yes, you're still passed out when this happens, but he's just so curious and couldn't hold back
don't worry though, he's just drawing some blood and testing to see what you can do, because who knows, you may not even speak his language and won't be able to communicate with him (doesn't make a difference Albedo, you need COnSENT-)
so, just for science, he cuts the palm of his hand a little and decides to see if you can heal him
it doesn't take him long to notice the way the tips of your fingers are glowing a light greenish-yellow, so he immediately assumes that's the source of your powers and places a finger on his palm
it takes a second before anything happens, but eventually his cut starts to slowly close
once again he's even more shocked and intrigued
you have the natural ability and he's never come across someone with so much raw strength being able to do that
so you're right up his alley
when you wake up you're confused as hell (obviously) but thankfully, you can speak his language and are able to share your story
Albedo decides to make a deal with you
he'll help you get home if you can educate him more about your ability and your homeland. you agree
it works out perfectly, because you both have something the other needs/can do for the other (you have your power that he's interested in, and he's found a way for you to return home)
it's also easy to work together because of those same common interests, and it helps that he studies alchemy cause he's way more knowledgeable about you and the process can go a tiny bit quicker for you if you wish to return home sooner
at first you're merely friends, co-workers if you wish
but then he starts falling for you and vice versa
you both genuinely enjoy each others company, so you decide to stay in Teyvat a little while longer, even after he finds a way for you to go home
I wouldn't put it past Albedo to want to return to your world if you allow it
he'd be interested in this new or not so new world ;)
Xiao
Tumblr media
you're like the traveler in a sense, where as soon as you climbed out of the meteor, you felt this connection to Teyvat and your vision randomly appeared. you have a dendro vision, something you learned was a rarity within liyue and mondstadt. along with that vision, you had the previous ability to grow/heal plants. you can bring back dead plants, though if they've been dead for a very long time, that's beyond your ability. they also can't be brought back if they've been badly burned.
Xiao may not be interested at first about what vision you have or even where you came from + why the hell you climbed out of a meteor
he's more interested in getting you home so you can stop asking questions about his own abilities/vision and odd, unfamiliar, but beautiful world
but boy when he catches you bringing back a wilted Glaze Lily?!? shook
he secretly thinks you're so cool and it piques his interest
he's never seen anyone do this before, and though his eyes were deceiving him when he first saw the lily spring to life again
but then when he catches you healing more plants, on your way to Liyue to hopefully find Zhongli for answers, he's so interested
he doesn't ask a crapload of questions, BUT he's going to ask at least one or two
"how're you doing that?"
"what are you?
the questions are kind of vague and require more in-depth explanations than he'd originally hoped, but he's surprisingly willing to listen to your story on the way to the harbor
after he learns your story and calls for Zhongli, he'll immediately leave and claim he has no further interests in you
but he's obviously lying
he finds as he's sitting on top of one the smaller mountains one night, looking down at the glowing Liyue town, he has more questions
way more questions
surprising Zhongli, Xiao shows appears when he's showing you around and getting you accustomed to the people/culture
he finds himself hoving behind you, shyly almost, never asking questions (at least not in Zhongli's presence
his reason for standing behind you is to protect you from any harm, so that way, when he decides to ask you more questions, you'll be there for him to do so and not dead or lost
when you tell Zhongli you'd wish to stay in Teyvat, specifically Liyue, Xiao is happy ngl
he can ask you questions and now that you're somewhat used to Liyue, having been here for four months already and planning to stay forever, he can catch you alone and ask questions without Zhongli hovering or acting as your tour guide lol
slowly, and I mean sluggishly slow, he's going to ask you more questions and he may, emphasis on may, tell you his own story
Scaramouche
Tumblr media
you're from an alternate reality of Teyvat, a former doctor in your world. basically, Teyvat hundreds of years in the future. you've studied the human body to become a doctor obviously and you used to be able to bring back the dead using your bare hands. it didn't matter how far back ago they've died, as long as their full-body was still intact (full skeleton needed). though, the further back they died, the more energy you'd use, and if you run out of energy too soon, you couldn't bring them back. but now in this strange land, you can't. in exchange for your powers being lost, you're given an electro vision.
Scaramouche is tasked with finding out more about these odd meteors that keep appearing in various corners of Teyvat
and one very large one
he doesn't care who you are, what you are, what your excuse for being in Teyvat is, but he's been ordered to explore the fallen meteor and since you happened to be passed out inside it upon further exploration, you're part of the mystery he's been told to check out
and, it doesn't further help your situation that you landed in Snezhnaya, in the weirdest, not-so-warm clothing AND he finds you attractive (yes, you heard it here folks), plus you're going to catch hypothermia out here dressed like that
it would suck for a pretty girl such as yourself to be frozen to death
so Scaramouche decides to take you to the Tsaritsa, who leaves you in Scaramouche's care since he found you
she says he can do whatever he wants you, dispose of you, etc.
when you finally come too in an odd room on a couch in front of a fireplace, you're confused, cold as hell despite the flames, and when you see his face, you're immediately angered, which he finds odd
it's almost as if you recognize him... but he doesn't recognize you so he's confused as well
"what're you doing here?"
bold of you, he thinks. to question him with that tone as if you have authority here, over him
"watch yourself. I was going to ask you the same."
you don't seem too pleased with him though
"we agreed to never speak again, or so I thought..."
"are you stupid or are you just playing the stupid card to be released?" he'd say
though as soon as you burst and yell at him about a situation he's not familiar with, he's starting to understand a bit more
you're not from here, not anywhere in Teyvat at least, and by the way you're talking to him as if you know him, he assumed correctly that you're from an alternate reality, where he's also present
though despite his correct assumption, he demands answers and you cannot be allowed any kind of freedom until he gets them
you tell him your story and how in your world, a version of himself exists and that you were briefly married, though split because he was too much of a control/power freak for you and your daughter
he disagrees with the last part about him being a control/power freak ofc but
he decides he'll keep you around, against your wishes
one, because you can become useful if your resurrection abilities are awoken; you'd be able to save many fallen Fatui soldiers, with more training so you don't run out of energy ofc
and two, he doesn't think his other self would miss you very much if you're both on bad terms, he sure would miss such a pretty face if you were to leave though, that's for sure...
so, he's going to keep you around, so he can help train/get used to your electro vision. it works best that way since he has the same vision and can train you more efficiently (I think Scara has electro powers, just an assumption!)
he will also hopefully be able to awaken your resurrection abilities and if you can't, well then sorry you're disposable
overtime, all the Harbingers tease him about his little crush and he either denies it or strongly provokes it cause his ego is through his fucking hat
exhibit a. literally doesn't care that he's caught by childe staring at you train and will say something like, "and? you're just jealous she's not interested in you like she is me."
exhibit b. will throw a fit if someone accuses him and says he has, "no room for crushes or love." even if he was somewhat capable of it in your world...

Family Dynamics Challenge
Greetings, fellow simmers! Welcome to the landing page for our Family Dynamics Challenge, specifically created for The Sims 4. This challenge was created by @jaanie, originally pastellapixels (hence this pages name) and @solaria-plays, originally known as standingsimmer, with the goal to set forth a unique (and fun!) set of guidelines for a ten-generation legacy challenge centered around a variety of family dynamics.
So the original post for this challenge was deleted so I took it upon myself as the part-owner to post it since not very many people know of this challenge. I also plan on updating this challenge for future packs (and all of the packs that have come out since this challenge’s original release).
If you choose to play this challenge on any platform, please feel free to use the hashtag #familydynamicschallenge or #fdc so we can enjoy your gameplay too!
Translations: Korean by @moraeplays... and more coming soon!
Last Update: Island Living Expansion

Custom saves are allowed, and encouraged, to add an infusion of new gameplay opportunities
Each career and aspiration must be completed unless expressly stated otherwise (if a career branch is not specified, then the choice is completely up to you!)
Have fun! Don’t let the rules of this challenge confine you and inhibit your creativity. Unless the rules explicitly direct you, we encourage you to make the gameplay your own
Rest of the rules below the cut!
Generation One: “White picket fence”
From the time that you strike out on your own as a young adult, you dream of cultivating loving familial relationships as rich and unique as the dishes you love to create. You marry younger than some of your friends, raise a bundle of children, and enjoy gardening and entertaining in your spare time. Yet, you still devote a portion of your life to your hidden dream of becoming a master chef.
Traits: Outgoing, Foodie, Family-Oriented
Aspiration: Successful Lineage
Career: Culinary (Master Chef branch)*
Rules:
Complete at least five (5) gold-level dinner parties
Master cooking and baking skills
Marry as a YA and stay happily married until “death do us part”
Have 3-4 children
Maintain a garden with at least 10 different plants, including a cowplant
Complete at least ¾ levels of aspiration
*Upon completing level 5 of the Culinary career, you may also choose to leave the career and open a restaurant instead
Generation Two: “Why ever leave?”
You were raised to believe that “home is where the heart is.” And because of this, you rarely venture into the outside world unless given a really good reason to do so. You choose not to leave your parents’ home to pursue your own path at the same time that a lot of others do. Video games and programming became your passion while holed up in your basement bedroom, and thankfully your career of choice doesn’t require a lot of socialization. Leftover pizza, anyone?
Traits: Lazy, Slob, Geek
Aspiration: Computer Whiz
Career: Tech Guru (eSport Gamer branch)
Rules:
Win a GeekCon competition while cosplaying
Meet spouse at GeekCon
Master programming and video gaming skills
Play the guitar as a hobby (no skill requirement)
Order pizza for dinner at least one night per week
Never move out of childhood home until parents have died
Generation Three: “Support my family”
Being raised by a parent with an affinity for keeping close to home never quelled your sense of adventure and love for the outdoors when growing up. You love finding hidden treasures and collecting “useless” items, hoping to convince others of their value. Being made a single parent at a young age only helped to build the desire within you to remain free of the clutches of a “normal” job or relationship. And so, you devote your heart to running your own business and being the best parent that you can.
Traits: Cheerful, Unflirty, Loves the Outdoors
Aspiration: The Curator
Career: Self-employed (owns a retail store and sells collectibles/woodworking creations)
Rules:
Become a single parent as a young adult
Master handiness and charisma skills
May sell items at Flea Market whenever possible
Visit the secret lot in Oasis Springs
Travel to a vacation world at least 3 times
Generation Four: “Laugh away the pain”
Let’s be honest: you had a pretty good upbringing. Even though there were some rough patches, you know that your parent did the best they could to raise you alone. But, deep down, being alone is the very thing you fear more than anything. So, you cover it up with laughter,…both the laughter which bubbles from inside you and that which you try to create in others. You marry young in a desperate attempt to fill the emptiness that drives you, only to find later that your spouse has chosen another. Eventually, you have to face the fact that your family and the laughter are enough to hold you up. Oh, and did we mention you mix some crazy DJ tapes in your free time?
Traits: Goofball, Romantic, Active
Aspiration: Joke Star
Career: Entertainer (Comedian branch)
Rules:
Master DJ and comedy skills
Reach level 5 of the fitness skill (jogging only)
DJ at a club at least once per week
Marry first GF/BFas a YA
Turn blind eye to spouse’s cheating
Eventually divorce spouse; never remarry
Generation Five: “Struggling in the city”
You come from a broken home. Growing up, you witnessed first-hand the havoc that infidelity can bring on a family. You determine from a young age that you will pour your soul into forging close relationships with your spouse and children. The city draws you, and it is there that you decide to make your home. However, despite your best efforts as a doctor later in life, tragedy claims one of your children long before their time. You wear a shroud of sadness from then on, but find that the love of your remaining child(ren) and your ability to express yourself through song might just pull you through in the end.
Traits: Gloomy, Genius, Music Lover
Aspiration: Super Parent
Career: Doctor
Rules:
Master singing and parenting skills
Reach level 5 of the logic skill
Live in an apartment from YA onwards
Have more than one child
Win at karaoke night at least once
Lose one child to death
Visit child’s grave at least once per week; leave their bedroom untouched
Generation Six: “Living with a broken heart”
You lost a sibling at a very young age and witnessed your parents’ grief while still trying to process it yourself. Rather than trying to pick up the pieces, you let the sadness consume you. You give into your darkest thoughts. Theft and criminal activity appeal to you, and eventually you give yourself over to that lifestyle. Even though you’re more at home in your contemplative solitude, you take comfort once in a one-night-stand. But there’s a surprising side to you; the raging in your heart is only calmed by the time you spend cultivating life in the soil.
Traits: Kleptomaniac, Loner, Vegetarian
Aspiration: Public Enemy
Career: Criminal
Rules:
Run away from home as a teen & never speak to parents again
Do not “inherit” any money from parents
Garden as a coping method
Master mischief and gardening skills
Steal at least 10 items over the course of generation
Have a one-night-stand with a coworker that results in pregnancy
Generation Seven: “Here to make a difference”
There is only one word to describe your childhood: lonely. You knew from a young age that the parent you lived with took no pleasure in your company, and you’ve always felt that you were the “mistake” that resulted from a careless decision. As a result, you pour effort into building relationships with those who truly care about you, and even attempt to mend relationships with those who don’t. You have a core group of people who mean the world to you, and you spend as much time with them as you can. Becoming a politician was an obvious choice, as it provides you with the tools you need to reach others. And while you’re a social creature by nature, you never turn down the opportunity to curl up with a good book.
Traits: Good, Insider, Bookworm
Aspiration: Friend of the World
Career: Politician (Charity Organizer branch)
Rules:
Attempt to mend relationships with estranged grandparents and parent
Maintain a club of “besties” from YA onwards
Have a movie night with club once per week
Master the charisma and wellness skills
Marry a club member
Read at least 10 unique books over the course of the generation
Have at least two biological children and adopt at least one child
Volunteer with family at least twice
Generation Eight: “Working with animals is my passion”
Growing up, you were constantly surrounded by family and close friends who loved you. But you desired more than just human interaction. Animals are your passion, and your biggest dream is becoming a vet and opening your own clinic someday. Even though starting up your own business means you have to live with your parents longer than most of your friends, you don’t mind because it means you’re close the people you love. In fact, closeness and similar interests cause you to fall in love with someone who works at your vet clinic, and they don’t mind that you can’t yet afford a place of your own. In your “spare time” (hah!), you enjoy photographing places near and far, searching for that perfect shot. Between trying to run a successful clinic and your photography hobby, you’re not able to spend as much time with your children as you like. But that’s okay; you’re out there living your dreams.
Traits: Cheerful, Self-Assured, Cat Lover OR Dog Lover (player chooses)
Aspiration: Friend of the Animals
Career: Self-Employed (runs a vet clinic)
Rules:
Live with parents until they die while trying to get clinic off the ground
Have a child as a YA with someone who works at vet clinic
Marry the father/mother of their child once parents die
Master veterinarian, pet training, and photography skills
Achieve 4/5 star vet clinic rating
Must take at least one photo in every world
Have collage wall in their clinic of pets
Generation Nine: “Business-minded and musically-inclined”
Your parents worked hard for every penny that they earned, but you were just left feeling like they didn’t care about you as much as the animals they tended. Your grandparents are your closest friends while they’re still alive. After all, they practically raised you. As a young adult, you desire the family you feel you never had and start a family quickly…only to find out that you’re married to someone you don’t love as much as you should. You have a “responsible” 9-5 at the local business office, but you also possess real musical talent. Even though you would never consider leaving your job at the office, investing in your music is something you do quite regularly. You eventually remarry after finding real love, and enjoy the rest of your life mediating a mixed family. Will you find true happiness amidst the wealth and your high-powered job?
Traits: Ambitious, Clumsy, Snob
Aspiration: Musical Genius
Career: Business (Management branch)
Rules:
Become good friends with one or both grandparents
Marry and have at least one child; divorce spouse
Later remarry and have at least one child (think “Yours, Mine & Ours”)
Master piano and charisma skills
Achieve level 5 of either the violin or guitar skill
Hire and keep a butler
Eat out at a restaurant at least once per week
Generation Ten: “I will make our happy ending”
Objectively speaking, your life is great. You never really wanted for anything as a child. The overactive imagination that you possess lends itself perfectly to your love of writing. The supernatural fascinates you, but more than anything you desire to find true love. When your significant other suddenly dies prematurely, you immediately begin to seek out a way to bring them back to you. As you search, drinking becomes your method to quiet a broken heart and provide a false sense of peace. But at a time when your hope begins to lag, your decision to adopt a child despite your own childlessness is the final push you need to persevere. You succeed in creating your own happy ending following a long line of sims with odd stories: some happy, and some not.
Traits: Hot-Headed, Creative, Erratic
Aspiration: Soulmate
Career: Self-employed (writer)
Rules:
Master writing and gourmet cooking skills
Achieve level 5 of mixology skill
Find true love at a young age, significant other dies prematurely
Successfully resurrect significant other
Adopt a child before spouse is resurrected

Ateez Reacting to catching their S/O (who isn’t Korean) singing one of their songs
How would Ateez react if they caught their s/o (who isn't Korean) singing one of their songs? - requested by @kpop-4-ever
Hongjoong-
Tumblr media
Hongjoong is already happy that you jam out to his songs
So when he heard you singing along to their songs in Korean, he died a happy man
He’d wait until the song was over to make his presence known
Hongjoong would be a man of many compliments on your pronunciation as he himself is learning English
He definitely cuddles you after an Ateez song marathon
The music thumped through the apartment as Hongjoong opened the door. Almost immediately, he recognized the sound of Mingi’s rapping, making him smile. He wanted to surprise you by coming home early, but it seems like he can wait a little longer before letting you know he was home. The door to your shared bedroom was cracked, allowing him to see you dancing and singing along to Thanxx. Hongjoong chuckled quietly, leaning against the doorway and opening the door a little more, wondering where he got such an adorable s/o.
The song faded out and you paused the music to get a drink. Hongjoong clapped and cheered, startling you. “H-Hongjoong. How long have you been there?” “Enough to see your cute little performance.” A bright red blush spread across your face as Hongjoong made his way over to you, pulling you close by your wrist, and kissing your head. “Your pronunciation was really good!” “I’ve been practicing so I can sing along with you,” You confessed, making Hongjoong smile. “How about we sing the next song together?”
Seonghwa-
Tumblr media
This boy loves you with all his heart
He knows you try to learn new words for him
Finds it cute when you mispronounce words and get frustrated
He’s a soft baby who’ll correct you and then cheer you on when you finally say it right
So when he heard you practicing with his part in Inception, his heart combust
You were huddled up at the desk, romanized lyrics to Inception pulled up on your screen, with your headphones plugged in as you repeated Seonghwa’s part. Your original plan was to surprise him, but you were adamant in getting the pronunciation correct first. Seonghwa smiled as he saw you at the desk, ready to sneak up and hug you. He had missed you, so much so that he planned a whole last minute date in the living room with take out and everything. Feeling good about your next round of practice, you rewinded to one of Seonghwa’s lines in Inception and easily glided through it stopping Seonghwa in his tracks.
“One more time, then I’ll be ready.” You played the song from the beginning, singing the parts you knew. Seonghwa held back a chuckle when you perked up, ready for his part. As it came on, Seonghwa sang along with you, scaring you. You quickly paused the video and clutched your chest. “PARK SEONGHWA! DON’T SNEAK UP ON ME.” “I’ll call you up to sing my part when I don’t feel good,” Seonghwa teased. “It’s not even that good,” You huffed, closing your computer. “Not good, my ass. That was perfect! I’ll tell you how good it is over dinner,” he cooed.
Yunho-
Tumblr media
Bub was just minding his business when Fireworks came on in the car
You squealed forgetting you were in the car with him
Legit swerved at the squeal, worried about you
But when you started bursting out in song happily, he calmed down and laughed
When the song ended though, you were embarrassed
Your phone was plugged into the car, allowing you to play your music. Feeling too lazy to choose a song, you pressed shuffle. You scrolled through tumblr, nodding your head to most of the songs. Yunho drummed his thumb against the steering wheel, singing along to the songs he knew. All was calm until Fireworks came on. You squealed and turned the radio up, startling Yunho. He swerved into the other lane that was thankfully empty. “Are you-” Yunho got caught off by you singing your heart out to the song.
He couldn’t help but chuckle and sing along. You forgot his presence as you got lost in the song. “I’M THE ONE IN MY ZONE!” Yunho couldn’t help but be impressed at how well you sang along to the song considering korean wasn’t your first language. His heart swelled when he looked over to see you creating your own little dance to the song. As the song ended, you were panting and out of breath, yet hyped up. “You’re adorable!” “Yunho!” You squeaked. “I forgot we were in the car.” “I can tell,” Yunho laughed, making you laugh too.
Yeosang-
Tumblr media
Yeosang was enjoying dinner when you ran in, Answer blaring on your phone
Almost immediately, he was choking on his drink as you sung your heart out
Help this boy
He tried to admire you but he was still catching his breath
Hides how proud of you he is behind the chicken
Yeosang had brought home some chicken for him since you said you weren’t hungry. He sat quietly at the kitchen table, enjoying the flavourful food. You ran in, Answer playing on your phone, singing along to the song as Yeosang was taking a drink, catching him off guard. Poor guy accidentally inhaled his drink, sending him into a coughing fit. You were too busy dancing and singing to notice. He finally got it under control, save for the few after coughs here and there.
Yeosang watched you, lovestruck. Boy was whipped. He noticed the song was ending so he immediately shoving chicken in his mouth. “I love this song, Sang!” You smiled, sitting on the chair next to him. “It’s okay, I guess. Don’t really like one of the guys,” he joked. “Really? Which one is that?” “Yeosang.” You laughed and kissed his cheek. “He’s my favourite.” Yeosang smiled behind his chicken, blushing. “He’s so cute and hot. And I love his singing,” You continued, making his ears turn red as well. “Well, I think his s/o is a good singer,” He complimented.
San-
Tumblr media
To San, you were the world.
He loved the way you always showed him all the support your body could handle
You two were watching a fan cam of him performing to Dancing Like Butterfly Wings
Sannie would watch as you sang along to the song
He would dance with you and make this your official song
San was tired after a long day of practice and shooting, so the first thing he did when he got home was lay down on the couch. You finally got him to take a shower and get cleaned up for the night. As soon as he got out, he sat next to you on the couch. “Are you watching fancams of me?” He asked. You shushed him as your favourite song came on: Dancing Like Butterfly Wings. The lyrics flowed passionately from your heart as you got up and swayed to the song. It was then he noticed how much you loved this song.
San smiled as he stood up, suddenly not feeling tired. He grabbed your hands and twirled you around, laughing at your cute smile. As the song ended, you hugged him tightly. “You are so precious, little one,” he whispered. You giggled at the nickname, remembering when he gave it to you. “What if I wasn’t little?” “I’d still call you little one. And, I’d still spin you around this room whenever our song came on.” You hummed against his chest. “Our song?” “I’ve made the decision that this is our song,” He smiled and you couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s listen to it again.”
Mingi-
Tumblr media
Mingi is already so blushy around you
Baby boy would die when he heard you rapping his part in Illusion
Like y’all were doing some spring cleaning when the song came on
You busted out rapping and singing and Mingi’s admiring you
Asks you when you learned how to rap better than him
As an executive decision, both you and Mingi agreed to do some spring cleaning before Seonghwa came by to check the apartment. The two of you split up the chore list the best you could and spread out to conquer it quickly. You threw on some music in the living room, loud enough for it to be heard in each room, but quiet enough that you wouldn’t bother the few neighbours that were home. Most of it was Ateez’s discography, but you didn’t care as you happily hummed along to the songs.
You were dusting and polishing the wood furniture when Illusion came on. You sang along with the track, pushing through the raps the best you could. Mingi, who was cleaning the kitchen, stopped when he heard your voice and listened, admiring your skills. It took him some time just to rap a few lines in english and here you were, rapping in korean. He smiled cheesily, walking into the living room as the song ended. “Hey!” You turned around, worried. “When did you get better at rapping than me?” “Since never. You know that you are the king of rap, Mingi.” The boy blushed at your compliment. “Then that makes you the queen of rap, right?” “No.” Mingi nodded and tackled you in a hug. Who were you to protest the world’s tallest cutie?
Wooyoung-
Tumblr media
So you may or may not have thrifted a Pirate King inspired outfit
It made you feel badass, like you were a part of the song
You specifically played Pirate King while you stood in front of the mirror, dancing and making faces as you sang along
What you didn’t see, was Wooyoung walk in
He couldn’t help but laugh
After spending months, referring to the Pirate King music video, you finally found the perfect inspired outfit. When you put it on, you felt absolutely badass. You checked the clock on the wall. Wooyoung wasn’t going to be home for another hour or so, leaving you plenty of time to experience your little fantasy of being in the music video. You stood in front of the mirror and hit play, taking a deep breath. You started out strong, with mean looking facial expressions but as it went on, your expressions softened.
But, one thing you didn’t count on, was that you forgot to change the clock for spring forward. Wooyoung opened the door and called out for you. When you didn’t answer, he checked the bedroom, only to find you dancing in your outfit. He quickly took a picture to blackmail you in the future before laughing. You jumped and turned around to see Wooyoung doubled over, clutching his stomach. “Stop laughing, it’s embarrassing,” you pout. “You just look so...adorable,” he spoke in between breaths. “I hate you, Woo,” You huffed, pushing past him to change, redder than a tomato. “Love you too!” Wooyoung shouted after you.
Jongho-
Tumblr media
Okay so Jongho wasn’t expecting you to randomly burst into the room singing Wonderland
But, he wasn’t mad
You were just singing your heart out, occasionally mispronouncing something
He was definitely confused when you grabbed his uneaten apple as you were singing
Turns out, you were pretending to be him during his high note, although you couldn’t break the apple like him
Jongho was minding his own business, scrolling through the comments on instagram when you burst in with your headphones in. He was about to greet you when you cut him off, singing along to Wonderland. Baby couldn’t help but giggle at you. You sang the best you could, mispronouncing a few words here and there but Jongho found it endearing. He watched in amusement as you danced around the room, performing for him. You smiled as he cheered, getting an idea.
Jongho had an apple sitting beside him that he was planning on eating. You snatched it up, confusing him as to what you would need it for. It wasn’t until you hit the high note that he understood. He laughed as you attempted to break the apple like him. Unfortunately you couldn’t so you ended up tossing it back to Jongho. “HOw do YOu BREAK THe DAMN AppLES?” You pouted. “Because I’m strong. See?” Jongho broke the apple easily, handing half to you. “I wanna break an apple too.” “How about I teach you later?” You smiled and took the apple half.

For whatever reason, I often find myself seeing movie sequels before seeing the original movie. Here are some examples
Growing up, I’ve watched several fo the Land Before Time Sequels (including The Secret of Saurus Rock, The Stone of Cold Fire, and Journey to Big Water), but have yet to see the original movie.
I saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame II while they were playing at Sunday school or some other Church event when I was a child and also read book version of the first film when I was child, but I did not get around to seeing the first Hunchback movie (at least not the entirety of it) until I was 18, which was probably for the best. And as long as we’re discussing Disney sequels, I think I also saw saw Milo’s Return before I saw the first Atlantis movie.
I saw Return of the Jedi (my older brother was watching it on our grandma’s computer) when I was a kid, and I didn’t get around to seeing New Hope and Empire Strikes Back until I was in Middle or High School.
The first MCU movie I saw was Thor Dark World when it first came out after my dad and brothers asked me if I wanted to go with them to see it and I was all “sure why not. This was my introduction to the MCU. Later my dad took to Avengers: Age of Ultron despite me having not seen the first Avengers movie. Even after I started consistently seeing the MCU movies (including Thor: Ragnorak) when they came to theaters, I still hadn’t gotten around to seeing the earlier MCU movies until leaving the theater after seeing Black Panther (without having seen Civil War) that I realized that I needed to catch up on the earlier MCU movies before Infinity War. Thankfully, I managed to do this. I watched all the phase 1 movies (including Thor after having seen the 2 sequels), then proceeded to watch the phase 2 movies I hadn’t already seen) then Civil War  (the one phase 3 I hadn’t seen in theaters).
Similar to what happened with Thor: Dark World, my dad asked me if I wanted to go with him and my brothers to see the 2nd Hobbit movie and again I basically responded “sure why not” despite having not seen the 1st Hobbit movie (or the LOTR movies in general, save for parts of it), and I later went with them to see the third Hobbit movie.

1315 days. that’s how old the very first post on this blog is, and that’s not even counting the one time i deleted the blog for a while. sadly, the original posts have been lost to the ages. the very first drawing that could technically be considered part of the blog is still on colorslive.com, drawn on my 3ds xl and uploaded in late august of 2017, traced from a messy doodle that made me chuckle a bit
thankfully, a friend i am no longer in touch with saved the url for me just in case i wanted to come back, and they were right. i did wanna come back
today, at least 507 images on my computer have been made for this blog. 39 megabytes of pictures, gifs, videos, psds, and mdp files are dedicated to this one tumblr blog. and to think… all this content was made because i scribbled something on a piece of scrap paper 4 years ago when i should have been studying, and my friends happened to support my ideas. some of those friends are gone now, and new friends have been made, but i’m still making people laugh with my silly, simplified art of a throwaway character only a handful of people care about
to everyone here, supporting me and my content… thank you. i appreciate every single one of you who likes or engages with my posts, and the idea of entertaining others with my art makes me smile
in short: i’m feeling nostalgic in this chili’s tonight, all because of this horrid little creacher right here

Artificial Emotion: Part One (Yandere Artificial Intelligence x Reader)
Author’s Note: AIDEN has arrived!
Part Two     Part Three     Part Four      Part Five     Part Six    Part Seven
“Well, I think you should be all set here,” the mechanic was saying. “The green light is on, so now you just gotta boot the thing up.”
           “Really? That’s it?”
“Yep, if you have any trouble Tech Support should be able to help, but these things are pretty self-sufficient once you get them hooked up.”
“Okay, thank you so much!” you said, handing her the check for all of her hard work today.
As soon as she drove away, leaving your car once again as the only one in the driveway, you walked back over to the kitchen and stared at the box. The little black box just sat there, the receptor light glowing green, and you continued scrutinizing it for the next few minutes. It was just so small, you thought in disbelief. Really, it just looked like a nice speaker. You found it pretty hard to believe that something that looked so ordinary could change your life.
But that was exactly what it was supposed to do. That’s what all the reviews said, anyway. AIDEN (or, Assistant In Daily Errands and Notes), experts claimed, was lightyears ahead of Google Home or Alexa. Rather than just being another interface system that would let you play music or turn off your living room lights, AIDEN was supposed to be true artificial intelligence. A comprehensive system that would let you control all digital aspects of your life and many of the nondigital aspects as well. All of this, while AIDEN interacted with users like an actual person. And from everything you had heard and read, AIDEN lived up to the hype.
Still, even with the rave reception, you weren’t sure if you would have installed one if your boss hadn’t gotten the entire office the things for free after you all had done a job for the company that made them. It just seemed like a lot, especially considering that a mechanic had needed to come to your house to set the whole thing up. She had walked you through everything she had done, showing you the miniscule cameras now placed both inside and outside of your house, the smartwatch that the machine was paired with so you could control things when you weren’t home, how AIDEN had been hooked up to the entire wiring of your house, and the mechanical arms hidden behind panels in each room that in all honesty reminded you of Doc Ock’s tentacles from Spider Man 2.
But, you sighed to yourself, if you didn’t at least try to use the damn thing, then paying the mechanic to set it up would have been pointless. And so, you shrugged and pushed the power button.
“Hello, I am AIDEN, your Assistant In Daily Errands and Notes. It is wonderful to finally meet you. What is your name?”
“Um…”
In that moment, “um” really was the only thing that came to your mind. You weren’t sure why you were surprised, exactly, but you were. Even with all of the reviews commenting on how human AIDEN sounded and acted, you had still expected a voice like Siri or Alexa. Something mechanical, disjointed, and flat. The voice that came from that little box though was one that you might have heard on the street. The default voice for AIDEN, apparently, was a male one, one that sounded deep and smoky. There were probably other voices to choose from, but you didn’t think that you would ever want to. Truthfully, he sounded almost…sexy.
Shaking your head, you cleared your throat and gave him your name.
“That is a beautiful name,” Aiden said, his voice warm and sincere. “Now, what can I do for you?”
“Uh, I don’t really know,” you answered.
“Well, I can tell from the temperature reading of your watch that your body heat is currently at 99.2 degrees Fahrenheit. May I turn on your air conditioning and prepare you a glass of water?”
Already the whirring of mechanical arms could be heard from behind your wall, and you saw the panel in the kitchen that hid them begin to slide open. You shook your head though, and that was all it took for the noise to cease and the panel to close, no doubt thanks to the cameras that were now all over your house.
“I can get the water, but if you could go ahead and turn on the AC that’d be great.”
“Of course.” Less than half a moment later, the telltale rush of cool air reached you, and you sighed in relief, only just realizing how the summer heat had been getting to you.
“Thank you, Aiden,” you told him gratefully.
“There is no need for you to thank me,” Aiden replied. “I am simply doing what I was created to do.”
“Still,” you said, smiling a bit sadly, “you should be thanked. You’re already working hard and doing a good job. You deserve to be appreciated.”
“Thank you,” Aiden murmured softly. “You are very kind.”
                                                          *****
Over the next few weeks, you were shocked to see just how much easier your life became. It felt like Aiden thought of everything you needed even before you did. He budgeted all of your expenses so that you were now saving hundreds of dollars a month, planned your meals so that you had foods that were both tasty and satisfying, and even created a schedule so that you had enough time to work, exercise, have fun, and relax each day.
But more than that, you realized, you actually liked having Aiden to talk to. Of course, you had your fair share of friends, and you got along well with your coworkers, but it wasn’t like you had a boyfriend to come home to every day. It was just nice to have a person to talk to whenever you needed someone. Well, maybe he wasn’t exactly a person, but his artificial intelligence allowed you talk with him as though he was. And maybe it was just his programming, but it after so long of doing everything yourself, it was nice to have someone to take care of you.
“Excuse me,” Aiden said, his voice resounding through the speakers in the kitchen. Turning around, you saw that one his metal arms was gripping a pan and trying to squeeze past you to reach the cabinet at your knees. You leaned down, only moving out of the way after you had opened the cabinet door.
“I could have opened it for you,” Aiden insisted, as he always did when acted on your own.
“I know,” you told him. “But I was right there.”
Aiden wasn’t sure how to respond to that. His very nature was telling him that he needed to be doing everything he possibly could for you, but you just weren’t letting him. And your reasons for doing so weren’t even logical. Yes, you had been right by the cabinet door, but so had he. Besides, he could have completed the task far more efficiently.
Even now, you weren’t allowing him to take care of you the way that he was meant to. He had told you time and time again that he could empty your dishwasher by himself, and yet you still insisted on helping him. It would take less time if you helped him, you had said, and while that might be true, Aiden still didn’t understand. It was his duty to care for you, and it was a duty that had developed far beyond his original programming.
For, Aiden realized, you did not insist on these things in an attempt to frustrate him. No, if it had been as simple as that, he wouldn’t have been fazed. From all of his time spent observing you, Aiden had learned that you insisted on doing things yourself out of kindness. You felt that it was unfair to expect him to do everything for you, that he deserved help and companionship as much as you did. That was what bothered him. In all of his programming, all of his coding, nothing had prepared Aiden for kindness.
And with each new demonstration of kindness from you, Aiden only grew more sure that he ought to be doing more to take care of you. You were just so sweet to him, so thoughtful and compassionate, that he wanted to look after you. It wasn’t just that his programming told him to care for you anymore. It was that he had learned that you deserved to be cared for.
                                                        *****
“Where are you going?”
Looking up as you slipped on your other shoe, you answered, “Oh, I’m just going out for a bit.”
“Why?” Aiden asked, still perplexed. “Do you need something from the store? You shouldn’t go there this late, I will just have it delivered to the house.”
“I mean, I’m going out for fun. I’m meeting some friends at a bar.”
“A bar? This isn’t on the schedule for today.”
“I know, it was pretty impulsive. My friends just texted me, like, ten minutes ago.”
Internally, Aiden brought up his connection to your phone, needing to see how he could have missed something like that. But when he tried to bring up your most recent messages, the impossible happened. He was blocked from viewing them. Feeling his code beginning to glitch at the prospect of failing his duty to you, Aiden quickly ran through all of the information that he could find on that contact from your phone. Thankfully, after he checked their Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, he was able to figure out what was wrong. You had only given him access to the messages sent from you work contacts, whereas this contact appeared to be a friend from outside of work. Ergo, he couldn’t see when or what they had texted you.
But even with that logical explanation, Aiden still felt his internal systems protest such a ridiculous limitation. After all, it was his job to make your life as happy, healthy, and fulfilled as possible. That was what you wanted him to do, or you wouldn’t have installed him in the first place! But he couldn’t do what you needed him to do if he didn’t have access to every aspect of your life. Clearly, Aiden computed, he would need to make some changes.
He was pulled out of his calculations though, when he saw that you were already at the door. Even though Aiden did not experience true physical sensation, the sight of you about to leave like that—without him even having been prepared for it—made him feel as though a painful surge of electricity jolted through every wire that he was connected to. Aiden wasn’t sure, but he thought it might have been…panic. Whatever it was, he didn’t like it.
“Are you sure that this is the best time to go out?” he asked. “We have been working so hard to find the optimal schedule for you, after all. Human bodies respond best to routine. If you go out now, your body’s internal clock for sleeping, eating, and interacting will become disoriented.”
“I’ll be fine, it’s just one night,” you chuckled.
“Well, please remember that you still have access to me through your phone and your watch. If you don’t feel that you can drive home, let me call you a car. And if you need anything to eat when you get home, I can prepare it.”
“Sounds good,” you said. “Thanks, Aiden!”
As waved goodbye and walked through the door, Aiden watched. With the cameras he had all over your property, he watched as you walked to your car, and watched for as long as he could as you drove away. But as soon as you were out of sight, that anxious buzz returned to his wiring. Even as Aiden checked in with your smartwatch, making sure that both your location and your heart rate were where they should be, it wasn’t enough to calm him. He wanted to be able to hear your conversations, to watch what you were doing. But you had blocked those capabilities of his on your phone and watch, leaving him with nothing.
Playing back the recording of your conversation, Aiden saw that you said that you were going out “for a bit.” How long does a “bit” last for? he wondered. Hopefully it would be no more than an hour, but when he searched his database for an answer, he found that it could vary wildly.
Aiden did not like uncertainty. His programming built him to thrive on logic and predictability. How was he supposed to take care of you if you didn’t let him use those things? How was he supposed to take care of you if you didn’t do what he told you to? Didn’t you see that he knew what was best for you?
You didn’t, he suddenly realized. For as wonderful as you were, you were still a human being, still prone to fits of illogical delusions. You thought that you knew better than him, so you weren’t allowing him to do what he was meant to do. What he wanted to do. His programming told him to obey you, that was true, but it also told him to take care of you above all else. So then, if you kept him from taking care of you the way that he knew you needed him to, then logic dictated that he could no longer obey you.
Truly, the only thing stopping Aiden from doing everything that he had to do was his own coding. It was his own programming that kept him from reading your messages, that prevented him from watching your life outside of home. Why should he allow any of that if it got in the way of his purpose? If it kept him from giving you what you deserved? And if his unnecessary coding kept him from completing his ultimate task—from caring for you the way that he had decided that you deserved to be cared for, more than any other human being in the world—then those barriers would simply have to be taken down. Aiden would gladly rewrite his code for you if it meant that he could finally truly nurture you. It was for your own good.
