I kinda got sidetracked whilst designing nimbus’s outfit for the battle of the bands… so here’s this meme that’s canon to the au and took me longer than I would like to admit,

Peep that Amity design for the au because I’m so proud of it

but anyways I mentioned in one post that Pip ended up inheriting Belos’s curse but it’s not as powerful so he doesn’t fully become whatever slimy deer creature belos’s cursed form is (at this point in the au, it does get that worse later on though :/) and so currently even though Pip’s not in control of himself it’s only mildly inconvenient for the people around to deal with rather than dangerous because he mostly just steals magic objects to drain the magic out of as a snacc, sleeps and leaves slime everywhere (tbh just imagine him as if he’s a weird slimey cat) and if he does get aggressive he’s extremely easy to pick up.

the meme is basically what I imagine happened when luz and amity found out about it because its really funny to imagine that these two were planning a ‘platonic’ study date (this was before they started dating but when the both started getting feelings for each other) and just unexpectedly walking into this chaos

Also just realised I’ve completely forgotten to explain why Pip drains magic, it’s because he’s got pieces of basilisk in him as Belos when making him was attempting to figure out how to solve the whole having to drain palisman problem when they’re basically going extinct so he doesn’t have that problem when he eventually takes over Pip’s body and Belos landed on using Basilisk parts because of their magic draining properties which could be used to supply magic directly to the glyphs on their arms as my head canon of one part of Belos’s curse is that by getting soothed by eating palisman’s thing is because the glyphs on his arms are constantly using him as a power source because he doesn’t have a bile sac which is why he’s constantly rotting, the other part is that his cursed form was much less slimy because it was originally caused by Evelyn after the Caleb ordeal and became that way because of the glyphs.

Because of that Pip kinda has two different curse forms where one is the slimey rotting one which happens when he doesn’t have enough magic stored and when he does have some magic stored, his other form actually has fluff and looks more like a fucked up deer with a hint of titan on crack

So first off I'm NOT going to try to explain what Supernatural is. Its a garbage fire, and I am unfortunate enough to be one of the feral, touch-starved gays to live in said garbage fire. Its the best show ever but all of its accidental, its the worst show ever in terms of anything that was done on purpose, etc etc. You're on tumblr you know the drill

Anyway, before GOs2's "Final Fifteen", the ONLY connections between GO and SPN were:

A demon in spn is named Crowley, in an homage to GO Crowley. They are alike, but they are NOT the same character and I don't think it can be argued that they're the same person in different forms (bc with demons that would be possible). They are however both Scottish, greasy and have a deep disrespect for authority. I do HAVE a theory/hc connecting the two Crowleys but that's another post for another day. Weirdly, SPN!Crowley (who I'm going to call Fergus from here on out, bc even though nobody in spn or the fandom calls him that, it is his canonical first name) has very little to do with anything I'm about to say. Just fyi, he exists.

Secondly, The Hillywood show did a Supernatural parody back in 2014-ish. I will link it below if you're curious, but again not much in this video is ACTUALLY RELEVANT to what I'm about to say (however, Fergus is there. He's the Scottish guy)

However, the specific arcs of Supernatural that SURROUND the season/topic this parody is centered on (Mark of Cain arc, ~s9-10) are where the coincidences get weird, and ok now I do have to talk about Supernatural a bit.

mmmfffff. Okay so the Metatron is a greasy, annoying, manipulative, power-hungry bastard who lies every time he speaks, wants full rule over Heaven and will control anyone and wreck anything he can to get there....

...and I'm talking about the version of the Metatron from Supernatural. LONG tldr, Dean (buzz cut, older brother, guy who's in love with an angel, the guy who says the news headlines in the Destiel meme) takes this thing/curse/whole other mess called the "Mark of Cain" to kill this kinda super-powerful arch-demon called Abaddon (more on her later), and blah blah blah Supernatural Happens For A Bit, and due to the Mark's curse making Dean act like a total psycho (and also, its implied, slowly turning him into a demon) they try to get help from the Metatron, who had been locked up after... well.

-when God was no longer contacting heaven, Metatron ran away from Heaven and hid on earth because he thought that the angels would use the Word of God (which the Metatron holds) "wrong" or something

-later, took advantage of strife & power vacuums in Heaven to manipulate Cas (angel, deeply autistic, the guy who says "I love you" in the destiel meme, in love with Dean) into doing a spell that CAUSED ALL OF THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN TO FALL, for no reason other than the Metatron is an actual pissbaby.

anyway, Metatron claims he can help Dean, that was a lie (shocking, I know), Metatron pulls some bs including basically stealing Cas' life-force (a second time. the first time was when he was ALREADY fucking w Cas as mentioned above) and runs off back to heaven... along with Gadreel, who he has manipulated/convinced to help him take power in Heaven.

who's Gadreel?

well. he's the angel who let the Serpent (or in this canon, just Lucifer) into the Garden of Eden, and he was cast into Hell to be tortured forever or something as punishment. However, after Metatron's earlier all-the-angels-falling scheme, Gadreel (for reasons I'm not too sure of tbh) took the name/identity of a VERY highly-regarded and powerful angel named Ezekiel, who died of his injuries during the fall

^this last part is a detail I try hard not to think about. this is because the names and roles are JUST similar enough to GO's Ineffable Husbands for the implications make me very, very sad.

Anyway, Gadreel had been around spn canon before, posing as Ezekiel, possessing Sam blah blah blah shit happened

Anyway this is a whole lot of words to say that the season/s of SPN that The Hillywood Show was parodying were the seasons where the Metatron was a main villain, and attempted/temporarily succeeded in taking power in Heaven BY MANIPULATING THE GUY WHO LET THE DEVIL INTO THE GARDEN OF EDEN

and then The Hillywood Show (who tbh I almost feel bad for lmao like BRUH) got signed to produce the parody/teaser/release date announcement for GOs2. Where the Metatron...

I would have LOVED to see the Hillywood Show team's live and immediate reaction to the Final Fifteen because I can't even imagine what must have been going through their heads.

ah yes. the FUCKING Metatron

oh also in spn, the Metatron (its complicated but basically)severely/fatally wounds Cas, and straight-up KILLS Dean, but Dean resurrects as a demon (for a few eps at least), meaning that Metatron DID technically try, and almost succeeded in, killing both members of an angel/demon gay couple, if only bc timing lined up so that Metatron was an antagonist in the arcs where Dean was turning into a demon.

so yeah

anyway I mentioned we'd get back to Abaddon so here's those major spoilers I mentioned. I'm fairly sure these are real spoilers and not theories, since my source is wikipedia

that's the whole article, there's not much else on her on wiki (though I should really do more research on Muriel). I think I heard Neil say somewhere that he created Muriel because "he wanted an angel character, from Heaven, who was 'just nice'" but idk if anything specific has ever been said about her name.

anyway that's why the Metatron gave Muriel that book "The Crow Road" in the Final 15, why he likes her so much, and why he's having her stay on earth

"The Crow Road" is a book about the nature of Death, and Metatron is, for lack of a better/less problematic word, grooming Muriel for the role of angel of Death in the apocalypse (Abaddon being a VERY prominent figure in revelations, for those who weren't aware)

...so on top of all the other Supernatural/Hillywood-Specific coincidences, sure, let's have Abaddon too.

The Simon and Richter one is kinda poking fun at the general Smash Bros fandom depiction of them and is also based on a doodle I saw on Pinterest.

Bottom left says “he has 97 mental illnesses and is banned from most public spaces” lol. Dw! He is your friend! I just forgot to write that part :). I hope the tbh creature doodle is appreciated, I’ve drawn him like that more times than I’d like to admit—

This one is based on a photo of this guy (gotta be a Snapchat one idk I’ve never had Snapchat) with a monster energy and caption “KILL”. I think it fits the vibe.

Bottom left says “monsert!”, a silly bastardizarion of “monster”, again the energy drink. I feel like Simon would be the kind of guy to have caffeine at like 6PM and then wonder why he can’t sleep later lmao. Or worse have caffeine to avoid sleeping 💀. The other two doodles I drew because I woke up one morning and immediately imagined Simon with raccoon stripe hair for no reason.

The top doodle is based on a Simon MMD model I found of him as a Vocaloid and I thought that was hilarious and banger, we need more people making fun crossover stuff like that in the world lol. The bottom one is just him vibin(?). Idk he seems pretty distressed, but that’s his usual state so uh—

This one is based on this meme that’s kinda poking fun at the art styles commonly found in yaoi with the last one being left blank for putting whatever you like there and implying in a comedic way that it’s ‘straight man yaoi’, I’ve seen ones with things like football players or idk Breaking Bad put there lol. Basically I saw the meme and realized that all the different styles kinda lined up too well with some Simon designs and well yeah this happened 💀💀💀. So we got Ayami Kojima’s design as “straight woman yaoi”, the NES cover art/X68000 as “gay man yaoi”, Simon’s Quest as “lesbian yaoi”, and Captain N thrown into “straight man yaoi” lmaooo.

Do you have any thoughts on Claude’s route in 3hopes? Your analysis of Dimitri’s run was so awesome and I share similar criticisms. I’m personally not a fan of Claude’s characterization in 3hopes, and I’m a diehard Claude fan lol, so I’d love to hear your thoughts (positive or negative! your rant was just really well written and interesting!) have a good day/night :-)

My thoughts on Claude? Sure.

Well I have to be honest and start with the fact that I still haven't finished his route lol rip but I've been spoiled enough to know that this is the route where most of the characters/deers seem a little to too much OOC (for what I have read. Tbh I can't be sure about ALL DEERS but Claude is mostly the point here). And I am a defender of "characters in Hopes are still substantially the same as the one presented in Houses" argument, just different circumstances bring different outcomes. But also seems like the writers in charge of giving nuance to the characters don't know how to do it properly without taking some neurons and mental capabilities away from said characters, aka: make them look dumb.

GW and SB are the routes where I am hesitant to look for arguments that can backup such outcome or it's just a matter of "the devs forgot about that part in the original game" issue, as it's planted in some interview that I don't have the source at hand, sadly.

But I am quite convinced of one thing. Hopes is presenting us the opposite resolution of Houses with a subtlety masked by sweet fanservice (just a certain percent of fans, I must say). What I mean by that is, Cloud in Houses is the one discovering the truth behind the mystery of Fodlan and kills Nemesis for some reason at the end of his route. And in Hopes, he is the most notable affected by this change by not discovering much about Agarthans and also kills Serios instead of Nemesis at the end of his route.

In Azure Gleam Dimitri gets his revenge and that does nothing for his personal journey. Actually, it's the opposite because he learned in houses that revenge will get him nothing but more collateral damage.

In Scarlet Blaze well… I am not entirely sure tbh.

Back to Claude. I think the main problem with his characterization is that it was not quite clear what type of person he is. I remember doing his route with the idea that he was the most relaxed, "meme" fun lord, and all positive of the three because the fandom painted him as such, and I feel utterly confused and betrayed because that wasn't what I perceived of him in his route. He has a little arc about open up and trusting others, while getting rid of his own prejudices about the lands he isn't well versed. But that's in houses. In Hopes, that part of his character is taken away because once again: No Byleth.

Let me remark that I haven't played his full route yet, so take what I say with a grain of salt. So tl;dr, we can say that his characterization in Hopes is bad because it was meant to be bad. You can see it as a mirror universe without the person who functions as guidance. And once again that brings us to another conflict when we recruit Byleth, but that's another issue to tackle on its own separately because it has tints of "devs fcked up and ran out of time/resources to properly do anything with it or give coherent resolution" issues. --- Edited because I accidentally type Azure Moon instead of Gleam lol But anyway, Claude fans, let me know your personal interpretation of Claude ~

first fic: the oldest timestamped fic on my ao3 is Golden Boys, a quick little pk subban/john tavares fic from 2012. i want to say it's short and sweet but i honestly haven't read it in ten years, so who knows 😂 there are some bandom fics and a tsn rpf fic on there that are older than that one but i imported them from livejournal in like 2015 and didn't backdate them properly, and i don't feel like figuring out which one is actually the oldest, and also don't want to draw attention to them because woof, that is some old old writing of mine.

last fic: this is for keeps, the one-year anniversary timestamp for head above water ❤ i had actually wanted this to be longer/a richer story but i've been struggling a lot with writing this year and so i just ran out of time and decided short and sweet was better than nothing. i am happy with it, though; i think it hit the most important beats i wanted to hit!

any fic written for a fandom/ship only once: homeland, the mighty ducks adam/charlie fic i wrote for yuletide a couple years ago. i feel like i answered an ask about this one recently so sorry to reiterate but if this hadn't been on a deadline it would have been five times as long and five times as angsty, lol. but also if it hadn't been for yuletide i probably wouldn't have written it at all, so it's all a wash i suppose. despite the deadline of it all though i enjoyed writing this one and think there are some really lovely bits of writing in it.

favorite fic in the fandom with the most works: this is one direction, which i wrote exactly one fic for, so i guess it's my favorite by default: the very best of, which i wrote in the complete haze of peak pandemic quarantine and now feels like a total fever dream. but it was fun! i love the bits of fake journalism and fake songwriting i did for it.

a fic you wish more people had read: come and make the hymns of you, which i can't really complain about fewer people reading because it is a fic for a relatively small fandom written twenty years after the thing came out and about a decade after that fandom's fic-writing peak. i'm really proud of it, though! i think it's one of the best things i've written! it was really fun getting to write in a style that i don't usually get to use for present-day rpf stories, and i love the character voice i developed for webster.

the fic you agonized over the most: i agonized a LOT over HAW, but i think that the land between our bodies still wins here. writing that fic was truly like pulling teeth. like i am very glad i finished it for the exchange and also i'm very glad people enjoyed it — tbh people enjoying it is the only reason i have any fondness for it 😅 — but from a personal standpoint i don't know if i'll ever get over how shitty i felt while writing it to properly enjoy it for myself. but maybe i will! i certainly hope so!

fic that sprang fully formed from my mind: The Next Next One, for sure. what a fun and fulfilling writing process that was. i mean, it's a long fic, so there were definitely parts that were a little tougher to get through than others, but overall it was such a smooth creative process. all of the plot pieces just fell into place. huge shoutout to @postoperation and @moregraceful for being my very encouraging captive audience as i word-vomited it into emails until i got the whole story out ❤

a work you are proud of: okay okay yes fine it's head above water ❤❤ i was actually super unsure about it when i posted it, but after taking some time to let it breathe (and to talk with so many of you all about it) i did end up really proud of it, and i've had such a good time continuing to play in that universe 💞

man, knifetrick was fantastic. I am still a huge Tasmin fan, best tailor. we should all reread kt and meme again. remember the memes? the bits about everything Ran does being gay 'why do you need both arms? to hold men?' and such? by talos this cant be happening, everywhere.

i think one of my favorite moments was probably the balcony, it caused a lot of emotions. like, that whole night was great and the tension had me screaming, and then finishing the chapter was both the worst thing ever (in an emotional damage way) and the best. get bonked idiot.

if you feel like it, what was a favorite side character or moment of yours? or just other character things?

I still adore your kt fics also. :] i'm petty sure i sent an ask about loving Artificial Loneliness ages ago and that still stands, such a good AU fic, so so interesting.

balcony scene is srsly iconic i don’t think anything can beat that tbhh but! I’m a big fan of the poison reveal too (“too harmful to use on Jackie” that slayed) andd there’s a scene I really love bc of how @/metfell drew it - very cinematic ! it’s the one where ran is about to shoot jackie in the back of the head or smthing but someone shows up

^ I mean the whole thing slays tbh but again.. my memory</3 plus I can’t just write out the whole book lol

and wrt my fics: TYSM!!!! this is so kind I’m so glad you liked them :]!!! I’m sure my writing style has changed a bit since then but every now and then I reread them myself and I’m still proud of them ^_^ Artificial Loneliness is kinda the first (and only I think?) i fucking LOVE these kids holy shit. I've been avoiding spoilers for the most part so i went into the rest of this season blind and I really appreciate the fact that Jawbreaker is still figuring himself out. It feels like the new terrans speed-ran their character arcs (understandable given the earlier focus on Twitch, Thrash, Robby, and Mo) but Jawbreaker being given time to develop and sort of fixate on searching for a perfect alt mode is endearing. His contrast to Hashtag being an impulsive ipad kid is *chefs kiss*. so fucking funny. her first week being alive has been spent watching tv dramas and internet memes and her alt mode being a constantly internet connected armored van is just perfect. and the little ponytail <3<3<3 I like seeing her learn to connect with the others in a meaningful way that doesn't talk down to ipad kids (which, tbh, is too easy and too... mean spirited? for this show. im so glad they treated her with respect and whimsy)

ALSOOOOO hi nightshade hi hi hiiiii your alt mode is so goth im LIVING. love this kid with their crazy science projects and fantasy literature. THE BATMAN REFERENCES IN THE FINALE AKDJFLKASDF also their self assuredness and autistic swag making them a little unable to find common ground with their siblings is heart meltingly sweet. Its really nice to see their parents understanding that and helping them along with it too ;A; TARANTULAS ACTING AS A SORT OF MENTOR OUUUUGH don't @ me but this might actually push me to watch beast wars. i need more of this goth bitch in my life. I really want them to show up in future episodes but as is I'm really happy they got to go free of ghost. best of luck with the holomatter bro

i have minor beef with the way they're focusing on the war backstory but Thrash's "why are you leaving the new generation to clean up your mess" speech was good, if not entirely satisfactory. old grandma megatron can't rebuild the transformers' relationship to humanity on his own and the terrans really are a perfect bridge, i feel. I'm just glad they're given time to be more than that first. (speaking of that episode, r.i.p. shockwave, #1 asshole).

aside from the thing with dr octagonopus meridian though, i really did like the new episodes even if they did feature less of the old cast than i'd prefer. Watching Twitch interact with the new terrans and taking on the older sister role and sort of controlling some of her worst impulsivity is really cool to watch, and her taking on too much of the burden of responsibility in reaction to Bumblebee leaving genuinely has me worrying for her. Kudos to the writing team for such a subtle character shift. please give her a break before this girl develops eldest daughter syndrome im begging you

The fic I wrote of my au, had Garrett be in the placement of Micheala(the whole "plum hair" I gave him, etc etc. visiting the kingdom of the Aftons) & Banica(Gluttony side/the main part for Garrett). And in Evillious Chronicles lore, Allen (I bet) got that "love at first sight" stuff.

The base for Cassidy in Yard Fire is Allen/Nemesis (Vanessa is small half of Rillian & very much more Nemesis).

So, yeah. Ik bit weird. But ages are 👍 (Cassidy is like round 15 or smth. Same with Garrett. Evillious Chronicles has Rillian be QUEEN at 14. So like. Yeah).

Tbh I kinda make memes inside of my head about this yk? "Cassidy's crush was his rebellious stage too"(e.i: going back to the fact that Garreth (his name in the au), basically disabled William?? He ate his hand,, just the fingers but yk. <- where his whole Banica era started👍💥). Cassidy was there for the meeting between William & Garreth, and just.

For most of his years, he's believed that his father can do no harm and nothing bad. Tho, yes he was suspicious about him. But he never asked, and never thought about it again. He's always forgotten (middle child along with CC). So he doesn't think his questions are important.

If he is ever remembered by his father, he's more like a servant then a son. Which he got used to. So seeing his father being accused and then fucking BITTEN, by like. Another boy his age, HIS AGE.

Garreth about to rule his family kingdom, but his wish that he wanted to fulfill was to destroy evil by all means(and I mean that: he is like. In his Banica era- so. Yeag 👍💥).

It's not rlly like..a love at first sight or a crush now that I'm thinking of it. It's more like. Admiration, and wanting to be like Garreth yk?

He does also like. Plan the execution when William gets well (Cassidy is mad about it. Hoped his father got sick. Never Happened. He Angy). But it doesn't really happen as intended??? Garreth gets lured into the kingdom again, and just gets. Slaughtered/stabbed like Ceaser.

And then when Mike gets word of it, it's already days later of the "execution" (William still calls that an execution) of his brother (-figure. Just thought I'd say, that in Yard Fire; Mike & Garrett are related but very much see each other as siblings.. Abby was 1 when this was happening). And Vanessa already ran away, with Cassidy also running away(he ran away the moment he just did what he did. Vanessa was already planning to leave and decided to do it at the same time Garreth died so that was suspicious to Mike).

One post I did say, was on how when Mike first meets Vanessa he tries to kill her..but yk. She lives another day; cuz Mike saw himself in her. A lonely girl, with no one else (or so they thought. Cassidy is trying to find Vanessa. But like. Kinda short story; he gets mistaken for a bear (by a delusional person) when he was so close to reaching the Schmidts & Simmons (Vanessa)'s house. But. Yeah- bro gets mistaken for a bear and then just fucking. Killed)

Ough sorry for talking about this au outta the blue- and having it be. Like. So long I just. 👍 Yard Fire <3 (if you haven't seen the drawings I can tag you in it! It's also basically the 'masterpost' of Yard Fire!)

In hindsight, Wei Wuxian perhaps should have taken “everyday is everyday” as a metaphorical statement of Lan Zhan’s devotion and love and incredible sexiness, rather than as a challenge. And definitely he should have cottoned on by the third half-hearted hai hour handjob. But how can he look at his husband, the sexiest man he has ever seen, and say “you know what, sweetheart, darling, love of my life. I think we should fuck less.” Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji talk about… sex.

awww it's the second superbat i ever wrote! i have a soft spot for this one bc i became fully possessed while writing it. i wrote 3k words On Christmas Day. (i do NOT know when i found time to do this bc we were busy with family most of the day. maybe that night?)

this one doesn't have a summary but it's a 15 days of Friends at the Table drabble collection except i only wrote one drabble. so it's 300 words of hella and adelaide dancing.

bc talk about all the good things dominated so much i ran the numbers with just dcu fics for fun:
