Either that or not blink at all/hardly blink, most fish don't have eyelids, and even though he and the other mers do it's not like they would need to underwater. Tbh Seb and Mal would prob do that weird blink.

Anyway, since He and Floyd are the same kind of creature, stuff from Floyd's post will be repeated.

He still has his ear and arm fins even with the potion. He can make his ear fins wiggle and droop and they will sometimes do it unconsciously, perhaps because of how he’s feeling or if he’s eating or sucking on something. Unlike Floyd, Jade will do his best to control it since that shows his emotions and he doesn't want others to be able to read him, though that's not to say he won’t do it on purpose like when he fake cries. The whole “being able to produce tears” thing wasn't something he could do until he got on land. Fish don't have or need tear ducts. Still, if it's just the two of you he might give a fin wiggle to hear you giggle, he be silly like that sometimes,

He can make the arm fins flare out and go down so he can get shirts on easier, and they will flare out when trying to be threatening.

Still keeps some of his eel coloring and stripes along with his claws. His hands start with that not-quite-white he has and become more of that green-blue going up.

His fingers have little bits of webbing and...are kind of creepily long.

Doesn’t blink as often as a human should and his eyes glow in the dark, along with his habit of staring it can be a bit startling.

Like his brother, is very instant on getting you in the water with him for some reason. If you can't swim, he'll offer to let you ride him. Though he is capable of outspending a broom you don't worry about him trying to zoom like Floyd, that doesn't mean he won't try to scare you in the water though. He may be more polite than his brother but he's still a little shit.

Has no belly button or nips.

Has a very strong interest in your feet and legs, especially with how…soft they are. In the official manga, we get to see that Floyd isn't the only touchy eel, though he isn't…rough about it like Floyd. Well, not as long as it's you. He loves to poke, squeeze, and rub them. Very very badly wants to bite but…he’s a gentleman. At least until you guys are together, and he has permission, expect to look like you got nabbed by a small shark then after.

He can't help but be fascinated by how different your body is, he really does want to study you, though funnily enough he gets a bit of stage fright if you try doing the same.

Is a fan of those small clawless hands. Seeing how they prune up when wet for too long, holding them and enjoying that soft warmth. He’s bigger than plenty of people but gets a special kick out of how big you make him feel.

His skin feels different from what humans have but isn't quite the same as when in his eel form. It's soft but also…thick. There’s no way you would be able to break his skin with your bite or scratches, dull little human nails and teeth can't do much. He would be pretty amused at you actually trying to bite him, how cute. It makes him want to tease you more and make you make you angry enough to try more. Still, if you do somehow manage to break skin he’s prepared, can’t have his little shrimp die of poisoning.

Along with eating fish, crabs, and octopus's moray also eat very toxic creatures and as a result, the blood and flesh of a moray are very toxic. They accumulate high levels of ciguatoxins, which can give humans ciguatera fish poisoning (CFP) if eaten. There will be times in a fight where he’ll get his blood on the guy on purpose and Jade has used his blood for…things before. Part of why Jade wants to test “special” mushrooms on others is because the poison won't affect him, and he wants to see how it affects others. Might poison you in small doses on purpose so you'll build up a tolerance.

A moray will often eat anything small enough to fit in its mouth and is capable of taking a chunk out of bigger fish. As a result, Floyd will also try to eat…not food things if he can fit it in his mouth. Luckily for you, Jade has more self-control than his brother so your small nicknacks are safe...for now.

Everything about you just triggers his prey drive. He really wants to bite you, chase you, squish you, put eggs in you, bite you some more. Really hates having to keep up his calm gentlemanly image at times.

Can open his mouth scarily wide and his teeth are longer than OG Jade's, so it's a bit harder for him to hide them like he would with those polite smiles he always has. Very long tongue, you've seen it when he totally wasn't trying to show it off to you. He was just enjoying that ice cream. Funny how you're the only one to get a good look at it though.

Has pharyngeal jaws which are a second set of smaller jaws located in the throat of the moray eel, behind the normal jaws in the mouth, complete with tiny teeth. This set of jaws gets launched into the mouth cavity during feeding, where it can grasp onto food, and pull it into the throat to swallow. Morays are unique in using their pharyngeal jaws to actively capture and restrain prey in this way.

Certain eels have been shown to be surprisingly affectionate with divers they recognize and enjoy petting, rubbing, and gentle hugs. Though a bit touchy, when in public he is nowhere near as touchy as Floyd. When alone? Just as bad if he knows you are comfortable with it.

His gills are still present so his rib area is a weak spot. Getting hit there would really hurt and really piss him off.

Is nocturnal and prefers dark places, especially when sleeping. He also likes being snug and wrapped up for sleepies. In the sea, he would like to sleep in small places with his brother and would love for you and him to share a sleeping bag when camping.

Moray have a spongy, sluggy texture from their lack of scales. To top it off, these fish are covered in a thick mucous layer. Believe it or not, mucous serves a very strong purpose in nature, typically providing a protective barrier over otherwise vulnerable layers of skin. Your stomach should have a thick mucous layer to protect it from the acids inside, and similarly, a fish without scales can make good use of this snotty, slimy substance to keep it safe from toxins and physical damage as it occupies its rocky habitat.

The green moray eel is actually brown under all the snot; it’s just covered in a thick green layer of mucous. In some species, this mucous is even toxic, making them a particularly nasty prey item. Luckily what Floyd and Jade have isn't the toxic kind and will make your skin pretty nice. Jade will use this in his favor to get more cuddles. Careful though, he may do what Floyd does and perform what is known as a slime attack by slapping someone in the face with his tail, it is very unpleasant to get in your mouth.

The smallest moray, the Snyder’s moray, is around 12cm (4.5in) long, and the largest is more than 3m (over 10ft) long and weighs up to 30kg. A huge moray eel in Indonesia has been witnessed feeding on sharks and I like to headcanon the tweels are pretty big in their mer form and not just because of tail length.

Morays actually have pretty bad eyesight and a keen sense of smell to make up for this and rely primarily on chemoreception such as smells and tastes to navigate their world. I do wonder if the twins need glasses but don't use them or maybe wear contacts.

Jade is very good at tracking you down by scent and likes it when you smell like him and him smelling like you. Though he loves cuddling and hugging you, it isn't just for affection. He’s giving you that eel stank, plenty of the others are weary around him and you smelling like him can help keep others away.

Unlike with Floyd Him leaving clothes at your place is never out of forgetfulness. He plans everything out. Insistes that you put on his coat when it’s cold out and drapes it on you before you can say no. Hoodies aren't usually his thing, but his ass bought some just for “forgetting” them at your place. They're actually some fancy name-brand ones. Still, even with his planning, he could not prepare himself with how good you looked in them…it was so big on you, and you looked so cute and now it smelled like you and….

The moray can form a true knot with its body, that it uses as leverage to pull on prey items like slippery fish. They can also use this method to create strong pressure to break food items into smaller pieces. It’s thought that the skill is passed on between individuals. So, if you want to escape eel cuddles…good luck but it's probably not going to happen. Even in his more human form his long arms and legs will be wrapped around you. Kinda funny thinking of the tweel's parents teaching them how to become living knots though.

Certain types of eels can change their sex. The leaf-nosed moray born male, transitions as they age, switching to female later in life. This transformation determines them as “sequential hermaphrodites” I like to headcanon that the tweens can also change sex or already have both in their mer form.

Morays can have around 10,000 eggs at a time, and when the larvae are hatched, the eels are fully translucent. I like to think the boys started out as tiny little things you can hold in your hand.

Regular eels do seem to have some courtship rituals. Some of which being displays of behavior, such as graceful movements and vibrant color changes and I already like that headcanon of the tweels being bioluminescent. Maybe he convinced you to come down to his dorm's special pool one night and decided to show off for you. Showing off that beautiful glow while doing these cool tricks in the water. A positive reaction will likely be taken as acceptance, so unless you tell him no, you will receive some wet slimy eel-loving.

Male eels may compete with each other for the attention of females showcasing strength and health to impress a potential mate. Welp, time for Jade to invite you to a hike and show off, expect to be carried after he makes up after walking into an area, something about the grounds stability and how only a seasoned hiker like him knows the proper steps to safety. Dude will lift up a whole ass dead tree trunk stuck in your path. Will also be even more of a menace towards the other guys.

Eels also release pheromones into the water to attract and communicate with potential partners but...hmm you're just a human and on land. With the others being beasts and all, they would be able to smell it easily and know to stay the hell away from him but would his little shrimpy notice? I think at most that if it's something that you can smell it probably just seems like Jade has just smelled a bit…musky lately. He is probably around you even more and keeps close to see your reaction to it. He probably gets sad if you tell him he stinky and takes it as you not wanting him. If you compliment it? Very happy eel time.

As for the rest of what he does, it's little things like bringing you food which is often cooked by him, little trinkets that made him think of you, and getting territorial around others. The latter usually ends up with him not bothering to hide his teeth as he “smiles” at whoever is talking to you, likely having his hand on your shoulder or waist while doing so.

We know Papyrus, and all of us would absolutely give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was innocent. But Seam and Jevil don't know the Papyrus we know.

All Seam sees is an absolute mountain of bodies and an state of utter decay all around him.. with suspiciously the last man standing being a very clearly mentally unstable skeleton.. would you assume he was innocent?

Add onto that all the stress Seam was under, how unstable he was as well. Seam couldn't see the situation any other way and he was not taking any chances.

As for my AUs, its not too hard for me to remember all of them. I never have more than 5-6 per fandom. I can usually list them off by memory! :0

Tbh the animatronics would probably just register that as a mess/hazard and would notify an employee about the issue. In which the employee would dispatch a mop bot to go clean it up. I imagine it unfortunately happens often enough that the bots aren't really fazed. Kids amirite-

You and Doyoung always wanted a child, it was both of your dreams as a couple and it became true. He has been working nonstop to provide a comfortable lifestyle for the family, and when you became pregnant it was as if all his hard work were paid off. But even though you guys achieved it, he hadn't had that much time to spend time together with her 2-year-old daughter, Aeyoung.

Sunday, a day were a family can relax and have fun together. Your 6 year old daughter doesn’t spend a lot of time with her dad like they used to, instead it has became kinda awkward when those two were alone so you decided to resolve that. First thing you did when you woke up was kiss doyoung on his cheek, you were used to it since dating so why not.

He was still asleep and you went to check on your daughter, “honey, wake up the sun already rose” You could see her trying to wake up because she was the well mannered and responsible type of kid. You petted her messy dark hair that reminded you of doyoung’s one, in fact, she resembles Doyoung a lot, her personality, her eyes and her hair. Although the face would be a mix of you two.

“Mommy, can I help you do breakfast today?” You nodded but before she could move you said “What about helping me prepare things for a picnic?” Her face lighted up you could see her excitement in her eyes. “Really??” she says out of excitement. As you two were going to the kitchen doyoung woke up. ''Good morning princess'' He went and hugged your daughter, but she just accepted the hug and suddenly became shy, ''Honey go to the kitchen first okay?'' You said to let you talk alone with Doyoung for a moment.

''Baby, don't you think she feels shy around you'' You said with a sweet voice but low so she couldn't hear the conversation, ''yea I thought I was the only one who noticed, Why would she feel like that? I am a bad father?'' He said those words feeling heartbroken, just the thought that his own daughter doesn't feel comfortable around his father was sad. You knew Doyoung works a lot and doesn't spend that much time around but it ain't his fault either, ''Doyoung, let's go out together today, and if your relationship improves, you know we gotta keep going'' He agreed so you both started by going to the kitchen to prepare breakfast with Aeyoung.

''Mommy, is daddy going too?'' You nodded but already expected that question, ''Let's start by preparing sandwiches'' Your hand made a gesture for Doyoung to come where you were, ''But first wash your hands'' As soon as Doyoung understood what were you trying to do he carried Aeyong towards the sink and helped her wash her hands, and before Doyoung left her down he said ''What do you have to say to daddy?'' Aeyoung smiled ''Thank you Daddy'' she said while giggling. You were relieved for a bit knowing that Aeyoung still values Doyoung as her father.

''What do you want in your sandwich princess?'' Doyoung asked Aeyoung, ''Ummm, I don't know, can you choose it for me daddy?'' Doyoung asked if she was sure and she nodded with a warm smile that was a mix of us. ''We finally finished our sandwiches'', yours was a classic chicken lettuce and tomato, Doyoung's one was imitation crab meat, boiled egg with mayo, and your daughter's one was a strawberry with cream sandwich because she liked sweet things like any other kid her age so your husband guessed right. She liked it a lot and since Doyoung knows how to cook very well it was even more delicious.

But there were still a lot of strawberries left and you had to use it all before it gets spoiled, luckily you all liked strawberries so it was easier to enjoy all that. The easiest idea was probably a strawberry smoothie, it was only mixing it in a blender with a few other bunch ingredients, ''Do you like strawberry smoothies honey?'' Aeyoung said out of excitement yes, she loved those. ''Are you sure we can eat all those strawberries today?'' Doyoung asked out of curiosity while blending the smoothie, ''I'm not that sure actually, but I'll think of a plan anyway'' The food waste here in Korea is no joke so you didn't want any problem with it. Finally done with the food you all changed clothes and ate breakfast with some leftovers, you started putting the food in the picnic bag, ''Baby, do you want to carry the bag or hold hands with Aeyoung'' You laughed knowing it was a trick question, of course, he wouldn't want you to carry the heavy bag but the plan of improving the relationship with Aeyoung was still on the action.

You saw Doyoung's doubtful face, ''Is a joke, I'll carry the bag don't worry'' and gave him a peck on his lips after he laughed back and complained knowing is also a joke like he always used to do since the day you meet him. You went to check on your daughter, ''Honey, let's go'' But before you could leave she hold your big hand compared to hers. ''Why daddy wasn't with us other days but today he did'' She asked half angrily but confused at the same time. ''Honey, the reason daddy isn't with us all the time isn't our fault nor yours. But when he's with us we have to enjoy it a lot, okay?'' You gave her a kiss on her forehead. Based on her facial expression it was as if she understood, Aeyoung was always a smart and understanding kid even if she was only 6 years old. ''Okay mommy, I'll try to give dad a fun time today'' She said and ran to Doyoung who was in the kitchen.

Doyoung was surprised at this but still kneeled and hugged her back. ''What happened honey'' ''Nothing is just that I missed you'' And Doyoung looked at you smiling which he answered with a flying kiss which you found cringe but laughed anways and made you flustered. ''Ready to go?'' Doyoung asked all of us and we nodded. After walking for about 20 minutes we arrived, the weather was excellent and there weren't too many people, ''perfect'' You said with a relieved feeling.

You and your husband prepared the blanket for you all to sit down and when it was done Aeyoung started taking out all the food. Sandwiches, strawberries, smoothies, and a strawberry shortcake you made beforehand, ''woaah, so many pink things, I like it'' Aeyoung giggled. ''Aeyoung, let's eat later and first play something okay?'' She nodded. You took out the guess-who game, but since it was for two people, Doyoung and Aeyoung teamed up.

You guys played 4 rounds, 3 rounds were Aeyoung and his father and in the other one, she teamed up with you, though she won all the rounds no matter who she was teamed up with. After playing some other games it was finally time to eat, and Aeyoung was very excited to do so. It wasn't her first time going out for a picnic but every time you guys went she acted like it was her very first time, she never gets tired of it.

You ate first the sandwiches you made on our own, but close after everyone finished eating them, you guys were kinda full but still had a lot of leftovers. While your husband and daughter were playing you were thinking about what you should do with it, then your brain sparkled. You could give it away to people. You told Doyoung and he agreed ''But, you and Aeyoung not me'' You winked at him which he answered by kissing you and it suprised you.

''Aeyoung, Do you want to give these leftovers to people?'' Doyoung said to his daughter ''Whyyy?'' Doyoung pressed his lips not knowing what to say and looked at you asking for help but you looked away ''So, we have to be good people and since we are full is good to offer it to others'' Aeyoung kinda understood it and kept nodding her head adn agreed.

They both held hands and Doyoung carried the leftovers, he wasn't an introvert but neither he was the most extrovert so he became a little bit shy at first. They found a young couple ''Excuse me, we have some strawberries would you like some?'' Doyoung said shyly but then Aeyoung repeated with enthusiasm ''Yes, would you like some'' The couple reacted happily and accepted it, ''Is she your daughter, she's so cute'' Doyoung blushed more than Aeyoung should but it made him happy anyways.

They kept doing this until there weren't strawberries left. They have successfully done it and made a high five when they returned, you were sleeping so your daughter woke you up. ''Mommy we don't have more strawberries'' she cheered while trying to wake you. After you woke up Aeyoung told you everything and then decided to wrap it up and go home. ''Did you like this picnic Aeyoung?'' Doyoung asked, She said yes feeling very happy more than she usually is and she even asked him to lift him up. Doyoung of course did it. And then headed home. Your mission was completed.

I adore her little finger chin touch that she does in every game

Every iteration of her is actually a different person and they're all a big family of sisters

^this also has the implication that Anna has interdimensional travel powers (and also time travel)(this is also hinted at in engages epilogue)

I believe there's two eras of Anna, pre and post-awakening. With pre-awakening being more down to earth and existing a lot more as the menu and secret shop person, with post-awakening being more high energy, and I don't want to say one-note, but more, let's say focused on a specific gimmick, which in Annas case is being a cuttthroat buisnesswoman, and this often comes along as borderline psychopathic (/pos imo), but I don't think this was the intention. I love both versions

Post-awakening she's actually a playable character in almost all the games, including Awakening (Very fun to use, trickster class which is staves and Swords, she does especially well with Levin sword and that's always fun), Fates (haven't used her, dlc), Three Houses (kinda sucks and has no supports, also dlc and one of the other dlc characters is just better in everyway gameplay wise) and Engage (also very fun to use, uses axes at base and bows on promotion which is very nice, she also has great magic and can be very good as a mage)

Sells you drugs

So Anna huh, the most reocurring fe character by far, and I love reocurring characters. She's a shrewd buisnesswoman and always have been, but she's a pretty chill gal pre-awakening and just hangs around and gives you tips. And sells you drugs, don't forget about that. Then in awakening she returns once again, but now with a more, high-energy personality. The reason I called her borderline psychopathic is that she here begins to make a lot of quips and jokes about killing people in ways that are some kind of money puns in a very lighthearted tone, "prices aren't the only things i slash" for exampel. I personally find this kind of endearing (this holds up with my other blorbo Henry also from awakening). Then in engage she shows up as a child who has been lost from her family (her anna sisters) Here in engage she has a wonderful childlike feel when doing all her merchant things, while still having that dash of psychosis. And I find this very endearing as well.

She also has a boyfriend who is also reocurring, just not as much has her. Meet Jake! His personality and looks vary a bit.

Then there was the final dlc to awakening, bringing one final challenge to all who played the game. Apotheosis, featuring the final final boss...

Anna the merchant

This is an insane boss, probably the single strongest boss in all of fire emblem, with insane stats like 99 hp, 60 str, 50 mag, 70 skl, 70 spd, 65 lck, 55 def and 55 res. So insanely much.

But that's not even the worst part, her skills are. Counter dealing all physical damage back, Vantage+ to always attack first, Aether which is usually only a main character skill, dragonskin (????????) which halfs all damage dealt and RIGHTFUL GOD

rightful god gives 30% extra proc chance to all proc skills

BUT EVEN THE FACT THAT SHE HAS A SKILL CALLED RIGHTFUL GOD IS SCARY ENOUGH AND HAS SOME WEIRD IMPLICATIONS

i'm ecstatic you like it!!!!! tbh BON-BON is growing on me so algae-like that i need to elevate other characters so he doesn't overtake them😅 i'm sure some ppl know how it is when a supporting character kinda starts to overshadow the mains accidentally. but instead of cutting him down, the others will rise instead. also you're right, BON-BON has confidence but he's not as well-versed in relationships and social knowledge as he presents himself. he's naive, a little. and he has a mental hierarchy of AI at the bottom, living beings at the top that's being challenged by how carelessly Y/N is being treated.

i ADORE writing Moon! so when he was throwing the fish at Y/N, he was mimicking their tactic of using food to lure him forward. kinda like how they were doing with the crabs in that moment. he wanted to form some kind of trust using food and make them come closer. at that point he had yet to see them without their mask, so to his knowledge other communication methods like speech weren't available.

heeheehoo i wanted him to look very dazzling during the hypnotism scene🥰😳 and i noticed with half of his face covered with the esca he looks more human?? which would help with luring humans bc it kinda obscures the uncanny valley aspect of his usual face shape. i love drawing all of them!

Yes, Lue wears his gloves in the novel, but they don't come up very often (so far). There's this bit when Ken and Lue meet in Korea (in the novel, Phayu wants to investigate the cosmetic surgery angle and he takes everyone Ken with him so he'll feel better after Din's funeral):

“Even when eating seafood you have to wear gloves? Take them off, the fishy smell will stick to the leather. You won't be able to remove it." The young man hesitated for a long time before he slowly took off his gloves. His skin showed criss-crossing lines of scar tissue. Although not disfiguring, it could be seen with the naked eye. All Ken could think about was how serious an accident it must have been, and how severely Lue must have been injured. He watched as Lue's fingers bent to start peeling the crab, prompting him to reach out to stop him. “Let me help. Thank you for bringing me here to eat. Besides, did you forget I'm a chef? I'm really good at this kind of thing." Ken placed a leaf of lettuce in his hand and coated one side in gochujang sauce. He added a little bit of kimchi, followed by the crab meat that he had just peeled, then he rolled it up and extended it towards Lue's mouth. “Try it,” he said, causing Lue to slowly open his mouth to eat what was in the other person's hand. He tried holding back his tears. He wasn't Din anymore. He was Cheng Talu now. He had to be patient and hold himself back at all times. The more Ken acted like this, the more he wanted to tell him about who he was.

But tbh I never really found it weird that no one mentioned Lue's gloves, especially not to his face. He's not exactly close to anyone and the gloves stand out so much that it's immediately clear they're not just a fashion statement. Asking him about it could be considered impolite and insensitive - especially in Thailand where saving face is incredibly important.

Plus, I think they go out of their way in the series to show everyone's reaction to the gloves. Judging from their expressions (and negl I found those kind of rude too lmao), everyone thinks it's weird and out of place. They just choose to leave it uncommented.

Hello There!! :) Sorry to bother you but I just wanted to let you know that some leaks for future episodes of Helluva Boss, for EP 6 And 12 were just leaked on 4Chan and I wanted to know your thoughts if you saw them. I've seen them myself..and I've gotta say, this just made me more annoyed and made me just wanna avoid the show even more, it's so damn predictable and it's just more proof that the show refuses to put Stolas in the wrong and call him out on what he's done and make us feel bad for him, and he's just nothing but this "UWU baby. 😒🤦‍♀️ It's just so frustrating, I REALLY don't see this show getting any better and seeing these animatics for the future episodes of the season just proves my point.

Heck, sometimes I'm even wondering why HB needed to be made, yes it was obviously made to keep fans invested and entertained until Hazbin's arrival but this spinoff has just been a mess and all over the place, and relys on shipping to get the fans entertained + I feel like a spinoff should be able to stand on it's own without connecting to the show it's based on, ya know? It also just feels Viv isn't as passionate about HB as she is with HH, like HB the more I think about it, just feels like nothing but a cash grab and just there to keep fans invested, and it'd working since the fans will eat up anything from Viv. I'm not saying Viv and her team aren't passionate and hard work is shown with the Animation + Voice Acting, but everything else, especially the writing..isn't very good. Idk man, I just feel like HB is just a cash crab and such, at least with HH it has so much potential and something going for it and seems like a story Viv actually WANTS To tell and explore, which I hope it delivers. 🤞💙 But with HB, it's just all over the place and it went from a comedy show about assassin Imps to a romantic yaoi fanfic show, it's facts. I thought this show was called, "Helluva Boss" not "The Stolitz Show"/"The Stolas Show" This show just feels like a fanfiction and all it's emotional scenes feel emotionally manipulative too and just not earned, they're just there to make you feel for the characters. For example, remember how in EP 6 (Truth Seekers) It seems Blitz was gonna change for the better and try treating Moxxie better and stop being an asshole? Well, the next episode just completely throws Blitz "Depth" right out of the window and he goes back to his same ways and WE are apparently supposed to feel back for him, especially at the end of that episode..but I don't, because he did that to himself.

And while yes, it takes time for a character to grow and change, they still try putting effort in the process when it comes to redeeming and trying to better themselves and you slowly see them grow as time goes on, even if they slip up at times and it isn't easy. But with Blitz, it's like Viv and the writers completely forgot about the last episode, and his and Moxxie's so called "heart to heart" moment and just had him to continue being the same unlikeable, loud, annoying, creepy Boss that he's always been since the Pilot, and had him stalk his employees (ON THEIR ANNIVERSARY, BTW) just because it's funny.

(Let's not forget that HB pretty much spoiled HH and it's premise when it comes to Charlie's goal to redeem demons and help them get to Heaven. But it just seems pointless and just reckons HH, since Heaven is revealed to be just as bad Hell and it just makes Charlie's goal useless, tbh. Though, I like to pretend the C.H.E.R.B. EP doesn't exist, Lol.)

(I've mentioned beforehand that I really do use to enjoy and like the show a lot and was a fan, but things started to take a turn sometime after EP 3, where it went downhill for me and I saw a drop in quality. I rewatched the show and saw in-depth posts on here and just realized how bad some things are in the show and just how flawed it really was. I mean, when being a fan, I didn't really pay attention and just saw on flawed it was, plus I also stopped watching and left because of it's toxic and horrible fandom and how they attack and harass you if you say one negative thing on the show or their favorite ships, and say you're homophobic..which is ridiculous and just so sad, especially when some of these fans are adults, almost close to their 30's and yet act like children when not everyone blindly praises the show like they (and the majority of the fandom) do.)

Honestly, Stolas existing as a character hardcore irks me at this point. Not gonna lie, lol! Just knowing this show is going to try its hardest to have us pity him or Blitzo, even when they don't even deserve it, frustrates me. For real!

I'm not gonna spill a drip of tea about the leaks, but from what I've seen so far (in some ways, in these specific scenes), let's just say it's similar to the last few episodes that were released. And if you read my rants, you'll know it'll be the same issues I've mentioned about this piece of crumbled mess we call a web show. At this point, I really am done with this show. Like, I'll still watch the show just to make fun of it, but my ratings for it will stay at an all-time LOW!

Yeah, I can pretty much tell from the first season that Viv's effort and determination for HB faltered completely and will probably never click again. It's no secret she's more invested in HH. I mean, it's fine if you wanna put more of your focus on the MAIN show you really wanted to release. It would actually make sense that her interest and effort for her spinoff fell drastically because she started paying more attention to HH (even if it is the main reason why it's terrible). I can tell at this point that she loves Hazbin Hotel a lot more than Helluva Boss (I mean, I do too. But that's not the point) However if you're going to make a spinoff just to keep your fans entertained enough to have patience for the big thing, at least put more effort in the plot and the potential the show could have. And I'm not just talking about the fans that will go ~~uwu gaga~~ or teary-eyed over everything that occurs in this mess as long as it keeps the ship going. I'm talking about the people that actually expect this show to make sense and have some good plot points!!

For real, where the holy hell did the plot go!!?? What is the point of this show?? What lessons are being learned?? If there are any lessons learned, they should've been learned from the very beginning it became something serious instead of the characters going through the same repetitive sh*t only to not learn a damn thing. If I'm missing something, someone's gonna have to let me know! Cuz, my god! This show IS ALL OVER the place with its plot points! How are you gonna expect me to feel bad about any of these characters if they're never gonna learn their lesson? You can't just make a scene where they start to see the error of their ways and make it seem like they're going to try and change for the better only to completely forget about all that they learned (or are supposed to learn) just to act the same as they always been. Like, what was the point of that build-up? Where did all the potential go?? You mean to tell me all that was just some kind of filler episode that supposedly never happened???? NO! That's not how this works! You can't just do that??

It was supposed to be just a comedy. A sitcom about a bunch of assassins getting their job done. Fulfilling requests from every sinner to kill or get revenge on anybody in the living that did them wrong. We only had very few episodes containing that plot, only for it to turn into a drama and into a rom-com added with pointless drama so suddenly since episode 7.

And you raise a good point about the whole heaven thing. Charlie's goal just seems completely pointless since the cherub episode. In heaven, Angels are supposed to be seen as... well, the complete opposite of what the sinners and demons of hell are. We're supposed to see them as good people ( or angels?). The kind of people that do no wrong. Or probably have done some wrong but begged God for forgiveness so they earn their place in heaven (not really sure if it works like that. That's just based on my assumption and just seems to make sense). They could be considered really nice beings who hate committing felonies and only want to be good. But all we saw was a whole freakin' FACADE from the Cherubs!!! They just seemed sweet while only wanting to keep people alive. But later, they literally try to murder and fight these imps!! Cursing and even calling that old man sh*tty! Umm, WHAT?? Angels using bad words.... Is that even allowed?? Charlie wants to redeem every sinner... Okay, but what would be the point if they're just gonna act the same as they did in hell. They would just be keeping a whole facade to make themselves look good!

Yeah, Helluva Boss was enjoyable for a while. A short while actually. It wasn't perfect, but it was still enjoyable to watch. But unfortunately, it failed to be seen as one of the best shows I've seen. The plot is just not there anymore. The characters are terrible and fail at being characters. The jokes aren't even funny no more. They might as well be jokes for kids under 17 who just laugh at every single f bomb being dropped. The fans that do watch and enjoy this show might as well be a bunch of 12-year-olds if they don't even see one flaw it has. I'm sorry. But considering how toxic fans can get, I have every right to say this.

this thought just hit me but it's got me in my chest, its really got me here, but i don't think edward is actually a violent person at all. violence is a tool of the trade and a means to an end and he's absolutely aggressive as a front, but we don't really actually see ed being physically violent when its not for a job until the very end of the season, and i don't think that's a mistake.

ed's primary response to feeling humiliated or threatened is to threaten others, but he doesn't actually attack them. think about the french captain - when that man uses a slur against him, he gets up, he yells, he raises his voice, but the man is on the ground in front of him in a heap, perfectly vulnerable, and ed never once touches him when he's screaming and yelling, even when it might be easy and expected for him to kick him around.

he orders fang to kill the man, and in an exceedingly horrible fashion, absolutely, and its an expression of his anger, but its also about setting an example and reputation. you use racial slurs against blackbeard? you insult blackbeard? you die screaming horribly.

and ed doesn't watch. ed doesn't have it happen in front of him. ed doesn't even seem to enjoy it so much as he's fucking furious and setting an example, but he never gets his own hands dirty with it.

in the same way, when he threatens someone for the loot - its the clearest example of him turning aggression on like a switch, stabbing a knife, threatening violence, but never actually USING violence.

on the party boat, in that horrible moment at the party? his response is to get up and make himself bigger and louder and threaten but again, he doesn't try to hurt anyone. we see that he HAD his weapon, and there were plenty of knives at that table, and blackbeard could absolutely take down a bunch of snobby, snotty, rich punks. but he DOESN'T. he flees, and only thinks about actually engaging in violence when he's too far away to do it. and he lets himself be talked down in seconds.

when we actually see ed commit some physical violence for the first time, its against his abusive father, in what appears to be at least a slightly premeditated kill to remove his father from his and his mother's life. we see that ed's father smacked his mother around, that he threw plates, that he was a drunk and expressed his frustrations with violence - and killing him would appear to be the last time ed struck out at a PERSON in violence that wasn't about the job

(person because he did kill that snake viciously and with prejudice, though i think thats reasonable tbh. reminds me of myself with the broom every time i see a bug in my house -)

even with calico jack, ed's violence is all games and fun - shooting bottles, shooting drawers, getting whipped, staging a turtle vs crab fight, throwing coconuts at each other - and the only time he gets physical otherwise is when he snaps jack's oar over his leg and dives off the boat. even though finding out your friends have been sold out by one of your oldest buddies is absolutely the time most people would throw a punch, ed doesn't.

the first time we see him be violent towards a person in the present is with izzy when he punches him in the face directly after being released into his care and being told stede's going to die now, because of izzy. stede, who ed loves and who izzy KNOWS ed loves and who ed knows izzy knows ed loves, just to make that sentence more confusing. it's the first time we see ed react with violence and its equal parts to get away and defend stede as it is because of the emotional upheaval.

the next time we see ed lash out with violence is after he endures a truly terrible amount of homophobic aggression from izzy. it's emotional and verbal abuse, but its also just, such utter homophobic aggression, and this might be controversial but i think its perfectly RIGHT that ed strike izzy in that moment. when someone tells a queer person that their affection, their love, their mourning, their grief and loss for their partner makes them a THING that should have been killed, that doesn't deserve to live, that they would be better off dead than being openly affectionately mourningly queer? that person actually does deserve to face some physical violence!

fuck that shit!

izzy absolutely deserved to get the shit KICKED out of him in that moment, but its not about what izzy deserves, its about what ed needs, and what ed did not need was to be kicked at his lowest with every sore spot to goad him into violence (reasonable, understandable, VALID violence) that absolutely seemed to take him right back to his father, to that abuse. there's a reason ed didn't just become blackbeard again, but the kraken, who was born in ed's survival instinct but also his need to escape an abusive situation. ed becomes the kraken again because he is horrified at himself and terrified of himself and what he's become, if he can be like his father and lash out with violence when he's angry, and because izzy *validates* that and tells him that this thing he hates is all he can be.

but ed isn't naturally inclined to violence, its not his natural state, its a defense mechanism that kicks in when all else is lost. we KNOW its not just because of disrespect because izzy?

izzy is utterly disrespectful to edward at various points in the show. izzy calls him a twat to his face. izzy questions him. izzy insults him and yells at him and edward laughs it off and shrugs it away and changes the conversation and leaves the conversation. izzy initiates violence at every turn with so many characters, and ed doesn't step up to the plate to dish any out until the very end, when he's hurt and vulnerable and doesn't think he can get away from this. i DON'T think that ed has been violent with izzy this whole time, in their history. it doesn't fit with ed's behavior. it doesn't fit with izzys - izzy would have called ed out on it, if ed normally punched or slapped or choked izzy for insubordination, because its clearly part of their regular routine.

this is why it means so much that ed shoves lucius over, barely seeming to be present, fully emotionally distanced, that he cuts izzy's toe off in the dark and makes him eat it in a show of calculated violence without much emotion at all, has the crew marooned with utter calm, and then has a sobbing breakdown the second he's behind closed doors. violence has been part of his life as part of the job, not as an emotional outlet, and its killing him to make it one.

Greek Mythology in Twisted Wonderland: Book 6 Part 2

hey hi hello once again! i am back to annoy and educate you in one of my weird niches once again. i already did a deep analysis in part 2 so if you want you can check it out there. otherwise, i'll most likely repeat myself unless otherwise. everything will be under the read more cause this will be long once again.

starting off strong, we got the hydras! as many know, the hydra is a nine headed serpent where if one's head is chopped off, another will grow in its place. it was mentioned as one of the labors from the twelve labors of heracles. it was the second labor that heracles has to tackle, the first being the nemean lion. i know in the movie, hercules would chop off the heads because he's stupid, but heracles was very smart and would find a way to lure the hydra out of its poisonous caves to attack it.

also should mention, its spit was also poisonous. i know in the movie hercules gets swallowed and thus allowed him to kill the hydra. yeah, the poison would've killed him. instead, he requested the assistance of his nephew to help defeat the hydra. with the assistance of athena, heracles would chop off the heads of the hydra while his nephew would cauterize the stump, thus defeating the creature.

another fun fact, hera was getting pissed that heracles was winning, so she sent a crab after him in the hopes of getting distracted. unfortunately, heracles would later step on it, not even be bothered by the crab. hera felt bad for her crustacean friend so she allowed the crab to be among the stars, and that's where the star sign cancer comes from.

tbh i first thought it was talking about zeus, but reading further it was talking about heracles. or at least the hercules from the movie because i can guarantee you, heracles very much knew who his father was. he was also not a god, his parents were zeus and a mortal woman where the name escapes me.

gaia is the titan goddess of the earth and the grandmother of the olympic gods. i don't know what titan nebula god idia is talking about because it's not really well known. the only one i could definitively find was astraeus, who is the titan god of the stars and planets and the art of astrology. in some cases, he was also the father of the stars and the four seasonal winds. otherwise, there's not much knowledge of him.

mnemosyne is the titan goddess of memories and is the mother of the nine muses, with zeus being the father. i've mentioned it before in my previous post, but zeus would have sex with anything and anyone. he was not a good guy.

anyway, i digress. mnemosyne was also a river in the underworld, which ran parallel with the river lethe, the river of forgetfulness. according to myth, souls who are reincarnated would drink from the river lethe so they would forget their past life. however, souls of the novices would be told to drink from mnemosyne. possibly so they could remember their past life, i'm not clear on the details.

aegis is mostly cloth that ancient greece has used. it was mentioned that athena has adopted the aegis as regular dress, even going so far as to use the severed head of medusa as a symbolic representation.

tbh, i would think they would use argus, who in greek mythology was a creature with many eyes around its body. he was mentioned as being a servant to hera. in one myth, hera was able to capture one of zeus's lovers (i think it was io it's been a while) who was turned into a cow and was kept in hera's garden. argus was stationed to keep watch, since his eyes would always be open. zeus devised a plan to rescue his lover by having him slain. he asked hermes for help, which he disguised himself as a shepherd and played a song to put all the eyes of argus to sleep. after he was sure he was asleep, hermes slaughtered argus by using a stone to hit him over the head.

i just think it would've been fun if the barrier was called argus. it would've been a fun flavor point.

lachesis, clotho, and atropos are the three moirai, or the fates, and they would assign individual destinies to mortals at birth. clotho was the spinner, which means she was in charge of the thread. lachesis was the allotter, which meant that she would distribute the mortal's fate. and lastely atropos the inflexible, which meant that she would not compromise someone's fate no matter how much they begged. one would spin the thread, another would measure it, and the third one cuts it. in some myths, they were the daughters of nyx, the goddess and personification of night. they had enormous power and even zeus was unable to recall their decisions.

fun fact, this isn't the first time they were mentioned.

they were mentioned throughout the entire game, but the more memorable one is during jamil's fairy gala vignette. no one really knows how old the fates are. they can either be really old or really young, depending on certain myths. also it's fun flavor points when the threads of fate are mentioned.

one more fun fact, the moirai sometimes gets confused with the gray sisters. in the movie hercules, disney combined the gray sisters with the moirai for some reason. the gray sisters, who were extremely old women that shared one eye and one tooth, only showed up once in mythology and that was to give directions to perseus to find the gorgon medusa. the gray sisters at first refused until perseus took their eye and tooth and threatened to tell him where she was, which they agreed. the moirai were perfectly in tact and didn't need to share an eyeball. or a tooth.

yes but also no. i think i've mentioned this before, but the titans do predate the olympic gods, but they weren't the original gods. they were the twelve original children from the primordial parents uranus (the god of the sky) and gaia (the goddess of the earth). it would've been really cool to see the primordial gods that even predate the titans, but disney is trying to tie it into the movies and therefore hates fun.

a cool mention of zeus's lightning bolt. i should mention that it was just a literal lightning bolt, not a thunder spear. nevertheless, it's a cool image to think of.

i should also point out that zeus did not single handedly seal the titans away. i mentioned it in my previous post, but zeus did have assistance from other gods and creatures to defeat the titans.

i get they're trying to connect it to the movie, but it would've been really fun to see the primordial gods in action. or at least be consistent with the actual titans. the only titan i can possibly think of that's the earth titan is maybe gaia, who is the goddess of the earth and is not a titan. the closest one of the phantom titans can come close to is coeus, who is the titan of inquisitive minds and intellect and the titan of the north, can be tied to the ice titan and maybe the magma titan can be tied to perses, the god of destruction. otherwise, there really isn't any correlation from these titans to the greek myth titans.

i think some of the phantoms are supposed to be nods to the disney movies. this one, however, i think is a nod to mythology. it's very similar to king midas, who as many know is a king who was able to turn anything he touched to solid gold. it was a blessing and a curse, as he accidentally turned his favored daughter into pure solid gold. he didn't have any correlation to hades, but this is mainly just for fun.

now i'm gonna just write it out because i either forgot to screencap it or i just didn't think it was necessary. idia mentions that no mortals can enter the gates to the underworld, which is somewhat true. there have been stories where mortals will enter into the underworld to reclaim their lost loved ones, such as the story of orpheus and eurydice. it's not uncommon, but it is rare for mortals to go into the underworld unless they're already dead.

the gates of the underworld is an interesting unique magic to have. mostly because of how media portrays it. rick riordan does a good job in depicting the gate to the underworld as being a door that's heavily guarded so no monsters or undead can enter through it. i believe thanatos guards it in the books, but my memory is hazy so forgive me.

i forgot to screen cap this part, but during idia's backstory when he recreated ortho, he mentioned about the hero going to the underworld to save his lover. this does happen occasionally, as i mentioned orpheus and eurydice. (tbh i legit thought idia was talking about them but then i remembered it was a movie tie in so whoops.) heracles does go into the underworld to retrieve a wife, but it wasn't his wife megara (extremely complicated and not going to get into the details. if you're curious, you can ask me and i will infodump.), but a wife of one of the kings that was one of heracle's friends. back in the day, the gods would take pity on mortals and would revive their lovers back from the dead. i don't think there's one for siblings, and i kinda feel bad for idia to hope that a god will revive his brother back to him.

what is pretty cool about the chapter titles is that each word at the end of the sentence rhymed. i don't remember if the other books had that, but it's pretty neat and it reminds me a lot of how greek plays, especially the chorus, would rhyme out loud during their performance. it was a nice nod to the greek and roman plays. (i studied them in college. it was an interesting experience.)

one thing i will critique is that i wished the towers were done a bit differently. in the underworld, there are three tiers within the underworld: asphodel, elysium, and the fields of mourning. it would've been really cool to see different landscapes that doesn't look so... stale? the technology part of it is pretty neat to look at, but seeing a lush meadow and experiencing a different side to the underworld would've been really cool to see. however, i understand budget issues and all that, but it still would've been nice to see.

and that's it! i might have missed some things, but it's already getting long. longer than the first one i think. if you want any clarifications or you want me to delve deeper into a myth i mentioned in passing, feel free to ask me and i'll do into much more detail as i possibly can. otherwise, hopefully everyone enjoyed the book and everyone enjoyed my little rants and explanations.

auctober huge post

hello, i have decided to speed run doing the auctober thingy because i am bored and need to do something. so, let's get down to it.

STIMS omg where do i start. i fucking love stimming. my main stims i do with my hands. flapping, moving my hands in fists, doing crab claws, tippy tappy fingers, touching nice textures, doing a surfer dude hand thing and shaking my hand, etc. most of my stimming is done using my body, but i also love visual stims! i'm very picky about what visual stims i like, though.

INFO DUMPING im a pain in the arse for this. thank god for my partner who puts up with my constant info dumping. my current interests are the gnostic gospels, and ancient christian religion as a whole. my long term SpIns have been greek mythology, the victorian era and anatomy.

COLLECTIONS i collect books, stationery, and crystals! i love all of them so much. i kinda have an issue with stationery, particularly pens, because my dyspraxia makes my handwriting terrible so i much prefer to type- however, i keep buying pens i don't need!

ANIMAL FRIENDS i love dogs, when i'm not overstimulated. i prefer stuffed animals to real ones, though. cats make me happy, because of their general chill-ness, and they're much more palatable when i'm having a hard time as they require less attention and are less stimulating.

MUSIC my biggest obsession is music. i love most genres, i love all different types of music. i usually hyperfixate on a song that i then listen to for days, and then move onto a new one when the previous one stops being stimulating. the only time i don't want to listen to music is literally only when i'm having a meltdown.

STIM TOYS stim toys are awesome! i love fidget cubes and tangles, but like chewellery the most.

HYPERFOCUS god, the stuff i've got done when i'm hyperfocused. i did all of my studying for my a level exams (british exams for the last year of school before university aged 18 ish) in about a week, and i hyperfocused SO FUCKING HARD. i forgot to eat, forgot to drink, didn't sleep much, just worked. i do not endorse this behaviour, i was horribly burnt out after. however, hyperfocus can be a superpower! i've had some of my best creative ideas when i'm hyperfocusing.

DIVERSE i think it's really important that the autistic community, and more widely the neurodiverse community, is more inclusive of poc who are autistic. there's a serious problem with the whitewashing of autism, partially down to media representation and also due to misdiagnosis of autistic people of colour with other disorders.

COMFORT FOOD bread <33 chicken nuggets <33 chips <33 pasta <33 rice <33 anything plain and not overwhelming.

SELF-CARE god, self-care is difficult. i procrastinate doing self care all the time, even with basic hygiene. something that helps me is having a sticker chart for when i complete basic self-care tasks like brushing my teeth, showering, etc.

NEURODIVERGENT COMMUNITY there's a lot of problems with the nd community, but also a lot of positive aspects. i find misinformation is a big problem, especially on tiktok- like, sitting with your hand under your chin does not make you autistic (genuinely seen someone say this). however, the spreading of awareness that autism doesn't just present as a white cis straight boy with a genius level IQ and who acts 'robotic', and instead that autism presents itself in lots of different ways, especially in women and AFAB people.

SENSORY EUPHORIA woodpecker. sounds. i can't express to you, how happy this sound makes me.

ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION i use sign language when i lose speech, and also write things down. i'm privileged to not lose speech regularly, only when i'm very overwhelmed, and so i only really use these methods of alternative communication when i need to.

VERBAL STIMS i like to copy tiktok sounds, tbh, and famous vines. it's fun. i also say 'beep', buzz like a bee, and make other sounds that would not be considered neurotypical when i'm happy.

AU-DHD i have both autism and adhd, and having both makes it so that for some of my behaviours it is difficult to identify where they come from. what's helped me is learning to accept that it doesn't matter exactly what disorder causes which symptom, but instead learning how to cope with the symptom itself, if that makes sense? having autism and adhd can feel very polarising at times, with two disorders that can feel like they conflict so often, but with proper management life can get easier.

UNMASKING i'm working on this one. as a moderate support needs autistic, to some extent, i can't mask. i can't appear neurotypical all the time. even when i'm masking as hard as i can, people can still notice that there's something different. this has caused me a lot of self hatred and internalised ableism, which is something i'm working with a therapist to undo.

SENSORY PROFILE i flip-flop between being sensory seeking and sensory avoidant. depends on whether i'm under or overstimulated, tbh.

LGBTQ+ i identify as queer, and pansexual as a collective. due to being a system, my gender is all over the place, but i like xenogenders and neopronouns a lot.

ECHOLALIA i used to get in so much trouble for doing this. learning that suppressing my stims like echolalia could lead to an increased risk of burnout has led to a wakeup call for me, and has really helped me to learn to accept who i am and the way i stim.

SPECIAL INTERESTS greek mythology, ancient religion, the victorian era.

COMFORT MEDIA good omens, doctor who, marauders era harry potter (fuck jk tho)

SELF-ADVOCACY unfortunately, being autistic and afab has meant that i've had to really learn to advocate for myself while with medical professionals. it's a difficult journey, and i wish so much love and support to anyone going through the medical system.

DISABLED i identify as disabled, and also Mad. disabled isn't a bad word. there is nothing wrong with disabled people. we exist, we take up space, and we have inherent worth.

Wyvere Reviews All the Monster Hunter Monsters (Arthropod Monsters)

If you know me, you know arthropods are one of my favorite groups of animals in the world. And of course, they're popular as monsters in media. So of course we have some bug monsters in Monster Hunter! We'll be covering multiple classes today, like we did with the last review.

Neopterons

We're starting off with the Neopterons, a class consisting of insect-like monsters. The first monster of note is Altaroth, an ant monster. I like those little crests on their heads, they kinda remind me of flowers, but what I really love is that they have bellies like honeypot ants! That's a wonderful touch of real world biology, which is always something I love with fictional monsters! 7/10

Tbh, the Konchu feels like they should belong in the Carapaceon class, seeing as how they have more similarities to crustaceans, especially pillbugs. Still pretty cool, 7/10.

The first of the big bug monsters is the Seltas Queen, who is obviously a bug queen. She's got traits of beetles and scorpions, but... kinda comes across as a sort of generic "bug queen" type monster? Idk what exactly it is, but I just don't enjoy the design too much. The tail is cool, at least. 6/10

Ahtal-Ka is a LOT cooler, and not just because they're a praying mantis with an Egyptian motif (though that is part of the appeal, of course). You see, they can create motherfucking mechas.

I AM NOT JOKING. LOOK AT THIS. IT IS CANON IN MONSTER HUNTER THAT THERE IS A SPECIES OF GIANT MANTIS INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO CRAFT GIANT MECHAS MADE OF SILK AND STONE, AND ALSO CONTROL THESE MECHAS FOR COMBAT. THIS OPENS SO MANY STORY POSSIBILITIES BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY ONLY APPEARED IN ONE GAME AND NEVER AGAIN. 8.5/10

Okay okay, I need to cool off from the mecha-making-mantis, and talk about another cool bug monster. The Temnocerans are supposed to be spiders, but Nerscylla here has six legs, which clearly means they're an insect! But they are still a cool bug monster, made more interesting due to the fact that they wear the skins of their prey. Creepy, yes, but the Hunters are guilty of that too. Also, I love spiders, even if this is a spider mimic instead of a true spider. 8/10

I know I've made the unofficial rule to not talk about the smaller monsters, but the Rachnoid and Pyrantula are just so cute, and also I like how Pyrantula looks like a little pumpkin! 7.5/10

I got a picture of Rakna-Kadaki's plush because it's kinda hard to read the features on the official render. Plus the plush is cute (actually the Monster Hunter plushies are cute in general, go look them up). Anyway, Rakna-Kadaki is a pretty cool monster too, with how they've wrapped themselves in silk and take inspiration from the Jorogumo of Japanese myth! 8/10

Carapaceons

Time for crab! Carapaceons are crustacean monsters, with most of them being specifically hermit crab monsters. Also, they have a habit of collecting monster bones, often to act as shells, which is pretty damn cool. The Ceanataur is a pretty good crab, I like their scythe-esque claws. 7.5/10

Shen Gaoren has some long legs almost like a spider crab, and also a nice coconut crab face. 7.5/10

I think my favorite of the crabs, though, would be Hermitaur. Like real world hermit crabs, they wear armor to protect their sensitive skin, but instead of shells, Hermitaur wears monster skulls! They also have a very spooky and badass face to go along with their creepy defense mechanism! 8/10

Bonus Flying Wyverns

In order to pad this review out and also get rid of the need to review even more monsters with the Flying Wyvern post, we're using some of the monsters of that class who are distinctly more similar to invertebrates. We're starting this bonus round with Khezu, and... well, they sure are a weird cave monster. They sure are creepy and offputting to look at, and that goal was definitely achieved. 5/10, they are a good design, but one that makes me deeply uncomfortable.

Gigginox, at least, is much easier on the eyes. They're more weird than overtly creepy, and they also feel more like a leech monster than Khezu. 7.5/10

Fortunately, we end on what is possibly one of my favorite monsters in the series! Astalos is a freaking beetle dragon, which I obviously adore, and merges those aspects absolutely wonderfully! They're such a gorgeous monster, and a perfect note to end this post on! 9/10!

good eve hibi, i was wondering if you, as an academic queen, have any advice for dissertation writing/planning?? im starting mine this week and am bricking it tbh

ahhh first off please don't worry about ko-fi!! i briefly had tips enabled but i got rid of them since i'm getting paid at my job and am very secure right now Alhamdulillah <3 but thank you so so much for asking!

re: advice......SOOOO much advice. pre-diss writing bricking-it is so fucking real. it's genuinely paralyzing lol. couple of tips to start so you're not overwhelmed:

PREEMPTIVELY take a look at your sources. make sure you're using a good citation manager! i've been using zotero for six years and i would die without it. read your sources before you start writing in earnest! annotate generously and make sure you have a decent organizational system--either color coordinated for argument or section, or otherwise pulling out useful quotes and concepts with page numbers in a separate document. this will save you when you're in the middle of writing and suddenly forget what you're on about/get stuck. tagging your sources will be helpful here too!!

write a skeleton of your paper! think of this as a slightly more fleshed out (hah) version of an outline. i'm actually working on this right now so i'll put that below. but basically, you want to have your arguments, at least your draft arguments, written out either in bullets or in a sentence. This is going to save your LIFE. make sure it's a separate document that you can keep referring back to and, as you review your sources and think things through, that you can add stuff into. It's okay if your arguments change. Just write SOME arguments as a starting point.

create a plan for every day/week working BACKWARDS from your deadline and build in BREAKS. the reason i say work backwards instead of forwards is bc it helps you reverse engineer a perfect progression. building in breaks does two things: 1) literally you need a break from your diss especially if you're pissed off at it you nEED to be able to walk away for a FULL DAY at least otherwise you're going to panic and never want to write ever again lol; 2) if you fall behind on your plans, you have some overflow days that you can tap into so that you don't fall too-too behind. usually the thing about paralysis is that you just don't really know where to start? this tells you exactly where to start and where to end.

don't spin your wheels on one section. you don't HAVE to write your paper in the order that someone would read it. if you don't want to write an introduction, that's fine; start mid-paragraph in a different section. this is especially helpful if you're like working on washing the dishes or brushing your teeth and you have a really good idea all of a sudden and need to put it SOMEWHERE.

DO NOT LEAVE CITING UNTIL THE END DO NOT DO THIS DO NOT DO THIS DO NOT DO THIS you will inevitably do this. to make it slightly less painful, at least put in a [CITE X HERE] rather than just [CITE]. that way you have a rough idea for where to look for your source. if you've done the first tip well, this will be made EVEN less painful.

also figured I’d send this as a separate ask but LOVE ur benchtrio skykid designs ^_^!!! I’m assuming cranboo is part krill? was that just a fun design thing or do u have like backstory or something for it? anyway yea would love to hear any headcanons/design choices/etc

OH YEAH THERE'S ABSOLITELY LIKE SOME "LORE" FOR RANBOO'S DESIGN!

Like yeah he's part krill! Ofc to like mimic the half enderman half sth else thing his dsmp character has, and while I don't have much story for this AU I got a "backstory" for ranboo.

Some ramble abt story/dynamic/designs under. Disclaimer this can very headcanon heavy as to how sky kids work in general lol

He USED to be a regular sky kid but due to something he gets partially corrupted by darkness, now if u know sky lore you'll be aware that all sky kids are called by the megabird to go to eden and die and reincarnate and repeat the cycle yknow. Well. Due to this "corruption" Ranboo loses his connection to the megabird. The only light he has is his flame. He can't gather winged lights. And his cape isn't made of light, it's regular fabric so he also can't really fly, only glide (like how capeless sky kids do yknow)

Not only that but because of the lost connection, if Ranboo were to lose all his light he'd just die. Legitimately. Because he can't go to Orbit to reincarnate. He's an odd case ^_^ also due to him being part krill I believe he can be a bit scary, i hc that sky kids can perceive each other through their flame, but Ranboo's is so weak he could basically go "under the radar". Once again adding to him being a bit scary.

Tubbo and Tommy are pretty much moths! Tubbo probably has more of an older player appearance but I believe they both landed on Isle at the same time (#twinsies) and they don't meet Ranboo until several reincarnations later i guess. Tommy is very put off by him but Tubbo finds him interesting and isn't as scared.

And they all become #besties later on, Tubbo and Tommy go to eden every now and then and Ranboo will always wait for them in the Valley-Wasteland limit. So uh yeah thats abt it ^_^

Also some design choice details/inspo:

Ranboo's cape is a bit inspired by the Cackling Cannoneer one (design isn't 100% settled but i imagined that one side could be white/red with more feathery details while the other is black/green with spikier details + some tattering), his mask looks like Twirling Champion although the under eye markings are green/red. The breaking of said mask is also inspired by cackling cannoneer's.

I got no real inspiration for Ranboo's pants but tbh it's very hard to try figure out some pants that give Ranboo vibes that would also fit for the Sky World

Tubbo's mask is heavily inspired by Gratitude Deer Mask and should have some similar color palette as that one. His cape is obvs tier 1 or tier 2 green and he wears the Ushering Stargazer pants

Tommy wears a default mask (just add a lil bandaid for the cTommy vibe), polite scholar pants, and basic red cape.

Anddd that's abt it tbh oh yeah stances/calls I like to think Ranboo uses autism stance (tinkering chimesmith) and i dont know if he has a call at all bc calls are kind of tied to sky kids having a flame; he either sounds like an extinguished sky kid or something similar to crab call but less noisy. Tubbo uses Proud stance OR the default stance his preferred call would probably be the fish call. Tommy is either a bird call or a crab call and he uses corageous stance. So yeah that's about it ^_^
