Oct 27 (Reuters) - Striking Hollywood actors have made a comprehensive counteroffer to the major studios, the SAG-AFTRA performers' union said in a post on social media platform X.
Negotiators for the union and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the group representing Walt Disney (DIS.N) Netflix (NFLX.O) and other major media companies, meet again on Friday, the actors union said.
Ahead of Friday's talks, a group of SAG-AFTRA members published an open letter to the union leadership, urging the negotiating committee to continue fighting for improved compensation, royalties and workplace protections.
"We have not come all this way to cave now," wrote the group calling itself Members In Solidarity. "We have not gone without work, without pay, and walked picket lines for months just to give up on everything we’ve been fighting for."
The latest counteroffer submitted by the actors union on Thursday comes after media companies and the union representing striking U.S. actors returned to the bargaining table on Tuesday.

According to Tarshoun, the draft law imposes penalties ranging from six to 12 years in prison, with a fine ranging from 10,000 Tunisian dinars ($3,148) to 100,000 dinars ($31,482) against anyone who attempts to or participates in economic, cultural or military activities with Israel, the Tunisian MP said.
The draft law covers "crimes of espionage, supporting the Zionist enemy, and carrying weapons against the Palestinians, along with the crime of placing oneself at the mercy of the Zionist entity," Tarshoun added.
The Sovereign National Line bloc, an alliance between the nationalist People's Movement and the leftist United Democratic Patriots Party, had submitted a bill in July to parliament criminalizing relations with Israel. If approved on Monday, the draft will then go to the president for final ratification before it becomes law.

Kinktober 2023 ~ Raven's Bingo Board is back!
Year 2 let's go! I am so proud of how I jumped into this fandom straight with the kinks and I'm excited to finally show off what I've brewed in my cauldron for October this year. Unlike last time, the blorbos and the kinks have been pre-picked but I have not prepared a single thing! Last time I picked waaaaayyyy too many options and overwhelmed myself and even though I still managed to post over 20 posts, I definitely want get them all this time. I will NOT be posting a bingo story on SUNDAYS, just like last year. I have something far tastier in store for that :)
RULES
Every Monday-Saturday of October starting Monday 2, 2023, at 9 AM EST through the 30th, I'm going to screen record using a Bingo site to generate the numbers to pick the day's blorbo and kink. Then, I have until 11:59 PM to submit a post (ideally in by 8 PM cause I like consistency) - it will either be a one shot, head canon list, small drabble, but I gotta post!
We're playing Black Out Bingo which means we gotta hit EVERY tile in order to "win" the game. Winning the game means hitting every single tile (not posting means I'm fucking myself and everyone over) - and since the Bingo site counts how many calls are made, I've created a list of scenarios that could be the final Halloween Day story based on how quickly it takes to win the game.
The Bingo site can make total of 75 calls, so how many will it take to complete the board? Note: my bingo board's highest number is O-73.
# of calls it takes to win:
25 - 41 calls = creepy graveyard scenario
42 - 58 calls = haunted house scenario
59 - 75 calls = Halloween party/séance gone wrong scenario
The Board: Each blorbo above (or below) a column of kinks is that blorbo's tile. So in this case, BINGO becomes - Law, Killer, Luffy, Kid, Zoro as the respective letters. Law's column is Pocket Pussy, Master Servant, Dirty Talking, Forced Orgasm, Pet Play. And since its Halloween, I'm making an effort to make every story stay in theme for the season.

How many prompts will be posted for each day?
• Three
Do I have to include all the prompts in my work?
• Not at all! Feel free to combine them or to only pick one. We simply ask that you note on your work which Day/Prompt you’re creating for.
Is there a certain structure I have to follow with the prompts?
• The prompts are up for interpretation! Create whatever sparks your inspiration, so long as your work is mainly about JayRoy.
Am I allowed to create anything?
• You can create fanfic, fanart, comics, mood boards, playlists, aesthetics, headcanons, meta, dolls - almost anything you can think of.
• The EXCEPTION: You may NOT take photography of human subjects (including in cosplay) as we have no way of verifying the age and consent of human subjects. Want to take photographs of your Legos or action figures? No prob!
• ALSO: While this is a censorship-free event, using live or photographic/videographic references of minors for artwork is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. If we discover that this has happened, you will be reported to the appropriate authorities. The mods of this event stand firmly against child abuse and exploitation.
Can I have poly and multi ships?
• Yes! All manner of ships are welcome here, so long as your overall work is JayRoy-centric. You can write Kori/Jason/Roy,or whatever poly ships that you like!

FAQ:
What must be included in the content of a filled prompt?
Stephen Strange (any version of him: film, TV, or comics) must be either the main or co-main character. Otherwise, anything goes!
What must be included in the tags of Tumblr and Twitter posts?
Please use the hashtag #strangehalloween2023 and the # of the prompt you're filling (i.e. #no6 and/or #witch). On Tumblr, please include additional tags for NSFW and common triggers (see AO3 for examples).
When can I post my prompt fill?
In the spirit of the theme, these should be posted in October! We'd prefer if you post prompts the day of or after the day has passed. For example, prompt 10 fills can be posted on or after Oct 10, and preferably not before.
What medium can I use?
Anything! Written prose, poetry, gifsets, mood boards, artwork, all is acceptable as a prompt fill. It's all about Stephen Strange in any form he comes in.
Can I combine Strange Tales of Halloween prompts into one submission (i.e. #1 "What was that? Is somebody there?" and #6 witch)?
Sure! If you post it on social media, you can use both prompt tags to help us identify it as such.
There are two prompts per day. Do I have to do both?
You can use the sentence prompts, the words prompt, or do a mix of them!
Can I use this prompt list with other prompt lists/bingo cards?
Absolutely! Combine it with any other event you'd like to use it with.
Are there any limits to how many prompts I can use/have to use?

The Writers Guild of America has voted overwhelmingly to ratify its new contract, formally ending one of the longest labor disputes in Hollywood history.
The membership voted 99% in favor of ratification, with 8,435 voting yes and 90 members opposed.
In a statement, WGA West president Meredith Stiehm thanked leadership, strike captains, and WGA staff for working to deliver the contract.
“Through solidarity and determination, we have ratified a contract with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of our combined membership,” she said. “Together we were able to accomplish what many said was impossible only six months ago.”
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents the studios in bargaining, congratulated the WGA on ratifying the contract, “which represents meaningful gains and protections for writers.”
“It is important progress for our industry that writers are back to work,” the studio group said.
The WGA ended its strike on Sept. 27, after the boards of the WGA West and East voted to submit the tentative agreement to the membership for ratification. The voting period opened on Oct. 2 and closed at 1 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday.
Ratification is a necessary step to get the industry back up and running. But production cannot resume until the AMPTP - the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers - reaches an agreement with SAG-AFTRA, whose 160,000 members have been on strike since July 14. Negotiations with the actors’ union resumed last week, and are continuing this week.

Fortune Lenormand oracle/art deck - new edition + limited time free readings!
I'm excited to announce my Fortune Lenormand oracle/art deck is available again in a new edition (the biggest change: it now has a custom box!) yay!!
To celebrate, I thought it'd be fun to offer some free readings, the kind I used to do back when I was tabling at events! I personally find the 36-card Lenormand system accessible and enjoyable for both personal and creative prompt-type purposes. These readings will use the 2-card spread, which is easy to do!
How this works
To submit a request for a free reading, send it through my ask box between now (Fri Oct 27) and Sun October 29, 2023 midnight EST.
Optional: Along with your request, include your question and two numbers of your choice from 1-36.
I'll do as many readings as I can before the end of October.
One question per person please!
I am not taking anonymous requests and these readings will be posted publicly. So don't share anything you're not comfortable with strangers on the Internet seeing!
I reserve the right to turn down a reading for any reason (the most likely reasons are if a question is rude/tasteless/inappropriate etc. or if I get too busy and can't do all the requests I get).
Asking your question
Your question must be an open-ended one, and not a question that can be answered with "yes" or "no".
Ironically, even though this deck is called "Fortune", I use them as tools for self-reflection and creative stuff, not fortune telling. It is an opportunity to open a dialogue with your self/subconscious!
For example, instead of "Should I [go to this event, do this thing, ___" or "Am I/Is someone/something else going to ___, try something like "What should I consider if I were to ___?" "Why do I want ___?" "What am I afraid of/hopeful for with regards to ___?" "How might I approach ___?" and so on.
You can learn more about this philosophy, and also get ideas for phrasing your question, on my site - check out the section that starts with "Framing your question" and up to/including "Reading Examples".
Also, you can have fun! Ask a question for your OC or a character you're writing! Ask questions for creative prompts! "I'm stuck in a fanfic I'm writing about X, Y and Z doing [whatever they're doing] and need an idea!" "I'm designing a new character, what could I incorporate into their personality or backstory?" "I want to draw a picture of my OTP and would like a prompt for inspiration!" and so on.
Decide what your question is before you make your request and don't forget what it is!
Seems obvious, but I'm reiterating this because you don't have to tell me your question when you make your request.
If you do tell me your question, it may help me give you more specific suggestions for how you can interpret the cards. If you're asking a creative prompt question, having details means I can suggest more relevant ideas for you to use as jumping off points.
If you don't tell me your question, please write it down somewhere or do something so that you don't forget it by the time I get around to your reading.
Obviously this is an honour system thing, but it doesn't really matter because if you sneak-change your answer, the only person it really affects (and potentially confuses) is yourself, haha.
If you wish to reveal what your question was afterwards, feel free to do so on the reading post!

The Merlin Library’s Merlin Finale 10 Year Anniversary Prompt Challenge

The Merlin Library is celebrating the decade anniversary after the Merlin Season 5 finale left behind one of the most memorable television endings and emotionally devastated all of its viewers as it aired on the night before Christmas…ahem. The Merlin Finale 10 Year Anniversary Prompt Challenge is a ‘prompt’ challenge designed to capture elements of each episode as the 5th season celebrates its 10th anniversary since airing. Each week is dedicated to a specific episode until the week of the finale, where the two episodes aired within days of each other.
This fest runs for 12 weeks, starting on October 6th with the original airing date of Arthur’s Bane: Part 1, and ending with Diamond of the Day: Part 2 on December 24th.
All creators are welcome to participate. Content is open to fic, art, edits, gifs, manips, meta, poetry, podfic, and whatever else you can creatively come up with during these 12 weeks.
You do not need to do something for each week, but there will be a special prize for those who do. Participate as much or as little as you want.
You may tag #TML10ANNIVERSARY and your content will be reblogged to our main Tumblr, themerlinlibrary.tumblr.com. If you are submitting to AO3, feel free to add your creations to the TML_10yrfest collection.
Please read the FAQ before sending an Ask if you have questions. Additionally, you may join our Discord server, and ask the event hosts in the server directly.
HOW DO PROMPTS WORK?
The themes of each week are dedicated to the episode that aired. You can write fix-it fics for each episode, or fanart related to that episode, or use the word prompts or color prompts for whatever you make. The content you make doesn’t have to be specific to that episode or an ‘episode tag’ art/fic necessarily.
The prompts are meant to inspire you, not box your creative muse in. You can interpret the prompts as literally or loosely as you want.
The only prompt requirement is that whatever you create is set in or around the canon era Merlin universe. The fest aims to celebrate the show Merlin and it’s original setting. As great as fusions, fandom crossovers, and modern setting AU content are, this is not the fest for that.
RULES
You may combine this fest with other ongoing challenges (ie: Merlin Bingo, Kinkalot, etc).
Each prompt week opens from the point at which the episode would have aired. However, there won’t be a deadline for when you post a prompt if it’s from an earlier week, and you have until the 25th of December to post. There will also be an amnesty week after the 25th for anyone who couldn’t post their fills in time. We understand it’s a hectic season for most of us. The event will officially end (and the AO3 collection will close) on January 1st, 2023.
In the interest of fairness, all pairings (or none, if you prefer to create gen/platonic works) are welcome.
The last rule is to have fun. Please do not stress if you aren’t inspired for every prompt, and have fun creating!

this event was for his birthday and I've changed it so now it end on my birthday because I had no time to finish it.
This won't be the best as this is(still) my first time trying to an event so please do wish me luck

• You can participate however much or as little as you want, no pressure to complete every single day.
