Thanks again to @loving-and-dreaming for the amazing ideas!
For all the years Steve Harrington has known you - which are way too many to be honest- you've always been careless with your health. There's always something more important: homeworks and school projects first, monsters and fights then. Anyway being selfless is what you and Steve have in common, he understands you and he knows how to keep an eye on you without you noticing, cause you get mad everytime someone, and more specifically him, tries to take care of you.
"I don't need a babysitter Harrington, I am the babysitter."
So Steve has learned to understand the way your body react to pain and stress, when you close your eyes as you get up he knows your knee is giving you trouble and when you ask him to open something for you is because the arm you broke years ago in the Byers house, against the stupid demodog, still hurts when the weather changes. But you know Steve too and you care about him of course, he has been you neighbor since you have arrived in Hawkins, when you were just a child, he was just the spoiled kid from the biggest house in the city and now  he's your boyfriend and partner in crime. You bring him food when he says he's home alone cause you think he will let himself starve, not that he can't cook - to be fair he is really good at it- but he can be lazy sometimes and prefers stays on the chouch slowly dying. You always make sure he brings his jacket with him, cause his stupid brain won't understand the temperature outside can be very different from the one inside the house and he will get sick. Also you take him to the doctor, even against his will, everytime he gets hit on his head and stay with him the night to keep him awake when he has concussions. You're pretty good at this, making sure he always comes first. He is your priority and it infuriates him of course, 'cause Steve Harrington doesn't think he deserves any of this and you don't let him do the same for you. Which is why - against his own nature- he had became more observant in the first place.
But this time he misses it.
It's Max that tells him as she enters the Family Video holding hands with Lucas, cause they need a movie for their date night. "So uh, have you seen y/n this morning at all?" Something in the girl's voice makes him turn sharply and almost knocks over the pile of boxes he was tidying up. Almost, because Robin comes to avert disaster.
Truth is you've been working really hard lately, being a babysitter and also taking shifts at Enzo's during lunches and dinners you don't have time to really rest. Steve has been doing the same thing, working as much as he can so you can afford living together so no, he hasn't seen you this morning, he just left something to eat for breakfast outside your door before going to work.
"What's wrong with her? " He asks.
"Nothing's wrong!  She was just asking!" A not so calm Lucas replies. Max glares at him. "Lucas, just tell me what my stupid, stupid girlfriend has done this time."
"She hasn't done anything at all. It's that we saw her babysitting Holly Wheeler this morning and we noticed  she was coughing...a bit."  Max explains. Steve raises an eyebrow at that
"Okay, fine, a lot." Lucas confesses, this time Max nudges him. Steve shakes his head. "Stupid, stubborn foolish girl!" He mutters. Robin places a hand on his shoulder.
"You're overreacting dingus" But as if he hadn't even heard her, Steve continues. "Cover me Rob. I have to reach y/n and take her home, then I'll come back. I swear" He doesn't even wait for her answer. Steve runs away.
He finds you at Enzo ready for the lunch shift, trying to carry a big table on your own, face red from fatigue. He stops before he can call your nome and just observes you torturing yourself and gets to see you drop the table on the ground andlean on it, coughing violently. "Are going to kill yourself?" When you hears Steve's voice you turn around and the minute you see his face, you know you are in deep trouble. Sometimes he tend to get a little overprotective, treating you like one of his children.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" You aks, trying to see something different in his face than the judgmental expression of a mother ready to lecture you. He doesn't answer, simply approaches you and puts his hand on your forehead. You try to stifle another cough and shake him off, but end up leaning on your knees with your body shaking violently. Steve holds you, caressing your back gently. "Home! Now!" He orders, his tone sweet but still doesn't allow replies
"But I have to finish-"
"No you don't, I'll talk to Enzo. Now get in the car and turn on the heating." He takes you home quickly and even if you don't need it he carries you from the car to your own room, after making sure that no one is at home. "Where are your parents?"
"Dad has the long shift, he'll be back tonight. Mom's out of town" And so Steve calls Robin, to warn her that he won't be able to work the afternoon shift.
You feel your exhausted body sinking into the mattress, lighter than air, as your vision grows spotted. You feel sicker than ever, your head weighs as if you have stones inside and burns like hell but you feel cold, at the same time: fingers, legs, arms, torso, it's all frozen. You groan, rolling on your side and closing your eyes as you hear Steve's steps.
"Baby. I'm gonna die today. Remember I love you and my collection of VHS is yours" Steve smiles, sitting near you and putting a hand on your forehead.
"Oh love, how sweet of you" He replies,  "Why were you still working?" He asks with a slight tone of reproach. One of his hands slides up your neck and then your back, the other one brushes your hair away from your forehead, then lightly caresses one of your cheeks. He starts rubbing circles over your back and it feels like paradise. "We need money, you know my amazing boyfriend and I... we want to find a place of our own and he.. He is working so much, he is doing his best  for our future together. I want to do it too, if I could I'd even get three jobs. For him. For us. " You answer, smiling. Thank goodness you have your eyes closed and you're probably delirious with fever, otherwise you'd notice Steve's eyes watering and the little tear that escapes his control. Sometimes the way you love him  unconditionally, moves him. For someone who's not used to be anyone's priority, your love is overwhelming  and he doesn't know what he's done to deserve it. Steve's touches reminds you of your childhood, the way your dad used to take care of you, telling stories about monsters and children fighting the evil, but now these aren't just stories and kids aren't just kids and you don't like hearing stuff like that anymore. And your father doesn't take care of you like before, he doesn't do it out of malice, it's just his new job that takes him away from you for a long time and you know he is suffering too. You don't blame him, but you miss him. Luckily Steve is with you to ease the loneliness.
"Hang in there, love" Your boyfriend murmures softly in your ear, placing a kiss on your cheeks, continuing to rub your back tenderly. Hide behind his words you can feel his concern, he's overprotective as always. "You are burning up, I need you to take this baby" He passes you a pill and you shake your head The movement makes you nauseous and you don't want anything, you feel so tired and sore that you are afraid a single change around you could kill you.
"Let me here to die" you grumble dramatically.
"Then who will take care of me when I'm sick?" Steve jokes, smiling at you sweetly. The sentence makes you think, you open your eyes and look at him worried.
"What's up?"
"You have to stay away from me" You say, your teeth chattering in the cold as he adjusts the blanket around you better. "I'm not kidding, you could get sick too"
"Dont worry about me love, You just need to rest. " He tells you and in your feverish delirioum you hold his hands and you let go, falling into a deep sleep.
When you wake up an hour and a half later, Steve is in the same position, holding a hand on your forehead and watching over you like your guardian angel. You would like to tell him he shouldn't be here with you, but the truth is the feeling of being cared for is foreign enough to make you crave it in a way you didn't know you could. You cough again your poor lungs out, trying to cover your mouth so as not to contaminate Steve, then sneeze repeatedly. He shakes his head, handing you a glass of water and supporting your back so you can drink comfortably. "And you thought you could work like this? You should be more attentive to your health." "Ohhh Still with this story? Don't be exaggerated, I'm not that bad. Also I was fine before you came at Enzo's" You reply stubbornly, raising an arm to push him away with a huff.
"You were already burning up and you wouldn't even think to come to me. I'm not a good boyfriend? You don't trust me as a nurse? I'm an excellent nurse, that's my job" He has a harsh tone, he wants you to understand that you really have to take care of yourself, today is a fever, tomorrow something else. Steve would like you to be your priority not only his. "Why do you have to be so dramatic! It's just a cold."  Your voice has a strange tone, it's hoarse from the cough, vaguely funny. Steve smiles. He can't be mad at you especially as you disappear into the blanket, curled up on yourself, like a child in need of care. And no matter how much you deny it, you need him and he wants to be there. "Come on Steve seriously maybe there's a chance I didn't pass you my lousy germs. Save yourself. Go away. Think about you my love"
"No way, I need to keep an eye on you."
"Steven Harold Harrington, You're acting like I'm five."
"Don't use my full name on me y/n, also You've been acting like you're five all day." Then after a minute of silence. "How long has this been going on?" He asks more seriously, as you peek out from under the covers to make eye contact with him. You are not even interested in the fact that you are not as beautiful as you would like, that you have dirty hair, swollen red shiny eyes and a pale skin, his steady gaze on you is so full of adoration and devotion that you do not believe it is humanly possible for some eyes express so much love without saying a single word, without moving a muscle, in just one simple glance.
"It was just a sore throat yesterday. I only started coughing this morning and then I was cold, shivering a lot, but I didn't... I didn't want to take my temperature. If you don't know, you don't have to stay home from work" Steve shakes his head and remembers the last few days, he should have been more careful because it's clear you're lying now and it's clear that when you said you were tired in the past few days, you weren't just tired.
"Don't lie to me, I'm not stupid. I mean yes I am, but not that much. You must've been feeling bad for at least a few days." You avoid his look "I hate it when you do this" He whispers lying next to you.
"I haven't done anything. You're just overreacting because you love me too much"
"Please y/nyou are the one who underestimates everything. And yes, I love you too much and I would like to grow old with you, but if you continue to behave like an unconscious foolish child you will make me die of a heart attack at thirty and you will break my dreams"
You laugh. "You're a Drama Queen"
"No you don't understand, today is just the fever and yesterday were demogorgons and tomorrow who knows? You always do it, not taking care of yourself, it scares me"
You hold his hand and after a moment of silence, with all the sincerity, you reply.
"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry" You are interrupted by a cough. "I've never seen it this way. I've never thought about the impact my actions can have on you. I'm so selfish. "
"No, you are the opposite of selfish. But you are right about one thing I love you too much. And now I'm going to get you some iboprufen to take down the fever." He gets out of bed and places a kiss on your forehead. "I need my girlfriend to be okay"
"I hate meds" You whine and moan.
"You are just a little girl"
"Thanks, my hero." But before he can leave the room you call him. "Steve" He turns around, smiles and you think that you don't want anything more than this for your whole life. Steve Harrington and you, your house, you dreams. The everyday life that becomes extraordinary next to the right person. "I'm sorry I said you were overreacting." You state.
"I love you too, y/n."

In the 4 months since working at Family Video. Y/n L/n had never once worked a shift with Steve Harrington. Sure, they had run into each other a couple times, sharing a co-worker and best friend, Robin Buckley, but the two had never been alone together.
That was, until this Monday.
Monday’s were always slow which is why Y/n was looking forward to spending her whole shift gossiping and talking movies with Robin. But when she opened the door, the last person she expected to see was the former “king” of Hawkins High.
“Hey,” Steve said, awkwardly shifting his weight between his two feet.
“I-I thought Robin was working today,” was all she could muster to say.
“She’s sick, I’m just filling in.”
Nodding, Y/n warily made her way over to the front desk, putting her stuff behind the counter. What was she going to do for eight hours with Steve Harrington? From the little she knew about him, they were total opposites. He like sports, shitty blockbusters and went through women like they were nothing. There was nothing she could possibly think of that would make for interesting conversation with him.
Instead of attempting to make small talk about the weather and whatever new burger Benny decided to put on his menu, she opted for complete separation from him. After placing her bag on the ground, pulling out her water to keep on the small shelf below the register, she turned to face him.
“Keith hasn’t reorganized this place since we were sophomores so I’m gonna go do that,” she said, walking away from the counter, not waiting for a response.
“What about customers?” she heard him say from behind.
“It’s a Monday. I say we’re gonna have 5 customers for the entire day tops.”Turning into an isle, she opted to start with the arthouse films.
“Hmm I say seven.”
Peeking her head from around the corner, she looked at him confused. He leaned against the counter, a smirk on his face like he had just predicted the Y2K problem.
“Are you trying to challenge me?” she asked, unsure of what game he was playing.
Shrugging his shoulders, he emerged from behind the counter. “Maybe I am. What do you say? Five or less, you win. Seven or more, I do.”
“What about in between?”
“Let’s call it a draw.”
Rolling her eyes, she withdrew back into the arthouse section. “Whatever to get you to stop talking, Harrington.”
It was a good 30 minutes before they spoke again. Nobody came in, like expected, but she could hear him fidgeting with something on the other side of the room. She didn’t care, though, let him do what he wanted it wasn’t bothering her… until it was.
“Alright, what do you think?” he said, turning into the isle. He held up a drawing, not a particularly good one as Y/n couldn’t tell what it was supposed to be.
“Of the blob you drew?” she asked, putting another tape back on the shelf.
“It’s not a blob! It’s Mrs. Talc! The math teacher. You had her too right? We were in the same class?”
Y/n couldn’t contain her laughter. She brought a hand up to her mouth trying to hold back but it wasn’t working. “Yeah, we were but she didn’t look like that.”
Steve smiled, looking at his drawing and back at her. “I think it looks exactly like her.”
She kept laughing, Steve joining along as he moved next to her, picking up a film from her pile to organize. As the chuckles died down, she looked at him, smiling as he carefully placed the films back on the shelf. It was a moment before he realized her stare.
“What?” he asked, placing another tape on the shelf.
“N-nothing,” she said quickly, grabbing a tape herself. “I didn’t know you actually knew how to work here.”
“Hey, I can do my job!”’
“Yeah but you’re Steve. King Steve who if I remember correctly, was failing Mrs. Talc’s class.” That seemed to strike a chord with him. She watched as his small smile disappeared, leaving a solemn expression on his face. “S-sorry I didn’t mean-“
“-No it’s okay,” he interrupted her. “I was King Steve, or at least that’s what everyone labeled me as… You were right I was failing Talc, but I’m different now. Changed for the better -hopefully.”
He took the last film, placing it on the shelf before looking down at her. She didn’t know what to say after judging him so harshly. Before even getting the chance to apologize, the front bell rang, indicating a customer walking in.
Steve backed up, his gaze dropping to the floor. “I’ll go help them out,” he said, walking away without waiting for a response.
She felt like shit, bringing up high school drama that he clearly wanted to forget. He was right, about him changing. If this was still high school he wouldn’t even be speaking to her right now - she was surprised that he even remembered they shared a class.
As she turned the corner she watched as Steve intently recommended a movie to the customer. He put a smile on his face as he handed over the tape, patiently waiting as they viewed it. He was quite good at this job actually, she was never able to get someone to rent a tape as fast as he just did.
The customer left the store, some blockbuster movie shoved into a plastic bag and Y/n decided right then and there that she would make an effort to know the new Steve Harrington.
Walking up to the counter, she rested her arms on top. “Alright Harrington,” she started. “How about we make this bet more interesting?”
He was caught by surprise, not expecting to get another sentence out of his co-worker for the rest of the shift. “S-sure,” he mustered out, recovering quickly with a raised eyebrow. “What do you have in mind?”
“Loser buys the other lunch.”
He debated only for a moment before holding out his hand for her to shake. “Alright, L/n, you’ve got yourself a bet.”
With a smile she shook his hand before turning around to go start organizing another shelf. She couldn’t see from behind as she turned into the action movie section but Steve had a grin that reached from ear to ear.
——
After that initial shift, the one where Steve ended up buying her lunch for the day, the two workers grew closer and closer. Y/n suddenly found herself having more one on one shifts with him, each which were filled with laughter and soon-to-be inside jokes.
Robin was especially grateful for their new friendship, finally having her two best friends get along was the best gift she could’ve asked for - and she made no effort to hide that fact.
“I just can’t believe that you and the dingus are getting along!” she said, watching Y/n stack another tape on the shelf. “I never thought I’d see the day.”
“Yeah, well you were right,” Y/n said. “He’s changed since high school. He’s actually a decent human being now.”
“I told you so!”
“Robin, I just said you were right,” she reminded her friend, making them both chuckle slightly.
Almost on cue, the doorbell rang and Steve Harrington walked through. Robin watched as her friend stood up straight, walking over to join her from behind the counter.
“Hey Steve,” Robin greeted him. “We were just talking about you.”
“What?” Y/n said quickly, seeing the confused look on his face turning to face him. “No we weren’t. What’s up? I thought it was your day off?”
“It is, I just grabbed the wrong tape when I left yesterday and Henderson is throwing a hissy fit. I’ll just go grab the right one… do you wanna help me?”
“S-sure!” Y/n exclaimed, walking out from around the counter to head over with him.
Robin watched the scene unfold in front of her with suspicion. She watched as Steve fumbled with the tape he was holding, walking closely next to his new friend. Y/n made no move to back away, smiling as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. It was like a scene straight out of a movie. Robin watched as Steve picked up the new tape, brushing over Y/n's hand softly in the process.
Backing away slightly, he raised a hand to her. “See you Buckley!”
“Bye Harrington!” she yelled as Y/n made her way back over to the counter with a smile she wasn’t trying to hide. “Alright,” Robin began to her. “When were you gonna tell me?”
Y/n looked at her confused. “Tell you what?”
“That you and Harrington are dating!”
“What!?” she exclaimed, taking a step back. “M-me and Steve? What- no- why- we’re not dating.”
“Well you coulda fooled me.”
“What do you mean?”
“Steve didn’t need help exchanging that tape. He works here he just wanted to be near you! And the way you too were smiling and blushing? I mean, you’re not dating, you guys have it bad for each other.”
“I do not like Steve like that, Robin!” Y/n persisted, crossing her arms.
“Whatever you say… Hey, you’re still going to Nancy’s party tomorrow right?”
“Yeah I’ll be there… I’m gonna go take my break.”
Waving bye, she headed into the back room, Robin’s comment still on her mind. Steve and her dating? That was ridiculous! She liked talking to him, having his company during work made the shifts feel like they were going by faster. And sure, she liked the way he chuckled at her jokes, like everything she said was clever.
But they were just friends.
Even if she did like him, Steve definitely did not think of her the same way. She needed to stop thinking about this. There was no good in dwelling over things that weren’t true.
🎬🎬🎬
The party at Nancy Wheeler’s was more packed than usual. Y/n didn’t know that she was friendly with this many people but nevertheless, the house was packed. She moved through the living room in an attempt to get to the kitchen when she heard her name being called out.
“Y/n!” she turned to see Robin, her arm strung over her girlfriend Vickie.
“Hey guys,” she returned. “Packed house huh?”
“Yeah I think the football team heard it was going on and crashed it,” Vickie commented, practically yelling over the voices around them.
Y/n nodded, searching for a clear path to the kitchen.
“Looking for someone?” Robin said with a smirk.
“No?” Y/n said, not knowing what she was talking about. “I’m trying to find the quickest way to get a beer.”
“Maybe he can help you.” Robin motioned behind her to someone.
Turning, Y/n was caught by surprise. Steve Harrington was in the living room, look around like he didn’t know what to do. She turned back to Robin and Vickie to ask why he was here but they were gone before she could.
“Hey, L/n,” said Steve, causing her to look back at him.
“H-hey,” she said awkwardly. “I didn’t know you would be here.”
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
“I didn’t think you and Nancy were on good terms… I heard about how she dumped you in high school…”
“Yeah…” he said, remembering back to the day she was talking about. “It’s fine, we weren’t meant for each other but we’re still good friends.”
Y/n nodded, looking around not knowing what to do. “So… beer?” she asked.
“Beer,” he agreed.
The two finally made their way to the kitchen grabbing two bottles before suddenly there was an arm back on Y/n's shoulder. A friend from high school hastily pulled her away from Steve, giving her just enough time to give him an apologetic look.
As her friend went on, drowning her in every detail of her life since the moment they last saw each other, Y/n tried to think of every possible way to escape the conversation. She tried to go to the bathroom, scan the room for Robin, and even just make up an emergency altogether, but the girl wouldn’t stop speaking. She droned on and on about her boyfriend and how they were going to move in together, not even letting Y/n speak a word. To put it simply, she was exhausted.
It wasn’t until the girl finally left with her friend that Y/n realized they had been talking for nearly the entire party. She looked around, watching as people crashed to the floor or leaving without saying any goodbyes - she had missed the entire thing.
The house was a mess and since the party was basically dead now anyways, she thought it was as good as time as any to start cleaning up. Finding a trash bag in the kitchen, she opted to start with the empty cans left in the living room. Slowly putting one bottle after the other in to the bag, she heard someone call out for her.
Groaning, she turned around, hoping for it not to be her old high school friend. When she saw who it was, a smile was brought to her face.
“Where have you been all night?” asked Steve Harrington, plopping down on the sofa.
“Getting my ear talked off by some girl we used to go to school with. It was so boring,” she told him, putting another can in the bag.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Helping clean up, maybe you should too.”
“No,” he waved her off. “Stop that, I hired cleaners to come in the morning.”
Y/n dropped her bag to the side, trying to process what he just say. “I’m sorry you paid for someone to come? Damn Harrington, throwing around the big bucks.”
He gave a small chuckle as she sat down on the couch next to him, their shoulders bumping slightly at the sudden movement.
“Yeah well what else am I gonna use it for. Might as well help some friends out right?”
“I guess so…”
Silence took the air for only a moment before Steve continued. “…my parents are never home,” he started up again, a more serious tone taking over his voice. “When you’re constantly alone, it’s easy to get swept up in making yourself busy to uh, block out any of the feelings…so whether it be finding a minimum wage job, hanging out too much with Robin, or paying to have cleaners come to your exes house…it just helps to take your mind off things…”
He trailed off into silence again, scouring to himself for oversharing with someone he barely new. Y/n could tell he was getting tense, the way his shoulders caved in, trying to engulf himself.
“I get what you mean,” she responded softly, trying to make him feel better.
He looked over at her, his eyebrows raised in surprise. “Yeah?”
Nodding, she continued. “My dad left when I was little… it’s really only been me and my mom for as along as I can remember. I’m so used to cleaning up and taking care of others sometimes it feels like my brain just goes on auto pilot. Like if I’m not helping others I won’t stop to realize I’m not taking care of myself.”
She could see his eyes soften, looking at her like he wasn’t expected to hear her unannounced childhood trauma.
“S-sorry,” she backtracked, looking down at her lap. “That got a little deep there for a second.”
Quickly Steve replied, “Don’t apologize.” She looked back up at him; he was leaning closer to her, almost feeling his breath against her face. “I like learning new things about you. The good and the bad.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
She felt herself moving closer, her eyes darting from his eyes down to his lips.
“I like learning new things about you too.”
His hand reached up, cupping her cheek, pulling her in closer. They were practically connected, their lips barely hovering over each other. It was in that moment that Y/n decided, Fuck it.
She closed the gap between them, feeling the hand on her face apply a little but more pressure. It was slow, like they were savoring each last bit of the kiss, like it would be the first and last time this would be happening.
Y/n pushed into him, pulling him closer by the waist as she felt his other hand tangle in her hair. He moaned into her mouth, turning his head to get a new angle. It felt…nice; something she hadn’t expected from the playboy of her old high school.
Slowly, they pulled away, wanting only a moment to catch their breaths before diving back in. But before their lips could connect again, someone called out for him.
“Steve!” He turned his head, his hair brushing against her face before she turned as well. In stumbled a very drunk Eddie Munson, a bottle of beer dropping from his hands. “H-have u seeen Chrisslsly?” he asked, slurring his words.
“No, Munson I haven’t,” he replied, a tone of annoyance in his voice.
Eddie tripped over the hem of the rug, falling on the floor before rolling over on his back aching. Y/n felt Steve leave her embrace, getting up to go help up his friend. Leaning down, he took one of Eddie’s arms and draped it over his shoulder.
“Come on, Munson, let’s get you home.”
Without another word, another acknowledgment of what had just occurred, he left, taking his drunk interrupter with him.
“What the fuck just happened?” Y/n whispered to herself.
She ran her hands over her face, like she would wake up from a dream any minute now. But as her eyes opened again she found she was still on Nancy Wheeler’s couch, in shock that she just made out with one of her best friends.
🎬🎬🎬
“You’re fucking kidding me!” Robin exclaimed, leaning over the counter of Family Video.
Y/n was restocking the sci-fi movies, relaying the events of the previous night’s party. “Come on Robin,” she said, putting another movie on the shelf. “It was just a kiss.”
“A kiss?! Y/n, that wasn’t just a kiss. That was a declaration of love!”
She rolled her eyes. “Come on, be serious. It was barely anything.”
“Well what does Steve think about this?”
“I haven’t talked to him since it happened…” Y/n said trailing off. “…Eddie came in drunk and he had to leave pretty quickly.”
“And he hasn’t called?”
She shook her head. “Hence why it was only a kiss. He didn’t mean anything more than that.”
“Y/n, Steve doesn’t just kiss anyone.”
“Did we go to the same high school?” she asked sarcastically.
“Come on, you know he’s changed since then. How else would you guys be friends?” Robin emerged from behind the counter, walking up and grabbing her with both shoulders. “Trust me. He likes you. Eddie just got in the way and he’s probably too nervous to call.”
Robin was being very persistent and it was not helping Y/n's case. She didn’t want to admit it, but, she liked kissing Steve Harrington. She liked that he opened up to her and wanted to know more about her. He was the first boy that felt to her like he actually cared.
But he didn’t call her, didn’t even acknowledge their kiss as he left the party with Eddie. Sure, he changed his ways but she knew for a fact that Harrington charm was still there. Why wouldn’t he call if it wasn’t just a kiss?
“I’m going back to restocking,” Y/n said, wanting to be done with the conversation.
Robin groaned, walking back to her place at the counter. “All my friends are idiots,” she murmured under her breath.
🎬🎬🎬
Another week went by without any call or talk from Steve. That was, until she walked in for another morning shift, one that she was expecting to see Robin at.
As she opened the doors to Family Video, finding they were already unlocked, she stumbled back slightly. Steve was already behind the counter, playing with some Rubik’s cube as he waited for the shop to open.
When he noticed her enter, Steve stood up, tossing the cube to the side, leaning his hands on the counter. “H-hi,” he said awkwardly.
Still in shock that he was here, she got straight to the point. “What are you doing here?”
“Robin, uh, called out sick again.”
Nodding, she put her bag down, not knowing what to do. They hadn’t spoken in over a week, a week since he kissed her and left without another word. She wanted a normal shift with her best friend, one where she didn’t have to worry about what she did or said, or if he was going to reject her to her face.
“I’m just gonna go organize the romance section,” she said, walking away without another word.
The shift turned from painful silent into one of the busiest days they had in a along time. Y/n got maybe two tapes on the shelf before a customer came up to ask her a question. Looking over to the counter, hoping Steve could help, she saw he too had another customer at the front.
With a smile, she turned back to the women in front of her, directing her over to the silent movie section. The first half of their shift went on like that, always someone helping a customer and having no time to do anything else.
When the half way mark hit and Y/n was able to come back from lunch, it was finally empty. She sighed, watching as Steve went to the back to begin his break, happy she would finally have time with her own thoughts.
While she was helping the customers, Robin’s words still played in the back of her mind. Steve doesn’t just kiss anyone, he’s changed. It didn’t matter cause he would have talked to her by now - called at least. No, she wouldn’t bring it up because it would only lead to rejection and Y/n didn’t think she could handle that.
The door in the back slammed close and Y/n peeped her head around the corner to see Steve emerge from the break room. They made eye contact for a moment before she stuff her head back into the romance section, set on organizing the shelf.
Two hours had past and every now again she check around the corner to see if there were any new customers. There wasn’t but she could see her coworker getting antsy, like he needed to say something but she would hide every time he tried. She had finished organized the section pretty early on, but there was nothing left to do so there she sat, reorganizing the shelf once more.
Y/n stuck her head out one more time, expecting to see him at the front desk but he was no where to be seen. Thinking he left to get something from the back, she tuned around to grab another tape. The last thing she was expecting to see Steve Harrington standing behind her. Yelping, she jumped back slightly, trying to catch her breath.
“Jesus, Steve! Why are you standing there like that?!” she exclaimed.
“You’re ignoring me,” he stated.
She sighed, grabbing the film. “No, I’m not.”
“Yes you are,” he continued, watching as she continued her task. “You’ve been reorganizing the same section for over two hours.”
“It’s messy,” she shrugged.
“Bullshit.”
As she went to put another tape on the shelf, he reached out a hand and blocked it. He stepped closer to her as she turned to him, not wanting to deal with his little fit. Staring up at him, she felt her gaze soften to match his. He looked distraught, like he was a bubble that could burst any second.
In a soft voice he said, “We have to talk about it.”
Oh boy. She couldn’t do this. Not now, not here. “Talk about what?” she asked, knowing full well that was a lie.
Steve rolled his eyes. “Oh come on.”
She stepped back from him, needing to get away from how close they once were. Slowly she shook her head. “No, we don’t,” she finally gave in.
“I think we do-“
“No!” she interrupted him, leaning against one of the stacks of tapes. She let her head hit the top shelf behind her as she closed her eyes in defeat. “I won’t let you reject me to my face so let’s just skip this conversation and go on with our shift.”
When she opened her eyes, she saw that Steve was once again in front of her. Making no move to walk away, she watched as he placed both his hands on either side of the shelf, trapping her in his gaze.
“I lied,” he said plainly.
“What?”
“I lied, Robin isn’t sick I asked her to trade shifts with me.”
Y/n felt her heart beating faster. What was he saying? What did this mean?
“Why?” she asked him.
Steve rolled his eyes. “Why do you think?” He leaned in closer, his face inches from hers. “I don’t think that kiss was a mistake, and I really wanna kiss you again.”
Y/n felt her heart drop. Was this real? Was she dreaming right now? She looked up into his eyes, they made her feel like she was the only one in the world. Fuck it, dream or not, she really wanted to kiss him back.
“Then do it,” she said.
Before the words could even finish forming on her tongue, Steve leaned in, capturing her lips on his. She felt her hands find their way to his waist, trying to pull him closer to her. He pressed her more against the shelf, the kiss quickening and becoming more intense by the second.
There was almost no time to come up for air as he leaned down to kiss her again. It felt desperate, like thirst you couldn’t quite get rid of. She smiled into the kiss, feeling him do the same.
They were both so stupid denying their feelings for each other. It was obvious how they felt, and now kissing him in the romance section, she couldn’t figure out why she waited.
As he moaned into her mouth, the door of Family Video rang. Quickly, they pulled apart, turning their heads to the door. A very shocked Vickie stood, still on the front doormat. Y/n pushed Steve away, trying to clean up her appearance like it would erase what their friend had just seen.
“Vickie-” Steve tried to start with her but he was cut off quickly.
“-Oh Robin is so going to freak when she hears about this!” she exclaimed, turning to walk back out the store.
“Wait did you need something?” Y/n asked, wondering why she came in to begin with.
“Not anymore!” she shouted, bolting to her car outside.
Y/n heard Steve say, “Shit,” as he moved closer to her, wrapping his arms around her from behind and resting his head on her shoulder. “Robin is not going to live this down is she?”
“No, I don’t think she will.”
He leaned down, trying to kiss her again but Y/n put a finger up to his lips. She turned around to face him properly.
“No,” she said.
“But I really wanna kiss you again,” he whined.
“You can… after you help me organize the romance section.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he said with a smirk, walking over and putting tapes of the shelf.
Y/n laughed watching as he tried to rush through the task. Steve Harrington was a goofball and very bad at communicating his feelings but that didn’t matter anymore. She found her place next to him, helping put the tapes away smiling at the thought of their kiss in the romance section.

You gasped and moaned out as you bounced on Steve's cock. The two of you had just been at a wild party and things got steamy between you and Steve so you both had decided to come out here so both of you could be pleased. And now here you were, riding Steve like it was the last time you'd ever be able to.
"Oh fuck, good girl." He cooed as you bounced on his hardened cock. You held onto Steve's shoulder for support and you now began to grind against him instead of bounce. The feeling of his cock nestled deep inside of you was euphoric. You fucking loved it. Honestly, you could never get enough of it.
You continued to grind against him as both of you moaned out in ecstasy. You had been super excited to come to this party with Steve but, you were so glad that you both decided to leave the party to go do something even more fun. You bit your lip as you grinded against him more and your head fell back.
After a while of grinding against Steve, you went back to bouncing on his cock once again. As you were fucking yourself onto him, you saw Steve look out the car window. Confused, you decided to look out the car window as well as you continued to fuck him. Your eyes then widened when you saw a few of his close friends standing there watching you both fuck in the back of Steve's car.
You were about to stop but, Steve stopped you. You looked down at him confused but, he just had a devilish smirk on his face. "It's fine, babe. Just let them watch." Steve said with a smirk. Embarrassed, you continued to fuck yourself onto your boyfriend as his friends watched you both. "Fuck, I love it when you're my little slut." Steve said with a smirk. "Taking my cock so well while my friend are right there watching you. Fuck, you're one wild girl." He said.
He was right, you were a total slut for Steve. And honestly, the fact that his friends were watching the two of you fuck did really turn you on even more. You were also starting to like the idea of being watched by someone else while having sex with Steve. You felt that familiar knot building up in the bottom of your stomach and you knew that you were going to cum any second now.
You clenched around his hard cock, signaling to him that you were ready to cum. "You gonna cum for me, princess?" Steve asked as he moaned out. You nodded desperately and moaned out as you continued to fuck yourself onto him. "Fuck.." He growled. "Come on, cum, cum for me, babe." He groaned out. With that your eyes rolled back and your legs trembled as you gushed all over his cock. He came the same time you did, shooting his load deep inside of you.
You both began to catch your breath as your boyfriend Steve looked back out the car window again at his friends. He then rolled down the window with a smirk. "Enjoy the show, boys?" He asked with a devilish smirk. They all nodded and you felt your cheeks heat up. "Fuck man, your girlfriend is fucking hot. We didn't think she was that wild." One guy said with a smirk.
"Well, she likes being watched while I fuck her like the little whore she is, don't you babe?" Steve asked with a smirk. You nodded and bit your lip. "Well, the show is over now so go back to the party. I'll meet you all back there again soon." He said. The guys all took one last look at you before walking off. As they were walking out, Steve called out to them. "Oh, hey! and, there will be another showing later." He said with a smirk. Later? This was going to be one hell of a night.
a/n: I hope y'all enjoyed this fic!

Something Good (Steve Harrington)
Pairing: Steve Harrington x Female!Reader, Platonic Steve and Reader x Robin Friendship
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: None. Pure, unadulterated, self indulgent fluff.
Summary: Steve has finally found something good, and he's not going to let it slip away.
Tumblr media
Somewhere in the woods outside the front window, not far from the house, there was a loud crack, followed by multiple snapping noises and a crash. It had been a quiet, clear night, the sort of night where nothing could possibly go wrong. Everyone in town was asleep in their beds, and some people had even forgotten to lock their doors.
Over the many years he had lived in Hawkins, by necessity, Steve had become a very light sleeper, and the noise outside woke him instantly. He was shirtless, lying face up with sheets pulled halfway up his chest. The summer night had been too hot for any proper blankets, but now the lack of covers left Steve feeling exposed to whatever it was that woke him.
His instincts told him to fight, but he was laying down defenseless and knew that wasn’t the best option. It took everything in him not to jerk himself up and roll out of bed to face off against whatever it was that made the noise.
Rather, making a point not to move his head or show any sign the noise had woken him, Steve began to check the room for signs of any disturbance in his peripheral vision. Steve always left a piece of clothing tossed haphazardly on the floor behind his bedroom door. It was strewn there in such a way that anyone who snuck in through the door and disturbed it would not think they needed to put it back in front of the door any particular way, but Steve would certainly notice it. The jacket he’d thrown there earlier that night was still there.
Glancing over, he saw the second floor window also hadn’t been opened. It still had the penny precariously balanced on the outside ledge of the window. That one had been Dustin’s suggestion. He’d said putting something on the inside ledge of the window would be too easy for a robber to put back when it fell.
Nothing else in the room looked like it had been disturbed.
Steve slowly reached out his arm, groping blindly for the bat that he always kept beside his bed. Only with it securely wrapped in his fingers did Steve sit up, slowly pulling his other arm free from under the pillow.
The streetlight outside the front window was streaming freely through the thin curtains and illuminating the bedroom. Sitting up, he could see no one had come in. He felt confident about that. The Russians from Starcourt were good at hiding, but even they couldn’t go invisible.
Steve shuffled to the edge of the bed and got to his feet.
There was a huff from the other side of the bed. (Y/n) rolled over on her pillow and flung her arm out over where Steve used to be, making a thoroughly discontented face when her arm fell flat on the mattress.
“Steve?” She grumbled, not bothering to open her eyes.
Steve smiled and touched the back of his free hand to her cheek. “Sorry, beautiful,” he whispered, “didn’t mean to wake you. I’m just going to get some water.”
“Mkay, hurry ba-…” Steve chuckled as (Y/n) trailed off midsentence, already nodding off back to sleep. He couldn’t blame her; she’d had a very long, stressful day at work.
Leaning over, Steve pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. He was sure the noise was nothing, but he wasn’t going to go check without a proper goodbye, even if she wouldn’t remember it, just in case.
Bat swinging at his side, Steve tiptoed through the house. He didn’t want to wake (Y/n), but also wanted to be cautious. Even if a sweep of the house could rule out any Russians hunting him for Starcourt, he could never rule out some newfangled monster from the Upside Down.
Steve made his way through the house, opening the door to each room and closet as he went, poking his head inside to look for any immediate signs of demogorgons or Russian spies or Vecna or God-only-knows-what-else.
Nothing.
The sound must have come from outside.
Steve didn’t really want to go check. This was his home, his one place of peace. The outside could do what it wanted, as long as it stayed outside.
But the image of a demogorgon, thwarted by the many hidden alarms and booby traps Dustin had rigged up around the house for (Y/n)’s safety and Steve’s peace of mind, stalking past his house and on to the next completely defenseless and unaware family was too much to bare.
Steve took the keys off the hook by the door and slipped outside, locking the door behind him just in case something got between him and the house.
There were no immediate signs of what caused the noise in the front yard, but the house was bordered on one side by trees that, at this time of night, could hide a multitude of secrets.
Steve cautiously approached. He wasn’t going to go in the woods. He wasn’t that stupid, no matter what Dustin said. He was going to skim the treeline though, just to check.
“Took you long enough!”
Steve lurched raising the bat above his head as he wheeled around. He responded to the sudden noise before he processed the words or the voice, and his heart raced as he readied to strike.
Robin, wrapped in a housecoat over a set of matching checkered pajamas, was illuminated by the streetlight as she jogged across the road.
“Goddamnit Robin,” Steve’s arm relaxed back to his side, but his heart still stuttered with the adrenaline rush. “Warn a guy next time.”
Robin grinned, completely unconcerned, as she came over to join him. Her hands folded over herself, holding the robe tight around her against the cool night air. “Sorry, thought you’d be out here before me.”
Robin lived in the cottage-style house across the street from Steve. They hadn’t planned to be neighbors; that was just sort of a happy accident.
Robin bought her house first. She’d considered leaving Hawkins permanently in the aftermath of the world splitting open, but when Vecna and the Upside Down and Russians and the military were finally in Hawkins rearview mirror, Robin decided that Hawkins was finally a safe enough place to settle down.
Steve knew he was never going to leave. This was home. The Upside Down had stolen peaceful nights, family, friends, his sense of safety. He wasn’t going to let it take his home too, not after it was supposedly gone for good.
When Steve finally saved up enough to move out of his shitty apartment, he knew he wanted to find a place for him and (Y/n). They’d only been dating for a year or so when Steve decided to move, but he’d known from day one that she was it. She’d gone with him to all the open houses and toured all the houses, thinking she was advising him on what he should get for himself. The only place that had appealed to her was the cheap, ratty fixer-upper across the street from Robin.
“Well I wasn’t this time,” Steve gestured towards the upstairs window with the bat. “I woke (Y/n).”
Robin nodded and followed a step behind as Steve turned and made for the tree line. “How is she? New job started this week, right?”
Steve smiled to himself as his eyes, now half-heartedly, scanned the tree line. “She comes home everyday dead on her feet, but there’s always a smile on her face. She’s running herself ragged, but she absolutely loves it. Wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Good for her,” Robin patted his shoulder. “I knew she could do it.”
“We’re still doing dinner tomorrow night, right?”
“Vicky and I will cook,” Robin edited the plans on the fly. “You can’t boil water, and I don’t want (Y/n) to come home just to have to make food for us.”
Steve rolled his eyes, aiming two fingers in the direction along the tree line that led towards the back of his house. He led Robin that way, scanning the dark but seeing nothing. “I would’ve ordered pizza.”
“I’m sure, but you have shit taste in toppings.” Robin jabbed a finger into Steve’s side. “We both know it. It’s safer this way. Besides, Vicky’s been experimenting with making her own meatballs. They only fall apart about half the time now, and even then, they just make my marinara into a meat sauce.”
There wasn’t anything in the woods. At least not anymore. Steve was sure of it now, or as sure as he could be. Robin’s side of the road was relatively devoid of trees or any premier hiding spots, and there didn’t seem to be anything disturbed on the rim of his side. Including Dustin’s traps.
“What time should we come over?” Confident the coast was clear, Steve turned back to Robin and leaned casually against his bat.
“Whenever (Y/n)’s off work, I want to catch up with her. It’s been too long.”
Steve rolled his eyes again. He couldn’t help it. “You saw her last Thursday.”
“Exactly. We’re neighbors, and it’s been almost a week. In case you haven’t got the memo yet, I like her more than you.” Robin teased with a grin. She thumbed over her shoulder, wordlessly indicating that they should head back. This time Steve followed her lead.
Steve returned the smile, practically beaming at the friendship that had blossomed between Robin and (Y/n), “She’s pretty amazing.” His eyes drifted up towards the second story window as he walked Robin back to the road.
“Have you asked her yet?” Robin noted the direction of his eyes. “I mean obviously not, you’re not allowed to ask her without telling me.”
“Not yet, I was thinking this weekend.”
“Good.” Robin hugged Steve into her side. “She’s good for you Steve… Something good to keep the nightmares away.”
Steve hung out beside the road with Robin for a few minutes more, talking over his plan with her. He was going to do it at sunset over a picnic in the field where they had their first date. He had written a speech and everything. Some of it left Robin appalled, but some of it, she admitted, was so sweet it made her sick.
Steve waited till he saw her door close behind her before he turned back and went inside.
(Y/n) was asleep exactly as he’d left her, facing his side of the bed with her arm strewn out over empty space and a slightly discontented expression that was clearly from not having her favorite nighttime armrest.
It made Steve smile.
He couldn’t help but smile when he was around her. Robin was right. In a world that he knew was full of cruel people like Dr. Brenner, threats like Russian spies, creatures like the Demogorgon, monsters like Vecna…
She was something good. His something good.
“(Y/n),” Steve tentatively touched her shoulder as he sat on the edge of the mattress, gently shaking her awake.
“Hmmm,” She hummed, eyes barely fluttering open, “Everything okay, Steve?” She blinked at him, long and slow, her eyelids barely staying open.
“Everything is fine. Everything… Everything is always fine when I’m with you.”
He’d been nervous about this weekend for months, but now that he was thinking about it properly, the nerves just melted away. She was it. There was nothing that could go wrong while she was there, nothing to be nervous about while she was there.
Now that he was thinking about it, it wasn’t a nervous obstacle to spending the rest of his life with her. It was an overwhelming urge that he couldn’t stop himself from acting on.
“(Y/n), will you marry me?”

Hell Hath No Fury | Billy Hargrove
Tumblr media
Summary: "The villain is the person who knows the most but cares the least."
Warning: Age gap relationship, Cheating, Grooming?
Requested: No
Being FWB's with Billy was complicated, I knew that he wasn't looking for anything serious and neither was I at the time but that was three months ago and I started to think that maybe things were getting more serious. That was until Billy started ghosting me and cancelling meet ups last minute. I had no idea why...until now.
Riding my bike down the street on my way to let Jonathan Byers borrow my camera when I heard the familiar sound of an engine, stopping my bike I see Billy's car slowly pulling  up to the Wheeler house with his head lights turned off.
Stepping off my bike I pulled it into the bushed while I crouched down low as to not be seen by Billy and the person in his passenger seat. I watched as Billy exited the car walking quickly over to the passenger side he opened the door and out stepped...Mrs. Wheeler.
I felt like my heart was about to leap out of my chest, it felt like someone was pushing down on my stomach as it became heard to breath. Watching as he leaned his body over hers as her back was pressed against his car. This? This was why he was blowing you off?
I don't know why I reached for my camera, why I took the pictures of the two engaged in a heated lip lock, smiling at each other before the mother of three returned to her blissfully unaware family.
One Week Later
This feeling was something new for me, I had no idea what it was but what I did no was that it didn't go away, it didn't fade.
It lasted. It lasted as I developed the photos in my basement. It lasted as I ran through all of my dad's printer paper in his office making copies of the two best ones. It lasted while I was riding my bike around town leaving one in every mailbox I came across like I was the fucking paper boy. It last when I got up extra early this morning to get to school and leave one taped to every locker and wall until I had no more.
But it simmered now as I sat on the bleacher of the football field watching as people started showing up for school.
First it was the teacher I wondered how they would react to the photos tapes to the surfaces, if they would attempt to take them down before the students arrived, mw knowing they would never succeed.
Then you fellow student began arriving not knowing what they were walking into, cause even if they managed to get all the photos from the walls there would be no way to get them from inside of the lockers.
After an hour I decided to enter the school, partly hoping that this may get school cancelled seeing as I was working on the three hours of sleep I got from a nap the day before.
Walking down the hall I see multiple groups of students all speaking in hushed voiced holding something I didn't have to guess about, some laughed and giggled while others just showed looks of disgust, disappointment, envy maybe. Slowly but surely more and more people came in as they all shared the same look of confusion and curiosity before they realized what it was that they were seeing as I stood absently with my locker open watching as the first of my dominos fell.
"What the fuck is this?!" You heard from down the hall as you turned you head from inside your locker. "How the fuck did this?!" Billy asked as he looked around angry, clenching one of the papers in his hand, I must have zoned out cause I didn't even see him come in.
Billy stomped down the hall repeating his question as he snatched any paper from anyone he saw.
I think he took someone's math homework.
The hall remained silent as no one spoke up to take credit because none of them had done it and though I didn't know exactly what Billy would do, I didn't put it past him to react with violence. Eventually Billy gave up looking for the culprit and stormed out of school before the sound of his tires screeching faded away from the school.
All day it was the only thing anyone could talk about, that unknown feeling was now replaced with a very known one. Boredom.
Which paved room for thoughts.
Thoughts like how Nancy Wheeler now has to worry about of her parents will divorce instead or focusing on collage applications next year.
Thoughts like now Mike Wheeler who is already a social pariah of sorts may never make new friends due to parents not wanting their sons to fall victim to Karen 'The Cougar' Wheeler.
Like how Holly Wheeler probably won't understand why her house is falling apart.
Thoughts like how Neil Hargrove will be pissed when he finds out and he'll be mean to Billy and when Neil is mean to Billy, Billy is mean to Max and she and her mother didn't deserve that.
But Ted Wheeler didn't deserve to be cheated on, right?
At the end of the day it didn't really matter, It's not like feeling bad (Even though I didn't) would change anything.
Karen Wheeler knew that cheating on her husband with a high school teen was pretty shitty, but she did it anyways.
Billy knew sleeping with a married woman was a shitty thing to do, but he did it anyways.
I knew spreading those pictures around town instead of just telling Ted Wheeler was a shitty thing to do but......Anyways.
Anyways people do all kinds of things when they are mad, Billy knew that better than anyone, but I wasn't just mad this was more than anger. I was..I was...Furious.
Fury.

Hey, buddy. I'd like to make a request for a Greatwise one-shot.
Something like Will meets Gareth for the first time because he got invited at a Corroded Coffin show or because he got invited to play with Hellfire.
It was just a random idea.
Thank you in advance.
Tumblr media
I would love too! I hope you like this short one shot, wrote it in class lol
Night Owls Dancing In The Dark
SUMMERY: That weekend all of hellfire had been invited to a party, hosted by Mike while his parents, Holly and Nancy were away. Being Hellfire’s most recent member Will hesitantly arrived and mostly kept to himself. Eventually everything felt a bit overwhelming with so many people talking all at once so he stepped out to catch his breath, little did he know he’d find another in the backyard of the Wheelers.
WARNINGS: Some One-sided Byler angst, an appearance of one of my many ST OC’s and Greatwise!
A/N: AAAAAAH THE SKRUNKLES !!!!! Also all comments judging me for adding my OC will be deleted, I love Noelle sm she’s my little skrunkle scrimblo. It’s kinda rushed and not proofread so like enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The various metal bands blared through the two story house, Will had heard it as he started walking towards it. Sporting his new hellfire shirt that he received the same time as Erica and his blue flannel. He nervously approached the front door of the Wheeler’s house, normally he’d ring the doorbell with joy, waiting for Mike or Nancy to answer so him and Mike could hang out on the weekends, but now there were so many people he didn’t know like how he knew Lucas, Dustin, Mike and Erica. All his friends may know these people but he doesn’t and it scares him.
His palms were sweating and the way his hand had moved towards the doorbell was hesitance. Quickly he had rung it and pulled his arms to his sides. Will had heard some light footsteps before the door swung open and he was greeted with Mike’s smiling face.
“Will! You’re here! I got worried that you couldn’t make it or something, come on in lemme introduce you to all the members you haven’t met yet.” Mike happily took Will’s hand in his own and lead his best friend towards the living room where a large group of people were talking over loud music blasting from one of Eddie’s cassette tapes. Mike looked around and caught the attention of Eddie and Grant who were listening to the music and relaxing.
“EDDIE,” Mike had yelled over the metal song playing “WILL IS HERE!”
Will gave a gentle wave towards the two seniors, paired with a calming smile. Eddie and Grant both smiled back and nodded, waving as well. Mike once again lead the way to the kitchen, away from Eddie, Grant and Jeff who he had already met. This time Will was greeted with two new faces. One was a boy who had short brown hair and freckles covering his face and arms. The boy with freckles wasn’t wearing his Hellfire shirt unlike Will and most of the party attendees but a black shirt with the sleeves cut off, showing his slightly muscular arms, still adorned with the same freckles that spotted his face. He had a sort of grunge, punk vibe that Will couldn’t quite place, but he knew that he liked this guy. The other member he didn’t recognize was a short girl with two long pig tails, and curtain bangs. Similar to the freckled boy she had a hellfire shirt with the sleeves cut off but unlike all the other members she wore a medium length jean skirt and many pink bracelets.
“Guys! Will is here!” Mike let go of Will’s hand to gesture over to the freckled boy. “That’s Gareth, he doesn’t talk much but he’s nice to chill out with.”
The boy named Gareth’s gaze softened as he looked at Will, giving a pleasant grin and waved before cocking his head to the side and listening to whatever rant Dustin was going on.
“And the girl over there is Noelle, try not to piss her off she’s kinda mean.” Mike lowered his voice a bit to say that last part but obviously Noelle heard it because she had said something in foreign language that he can only assume is Russian based on the slight accent.
Lucas looked over at Will for a moment. “Oh yeah also she speaks like 4 languages so that’s cool!” Noelle smirked and flipped her hair to the side before leaning against the counter.
“My dad insisted I learned Russian from a young age and my mom is Chinese so I learned all three languages growing up”
Will smiled and looked at everyone. “Well it’s nice to finally meet you two, I’ve heard a lot about you!”

All the members of hellfire —Minus Erica since she’s only 11— had been in the living room of the Wheelers, talking while music played. It was overwhelming, it felt stressful yet he had barely spoken a word since he got there. Will had never been with so many people in such a small space before, he had to get out and take a breather. He silently stood up, stretching his back and stepping out to the backyard. He took a second to lie down in the grass, staring up at the dark sky. He looked at the stars and how they glimmered. There were so many of them and so close together. It reminded him of the freckled boy, Gareth. He could still hear the music from inside, he assumes that Dustin or Lucas changed it because Eddie would never willingly listen to The Smiths. With the sound of This Charming Man playing, Will heard the glass door open and then closing along with soft steps in the grass until he saw a glimpse of curly brown hair. The figure sat down next to him in the grass.
Will looked to his side to see Gareth fondly looking at him. He gave a confused look towards the drummer and it caused Gareth to giggle a bit before speaking up. “Did you need to get away too?”
Will thought for a second before responding.
“Yeah..I- I mean I love my friends and all,” He paused, not sure if he should have said anything at all. “But they’re just a lot sometimes. And I like looking at the stars.”
Gareth laid his head back and stared at the sky with Will for a few minutes before turning on his side to talk to Will.
“So Will The Wise, would it be too much to ask you to dance with me? This is one of my favorite songs.”
Will let out a small laugh, assuming that Gareth was joking. That was until he stood up, dusted off his pants and reached out his hand for Will to grab. Will hesitantly laid his hand in Gareth’s before being quickly pulled up, their chests meeting and their faces inches from eachother. Gareth smiled before taking a couple steps back and the two spun for a second. The two danced through songs, from Blondie and Kate Bush to Queen and KISS.
Tumblr media
By this time most everyone was gone, as Gareth was getting ready to leave as well, Will offered to walk him to the door and when those words left his mouth Gareth perked up and held Will’s hand. When they got to the front door Will stood in the threshold of the door as Gareth stood at the bottom of the single step. Light enveloped Will’s body, cascading down his back and arms.
“You look like an angel from here..” He hadn’t realized what he said until Will’s face had flushed a light pink. Gareth quickly rummaged into his jacket pocket, pulling out a scrap of paper and handing it to Will.
“Call me angel!” Gareth calmly sped walk down the walkway and into his car, driving away. Will opened the folded paper and it had Gareth’s number written on it.
“Maybe coming here wasn’t a mistake..”

Chapter 22- Lover's Lake
Masterlist
Fuck Jason Carver. Honestly why the hell did he have to ruin such a perfect moment between her and Eddie. The moment the car pulled up Eddie was up in full panic. Marguerite's hands was grabbed as he quickly pulled her out the back door and back into the boat house.
"Shit it's definitely Jason." She said
"Yeah yeah they can search the house all the want. As long as they don't come in here we're good." Eddie said
They were infact not good. Jason and his friends were rapidly moving towards the door to the boat house, multiple weapons in hand.
"Eddie!" Marguerite whisper screamed
"It's okay I'm getting us the hell out of here!" Eddie said
Panic took over as Marguerite searched for something to defend her self with. No way in hell was she gonna let some idiot like Jason Carver fuck up her face again.
"Eddie if you don't get that boat ready right now I swear to God-"
"It's ready!"
When Eddie said the boat was ready, she expected him to rev the engine up. Instead, he insisted on rowing across Lovers Lake.
They had barely made any progress when a loud voice rang out.
"Hey freak!"
"Eddie!" Marguerite cried
"It's ok!"
Eddie moved to the back of the boat and began pulling on the engines string. Marguerite watched as Jason and Patrick pull off their jackets and jump into the water.
"Eddie get that engine on!" Marguerite yelled as she began to paddle again, she could barely see the paddle in her hands as her hair flew wildly in her face.
"Work with me here!" Eddie groaned to the engine as it refused to start
"No? Ok!"
Eddie rejoined Marguerite in furiously paddling across the lake.
Fear breached Marguerite's system as she saw Jason finally come close to the boat.
"Stay the fuck back!" Eddie yelled swinging the oar.
"Patrick let's go!" Jason yelled to his friend who was about 10 feet behind
Much to everyone's horror, Patrick disappeared under the water, only to emerge seconds later suspended in mid air.
"Shit shit!" Marguerite screamed as the sound of Patrick's bones cracking filled her ears
Eddie panicked as the horrors happened and fell from the boat.
"Patrick!"
"Eddie!"
Both Marguerite and Jason called out as the darkness of Lovers Lake threatened to swallow them all whole.
°°°
Marguerite had been to skull rock only once. Steve had taken her there and Marguerite made him turn around once she realized she was in his hookup spot. Somehow, being here with Eddie it didn't feel like some stupid hook up spot but rather an actual place for an actual date.
"Are you okay Maggie?" Eddie asked
"Yeah I think so. Actually seeing the way he kills though..." Marguerite said
"Yeah. It's all a bit insane." Eddie said
"Tell me about it." Marguerite replied
Silence passed as She followed Eddie under the rock.
"How the hell are we even gonna get in contact with Dustin now?" She asked quietly as she rested her head against his shoulder.
"Shit. I have no idea. That walkie is so waterlogged right now." Eddie said
"It probably doesn't even work now." Marguerite said
"Yeah. On the bright side look what I grabbed." Eddie said
Marguerite looked down to his hand and saw the Polaroid of them kissing and the one of just Eddie that Marguerite had claimed as her favorite.
She gasped and took the wet pictures from him. A smile crossed her face as her finger ran along them.
"When everything goes back to normal I'm gonna take a million polaroids of you." Marguerite declared
"Oh really? And what do you plan on doing with them?" Eddie asked
"I'll decorate my room with them. Every inch will just be, boom! Edward Munson is staring at you!" She said loudly
"You are so weird." Eddie said taking his hand and gently placing it over her face
"Maybe but, you're stuck with me now." Marguerite said, her voice muffled by his hand
"Hell yeah I am. Wouldn't want it any other way."
Sorry this was a little short. I'm on vacation right now so I'm a little busy sight seeing and stuff so the chapters might be shorter and less frequent bear with me please and I promise to be back with long chapters soon!

Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year. Slay bells ring, snow glistens, and y/n y/l has too many people in her home. She didn’t know why she volunteered to have the holiday party at her house this year, but, here she was, the house was packed with teenagers - plus the few newly-turned adults in their friend group.
She grabbed another tray of cookies from her kitchen. The room was already a mess, dishes stacking up in the sink, sprinkles all over the countertops. But that didn’t stop Robin Buckley, from taking a spoon and scooping up a wad of icing directly from the jar.
“Robin!” y/n explained.
Trying to swallow the icing to speak, she held up her hands. “I’m innocent!” Robin pleaded.
y/n rolled her eyes. “Come on, secret santa is about to start.”
A smile appeared on her friend's face as she walked over to take the cookies into the living room, stealing one for herself in the process. As they entered the grand living space, they saw the other guests light up at the restocking of their deserts.
y/n settled into the couch as she watched the younger kids dive forward for the cookies on the coffee table. Smiling, she felt the couch shift as someone sat down beside her.
“Did I miss the cookie refill?” asked Steve Harrington.
“Unfortunately, yes.”
He groaned in frustration. “Damn, your cookies are the best.”
y/n leaned close to his ear for only him to hear. “I may have hid a box of them away for us older kids for when the others go to sleep.”
Watching as his face lit up, he pulled her into a hug. “Yes! You really are the best, y/n.”
She felt her heart flutter at his words. Ever since she saw him back in high school, she felt herself swooning over him. At first, she hated herself for it. She didn’t even know the guy and if she was being honest, he was kind of a jerk.
And then the Upside Down happened and she was dragged along by her best friend, Jonathan Byers. Not too soon after shit started to go down did Steve enter the picture. She saved him from a demogorgon in the Byer’s house and that was the first time they had ever spoken.
y/n knew that from the moment he held out his hand and said, “Thanks for saving my life, I’m Steve Harrington,” her crush was not in vain. His warm smile, the soft shake of his hand…it was hard to stay away from.
She had kept a polite distance, knowing that he went after the girls he liked. If he was going to ask her out, he would have done it by now, so being just friends would have to do. But then those little moments would happen. The glance a second too long, the friendly smile in the hall. One look and y/n would find herself falling for him all over again.
She held in her breath as he continued to hug her, trying her best not to look into his eyes, when Nancy called out to silence the busy room.
“Okay everyone, let’s begin!” Nancy announced sitting down, next to her boyfriend.
Mike was the first to go, opening a new set of Dungeons and Dragons books from Will. He marveled over them, engulfing his friend in a huge hug.
Will got a new set of paints from Lucas who had recently learned of his friend's artistic skills, he was pretty proud of his present.
Lucas was shocked when he unwrapped a brand new basketball from Nancy. He didn’t even know how she knew he played but didn’t question it.
Nancy was next to open, getting a new set of journals from Robin. She smiled at her new writing books, happy since she had told Robin a few weeks prior she was almost out.
Robin was beyond ecstatic when she opened up a pack of language-learning cassette tapes. Dustin had given it to her, hoping that she would wanna learn Russian properly and not through some weird coded messages.
Dustin was also pleased with his gift from Max. As he opened up a new collection of hats, hugging his friend tightly, y/n felt a tug on her own shoulder. She turned to see that Steve had snaked his arm around her, pulling her closer to him.
He didn’t even turn to look at her, staring out at Max who was opening a new skateboard from Eleven. He acted like this was normal, that putting his arm around her was a daily occurrence; it definitely was not.
The more he did these things, the harder it was getting to hide her true feelings. She hadn’t really told anyone about them, even though Jonathan had teased her about it in the past. Trying to forget about it and move on, she slowly untangled herself from him, seeing Eleven open a set of Wonder Woman comics from her older step-brother.
It was the perfect excuse to move away, watching as Jonathan opened his present from her. He smiled as he saw the new rolls of film she had gotten him packaged with some photos of their group she had taken with a disposable camera.
He smiled at her, getting up from his chair with Nancy hugging her. “Thanks, y/n, I love it.”
“Of course,” she said softly as they pulled away.
Quickly a voice sounded from beside her. “Okay, y/n why don’t you open your present?”
She turned with a raised eyebrow to see Steve with his arms crossed staring at them. Sitting back down next to him she grabbed her present. “I take it you got me for secret santa?”
He shrugged as she began to unwrap the present. “Maybe.”
Finally able to get all the wrapping off, she gaped at the present before her. It was a first edition copy of Anne of Green Gables, her favorite book growing up. The binding was fragile as she turned it in her hands, opening the first page gently.
“Oh my god Steve!” she exclaimed, pulling him into a tight hug. She could feel his palm flat against her back. “Thank you so much, this is amazing!”
As they pulled away she could see him try to hide his smile. “It was nothing,” he said, trying to play it off cool.
Smiling she turned back to the book, not even paying attention to Steve opening a can of Farrah Fawcett spray and a fanny pack that said #1 Mom on it from Mike - he really thought it was a clever gift.
For the rest of the party, the book was all she could think about. After finishing the tray of cookies and another round of hot chocolate, after she left the room to go start cleaning the mountain of dishes, she thought about how it must of costed Steve a fortune to get the book.
“Need help?” said a voice. She looked up to see that Steve had already walked over, helping to start drying the dishes she was washing.
She smiled at him as they washed and dried, the debate over what music to play echoing in from the other room. “Thanks again for the gift,” she said. “You really didn’t have to.”
“It was nothing,” he brushed off, picking up another plate. “You used to reread that book every year. I figured it was important to you.”
“It is…” she trailed off, thinking of all the sappy memories from her childhood she had with that book, ones she didn’t need to be remembering at this moment. Changing the subject, she said, “We’re going to have to set up all the mattresses soon.”
He chuckled. “I still can’t believe you’re letting everyone sleep over. There’s like thirteen of us.”
“Ten,” she corrected him. “But still, we never get to have a normal day. I wanted all of us together.”
Looking up from the glass he was drying, Steve gave her a smile, it slowly fading as she watched him notice something from behind her. She turned her head to see Jonathan walking up, grabbing another plate to clean.
“Am I missing the party here?” he asked.
“No, no uh…” Steve stumbled out, putting his glass down. “I’m just gonna go check on everyone…” He gave a weak smile towards her before walking out of the room.
“That was weird,” y/n said, turning back to her dish.
“Hmm I think Steve is jealous,” Jonathan said, nudging her.
“Jealous? Why would he be jealous?” she laughed.
“Because you and I have always been close. And because no matter how close you get we’ll always be closer.”
“That’s stupid, he has nothing to be jealous over. Plus, no offense Jonathan, he could beat you up in a second if he wanted to.”
“I know, I know,” he responded, grabbing another dish to clean. “I think if you just told him he wouldn’t be jealous anymore.”
“Told him what?”
“That you like him.”
y/n set down her dish and stared at him shocked. “I do not like him.”
“You sure do, I saw, even when we were in school together.”
y/n snorted. “In school, I was dating Frank Butcher. Why would I date someone if I liked Steve?”
Jonathan shrugged. “A distraction?”
“Very funny Jonathan, but as I said, I don’t like him."
“Keep telling yourself that y/l. I see the way you look at him.”
“And how do I look at him?”
Jonathan set down his plate too, staring back. “With love.”
She knew her best friend was observant but she also thought she was being discreet. “This is stupid. Come on, we can finish the dishes later.”
Pulling him by the arm, the two teens made their way back into the giant living room. As the kids laughed on the floor, fighting over what record to play, she spotted Steve grabbing his coat.
Her smile faded as she approached him. “Hey, where are you going?”
Looking up at her, he stuttered over his words. “I-I forgot I have to do something before my parents get back in town…I’m sorry I have to go.”
“Wait-” Before she could finish her sentence the door slammed behind him.
She stared in disbelief. Why would he just walk out like that? It was so unlike him. Was he jealous? No, that was stupid. If he was jealous, he would have made it known; Steve wasn’t one to mask his emotions well.
Turning back around, she felt everyone’s eyes on her. “What are you guys doing?” she asked, slightly annoyed. “Put something on.”
Dustin was the first to move, finally selecting a Christmas album. The music filled the room as y/n sat down next to Robin on the couch.
“What was that about?” Robin asked her.
“I have no idea…” she responded.
The two girls sat in silence, watching as Jonathan pulled Nancy to her feet to dance with him. She blushed as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
“They are so annoyingly cute.”
“Tell me about it.”
Lucas was next to stand up, trying to pull Max up with him but she wouldn’t budge. He opted to just sit on the floor with her as they listened to the music. The rest of the kids huddled around them, setting up the new campaign that Mike got.
It was nice, all being together without some threat looming over them. The dancing and laughter, this was what growing up was supposed to feel like. She just wished that Steve had stayed to see it. She did not buy his excuse to leave for a second but could tell there was something going on with him. The boy had been through enough these past few years and y/n knew that letting him sort it out on his own was probably the best option.
The night went on and eventually, the kids helped bring down the mattresses. They all complained, wanting El to use her powers to levitate them down herself but y/n insisted some actual help would do them some good.
As the mattresses were set up for the younger kids and the guest rooms made up for the older kids, they all gathered back into the living room for a movie.
“I think we should watch Ghostbusters,” Dustin exclaimed.
Max groaned, “Dustin we watched that last week, no way.”
“Oh come on!”
“Max is right,” Mike agreed, “Let’s watch Empire Strikes Back instead.”
That launched a whole other debate that had all the kids divided. “Why don’t we just let y/n pick all right? It’s her house!” Will said. “y/n?” Too engrossed in her secret santa present, it took multiple tries to get her to listen.
“What? She finally asked being pulled out of the book. “I don’t care as long as everyone agrees.”
Robin furrowed her eyebrows next to her friend. “That must be some book you got there huh?” she asked.
“An expensive one,” Jonathan added, earning him a slap on the shoulder from Nancy.
“Is it really surprising?” Nancy asked. “Steve’s got money why not spend it?”
“Yeah,” Robing chimed in. “Remember when he fell in love with you, Nance? You told me how he bought you that ridiculously expensive necklace I mean-” The words hit her as she was saying them. “Nothing, I meant nothing, never mind.
y/n felt her brain falter for a moment. “Wait, Robin what did you just say?”
“Nothing! I said nothing!”
She leaned forward towards Robin. “Robin,” she persisted. “What did you just say?”
“I-I” Robin didn’t know what to say. She wasn’t supposed to say that, y/n wasn’t supposed to find out this way.
“Did you say he loves me?”
She looked around the room at all of her friends. They sat quietly, not wanting to make matters worse. It was Jonathan that finally confessed the truth.
“Yes, all right? He’s in love with you. But you clearly love him so what's the big deal?” he said.
“You knew?”
“We all knew,” Lucas said quietly. “He forced us not to say anything but if we’re being honest he’s pretty bad at hiding it.”
Max slapped his arm at that. “He wanted to tell you in his own time,” she said.
Jonathan jumped back in. “He told me that he was gonna tell you when he pulled your name for secret santa. I guess he thought you would understand with the book or he chickened out…”
The room was quiet as y/n tried to process what was happening. Why was she talking to them about this and not Steve himself? Without thinking, she stood up abruptly.
“I-I need to leave,” she said, grabbing the book Steve had gotten her and her keys that hung next to the front door.
“It’s your house!” Mike yelled out.
“I’ll be back later, Nancy’s in charge!” she yelled before slamming the door and running to her car.
Steve's house was only about ten minutes away which gave her less time that she had liked to think through it all. Everything about tonight somehow felt more clear with this new knowledge. She now realized how he wrapped her arm around her was definitely not in a friend's only kind of way. It probably made his heart flutter the same way it made hers.
Robin was right too, he did buy expensive things for the ones he loves. She remembered when Nancy showed her that necklace back when they first got together. Then, there was the kitchen “argument”if you could call it that. Maybe Jonathan was right, maybe he was jealous. Even if they did get together, both of them would know that she would always be closer to Jonathan and y/n understands why being reminded of that would make him upset.
But then again, it made her mad. Mad that she had been crushing on him forever only to find out he was doing the same. Why did he treat her differently than the other girls he liked? He would tell them right away, asking them to go on a date but with her? He stayed silent, only for her to find out through her other friends…
Finally, she pulled into his driveway, not even bothering to lock her car as she went up and knocked on his front door. The lights were on inside, and she could see a shadow step over the crack of light that shined from under the door.
Steve opened it, stepping back slightly when he saw her on the other side. “y/n what-” She shoved the book into his chest, not knowing what else to do. He took it, confused. “Did you not like it?”
“No,” she said, crossing her arms. “I like it, that’s the problem.” It was probably too aggressive but she didn’t care, he had to answer for what she had learned.
“I don’t understand-”
“How long have you known?” she interrupted him.
He tilted his head, still not getting what was going on. “Known what?”
“How long have you been in love with me?”
That hit him like a ton of bricks. His mouth fell open slightly as he staggered back until hitting the table that stood in the entrance of his home. y/n moved inside, shutting the door behind her before turning back to him.
“Who told you that?” he asked.
“How long, Steve?” she persisted.
His mouth was still open as he fiddled with the book in his hands. He looked down at it, running a finger along the spine. There was no point in denying now right?
“Since you saved me from that demogorgon in ‘83…” he confessed.
Now it was y/n who was shocked. That was way longer than she was expecting. “Three years, you’ve known for three years?”
“I’m sorry I should have told you but…” he trailed off, trying to take a deep breath to control his breathing. It was getting to him, keeping it a secret for all these years, too long for someone that didn't know.
“You were the first person that ever gave two shits about me,” he continued, “Yeah, I had Nancy but, it was clear from the start she knew I wouldn’t make it past high school graduation. You were the first person that believed in me and pushed me to be better. You make me laugh in ways I didn’t think possible just…how was I not supposed to fall in love with you?”
“You could have told me, Steve. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. Yeah, I developed feelings for you but what if you didn’t like me back? What if we dated and then broke up? I wouldn’t just be losing love, I would be losing my best friend…Jonathan try to get me to tell you when I pulled your name for secret santa but, I couldn’t go through with it.”
He looked up at y/n who was staring down at her feet, unable to meet his gaze. It hurt, knowing how much he screwed up but there was no turning back now.
“Are you mad I fell in love with you?” he asked.
y/n shook her head as she lifted her gaze. He could see her eyes begin to water as she held them back.
“No,” she finally said, “I’m not mad because…” she took a deep breath, “I’m mad because I have loved you since the moment I saw you in high school and neither of us had the fucking balls to admit it.”
He froze, not expecting those words to come out of her mouth. Standing up straight, he took a step towards her. “Y-you love me?” She nodded as he took another step, watching him set the book down on the table behind him. “But after we met- in high school. You went out with that guy Frank-”
“Frank was just a distraction,” she interrupted, taking a step towards him until he towered over her. She looked up to meet his eyes. “It’s always been you, Steve.”
She felt as his hands reached up to cup both of her cheeks. His eyes darted back and forth between hers and her lips. He took in a deep breath, one she could feel because of how close they were standing. She let her arms fall around his waist, pulling him closer to her.
“I’m going to kiss you now,” he said softly, their lips almost brushing.
y/n leaned forward more. “I won’t stop you,” she managed to say before crashing her lips to his.
Immediately, her grip on him tightened. He cupped her face with one hand as he dropped the other to wrap around her back. They held each other close as they deepened the kiss, moving their heads in rhythm with each other.
She felt him start to move as they kissed, pulling her up to him. y/n wrapped her legs around his waist, leaning her full weight into him as he carried her into the living room. They didn’t break the kiss once as she felt herself be lowered onto the couch.
They must have got the distance wrong because as she was lowered down, she felt that half her body wasn’t on anything. Before she knew it, Steve came crashing down on top of her before they both rolled off the couch and onto the floor.
She fell onto his chest before rolling over to lay next to him. Trying to catch her breath, she looked up at him. A smile broke out on both of their faces when they made eye contact. y/n couldn’t help but giggle as she saw Steve chuckle, pulling her into him.
She leaned into his side, putting a hand on his chest as they lay on the ground and laughed. Forcing herself to sit up slightly, she leaned forward and planted another kiss on his lips.
This time she was slowly, delicate as their mouths moved together. She could feel his hand reach up and tangle in her hair as she pulled away. He smiled up at her, unsure that all of this had really happened.
“Please come back to the party?” she asked softly.
He pretended to debate it for a moment. “Only if I can tell people you’re my girlfriend,” he retorted.
She smile, leaning back down so her lips once again hovered over his. “That sounds like a fair trade.”
They connected once more for a quick peck that couldn’t have lasted more than three seconds. “And, if I can sleep in your bed tonight.”
y/n laughed, burying her head into his chest. “One step at a time, Harrington.”
“All right, all right. It was worth a shot.”

Here is Eddie finally finding the source of the never-ending singing. (click for quality)
I wanna talk a little about her design the blue for her tail was inspired by whales, they're all a shade of gray blue or black, so this makes it easy for her to camouflage often her tail is mistaken for a fish only if she intentionally shows herself then people realize what she is.
The redish pinkish lines are jellyfish stings. She lives in the sea so ofc she's run into one or two while not paying attention hehe
And again inspired by whales I put barnacles growing on her titties. I didn't want to do the typical shells or seaweed bra so I thought this was a cooler option. Thinking about it now that probably hurts like hell ahjsksdk.
sweetheart im soooooo sorry it took this long for me to reply but you can tell me if it was worth it or not :) 💕

Hell Hath No Fury | Mike Wheeler
Tumblr media
Summary: "People will stab you in the back and ask why you're bleeding."
Warning: None
Request: No
Sitting on the couch of the Wheeler basement was a typical Saturday, reading though one of Mrs. Wheelers magazines while Dustin and Will attempted to explain the rules of D&D, Lucas and Max arguing about something in the corner.
"Oh," I said dropping the magazine onto my lap bringing my hand up to my face.
"What's wrong?" Mike asked from his spot next to me on the sofa.
"I think there's something in my eyes." I said attempting to rub away the debris in my eye. "Correction I know something is in my eye." I joked.
"Don't rub it." Mike ordered scooting closer before pulling my hand from my face. "It's probably just an eye lash, you want me to blow it?" He asked.
"Yeah." I answered, opening my eyes as wide as I could leaning closer as he did the same.
"Better?" Mike asked after her was finished. Blinking my eye a few times I smiled.
"Ye-." Before I could finish my answer my body was dragged away from Mike and into the wall behind me.
Everyone's heads snapped over to the sound of my body hitting the concrete wall accompanied by a cry of pain. Before anyone could do anything I was flung into a small table, breaking under the force and my weight sending me crashing onto the ground.
"Are you okay!" Mike asked rushing over placing his hand on my back waist to help me up. "Eleven what the hell?!" He snapped at the super powered girl.
Taking their eyes from me to Eleven the whole party waited for an answer only for Eleven to remain silent eyes locked on me, taking a step forward. "I-." Before she could say much of anything I pulled myself from Mike's hold and headed for the stair.
"I have to get home." I said practically running up the stairs holding my arm to my chest and didn't stop until I got home.
The next day I got dropped off after getting a call for a party meeting, a meeting now happening in Mike's basement usually meant it was important. Knocking on the door I was a bit surprised at how quickly it was opened revealing Joyce with a strained smile on her face.
"Hey sweetie, come on in." She said guiding me inside. Entering the house I was not surprised to see the party already in attendance along with 'The Scoops Troop', Nancy, Johnathan and Hopper. "Have a seat, We just wanted to talk about what happened yesterday." She said as you sat down in her sofa before I could get completely situated Mike settled in the space next to me, even shoving Will over a bit to fit in the spot.
Everyone sat in silence for awhile sending my quick worried glances but making sure never to let their looks linger. "Is everything okay?" I asked looking around.
"We just wanted to see how you were doing kid." Hopped said pushing off the wall of the living room. "You went to the hospital." He observed pointing out the cast on my right arm.
"What did the doctor say?" Mike asked scooting closer if that was even possible. "Is it broken?"
"No, they said it's just a fracture." I assured him. "Moms insists on driving me everywhere now, I told her it happed when I was riding my bike." I explained.
"I think a fracture is the same thing as it being broken." Max pointed out. "Its not visibly broken but still broken."
"Broken or not broken bottom line it shouldn't have happened." Hopped said. "Though it won't change anything I think Eleven still owes you an apology." He said glaring over to his adopted daughter who had yet to  do anything but glare at the floor.
"I didn't do it." Eleven replied not taking her eyes of the carpet.
"Yeah, well then who did?" Mike snapped at his girlfriend. "Last I check no one else can move thing with their minds."
I don't know, but not me." Eleven argued back glaring to the wheeler boy.
"Maybe you just didn't mean to do it." Will offered.
"No."
"Yeah, it could have been an accident." Lucas agreed.
"No."
"Are you sure you weren't a little jealo-." Dustin started but was cut off.
"No no no no no!" Eleven shouted shaking her head as the coffee table slide quickly towards the sofa causing Mike, Will and I to yank our feet up before the it could make contact with our legs.
Once again all eyes were on Eleven as the looked around at all the shocked, upset and slightly accusatory looks.
Pushing the table away from the sofa I stood up and made my way over to her before grabbing her hand with my uninjured one. "I believe you El." I smiled at her.
"You do?" She asked.
"You do?" Mike repeated shocked.
"Yeah, El said she didn't do it, maybe there is someone or something out there, something we missed." I offered looking around the room. "Besides 'friends don't lie', right El?" I asked looking into her brown eyes.
"Right." She agreed squeezing my hand. Looking around I spot a marker next to the TV, grabbing it I hold it out to her. "Wanna sign my cast?"
<_>
Sitting on my bed I played with the cord of my phone. "Do you really believe that it was something else that attacked you?" Mike asked.
"I don't know," I replied. "She said she didn't do it."
"Of course she did it, she's the only person who could have done it." Mike rebutted.
"El is my friend and your girlfriend, maybe she was just upset at how close we were-."
"That's no excuse. She could have killed you." He complained. "Your just too nice, you're always so nice."
"Well thank you, I find you pretty nice as well." I joked back. "Wow it's pretty late, maybe we should call it a night." I offered.
"What? it's not that late." Mike pointed out. "Another hour should be fine."
"Yeah it's just the pain medication makes me kind of drowsy." I yawned. "We can keep talking if you want."
"No, you should sleep. Maybe we could meet up and talk tomorrow." He offered.
"Yeah, I can call Max and El and you can walkie the guys."
"I was thinking we could just hang out." Mike said. "You know just the two of us."
"Just us." I repeated.
"You’re still pretty hurt, you need your rest and you know how the guys get, plus your meds are taking a lot out of you." He reasoned. "So what do you say? I can be over around 10."
"10 sound great." I replied. "See you then, goodnight mike."
"Goodnight."
Placing the phone on the receiver on the bedside table I turned off the lap before getting comfortable under the cover, closing my eyes I noticed a small stream of light pushing through my eye lid.
I open my eyes looking to the source seeing the street light right outside of the window lighting to room through the open curtain. Lifting my hand towards the window I watched as the curtains snapped closed plunging the room into darkness, ready to sleep in order to get ready for my day tomorrow.
A few more 'incidents' like yesterday and I'll have Mike all to myself just like it was before Will went missing.
Before we found her in those woods that night.
Before she took what was mine.
