Happy Halloween! (a day late cause i only saw it just now)

About Them Halloween 👀👻

First, the whole family goes Trick-or-Treating in the small town closest to the compound. 🎃

Sophia typically dresses up as either a fairy or a mermaid (that's literally it for ten years) and this year she decided to go as a mermaid so Isaac could be a pirate. Tony and Stephen invited Isaac's new friend from school, Irene, along, who followed Isaac's example and came as a pirate as well. They put Nora in her teddy bear onesie and call it a day.

To fit the theme, Peter goes as Peter Pan and MJ joins them as Wendy. She's not for dressing up so simply putting a ribbon in her hair and wearing a nightgown is perfectly enough for her. Similarly, Harley goes as Smee which is basically just a striped t shirt and a red hat and sticks close to Isaac and Irene. Ned on the other hand came as the crocodile, but instead of doing it cute and cartoonish, he went all out on a suit and scaly makeup and ended up looking more like Godzilla than Tick-Tock.

Stephen and Tony hang back while the children run from house to house, simply walking down the sidewalk with Nora's stroller and making sure no one gets hurt or lost, holding onto their bags and hot chocolates and drinking hot cider like typical soccer moms.

After, they go back home to watch a Halloween movie. Irene got to pick a movie as she was staying over and she chose Coraline. As Halloween was on a Tuesday they don't get to stay up too late so the evening ends there for them.

The young adults on the other hand go out into the city for a Halloween party.

The rest of the compound have their own plans ranging from parties, to staying in and watching a movie or baking to not doing anything special for the holiday.

The high-schoolers (Kate, Riri, Billy, Tommy, Cassie, Klara, and Eli) did get to throw a party at the compound, but they had to do it the previous Friday, and some of the older Juniors stayed to help decorate and provide snacks and music etc. Clint and Natasha get roped into supervising, which doesn't really mean anything as they allow them to do whatever.

Wanda and Elsa volunteered to be on call for the sorcerers - All Hallows Eve often a busy day for monsters, creatures, and dark entities - so they hang out at Kamar Taj.

Sam and Bucky went for a homoerotic Halloween in Illinois, hanging out with Sam's family and staring at each other while the other isn't looking. Steve's there too.

To end, here is a picture of Sophia because I finally watched Orphan. She's even wearing purple pajamas for me specifically (Max from Orphan, a true queen 💕)

This is my first little fic for Halloweenie, for the prompt Pumpkin Patch 🎃👻

“Come on Em…” Peter says in a slightly childish tone as MJ trails behind him.

He can’t blame her for her lack of enthusiasm. He did drag her here after a gruelling decathlon session where everyone seemed to want to ask her a million questions about everything for some reason.

“I thought this would cheer you up. Just think of all the fun carving you’ll get to do”, he says, trying to think of something that will lift her mood. He has to admit he’s looking forward to the school wide event too.

“Can I carve me stabbing Flash and then quitting as captain with a dramatic flourish?” is her response as she leans her head on his shoulder. She only burrows into him like that when she’s really tired. He loves when she gets soft and cuddly, but he also knows that it means he needs to turn his boyfriend skills into high gear. His girl needs him.

That’s where he comes up with the idea to carve a black dahlia and a heart into his pumpkin tomorrow morning. As well as cuddling her back right now, of course.

I’m not sure what this alludes to but I finished a halloween/campy horror thing for you. this ended up being much longer than anticipated (6k words) and has things for both thorkyrie and spideychelle.

Depending on who is asked and their feeling of self-importance, the answer will vary. Although take note: immortality does not preserve one’s health.

It must be reminded that controlling the fate of another is a direct defiance of nature—of fate, of the natural order of things, of human free will, of decay.

However, this is something Valkyrie will have to learn, the hard way.

This desire to defy is sparked the day she’s bent over her love, crying in anguish and defeat and regret, her tears falling into his dirtied blonde hair. Her fingers, beaten and bloodied, press into the tarnished armor on his shoulders. His right arm is missing, as is an eye. A creature’s enormous claw had torn a gash through the abdomen of his armor, and there’s a dark red trail connecting the opening of his chest to his blue lips from when he’d coughed up his lungs of blood.

Somewhere down the burned, battle-worn clearing, a rat gnaws on the severed foot of a comrade. There are wrists with hands still attached here, helmets with heads and eyes rolled up over there. Blood speckles grass like morning dew. A follow soldier approaches Valkyrie from behind but she swats the hand away. When her love is taken from her, intent to wrap him in cloth and prepare for a funeral, Valkyrie claws and fights to keep him near. At the least, they respect her request to fix his injuries for view.

Alternately to death and fate, which are irreversible and uncontrollable, some humans journey to attempt to deny nature, driven by the powerful emotions of sorrow, fear, or grief. They become desperate, and then blind, and then intoxicated on the false belief that they can have the ability to play God.

And Valkyrie—soldier for years with muscles and will of iron—is no exception, because she too is only human and falls prey.

It takes her less than a week to find the location.

It’s a mansion, imposing, chalk white, and appears looms numinously beneath the shade of the coloring Louisiana trees. It seems to creak and sway in the slight breeze, half breathing, half alive, and Valkyrie has second thoughts for a moment, for a minute, for the entirety of three minutes she’s standing on the porch with hands squeezing her cellphone and the wrinkled, worn piece of notebook paper containing this address—and she still wears her wedding ring, its weight continuing to feel like a pound instead of grams—until the front door swings open. The woman who answers looks utterly disinterested and entirely bored. And then she takes in Valkyrie’s oversized knitted sweater—a man’s, size large—and the dull sheen of drying, leftover tears on her face, and the glint of her ring in the high afternoon autumn sun.

The woman smiles. Her fingers curl around the white door—there are symbols tattooed on her knuckles, real agate jewels in her ears, her smile lines deep and falsifying her age. She opens the door for the widow and there’s something in her presence, in her demeanor and aura that makes Valkyrie tingle, makes her vibrate with warning and foreboding of danger danger danger.

Valkyrie swallows down her doubt. Her voice trembles as she introduces herself and her situation.
