Well the comics did a good job squandering any sympathy and shiz for dicklander, and the show too. I only feel bad for his child self. His grown ass can get attacked by rabid kryptonian dogs for all I care.

and look, i ain't gonna tell you how to feel boo, i can't obviously. i can only spew out nonsense and hope i might reach you or someone else who comes along to read my long winded bullshit.

but while both renditions are pieces of shit, i feel so much for comics homie too if not more. he's even more whoobie than show homie but gets dismissed but i digress.

throughout the story, we're made to feel *suspicious* about the claims on homelander or that his story may have more than meets the eye. ennis presents it point blank. he doesn't tell the reader how to feel about homelander, or anything, or anyone. he makes it clear how billy feels, how other characters feel, but he also certainly makes it show that things aren't quite adding up about him and billy's claim. he presents the story and lets *you* the reader feel (which is what real *good* writing does)

BUT it's framed out in a way to make the reader realize he *wasn't* this big bad awful guy he was made out to be, a piece of shit sure, but and not the real monster they were after, that billy was fuckin' wrong (like his dumb ass always is), that his end and final point in the story was manipulated, coerced by outside force, and not truly justified as a result.

leik, this guy got his WHOLE LIFE fucking RUINED, his whole self image, gaslit into fucking oblivion to *believe* he was a bad guy until he *became* a bad guy, after literally never once getting a *choice* for anything, ever, at all, at any point in his whole gotdamn life.

this boi never had a chance... and even after ALL that. people STILL want to control or punish him when he lacks one major vital thing that would warrant him *actually* deserving that.

AGENCY. fucking agency, the answer is agency, homelander has none of it, never has, and still does not have it. (he pretends to but it's not quite the same, the lack of it is what makes him a ticking time bomb)

you seem like someone to really value your own agency so idk, i feel like you should get that??

just try to imagine if every single choice in your life was made *for you* by *someone else*, and that's homelander. and it doesn't stop into adulthood, it just turns into a fucking fucked up conservatorship beside someone who wants to kill you, oh yeah, and stunted growth so you never get a chance to really grow up and feel like or be your own person either.

and when a kid commits a crime, it's the parents/guardians that are brought up on charges/trial. there is a *reason* for that.

homelander's very clear lack of sanity/mental capacity and vought being his 'guardian'/conservator?? (if he even is a real legal person...) would put him under this spectrum of bullshit, and baby i don't want to say it's ableist not to acknowledge this, but...

but THAT is homelander. and uh... yeah. yeah, you'd probably lose your gotdamn mind too, i don't think ANYONE could walk out sane, realistically speaking. pain is easy to say we'd walk out clean from, and then we all turn into pussies the *second* it's our turn to deal.

and the whole point of the twist is to rob you of any satisfaction of his death and make you angry at his circumstances rather than at him. again, ennis doesn't explicitly *tell* readers how to feel because it's more of a graphic novel but...

i personally think the show is aiming to recreate this effect because if they can pull it off (and manage to make an entire population feel like utter ableist shitheads for wanting him dead), then they'll be pulling off some kinda magical MAJOR amazing heist of the feels for the ages that will *hopefuly* be enough to push society in some better directions than its current state (man, we really could not have asked for a better time for this series... holy shit--)

as much as it pains me, *this* was why he was killed in the comics. not just for... ugh, sadness, realism... but because it was *part* of the lesson in exemplifying what was actually wrong.

Soul Eater characters and their MLP Gen 4 equivalents

i will be disregarding all ships and familial relationships for this purely because it would make it WAY too complicated and this is my silly little haha. i already put too much thought into it, i cannot burden my mind with the restraint of familial and romantic relations.

first up, the main 7 characters. starting with the one who inspired this all:

Maka as Twilight Sparkle

she's got the wings, she's got the book smart, she's got the power of friendship on her side, it's perfect. this was all started b/c while rewatching the anime, we joked that Maka's dubbed voice sounded like Twilight. this one is the strongest comparison, it gets worse from here.

Soul as Spike

no offense to Soul, but he's usually secondary to Maka most of the time. snarky, sassy, and often asking questions. also, his name is Spike, Soul's got spiky hair, it makes sense.

Black☆Star as Rainbow Dash

cocky, proud, super strong, fast, and blue!! a lot of their development revolves around like valuing other people (Black☆Star is more about like,,,, becoming his own person but y'know) also they both have scratchy voices.

Tsubaki as Fluttershy

calm and mild mannered, but also on occasion has the ability to go apeshit. befriends someone who is quite strong and obnoxious that most characters find annoying.

Death the Kid as Rarity

obsessive about appearances and has a particularly fancy way of talking. pale?? distinctive hair. makes sense.

Patty as Pinkie Pie

no explanation necessary.

Liz as Apple Jack

older sister figure! blonde and realistic, kinda tough and used to having to work for stuff (though Liz doesn't have to do it too much anymore now that she and patty are chilling w/ Kid) also, AJ was the only one left of the mane 6 lol.

Crona as Princess Luna

obviously the moon connection, duh. dark aesthetic, doesn't understand other people, and gets kinda possessed by madness!! which leads into my next choice

Kishin Asura as Nightmare Moon

evil!! but also because they were a bit misunderstood. spreads their powers across the entire world. possesses someone who is also part of them. lives on the moon.

Lord Death as Princess Celestia

tall and a god figure, but also kind of royalty? super OP but also we barely get to see them fight or use their powers ever so that our lovely main characters can be the ones to defeat the big bad. questionable morals at times.

Stein as Discord

crazy ass bitch!! tall and a slightly concerning amount of people simp for them. looks stitched together, stuff sticking out of their heads.

Marie as Princess Cadance

Ox as Snips

weird hair,,,,,,,,,,

Harvar as Snails

tall?? Harvar's a spear so he's tall by default. he's also gold-ish when he's in weapon form so that counts, also pointy b/c unicorn and spear.

Jackie as Octavia

Jackie has to be Octavia b/c her name is based off of cellist Jacqueline du Pré and even though Jackie doesn't play cello, this is who she must be to fulfill her destiny. also, they both have dark hair.

Kim as DJ Pon 3 (Vinyl Scratch)

gay. unicorn, so she has magic like a witch

Kilik and the Pots as the Cutie Mark Crusaders

there's three of them and they are inseparable. do not separate them. Kilik can be Sweetie Belle b/c he's standing in the middle.

Sid as Big Mac

man of few words. super strong and ,,,,,,, angular?? idk they're both kinda blocky. sad eyes,,,,,,,, UNDERRATED.

Naigus as Zecora

doctor!!! also if i was a pony, i would have a crush on Zecora. i have a crush on Naigus. this is my reasoning.

Medusa as Chrysalis

evil. weird and confusing hair!! dark aesthetic with one accent color. insanely manipulative, undeniably slaying.

Arachne as The Storm King

this one comes as a suggestion from Tumblr mutual (and my literal current college suite mate) @xaltiide she says that this guy is "the big bad" but isn't doing Most of the bad stuff in comparison to the other villains.

and finally, my grand finale

Giriko and Justin as Flim and Flam

they suck!!!! they suck SO BAD!!!!!!!! and they're evil. HORRIBLE.

Ah, I do love seeing bad takes in the fandom. For the first one, does she really deserve applause when she only left after there was nothing left for her in the horde? She had so many choices to better herself beforehand but chose to do it only after the rebellion was quite literally her only choice. For the second one, I'm pretty sure most catra antis didn't attempt to kill their sister 2 times and abused their sister for years. She literally committed war crimes. She's not some kind person. For the last one, we know abuse victims can break the cycle. All the antis I've seen love Adora and she's an abuse victim people seem to forget that. Also we aren't saying Catra doesn't deserve love?? We just think she shouldn't of date her sister whom she abused for years.

Religious discussion under cut 💜

oh my word I LOVE this question!!! first off: HI!!! You might know this already, but maybe not — I just want to assure you are literally so, so adored by Jesus and nothing you do or choice you make or person you marry is EVER going to change that. if you want the love, it’s yours.

personally, I don’t think of it as a balancing act. Being queer is just a part of who I am. It’s part of how I was created, and because my faith is somehow present in everything I do/who I am, it’s also present in my queerness. I used to be really scared to try and step out of the just-stay-celibate-and-dont-talk-about-it-and-you-won’t-go-to-hell box, because then I’d need to deeply examine my beliefs on organized religion, the Bible, and God. There came this moment when I realized I’d rather die then spend my entire life scared and running from something that I was supposed to love. I just didn’t want to be scared anymore. Even if at the end of all my research it turned out the conservative Christian’s telling me I was going straight to hell were right — I just wanted to know. I didn’t want to be scared anymore.

so I started researching. this is something I’d highly reccomend you do on your own, too, so you can draw your own conclusions! But what I found was that there was no definite place in the Scriptures which condemned homosexuality and that a sizable amount of the scholarly community did not chalk up to being an interpretation or translation error (or purposeful homophobic manipulation of scripture.) also, Jesus never talked about it. He did have quite a bit to say about people who ignored their own sins and selfishness to try and block other people from the kingdom of God, however.

if anything, my faith helped me come to terms with my queerness and help me find queer joy knowing I was divinely created to live in joy and without shame. I know it can feel horrific to exist particularly as a queer teen in a lot of Christian spaces, but hang in there!! There are absolutely lovely queer affirming churches. Also, don’t be afraid to step away from organized church space if it’s harming you. There are seasons of faith that are meant to be solitary, and they are no less powerful!

so honestly ? My advice would just boil down to stop listening to what other people are saying and look really closely into YOUR relationship with God and how YOU feel about that independent of others. It’s a journey for a reason — explore! Think deeply! Talk openly, meditate, dance in your bedroom (as strange as this sounds, I’ve found it to be one of my greatest acts of joy and appreciation and therefore worship.) you are so incredibly loved and valued and you are not ‘giving into the dark side’ or whatever other bullshit conservative Christian’s would have you believe. Biblically, there is a special love for those who are outcast from traditional religious circles or shamed for being ‘different.’ I’m so proud of you for your entire journey to get here!!! There’s so many amazing things ahead :))

hey so previous anon again. So basically I really like this demo so far, I think it's a really cool premise, I really like the characters and overall think it's really well written. However I kinda have some concern about the way it seems who dies will be handled.

I know that you've said there's the possiblity of adding in the ability to swap a character you want to romance for a substitute victim, but I feel like that still isn't a great solution, as it means if someone gets unlucky and their choice of RO gets killed off early, they're pretty much locked out from taking things slow (or at least as slow as you can in a dating show murder mystery), and also means if you can't decide you might only have like one or two chapters to make that descision. Like for example if I know I want to romance [REDACTED] or am deciding between multiple people including them, I basically only have 1 day to decide if I want to romance them and start romancing.

So getting to my actual question. Have you considered giving the player more control over who dies? Either in like a direct "You find a body, it's [insert choice]" or a more indirect way, where like your actions determine who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I realize it's probably a dumb question and the answer is yes, but I figured it probably couldn't hurt to ask.

(Also sorry if you've answered this here before, I tried looking but couldn't find anything, or if I misunderstood how something about the variable deaths would currently work.)

Also not part of my original question but something that has since popped up on reread. Would it be possible to add an option to skip the beach date in chapter 3? Like the way I'm playing my character, I feel like her response would be "I don't care if the show must go on, I literally just saw someone die, the only way your getting my there is by physically dragging me (though version of the date where you've been physically dragged along and are not happy about it would also work).

to answer your first question in the fewest possible words, yes i have considered it, but i don't think it's really feasible for me to achieve as a solo dev.

in order to have any victim be able to be one of many different characters, the amount of variation that would follow to account for who is and is not still present would be really enormous. body count is already a story that hinges on variation (at least, i think that's one of the cool things about it, others may feel differently lmao) and i just think that further complication would make it so incredibly challenging to actually complete. i've talked before about possibly going back when i have a completed first draft of the story to add in some amount of variation (i.e. one character that could be swapped in for any one death, most likely), but even that isn't a given.

as for your second question, there is already a way to skip the beach dates, but it depends in your choices in the conversation with avery. i could definitely reframe it so a sadder MC also has the option to stay behind, though - i think that would probably make sense for quite a few MCs. my main concern with avery just letting them go straight back to their room would i guess just be that the chapter would feel very short? idk - i'll definitely ruminate on it, though.

the closest i’ve gotten to crossover is sneaking shadow and bone characters into SOC fics! or like, the most subtle of references and cameos when I need random OCs like Easter eggs

a few times but i’ve always been vindicated by the fact they’ve never been well done? like it's always been word for word plagiraism (and also the ao3 abuse team is very good at taking things down)

never finished one but i’ve got 2-3 wips being co-written with my girlfriend atm 😊

Themes and foreshadowing I think!! Like running themes for sure but I've had definitive compliments on my plotting before! I also think I'm pretty good at dialogue, especially arguments, and narrative tension/feelings! 👀

i am not very good at cutting my darlings which means things get a bit meandering and diluted sometimes 😅

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i can get behind it in certain circumstances! personal preference is to translate large chunks of text ie "'[English words],' he said in [language]" but I do write individual words like pet names in other languages

19. First fandom you wrote for?

fucking hetalia when i was like, 12 🫥 but i have also in past written for: homestuck, haikyuu, yuri on ice, the adventure zone (balance & graduation) and (CONSTANTLY forget this) miraculous ladybug! some of which are better than others ngl 😅

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

well this is like asking me to pick children & is also cruel when i have 230 of them klajdsfsadjfk UHHH? i mean this is wicked cheating but im really attached to the bridgerton au i haven’t actually finished yet! it’s fully written, but needs editing, and one that i really really like!! in terms of fics i’ve POSTED, i really like “not just girls” (trans egg wylan), “you yearn to feel no hunger” (SAB-verse coda/character study) and a real deep cut, “only imaginary people disappear to peru for ten years” (missing scene from the lost future of pepperharrow)! idk i like a lot of the fics i’ve posted which is a nice position to be in 😅

@archonsabyss AHHHHH i received your ask and i saw it during work but i wanted to give a proper breakdown of it!!! i'm also doing it here that way i can like, respond to specific paragraphs easier and so it's easier to follow ;laskdjf;asldj

everyone, this is about to be an in depth break down of "As You Wish," a knight!Price x fem!princess!Reader one shot i made for a challenge, so if you haven't read it there's tons of spoilers so beware! anyone interested in a big breakdown of this story, feel free to read but it's a mess because i cannot keep a coherent thought.

anyways.... let's begin

First off, I'm so so so glad someone liked that line about the stars!!! Because like, when I wrote it i was thinking about how we humans will look at this vast expanse of stars and are like "i gotta name these bitches" or we'll force ourselves to group up stars to name them rather than just name them one by one (probably because we would quite literally run out of names....) and i'm just AHH so happy :3

As for Price calling reader princess that was lowkey fan service within itself al;skdfj Like??? Him just saying that in that fucking husky ass voice of his like??? But you are, of course, the princess so what else is he going to call you???

And YES the chin tilt i just mmmm i'm a whore for that, sorry. Slut alert, but the slut is ME.

If I am being honest, I held back on the violence a LOT. Like, I wanted to go into depth about Eilra's death, about everyone being slaughtered, how Price was covered in the gore of it, how the bodies radiated heat you could see the steam from.... you get the point. HOWEVER the whole line of "look at me" and Price trying to protect the princess from seeing the gore? From seeing her friend slaughtered? 100% way better than the angst. I mean it still is angst but you get me.

AND YES "feed you by my own hand, if I must." Like him just being so violently caring? If that makes sense? You're literally the whole reason he even was traveling to Draewen, and he's not going to just let you die because you can't force down food ):

Whenever I wrote that Price smiled, just know I was imagining him smiling like this:

you know like that tired smile??? Tell the man to sleep and he's like, well I guess I don't have a choice and he's just smiling like AGHSD:KJF

Also, I'm SO GLAD THE PACING WAS OKAY. i was like who is gonna read a near 9k word fucking fic in one sitting the pacing has to be GOOD and i was so worried I was going to loose people with it getting boring but AHHH

and YES the constellations!!! I have such an in depth idea about the gods and their meanings and their interactions with this world that i just... obviously couldn't put in because i might as well write a whole ass story at that point lmfao.

also just know everything that price does that is charming is all me, bb ;) (negative rizz) ((totally didn't spend like 2 hours straight of thinking per line of dialogue....)

LMFAO i just imagine you as a genie now lmfao. but lowkey when I write i think about it like a movie. like the way the camera angle is, how the lighting is, the expressions, etc. So i try and catch those small details as best as i can ): like her noticing he's not married (no necklace) him comparing her to the goddess of beauty (not the same thing as comparing her to Aphrodite she's not gonna receive wrath or anything lmfao) and just UGH i love these idiots.

And even in the beginning, refusing to call him by his title, using his name like any other person would, trying to show equality between them and just UGH. if she thought he would do it, she'd tell him not to call her by her title too (but he could never!!!!)

it says 52 but there's actually a lot more due to orphaning/anon-ing things.

pretty sure this is just cus it's the oldest fic i have since the account reboot because it absolutely does not merit being anywhere near the top 10 lol it's just a 5+1 about other mando being obvious (it's anon'd cus i got bored of a load of my fics and didn't want them as part of the emptyhalf canon anymore)

we don't do that here. i guess maybe if you dig into the far distant past then it was probably i'm not just a fuck up, i'm the fuck up you love which is 18k words of jev not really getting over daniel that ends on a sort of optimistically blasted-open note.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

most of them are happy but probably actually pick me up, no headlights where george and max end up with their weird little family worked out and the kids are doing well, y'know

no i don't think enough people read them to beef me lol

hahahaha oh yea. i like to think i write something along the lines of realistic queer sex, with the way that means it's mostly kind of funny and sometimes awakward and isn't elegant or arch or even particularly romantic except that you're getting to do it with the person you do it with. writing lando and oscar being straight with each other, even if it's in a cringe fail way, made me realise i really do not write straight people and i feel a bit like one of those painfully hetero actors who does a gay kissing scene and talks about how they had to get themselves in the mindset by watching the l word or whatever haha. what do straight people do? who are they?

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

i was gonna say no but then i remembered i wrote logan and oscar going ghosthunting and being kinda pass-agg horny about it because. idk? logan gave me ryan bergara vibes.

people quite often say i have a lot of emotional intelligence in my fics which is very funny to me because i am a deeply unemotionally intelligent person so idk how that's happened really.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i guess it has never bothered me so long as the reader could be reasonably expected to work out the meaning from the context.

(1) Hello to you too!! I’m very tired rn but all right 👍🏼 thx for asking!!

(2) I haven’t fully finished my lore about that but I’ll explain the parts that i have!! (This is gonna be a long one 😬)

So June (the name of the Doorman as they joined the D.D.D (officially) in June!) was abandoned by their siblings and parent when they were caught by the D.R.D (Doppelganger Research Department, a headcanon department lol) as they were the weakest/sickest among them. (another headcanon that doppelgänger’s tend to abandon the weakest family member if they are in danger or not enough food etc etc,) so the D.R.D only managed to catch June.

June, thinking the D.R.D was gonna kill them, literally panicking, offered them a truce (kind of? Idk how to word it). The offer was they would give any information they know about doppelgangers and that they would hunt for them (they were still kinda pissed off cuz they just got abandoned by their family and honestly shitty life(the weakest tends to get neglected) ) In exchange for their life and food (regular meat ofc) etc.

The D.R.D, who are f*cking surprised by the offer, are very suspicious but listens anyways (because this is a first time for them)

They talk some sh*t out, D.R.D informs the D.D.D, talk some sh*t with them to, and then finally both departments decides to (surprisingly) agree but with very strict conditions and guidelines and supervised and if that if they break any rules or anything then it’s straight to 💀 basically. etc etc.

Anyways after a few months of just hunting other doppelgangers (maybe a bit too aggressively/personally, they were still pissed)and building trust. They finally became the Doorman!! Yipee!!

June was honestly surprised when they were offered the job cuz they just expected to hunt doppelgangers for them, and give them info or something but around that time the doormen kept messing up cause alot of them were quitting cuz it was mentally draining etc. (basically alot of problems)

So the D.D.D kinda had no choice but to hire them ig. Also Cuz they were prob the best at finding other doppelgangers, etc. but it was only temporary until they could fine some better solution. (They were still supervised at the first few weeks. Another doorman ((with a secret button device to call for the D.D.D if June were to do anything sus, they were serious with the conditions/rules)) was with them to teach them the basics as this was kinda a last minute hire lol)

After a few weeks of doing their job and getting to know the neighbors (and getting a bit attached) they realized they kinda liked the job so they talked to the D.D.D about it and they said “aight 👍🏼” so June officially became the doorman!! Yipee!! (This is the time where they get their name. ((They were called “the dopple” by the D.D.D, “Doorman” by the neighbors)) As one of the neighbors asked for their name during their job and said “uhh…” looks at a calendar “it’s june.” “…i’m not sure if you are saying your name or you are just saying the current month.”))

Plot: When Y/n of (add whatever,Mondstat or sumth idk game city/place just not TW) from (game of choice but not Twisted) was accidentally dragged into the universe of Twisted Wonderland by A/n,they decided that the only person who'd know how to care for such VD character like him was,of course, Idia Shroud. And also because of him bratty character design that A/n cannot stand.

A/n said as Yuuken chuckles. "Ok I'm gonna try to see if I can open a portal to Earth. You've been.. well.. suffering." A/n said as Yuuken smiled and thanked the Author while they took out supplies.

"I bought this book and I don't know if it's legit,thought it was the only one with the word "Gaia" and "Terra" referring to the same world on it. It won't hurt to give it a shot"

A/n said as they took out the needed objects for the ritual and started preparing them.

After a while,the ritual circle was written and the spell was ready for Yuuken to say repeatedly. all the book needed was..

"Local.. music?" A/n asked as Yuuken looked at the book "Last part said 'Play local music before the ritual'. What's local music?"

A/n asked "Music from our world? I guess? You should try it out. They said the portal lasts while the chanter chants the chant,what's there to lose?"

Yuuken said as A/n hummed and played some music of their world. "I know that song. Anyways,let's do this"

Yuuken said as he held hands with A/n to perform the ritual. Within 5 times of Yuuken chanting,the room lit up (fav color) with as wooshing sound and a portal appearing with an (f/c) ring around it.

With that,a leg then stepped out of said portal. "Keep chanting! Who are you?!" A/n asks the person who stepped out of the portal and Yuuken fell out of breath.

"Yuuken! Are you ok?!" A/n asked Yuuken who was panting hard. "What in (G/p)..?" The male said as he looked around and saw Yuuken and A/n on the ground

"Huh?" The man said as A/n looked and stood up "I-..?! WAIT I RECOGNIZE YOU!" A/n said as Yuuken stood up as well

"Yeah I've seen posters of him around Tokyo and Akihabra"

Yuuken said as A/n gasps "YOURE Y/N FROM (G)! Y/N L/N THE (OCC)!" A/n said as Y/n chuckled

...

"So you're telling me.. YOU ARE Y/N?!" A/n asked again as Y/n nods and drinks his tea that they made for him.

"What procedure did we.. y'know.. mess up?" Yuuken asked as A/n raised their shoulders. "Procedure?"

"We are Earthlings! We're from Earth,not Twisted Wonderland. We were both teleported here for certain reasons and also can't get back home for certain reasons"

A/n said with an awkward chuckle as Y/n hummed to show interest.

"A/n cha-.. sensei.. I came to return your Highschool Dx--"

And then,Idia came in.

"*Gasp* IDIA! Best timing! Look who we just pulled from another realm!" A/n said as they picked up Y/n and placed him infront of Idia.

"Wait--..?! WHAT?!"

"IS THIS REAL?!"

"Y..yes.. why is that so--"

"I'M A HUGE HUGE FAN! I WAS JUST FINISHED WITH COMPLETING YOUR CHAPTER!"

"... Cool.. uhm. So I'm a video game character from Earth which A/n happens to have a copy of the game and now most-.. how do you pronounce it.. Inihide? Whatever dorm with blue fire, is now playing it and is very popular amongst them?"

Y/n tried to summarize. "Tama(correct)! And my gakusei, Idia Shroud, here is such a huge fan that he purchased the manga copy from me"

A/n said as Y/n looked at Idia. He was handsome. His yellow eyes, blue fire-like hair, his blue lips and the way he looked at you as his hair starts turning red.

"I'm sorry,are you short tempered? Your hair is turning blue and I indicated it with hatre--" "NO! n-..no.. I'm not angry.. I uh. If I was angry,my hair would be going everywhere.."

Idia said as Y/n smirked. After Idia finished his sentence, Y/n grabbed Idia's face by his chin with his index and thumb.

Turning the Ignihyde dormwarden's hair pure red and well as his face. Y/n saw his behaviour and couldn't help but chuckle.

"So,my thesis is correct. Your hair turns red when flustered. How cute"

Soon,A/n and Yuuken managed to make a portal back from Twisted wonderland to (G/u).

"I'll be sure to visit again tomorrow,same time as earlier. Idia is very fun to.. mess with"

and with that, the portal closed. Idia couldn't believe what happened. He was just delivering back his Highschool DxD comic and then saw THE Y/n L/n!

"Wow.." Idia mumbled "He's such a bitch--" "A/N!" Idia shouts at the author "That's NOT NICE! He's a/an (OCC)!"

"Yeah but personality wise--" "AT LEAST HE HAS A PERSONALITY! A ROCK COULD HAVE MORE PERSONALITY THAN YOU!"

And on that note,Idia storms out the store.

"And that's why you shouldn't insult anyone's favourite video game character husbando"

Months after that,Y/n has been coming back and back to Twisted Wonderland in between his jobs since he found that it was really fun messing with Idia. Of course,he didn't forget about A/n, Yuuken, and Ortho. He loved them as well since they made his miserable life in one dimension better.

"Do you want me to take you to your boyfriend's or what?" A/n said as soon as Y/n entered the portal

"Very funny,oldie. Though I'd.. appreciate it"

Y/n said with a chuckle

"Idia can't stop blabbering about how much of a sucker he is for your teases. 'he gives off bratty vibes' he said."

A/n said as they took their broom and headed outside with Y/n

"Maybe I should be a brat?"

and with that,the two flew off.

Y/n made his way to Idia's room,although he felt a weird feeling. He wasn't usually this hesitant when entering his ro since he's done it multiple times,although why now?

Brushing it off his shoulders, Y/n twisted the door handle and was met with Idia who was mindlessly spinning in his gaming chair with a 'You died' title screen displaying on his monitor.

"Lmao,noob"

Y/n said as Idia jolts in shock. "You scared me" he said as Y/n closed the door and locked it. "Need help?"

"No.. I uh.." "I sense your stress,I'm good with massages" Y/n offered as Idia's hair turned a bright shade of red.

"Pfft- it's just a massage. Get over there" Y/n said as he sat down on Idia's bed and pulled him by his chair and started massaging his shoulders.

While doing so, Y/n can't help but giggle "What's funny?" Idia asked as he turned to fully face Y/n

"you weren't here last time I came here. And you left your PC open. And coincidentally, it was showing a little sketch with you and me on bed"

Y/n said as he slowly inches closer to Idia's face "W-what- what do you-!"

"You know what I mean. Does the thought of me being under you ring any bells?"

Y/n said as he placed his hand on Idia's thigh,dangerously close to his.. area.

"I.. uhm.. I didn't think you'd-- ahn~!"

Idia was cut off by Y/n lightly grazing his hand over his clothed hard on.

"W-what- are you doing?!"

"Panel 1,I slowly start to Palm you through your pants."

Y/n said with a chuckle at the end as Idia pinned him to the bed in one swift move.

Y/n smirked as he cups Idia's cheek and he leans in to kiss his blue lips. Y/n's hands start to wander off into places.

From Idia's chest down to his crotch. Idia pulls away as Y/n starts to remove his pants slowly.

Idia growing inpatient by the second,he pulled how pants and boxers down before doing the same to Y/n.

(ToT) Anyways sorry, again lmk if these types of asks r annoying and I will cease. I never would've guessed Remi was a wolf chimera, I LOVE that! Is there a more animalistic side/transformation (like how the other fellas in BH)? Do you have a pic? Did remi have the white/silver hair before chimera or was that a side effect? Was wolf chosen during the military experimentation or was it just "alright we can make you any kinda chimera, you might get something cool like a wolf or spider or something lame like idk a literal duck." How/why did Remi get in the military? I read a bit on your SI blog; what kinda alchemy do they do? What inspired the design? I REALLY love the look of your OC because it's like...they fit in seamlessly? I also rarely see OCs with glasses so I guess I'm just intruigied by the design choice ahaha. I've considered if I should make it a side effect!! I never delved into it but when I conceptualized it, it had been a result of the chimerafication

Tbh we don't exactly know how the animals were chosen, but Heinkel and Darius and a Lion and Gorilla respectively, so it felt right- with both being considered sort of "top tier" if their animal class, a wolf felt like it slotted in with them. And they are the chimeras that don't take issue with being chimeras! So it felt right to associate w them.

I had originally conceptualized them as a plant specialist in alchemy, probably somewhat similar to the Tringham Brothers in 03, but I've never fully fleshed out that part bc im still unsure. It was part of the Ishval route. But as for the reason behind the military, that's mostly because Amestris is a military nation and the best way to success is thru the military, especially as a state alchemist! It's a bit shallow, intentionally.

As for the design, I tried to make them look as close to me as possible! My hair isn't quite as long anymore, and my glasses are silver instead of gold now, so I've considered updating the design but never got around to it! There's also that long time skip (idk like 6 months) in between promised day and events prior, so I've considered updating it and associating it with promised day in lieu of that

The glasses admittedly are bc I do wear glasses! I guess I could have taken them off but like, I take pride in being a megane character and I think those traits add to my oc/si as well ((:

TY!!!!!! I know ofc canon compliance isn't Obligatory but I rlly did want it to feel very Natural and In Line with the series, as much as I could. I wanted any degree of seamless believability, that could be adapted at a moments notice. It's just part of the fun fr me... trying to fit into the rules as close as possible as an outline for all the character and design choices... so I'm rlly glad that it paid off !!!

oh god i’m so sorry this took me so long, things got crazy for a second and i forgot 😭 thoughts below!

here (1, 2) are a couple posts that seem pretty helpful, but now i’m just gonna talk about what helped me with my last bout of writer’s block because i can still remember it in detail

again this is all just my own observations about myself because that’s kinda all i have—i’m no expert

i had too many other things going on and i did need to cut down on other hobbies a bit (in this case, i had to cut down on rp) because those other things all were...relatively small tasks and they took less time, so my brain would often go “hey what about this short and rewarding task vs this long and intimidating task?”

which goes hand in hand with training your focus—i think my phone really does impact that in a bad way. reading books helps with training focus, as does muscling through. i know muscling through goes contrary to a lot of advice, but it helped me. because a lot of times, i would start writing a scene and go, ‘wow, i hate this!’ but knowing that i didn’t have another idea of what to do, i just kept going until i realized why it felt wrong. and there were like...four or five different breakthroughs like that when i was writing my latest chapter. just ‘OHHHHHHHHH’ moments that i got to only after writing like a thousand or more words that i would not end up putting in the fic. it is NOT always like this but if you’re really blocked, sometimes it’s just cause you’re writing a genuinely emotionally complicated and crucial bit and your brain has to go down the wrong path a few times before it figures out the right one

part of that is figuring out what you feel about your current scene? like, sitting down and writing a certain scene, i would go, ‘no, this feels wrong, i don’t like it, i hate it’ and sure enough my instincts were right. it WAS bad. it was bad because it focused too much on the logistics and details of a side plot when i didn’t want to waste all that precious real estate and audience attention on something that was not connected to the core of my story. but i didn’t fully realize that till i was done. it was still good that i’d written out the long version, because it laid out all the information i needed (plus a bunch i didn’t, but still). idk. i love editing more than writing on a blank page. i love cutting more than i love creating. this may be a me thing.

could also be something went wrong earlier on, like your actual scene idea is quite good but you didn’t lay enough emotional or plot foundation for it to hit as hard as you want it to? reread your previous bits of fic and see if you can find the problem there?

i think peer pressure and/or friendship are huge for this—i don’t mean peer pressure as in ‘silly anti-drug advertisements where all the cool kids try to make you do weed’ i mean ‘hanging out in a community of writers & artists and/or with friends where there’s an atmosphere of people lowkey always working on their craft, whatever that may be’. because truly i think it helps keep writing top of mind & sort of normalizes the emotional struggles. plus the camaraderie is really nice!

my current home of choice is the narcos fandom discord (which is only about 25% about narcos fandom at this point lbr) but i know there’s a ton of different places out there to be a fic writer in community with other fic writers, so take your pick. i will say that not every community is perfect and i think the ideal community strikes a balance between participation & low stress—that is, people support each other but they don’t feel like they have homework-reading they have to do that they’ll get penalized for not doing? yk? i’m rambling whoops

plus, getting a friend that is willing and HAPPY to talk through the fic with you—an editor, a beta reader, something like that—is a godsend. truly without bellinitini/narcolini i would literally not have even published chapter one of my current longfic. but the key is to find someone who genuinely is interested or who is willing to do a bit of a swap; you help them with theirs, they help you with yours.

and then there’s the audience for longfics, which may or may not apply to you. cannot lie, rereading comments, even for previous fics that are unconnected, is extremely motivating! maybe that’s just me! (i don’t think that’s just me) on that note, if you’re feeling real desperate you can always reblog ask games about your WIPs so that you can interact with your audience a bit?

you could always try to take in more art—that’s usually pretty refreshing for me. canon review is great, but taking in other stuff (fictional books especially) can make your brain start thinking in different ways, especially if your brain is a bit spongy like mine and tends to absorb little bits of other writer’s styles if you chug a lot of them. you could try to find books that deal with the same setting, the same themes, or the same relationship dynamics.

so for example, i read colorless tsukuru tazaki and his years of pilgrimage by haruki murakami in prepping for my next chapter of richiefic because richie references it in season 2. and genuinely, reading it made me understand his character a bit better. but i also have a character going to prison, so i have read some of the works of george pelecanos (the novel drama city and several short stories), because pelecanos deals with the justice system in a way that i think is admirably clearsighted, not melodramatic, very honest. i’m fixing to reread some of the parade’s end series because ford madox ford is, to me, one of the greatest of all time when it comes to complicated conversations where two characters are completely legible to the audience—completely understandable—while struggling through emotionally complicated conversations with each other. and i am about to try and get some more books set in women’s prisons + books set in modern day chicago. reading stuff with the context of “i’m about to write something related to this” is such a good way to read stuff, too. just feels really good and sometimes you need a positive feeling when you’re struggling through the depths of depair i mean writer’s block.

movies and tv are good too, though imo they’re not as helpful. i...personally avoid reading other people’s fanfic like the plague if they’re dealing with a specific pairing whose longfic i’m struggling to finish.

just putting it down and coming back in two-three weeks sometimes helps. couldn’t tell you why.

and finally. you could always drop the fic. it feels shitty for a while, but if the muse has genuinely left you for good, you deserve to enjoy the freedom instead of just like...struggling onwards indefinitely. this has happened to me with longfics before and it always makes me sad. but sometimes there is genuinely nothing you can do, and in those cases, forgive yourself <3 this is a hobby, after all

my top three recommended tactics, without knowing details of your situation, are: talk with a friend/editor, take in more art, muscle through. in that order.

So! Tell me about Aurora! Did they have a life before the Urge came calling? How has their journey been through the game? Are they romancing anybody or do they have any other significant bonds?

I hope you don't mind, but I decided to split this into two posts. You asked about her journey through the game, and suddenly I had written 1400 words that didn't fit with the rest. So uuh yeah, here's the first and the last question at least!

I'm still a little unsure about her life before the Urge. There's the few "canon" things we're given through bits of dialogue (like murdering their parents as a child), but I honestly don't tend to get too caught up in canon if I want to do something different.

She had a lot of nightmares as a child (thanks dad), and it made her a very skittish and nervous child. In combination with minor Urges which made her say and sometimes do off-putting shit, I imagine she wasn't exactly a social butterfly. Like once she probably bit someone when the Urge overtook her, but bc they were baby urges and she was like 6-years-old it didn't really do much but alienate her.

But I think she was otherwise a good kid, doing her best and loved by her adoptive parents, even if they probably worried about her a lot.

I kinda like the idea of her being slightly older, someone who briefly escaped her heritage due to Bhaal's death before he returned in full, and the Urge became too strong to ignore. To have the Urge hovering around in the background her entire life, but always being able to repress it, until she suddenly couldn't.

Idk there's just something to the tragedy of being so close to escaping your predestined fate, when in reality it was always going to end like that, on way or another. You never truly escaped anything, you simply just delayed the inevitable.

She could still have murdered her family, still living with her adoptive parents and possible siblings, or maybe she had her own family by then. Either way, Bhaal would have wanted them out of the way.

The Urge building and building, sending her flip-flopping between moments of bloodlust and lucidity filled with fear, until the Urge took her away completely.

(Would the Urge even work like that for any of this? Who cares, just gonna do as Larian does, my city now).

TL;DR: I don't even know, it's still stewing in there.

Though I've watched like every Durge related video on YouTube, I haven't actually played very far in Aurora's playthrough, mostly bc I'm waiting for Larian to stop breaking the game with every new patch 🙈

Meaning I haven't actually had a lot of time with her interacting with the companions and gotten a good feel for where they're at.

Wyll and Shadowheart are possible candidates for some at least surface level boding. Like Wyll's whole "self sacrifice for the good of others" thing, and with Shadowheart they both have been brainwashed and forced into cruelty in service of an evil god.

And Karlach bc I love her and I said so.

Maybe some more interesting dynamics will pop up once I really get in there with her 🤔 (Larian fix your shit already, I want to plaaay)

There's also Jay who's already wrangling every other companion and their problems, so I'm sure he'll have some fingers in her pies too eventually (it's what he does, after all).

The only solid relationship to have formed in my head as of yet is her romance, and bc I'm as original as a pair of earbuds from AliExpress, she eventually starts a thing with Astarion.

He initially sees her as an easy target, a shy and possibly meek person quite literally removed from the others at camp (a deliberate choice on her part), but it doesn't go quite as he had planned.

I've written a whole post about it that's hanging out in my drafts, but tl;dr: he tries to bite her, but she wakes and angrily sends him away. She later comes to him one night, panicked after the Murder At Camp™, and he (begrudgingly) agrees to help her with the body. This begins this weird partnership where they keep each other's secret, and she lets him drink from her as thanks for helping her.

Their relationship is a bit rocky at first, like they don't hate each other or anything, but there's a fair share of bickering and such. She can be a bit blunt, and is too impatient and exhausted from the urge to deal with his very obvious mind games, tiredly telling him "stop trying to seduce me, you already have what you came for".

When he offers to sleep with her at the party, she thinks "why not". They're already putting each other at risk, so might as well have some fun with it. He might have tried to bed her sooner if she hadn't been so blunt and unapproachable, but it did also give him some time to rethink his strategy. Based on finds with the freecam during his party sex scene, he has set up a lil spot on a blanket, with wine and maybe some food, in an attempt to seem more genuine, which admittedly she does find a little cute.

Ultimately it's all the bits in between, the quiet moments after feeding or sex that gives them an excuse to talk, and they realize they enjoy each other's company a lot more than they first thought. She vibes with him a lot more when he's being genuine, something she sees more of when he's fed and generally less guarded.

She've kept her distance from the others bc of the urge, in fear of either harming someone, or being discovered through the tadpoles somehow. It puts her on edge constantly, but Astarion already knows, and she knows he doesn't judge her for it, so she's more at ease too.

Aurora can become ride or die pretty fast, especially in combination with other intense personality traits (hello devotion), and I think maybe Astarion picks up on that and thinks he can use that to his advantage. At least until he too accidentally catches feelings and becomes pretty ride or die himself lmao. Great job idiot.

Which is also when her more self sacrificing nature goes from something that could be to his advantage, to something that actively upsets him. Stop it! Stop sacrificing yourself for others who probably don't even deserve it! Stop putting yourself in situations that could take you away from me for no good reason.

They're note super lovey-dovey either. Like sure there's romance and tenderness there, but there's also some clash of personalities ("stop being an asshole" "stop trying to be such a bloody hero"). Nothing too bad but there's definitively something for them to work on.

This became the Aurora and Astarion post, sorry about that (not really). I hope to have some better answers to these in the future, my brain is still cooking (unfortunately it's a slowcooker).

in case anyone is unaware, since I’ve been looking at various toy lines all day and I’ve literally never heard anyone talk about this:

there was basically a not-quite-Shattered Glass TFP Ratchet made as part of the TakaraTomy Go! line

Unusually, he's identified as a Decepticon, complete with insignia! According to a translated version of the bio, Ratchet was captured by the Decepticons, and forcibly exposed to Dark Energon thus mutating him into a Decepticon.

I’m genuinely surprised there isn’t more fanfiction about this toyline plot, but to be fair there might be, I’m just not aware of it because if it exists it is almost certainly in Japanese and not English so idk

I find this interesting because they did Go! versions of all the main TFP Autobots, but Ratchet is the only one who got pulled over to the Decepticon side of things

the other bots all seem okay with it?? I don’t know what the full backstory is for this line up though, for some reason I’m having a hell of a time trying to dig up more details but I’ll share if I find anything-- let me know if anyone has a clue, I’ve been having asthma attacks all day back-to-back so I’m not on my A game for researching right now lmao

but I mean, it seems like there were some fun ideas here

the Go! line was kinda interesting because it introduced some fun concepts:

1) As above, Ratchet is now a Decepticon, which is a fascinating choice and honestly if they made that concept into a filler episode in TFP or some shit I would have loved to see it animated

2) They called this Go! lineup “Hunters”, although apparently it’s not specifically related to Beast Hunters in the show (or is related primarily through the use of a few re-decos from the Beast Hunters line figures)

3) Arcee is an archer, which makes sense with the Hunter theme

4) They gave Hunter Wheeljack a spear/shield combo weapon which looks like about as close to a Keyblade as they could legally get

5) They gave Hunter Shockwave a second optic but it’s on his tits

6) There is a Hunter Nemesis Prime and it fucking rules

As part of the Go! series they also made Optimus Exprime, WHICH IS AN OPTIMUS PRIME WHO TURNS INTO A BULLET TRAIN AND SOME KIND OF CYBER-DRAGON THING ???

so I mean, the Go! run had a lot going on, there were some whiffs but mostly there are a few solid ideas/designs that are pretty good

I think the Hunter Nemesis Prime looks pretty rad, check this shit out

god the TFP designs make for some kickass re-decos

also because I’m still trying to piece together any more of the storyline(s) for these figures (if there actually is any further background info, lmao),

time for some wildly speculative headcanons

I’m going to choose to believe (for now) that TFP Decepticon Ratchet is painted that actually kinda nice olive green colour because it might be trying to evoke a corrosive chemical green/yellow shade,

which would make sense as we know in TFP series canon that Shockwave is doing chemical shit in his lab all the time and of course in this scene we see Ratchet and Shockwave doing chemical shit together and it’s great

so since Ratchet’s a Decepticon in this line up, I would like to assume that Hunter Ratchet and “My Second Optic is On My Tits” Hunter Shockwave are probably hanging out and doing some high level, extremely fucked up chemical lab work while truly delivering some legendary banter that we will sadly never hear

truly love it, may or may not add this to my “extremely long list of fanfiction concepts” notebook for further development when possible

anyway this was Toy Hour, I’m sorry every single thing I post is approximately ten million words give or take a little, thank you for putting up with my shit <3
