You wanna know how to do actually good character development? Look at Rick from Rick and Morty, now people say Catra had good development but..she didn't?? She was an abusive bitch doing war crimes at the beginning and the only change she went through is that she no longer does war crimes, now let's look at Rick, to be fair, the series isn't finished yet, it's got three more seasons, BUT, let's took a quick look at his, now I could make a full post on how it's better, but I'm just going to quickfire some changes I notice and likes, *pulls out listI* Ahem, goes from not respect therapy in season 3, to going to therapy every week in season 6, goes from telling Summer "You're opinion means very little to me" in season 1 to apologizing (Albiet quietly and after she left) after he lashes out at Summer in season 7, goes from complaining whenever Morty asks Rick in making him something in season 3, to happily making whatever Morty asks for in season 7, and for my personal favorite, goes from lightly pushing Morty away when he tried to hug him in season 6, to hugging Morty back (Albiet awkwardly) in season 7, there's more but I just wanted to quickfire some of the ones I like, meanwhile Catra is literally the same throughout the entire series, she literally says the sameline she said in season 1 in season 5 "You just love feeling like a hero, don't you?!" Again, literally no development. I know Rick and Morty had more seasons, but still the lack of character development is just so disapointing.

how did the princesses make their kingdom survive for so long when they don't even have an army? friend again :3, right now i came with something i realize discussing with a friend: i think that liking a toxic character like C*tr*, Valentino and WHite Pearl ( cookie run character ) it's fine as long you know there are abusers, redflags and toxic people. I literally despite White Pearl for being an abuser but my friend made me look another way and explaine to me that it's okay liking a toxic character. The problem is when you mischaracter them saying that they are innocent because they not only mischaracterising the character but it's saying like just because they abuse doesn't mean they are pure evil and it's wrong.

C*tr* stans mischaracter their fav character by saying it's an annocent little meow meow by saying she did nothing wrong, and then they say they know her more ( they know her more my balls, they literally mischaracter her and avoid the personality that it's be an abuser and redflag ), idk if Valentino's stans do that with him but for the moment i haven't see fans deffending him.

Exactly! You can like an abuser in a tv show, it doesn't mean you like abusers in real life, for example, Rick Sanchez is my favorite character in "Rick and Morty" and I have felt sympathy for him numerous times, but I know he's a horrible person and an abuser and I don't try to say he's a poor little innocent meow meow who did nothing wrong, you can like a character who's a bad person, it doesn't mean you like abusers in real life, but what frustrates me is when they defend her to their grave and act like she did nothing wrong when that's not the case. They don't like Catra for her, they like her for the image they made of her in their head of her being an innocent sweet little meow meow

If I'm being honest with myself, I wish Valentino did not exist. It would be best to live in a world where this character and all the controversy he brings just did not happen. Is it really worth it for him to be here when his mere existence sends fans into an uproar? Most people despise him, and people who like him get relentlessly harassed in some cases. Hell, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells just talking about it

Running gags can be funny if done right, off of the top of my head, the "My leg!" running gag from Spongebob, but with Bow's voice cracking, we get it, he's a teenager, he's going through puberty so his voice cracks, got it, can we move on now?
