I hope you’re doing all right! I’d like to request yandere headcanons for Trey, Cater, Jack, Silver, and Sebek with a soft darling who clings to them for safety and trusts them too much to disagree with their actions. I hope you’re fine with this!

trey clover

trey is already a naturally doting person, and of course, this is only amplified when it comes to his darling

he takes full advantage of how clingy they are and how blindly they trust him. he really isn’t above injecting false fears or such just so they stick closer to him. really, trey’s quite thankful it’s as easy as that; no need to physically remove people from around his darling if they’re so willing to distance themselves just because he asks

even though he’s pretty sure they’d go along with anything he offered or did, he makes sure to not be rash. the last thing he wants is them questioning why he’s doing certain things- of course, trey’s end goal is to have his darling all for himself, to have them where they’re exclusively his, his perfect, obedient spouse; they just don’t need to know that quite yet

trey’s got a way with words, and his darling trusting him so naively only gives him more power. he convinces them to pretty much cut off ties with the outside world themselves

he just wants his darling to get used to him being in control. he provides all they need, he takes care of decisions, he says what’s good and what’s not- after all, that’s what lovers do, didn’t they know? good partners should listen to each other, and it’s not like he’s asking anything that outrageous, just to do as he says.

he also uses this to cover any moments when he loses his temper. his darling’s soft, gentle, but sometimes not even that’s enough; perhaps it’s been a long day, maybe it’s just school stress, and it just so happens his darling naively mentions missing their friends; when he loses his temper, yells at them, he’ll still cover it up. oh, all couples fight, it’s normal. t

hey just have to not make him anger- c’mon, they have to put in a little more effort, don’t they love him? stop talking about others and focus on him, yes?

cater diamond

gosh, isn’t his darling adorable? cater can barely believe his luck, really. he almost seems to see his darling as a cute little pet or accessory, with how he’s always taking pictures with them and dragging them along to the latest popular cafe

the fact his darling’s naturally quite clingy is good, but it also feeds on cater’s... issues. he needs them close, tell him they love him, tell him he’s good- it would perhaps be worrying (it worried them a bit at first, to see how desperate he was to be told those things), but cater always downplays it. no, no, it’s nothing, he just likes to hear them say those things! don’t stray far. stay with him.

of course, them being so trusting means cater’s got plenty of blackmail material. sure, he says he’s just “taking pictures to capture the memory”, since he always seems to be taking pictures with his darling, but really, it’s also good blackmail. he hopes he’s never going to have to use it- he hopes his darling will remain pliant and not realize the sort of trap that is cater’s love- but it’s better safe than sorry, right?

he’s pushy. very, very pushy. boundaries don’t mean a whole lot to him; if he wants something, he’ll get it. this often leads to him guilt-tripping his darling; if they love him they’ll do this for him, right? they do love him, right?

he expertly paints the relationship as perfect, both through magicam and to outsiders. everyone seems to think cater’s just a doting, maybe a bit overbearing but overall loving boyfriend, that he’s just doing the most for his darling; hell, even his own darling seems to believe it, painfully ignorant as to how ever since they started dating cater they’ve stopped talking to others, or how long it’s been since they’ve gone outside without him

jack howl

he’s protecting them. he’s just making sure they’re ok, he’s just protecting them.

jack cannot help but feel like he has to protect his darling. honestly, at first, he was quite good at controlling his obsession; hell, he didn’t even know he could feel like this until he began dating them

it’s just instinct. it’s just instinct, right? it has to be. the way they always cling to him and talk so sweetly, how they blindly trust him no matter what; he... he has to protect them. after all, they’re so sweet and trusting- what if an evil person tried to take advantage of them?

(he tells himself he isn’t that evil person. he isn’t he isn’t he isn’t. he isn’t making them stay inside because he wants them to be his. he isn’t scaring away their friends because he’s possessive. he’s just- he’s trying to protect them, right? it’s necessary. he’s just protecting his mate. right. yes. that’s all)

of course, it’s not just about protecting them. deep inside, he knows that he isn’t isolating them and making them stay with him just because he’s trying to protect them- this is... it’s not normal, but they trust him so much, so it’s- he can’t help it. they have to be his.

if it’s any consolation to his darling’s friends, who’ve long since been cut off and can only worry from the sides as they watch their friend sink beyond the point of return into jack’s possessiveness, it’s that he won’t harm them. jack may not be willing to let anyone he deems ‘dangerous’ near his darling, and he may have decided their future is to be his mate, but he won’t ever harm a hair on their head

of course, they can be fine; but really, jack’s not scared to get his hands dirty. his darling is so soft, so naive- having to get rid of “threats” is just something he has to do, right? people who try to “rescue” jack’s darling are dealt with swiftly; jack’s training isn’t just for show. what good is his strength if not to protect what is his?

silver

when people ask silver if he finds it annoying to have such a clingy partner, he’s always confused. annoyed? because his darling seeks him out for warmth and protection...? why would he be annoyed at that...?

he assumes the way he feels is normal. this... obsession, this possessiveness; it’s love, right? he asks lilia, and the fae just chuckles about “young love” and tells silver that he should just “act on his heart’s impulses”

at first, he doesn’t quite get it. he confessed to his darling, he’s dating them now, he kisses them and holds them close when he wants, isn’t he following his heart’s impulses? ... it’s not until the first time he spots a first year kid blatantly trying to flirt with his darling in the halls that he understands. his heart tells him to get rid of that kid.

honestly, silver isn’t shocked his darling just lets him do as he pleases and still stays by his side even as he grows progressively more and more possessive. after all, to him, this is just how love works, this is just how couples are- and they trust him too much to question his actions or correct him

besides, it’s not like being told this sort of thing isn’t normal would help by now. silver doesn’t let anyone close to his darling, with an exception for lilia and maybe malleus; he can’t stand the burning jealousy otherwise

he’ll often ask lilia to “watch over them” when he can’t, be it because he’s accidentally fallen asleep or he’s guarding malleus. lilia, of course, encourages silver’s darling into believing this is all fine and normal

really, as long as they go along with him, they’ll be fine. oh sure, silver has essentially stolen their life away from them: he’s taken their future, their friends, he’s pretty much made him and lilia the only contacts in their life; but they’re fine, aren’t they?

sebek zigvolt

sebek doesn’t quite comprehend love. this- this twisting, clawing emotion in his chest; is this love? is the burning anger he feels when he sees his darling fooling around or spending time with others love? is his urge to just rip them away from those other low, unworthy students and keep them to himself love?

in the end, it was always bound to end up badly. but it doesn’t help that sebek’s darling is just so trusting, so soft and gentle, feeding into his obsession

at first they don’t even question when he shyly asks for a spare hoodie, just to hold at night. they don’t question when he tells them to spend every break next to him. by the time he’s pretty much telling them to live in his dorm, sebek doesn’t have any shame in asking; he knows they’ll do what he says

it’s like if his darling is unconsciously training him to grow more and more possessive each day. little freedoms taken away still reward him with cuddles and hugs; and sure, this is just because their love language is physical affection, but sebek associates these acts with him being rewarded for his actions

his obsession runs deep enough for sebek to simply remove people who don’t seem to understand his darling is his. perhaps it’s a show of how much his obsession controls him; a retainer of malleus shouldn’t be doing this, shouldn’t just be killing students for complimenting his darling, shouldn’t be charring the corpses and burying their remains in the forest- but... the burning feeling refuses to disappear until he’s absolutely certain his darling is his alone, and nobody else’s.

at a certain point, sebek seems to be past the “honeymoon” stage. he’ll let off steam and freely reprimand his darling- he told them to not talk about other people, why do they keep asking about their classmates?! he knows by now that they’ll always apologize and beg for him to not be angry, no matter what- they’ll let him push, push, and push, until they’ve got no choice to bend the way he wants them to

- Lucifer by SHINee || First and foremost I can see him performing this, easily. Aside from that, the song is tasty and classic. Jamil is a smart attractive man that is incredibly talented despite flying under the radar. People know of him but don’t take note until they know him, similarly to this song. It goes hard and you’ve probs heard it mentioned but you haven’t experienced until you played it at 3 am, screaming your heart out. Get to know Jamil and he ain’t just “some guy”

Kalim

- Um Oh Ah Yeh by MAMAMOO || This song reminds me of the 90s/2000s and there’s something about Kalim that also does that for me. Maybe it’s the not a care in the world disposition. I can see and feel in the second verse’s rap, Kalim’s warm smile. I can imagine him grabbing my hand, telling me to chin up. The choruses make me think of simpler times. Finally, Kalim seems like he’s always having a good time just like this song

- Candy Pop by TWICE (yes i know its jp) || This song always puts me in a good mood. It makes me feel warm inside and like everything will work out. When I see Ortho, I feel the need to protect him but also can’t help but feel like everything will be okay. The peppy beat of it just makes me think about how he almost always is smiling!

The song tastes like iced tea and feels like nostalgia. When I look at Idia I see my past self and even present self. I’m afraid, I want to hide. The feelings the verses gives me reminds me of laying in bed, curled up in a jacket that hides my whole body, similarly to Idia’s. The song and Idia’s character call out to a nostalgic but soft side to a distant past I can’t recall. I want to stay with them until I can remember

- gogobebe by MAMAMOO || It’s got a lazy but sexy sound that Leona emboides. When the song picks up in the choruses it’s like it takes over your body, drowning the listener in an ocean of sensuality and playful teasing. It’s got a lil edge though too that caters to the gruff “fuck off” expression he has. I see the noise Hwasa makes at the end as the wanton but confused noise fans make as the man leaves, tail swinging after teasing them

- BAAM by Momoland || BAAM has such a sassy hyped up beat that screams a bitch that gets shit done, owns who they are, and lives life having fun. And it embodies everything I feel upon seeing Ruggie's smug smile. Even the rap bit during the second chorus has the sass and done-ness of “Leona-san! Get up!!”

- Bomb by AleXa || This song kicks your ass and so does Jack. Don’t for four seconds think he won’t beat the shit outta ya for underestimating him, similarly to AleXa and her music. The energy and the “I’ll show you” vibes remind me of this big dweeb. I would fear this man but turn to love him much like how I felt about this song as it was this artist’s first song. How do I say they just embody each other in my opinion lol

- DUN DUN by Everglow || The sass. This song screams THAT BITCH, just like Vil’s everything. The way he carries himself is personified in this song. The power the song holds reminds me of his unique magic and how intense it is. Finally, the slower bridge is mythical and light as if giving the listener a feeling like they are walking on air and plays to the softer and more feminine side of Vil

Rook

- FINGERTIP by GFriend || Everything about this song is exciting. It’s suspenseful and alluring. If this song was a person, I could clear as day see it winking, whispering “chase me.” And that is exactly Rook’s brand of teasing and games. He’s a hunter but he’s got a charming aura to him still. This song wraps both of those things into it. The dance break is Rook’s darker senses personified. Umji’s lil “OW!” is he’s cute lil remarks in french, throwing you off now and then. But by the end of the song, you’re used to them and adore them

- Crossroads by GFriend || This song feels like a long lost friend that visits you in dreams. You can practically reach out to them but just as you do, you wake up. But you’re determined. That alone reminds me of Epel’s character as a whole. He doesn’t let his cute appearance push aside his wants and needs to be this tough guy. He, like Yuju’s strong vocals at the last chorus, presses on, determined each time he gets knocked down

- Deja Vu by Dreamcatcher || Maybe I’m biased cause I’ve covered this but this song is breathtaking. The melody speaks of a long road and the fight to keep on which I feel rings true for Lilia. We don’t know his true age but it’s clear he’s been around for quite a wild and the pain he’s probably gone through is unspeakable. He has stories galore and so much experience in life. I feel this song encapsulates a lot of what can only be speculated about him

Silver

- Crème Brûlée by GFriend || the soft, sweet song is addictive and cutesy. I feel Silver gets written off or ignored often, similarly to this song on the album. Sure he may not be god or a bad bad bitch, but he has his own warmth to him. Like this song, Silver makes me wanna curl up under a tree on an August evening and just take in life, making sure to breathe for once, releasing unnecessary tension and stress.

Sebek

- Black Dress by CLC || Sebek is very interesting to me and when he blushes, my whole heart stops for a second. It’s similar to how when they build up to the chorus‘s first Black Dress and the music stops for like a split second. Sebek isn’t my favorite but isn’t my least favorite. I like him more than some though, I’d say. I’d say the same goes for this song. I love CLC, this isn’t my top song of theirs but I still like it a lot. There’s something uniform about the beat that resounds with Sebek as getting shit done in mind also. Sometimes a song just makes you think of a character and you can’t perfectly explain it

Malleus

- Pretty Savage by BLACKPINK || Yes i know t’s only recently come out as i post this, but this bad boy on replay. The beat isn’t crazy upbeat but it’s interesting. Malleus intidimates me in general cause of his aura, and while I love this song a lot rn, it was very intimidating at first. It still has some “don’t come near me” energy. The slower bridge bit calls to his stoic expression, melodic and pretty

Heartslabyul

Cater

- ICY by ITZY || I’ll be honest both Cater as well as this song were things I thought at first were just meh, okay. But as time went on both grew on me. Now that’s not the only reason though I associate this with him. The, no pun intended, ice shattering sound of the song gives me friendly popular girl that seems to be buds with 80% of the school. This is the very vibe Cater always gives me. He wants to just have a good, happy life. Also the song is a “so what? I’m hot. Get over it.” vibe like Cater

Ace

- Drama by TOMORROW X TOGETHER || Ace reminds me the guy you fall in love with in high school and you no it’s not going to last but you let yourself get taken away with. Drama feels like a soundtrack of every fun adventure Ace goes on, no matter the trouble that he may get on. It’s fun beat just brings me back to skipping school, running to my car and trying to sneak away without getting caught. The thought of Ace at my side, would shoot my adrenaline through the roof just like the high note of the song

Deuce

- God’s Menu by Stray Kids || Deuce is just ready to go swinging and that’s exactly what this song is. Elbows up and out, head down, swinging without a clue. The intensity and fire of it speaks to that fire in him. Meanwhile the prechoruses are soft and pleasant almost like it’s not the same song, alluding to that cute lil smile he has got

Trey

- REALLY REALLY by WINNER || Similarly to Ace, this song reminds me of a guy you fall for, but in college rather than high school. Everything about the song and Trey just feels right. The choruses hold your hand and fits perfectly in yours. They know what to say to make everything okay. It may not last, but you sure hope it does and will love them like it will. And while Trey isn’t my number one boy, those are the exact feelings I have about him too. Finally, the rap part reminds me of Trey’s more sadistic side, it bites and you may not think it fits entirely but the more familiar you get with them, the more both fit and you don’t mind it entirely

Riddle

- Wonderland by ATEEZ || The demanding nature of the song makes me think of Riddle immediately. It’s intense and doesn’t mess around; it wants what it wants. Riddle is a rule based person and this song is rather militaristic aesthetically. The bridge though, is so regal and breathtaking. It could stop time. Riddle, despite the kind of guy he is, is the same way. The power he holds is impressive and admirable. This description may seem kinda like I’m shitting on him and see him solely as a rule boy, but like this song, I have made respect for him and wouldn’t want to cross him

- Love Battery by Hong Jin Young but performed by LOONA on Immortal Songs || This arrangement of the song has a certain magic to it that I melt in. At the very beginning as the build up singing ‘dangsineun’ i feel like I’m being submerged in a wave, reaching to shake Azul’s hand, signing a contract. The choruses remind me of his smile, how distant but inviting it is. Daring me to fall for him. The dance break bridge reminds me of the intense eyes behind those glasses

Jade

- Love Shot by EXO || This song and Jade are both things I am fearful of but greatly intrigued by. They share a scary beat and energy that says I fear you more when you’re smiling. Please stop slowly walking towards me, you’re scaring me. But at the very same time, the choruses keep me around like how pretty I find this twin. The combo of put together, intellectual friend but could kill easily and without remorse sends shivers down my spine if I think about it for too long. The chorus of this song make me shake my shoulders that suppress a shiver each time

- WEE WOO by Pristin || I love both Floyd and WEE WOO. The song is the feeling you get going 85 down the highway. Both song and Floyd, get me excited. They feel like the weekend. That feeling of coming home Friday during high school, tossing your bookbag down, and getting ready to hang out with your best friend. It’s a relieving and exciting feeling. It’s a peppy beat that bites during the harmonies a bit. Just like Floyd. Peppy, fun, but ain’t afraid to take a lil nibble

Katsuki Yuuri

Yamamoto: Many of YoI's skaters were inspired by real-life people, and Yuuri is no exception. In Yuuri's case, I've heard about someone who is usually timid, lacks confidence and believes to be mentally weak, but once he steps on ice, turns into a competitive skater who wants the audience, the judges, and the viewers from all over the world to look only at them. I found it to be a really interesting mentality and that's where I got my idea for Yuuri from. This Yuuri stands at the edge of the proverbial cliff - and then changes through his meeting with his hero and rival, Viktor. Thanks to this meeting, Yuuri himself starts reaching for more and more, grows stronger. I find relationships with labels like "lovers" or "family" to be stifling, so I came up with these two characters that are not bound by names like that, who hold each other dear and who share a bond that would be difficult to replace. As a skater Yuuri has an individual sense of rhythm, his steps his unique weapon, but even on a solid ground, he's a great dancer. When he was young, Minako-sensei taught Yuuri the basics of ballet, and, as Viktor praises him highly, his skating feels like he is creating music with his body - it moves into dance on its own as he charms his audience.

Kubo: Yuuri is the kinda type of a glass-wearing character I draw often. (laughs) Many skaters have bad eyesight, and Yuuri too skates without his glasses. I though people would love the narrow-eyed, uneasy face he makes when trying to read his score, so I added that element, too. I aimed for a design that would be easy for Hiramatsu to draw, so instead of deciding every detail, I drew a base that would later spring to life under Hiramatsu's hands. "Change" is an important aspect of Yuuri, so I gave him a seemingly ordinary appearance instead of making an easy-to-get pretty boy. Yuuri is slightly taller than a typical Japanese person - that's because both the director and I are around 165-170cm, and we though it'd be nice if he was taller than us. Yuuri's eyebrows are in a slanted ハ shape, but turn sharp when he competes. Things that are easier to explain via animation, like Yuuri's hair growing longer as the show progresses, are also present.

Hiramatsu: I made sure he looks different during his chubby and slim phases. His best body shape would be right after "Onsen on Ice". We based Yuuri on a typical Japanese body: he doesn't have long legs, wide shoulders or a spectacular butt, but going with Kubo's drawings, I gave him long arms and bony hands. Yuuri grows about 10cm taller when he dons his skating shoes, which makes his legs look longer. Yuuri's Japanese silhouette was influenced by Yasuhiko's style, who was in charge of many of his scenes.

Viktor Nikiforov

Yamamoto: I think, surprisingly, there are many people like Viktor in the skating world (laughs). Viktor doesn't care about what people around him think of him, he thinks it’s obvious that he is the center of all the attention. Viktor acts as he pleases and through it, he believes he brings joy to others. I love it when characters like him appear out of the blue. In this case, Yuuri is the cause of Viktor's sudden appearance. Yuuri barged into Viktor's world that he closed himself in without noticing, believing he has to create all the new surprises. Yuuri offered Viktor a possibility he hadn't thought about - becoming someone's coach. Unconsciously, Viktor is lonely, without anyone of similar circumstances, without anyone he could empathize together with. Viktor didn't yearn for someone to understand him; he didn't see it as a problem, but also didn't realize how lonely he was. Yuuri is not the only one who became stronger by experiencing love - through Yuuri, Viktor learned new feelings and grew stronger.

Kubo: I challenged myself to create a character everyone would look at and find handsome, moreso than in my previous works. Viktor's hair is silver, with some lighter streaks. At first I also thought about giving him a hair that looks silver, but once you see it from up close, turns out to be blond hair with many streaks of white hair. However, I couldn't find enough information on how white hair grows on blondes so I gave up (laughs). Thinking of balancing his height with Yuuri's when they stand next to each other, I made Viktor slightly taller. I wanted Viktor's face to be recognizable in gag scenes and so gave him a heart-shaped mouth. This is something straight out of the shojo manga era of "Tokimeki Tonight" or "Ohayo! Spank" (laughs). I wanted there to be something unexpected in contrast to Viktor's usual handsomeness. That aspect of him where he worries about his receding hairline, you know, where it goes slightly above the sweet spot? I wanted the viewers to watch it with a beating heart and confuse that feeling with falling in love. A suspension bridge effect. (haha) I took heaps of inspiration for Viktor's sexiness from Stephane Lambiel.

Hiramatsu: I paid attention to the flow and quality of his hair - and same goes for Yurio. Viktor's eyebrows are straight, rarely ever turn into a mountain-like shape. Viktor's posture is beautiful and adds to his brilliance; he sports a magnificent butt and long limbs. Viktor has a confidence of an adult, but as someone still in his 20s, he can be quite childish. Viktor's heart-shaped mouth was there in Kubo's storyboards, which influenced the staff to emphasize that in the show.

Yuri Plisetsky

Yamamoto: Russia is a country where skating can change your life - the country supports its strong skaters. When I learned that some families bet on their children or grandchildren becoming famous and make them learn skating I thought there must be many children with unrelenting spirit and a will to climb up - and created a deformed version of that in a form of a Russian badboy. Yurio has many lines with swears, but there's one in ep 10 that angered Viktor when Yurio implied he is now looking after a "pig". This line goes back to my 20s - whenever I saw a pair wearing matching rings I'd think, "A pair of pigs tied with rings" (laughs). When I mentioned it to Kubo, she was like "Pigs! That's good!" and we decided to put it in. Yurio is the only one with a potty mouth in the series, so coming up with his bad boy lines was fun. Many growing skaters probably understand what Yurio said when he mentioned his time in his current body grows short. Girls change a lot during that period, but boys too have their muscles grow - it's a big burden on the body that makes it impossible to perform some moves. We tried to put as many things that Yurio can only do now as we could into the show.

Kubo: There are many elements to Yurio's design that make him popular, such as blond hair and blue eyes. He really does stand out. Looks-wise Yurio is probably most similar to Rabi from Madō King Granzort. To quote the director, there are many elements from different skaters in Yurio. The base inspiration was Yulia Lipnitskaya. When I saw her at the rink, I realized there are many different kinds of skaters and that a more mischievous character could work too. Yurio's visuals were decided on early, earlier than Yuuri's, as he is very anime-like, easy to animate. As story progresses, Yurio's hair grows longer. I wanted to express how, when you haven't seen him for a while, Yurio grows more and more beautiful. Is it Lilia who styles his hair, or is it Yurio himself?

Hiramatsu: Half of his face is covered with hair, which strengthens his expressions. It was fun to give emotions to that slightly visible eye. Yurio's body is slim, girlish, with long limbs and not much muscle. I draw him as I would draw a girl. His looks were heavily influenced by Tatenaka's style, who was in charge of many scenes as well as the skating of our model Honoka Kawanishi. Yurio has a potential to grow, outgrowing Yuuri and reaching 180cm or so.

Christophe Giacometti

Yamamoto: I wanted to create a character who would share popularity with Viktor, a character overflowing with masculine charm. I wanted Chris to have this showy sexiness in him like an ice dancer, so he's one of the taller single skaters in the series. It was so difficult to show a sexy man type of a character, as there aren't many visual symbols associated with it. I am hoping to one day establish a new frontier of male sexiness.

Hiramatsu: Chris has a sturdy body, and the most emphasized butt in the whole series. I poured all of my drawing skills into that scene where Chris grabs and lifts his butt while skating. (laughs) Until halfway both his arms and butt are raised, and then arms go up, butt goes down, which is how I showed the butt's bounciness.

Phichit Chulanont

Yamamoto: Yuuri is friends with Phichit because even if Yuuri doesn't go to him, Phichit will come to Yuuri on his own. Yuuri doesn't have to be suspicious of Phichit's motives and he doesn't show customary concern over him like Japanese people do which in turn is less stressful for Yuuri.

Jean-Jacques Leroy

Yamamoto: I created JJ because I wanted a character type that falls into a "mentally a musclehead" category. JJ entered Toronto University as a top student, off season participates in charity activities. His girlfriend is his HS classmate, but as a devout Christian, premarital sex is a no-no - they're in a pure relationship. He often says JJ this, JJ that in conversations and in general only talks about himself. Even if he nods with understanding as someone speaks, he soon butts in and changes the topic to himself. JJ talked to Otabek in ep10 because he found it sad that his old rinkmate was alone - couldn't leave him out of kindness of his heart. Even when people find him overbearing, JJ believes he is doing a good deed, so it doesn't bother him.

Hiramatsu: JJ could be considered a good catch if he just shut up. (laughs)

Otabek Altin

Yamamoto: First, I wanted a Kazakh skater to be a dark horse of the GPF and that's how Otabek was born. There are many Russians in Kazakhstan and Russian is the official language so I thought Otabek could easily be friends with Yurio. Some Kazakh skaters are known to train in Russia, so the bit where Otabek participated in Yakov's camp and became fascinated with Yurio came to me naturally. We created many qualities that Yurio finds cool in Otabek outside of skating - such as riding a bike and DJing.

Lee Seunggil

Yamamoto: All Seung-Gil does is training, and has no interest in things beyond skating. To create a contrast with his personality, for his SP, I went with a passionate mambo. The idea to have him count his score as he skates during competition came from Kubo.

Hiramatsu: Because of his personality, I always draw him alone in the back of group images, but he still looks into the camera. (laughs)

Michele Crispino

Yamamoto: To protect his sis, Michele tries to be threatening to scare off others. This doesn't work on Emil, so they're on good terms.

Kubo: As an Italian who cares about appearance, I made him look like he visits a hairdresser once every two weeks. But I also wanted to add something non-Italian to him, hence the pretty dark personality.

Hiramatsu: Michele also would be a good catch if he shut up.

Emil Nekola

Yamamoto: Emil is rarely scared and there is nothing two-faced about his personality; he doesn't feel too down when he makes mistakes which means he can still grow and become strong.

Kubo: I googled "Czech, male" and based Emil on one of the first pictures I found. At the beginning Yamamoto was talking about making Emil the most handsome out of the European skaters, but I completely forgot. (haha)
