”Shinobu! Do you know where my uniform is?” Shinobu looked at her door and back at the letter she was writing to Ubuyashiki, contemplating which one was more important to prioritize.

’Oh the hell with it’ setting down her pen she walked out into the hallway. Taking turns to where she assumed she heard your voice.

”Ah there you are Shinobu! I can’t find my uniform, do you know where it is?”

”Shinobu! Do you know where my uniform is?” Shinobu looked at her door and back at the letter she was writing to Ubuyashiki, contemplating which one was more important to prioritize.

’Oh the hell with it’ setting down her pen as she walked out into the hallway. Taking turns to where she assumed she heard your voice.

”Ah there you are Shinobu! I can’t find my uniform, do you know where it is?”

”Have you tried asking Aoi?” You shook your head and Shinobu heard you down the hall yell a triumph ”yes!”. You ran back to her with your uniform on.

”Great! Now off you go!” You turned around with a deadpan expression. Shinobu giggled at your expression.

”I’m just kidding, but please. Be careful” You nodded and with that you sprinted away.

“Are you sure we’re on the right way Suki?” Your crow looked immediately offended and started to peck you.

“I always go the right way!”

“Okay okay, if you say so! It’s just that the map doesn’t really match the surroundings!” Your crow continued to peck you obviously offended by what you are saying. You continued to make your way through the mountain, the tall trees looming over your figure and let little to no light pass through.

The day turned to evening and then to night.

”Dang it! Have we really gotten lost!?” You yelled out in frustration, turning the map in every way, shape and form you could.

You leaned your head back and sighed in frustration.

”Well we have done it now Suki, we are headed the wrong way” you shook your head and the crow looked just as defeated as you did.

”D-demon lord Muzan” your ears perked up at the sound and you began to hear voices. You treaded carefully and saw a demon bowing to what looked like to be the demon king. Your breath caught in your throat and you snuck behind a bush to listen in.

”Is this the best you can do? Is this how many humans you can just eat?”

”Please lord Muzan! I swear I can be stronger!” The other demon got up and brought up his arm to which Muzan sliced, his arm landing right in front of where you hid.

You held your hand over your mouth as you made sure the hand didn’t move independently and that you weren’t being spotted.

”You haven’t grown strong at all. If you would have reacted quicker” The demon king replied.

”You had potential, I will admit that much. What a pity” The demon tried to protest but it was quickly silenced by a clean cut from the neck by Muzan. The demon's body laid there motionless and you have heard well enough.

You slowly got up to leave before he se-

”I know you are there. Pretty rude to just listen into a conversation no?” You felt your blood turn to ice and your heart sunk to your feet. The demon king had a calm expression as he looked at your terror stricken face.

You were so scared that you could barely move but with much effort and will you took up your katana against him.

He simply rolled his eyes before it looked like he teleported away, you looked confused before he appeared right before you kicked your side. You felt immense pain and ribs cracking before you flung against a tree. Your head collided with it leading to you feeling an aching pain from your head.

You hissed in pain before opening your eyes to Muzan crouching down to your level.

”Yes that is what I thought. Even if I face you, you demon slayers always take up your katana like that is going to help you” Before you could say anything he stabbed his finger through your forehead and you felt something enter through it.

”You can have my blood as a gift here for your bravery” Muzan chuckled.

Your crow Suki began to panic, fluttering her wings frantically. Muzan quickly got annoyed and with his hand cut off Suki’s head.

”Suki!-” And with that Muzan left you there.

Your body reacted quickly to the blood and you withered in pain. Veins were practically pulsating from your body, your nails grew long and sharp and your teeth turned to fangs.

It took a while before the pain finally subsided (reason being your body fought against the blood and transformation, not adding that tho into the final, Shinobu explains that)

You laid on the ground, your body exhausted and you could barely move. Tears from the pain and now sorrow you felt you come to accept the fact that you are a demon, the ugly thing you swore to kill and not become, yet here you are.

Shinobu looked at the time for what was the fifth time in the past ten minutes.

”Shinobu, you seem worried, is something the matter?” Aoi asked. Shinobu hunched over her desk only sighed and turned facing Aoi.

”I have a bad gut feeling and I can’t focus”

”Aren’t you sure that ’gut feeling’ is just you being worried? They’ll be fine, I believe they are capable enough” Aoi replied, setting a plate of cut apples in front of Shinobu. ”Here, if you eat a little maybe you’ll feel better”

”Hm, maybe. I will just have to wait and see” Shinobu took a apple slice and munched on it as her thoughts continued to drift away to you.

Night turned into morning and you had already moved to the shade.

You scooted to your crows dead body. Taking the head and the body you buried her beneath the soil, you prayed and held a silent minute for your fallen friend.

You sat there for a moment of silence before taking your katana and looking at your own reflection through it.

”There’s no way I can go back. Shinobu will kill me and worse she might not even recognize me” You vented to no one in particular. Alone as you were you sat there on the forest ground reflecting your life. Weirdly you didn’t feel hunger or any urge to consume anything. You looked on the ground and saw the sunlight creep closer to you. You got up and dusted yourself off.

’No point in sulking’ You concluded and began walking to nowhere in particular.

The sun shone down on the butterfly estate and through the window to Shinobu’s room. She got up and rubbed her tired eyes.

‘Hm, it seems like I fell asleep again’ She looked down at her unfinished paperwork and pushed it aside.

She got up and got herself ready for the day, tried to freshen up and eat breakfast. Aoi was already in the kitchen.

”Any updates on Y/N’s whereabouts?”

”No nothing. Shinobu, I think you are worrying too much. They should be back by tomorrow and if something happened then their crow would fly back here to tell us” Aoi said chopping the vegetables.

”Hm, that is true. I guess I will just have to wait then”

And wait she did but to no avail. Demon slayers looked around for traces of you, where your mission had been but they found nothing of you and with that, Shinobu had no choice but to come to terms with the fact that she lost you.

2 years later (to the current kny timeline)

The past 2 years have been a lonely one. You never dared walking around where humans were, afraid that your instinct as a demon would take over and that you would lose control. So you have just been hiding away in forests, hunting animals, stealing from empty houses and surviving by scraping the bottom of the barrel. You practiced your speed a lot, for when the day came you encountered a demon slayer or a hashira and could run away.

Shinobu still think of you at times. She hopes you are alive, even if it had been 2 years. You were never confirmed dead and no one found any blood or traces of you, she never lost faith.

After an exhausting mission, all Shinobu wanted was just to pass out on her bed and fall asleep for a year. Yawning, she walked through the dense forest with her sword strapped to her hip.

She looked up and from the distance she saw h/c hair, it looked alot like…you. She ran forward and you who heard running footsteps quickly turned around. Shinobu came half way and both of you stared at each other in shock.

”Y/N? Is that you?” You didn’t waste a second, you turned tails and ran the other direction.

’Shit shit shit! She recognized me! She recognized me!’ Practising your speed in those 2 years really came in handy now since when you looked back it looked like Shinobu was struggling to keep up.

”Y/N! Come back!" Shinobu yelled and you ignored her, picking up your speed.

Even after all these years, you couldn’t face her, maybe it was a shame or how angry Shinobu would have been, how angry you thought she would have been.

All these thinking and all this dilemma made you fail to realize that Shinobuwasn’t behind you anymore. Jumping from the trees above she finally jumped down at you, right in front of you. You quickly covered your face with your arms and there her shoes were planted but her weight and force made you fall onto your back.

”Stop! Stop get away!” Your hands and arms frantically tried to shove Shinobu off of your stomach while she tried to grab your wrist and calm you down. She finally got ahold of them and firmly pushed them on the ground beside your head.

”Y/N! Calm down! Please!” You both panted, the adrenaline in both of your bodies seemed to disapparate.

”Shinobu…” You muttered out and she gave you a sad shocked look.

”What, what happened to you?” Shinobu asked and got off of you. You couldn’t hold it in anymore and tears began to run down your cheeks.

”I-I became a demon! The demon king turned me into one when I overheard him talking to some other demon” Arms quickly encased you into a hug and you tightly hugged her back, your hands clinging onto the back of her haori as you cried into her shoulder.

"I didn't come back because I thought you would kill me" You confessed and hearing that made Shinobu's heartstring tug.

"I would have atleast hear you out first...I could never raise my blade first and think second when it comes down to you" With her hand she had at your back she drew patterns and circles to calm you down.

The relief that you felt from that sentence made you cry harder and you clung onto Shinobu tighter while she just continued on drawing patterns behind your back.

After a while when you had calmed down you wiped your tears but you didn't dare looking at Shinobu.

"I-"

I'm glad you're alive" Shinobu said and smiled.

"Thank you but...I can't go back. What will the demon slayers say and- the hashiras!? What about them!? They'll kill me and-" You rambled on and began to spiral down into panic.

Shinobu had her finger under your chin making you look at her.

"I will protect you from them. You would be happy to know that there is a little girl who is just like you. A demon who doesn't eat humans"

"How do you know I haven't eaten humans?"

"If you had, you wouldn't be sane like you are right now. As soon as you consume a human you are done for"

"Ohhh" You still were doubtful and that was evident on your face.

"That demon girl has already been in trial and she came out unharmed, we can do the same with you except you have me as your defender" Shinobu smiled and pointed to herself and you couldn't help but smile back, feeling hopeful.

"But before that lets get you to my estate. I am sure everyone will be happy to see you again and you need to rest" Shinobu helped you up and you hugged her again.

"Thank you, thank you thank you!" You hugged her tighter. Shinobu chuckled.

"You can thank me when we're at the estate, it's getting cold" You nodded and held Shinobu's hand. You both walked onwards with the future never looking as bright as it did now.

is protective / possessive over every aspect of your life. after all, to a man like him you're a very small and fragile thing.

the worst part of his unique perspective is that he secretly adores the power imbalance between the two of you.

take that time another man made the mistake of catching your attention. the moment he senses your heartbeat speed up [even just a pace], he's towering over you with malicious intent oozing out of every pore.

and with a man like gyomei [ who could literally crush your skull with minimal no effort whatsoever ] there's not much of a fight you could ever put up against him.

to prove the point, he gently places his hand on your nape, guiding your fear-stricken body away

he's got to protect you from the world, and you're just not as capable as he is.

is probably very obsessive over you when these new feelings begin to spring up, and because of his past reservations. it becomes a serious problem.

and coping can be a struggle. He goes from ignoring you for weeks [ pushing you away and avoiding what he feels ] to word vomiting everything he's ever felt.

in the beginning, it's a very unstable relationship. but eventually there will be a point of no return. [ there's no way he'll let you be without him ]

emotions, especially his emotions, aren't just something you just get to play around with. so, your special. really special.

giyu gets jealous very easily.

he cares about you a lot, and sometimes seeing you interact so easily with others makes him push you away or pull you closer. it really just depends on what he's feeling that day.

𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐢 ´ˎ˗

is a very clingy person when it comes to you, especially if you're in a relationship together. and sometimes her adoration for your love and attention can overwhelm her to the point of mania.

times like this she's not going to let go of you, even for a second. holding onto your hand, joined just by the pinkies as you walk together, or crushing your collarbones with her embrace.

occasionally, she can't help but cry for your attention.

she's much stronger than you and tends to remind you of the fact accidentally. being physically clingy and wanting hugs is one thing [ in your case, preferred to the other things she's capable of doing ]

yes, go too far, or god-forbid you neglect your 'little love' even for a moment. not one soul is safe, sometimes not even you.

𝐌𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐨 ´ˎ˗

is pretty much a classic yandere type. wherein, due of his forgetfulness, you're already his [ even if your not in a committed relationship, or if you even know him at all. . . ]

he's pretty forceful because of the fact, and gets irritated when you flat out refuse him or try to rid yourself of his presence.

there must be something wrong with you then.

sure, he'll follow and stalk you, adoring and protecting you without your knowledge. he finds you the most interesting person alive, no matter what you do, so he's promised to be around and observe.

but he just generally likes shadowing your every move, staying within the bounds of the bubble he's created around you.

𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐮 𝐊𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐨 ´ˎ˗

there are actually two sides to shinobu when it comes to your relationship.

most often you come to know the sadistic side of her. where she couldn't care less what you do during the day, in fact, she goes out of her way to tease and mock everything about it.

it's a childish need to poke fun at you and can be quiet damaging to your self-esteem.

but underlying this is a more protective side.

if you're sick, or if someone tries to take you away the obsession with bullying you morphs into a battle to keep you as close and protected as possible.

don't get shinobu wrong though, the object of all her affections is you. and what could she possibly do without you?

𝐊𝐲𝐨𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐤𝐮 ´ˎ˗

is mostly delusional and dreams of being the 'perfect couple' together.

when you first meet, he is the most caring, pleasant and comfortable person to be around. but he wants to push you into the relationship as quickly as possible.

hell, the moment he met you and knew you were the one, he was hearing wedding bells.

so, he's insistent and persistent. he won't stop until he gets what he wants. happening to 'be passing by' just to chat and 'bumping into you' at odd intervals.

he won't hurt you, never! but there are obviously other ways to get to your heart. . .

it's not totally insane to imagine that: one day you won't have enough money to support yourself any longer. and who else could you turn to but the cheery kyojuro. . . who seems a little too quick [ and too kind ] to take you into his home.

𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐳𝐮𝐢 ´ˎ˗

surprisingly uzui turns out to possess the stalker / manipulative types.

at first there's nothing he despises more then trailing after you like a nobody, unable to express this peculiar emotion you've ignited in him.

but there's a certain thrill in this type of obsessive love he feels for you. like a chase. he's never had a love that wasn't absolutely promised for him.

even when you actually [ formally ] meet him for the first time, it's been months since the first time he's laid eyes on you. he's sure to make an impression on you then. . .

your enchanted even, sure you've found your ideal type, but of course, he's learned everything he needs to know and had enough practice leading up to this moment.

he's capable [ and enjoys ] playing little 'mind-games' with you, sure to make you doubt yourself. including the idea that you're sure you've seen him before.

𝐈𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐢 ´ˎ˗

let's face it, it's in obanai's nature to be extremely possessive over you.

in fact, the feeling of love is quite a foreign feeling to him. one he'll figure out how to manage later.

he likes having you all to himself, plain and simple. just to watch you and your reactions to everything. his most treasured possession.

he hates it when you go to other people, it eats him up inside. so, like a good partner should, he slowly makes you dependent on him.

protection and affection of any kind, you better behave, or he'll just cast you aside like you've never actually mattered to him. [ he likes to toy with your emotions ]

he's certainly not above harming people to get you or prove a point.

it's an odd game your forced to play, regardless of what you feel. you have to pick: him or them. . . and he's going to make sure there's not a doubt in your mind.

𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐳𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 ´ˎ˗

is probably the most sadistic and dangerous person you will ever come to know.

like with his brother, showing his affections comes in harsh forms. he can convince himself, and you, that you could never mean anything to him. . . but that's simply not true.

there's no way sanemi could ever let you go.

his kisses for example, full of biting and bruising your lips, mingled with a passion for you so fierce that it scares you. [ it's just the way he loves you ]

and hurting people for you is just a fact of life for him.

he's only unpredictable if you don't know exactly what he wants.

Maddy has revived me with her STUNNING spider!shinobu art (linked here). so naturally, having just watched ATSV i really wanted to write something. so here we go (i’m a little rusty, bare with me)

y/s/n = your spider name!

y/n = your name!

Shinobu had been watching you for a few days now. you were her top suspect in a string of crimes that had been happening all over Tokyo. this criminal, by the name of y/s/n, had been committing crimes dressed in their own spider suit. As she perched atop your building, she hummed softly, watching your window closely. then, she saw the movement. and sure enough, there you were, creeping out of your window as you pull your mask down. you swing forward as shinobu quietly pursues you. just as you swing your arm forward to thwip, your body is entangled in someone else’s web.

“shit” you mumble. “my my, someone’s got a foul mouth on them”

your body is pinned against the side of a building; arms, legs, torso restrained by silky purple hued webbing. a body hovers over yours, pinning you further. “now, i’d like to chat with you, y/s/n, if you’re not to busy that is~”

now now now, listen. i was brainstorming names that shinobus spidersona would be and i kid you not, i couldn’t think of ANYTHING GOOD. what like butterfly-spider? spider-fly? poison-spider? spider-wisteria?? NOTHING i tell you, NOTHING.

“Will you still love me if I was a worm?”

A/N: I have finally crawled out of my own cave and escaped the demon writers block so here, hope you enjoy!

I tried to honour all of the anons ideas so sorry if the story became too messy or hard to follow.

🦋- You were a demon but more interesting, a shapeshifting one. You could shapeshift into animals and sometimes people, shapeshifting to people takes more energy on you though. The bigger the thing you’re shapeshifting into the more exhausting it becomes for you so that is why you usually turns to small things like cats or dogs if you’re ever on a mission.

🦋- Even though you’re a demon you proved to Shinobu that you could be trusted and somehow you managed to sneak your way into her heart and she fell in love.

🦋- One way to describe your guys’s trope was that Shinobu fell first and then you fell harder. The reason you never fell first was because you could never imagine Shinobu, the girl who hates demons to then fall in love with one.

🦋- Thanks to your shapeshifting abilities you and Shinobu are great on missions, you being the spy and then letting Shinobu know if you have found something. Sometimes you turn into a bird and do your thing and sometimes a cat or dog if you need to sniff the demon out. Usually when that happens Shinobu takes a long distance away from you, she knows you are you even if you are a dog but still, her hate for furry animals still linger.

🦋- Obviously your job is not only being the spy, you can fight too, shapeshifting form or just with a sword.

🦋- Shinbou loved your ability but you were quite mischievous sometimes. One time you turned into her fish fugu and she couldn’t tell the difference until she saw two goldfishes looking identical, not seeing you that morning she put two and two together.

🦋- “Y/N, get out of the tank or do I need to grab you” You jumped up and flopped onto the table and then the floor, turning into your normal self.

🦋- Shinobu did not look amused while you just laughed at her face.

🦋- Another time you turned into a dog and hid behind a corner. Shinobu was really tired that day and it was near midnight, as she turned you barked and that made her scream really loudly, almost waking every patient. You had to sleep outside for a month after that.

🦋- Now, you were into your more goofy mood so you decided to surprise Shinobu. You suddenly went up to her.

🦋- “Will you still love me if I was a worm?” As soon as you asked you turned into a worm. Since you could shapeshift you could do anything, even popping out eyes and ears out of your worm body. Gross yes, but how else could you hear her answer?

🦋- “Yes, yes I would” She smiled. Even if she couldn’t see it you smiled back.

🦋- She then did something you thought she’d never do, she leaned closer and kissed your clitellum

🦋- After that she smiled again, yet that smile made you feel uneasy.

🦋- “Why do you look so worried? I won’t do anything...too bad” She added and began to walk away leading you to her room.

🦋- Before you knew it Shinobu tied you to a hook and lowered you into the fish tank.

🦋- “Since you thought it was so funny pretending to be Fugu just to get more food maybe spending time with her would be even better”

🦋- You began to squeal and squirm, even if this was a prank you were still scared.

🦋- Now there was no way out, you knew Shinobu would have your head if you shapeshifted and broke her tank.

🦋- “Hmm what’s this? Are you trying to dance?”

🦋- You began to dance and move your little worm body, usually you do this when Shinobu is stressed. One time you played sweet dreams and turned into a worm and started dancing. Shinobu as about to cry but seeing you made her laugh so much it brought her to happy tears. But now the tables have turned.

🦋- “Awee, what a cute little dance!” She then let you up and you finally breathed. You shapeshifted eyebrows to frown at Shinobu and she only laughed at your face.

🦋- “Ok ok I’m sorry, follow me to the kitchen at least, I wanna cook something for you” You laid down on Shinobu's hand again and let her set you down on the table.

🦋- You knew this as your time to escape, almost like Shinobu read your thought she spoke up “Don’t change back, you’re gonna scare the demons slayers that might walk by”

🦋- Laying your head down Shinobu came back. You looked up and saw white sprinkles about to fall down on you. You had enough of being Shinobu’s plaything so you turned into a dog.

🦋- You smiled seeing her nearly stumble back, taking a few steps away from you. “Y/N, I’m warning you, move and I’ll- GAHH!” You pounced on her, she quickly pushed you off of her and began to run away.

🦋- “Ughh! Now I have dog fur on me!” You ignored her angry yell and continued to chase her. You knew you were gonna be in hella trouble after this so savor this moment while you can!
