The Grammy's - Part Two
Part 1 l Part 3
The GRAMMY’s.
The Grammy Awards are awards presented by the Recording Academy of the United States to recognise “outstanding” achievements in the music industry…if you believed what you read on Wikipedia and if you didn’t see the artists who had brought exceptional change to the music industry like Lana Del Ray, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and even Diana Ross.
BTS were included in that list of people who had changed the music industry, had made Billboard change their rules every time they brought out a new single or album, had streaming numbers no one else had and yet for all the Grammy nominations, performances and making an appearance, there was no Grammy.
Until they had received a notification from Bang-PD to their phones, though five of those messages had been delayed in getting to their recipients.
Grammy Nominations have come through - Grace has got 3.

In My Head - Album of the Year
7 Rings - Best Pop Solo Performance.
Each had a different reaction to the news, which was understandable. At first, there was elation over the fact that at least one of them got a Grammy nod, second was amazement that she had scored three big major categories and then worry mixed in with disappointment. Why hadn’t they had the nomination? Whether solo or as a group, the Grammy’s had left a bitter taste in their mouths.
Namjoon, Yoongi and Seokjin knew Grace would flat-out refuse to perform or even go to the awards. They knew her back to front - her loyalty stood with the group and if they weren’t getting a nomination, then neither would she.
However, this was a defining moment in her career, their careers, their history and for the country.
And for those who knew what kind of start Grace had, this would be the perfect way to celebrate that career.
She started as an admin assistant, straight out of school and into employment with Big Hit Entertainment who then saw that she could do ballet dancing, and ballroom dancing, who could sing though that skill was untouched, spoke perfect English, could speak German as well and had all the charm of an idol.
Yet there was no place for her.
Everyone knew Bang PD wanted a hip-hop group and that’s what he started with in Namjoon, then Yoongi and Hobi. Grace was added as a backup for the ability to sing their ad-libs and rap alongside them without any problem. Then along came Seokjin & Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin and suddenly they were an idol group.
A woman shouldn’t be doing hip-hop with a boy group and so she had signed a two album contract which had left her on tenterhooks as to whether all the skills she had gained while working with Bangtan Sonyeondan would now be worthless. But along came Skool Luv Affair and Dark & Wild and everything fell into place.
Now they couldn’t see the group without their eldest member, the only female, their noona. The woman who protected them in every sense of the word and who had always been there for their solo projects and careers. Her own started very late after their military careers had started so she had full reign of being the BTS representative.
If her upcoming tour was a testament to how well her solo career had taken off, then a Grammy nomination would just solidify that.
Updates were coming in every day and then it was the date of the Grammy Awards themselves. Jungkook, Jimin, Taehyung, Namjoon & Yoongi were given special permission for absence of leave for two days so Seokjin planned a private viewing party just for the boys, their close friends who knew Grace as well and some of their team.
Seokjin had been up till late preparing snacks and food as the Grammy’s would start at 10am their time. There was plenty of alcohol covering his kitchen counter and there was food everywhere when Hobi had arrived first.
“Hyung, have you been stress cooking again?”
Seokjin paused where he was putting out plates and cups, chilling the expensive alcohol that had been gifted to him by someone and making sure there was enough kimchi in the container. Multitasking at its finest.
“Maybe? I can’t help it. I’m nervous, more for Grace than anyone else.”
Hobi sighed, having had the same conversation with every other member of the team and Grace herself. She had massive reservations about attending and performing, believing it all to be a big farce so they could have big viewing numbers.
“I know, but noona will be fine. She’s a lot stronger than us and a loss at the Grammy’s won’t affect her like it did us. As she said, as long as her performance is killer, who cares.”
Nothing more could be said as the front door opened and the rest of his boys poured through, Jungkook first then the rest following with bags of more food and alcohol.
“How drunk are you all getting?” Hobi laughed, receiving hugs and pats on the back as he looked at the various sized bags that were being dumped in the kitchen.
“It would have been more but Yoongi-hyung stopped us,” Taehyung shrugged as he dropped his bag and then lifted his arm, flexing it to show off his muscles which caused Jimin to roll his eyes and push at him. “We’ve all got muscles. It hasn’t been that long since Hobi-hyung has seen us.”
“Are you feeling okay?” Yoongi and Namjoon asked Seokjin at the same time, causing the two to pause, look at each other then back at their hyung.
Jungkook, while looking every inch the military man he had become, had wrapped his arms around Seokjin and pushed his face into his back.
“Nervous,” Seokjin admitted while patting Jungkook’s hands. “I’m more nervous for her than about the whole thing. But I know she can handle it. It’s just a big thing.”
“For everyone,” Namjoon smiled slightly and reached over to give Seokjin’s shoulder a squeeze, causing the man to squawk at how strong that grip had become. “Ah, sorry hyung.”
“Come on, let’s get the TV sorted before everyone else comes. And start cracking the bottles open hyung, let the champagne breathe before we get started,” Yoongi grinned as he took control of the situation, shooing people to start doing jobs.
Even though it was early in the morning and most people had been up all night working, everyone was in bright spirits as the coffee churned. The living room was filled with about 20 people, some on the couch, some on the floor, some on chairs they had brought over. Jungkook had even stolen the spare mattress in the other room and had laid it out on the floor for some.
BTS, however, had taken control of the couch.
They barely listened to the people talking on the screen as they all settled down with their various glasses of drink though Seokjin, Hobi and Namjoon had stuck to iced coffee for now. They wanted to be sober enough to get to her performance before drinking any type of alcohol.
Their phones went off at the same time.
“Oh my god, look at her!”
Taehyung lifted his phone up and began showing it around to the others. Sejin had sent a picture of Grace between her parents, dressed in her Elie Saab dress and made up to the nines as her father stood in a suit to her left and her mother stood to her right in a gold dress. They all matched perfectly to what Grace was wearing.
Messages quickly flew out of good luck, hope it all goes well, kill the stage, etc. None were read by Grace but Sejin sent a thumbs up emoji back with a winky face.
There was silence in the room as they watched the red carpet, pointing out the various celebrities they knew of or had met. They had immediately spotted Liam McEwan, one of the reporters who they actually liked. And then they saw Bang PD step out of the car with Grace’s parents, a member of staff leading them past the red carpet and inside.
“Here we go,” Seokjin muttered as Namjoon’s hand squeezed his shoulder again, a bit more gently this time.
The noise from the crowd was instantaneous.
Hands reached forward for the remote control to turn down the volume a bit as screams were heard, many heads turned as the camera switched to Liam McEwan. “Everybody, Grace Chu from BTS has arrived! The queen is here.”
The boys held their breath until the camera caught up with where it was meant to be, showing Grace in front of the Grammy backdrop, cameras flashing in her eyes as she smiled for the photographers. The dress sparkled each time the camera flashed and then she was moved along, straight towards Liam.
“Seee! Told you she could do it,” Yoongi said as he raised his glass of whiskey, not at all a bit tipsy as Jungkook reached over and filled it up for him. When did he get started on that?
“She hasn’t even gotten inside yet hyung,” Jimin laughed, already opening another bottle of champagne as if Grace had already won her three awards and had been crowned Queen of Korea.
Seokjin and Namjoon as well as Hobi, the only three who had been determined not to drink until the end, slowly sipped on their iced coffee and laughed as they watched an excited maknae open Taehyung’s bottle of wine for him.
“But she’s won everyone over! I mean, that dress is amazing on her,” Taehyung said as he stood, pushing over Jimin who spilled himself into Hobi’s lap. Obviously, a career in the military had done nothing to dampen their enthusiasm.
Taehyung stood next to the large TV screen, pointing at various parts of her dress. “I mean, it’s pretty low. I wonder who signed that off but either way, she looks amazing. And look! Cleavage! No one has seen noona with cleavage yet.”
Yoongi groaned, covering his eyes. “Don’t mention Grace and cleavage in the same sentence. I’m not drunk enough yet.”
Seokjin hid a grin behind his hand and tried not to chuckle, ignoring Hobi who was cackling into his back and Namjoon who stood ready to defend his noona’s honour until he was pulled back down.
“What?” Taehyung asked, grinning. “Okay, okay. But this is history in the making here. She’s got everyone eating out of her hand already and she’s not even inside yet. Is that Taylor Swift she’s saying hello to? Oh, it's Nicki Minaj. Ah, another collab being set up there.”
“Tae,” Seokjin started and threw a napkin at him. “Sit down before your eyes turn into the same shape as the TV. You’re blocking the view as well.”
There were plenty of voices who agreed with him as Tae pouted and sat back down, ignoring the maknae line’s giggles.
The next time they saw Grace was sitting with her parents in the main room, taking a glass of water and gulping it down before Sejin and the Grammy team led her away.
“Oh this is it,” Jungkook whispered as he somehow managed to squeeze in next to Seokjin. If there were two people in the room who were close to Grace and could feel her nerves from here, it would be them.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to 5-time Grammy nominated member of BTS, Grace Chu,” the loud announcement came.
“Okay. This is it,” Namjoon said as he went into leader mode. “Everyone shut up and let’s enjoy it.” Nothing more needed to be said as everyone went into quiet mode, 20 sets of eyes on the TV that showed a black curtain being lifted as the opening to the Sound of Music’s ‘Favourite Things’ was being played by a small orchestra, dressed in black dinner suits and dresses.
Jungkook reached over and held onto Seokjin’s hand tight.
Each light in the middle came on to show her standing there, in her blazer dress that was very short but presentable and caused some uproar from the boys the moment they saw it but a quick look from Namjoon and they settled again.
Her eyes met the camera as it slowly zoomed in and she gave a small smile as she started to sing, four female dancers walking on stage to meet her dressed in white suits.
“My wrist, stop watchin’, my neck is flossy,” Grace and Jungkook sang at the same time, though he did it under his breath as he watched the choreography on the TV. By the time the chorus came, the four female dancers spread further apart to allow the seven male dancers to come alongside though they were dressed in matching black suits.
“Wearing a ring, but ain’t gon’ be no Mrs,” Grace sang as she flashed her left hand, wiggling slightly causing Jimin and Taehyung to giggle.
There were more outrage noises when it came to the second pre-chorus, the female dancers were back as the lyrics “my smile is beamin’, my skin is gleamin’” were sung but instead of Grace doing the usual choreography that the boys were used to, it had been changed for American tv.
All five women turned and leaned forward, resting heads on backsides as Grace shifted hands to turn her head towards the camera as she sang the rest of the lyrics, “the way it shine, I know you’ve seen it” as her hand went down the thigh of the dancer who she was resting on.
“I bought a crib just for the closet,” Grace sang as she rightened herself, not paying attention to the crowd’s delighted noises or what her parents were going to think. Right now, it was a cause of getting through this song to get to the rap part and then done.
All dancers were back for the chorus and Yoongi, Hobi and Namjoon shifted towards the edge of the seat. They had seen the many comments around this song and whether Grace could perform the rap part live, since it was so fat, not realising she covered their rap parts with ease when they needed her to.
“When you see them racks, they stacked up like my ass yeah,” she sang/rapped, turning her body a little to camera to show her hand grabbing a chunk of her backside to match the lyrics. She then fully turned to the camera, the dancers in formation on either side of her as she continued the verse.
“Shoot, go from the store to the booth. Make it all back in one loop, gimmie the loot,” she continued as she danced her way through the verse without stopping to take a breath.
In complete jubilation, every single person in Seokjin’s living room sang along with her.
“Nevermind I got the juice. Nothing but net when we shoot. Look at my neck, look at my jet!”
“Ain’t got enough money to pay me respect. Ain’t no budget when I’m on the set If I like it, then that’s what I get,” Grace continued from where they left off singing.
The dancers all left the stage as the orchestra took over the last chorus, letting the song play out once Grace stopped singing. The audience stood, clapping and cheering for her and even though the camera’s didn’t show it, she did a full bow to the crowd.
“Okay, that was amazing!”
The alcohol was flowing now the worst of the nerves were over with and Seokjin happily accepted the glass of wine, Namjoon a whiskey from Yoongi and Hobi a washed down glass of white wine. All seven boys, their close friends and team lifted their glasses in cheers.
“Namjoon, you do it,” Yoongi said as everyone looked to Seokjin to lead the toast.
“Oh right,” their leader said as he stood, making his way to stand next to the TV where the awards were flowing.
“When I first met noona, I was a shy teenager who had no clue, probably like many of us. She didn’t care that I was into hip hop, that I had big dreams and that I wanted to be something. All she cared about was Namjoon - what did he want? And I never knew the answer to that question until the day she and I were out buying plants,” Namjoon paused then laughed when he realised he was getting teary as was the rest of the boys in front of him.
“She asked what I wanted? And I picked up this plant pot because it was cute. And I realised there and then, that all noona wanted from me was to be happy and if a plant pot made me happy because it was cute, then that’s what she was going to get for me. Seeing her come from someone who didn’t know their place in the world to now seeing her up there on the Grammy stage, I’m very thankful that I have Grace Chu in my life. So fuck the Grammy’s, who gives a shit. Grace Chu just made history!”
Everyone’s glasses went up with cheers. “To Grace Chu!” they all said then downed their alcohol in one go, only for glasses to be filled again just as quickly.
There was complete and utter silence when she didn’t win Best Pop Solo Performance, though Jungkook could see the storm brewing over his leader’s head. “Noona isn’t bothered,” he muttered as he pointed to her on the screen as she laughed and talked to her parents, completely unbothered by the fact she didn’t win.
It turned out to be a very long morning as each award came and went.
“The nominees for Record of the Year are,” that sentence interrupted all the conversations in the room, heads turning on a swivel to stare at the screen.
BTS turned to look at each other and as if they had the same thought, they each reached over to clasp hands. Namjoon closed his eyes, let out a breath and prayed.
“And the winner is,” there was a giant pause and Grace on the screen turned to her mother to say something before the answer was revealed: “7 Rings - Grace Chu.”
There was complete and utter pandemonium in Seokjin’s living room. Namjoon had fallen to the floor on his knees, Jungkook on his back. Taehyung and Jimin were hugging each other, Hobi stared at the screen in utter confusion and Yoongi reached over to wrap an arm around Seokjin’s shoulders.
“She did it, hyung. She actually did it.”
They missed most of her speech, only calming down enough to hear the last part of it.
“Holy shit,” Namjoon muttered as he wiped a hand down his face and stayed where he was. Jungkook grabbed hold of his shoulders and whispered hurriedly at him. “Hyung, hyung, look.”
On screen, Chris Martin from Coldplay was walking across the stage.
“No way,” Seokjin whispered as Yoongi grabbed hold of his hand, squeezing tight. If there was anyone who was important to the couple and to the rest of the band, it would be Chris. The fact he was there to present the biggest award of the night was not missed by anyone.
“The winner for Album of the Year,” Chris paused and turned to look at Grace. “In My Head" by Grace Chu, produced by Bang PD & PDogg from Big Hit Entertainment. Congratulations.”
There was silence for a moment and then a multitude of noise. Cheers, screams, crying, hooting, laughter and some kind of noise Taehyung had produced at the news. Each man had a different reaction as they watched Grace stand and walk up to the stage, greeting Chris the traditional way before hugging him.
They went silent again as Grace started her speech, each of them holding their breath as they were standing. It wasn’t missed that she had said her boys, ARMY and her man separately and for her to acknowledge Seokjin like that on American TV was another big moment.
Jimin’s phone rang just as Grace walked off stage and he quickly pulled it out, seeing Sejin’s name on the screen.
“Ah Sejin-hyung,” Jimin said while he put the voice call on speakerphone so they could hear their old manager.
“Grace is just coming backstage now so I’ve got you on speakerphone, one moment.” They could hear the tears in his voice over the noise in the background. “Grace, the boys are on the phone.”
They were all screaming their congratulations on the line and suddenly they heard Bang-PD on the line.
“Boys,” he started crying again. “I’m so proud of you all. So proud. I’m letting Grace have a moment with her parents but I just wanted to say I’m very proud of you all. Thank you.”
It was hard to even get their words out but there were promises for a celebration dinner when they got back and Grace would speak to them later once she got back to her hotel.
“She did it,” Namjoon whispered as he saw the notifications on his phone on various media outlets across South Korea and America reporting on Grace winning her two Grammys. CL, IU, TXT and others were posting on their social media, tagging BTS and Grace in their posts. Even Billboard had put up a post.
“She did it,” Namjoon repeated as he rested a hand on Seokjin’s back and an arm around Jungkook’s shoulders. Hobi joined them at Jungkook’s side, pulling Jimin and Taehyung in and Yoongi joined them by wrapping an arm around Taehyung and Seokjin.
Grace would return back to Korea, to them, as a twice Grammy awarded artist. And no one would be able to say that Korea’s Noona hadn’t broken the barrier that they all needed to be broken and no one could say that they as a group and individually weren’t leading the way for other Korean idols and groups.

Taehyung on Suchwita🥺 and Namjoon's Bday🥳
What should I talk about first? Let me start with Namjoon's birthday letter on Weverse first. We all know how is it when he comes with long letter.
This was the auto-translated from Weverse. I don't know either if it's already the perfect one. But it's enough to make me in tears 🥺.

That words that come from him really hurts me. He talk several time about the idol-fans relationship and they talk about this on their 9th festa dinner. Said that it hurts that they can't tell us about everything. Ask us to keep trusting them. I do trust them eventhought I know them just from everything I saw on the screen. If I'm not mistaken Namjoon talk about it on their book, that sometimes he really want to hug his fans but he can't do that 🥺. I don't know how to explain this but BTS and ARMY have that kind of relation that more than just an artist and their audience. Kinda feel like a long-time childhood friends (?). It feels like we know them so well, their behavior, what they like or dislike, and else. We don't have to know every single detail about them, we know it's a stalker behavior, it's illegal. But knowing how they feel about the line they can't across on this idol-fans relation is so sad. There might be some bad consequence from that, fear of ruin their career, fear of upset their fans, etc. I trust them anyway. Their song give me hope and help me went through so many my up and down so let's just stay like that 😊.

The tears really streaming down my face after I read those words. The way he deliver about his feelings 🥺. This is one of many reasons why I stay this long on this fandom. I feel so emotionally connected with them. It's not just an empty thank you like "Oh thanks to my fans who keep buying and support our songs." No they're not like that. They are so sincere about their music and people around them 🥺. They respect them all 😭. I love them so much. I mean it. Really from the bottom of my heart. I really want people to understand why I stan them but I don't think they give a fuck. They just want to mock and labelled people like me as a "crazy fangirl" or "maniac".
Next is about Taehyung on Suchwita!
Finally we got another taegi moment! Taehyung is the last guest from BTS on Suchwita so everyone really anticipating this episode. Yoongi kept saying that Taehyung was nervous maybe because it's his first talkshow. What a relieve that it's with Yoongi as the host. Poor baby Taehyung 🥺.
They talk about so many things, Taehyung solo album, the making process, their individual genre, their trainee era, and the 2018.
About them in 2018, I was there when they gave a speech for their Artist of The Year award if I'm not mistaken. Seokjin openly talk about their thought about disband. And then the other member, especially Tae and Hobi started crying so hard. Everyone crying too of course it's hurt to see people you love is sad and hurt. But I don't really understand what they went through to have such a thought to stop. I just know they're tired of all the burden and expectation. Then I read the Beyond The Story book and they talked about it on Suchwita and Festa Dinner, and I just know that they're so physically and mentally drained at the time. They barely got rest and they all burnout. I remember Yoongi said that he vent on the toilet and cried on AMA because he's so scared. I thought it's all great things when they step up on American music but apparently it's all wrong. It's just another level of hard times for them. It's their 1st time being on that stage but of course they don't know what to do since they are the 1st who went there. They can't get any advice from any senior about what to do because they're the 1st who got there. Thank God they made their thought and get their strength as team back 🥺.
They mentioned about Yoongi's letter to Taehyung they talked about on Festa dinner 2018 (since it's Fake Love era). So the rapline were working on Tear, it's a song about broke up but turned out years later that it was a letter for the member. In the middle of working on the song he send Tae and Jungkook a long letter. Now I understand why Taehyung said that he cried so much after he read that long message and why that "I love you" mean so much to him 😭💔. Maybe since they are the youngest in the group so they worried about their condition. To be honest I just read the translated lyrics of Tear on Suchwita. I don't know that the song is really that hurtful. I can imagine how they feel everytime they went on stage on every state, rap about their disband thoughts in front of million ARMY who thought that Tear was a broke up song 😭💔.
Once again happy birthday Namjoon, the best leader, jooniebear, jooniethepooh, jootriever, koalajoon, and everything. I thank God for your existence, for real. I wish you can enjoy your last 20s and have a good day. I wish for your health. I wish for everything you wish can become true. I wish you always surrounded by good people. I wish you know that we trust you on whatever you are working on. Please trust us. Thank you for your existence, thank you for never giving up on your dream so your music can reach me and help me. Thank you for always sharing your thoughts and advice with us. It feels like a have a big brother now that I can depend on 🥺. I love you 💜.

When you said no one bats an eye when hoseok gets no lines, thats so true along with seokjin. Jin is not the best singer in the world but at least he *tries* to improve himself with vocal lessons and shit. He and hoseok are the most stable live for a reason. And when hobi runs dance practice, he sings the songs / beats to help the members memorize the choreography, thats why he's a great singer and a great rapper, especially live cause that man has practiced vocals along with dance practice so much. Hoseok pretty much carries bts in terms of performance especially. Even the members themselves said bts has 2 leaders and he (hobi) has excellent leadership skills. Not to say bts wouldnt be good performers without him, but could you honestly imagine rm or the other dance liners running their practice lol??
Jin has always been one of my favorite members. He's the main character in a lot of their mvs, if ur into bts' mv theories it all kinda just revolves around him, yet he gets no lines and he's never in the center. Is he the best dancer? No, but he sure as hell deserves time in the center. I love how honest jin is too, never afraid to set boundaries and not playing into cringy fanservice when fans ask to marry him💀 i really like his solo songs too, along with hobi. I want to see him in a kdrama so bad lol, isnt that what he has a degree in?
The reason why i said all that is cause like i said at the beginning, *no one* bats an eye when those two get shoved in the back. Its always other members stans saying "yeah, its hard to give equal lines to 7 members uwu" like. Yeah. IT IS. But it's always those two more often than any other members. Hoseok getting LITERALLY ZERO lines in spring day is ridiculous. Seokjin never being in the center is ridiculous.
I get it, some members fit songs and concepts more than others. But having it constantly be one or two members more than others is so ???? If i was a kpop group member always getting pushed to the back, i'd be pissed cause im sure the pushed back members work hard too. A lot of groups have problems with equal line distribution, not just on one single song, but whole albums where a few members have a minute of lines, unless that's just a problem with companies putting in filler members.
Either way, seokjin and hoseok deserve better. A LOT better. And i hope they are the first ones to end their contract when the time comes cause im sure they're sick of it

The "Like Crazy" music video by BTS member Jimin has received over 3 million views in just 3 hours
BTS Jimin, also known as Park Jimin, debuted as a solo artist today, March 24, with the release of his solo album FACE. Six tracks from the Korean boy band's vocalist's album FACE will be released. The title of Jimin's album's lead single, "Like Crazy," highlights the 29-year-many old's personalities. It came as no surprise when the Like Crazy official teaser, which was issued by the Big Hit Music label at midnight (KST), quickly gained popularity among fans.
The singer was shown in the middle of the room in the official teaser for Like Crazy, and when the lights returned after a brief period of darkness, he appeared as a flamboyant avatar with music and lights streaming.
The BTS star made his television solo debut on "The Tonight Show" to release his first song. The performer also included the song "Like Crazy" in the set. He earlier made an appearance on The Tonight Show, but he was accompanied by the other BTS members.
Fans are proclaiming Park Jimin supremacy after the music video for "Like Crazy" received over 3 million views after its release at 1 PM (KST).

According to the press statement released by BigHit Music, Like Crazy is a "synth-pop song" with a powerful synth sound, on top of which "Jimin's emotional timbre makes a beautiful distinction." It added, "The album cover photographs show the album logo 'FACE' in the shape of waves on the lake surface.
The ARMY was delighted last month when Jimin announced that his debut solo album would be released in March during a Weverse live show. Jimin's solo album "FACE," which is scheduled to be released on March 24 at 1:00 p.m. KST, was officially announced by BigHit Music on February 22. Park Jimin, after J-hope and RM, will become the third member of BTS to release a solo album with the release of FACE.
The BTS members are currently concentrating on their solo projects while they are on a short break. Kim Seokjin is performing his military responsibilities. Prior to that, he worked with Coldplay on the song "Astronaut." The ARMY gave RM's most recent solo album, Indigo, high praise. You sighed in relief as the first customers of the night started pouring in. This was it. This was what you had been working towards for the past ten years. After years of culinary school, slaving away as a sous chef and begging investors, tonight was the night that you unveiled your new restaurant.
You ran your clammy hands over your pants as you greeted your guests, the most radiant smile on your face, before checking in with the kitchen. Even before the grand opening, the fact that one of your investors was the beloved chef Baek Jong-won, had people excited about your restaurant. It had put a lot of pressure on you, but watching your head chef prepare the kitchen for the dinner rush calmed your nerves. It was comforting being in the back, the clatter of pans and shouts of commands made you feel at home.
“Checking up on me already, boss?” Seokjin asked, chuckling as he draped a towel over his shoulder. In addition to being your head chef, Seokjin was also your best friend, supporting you over the years to make your dream come true.
“Can never be too sure, what with your habit of getting distracted by your reflection,” you joked, earning a scowl and a whack from Seokjin’s towel. Pushing him back, you laughed as he yelled at you for almost killing him, his dramatics at an all time high, probably the same nerves churning through him as you.
Where the kitchen was chaotic, the front of the house was almost serene, a low rumble of conversation offset by a soft jazz playlist you had spent hours curating. Your nerves dissipated as the first orders arrived, the customers smiling and nodding at the first taste.
Moving behind the bar, you checked on Jungkook, your younger brother and bartender. No one would have ever thought the two of you would end up working together, given the fights you had all through your childhood, the scar of one of them permanently etched on his cheekbone.
“Did you invite him?” He asked as he shook a drink, the ice rattling obnoxiously in the metal container.
“Who?” You asked, your nose scrunching at the aggressive way he made the drink. You swore if he broke another glass you were going to take it out of his paycheck, shared gene pool or not.
“Namjoon,” he whispered theatrically, using his eyes to point towards the corner of the room. The sound of his name set you on edge, your heart in your throat.
You hadn’t thought of your ex for over two years, since the night he walked out on you and you vowed to never let anyone take control of your happiness and leave you broken on a whim. However, that didn’t stop you from following your brother’s eyeline to the more secluded tables of your restaurant.
He looked different. So different that it cracked the carefully constructed armour around you, a frown etching onto your features as you took him in. Dressed head to toe in black, you wouldn’t have noticed him if it weren’t for Jungkook.
He looked out of place, anxious, as he drummed his fingers on the menu, staring at it intently. The hood of his oversized jacket was atop his head concealing his dyed blonde hair, and his black mask was pulled low on his chin, leaving his bare face on display as if his new album wasn’t currently at number one.
He was biting his lip, his brows scrunched together and it sent you back to two years ago, the memories flooding your brain as the ache you’d worked endlessly to ignore reared its ugly head once again.
“We should break up,” Namjoon said, his lower lip between his teeth, as he stood in the doorway. He was still dressed in his outfit from the shoot he had returned from; a shiny silver bomber jacket adorned atop a plain black outfit, his makeup still on perfectly. It gave him an ethereal look, all flaws hidden from view as he looked at you in your striped blue pyjamas, hair up in a messy bun, face puffy from sleep.
His words felt like you had been hit with ice water, like you were skating on a frozen river and it gave way from under you plunging you into a panicked cold that felt akin to a burn. You didn’t know how long he watched you, your face neutral after you demanded an explanation.
“It’s not fair to you, Berry,” he said, voice soft and broken as he finally made his way to the bed. He sat as far away from you as he could and the distance seemed to stretch on for miles. You were confused by his sudden change. Just yesterday he had arrived home with smiles and cuddled into you immediately, just as he had done for the past three years, but today you were hard pressed to find that warmth, his gaze never meeting yours.
“You don’t get to decide what’s fair to me,” you stated. “We are not breaking up.” Decision made, you slipped the cover over yourself as you reclined back into your supine position.
“I can’t do this anymore,” he muttered, almost silently but the quiet of the room gave him away, his distraught weaving itself in your skull.
“Juniper, let’s talk about this,” you pleaded, a hand reaching to grab onto his that he shrugged off.
“No. If we talk about this you will convince me to stay and I just can’t do this anymore.”
“What did I do?” Your voice was soft, as if you spoke any louder it would startle the seemingly broken man in front of you.
“It’s not you, it’s me,” he spoke the cliche, his dimples making an appearance in the sad smile he gave in your direction. You didn’t understand what was happening. Namjoon was a man of many words, slinging together poetry out of thin air in seconds, inspired by the mundane. He continued, talking over your thoughts, as he explained the reasons he was hurting you, the reasons he was a bad partner. All reasons that you have never even conceived - a product of his overthinking, anxious mind. Every time you would argue, he would counter with his own failings, like how he couldn’t make it to your culinary school graduation and how his fame made him unavailable to go to whenever you needed him.
Namjoon cried, inconsolable even when you tried to assure him that his failings were in his imagination, that you were happy, content. But he had a notoriously one-track mind, and the only conclusion he could come to was that he couldn’t bear to be with you any more.
“Seeing you always waiting for me breaks my heart,” he whispered as he held you, your face in his hands as he smiled for your benefit. You didn’t know how to convince him otherwise, but the way he kissed you, tasting of salt and regret, you knew it would be the last time he would do so.
When he left that night, you finally cried, mourning a relationship that he snatched away from you, before the tears turned to rage, heartbreak manifested into indignation.
“Are you going to talk to him?” Jungkook broke you out of your reverie just before you could further relive the sorrow.
“No. Absolutely not. He can enjoy his solo dinner,” you replied, turning on your heels to go into your office, your excitement for the night overshadowed by Namjoon’s sudden reappearance. It wasn’t bad enough that you had to see him in your restaurant but as you turned on a random playlist fate decided that you would hear him too as he talked about your break up on his new single. His sultry vocals rapped about his self loathing and need to please only to realize that he left the only person who loved him for himself. You were bitter that he had this epiphany, bitter that he was monetizing on something that was as much your heartbreak as his.
But what Namjoon wants, Namjoon gets, and as the dinner rush ended and the crowd dwindled with last call, he was still sitting in the corner table, sequestered away from eyes as he played with his dessert. He must have known that the chocolate bon bons were inspired by him, dubbed Juniper like you had called him all those years, and extra mint added just to spite him. The same way he had named his new song Back to Berry, an homage to no one else but you.
When he refused to leave even after Jungkook asked, you had no choice but to act civil and make your way towards him. He gasped as you unceremoniously settled in the chair in front of him, eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost. As if he had not been waiting three hours for this exact moment
“What are you doing, Namjoon?” You asked, arms folded across your chest as you glared at the face you once thought you couldn’t live without.
“I’m eating dessert,” he answered, averting your hardened gaze to poke his fork at the food.
“We’re closing,” you said, your hand waving to your wait staff that had started clearing tables and sweeping the floors. “And you hate mint chocolate,” you added as he took a bite.
“It was calling my name,” he chuckled humourlessly, before he sighed pushing the plate away. He finally met your eyes then, a soft smile on his face, his dimples poking their way from his cheeks into your heart. “Congratulations. You did it.”
“Yeah. Alone.” You were bitter. He had left you, practically ghosted you for two years and now he thought it was okay to waltz back in?
“I’m sorry,” he said, dropping all pretenses as his hand reached towards you. “I’m so sorry, Berry.”
The use of his old nickname for you broke your heart and your facade as you looked at his hand placed directly in front of you on the table, a finger slowly caressing your forearm, almost out of reach. You couldn’t help the way your eyes glistened at his touch, tender and apprehensive. How could he think it was okay to come here? How could you think you wouldn’t forgive him if he asked?
In that moment all you wanted was to run back into his arms, kiss him, delve back into that chaotically beautiful brain of his, but your pride was stronger than all the apologies in the world.
“It’s too late,” you said as you stood up, his head dropping as he retracted his hand back into his lap. “We’re closed. Goodbye, Juniper.” You gestured to the door, waiting for him to collect his bag, watching as he dropped much more money than his bill on the table before he made his way to the door.
Turning around he looked at you, catching you staring at him with tear streaked cheeks. “I’m not going to give up, Berry”
“You never do, do you?”
“Never when it comes to you,” he said, covering his face with his mask and adjusting the hood atop his head before disappearing into the quiet street.
That night you felt your defences weaken a little when you got a message from an unknown number.
I forgot to tell you. I still miss you. Even after 708 days.

VMIN-BIASED
People say it’s obvious that Tae is Jimin-biased because he always posts Jimin in weverse . But people forget that Jimin is Tae-biased too. Here are some proof:
1. Remember that RUN BTS punishment shirt that Jimin designed? Who was on the picture? Yes, Jimin and TAEHYUNG.
2. FRIENDS, a song written and produced by Jimin, who was it about? Yes, memories of Jimin himself and TAEHYUNG. What do they call each other? SOULMATES.
3. PROMISE, Jimin’s first non-album solo single. What do we see in the cover? “special thanks to v, best photographer”. Yes, TAEHYUNG.
4. In some Run BTS and Bangtan Gayo eps, when Jimin is asked who he wants to team up with.. His answer: TAEHYUNG. Also in BV when asked who he wants to share a room with, answer: also Taehyung
5. WINTER BEAR, Tae’s first Full English song. Who gave the two bears in the cover? YES. JIMIN. Who posted in Weverse and twitter calling it Baby Bear? Who talked about it in three different vlives? Who learned how to play it using a recorder, and showed in an ep of RUN BTs and one of the Vlives. Yes, that’s right, it is JIMIN.
6. In Bring the Soul, Dynamite MV, Blue and Grey when asked what is his favorite part.. Jimin’s answer: Taehyung’s Part. In Run BTS Behind 42, at the very last part it says [Jimin’s Top Pick] “Taehyung was so cute, the ultimate of lovely.”
7. Jimin naturally loves to compliment Taehyung. ALWAYS is an understatement. Lol. He does it with or without Tae around too. He said a funny compliment in Run Ep. 71. During their morning mission, Tae was saying he danced around at the balcony while Jimin and the members are playing. JM didn’t see it obviously but he still sweetly said ‘Really? You’re really good at it’. I mean, he doesn’t even need to see what Tae did, he just automatically compliments him.
8. “I’M YOUR ANGEL”, who does Jimin say it to multiple times? Taehyung.
9. “When talking about Taehyung and I.. There’s no end.”

Honestly, it’s like this a lot. I mean. Especially when it comes to Vmin, but I think it boils right down to people focusing on Jimin and how he’s treated and not how he treats others/how the other members are treated. It’s why you see videos and posts everywhere that call him the “favorite” of BTS, but I don’t think he is? If anyone is, it’s more like Jungkook. But each member of BTS has a member that their closer to. For Yoongi? I always got the feeling that Jungkook was his favorite. Namjoon? Taehyung. Hoseok? Jungkook. Seokjin? All the babies. And I’m not saying the member I listed is this members favorite. It’s just the one I’ve noticed they favor more from the maknae line.
It’s really just people focusing on what they want to see. Jimin takes care of all the members, yes. But he especially takes care of Taehyung. He clearly favors Taehyung out of the rest of the group. I’m not saying he likes Taehyung better or the members less. He loves them all. He just loves Taehyung differently. And it doesn’t have to be romantic differently. It can be any kind of differently. But it’s pretty clear that Taehyung has a special place in his heart compared to the rest.
Anyway.
10. Bought Taehyung a dream catcher when he had a nightmare. A dream catcher that Taehyung likely still has hanging in his room if the lyrics of Friends are anything to go by.
11. Kept in contact with Taehyung when he couldn’t join the group for BV1 and BV3 for different reasons.
12. Forced everyone, including Yoongi, to say “I love you” in a video that he sent to Taehyung. And then sent his own separate video/photo to Taehyung that we wouldn’t have known about if Taehyung hadn’t shown us. So it either wasn’t included in editing, or (more likely) Jimin did it in private. (BV3)

BTS & Grace - 25 Weeks
The practice room was filled with sounds of unreleased music, some heavy breathing, the squeaking of shoes, someone dropping a bottle of water on the wooden flooring and the mutters of the staff. It was the typical chaos expected of BTS and even after their military service, they were still the same lunatics when it came to dance practice. Of course, there were changes to muscles, structure, punctuality and how everything was planned to the finest detail.
Some things, however, could not be planned to the finest detail.
With the boys back all together from the military, their comeback plans were finalised and put in place. A new album was in the making with a single having been released about two months ago and a tour was in the planning stages. It had been thought out, in great detail, with all eight members signed on and ready to go.
Yet, life never listens to plans.
Life finds a way.
Grace had been the sole member to represent the group as the boys completed their military career and her final solo concert coincided with BTS 12th anniversary. The following months allowed her to relax for once while the last members finished their service and she could enjoy having Seokjin home, could enjoy not worrying about music for once.
The plus sign on a pregnancy test threw every plan out of the window.
It wasn’t planned, it never is. It was wanted but later on. However, life found a way as Bang PD jokingly said when he was told the news. And any fear or worry about what was going to happen slowly shifted when the team came together to make adjustments.
The tour would go ahead but without Grace. She would still be there but behind the scenes, dealing with a newborn baby if all went okay. BTS would play as seven members, 6 uncles and 1 Dad.
For now, she was still part of the process and still part of practice. The 25-week baby bump had stopped her fully dancing but she could still sing and she wasn’t going to miss a single practice, interview or the like until B-Day as Jungkook had taken to calling it. B-Day for the day she was meant to give birth.
The boys had been over the moon and beyond with joy at the news. Finally, after many hints and a bit of begging, Seokjin & Grace were going to make them uncles. In Jungkook’s case, he was finally going to be a big brother and big brother had taken to following his mother wherever she went. If Seokjin wasn’t there, Jungkook was.
Jimin and Taehyung were twins of loud support - kings of snacks, blankets, and foot rubs.
Hobi had been a bouncing ball of sunshine and was already buying clothes for a child whose gender nobody knew but they all had a feeling of what it would be. Namjoon immediately started researching and buying pregnancy books, DISPATCH catching him once and sending the media into a flurry of rumours. None of which were denied or talked about.
Yoongi had taken it upon himself to build the nursery and buy the furniture. That was his job and nobody was going to take it from him. He was also secretly making a lullaby album for the future.
And Seokjin - well he was a bit of a worrywort. Constantly worrying about everything, mostly if he would be a good father because he would be on the road most of the time and he was childish yet mature, strong yet weak and every moment was a worry. But he was excited, just like the staff were, just like the families were.
The first Bangtan baby.
And the first Bangtan baby was getting a taste of the song IDOL.
Grace had a microphone in one hand, the other hand on the side of her stomach where her child seemed to be hitting in time with the beat and in front of her on the table was a selection of snacks. The doctor had told her to snack daily on carrots, cheese, yoghurt and some apple wedges with strawberries and tangerines. So it was a constant process of munching on a baby carrot then sing her lines then munch on something else.
It wasn’t too bad. She’d rather be eating than sweating.
“How’s baby Bangtan doing?” Yoongi asked, coming over once the song was done to steal some tangerine segments.
“Baby Bangtan was enjoying IDOL and were dancing up a storm, if the pain in my ribs is any indication,” Grace sighed then frowned when she realised what Yoongi had stolen. Seeing the look on her face, Yoongi quickly sat down and began peeling the other tangerines. If there was one thing he was going to do, it would be not getting on Grace’s bad side. Her mood swings have been a bit unpredictable lately.
“Noona, I’ve got your black tea,” Jimin said as he placed the mug on the table before sitting beside his noona.
Tea - the only drink she could have twice a week. And it had to be black, not her normal drink which she missed.
“Ah here comes Joon with his daily pregnancy fact,” Yoongi muttered with a grin as he finished peeling one tangerine.
Namjoon ignored the smaller man and glared at Jimin for giggling. “25 weeks so 6 months, we’ve got 3 months to go. Baby should start developing blood vessels in their lungs and their nose will start to work as well,” he read off his phone where he had downloaded an app to keep track.
“We? What we? I think it’s Grace and I who have 3 months to go,” Seokjin wandered over as he pressed a towel to his skin to dry it from the sweat.
“No hyung, we all have three months to go until the bangtan baby is here,” Jungkook said while coming up behind the older man to give him a light slap to the neck before settling down beside Grace.
Grace could see Seokjin’s mouth begin to open with his traditional ‘ya!’ but Taehyung beat him to it, shoving his phone in front of his face. “Jin-hyung, what do you think of that t-shirt? I think we should all get one for when the baby comes. It says Team Bangtan Baby.”
“Team Bangtan Baby,” Hobi grinned as he took his place next to Jimin. “That kind of works. Can we use that when we start doing RUN BTS again? We can have baby-themed episodes. Who can change a nappy the quickest?”
“You won’t be able to do that hyung, you can’t stand the sight of sick so how are you going to deal with dirty nappies?” Jimin asked, pushing the mug of tea closer again.
“I can deal with it, I’ve changed since the military you know,” Hobi glared at the younger man while puffing up his chest.
“Hobi-hyung, you screamed and jumped when you bumped into that mannequin the other day,” Jungkook pointed out from where he lay his head against Grace’s stomach, grinning when he felt the light kicks.
“I’m feeling very ganged up on here,” Hobi muttered as he pulled out his phone and distracted himself.
“How are you feeling anyway, Gigi?” Namjoon asked, turning the attention back to the woman in question.
“Hemorrhoids are fun,” Grace said in the most deadpan way she could causing Yoongi to giggle behind his hand and for Namjoon to stutter.
“Boys! As much as it’s fun to torture your female member, we’ve got practice to get to,” Sung-deuk called from the other side of the room.
There was a collective groans and sighs as they all stood up. Grace smugly grinned, holding up her strawberries and leaning back against the chair that had been provided. “Go on boys, I’ve covered you for over a year. Now it’s your turn. I’ve got some baking to do here, only three months to go.”

The Secretary General of KMCA talks about how Jin is a "complete idol" after analyzing the male idol releases in 2022
OK-Pop, a Youtube channel run by Circle (Gaon) chart, released a video analyzing the performance of male idols' releases in 2022. The analysis was presented by the Secretary General of KMCA (Korea Music Content Association) and Circle (Gaon) Chart, Choi Kwang-Ho.
He was demonstrating the graph of the physical sales and chart performance of male idols (soloists and groups together) in the second quarter of the past year. The Y-axis was demonstrating the physical sales in the first 4 weeks and the X-axis was showing the unique listeners on MelOn in the first 30 days. Choi Kwang-Ho paid attention to every single group and idol, talking about the possibilities of growth for each.
The mentioned groups and soloists got divided into a few categories:
Fandom-type (high physical sales due to the big fandom support): Ateez, Enhypen, Stray Kids.
Public-friendly (unique listeners on MelOn): Highlight, Zico, RM, Winner.
Unclassified: DKZ, Tempest, Ph1Harmony, SF9, Cravity, CIX, Oneus, Xiumin, Super Junior, Xiumin, J-hope, Kihyun, Key, Treasure, The Boyz.
Completed idols (strong in both - physicals and unique listeners): Jin, Seventeen, NCT 127, NCT Dream.
As you can see, Jin is the only soloist who made it into the list of "completed idols". Choi Kwang-ho said that Jin's solo debut received lots of attention and it's seen in his album sales and chart performance in Korea. He proved himself to be a soloist who has strong physical and digital results. "Jin was really successful", - Choi Kwang-ho said. The Secretary General summed up the commentary on Jin by saying that his solo music was very well-favored and the artist is definitely going to come back with even better music after his discharge from the military.
Jin sold over 700k albums in just 7 hours in South Korea and demonstrated a stable performance on the local charts; even debuted on MelOn in the first hour after the release, which is nowadays impressive for a male idol.
Choi Kwang-ho also mentioned that Jin's enlistment made him very sad.
Jin's solo performance with "The Astronaut" was indeed amazing, not only locally, but globally too. He has just debuted as a soloist, but Choi Kwang-ho already put him in the category of "completed idols." Moreover, Jin's promo period lasted for a very short time, and he didn't do any fansign events in Korea, nor did he attend any musical shows. And fans are still complaining about Hybe not making any report regarding Jin's sales in the USA and Europe. However, after releasing only one song, Jin is already owning 7% of yearly Hybe's sales.
On a global scale, Jin is the record-owner of the highest first appearance on Billboard Hot 100 in K-pop history. The artist achieved the biggest debut sales by a K-pop soloist on the Global Billboard 200 in history - 62k. Made it to the Top 5 of Digital Sales Debut Weeks in the US in 2022 (#6 in the pure sales list). "The Astronaut" was charting on the Billboard Worldwide Digital Songs Sales chart for 7 weeks. Jin is the highest-peaking K-pop soloist on the Billboard Hot 100 in Japan this decade (#4) and the first foreign artist to top the Oricon Sales chart in the past 11 years. He became the first soloist to get a gold certificate for a single album on Circle (Gaon) after becoming a million-seller there. He also received an RIA certificate in Japan after surpassing 104k sales in a single day.

“Are you trying to push me out of the group? Is that what this is?!” Jin angrily threw down the paper, the song that they were supposed to record next, on your desk, “You couldn't get me to leave while we were dating so now this is payback?”
“I never wanted you to leave, Seokjin,” you looked up at him, “And I don't want you to leave now. You're an important part of Bangtan, our break-up doesn't change that.”
“And so why do I only get one line in the entire song?!”
“Because I want you to have a solo on this album,” that made Jin's eyes widen, his jaw drop and him literally having to sit down because as far as he knew, nobody got a solo on this album. He was.. shocked to hear those words, that’s how rare it was for him to get a chance to sing on his own, “You'd be the only one so I had to make a choice. You get the least lines on this track, but you get the only solo.”
You got up from your desk and stopped for a moment when you stood right beside him, “You always thought the worst of me, Jin. And seeing how you react now makes me think breaking up with you was the best choice I could have made..”
He felt like the biggest idiot ever.

“No,” was the first thing that Yoongi said after you told him about the final version of the song, “I get two lines, that's not enough.”
“Yes, well, Yoongi, I got approximately four hours of your time every seven days of the week during all our relationship, you'll just have to deal with it this time.”
“You're ridiculous, don't play the upset little girl, you're better than that,” Yoongi shook his head, “We worked together before we became a couple and we were good at that, better than we ever were at dating and don't you dare tell me otherwise.”
You were quiet, knowing that he was right.
“I wish it would have worked out, (Y/N), I really do, but it didn't.. we both just have to accept that and try to make it work as colleagues again. I can do that.. can you?”
You suddenly felt really embarrassed that you acted that way.. he didn't deserve it, it wasn't entirely his fault that this relationship had failed.
And he was right, you were good together before the relationship.
You wanted it to be like that again too.
“Let’s.. try to find another solution, then.”

“Hello, J-Hope,” you said nonchalantly when he entered your office, clearly having expected him.
“Oh, we're at stage names now, huh? Fine, then, Producer (Y/L/N). What the fuck is this?!” he showed you the text messages of Namjoon where he told Hoseok that he wouldn't get a single rap verse in the new song, “Your doing, I take it?”
“Ah, yes. That's right,” you smiled up at him. Sweetly, but so fucking fake, “I just thought that Namjoon's rap style fit the song more, you know?”
“Did you now?” both of you were so angry at each other, yet you were trying so hard to play it sweet and nice.
Everyone had told you from the start that dating someone you were working with would end badly, that once you'd break up, you'd have a massive issue.
And that's what it ended up being.
Such an issue that you had to leave BigHit because you just couldn't work with him anymore. And that was sad, but in the long run.. it was better for both of your careers.

“Hoseok is a good rapper, Yoongi equally as good.. they deserve the lines they got.”
That was Namjoon's reaction to you giving him barely any lines in their new song because you wanted to be an asshole after the break-up.
And it totally backfired.
Because what it did, was make you regret that you ever left this sweet and caring man. What it did, was turn you into this pathetic ex-girlfriend who desperately wanted him back.
But Namjoon didn't fall for it.
He might be good hearted, but he finally, after years of working on it, was at the point where he loved himself most. And he wouldn't be with someone who didn't love him just as much in the first place.

Your phone had been going off non-stop and finally, after the 10th missed call, you answered.
“I just got out of work, am taking a bath right now and want to relax, so whatever this is, it better be an emergency.”
“Why did you give me only five lines?!”
Your head fell back, your eyes rolling in annoyance, “I really don't want to have this conversation right now, Jimin. If you have a problem, talk to Namjoon.”
“I already did, he said you made the call and said you thought Taehyung and Jin should finally get some more lines.”
“I meant that.”
“No, you're getting back at me for breaking up with you.”
“Do you think I'm that petty?”
Maybe slightly. But the truth was that you had favored Jimin a lot because of you two dating and maybe neglected Jin and Taehyung a little bit too much in the past. Now that you weren't with Jimin anymore, you finally wanted to give them the chance to shine more, even if a little late.
And Jimin just had to accept that for once.

“You at least could have put on some proper pants,” Taehyung stood in your office with sweatpants just barely covering his ass, making you think he came here as soon as you sent them the final version of the song.
“What is this, huh? Revenge?”
“It's business, no need to get upset over it,” you didn't even look at him properly, continued scribbling something down on your iPad.
But Taehyung had enough. He already had so few lines already and now he feared that he'd get even less just because you two had broken up a month ago.
He walked around your desk and spun your chair around until he was towering over you.
“You really want to do this the hard way, (Y/N)?”
And despite your break-up.. the sexual tension just unfortunately never went away..
“Try me.”
Yeah.. he got what he wanted, of course he did. You could never say no to him, not when you were dating and not now.. whatever it was that you two were now. But when he made you feel so good, you would say anything and promise him the world if only he kept doing to your body what he did.

“What is this?” you furrowed your eyebrows when you found him sitting cross-legged in front of your apartment with a bouquet of flowers.
“An apology.”
“We're not getting back together, Jeongguk, I told you.”
“I know.. it's not that,” he got up and held out the flowers to you, “I know you gave me less lines in the new song because of what happened. I know that our break-up is my fault and that you want revenge now, but please don't do it that way. I'm sorry that I hurt you, (Y/N) and asking you to be professional about it would be unfair after everything that happened. So I just hope that my sincere apology will do and will help us work together.. that’s all I want. Us to be able to work together..”
He has never been this serious.. and you appreciated his apology and his honesty, even if your heart didn’t want to give in so easily.
But your brain was thankfully stronger this time.
You let out a sigh and took the flowers, “Do you want to come inside? Maybe.. we should talk it out.”
“Please..”

The day the album drops, the group is on edge the whole morning. It's been this way every comeback. The members are progressively moodier until the morning of, then they become eerily quiet.
The second the clock ticks past the release date, there's a group sigh of relief. Map of the Soul: Dream is out in the world, and people are streaming it by the millions. No more writing, no more recording, no more producing: the brainchild of Bangtan is out.
Finally.
The hour after the release, the interviews begin. The band is scheduled for events from the initial release panel in Seoul all the way to interviews across the world. The next few weeks are going to be packed with speaking engagements and travel. Normally, this is where you let the managers take over since it's not common for producers to travel for these kinds of things. On any other album, you'd wave to them as they left for the airport and scurry back to the safety and familiarity of the studio.
But you just had to have your name put on the album.
"Oh, no," Namjoon says, grasping the hood of your sweatshirt as you attempt to do just that. "Don't think you're getting out of this panel."
Turning towards the leader with a scowl, you retort, "I'm not a member, Joon. This isn't where I'm supposed to be. This is your guys' time to shine. I belong in a studio."
He shakes his head adamantly. "Your name's on the album, several times I might add. Writer, producer, and artist. They may have looked over the writing and producing rolls in the past, but now?"
"Not gonna happen," Taehyung snickers as he makes his way towards the Big Hit dressing room.
"I think people are more intrigued by you then they are by us," Jimin agrees, coming out of the hair and makeup room looking picture-perfect. "This is year eight for us. You're something new in the mix."
You resist the urge to roll your eyes. "The media likes anything new and shiny."
"I heard you talking to Seokjin about this yesterday," Namjoon replies. "What did he say?"
Narrowing your eyes, you pull your hood out of his grasp with a pout. "He said I should do it."
This only causes Namjoon to smirk, knowing he's got you. He cups a hand next to his ear and leans down, as if trying to hear you. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that?"
Instead of dignifying his teasing with a response, you shove the leader a bit, earning a laugh from the gentle giant. "They'll get to see me on tour. Why isn't that enough?"
"Y'know, I like her point," Jungkook grins adjusting the tie around his neck. He, too, has been primed and ready for the panel. "We can just go straight to tour and skip all this."
Hoseok enters the room, followed closely by Manager Sejin. The two men are also ready for the day's events, and you realize you're not getting out of this.
"For what it's worth, these things are really fun if you ignore the cameras and pushy paps," he says, playfully linking his arm with yours. Smiling brightly at you, he turns and escorts you towards the dressing room, much to the awe and surprise of the others. "And that's why we have security: to keep those away. This is as much part of tour as actually performing."
Once out of earshot of the others, you turn to Hoseok and mumble, "Yeah...I guess I'm just a little nervous. I remember how the press treated you boys when you first debuted. It was less than kind."
"You're tough as nails, [Y/n]. You Mins are another breed altogether. Trust me, if Jimin can do it, you can, too."
"I heard that!"
Hoseok giggles and gestures towards the dressing room, where the stylist has picked out a few options for outfits. They're all pretty, and go perfectly with the boys' album-themed attire.
"You got this," he states, letting you go and giving you two, big thumbs up.
You sarcastically mirror both his expression and gestures. "I hope so!"
Once everyone is dressed to the nines and dolled up, you're escorted to a Big Hit vehicle and sent on your way to the panel. This is far from the first time that BTS as a group has done something like this. In fact, you've attended once before, for the Map of the Soul: Persona release. It was inside one of the largest conference halls in downtown Seoul, and the seats were packed with photographers, journalists, interviewers, and even Army. Everyone was ecstatic about the release, and you can feel that same energy in the air today, despite being two members short.
As the group piles in the building, you feel Jimin and Taehyung take both of your hands. Your best friend and oldest friends are the first to notice how out of place you feel. The lights, the cameras, the crowds; it's not that you're not used to them, but they've never been focused on you before.
"You got this," Jimin murmurs, pressing a quick kiss to your cheek before he leads the trio through the auditorium doors.
From backstage, you can easily see the ramp that leads to the stage, and the setup in the center. The backdrop is a large, lavender canvas, covered in a larger version of the white outline of the plum blossom album art for 'Dream.' The host of the panel is a well-known personality in the k-pop industry, and as he makes his introductions of the event to those gathered in the seats, you attempt to calm yourself by taking deep breaths.
In your pocket, your phone buzzes twice. Pulling it out, you swipe across the screen, seeing two texts from Seokjin.
"I know you're nervous, but just take those deep breaths like I told you. Hold it in, and then slowly let it out. Seven seconds in, hold, and out. And trust the boys. They won't let anyone ask you questions that are inappropriate or rude. They have your back, Jagiya." The second says, "You got this. I believe in you. If I can do it, you're going to knock it out of the park."
A relieved smile slips onto your face, and you shoulders relax as you text a swift, grateful reply. As you hit send, Jimin reaches once more for your hand and tugs you towards the stage.
"Time to shine," he says with a grin. "Are you good?"
You give a single, assured nod and walk proudly behind him onto the stage. The lights and sounds drown out into a single, mute note as you find yourself being guided to a seat between Hoseok and Jungkook, near the edge of the panel. You're farthest from Namjoon, for which you're grateful in a way; as the leader of the group, he ends up doing most of the talking. Physically distancing yourself from him might be the best idea to keep you from having to speak for the group.
Once the basic introductions are made, even though everyone already knows who everyone else is, the questions from the host begin. The first few are easy questions about the album itself, the making and inspiration and work that went into it. He asks about everyone's roles and the sub units, as well as how they've handled the comeback for the last installment of Map of the Soul. The boys, mostly Namjoon, answer in their usual fashion, both elegant and truthful in their dialogue.
Then, the inevitable questions start to slip in.
"How has it been preparing for an album and tour without two of your most senior members?"
"We'd be lying if we said it's been easy," Namjoon chuckles, trying to answer the host in the most graceful way possible. "Suga and Jin did a lot of work on 'Dream' before they left to do their service, so we still feel as if they're with us, in a way. Jin has his solo track on the album, and it's one he recorded before he left. Suga did much of the songwriting and producing, per usual. But it has been hard. It's been a struggle for all of us to adjust without them, especially when preparing for the tour."
The host nods to you next, and you feel your stomach drop. "But it seems you're not completely rid of a Min family influence. Ms. Min [Y/n], how has it been working with BTS so closely on this project?"
Namjoon gives a small nod of reassurance as you lean forward to speak into the microphone in front of you. "Well...I actually have always worked as a producer on BTS' albums, so this one wasn't so different."
"But this time you're featured on the album as well, is that right?"
Swallowing dryly, you shake your head in agreement. Hoseok places a calming hand on your knee under the table, and you force yourself to take a deep breath in like Seokjin instructed.
"Yes, I am."
"What brought that about?"
"Well, I had released my track 'Silhouette' on Soundcloud a little bit before, and it had gained a lot of traction amongst Armys. When it came time to decide the final track lineup for 'Dream,' Bang Si-hyuk-nim brought up the idea to include it." You nod down towards Namjoon with a smile. "RM thought it was a great idea, and while I didn't agree at first, eventually I came around. The story 'Silhouette' tells fits in perfectly with the narrative in 'Dream.' We added the track, and the rest is history."
The host nods, listening to your answer intently. "So does this make you the eighth member of BTS, or a stand-in for your brother?"
While trying to remain respectful, you can't help but laugh at the question. "Not even close. Everyone knows that there's only one Suga, only one Min Yoongi, and no one will ever come close to replacing my brother. I'm not trying to become the eighth member of BTS, nor am I trying to replace Suga or Jin. I'm a new artist that's being featured on the next album, just like any previous collaboration. The only difference here is that I happen to be related to one of the members. Those artists...they're one-of-a-kind. If I'm a stand-in for either of them, I'd probably fire myself for doing such a sh—sloppy job."
Your last comment earns a chuckle from the host, as well as the audience behind him. "I see you're quite a lot like your brother in many ways, so it's comforting to know that the band still has a Min on their side, even while Suga and Jin are away at service."
Jimin leans forward to speak into his mic, turning his head so he can flash a wink in your direction. "Yeah, she's been like glue for us this past year."
"We're glad to have her on board," Namjoon agrees. "And both Jin and Suga approved all of this, both before and after they left, so there's that extra bit of encouragement."
"So will we expect to see you on the Dream Tour?" Both the host and the rest of the audience go silent, waited with bated breath for your response.
Flashing a small smile, you attempt to hide your nerves when you reply, "You'll see me in a little over a month at the opening in Seoul...and every stop after that."
After the remaining hour of the launch event is over, and the press starts to slip out of the auditorium, the members are escorted backstage to the changing rooms. The announcements being made, from now until Tour begins, the six of you are going to spend the majority of your time traveling for events. You've looked at the calendar and have seen the stops planned. Busan is next, then Tokyo, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Macau, Los Angeles, and New York City. You even recall seeing a handful of stops in Europe, Australia, and South America, as the fanbase has grown exponentially on those continents.
"That went perfectly," Sejin says as the members come off-stage. He nods to you with a proud expression. "You were amazing. All of you."
Jimin scurries over to you and wraps you in a tight hug. "I knew you could do it," he murmurs against your shoulder. "Proud of you, [Y/n]-ah."
Your heart swells at their reassurance, and you pat Jimin's shoulder as a silent thank you. "How can you be sweaty after two hours of sitting?" you tease, shoving him off you.
The blonde scoffs, feigning a hurt expression. "Those lights are bright! And I'm wearing Gucci!"
"Does money make you perspire?"
"Go get changed," Hoseok laughs, separating you two like a mother with her children. "We need to get on to Busan, and tomorrow we fly to Nagoya!"
"Ahhh, now I really miss Jin-hyung and his amazing Japanese skills," Taehyung groans. "I should've practiced more."
The group laughs at his self-inflicted banter and begins the process of changing into travel clothes for the short trip across South Korea.
"How are we getting to Busan?" you ask.
"Can we vote?" Jungkook asks, raising his hand dramatically. "'Cause I vote train."
Sejin shakes his head. "We have a jet already reserved."
The youngest member extends his hand towards the manager, eyes intent and fist closed. "Rock-paper-scissors for it?"
Though amused, Sejin merely points to the dressing room. "Get changed, Jungkookie."
"But—" All Sejin has to do is look directly at the brunet, cock an eyebrow, and cross his arms, and the maknae is grinning apologetically and running for the dressing room. "Plane it is!"
