Whumptober Day 7

Uta

"Uta." Luffy popped his head in the treehouse, smiling when he saw his friend there sitting against the bark. "Uta!" He climbed onto the platform, going over to her. "You won't believe the treasure we got today-" Luffy paused, seeing the girl has made no reaction. He pouted and began poking her cheek. "Uta... Uta... Can you hear me?"

"What are you whining about now, crybaby?" Ace grunted as he climbed into the treehouse, followed by Sabo.

"Uta sleeping so I can't tell her about the treasure we got," Luffy huffed, sitting in front of her with his arms and legs crossed.

"Just wake her up dumbie."

"I can't, she's a heavy sleeper."

"Eh? Seriously?" Sabo looked surprised. "But she always wakes up if we move too much in our sleep." He scratched his head looking at their sister.

"That's different," Luffy stated.

"How?" Sabo asked, only to receive a shrug from Luffy in response. Sabo deadpanned.

"Just yell in her ear like we do to each other." Ace went over to Uta.

"Wait, Ace don't-" Luffy tried to warn Ace but he already moved Uta's headphones.

"AHH!" Uta jumped awake, fearful eyes darting everywhere.

"Uta, Uta, calm down, you're just with us." Luffy reassured her while Ace rubbed his ears.

"Luffy?" The girl focused her gaze on him, slowly her heart rate return to a regular pace. She placed her hands over her ears, frowning when nothing were covering them. "Who took my headphones." All eyes fell on Ace who is currently finding that catapiller climbing the wall to be very interesting.

"Ace..." Sabo's tone hinted that the ravenette should probably apologize.

"Okay, I did it." Ace held out the headphones. "I didn't think anything bad would happen."

He took a step forward, creaking a floorboard. Instantly, Uta hissed in pain as a thousand needles stung her ears. Using one hand to snatch the headphones as the other attempted to ease her ears, she hastily snapped the device back over her ears, sighing in relief.

"Don't do that again," Uta said, glaring at Ace.

"Why are they so important anyways?" Ace asked.

"Her ears hurt from all the noises everywhere if she's not wearing them," Luffy bluntly states pointing at her. Uta was about to protest but shut her mouth when Luffy technically explained it. The strawhat boy then turned the singer. "Can I tell you about the treasure we snagged today now?"

Uta nodded and Luffy cheered, leaving the other two brothers with more inquiries about their sister.

Half asleep very very dumb one piece fic prompt where canon straw hats somehow end up in a modern AU waking up in their counterparts bodies and are so confused.

Luffy wakes up somewhere he doesn't recognize doesn't have his devil fruit powers and then runs into Sabo and Ace, while Luffy is freaking out suddenly Crocodile shows up, Luffy finding out Crocodile is his dad. Luffy is acting off and of course Sabo and Ace are in overprotective brother mode and Crocodile is in overprotective dad mode and already calling their doctor, who he has on speed dial because Sabo, Ace and Luffy are agents of chaos and it is not the first time there has been a panicked call to the doctors.

Although Kureha hasn't picked up because she's already got the freaking out call from Hiriluk who is freaking out because Chopper is freaking out because Chopper has not only woken up with his dad alive but is human, Kureha is to busy dealing with the pair of crying panicking messes to answer her phone for a while, and has a lot of missed form calls not just from Crocodile.

Mihawk is also calling haven come home to a freaking out Perona and Zoro, and for some reason Zoro is asking why Perona isn't floating. Her can only assume that a hit to the head for sparring finally got through Zoro's thick skull.

Nami and Usopp are also in major freak outs having woken up to dead parents now alive. Brook more the freak out that he is now alive as well as Yorki also being alive.

Sanji may be freaking out worst as he woke up to see all his siblings and went straight to panic attack, only to cause almost all his siblings into one as well, these Vinsmokes have been raised by Sora and Zeff after Judge got 0 custody rights in the divorce and all very VERY overprotective siblings Sanji has literally had to threaten all of them and get his mom to threaten all of them to be able to go out on a date with Zoro without at least one sibling hanging around as a shadow.

Robin and Franky have a different but still major freak out waking up together, and then proceed to freak out more when seeing missed calls from Tom and Saul.

Bonus: Sabo suggests calling Dragon to help out because he has been trying to parent trap their dad and Luffy's other dad who is like his mentor and he's been trying to get them, back together for years. Ace deeply deeply disagrees thinking their dad can do way better. Crocodile is currently 110% done still trying to call Kureha and also try and convince Luffy that no he is not made of rubber.

As for Dabi, bro- he's way more emotional. My dude has tears streaming down his face as he finally hugs you.

Like I'm seeing Rei and Enji had gotten custody of you after Rei framed Dabi and made him kill cops. And maybe it took a couple of years (maybe 5, maybe 10) before Dabi was finally able to come out of hiding and with proof that he was framed or something to prove he was innocent. And then it was the start of a year long custody battle, and all the odds were stacked against him, especially since Enji and Rei had a whole firm working for them while Dabi only had 1 lawyer (someone like Saul Goodman lol) that he had blackmailed into working for him.

Dabi had to see Rei drag you to court and have you witness as the lawyers pulled up his past criminal life and all his villainous activities to prove that he was unfit to be a father. He hated the way they brainwashed you, the way they tried to turn you against him. He could bare it all, but he couldn't live with you fearing him. Not you.

Rei had gotten a restraining order against Dabi that prevented him from reaching out to you in any way until the custody battle was over. He couldn't even talk to you, defend himself, tell you that it's all a lie.

After 6 months of court hearing, Dabi earned ti feel that he was gonna lose the case. So he decided to do something he never wanted to do.

He went to Enji for help.

Dabi asked him to drop the custody battle, that they could both have joint custody of you, to help his son that he knows isnt as vile as they potray him. But Enji told him "I know, son, I know. But your mother- she wants full custody of Y/n. She wants you out of her life, forever." And Enji didn't budge, as much as it hurt him to watch Dabi beg on knees to help him, he couldn't.

Another month passes and the reality of losing you forever to Rei is dawning on him. It makes him depressed, he stops eating, stops sleeping, stops taking care of himself.

It isn't until the doorbell rings and his siblings walk in. They're shocked at his state, and immediately start taking care of him. Fuyumi cooked food, Shotou cleaned up around the house and Natsuo checked on Dabi.

Dabi only played around with food as he kept thinking about you. "So, how is Y/n?" He asks Natsuo, and he sees how the 3 of them share a concerned look.

"We haven't seen her... in a while."

Dabi's eyes flick up at them. "What?"

"Dabi." Fuyumi grabs his hand. "Mom- she hasn't allowed us to see Y/n for a long time now."

"How long?"

"A year."

"What?!"

"She's been keeping her at home too. Locked up ever since you demanded custody." Shotou said. "She's not a nice person."

Dabi looked at his youngest brother. "What do you mean?"

The 3 shared another look before Natsuo spoke. "Mom... she's not in the right state of mind. She's very paranoid, and as much as she loves Y/n, sometime.... her paranoia gets the best of her, and Y/n gets hurt because of it."

Dabi couldn't believe what he was hearing. Rei- she'd been hurting you? All this time, all this time that she insisted that she loves you- she's been hurting you.

"Dabi." Fuyumi called out to him. "We need to save Y/n."

"How?"

"We've got some stuff that'll help you." Natsuo smiled.

"We'll show up at court even if we have to." Shotou promised.

And for the first time in months, Dabi felt like he had a fighting chance against Rei.

"Okay."

Natsuo pulled some strings and got Rei's past medical history (aka the part where she was put into an asylum). Fuyumi had a few pictures of wounds on your body that you'd gotten from Rei (and Fuyumi took these pictures in the past to ask Natsuo for medical help). And Shotou? He spoke up as witness to Rei's abusive behaviour towards you, and to him in the past when she'd thrown hot water on him.

And just like that, Dabi had won the case.

All I can see is you just being frazzled as Dabi hugs you to his chest, and starts crying. You're confused and scared because Rei had told you that he was a bad man. But... he doesn't feel like it. He feels so warm, so familiar.

He feels like home.

Reluctantly, you put your arms around hum and burry your head into his chest, sobbing.

"D-dad?"

Dabi just crumbles to his knees right there and then, pulling you down with him. It's been far too long since he heard you call him that.

"Its me, baby. Its me." He hugs you tighter. "I told you I'd come back, didn't I?"

You cried harder. And Dabi could understand why. He just kisses your forehead and rocks back and forth with you. "I'm sorry I took so long. But its gonna be okay now."

His siblings run over and join in on the hug, and Dabi feels complete.

It's gonna be okay.

And then you live happily ever after with your father and his siblings💖💖💖

I'm going to create a One Piece Au, and since I was addicted to Blue Eye Samurai, I created an oc inspired by Mizu

I read a fanfic about Makino along with ASL having to leave Fuusha to keep them safe (from ScribeWire, ao3), and I saw the AU 'Saul Siblings' (@andstuffsketches) in which I was very in love with both AUs, and halfway through, I saw an AU of Straw Hats as 'villains' and I thought, I want to create an AU!!

So, after holding out for some years, I’ve started watching Bridgerton. I needed some drama that wouldn’t keep me up at night (sorry Better Call Saul, you’re just too violent for me) and to see ridiculous clothing. I’m on S1.5, my impressions so far in no particular order:

1) Why does Netflix add so many sex scenes? And so...intense. Not in a good way. I get it, it’s not network TV, but sheesh. Is it just for the scandal/gossip factor? IDK, I’m the weirdo who’ll eagerly read 10,000 words of AO3 smut, but I’m super turned off by photo or video sex scenes.

2) I recognize that many details are inaccurate, pat myself on the back for noticing, and then suspend my disbelief in favor of some good drama.

3) DAPHNE HAS A WHITE WEDDING DRESS, OMG THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS PRAYING WOULD NOT HAPPEN!!! She’s getting married before Queen Victoria is even born! NO. WHITE. WEDDINGS. That goes for the cake, too.

4) I don’t think I’ve ever heard much about the younger sons of gentry in media (Loki, as usual, is the exception, but also an alien god, so...). It’s usually a family with 80 daughters trying to find a male heir. Really interesting to see the other side!

5) I genuinely feel bad for Lord Featherbottom or whoever. Gambling addiction is barely understood today, let alone back then. There’s no way he could ever get the help he needs.

6) At the same time, dick move. His family is trapped by his poor decisions with no way to support themselves if he squanders everything.

7) Anthony’s hypocrisy around sex is quite accurate and representative of gender roles but also irritates the living daylights out of me.

8) Also, people seem to think Anthony is the hot brother, but he’s honestly so annoying, all I want to do it punch him right in those obnoxious mutton chops of his.

9) I’m so grateful to the Bridgerton parents for naming their kids alphabetically. I am so bad at remembering names and ages, this at least gives me an extra memory tool.

10) I feel like the sibs actually act like siblings, for the most part. They love each other, and yes, they snip at each other, but no one seems out to ruin lives (unlike the Crawley sisters).

11) I like that Simon and Daphne don’t have a perfect relationship or have a grand realization before getting married. It feels very Fake Marriage AU/Only 1 Bed/Friends to enemies to friends to lovers, and my little fanfic’er heart loves it.

Meet Saul (Salutations) and Tod (Toodles) Kratt! Two chaotic, energetic, siblings and zoologist, fascinated mostly with big and dangerous animals. Tough love, competitive, and even scary, are words the Kratt Crew uses to describe this guys.

But how did Aviva, Koki and Jimmy ended up with this two? You see, the Creature Power Suit its not a safe invention, lets be honest. It worked in theory, but it was gonna be hard to find someone willing to use it. After months of searching, they came across some news about two brothers going to dangerous places to document animals and their habitats. Willing to put their lives in danger only to study animals? They were perfect for the job.

It was too easy to convince them.
