I will make no excuses. This is the biggest example of self indulgent art ive done since my birthday last year. I have no fucking clue what au this is. I jsut wanted to draw Sabo as a sheep, Ace as slutty and greasy as i could with him still being hot in my eyes, and luffy with adorable little bear ears. Also that shading on luffy’s pic was really fun to make.

I had a physical reaction to drawing the little animals. Theyre. Everything. To me.

Why luffy is bear- bears are so food motivated i love them.

Why sabo is sheep- rebelling against fate’s design, breaking from herd mentality, etc etc

Why ace is coyote- it’s really funny how people keep thinking theyre cats or dogs and take them in but theyre just feral creatures. Very similar to Ace me thinks.

I wanted to make luffy and ace typical predators of sheep. Something something them born to destroy the system of all that has ever been (harking back to that herd mentality) something something also breaking that promise too to be brothers with someone from that system

Here it is! In which Ace picks up a different shipwrecked masked aspiring adventure-novelist on Sixis :)

Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU

Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask

This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it

In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.

He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius

I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!

I really like that epithet lmao

alrighty!! trigun au is coming 🫡

but first, a lengthy explanation of trigun stuff/au backstory

so, it all takes place on a wild-west desert planet where people rely on plants (alien-like organisms that produce energy and stuff) for survival.

up in space, a research ship from earth is nearby, and on that ship are two rare “independant” plants, (they have free will) sabo and luffy

long story short, ship crashes onto the desert planet and the little goobers fall right into the yard of a local group of criminals turned-orphanage (dadan ofc)

they befriend an orphan living there, and become brothers

a few years later, sabo is kidnapped in a criminal conflict (wild west, amirite?) and assumed dead

(spoilers, he’s actually starting a plant revolution and killing people 😳)

meanwhile, ace and luffy wander the planet as a crime solving (causing) duo, most recently investigating the serial murders and plant robberies

so basically just think of it as a really fucked up cowboy au

Garp is the funniest character of One Piece because he's a marine and yet he had a revolutionary son and then three grandsons who are basically: A communist, an arsonist, and an anarchist.
