welcome to the fruity four apartment, where every day eddie puts this exact sign on the front door and nancy promptly replaces it with one that says “doorbell broken! please knock :)” they are informally at war because of this (don’t worry they are still besties)

Silk Chiffon (why wouldn't it be?)
Tumblr media
Robin Buckley x Nancy Wheeler
Summary: Robin can read Nancy like her favourite book, it just takes her a few tries to get the translation right.
Warnings: coming out, demisexual Nancy, anxiety about the future ad regrets from the past. first kiss, love confessions
a/n: i know demisexuality wasn't coined till like 2004/2008 (depending on the source) but it just fits here and so I'm using it
word count: 2k
Tumblr media
Robin can tell something is up. They’re trying to sleep, laying side by side in her twin bed, Robin facing her while she stares up at the ceiling. Eyes open, hands interlocked and laying on her stomach, her breathing is a little too fast. Like her thoughts are racing and therefore, her heart must be, too.
“Do you want to talk?” Robin whispers.
Nancy lets out a deep sigh, “no… but yes.”
“You can tell me anything,” she reminds her. After all they’ve been through, there’s nothing Robin can’t handle now.
“Can I ask you a question?”
She nods, “yeah, of course.”
She scoots a little closer to Nancy as she turns to face robin, inches from her face now, so her whispers can’t be heard by anyone else. “Are you… asexual?”
“What? No?” Robin’s absolutely shocked by that. “Why would you think I am?”
“Cause Steve hits on anything with a pulse and you’ve never gotten with him. You’re so adamant that you’re platonic with a capital P and he obviously would respect you if you turned him down but like… you guys don’t flirt. Steve flirts with everyone, but not you?” She explains, rambling a bit which is so unlike her.
“He did try and tell me he had a thing for me… when we were high, after the Russian’s… but I uh, I um, I’m—” she tries to swallow, to get some moisture back in her mouth. Terrified that this is where the friendship dies. This is why she never had sleepovers before. Telling someone the truth after spending so many nights side by side can only end one way. Disgust. Betrayal. Being kicked out and humiliated in the middle of the night.
“Robin,” she reaches out and soothes her hand over her shoulder and down her arm. “It’s okay.”
She takes a deep breath, nodding slightly. “I’m a lesbian.”
“That’s wonderful,” Nancy smiles at her. “I’m proud of you for telling me… I love that you trust me.”
Robin feels like crying but she doesn’t, she just lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding for so long, “thank you. Really.”
“How did you know?” Nancy asks. “Like, did you always know or did it sneak up on you?”
“Oh, I uh, I always knew,” she explains. “Like… when all the other girls were swooning over boys, I was so disgusted by it. My mom thought I was just a late bloomer but then, then I got a crush. I didn’t think it was a crush but the more I thought about it, the more I was so worried I was just obsessed with her. Like a freak.”
“That’s how I felt about Steve at first,” she explains. “But that’s just because I thought that was what you were supposed to do when you like someone.”
“Yeah, it feels so intense you just want to look at them and be near them and—and relate to them, so you become who they want to get closer to them and you lose a bit of yourself,” Robin rants. “I hate it. I wish someone would like me for me, that someone could see me for who I really am and stay who they really are and we can stay happy together.”
“I want that too,” she sighs.
“We’ll find it,” Robin gives her a little smile.
“Would it be okay for me to tell you a secret now?”
“Why wouldn't it be?”
“When I was touring the campus in Boston, mom went to find a payphone so she could call home and see if Holly was okay… I went to the store to get a sweater but I ended up finding all the textbooks for each course and—and I bought the book for the human sexualities class,” she explains. “And I read it all.”
“Can I read it next?” Robin asks, thinking nothing of it. Nancy loves to learn, there’s nothing wrong with that.
“Yeah, it’s just…” she bites her lip for a second. “Have you ever heard of demisexuality?”
She shakes her head, “no.”
“The way the book described it is basically someone who only develops sexual feelings for someone or enjoys and initiates sex with someone who they’re emotionally close with,” she explains.
“Makes sense,” Robin nods along. “So, is that why you asked if I’m asexual?”
She nods, “Yeah… and because I think that’s me.”
“Oh?”
“With Steve, the first time was so— not bad, but uncomfortable. I wanted to, at least I thought I did. I thought lying to your parents and going to a boy's house to drink beer and have your first time was such a normal teenage girl thing to do that I did it. But I didn’t enjoy myself—
“Most girls don’t the first time,” Robin validates her feelings. “I’m not saying you’re not demisexual, I’m just saying that’s normal.”
“I know it is, but… then I kept dating Steve. I did fall in love with him, he was a good friend to me and the sex did get better, which I know you don’t want to hear about but—
“I don’t mind,” she giggles slightly. “I always knew he wasn’t as good as he bragged to be.”
Nancy laughs too, “he was good. It just took me a while to initiate it and have fun and then there was Jonathan. It was so different with him, that first time was so good. It was months of building a friendship and an understanding that bubbled to the top and it was wonderful. But then it died. As we drifted apart, as he stopped being my best friend, the longer we weren’t together, the harder it was to keep loving him.”
Robin nods, “And that happened with Steve too?”
“No. No, it faded with Steve because of Jonathan. Like, I have a one-track mind when it comes to love and whoever my best friend is at the time is the only person I want to be with. And I hate myself for that,” she explains.
“You were also a teenage girl, I mean, you still are,” Robin talks her off the ledge. “You’re 18. You don’t need to have all the answers and be 100% perfect all the time. I mean there are adults in their 30s and 40s who cheat and ruin families all the time, you’re not like that. You have time to learn who you are and what you like and be truly loved. It’ll be okay.”
Nancy starts to cry a bit, “I don’t think it will…”
“Hey,” Robin moves in closer, pulling her in against her chest, she runs her hand over Nancy’s back. “You will. You are loved. Very loved.”
“That’s why I’m so scared. I don’t want to lose this,” she whispers, her voice smaller than it’s ever been. She hugs Robin so close, “If I love you… if we get together just to go to different colleges and spend days not talking, it’ll dwindle and die like everything else and I can’t lose you. You’re my favourite friend I’ve had in a long time.”
“So that’s why you asked… cause if I was asexual we couldn’t hook up and you wouldn’t lose me,” Robin pieces it all together.
She just nods against her, “I have loved this time so much. I love how we talk about everything. I love how we can do nothing and still enjoy it because we're together. I love that life with you is so easy and fun and—and I just love you.”
Robin simply kisses the top of her head before resting her cheek against her, “I love you too… but unlike those two idiots, I’m not going to let the best girl I’ve ever known in my whole life just walk away. You’re going to get sick of me. I’m going to call you in Boston, and I’m going to come visit when I can, we’ll be home for Thanksgiving, Christmas and spring break and if you get a summer internship in Boston, I can come out there for the summer. If I get to love you, to really love you, I’m making it work for the long run.”
“Is Steve going to be okay with it?” She worries more.
Robin just laughs, “Yeah, seeing as he’s had to listen to me pine over you for months now, he knows. He’s okay… he has someone special of his own now. I’ll let him tell you who, but he’s okay. He’s moved on. We’re allowed to be happy.”
Nancy lets out a relieved laugh, holding Robin even tighter. “Oh my god, it feels so good to tell you. I have been thinking about this for weeks. Months maybe.”
“You have a killer poker face then,” Robin teases. “I thought you were so straight.”
“I did too,” Nancy whispers, adjusting her head so she’s closer to Robin’s throat. She gives her a little kiss, “Then I spent a week with you and something brewed and all I could think about was seeing you again, and talking to you again and kissing you to get you to shut up.”
Robin laughs, “Yeah, that’s one way to do it.”
Nancy straddles her, a knee on both sides of her hips, her arms wrapped around her middle, she keeps kissing the side of her neck. “I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long.”
“I’ve never been kissed before,” Robin admits. “I’ve never done anything, before… I’m not sure I’m ready to just jump into it, either.”
“I’m not ready for that either,” Nancy agrees, holding her tighter for a moment before she props herself up on her hands and leans over her. Her hair dangling down in Robin's face, she reaches up to push her hair back behind her ear. “But I would like to kiss you.”
“Please?” Robin all but begs.
Balancing on one hand, Nancy cups her face gently, rubbing her thumb over Robin’s cheek. She leans in slowly, savouring the moment, building anticipation before it happens.
One touch, 4 lips meet, one explosion, 2 lives better in an instant.
Suddenly, all at once, she understands the big bang. How something so small could create so much. She understands every love song and poem, every painting and sculpture… every depiction of the world from a lens of love and happiness and longing and belonging.
The kiss deepens, and she follows Nancy’s lead because she knows what she’s doing. Sure, she’s seen enough movies to get the gist of making out, but there’s something so different about experiencing it firsthand. The way her tongue feels so right against her own, how their lips move in tandem like they were programmed this way… how Nancy slips from her perch and rests her body weight on her and Robin's hands instinctively wrap around her and she holds her there.
Nancy brushes her hair back a few times, trying to get it out of Robin’s face and stop it from tickling her, but it keeps falling back down. Eventually, Robin misses the feel of her hand on her cheek, so she gathers Nancy’s hair in her hands and holds it as if her fist was a ponytail. To her surprise, Nancy just hums against her, thanking her while her tongue is in Robin's mouth.
She never wants this to end.
She could make out with Nancy for the rest of her life if she was allowed. They could never leave this bed again for all she cared. She would give up every early pleasure for Nancy’s.
When Nancy does eventually pull away, it’s just a millimetre before she rests her forehead against robins. She’s breathing just as deep as Robin, flushed and craving more but they said they wouldn’t. They can’t. It needs to be more special than in the middle of the night in the Wheeler’s house with people on either side of her walls and across the hall.
“I love you,” Nancy whispers.
“I love you,” she whispers right back. “There’s no getting rid of me now. You’re stuck with me, I hope you understand that.”
Nancy just giggles that beautiful giggle. “Good.”

I just saw video online of a Husband Calling competition at a state fair, and I can't stop thinking about the some of the pairings from Stranger Things entering:
Everyone thinks Eddie is gonna win, because he can silence Hellfire with two words, but no one has ever actually had to hear Steve call for Eddie, because he only ever has to do this when they are home alone. When Eddie is too quiet, and Steve knows he's up to no good. And Steve's call is shrill to say the least. People cower and put their fingers in their ears. Eddie looks on proudly, no one can see the ear plugs he's already put in his ears.
Argyle's "Broooooooooooo" call for his husband Jonathan both confuses and delights the crowd. Jonathan makes a bird noise with his hands and is immediately flanked by a bunch of guys in hunting gear trying to learn his secrets, and Argyle has to rescue him.
Robin tries to give her loud call for Nancy but because she's been shouting after everyone all day pointing out all the amazing things she spotted (Like the piglet with one ear smaller than the other) her voice is shot. Nancy wasn't going to enter this stupid thing but Robin looking so disappointed and Steve looking certain he's won, she steps up. She shouts Robin's name once so sternly and loudly that Robin jumps in fright, but then so do several other Robins in the crowd, and a small jack Russel of the same name. A few of them dropping their freshly purchased food stuff or local goods, all of them their eyes wide at the stage.
Nancy gets first place, and pins her ribbon on Robin.

nancy had rushed to your apartment the minute you had called her to let her know that you were back home. this, the calling, had only worked because the two girls had made a plan for you to follow once you would get back home. your face was all swollen and talking was already painful. so, nancy had urged you to just call her. she told you you wouldn't have to do any talking at all, just sit there and wait for her to pick up. once she had answered the phone, you did mumble a weak "nance" but your girlfriend was quick to cut you off. "you're home sweetheart?" she coed softly.
"hmh" you had nodded your head too, a weak and uncoordinated gesture that nancy couldn't see through the speaker. "it's okay, it's okay" nancy assured "i'm practically on my way already, alright? just wait a minute and I'll be there" you knew she had told you not to speak but you couldn't help yourself, maybe because of the remains of the drugs that were still running through your system. either way, you mumbled: "robbie...?" nancy on the other end just chuckled and you would've sworn to see the smile on her lips. "oh honey, robin is still at work. but I'll call them and let her know to come over right away once her shift is over okay?" this was, ultimately, how you ended up in the current situation. you're laying on your couch, trying to nap out both the pain and the leftovers of the medication when you hear the front door falling shut. one hand is laying against your temple, though this is not where your face stings when nancy comes walking in. "ow, y/n" she says and stops in the doorway to the living room. "what?" you try to speak. your cheeks are red and swollen and you know from the short time you spent in the bathroom that it is red too. "you look so cute" nancy adds and walks towards you. "you think my suffering is cute?" it is hard to understand you, with the gauze pads that are stuffed over the surgery wounds in your mouth but nancy does anyway. the brunette kneels down on the floor next to you to get a better look at the situation. she smiles and presses a kiss to your forehead while she whispers: "of course not, but you do look really sweet like this" you pout and nancy chuckles. "oh baby" she covers her mouth to oppress the laughter "i'm sorry, but that's just how it is" she gets up and moves your legs up so she can sit down as well. her hands rest on your knees when she leans back on the couch and watches you through her blue doe eyes. "seriously though, how are you feeling? how was the surgery?" "terrible" you manage and drop your head back dramatically "can you believe they took my teeth...?" "well, toothless" nancy claps her hands together "you're lucky i'm here because i-" she gets up again and strokes your hair out of your face right before pressing another kiss to your forehead. "-will be taking good care of you, okay?" and then, while she gently brushes her fingertips over the bride of your nose with a smile, she adds. "you're super brave you know that?" you look up at her. you can't help but find that she looks a bit funny like this, upside down, with her breath puffing against your skin warmly. but you don't tell her that. instead, you press down onto her nose with your index and giggle. "oh someone is still high on medication, huh?" nancy laughs. "it's alright. it'll pass and besides, i'm here now yeah?" you nod your head again, just as uncoordinated before and your girlfriend jumps to her feet. "alright, let's see what i brought for you, okay?" she turns but your whining makes her turn on her heel. "don't leave" you say and add your best puppy-dog eyes. "i'm not leaving, just walking over to get my bag" still, even though it is only for a minute, it feels too long. once she has returned, you cling to her hips while she runs you through the movies she has brought and the wisdom teeth removal friendly food she has found in her fridge on the way. "not yet" she reminds you when she catches you staring at the yogurt with wide, hungry eyes. you end up curled up on the couch against nancy. she has wrapped you up in blankets and pillows and is now sitting behind you with both arms around your body. she is occasionally leaning forward to make sure you're still up while the movie you have chosen is playing in the background. and while you are sleepy, you offer her little smiles whenever her face appears in the corner of your eyes to show that you're still up. her hands sit on your hips in a comforting manner and nancy kisses the back of your head gently every now and then all while whispering sweet nothings into your hair.
"you're so brave, you know?" she breathes and you hum in response. "you managed that surgery so well and-" the front door falls shut again and both of your heads turn in the direction of the hallway to find robin practically sprinting into the living room. she is still in her family video suit and her short, strawberry-blonde bob is all messy. she must've run all the way from the store down to your apartment, judging by the way she leans over her knees and pants while looking at both of her girlfriends cuddled up together. "hi there" she says and waves at you from where she's still standing. "robbie!" you call out happily, immediately wincing from the pain of jumping up like that and calling out to her. you simply can't help yourself, being surrounded by both of your best girls now. she walks towards you and smiles. "i came as quickly as possible" she points over her shoulder with her thumb "but there were like so many people out there somehow and i'm not the best runner. i'm the worst actually, so-" "robin" nancy smiles. she loves the other girl's rambles, but you're obviously growing impatient and she nods in your direction with her chin. "oh yeah" robin nods "of course." her gaze turns to you and an adoring smile flashes over her face when she catches the first glimpse of your swollen face. "look at you" she smiles and stops in front of you "did nancy take good care of your?" you nod your head a couple of times and nancy chuckles behind you. robin then turns to look at the tv. "oh my god, star wars?! without me? seriously?" she looks down at both of you in disbelief. "hey" nancy laughs "our post-surgery baby wanted to watch it. you can hardly get mad at her now, can you?" robin looks at you again, as if to make sure but then joins nancy in her laughter. "of course not" she bends over and gives nancy a quick peck on the lips before kissing your forehead as well. "unfair" you grumble and cross your arms. "don't worry" nancy assures "once you're healed we're gonna make up okay baby?" "you better" you cross your arms over your chest and robin smiles. "oh we will" she squeezes your hand. you spend the rest of the day curled up between your girlfriends. they take turns in holding you, since the couch won't fit 3 people, until your eyes threaten to fall shut. that is when you move away from the tv and into your bedroom. they help you change and switch the pads out in your mouth before laying you down gently. you're a little squished between both of their bodies but you don't mind as long as they're just close to you. when you wake up in the next morning, the pain is still there but your head feels less dizzy. the smell of coffee lingers upon your apartment and, as you make your way out of your bedroom, you're greeted by the lovely sight of nancy and robin preparing breakfast. they turn when they hear you lean against the doorframe and beckon you over. you know today is gonna be better when they both wrap their arms around you and pull you in a comforting hug.

Robin goes to Nancy for help trying to date Vickie but she ends up falling for her along the way.
Practise kisses, dances etc and maybe sneak in some Nancy jealousy because that’s always fun!
thank u for the prompt, beautiful anon!! i am terribly sorry for the wait.
eternally complete (2,801 words)
“You didn’t tell me Vickie worked here.”
Nancy was proud she managed to bite down the scalding remark burning at the back of her throat, leveling the side of Robin’s lovesick face with a glare instead. Robin, of course, took no notice. Even blocked by her chunky pink sunglasses Nancy knew her eyes were laser-focused.
“I didn’t know,” Steve retorted absently from Robin’s other side, sprawled out on his stomach for proper tanning. His eyes were screwed shut against a heady Hawkins sun.
“You work here,” Robin said, and there were hints of accusation in her tone.
“I would’ve told you if I knew,” Steve said, placatingly, and he reached out a lackluster hand to bat at her elbow for emphasis. Robin seemed satisfied by this.
The girl in question - Vickie Matthews, Hawkins senior and brass section leader - was meandering her way up the lifeguard ladder on the opposite end of the pool. She swung pale legs over each rung, red hair dripping down the base of her neck. Some part of Nancy’s brain she refused to associate with helpfully remarked that she looked a bit like a wet rat climbing out of the pool like that. Nancy blamed that particular thought on the heat, as well as the one that came after it.
Robin had turned on her side to face her, stricken with a sudden anxiety she never seemed to completely get rid of. The sun caught on the bridge of her freckled nose, in between the lighter strands of light-brownish-red hair, and it made her look halo-esque. Nancy’s mouth, suddenly, went desert dry.
“You have to help me,” Robin said. Nancy blinked.
“With what?”
Robin gestured unhelpfully with her head back towards the general vicinity of Vickie, shaking her hair out like a dog. Nancy pushed her sunglasses up into her hair. Her forehead appreciated the respite from her sweaty bangs, strung out and drying incorrectly from going in the pool earlier that morning. When Robin refused to elaborate further, Nancy gestured with her own hands in a circular motion. She felt a little silly, but then again - it was difficult not to feel silly doing something stupid in front of Robin.
“With Vickie,” Robin said at last, and then furtively glanced around them, as if speaking her name aloud was some crime against nature. In the sticky, sulfuric heat, Nancy’s patience wore thin quickly. She bit back another harsh reply as a whistle sounded out through the pool. Steve jolted awake.
Vickie let the whistle drop back down to the crest of her collarbone, gesturing and shouting something inaudible at two boys who had been running by the side of the pool. When Nancy returned to Robin, she grimaced at the hazy expression on her face. Her mouth was practically hanging open.
Nancy wasn’t sure what to ask first.
“Why?” She decided on. Robin lifted her own sunglasses in a need to be taken seriously, and it made her hair stick up as if electrocuted behind the large shades. Nancy fought the urge to reach over and pat the strands down. Robin seemed on the verge of exploding as she struggled to form proper sentences. She rested a hand against her mouth, but that did nothing to block the blush from quickly spreading across her face. Realization hit Nancy like a freight train. The sick feeling in her stomach, surely, was just a product of rotting out in the sun for too long. “Robin. Do you like Vickie? Like-like her?”
“Shout it, why don’t you,” Robin muttered furiously, her blush quickly approaching firetruck-red territory. “I don’t think the whole pool heard you the first time.”
“And you want my help with, what - asking her out?” Nancy asked. She glanced over Robin’s shoulder, half-hoping Steve would be sitting up and staring back with a similarly incredulous expression. Unfortunately, he’d gone back to sleep.
“Nancy Wheeler, investigative journalist,” Robin said, voice deepening an octave as she took on gruff, Film Noir undertones. “She attacks the case just like she attacks demo dogs - with brute force.”
“Why do you think I’ll be any help?” At this, Robin had the decency to look abashed. She dropped her hand from her mouth and let it fall limply into her lap.
“Out of the three of us, you’re the only one with any real relationship experience,” Robin said. At Steve’s offended snort/snore, she was quick to amend with: “Or - positive relationship experience.” Nancy felt a little sorry Robin was so easy bashing her previous relationship with Steve, but she didn’t feel sorry enough to correct her on it.
“I don’t know how to talk to women,” Nancy said.
“You are one,” Robin pointed out helpfully. Nancy opened her mouth and then closed it. Sometimes, it was just better to go along with it.
“Okay, well. First lesson: don’t curl up into the fetal position when you’re trying to impress her,” Nancy said, pointedly looking down at the way Robin had pulled all her gangly limbs in close. Robin looked as if she had only just realized she had turned her entire body mass toward Nancy. Slowly, she unfurled her legs and stretched them out onto the patio chair. Nancy swallowed and forced herself to look back up at Vickie instead, whose face was shrouded by the umbrella over the lifeguard chair. “See? Now she’s actually got something to look at.”
“You think she’s looking at me?” Robin asked, and Nancy’s stomach performed another impressive somersault at the hope in her voice.
“I can’t see very well,” Nancy said, flopping back onto her own lounge chair and sliding her sunglasses back down. Robin shifted again in her chair, attempting to prop herself up like she was practicing for the centerfold. Nancy squeezed her eyes shut tight - it was too early in the summer to deal with that.
About two weeks of tortuous conversations with Robin about Vickie (because that was all she talked about) later, Nancy had finally found a bit of peace in the midst of a post-party breakfast. She padded around her kitchen in her mother’s slippers, pretending not to watch Robin take tentative sips of her milk-addled coffee as she poured cereal for the both of them. Often, they slept over at Nancy’s house after Steve had them over - if his couch was taken up by the kids. Sleepovers were often, actually, without the excuse of a hangover. Or a nightmare. Sometimes Nancy just liked having Robin over so that, in the middle of a shockingly cold night, she could crack open her eyes and see how Robin’s eyelashes fluttered against her cheekbones as she slept.
“So - what’re we doing today?” Nancy asked as she slid over a bowl for Robin and plopped down beside her at the counter. It took a few seconds for her to notice Robin’s lack of a reply. The other girl was stirring her Lucky Charms absently, though there was a guilty look on her face. “What’s-”
“Vickie and I are hanging out today,” Robin said all in one go, a big rush of words that, had Nancy not been so experienced in the art of Communication With Robin, would’ve been completely unintelligible.
“Oh,” Nancy said, wincing inwardly at how obvious her disappointment was. She felt a little silly about it, anyway. It wasn’t as if they had to spend all their time with each other. Just most of it. All Nancy asked for was for Robin to be at her side every second of the day - not that big of a deal. Especially in the summertime, when there was nothing better to do but lay on the kitchen floor and waste away. “Oh. That’s good.”
“I asked her the last time she came into Family Video,” Robin explained through a mouthful of marshmallow, “and you and Steve were out fixing your car. Remember - last Monday, when it broke down.”
“Right.”
“She just kept talking about how badly she wanted to see Aliens, and you know I loved the first one, so - I asked her if she wanted to go.”
“I’m proud of you,” Nancy said, but the words tasted like ash. At that praise, Robin’s face lit up like a switchboard. It only added to Nancy’s churning stomach. Suddenly, she wasn’t that hungry. Her spoon dropped listlessly into the cereal bowl below her.
“But I have no idea what to do,” Robin said, gripping the counter with a sudden intensity. “I’ve never - I mean, I haven’t - I don’t even know if it’s a date. But if it is - I have no fucking idea how to go on a date. I’ve never been on one. Obviously.”
“Obviously?” Nancy parrotted. Robin snorted self-deprecatingly and took another spoonful of cereal.
“I mean, look at me.” She gestured down her front. Nancy’s eyes traced the glimpse of shoulder bone at the edge of her baggy sleep shirt, her cracking fingers.
“Robin, you-” Nancy stopped herself, shaking her head. It was getting a little difficult to speak. “You’ll be fine.”
“You don’t know that,” Robin groaned dramatically, folding in on the counter and hitting her forehead against the granite top with a soft thwap. “Fuck, ow.”
“What are you worried about?” Nancy asked, shrugging. “You’ll just sit next to each other in the theater. Maybe brush hands with her in the popcorn bowl. Kick her foot with yours. It’s not that hard.”
“Don’t movie dates come with the implication that you’ll be-” Robin cut herself off, glancing over at Nancy with wide eyes. Her next words were whispered. “Like, making out? ‘Cause it’s dark.” Nancy’s face went up in a flush. She pressed her tongue to the roof of her mouth, attempting to forcefully push out all mental images that particular sentence conjured up.
“You’ll be fine,” Nancy repeated in a daze.
“I’ve never kissed anybody before.” If Nancy wasn’t so tuned in to Robin’s every minute move, she would’ve missed that.
“Seriously?” Nancy asked, immediately feeling terrible for the way it made Robin’s face drop exponentially. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I’m just - surprised.” Clearly, Robin didn’t share the sentiment.
“What if I’m a terrible kisser?” Robin asked, all shaking nerves and moving hands. The cereal threatened to escape the bowl and run onto the countertop. “What if my mouth smells like fish? What if I use too much tongue and she thinks I’m trying to eat her? What if I don’t use enough tongue and I’m boring? I don’t want to kiss like a Mormon, Nance, I’m better than that. I’m trying to impress her. Vickie’s had a boyfriend, she’s experienced - I’m going to be terrible and fuck it all up and everything’ll fall apart before it’s even begun.”
Nancy held up a gentle hand to stop her, and the words were coming out of her mouth before she even knew what she was saying.
“I’ll teach you. How to kiss, I mean.” Robin’s mouth promptly snapped shut. She turned back to her cereal and took a fast bite, face a confusing red color.
“You will?” Robin asked after a moment, muffled by marshmallow. “You’d do that for me?” I’d do anything for you. Nancy shocked herself with the intensity of that tidal wave thought, which crashed over her in a devastating mass of Robin, Robin, Robin. If just thinking about kissing her made her feel like this - what would it feel like to actually do it?
Outwardly, Nancy shrugged.
“Sure.” Inwardly, she was screaming. There seemed to be something crackling between them, before Robin looked back up from her cereal through her bangs and smiled hesitantly.
“She’s picking me up at three,” Robin said, the implication clear. Nancy nodded, took a deep breath, and got up.
They didn’t speak as they headed up the stairs back to Nancy’s bedroom, where the messy bed (proof of their co-existence) and clothes strewn across the floor (a mixture of Robin’s and Nancy’s) stood out like blaring, blinking red lights. As Nancy sat down on the end of her bed on autopilot, a worry began to uncover itself. If Robin sensed something - if she could tell Nancy’s feelings - through this kiss - what would happen?
She felt the mattress sink with Robin’s weight. A tentative hand against hers on the comforter, contact that had become second nature suddenly unfamiliar.
“You don’t have to,” Robin said. Nancy looked up, saw her stark blue eyes. God, she was gone.
“It’s fine,” Nancy said, managing a hesitant smile. “Don’t want you to kiss like a fish.” Robin laughed, all high-pitched and nervous.
Nancy glanced down at Robin’s lips. She was biting her bottom one anxiously, a silly expression that, somehow, tightened the iron-fist grip in Nancy’s stomach. She leaned forward. Seconds before impact, she felt rather than heard Robin’s sharp intake of anticipatory breath. Robin smelled like dew and milk and shower and Nancy was tumbling through the Upside-Down.
Her lips were soft, slightly chapped from absent neglect. They pressed, inexperienced, at Nancy’s own, until Nancy reached up with both hands to tilt Robin’s face. Their noses pressed together as suddenly something in Robin’s mind clicked. Her hands came up to rest against Nancy’s, holding them in place. Holding them together. Nancy tugged lightly on Robin’s bottom lip - she’d spent too much time watching Robin bite and wanting, desperately, to do the same. Robin took another sharp breath through her nose, adorably overwhelmed. She was like a furnace underneath Nancy’s fingertips, burning harshly through her skin and melting her to nothingness. If Nancy pulled back and found herself a puddle on the ground, she would’ve been happy it had been Robin. She would happy it was Robin, in any case.
When she pulled back, Robin’s eyes were a little glazed. She kept her hands clasped to Nancy’s as if forgetting they were there in the first place. The air turned tensely awkward.
“That’s why Steve’s such a bitch when he isn’t getting any,” Robin whispered, and it was so stupid and such a Robin thing to say Nancy couldn’t help but laugh. It was, strangely, on the verge of harsh tears.
“I think you’re ready,” Nancy said, clearing her throat. When she wiggled her fingers purposefully, Robin seemed to snap back to focus. She let Nancy drop her hands into her lap, rubbing palms together and trying to prolong the feeling of Robin’s warm cheeks for as long as possible.
“You’re very good,” Robin said, still as glazed over as before. Nancy was thankful she seemed so disoriented - maybe it made her blush less noticeable.
“...thank you?” Robin reached up with two fingers to press on her lips. Those blue eyes swung to meet hers, glaze clearing out and something new, unidentifiable, replacing it.
“Um. She’s picking you up at three, right?” Nancy said, shifting over to glance at her bedside clock. “If you wanna borrow something to wear - I mean. I know you don’t particularly like my closet.”
“You wear it all better than me,” Robin agreed. Nancy cut herself off. She flopped face-first onto her comforter, hoping to fake tiredness so she wouldn’t have to show her smitten face. “You really think I’m ready?”
“Yes.” Nancy’s reply was muffled.
“So - you don’t think we should, um. Do it again?” Robin asked tentatively. “Just to make sure?”
Nancy froze, hands clenching the comforter.
“Am I misreading this?” Robin spoke again, significantly more nervous than before. “Um. If I am, don’t say anything. Or do. Do whatever you want, I don’t want to - I mean. I’m sorry. I’m being stupid.”
“Robin, you’re-” Nancy sprung to life, returning to her place on the side of the bed and at Robin’s side. “You’re never stupid.” Robin let out a little breath.
“Oh.” It sounded revelatory. “I, um. Can I borrow your phone?” Nancy furrowed her eyebrows, confused.
“Um. Sure. Why?” Nancy asked, sickly worried Robin was about to say to ask Steve for a ride or to call Vickie to get her here earlier. Robin smiled a nervous, toothy smile. It was brighter than the sun.
“To cancel,” Robin said. “And, um. Completely unrelated to that, I’ve got two tickets to Aliens this afternoon - if you’ve got nothing to do.” At first, Nancy just blinked. Then, a tentative grin spread across her face. She laughed, surprised.
“I did really like the first one,” Nancy said. “But, uh. You know the implication that comes with a movie date, yeah?”
Robin’s eyes twinkled. Her smile spilt her face in two. Nancy wanted nothing more than to kiss that mouth again. And again, and again…
“Yeah,” Robin said, aiming for casual and landing somewhere in the ‘giddy’ zone. “Yeah, I know.”
“Good,” Nancy said, leaning forward at the same time Robin was. They’d always been on the same wavelength, anyway. “Me too.”

Robin arrived earlier than everyone else, Steve was still hanging up some of the decorations. She crept quietly inside making him jump when he climbed down the ladder.
“Rob! Thanks for not making yourself know” he almost screamed in fright as she stood there grinning at him.
Laughing she threw her arms around him, smelling a strong scent of male aftershave which made her cough violently.
“Jesus Steve, I know all the girls will know you’re arriving” she covered her mouth still laughing at him.
Taking in her surroundings as she looked at the decorations scattered across the room. Impressed with him, she wandered into his kitchen where bowls of punch and snacks were placed perfectly on the counter.
The white marble shone in the glimmer of the lights, she buried her hand into one of the bowls. Steve shouted at her as he caught her eating some of the snacks, giggling as she threw some of them at him.
He rolled his eyes and left the door, she walked the rest of the house. Nosily, she walked upstairs and peered her head around the door of Steve’s room. He had decorated it with more Halloween decorations, chuckling to herself she wondered back downstairs.
She knew that he would do anything to get laid, he had been talking to her about it all week. The touches to his bedroom made her roll her eyes, as she saw him in the living room.
“I saw your cute little decorations in your bedroom” she smirked, he was standing on a ladder hanging decorations between the door frames.
“Oh you saw them?” He blushes slightly at the idea of her seeing the “sex den” as Robin called it all themed.
“Yeah, it looks good,” she smiled, helping him hang the tape.
Once they had finished decorating the entire house, they sat on the couch with a couple of beers in their hands. Staring aimlessly at the television in front of them, the party was due to start in a few hours. Steve had not changed yet, making Robin feel slightly embarrassed that she was fully dressed in her costume.
━━━━━━━☆☆━━━━━━━
Nancy had finished touching up her outfit, staring in the mirror at her appearance. She sighed, feeling nervous as the time got closer and closer to the party. She had fake blood covering her black mini dress, fake blood dripping from her mouth that coated her collarbones and neck. Faint drops glinted against her exposed breasts, her accessories included, a fake blood stained bag and knife.
Her and Steve had been on edge for a few weeks, he had been talking about this girl “Robin” non-stop making her paranoid that he’d leave her.
She knew that Robin would be at this party, as she began eating some cold leftovers out the fridge. Her mind visioned an idea of Robin, someone who constantly flirts with Steve, battering her eyelashes. Laughing overtly at every joke, over touchy with him.
Her jealousy and paranoia were bubbling over as she made her way over to Steve’s. The time was 8 o clock, the party was only just getting started as she opened his front door. Her body shaking with nerves, the music was loud as she walked through the house. Passing a few people from school, raising her eyebrows and awkwardly smiling at them as she searched for Steve.
He was standing next to the fireplace holding a red plastic cup filled with alcohol. A brunette girl was sitting down on the couch, and a few other people were sitting next to her. Nancy couldn’t see who it was from the distance, as she walked closer. Steve’s eyes lit up as he saw her, rushing over to her and throwing his arms around her. Kissing her head as they walked over to the group he was just standing with.
“Robin! I want you to meet Nancy” he said loudly down her ear, Robin’s head turned to face her.
The music stopped as their eyes met. Robin was nothing like Nancy had imagined, she was wearing a comical outfit and not a slutty one. Her words were broken up as they shook hands, a simple touch sent sparks up Nancy’s arm. Unable to think of anything else other than Robin’s eyes staring at her, she blushed and looked at Steve. Hoping he hasn’t seen her react that way.
The party went into full swing at about 10pm, Steve was on his 4th drink. Nancy had made her way into the kitchen, clutching her empty plastic red cup when she felt herself bump into someone. It was Robin.
Stuttering and blushing, her eyes met hers.
“Uh- sorry. I hope that I didn’t spill anything down you”
“Oh you’re fine doll” Robin smiled at her, her head tilting towards the drinks table.
Nancy followed her, they stood side by side. Their shoulders touching as Robin poured the same amount of alcohol into Nancy’s cup, raising it up to hers.
“Cheers” she winked and down her drink before pouring another one for herself.
Nancy looked in shock as she watched her, nervous as she copied her. Winching as the alcohol touched the back of her throat, Robin had not included mixers. Laughing at her, she raised her eyebrows as she began pouring more alcohol into  her cup. Grimacing Nancy nodded and hit her glass together with Robin’s, they made eye contact as they downed their drinks together.
After Robin refilled her cup, she left Nancy in the kitchen. Winking at her before she left, smirking as she saw her cheeks flush red.
Nancy re-entered the living, to see Steve talking to a group of boys. Her eyes found their way to Robin who was hiding in the corner with a blonde haired girl, she stood watching as they kissed. Robin turned around, meeting her eyes and winked at her. Nancy froze as Robin made her way towards her.
“See something you liked?” Robin was smirking at her, whispering as she hovered over her in the doorway.
When in fact, Nancy had never seen two girls interact so intimately in a public place before. It was intriguing. Wondering what it felt like to kiss a girl.
Enjoying as Nancy squirmed in front of her, looking down at her feet trying to avoid her gaze. Robin placed her fingers on her chin and lifted her head up to meet her gaze, Nancy felt herself melt right there.
She moved past Nancy, their bodies touching for a few moments before she disappeared into the kitchen. Nancy relaxed and looked around for Steve who was hanging off Tommy Hagan. Rolling her eyes, she wandered over to the group. They cheered at the sight of her, Steve drunkenly cheered as she took him off Tommy.
''You're so pretty'' he drooled over himself as his weight dropped completely onto Nancy's right shoulder.
Struggling as she dragged him into the room, Robin rushed over and took the extra weight on her own shoulder. Their eyes met, Robin softly smiled at her making Nancy blush.
They let him fall onto the chair, he laughed at the movement. Robin was standing behind the chair, watching Nancy peered down with a glass of water forcing him to drink. Her eyes caught Robin's, they gazed into each other's eyes until Steve grunted and thrusted the glass into her hand.
''I think I should take him to bed'' she sighed, staring down at the drunk Steve.
''Well, you can't carry him all by yourself, doll, I'll help you'' Robin looked at Steve before resting her eyes on Nancy.
''Thank you'' Nancy grunted as she lifted Steve off the chair, his weight once again felt heavy on her shoulder. It faded lightly when Robin shifted his weight onto her shoulder.
They walked up to him upstairs together, their arms touching with every movement. Nancy's breath was hitched at the touch, worry was filling up her body as they reached the top of the stairs.
Pushing his door open, they both grunted as they staggered across to his bed. Taking off his shoes before propping his head up against the pillow, Nancy unbuttoned his trousers and kissed the top of his head.
''Night Steve'' she whispered into his ear, Robin was hanging by the door as she made her way towards her.
Their bodies close as her attention moved off Steve, Nancy could feel Robin's breath against hers as she stood over her, gazing at her.
''Shall we get another drink dollface?'' Robin suggestively spoke, Nancy looked up at her and nodded.
━━━━━━━☆☆━━━━━━━
Leading the way, they left Steve to sleep before heading back downstairs.
After answering everyone's questions about Steve, they made it into the kitchen. Most of the people had gone to sit outside, in the living room or gone home. Leaving them alone in the room, Robin poured a couple of shots for them before and bought them both over. Smirking as Nancy's face looked shocked at the sight of them, raising her glass in time with Robin. Their eye contact only breaking as Nancy closed her eyes to take the shot, exclaiming loudly at the taste. She laughed, her eyes tightly shut and her tongue extended out before taking her second shot and repeating the process.
Robin was mesmerized by her. Fondly watching her as she poured drinks for them both, staggering towards her extending the cup out with a tipsy smile.
They continued to drink for a while, in the dark kitchen. Before Robin dragged her away from the noisy music, pulling her by her arm into the bathroom. Sitting on the floor with their feet touching, they began to ramble.
Between sips Nancy felt herself relax in Robin’s presence, the music changed many times as they chatted. Subtly flirting with her, Robin crawled across the floor towards her.
‘’You know what would be fun?’’ her voice was filled with excitement and thrill as their eyes met. She continued to crawl towards Nancy, resting her back against the wall, their shoulders touching.
‘’ I have no idea’’ Nancy giggled as she looked at her, her eyes were half open as the alcohol hit her.
‘’We have a bath, imagine how relaxing it would be’’ Robin closed her eyes, picturing a hot warm bubbly bath. Humming softly as she did.
‘’Ooo a bath’’ Nancy joined in, imagining a bath.
Both girls instantly jumped up, giggling drunkenly together. Robin bent over the tub and began running the water. Captivated by the water, they watched as it filled up the tub as it reached half way full Robin turned to Nancy.
''You watch the bath, make it all bubbly and shit and I'll grab a bottle from downstairs'' she questioned to Nancy, whose head was staring at her reflection in the water.
Robin didn’t wait for her answer, fueled by excitement and drunkenness. She rushed downstairs, the crowds of people had died down from earlier with people were sprawled across the furniture, small groups were leaving and a couple of people were sat outside in the dark.
Ignoring them, she strode into the kitchen. Eyeing up the last of the alcohol on the table, picking up a bottle of tequila and the remainder of the vodka. The bowls of snacks had been demolished, Robin shook her head in amusement. Knowing that she lost another bet against Steve.
Clutching the bottles tightly she made her way upstairs, music played quietly over the speakers as she entered the bathroom. The bottles almost fell as her attention turned to Nancy, who was running her hand through the bubbly water. She had changed out of her costume and into her underwear, causing Robin to gasp.
Giggling Nancy looked at her, blowing bubbles in her direction. Robin gulped as she opened the bottle of tequila, taking a swig as she stared at Nancy. The sight of her made her weak.
Sliding the bottles on the floor as her back hit the side of the tub next to her. Nancy was still giggling and playing with the bubbles as she took the bottle of tequila off the floor. Taking a big swig, letting out a exasperated sigh as she passed the bottle back to Robin.
They continued to drink both of the bottles, giggling and spraying water over each other playfully. Nancy decided to get into the water, Robin respectfully looked away as she stripped and her body was hidden amongst the bubbles. Nancy focused on the warm water surrounding as Robin joined her, letting the bottles sit either side of them.
Their eyes met, Robin giggled nervously as their bodies touched. Nancy was no longer feeling nervous, she was ignoring her mind as she leant closer to Robin reaching down out of the tub. Bringing the leftover vodka bottle into the water with them, her eyes not leaving Robin as she lifted the bottle to her mouth.
Robin’s eyes widened as Nancy’s boob was exposed, instantly hardened as it reacted with the air. A soft gasp escaped her mouth as Nancy leaned forward shoving the bottle into her hands, the ends of her hair was damp from the water.
She gulped down a big portion of the vodka before smiling drunkenly at Nancy. Passing the bottle between them both until the contents of it was gone. Giggling an shrugging together, Nancy dropped the bottle loudly onto the floor and reached over to pick up the tequila.
Nancy moved uncomfortably in the tub, Robin stared at her as she took a swig of the tequila. Laughing at her reaction to the taste, Nancy stuck her tongue out playfully before passing the bottle to Robin who drank a similar amount.
“You comfortable there?” Robin suggestively asked, her eyes were filled with lust as she placed the bottle down.
Nancy shook her head, her bottom lip stuck out as her arms tightened around her chest. Robin thought she looked cute as she pouted and bit her lip.
“Come here” she whispered, her eyes focusing on Nancy’s body which glimmered between the bubbles.
Watching as her eyes widened before softening, listening to Robin’s words. The alcohol was clearly affecting them both as she felt herself moving closer and closer to Robin. Hesitating to move any closer, Robin’s arms were submerged underneath the warm water and pulled Nancy onto her lap.
Looking intently at each other as their lips grazed together, Robin gasped again at the soft touch of Nancy. Her skin was velvety between her fingers, holding her tighter to her chest. Their eyes were close as their lips pressed together, groaning as Nancy’s hands felt her cheeks until they stayed tangled in Robin’s hair. Tugging lightly as Robin moved Nancy’s hips against her wet pussy, the water sloshing with their movements.
Nancy’s eyes rolled back as their clits bumped together, she had not felt anything like this before. She didn’t want Robin to stop as her lips licked her nipples causing her to moan, biting her lips in shock as the lower part of her body moved in the water.
“Oh fuck, don’t stop” Nancy moaned as Robin’s fingernails dug into her hips moving her faster and faster against her clit.
Moaning onto her nipples as her head moved from each boob, her eyes looking up Nancy as she felt her clit swell up. Her eyes widened at Nancy’s pants , her angelic voice rang in her ears as another “oh fuck” slipped through her soft wet lips.
Robin moved her hips faster and faster, the water splashed out of the tub and onto the bath rug. Coating the floor as they got closer and closer to heaven, Nancy’s pants had become louder and more frequent. Her body tilted back towards the opposite wall, her hips were marked red from Robin’s fingernails. Her boobs were red and sore from her lips, light red marks appeared across the skin.
An accidental trail of hickies scattered her left boob, Nancy’s body jolted forward as she gasped loudly. Robin felt her clit swell up as she felt Nancy cum hard, her body continuing to jolt as she rode Robin through to her orgasm.
“Holy fuck” Robin whined loudly at the touch of Nancy, her clit throbbing as she came. Whining through her orgasm, Nancy’s dry lips slammed into hers muffling her moans deeper into her mouth.
Their bodies stayed together, their lips moving together passionately even after they had reached their climaxes. Reaching for the tequila bottle, Nancy took a big swig before passing it to Robin. Who after drinking, nibbled down onto Nancy’s neck making her gasp and squeal at the sensation.

So Pretty, It Hurts (Nancy/Robin)
Summary: While messing around, Nancy discovers an adorable fact about Robin and decides to exploit it. (Prompt from @chailattef. Thanks for the cute idea! Fic is slightly suggestive but the mood is quickly killed by tickles instead, so overall I’d rate this fic SFW. Hope you enjoy.)
If you had asked Robin Buckley a few years back if she liked Nancy Wheeler, the answer would have been a pretty quick and solid no. It wasn’t like she had a specific issue with Nancy, but they had never really given one another the time of day. Based on vibe alone, she assumed that Nancy was a stuck-up, prissy rich girl who would never stoop to talk to someone like Robin.
She also never thought that Nancy Wheeler liked girls.
Well, Nancy clearly hadn’t thought that either until very recently.
Robin always thought that Nancy was pretty, but in a stuck-up, prissy sort of way. Like she couldn’t leave the house without lip gloss and each curl set perfectly. Lately, she began to see the true, natural beauty that Nancy had.
Yes, she wore lip gloss and fixed her hair, but she was more than that. The way her eyes lit up at exciting news, gold flecks sparkling in brown irises. The uncontrollable curl of her lips when she refused to laugh at a stupid joke, but couldn’t quite hold back the amusement.
She was so fucking pretty, it made Robin’s chest hurt.
Sure, it took the world nearly ending for the two of them to become friends, and then more than friends, but Robin wasn’t so concerned with the ‘how?’ as she was the ‘what the fuck?’ of the whole situation. In a good way, though. A really good way.
They were in Nancy’s bedroom after a night of hanging out with Steve and Eddie. Robin’s parents wouldn’t be too happy if she stumbled in at midnight, her eyes still red-rimmed from sampling some of Eddie’s new shit. The high had mostly worn off, but there was still a lingering cloud of fog in her mind. She and Nancy had already discovered that there was something between them, but their actions hadn’t gone past a few kisses and a bit of cuddling.
Nancy had no experience with other girls, and Robin had no experience at all, so it was a pretty even playing field.
That evening, however, things were picking up speed. Hands wandered, and Robin hummed happily into the kiss, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
Nancy pulled back with a smile, something like mischief or lust in her eyes, before she leaned in to press a kiss to the junction of Robin’s jaw and neck, her lips slotting perfectly into that little crevice, and making Robin’s breath hitch.
Nancy was clearly egged on by the sound, probably assuming it was a sound of pleasure, but Robin felt a giggle bubbling up inside her chest. Not from nerves, but from the ticklish sensation that Nancy’s lips were causing.
As the kisses trailed lower, Robin couldn’t hold back, bursting into giggles and scrunching up her shoulders, her sensitivity dialed up to one hundred with the weed still lingering in her system.
Nancy’s brow furrowed, something between concern, confusion, and a hint of insecurity, like she thought Robin was laughing at her. “What’s so funny?”
All flushed cheeks and stuttering over her words, Robin manages to ramble out a response. “I’m so sorry! It’s just, like, it really tickled but it also kind of felt nice so I didn’t wanna tell you to stop. I didn’t mean to laugh, you didn’t do anything wrong!”
The expression on Nancy’s face melted into a smile. “You’re adorable,” she said, scooting closer on the bed, practically cornering Robin against the pillows. “I didn’t know you were ticklish.”
Robin gave a nervous chuckle. “Yeah, I mean, isn’t everyone? I mean, I might be a little above average compared to most people, but it’s not anything special—Ah!”
Her rambling was cut off as Nancy pounced forward, arms wrapping around Robin’s middle, fingers scribbling over her lower back, while her face returned to the crook of her neck to nuzzle.
Squealing, Robin kicked her feet out but couldn’t move much otherwise, engulfed in Nancy’s hug. “Nance!”
“Yes?” Nancy asked, grinning.
“It tickles!
“That’s sort of the point,” Nancy replied, before returning her lips to the skin of Robin’s neck, peppering it in kisses.
Robin tried to scrunch up her shoulders, but whenever she did so, Nancy would use her fingers to tickle the other side, leaving her stuck in an endless loop of shrugging one shoulder at a time, laughing the whole time.
Switching tactics, Nancy stopped pressing quick kisses to her neck and instead blew a big raspberry against Robin’s skin, just below her ear, making the younger girl shriek with surprised laughter.
“Please,” Robin whined. “You’re gonna kill me.”
Nancy paused, as if she were considering the odds of Robin actually dying, and if those odds were worth the risk. “Okay, fine, but only because I’m tired. I am not forgetting about this, though.”
Robin gave a sigh of relief, slumping back against the pillows, still giggling softly. “Thank you. But I’m definitely gonna get you back at some point. Not now, though. It’s sleep time.”
Nancy laughed, a bright and beautiful sound that made Robin’s heart skip a beat. “Sure you will.”
The two of them crawled beneath the blankets and curled up, Nancy’s chest pressed against Robin’s back as they cuddled close, a preemptive measure against nightmares. Well, it was definitely more than that, but the thought of being more than friends who kissed sometimes was scary for them both. Before she fell asleep, Robin made the mental note to ask Steve for Nancy’s ticklish spots the next time she saw him, and then drifted off.
If you had asked Robin Buckley a few years ago if she liked Nancy Wheeler, she would have told you no. It was funny, how time (and a few shared traumatic experiences) could change so much. It was a good thing, though. A really good thing.

steddie headcanons because i need them <3
- After weeks of Eddie trying to get Steve to play D&D, Steve finally gives in and joins a Hellfire Club campaign - he dies almost immediately and almost gets everyone else killed by accident
- Eddie has the remarkable ability to make anything and everything Steve says into a sexual joke, and every single time he does, without fail, Steve hits him and tries to surpress his blushing
- The first time Eddie went to Steve’s house, he almost passed out but as soon as he got over that, he picked Steve up and ran into the pool, and the two of them swum around fully clothed and laughing
- Eddie loves the fact that Prom King Jock Steve Harrington is his, and will tell literally anyone who brings him up that he’s his boyfriend
- When Steve goes to Eddie’s trailer, Eddie will sometimes serenade him with his guitar, which Steve finds unbearably attractive, and often results in Steve ripping the guitar out of Eddie’s hands and pushing him on the bed and Eddie yelling at him to be careful but in truth, he loves it
- Steve steals Eddie’s clothes all the time, because he just loves that he can
- The amount of times the two of them have been walked in on while making out by one of their many kids is excruciating, and yet they never learn that a corridor is not the safest place to be doing that
- Both are big fans of PDA, and Steve will often kiss Eddie in public and look around, waiting for someone to challenge them
- Steve’s favourite things about Eddie are his rings and his hair, and during their nightly deep conversations, he often plays with one of the two things
- Eddie loves watching Steve interact with the kids, and his heart simply melts every time he sees it because he can see how much his boyfriend loves them
- Steve prefers Eddie’s trailer to his house, and the pair will often stargaze while lying on the roof before falling asleep on the sofa or in Eddie’s room
- Steve drives Eddie and Max to school, and the two boys always let Max play Kate Bush, and, although they would never admit it, they kind of love Kate Bush too
- Eddie is 100% the freak in the sheets and that’s all I’m gonna say about that
