NINE BLOOD DANCES

Nine Moons for the Nine Circles of Hell

Ruled by Nine Siblings. Or better known as the Commanders of Hell. Each believed to carry a role in the natural world and each a leader of the Devil’s Army. Each Commander is the personification of their circle and is made with a part of The Devil’s Body.

His Brain. His Genitals. His Stomachs. His Lungs. His Eyes. His Tongues. His Flesh. His Ears. And lastly his heart.

With each part, combined with that of a woman of a different species, flourished the consciousness of the circle, and then from a piece of the circle, a body was molded, creating each commander.

Yet with no one to rule over them.

For the Devil has many things to do and does not have the time to watch over the things he created. So, he gets an idea. A funny idea.

For he wishes not to strip himself of more. So, he goes to a mortal man. One who knew all that of the world, a man who had everything that the mortal heart could desire. Expect love–Yes love. For there is a difference between idolization and obsession and honest love. The mortal man had not that, and so the Devil laughed and lured this man to his death. And when no one showed genuine care for the man at his funeral, he fell into despair.

And the Gods who refused to hear his prayers before now stared upon him and pitied him. And sent the mortal man a gift in order to ease the loneliness.

A gift the Devil needs.

Aapo walks and talks with a smile on his face and radiates this atmosphere of freedom, which is quickly erased by this underlying need for control, and he demands it. He has no reservations to confirm that. Many fear him despite his faux cheery attitude and overly relaxed posture.

He had deep-set shaped eyes while his eyes were the darker color shades of the rainbow, that fluctuated depending upon mood but remained a deep emerald green. He has short mahogany brown hair with a short fringe that seems messy. He’s lean and long, with long legs and arms. Always wearing overly vibrant and eccentric suits of greens and browns, decorated with bronze and gold.

She demands respect and will expect it. Many of the others stay out of her way and allow her to do as she pleases, since she has no desire to disrupt anything and follow the rules in place. Unless they get in the way of her desires.

✶ Appearance: She stands at [6’2FT ~ 192CM] with deep chocolate brown skin with no blemishes or scars. She has bedroom eyes that are a deep navy blue but appear black until in candlelight. Anil’s hair is jet black hair reaches her waist and is curly, while wet it reverts into a more coily texture. She has long legs and a waist and adds to her height by wearing dark blacks and blues, wearing heels, with a subtle male pirate aesthetic, wearing silver with everything. With the remains of two torn leather wings upon her back, with a long and heavy black scaled tail of a crocodile.

She, just like her Aapo and Anil, expects respect due to her rank, though she cares little about enforcing it, especially with her "siblings". However, she has a mean streak when hungry and can become aggressive toward those who are men or those masculine in nature.

✶ Appearance: She stands at [5’7FT ~ 175CM] with warm ivory-colored skin, that’s covered in what looks to be scars, that are prominent on her throat, the back of her hands, her palms, and her knees which are small scars, while the entire along her collarbone, slanting cut across her entire stomach, and along the outside of both thighs seem like bigger scars, but they’re not. They are instead different mouths with sharklike teeth and crimson red tongues. That she keeps closed unless extremely hungry. Alice also has yellowish blonde hair that is a messy pixie cut, with an eye patch covering her right eye. She always has deep monolid-shaped eyes that are a vivid orange color. She has a sheer clothing aesthetic as while as a leather aesthetic, wearing many shades of orange, black, and white with gold. Accompanied by the small horns of a deer, a shade of white, and the tail of a deer.

His black cloth also replicates bandages that covered various parts of his arms and legs. He has shoulder-length curly black hair that he keeps in a ponytail. He dresses like that of kings and queens, with a 16th-century royalty aesthetic, wearing that of gold and red. He also has the horns of a ram that are a beautiful gold.

They also spend a lot of time within the different underworlds and heavens, trying to gain something from the divine. Only to be sent back to Hell without punishment. They are tricksters and unreliable, with no real redeeming qualities.

✶ Appearance: They stand at [5’8FT ~ 178CM] with thick curly gray hair with white faded ends. Their hair is short to their chin and left alone. They have hooded gray eyes and short-bison-like horns with gray bat wings that fade into black with a long rat-like tail. They have varying styles but settle on clothing far more revealing. Ben: He is chronically online, but I can see him being into goths. A big titty goth mommy is his fucking wet dream. Maybe someone taller than him, but, he is a sucker for someone shorter than him. Liu: Another sweetheart lover. He already has to deal with his brothers bullshit, and tbh, he fucking hates assholes, or people who give him a hard time. Sully loved feisty ones, so Liu doesn't go after them often, due to him not wanting to activate Sully. Liu is a tits and thigh guy, but he doesn't see it in a sexual way. He loves resting his head on your thighs, or just hiding in your tits. There's no underlying perversion, Liu's sex drive is pretty much nonexistent.

OK SURE! *glass shattering sound* (Some of these are not "headcanons" or are technically implied to be canon but im just going to list all of my specific perceptions regarding the character)

-Dave and Jack both have adhdtism and borderline personality disorder. (((I also want to use this opportunity to apologize for any previous ignorance/rudeness i may have responded with before I'm a bitch but erm I am improving. so yeh also yeah i can definitely see Jack being autistic now too which i know i said i dont really see. it turns out my symptoms i projected onto him were also autistic symptoms so um...))) -Jack is a dog person, Dave doesnt have an animal prefrence but dogs suit him the best because he's dependent and sensitive and dogs love unconditionally, Henry has no feelings about animals however he dislikes dogs in particular. -Henry likes cartoon bears the best though. only cartoon versions.

-I imagine Dave as a child wasn't necessarily BULLIED by other orphans but he was treated poorly and excluded. Adult carers would try to befriend him but he was a "problem child" as a kid and didn't comprehend human boundaries (he never learned) so he made adults uncomfortable too. -I stole this one but if Dave was a cat he'd be a lykoi. henry would be a maine coon (jack is a default shorthair but i give him folded ears sometimes for fun) -My Dave was born purple (and also Henry is born pink) for reasons similar to Doggo's "why is henry's eyes evil" explanation. It's just different ways of their "evil" manifesting -- Dave's eyes are normal as a child however because obviously he isnt "evil" as a child, I imagine his soul is just weird and that he's never been fully normal. (because I'm not a fan of "x character if bad thing never happened" worlds where the character is basically just a normal person. Like its just more interesting if they were always an outcast/unusual from birth. Also it just makes more sense for Dave's character since he is never shown to be normal in any way even in the flipside LOL....also because Dave is often described as "not exactly human")

-Henry however just quickly grew to be jaded and resentful of anyone and anything living. Either from his dad or just that being his personality (but I prefer both). He wasn't outcast and he got along with people when he felt like it but he just hated everyone. -However I imagine Henry always had a childish side to him that enjoys more cartoon artistry and performance. -Henry and Dave gesture similarly when expressing excitement/enthusiasm, though Henry gestures very little most of the time. Henry either expresses exaggeratedly and cartoonishly (but comes across condescending) or not at all.

-Jack likes to watch TV but Dave does not and finds sitting still and watching pictures on a screen boring. (Though certain movies/shows are an exception) -Back when Dave still had simple desires/pleasures (before the lobotomy) he always wanted to have a pet but animals always hated him (because he didn't know how to handle them gently).

-Henry has no romantic or sexual desires whatsoever. He had a wife and child simply because Martha confidently expressed interest on him and he decided to lie to her. The only motive really involved was the societal standard of having a family/having a kid to continue his legacy (but henry didn't really need that to spread his didnt he lol..)

-Alongside that Dave is pansexual and Jack is bisexual (with a prefrence to men) but those are obvious -Dave appears stiff however can contort his body disturbingly (flexible), Jack is normal and appears in great condition for a corpse... (mostly due to makeup (nail polish emoji))

Man, it has been a while since I wrote for Rygel, even longer for an alphabet!

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Rygel doesn't really have touch as one of his love languages. His species is somewhat similar to Vulcans, as they don't really don't emotions as much as humans. For those unaware Rygel's species have soulmates of sorts, that depends on each other's minds. Pretty much this means his species only really feel anything towards their mates, parents, and childrens.

His affection isn't really visible. Rygel has extreme psychokinetic powers, and uses these to show affection. Expect to constanly feel his psychic powers caressing you, placing kisses along your body, playing with your hair, etc.

He also just likes spending time with you and doing acts of love. He helps you reach books, things like that. Which is saying a lot because of his sheer hatred for pretty much anyone that isn't you.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Rygel doesn't do messy. But that doesn't mean he won't kill for you. The opposite, actually.

Rygel's people are conquerors of the universe, and he is their emperor. He sees the human species as a lacking species (except you, darling~ ♡)

He essentially has an entire army and death rays at his command, he will not hesitate to use them.

But he will not get bloody. He is a very neat and tidy person. He will just use his mind powers, or have someone else do it. You should be honored that he even considered personally taking care of a human being for you.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

Rygel isn't the nicest, but not necessarily cruel. You would probably just be limited to his chambers on his ship, with a few rooms you can access outside it. He has endless entertainment for you, and treats you to many vacations across the galaxy. He would never hurt you or say hurtful words, he's just somewhat monotone with his words. This can cause you to even question if he has a prefrence to you at all. But I assure you, he can be very poetic and romantic with his words when he wishes. It just doesn't quite come naturally.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

They will do hugs and kisses. That's it, really. He'll maybe move you around or hold you in place with his mind powers, but that's about it. Doesn't really kiss on the lips much either. Sometimes he can read your thoughts and invade your dreams.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

Rygel has nothing to be vulnerable about. He will talk out his plans with you, as he sees no need to keep you in the dark once abducted. You are to be empress, and you are powerless to stop him in whatever plans he has.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Humorous. It may get a bit of a chuckle out of him. What a feat. You will give in eventually, he is not worried about your lashing out.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

Sometimes it's a bit of a game, if he's bored. But for the most part any escape attempt is swiftly cut short.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Isolation. He can easily just leave you in his chambers for days. Or he'll just make you watch as he destroys entire planets.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

Rygel's people do not do marriage. Once you feel the mating connection and find them, you are forever connected. You will be his empress and you will rear some children. He will conquer the universe, with you by his side.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Rygel does not like any male really touching or talking to you. This is even worse when he sees humans talking to you. He knows you are the same species, but he doesn't need such scum trying to ruin you. His psychokinesis will swiftly pulling you into him, and you shall walk away with him. If they are insistent he will deal with him in the torture chambers and break their minds until they become a shell of their former selves, maybe he'll turn them into slaves for you.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

He is much nicer around you. You're like the one person he doesn't actively dislike. He never says anything downgrading to you, and is actually nice. If you are around he'll probably lean into you, and complain about whoever he's had to deal with. You're pretty much the one person who can tell him to do something, and he will do it.

You can prattle on, and he will actually listen.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

So this may be touched on in a later story (wishful thinking probs tho) Rygel may start to reach out with dreams, then somewhat reaches out in the real world. You may receive love letters, and flowers from his alien planet. Until one day he just kinda tells you that you are now mates.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

To be honest, he's fairly blunt with everyone. Mind you he obviously doesn't inform anyone on else about him being an alien, but he doesn't really act nice to anyone.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

His psychokinesis has it's ways to deal with you. Isolation, messing with your mind, your body, if it's really bad he can give you nightmares.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

Mostly independence. Most of the time you will be limited to his ship or one of his palaces. But, will take you anywhere you wish to see in the galaxy. The stars and universe are your playground. But, it's only your playground because he allows it. You'll have to enjoy it with him. You are either with him, or his chambers. No outside ventures with just guard escorts.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

He's pretty patient. He has an eternity to get you to love him back. His species is not prone to something as simple as impatience. Besides, the mating bond definitely effects you as well. Eventually you'll grow more fond of him.

If worse comes to worse he'll just break your mind into itty-bitty pieces and rebuild you as he likes.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

Rygel's people tend to die when their mate dies.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

No. Rygel's species does not suffer from guilt.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

It is merely his biology, and who he is. He is an all powerful conquering emperor. Simply as that.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

He can't stand seeing you cry. It's- annoying for one and his mind can sense when yours's is in such distress. Isolating is more so seen as annoying, but if he wishes he could rather easily pluck you from your hiding spot.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

No. None of my yanderes ever would as that is by far my biggest ick.

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

He would go rather far to do what needs to fully win you over. Or at least, what he thinks will win you over. He isn't desperate, though.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

However long he deems is suitable for you to figure out he is an alien. If you figure it out by then, great and approach him about, that's probably when he'll go for it.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

Rygel has extenstive psychic powers. This includes invading your mind. It makes it rather easy for him to essentially brainwash you into whatever he wants. But this is something he really doesn't deem necessary, as the mating bond will work eventually.

Did you seem to have a preference for any particular member/ship/pov? Why?

Namjoon in ships is a fairly common one! I think that next year, I want to mindfully explore other ships!

Love me a Namjoon ship! Also it was very much part of the projects I was working on.

Less of a prefrence, I noticed (while counting all the fic pairings) that I didn’t have a Seokjin fic. In 2023, I really want to be more conscious of the members I am writing for.

I was mostly focusing on AFBTTYA and other fics/stories were less mindfully focused on. It happens.

Though mentally, I think that I often lean more towards writing POVs from specific members, I do see more of a lean towards the reader! Quite interesting!

Reader POVs are still my default so I think I notice when I do other POVs (with reader inserts).

This was actually a modified prompt from a prompt generatior that told me to end with something along the lines of “As the run rose, he understood the truth.”

~GENERAL QUESTIONS~

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than, or about what was expected?

Oh my I wrote so much! So much! I am in awe!

Any reasons why?

I had anticipated and planned to only write a little. All I really kept focus on was finishing AFBTTYA and anything else was a happy biproduct.

What pairing/genre/fandom/trope did you write that you would never have predicted last year?

OpEds!

How was it?

I enjoyed it a lot! One was a hit and the other wasn’t but I intend to keep writing them! They are going to be something I do every once in a while and I am excited to have these convos!

What’s your favorite story this year?

Let You Fly! I enjoyed it soooooooooooo much!

Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest. Why?

Buried Truths! With an ace reader, a supernatural plot, some side plots, and a fun mxm pairing! It was so fun!

Highkey, that dynamic started as a critique of people who don’t like MxM. Common critiques I see for MxM are that it is forcing sexuality or a ship on the members... that it is disrespectful to imagine two members together. So in this story, having the reader be a wing person with no romantic pairing was a sort of to show how MxM, like MxR, is set in a world of disbelief. MxM isn’t saying that this pairing is real or that we want it to happen, it is simply a story. Also I really wanted to have more ace representation in fics so it was fun to make the reader ace and have a plot around that.

Story most underappreciated by the universe?

Buried Truths. Hands down.

Why?

It’s MxM, there is a reader but no pairing, it’s a supernatural au, it’s Got7. There are many reasons I think it didn’t get a lot of notes.

Story that could have been better?

Listen and Learn

Why?

I wrote it sort of last minute. I realized I hadn’t done something for Seokjin and wanted to. So it kinda just... was quickly put together! I think it could’ve been fun to expand on more.

Sexiest story?

Stares in ace.

My most acesexy story is Defrosting Ivy. Through out the past two years, I’ve been collecting quotes and ideas from different shows, books, podcasts, and conversations and pulling them together to try to come up with a story. I have so many fun, exciting, and tourturesome ideas at hand for that story. I can’t wait.

A Story From a Different Time!

This story actually was intended to come out last year but due to my health issues and low inspiration, I put it on the backburner.

That being said, it was inspired by an inside joke with @taegularities, @voiceswithoutlips, @heejinnien, and @biaswreckme. Rid is a grandma. We’d call her that all the time! So the fic was really quite a play off of that! And as I kept writing and expanding on it, I was able to put a lot more little inside comments and moments that I enjoyed adding!

Hardest story to write?

A Fae’s Brew to Take You Away.

Not to get sentimental, but I started this story my freshman year of college. I am now a senior. It’s been with me through countless struggles and been waiting patiently while I did other stuff. I let it collect dust and when I got back to it, while I did finish writing it (and now need to edit it), it was a STRUGGLE. I lacked inspiration half the time.

What did you learn from them?

What was your most productive days/day of the week/month, etc in terms of writing?

November and December! I went from writing 1-3k at the beginning of this year to writing 16-20k in November and December! It’s been a slow workup but I am so happy with all I’ve managed!

Name one thing you improved on this year in relation to writing. Either an actual technical writing thing, or even a mental approach to writing change.

My relationship with writing. In addition to my physical inability to write as much at the beginning of the year, I had a mental block. I wouldn’t say burn out but I was darn close. I entered this year so unhappy with my writing and with work and time, I’ve really worked on healing that relationship!

Name one thing you'd like to improve on in the future?

Writing consistently while maintaining my healthy relationship. I want to make a habit of having a consistent writing pattern without feeling like I am losing control of all that I’ve done to help my mental health with writing. While this month and last I wrote so much, I struggled with it as well. I felt like I was losing control almost and had days where I had to not write because I was starting to have toxic thoughts around my writing again. I want to keep a positive relationship with my writing.

Why, and how do you think you could do it?

I will try to carve out time each day to write. It will vary depending on my schedule which fluxuates with school and work but I will plan and give myself space to write.

I want to try to do weekly check-ins with my writing to see how I am feeling and what my goals are.

What are your fic writing goals for next year?

Continuing my goals from this year, I want to finish more of my WIPs. The one’s I am thinking of working on (in no particular order) are:
