Y’all love how I write for Luffy and I do too. I’ll let y’all in on a little secret…since I love you all so much.
⬇️My little secret under the cut!⬇️
The reason why I write for Luffy the way I do is because of my headcanon that I’ve made for my personal use and thought.
I’ve crafted this headcanon way before I even started writing for Luffy, when I was reading other writers depictions and detail of him.
When I started watching op and continued reading fics about him, I felt that writers weren’t catching his speech in a way that I caught it. (Not saying that’s a bad thing at all, I enjoy every single Luffy fic I read regardless of who wrote it!)
Over the course of reading subtitles and sorta listening to his english dub, I conclude that Luffy has a somewhat thick southern or country accent.
(This also applies for Sanji but instead of a southern accent, he had a honey-coated french accent!)
Luffy’s english is more different than everyone else’s.
What I mean is that he speaks in a way that cuts off words or abbreviates them so he can either pronounce them easier or just to get his point across quickly. He just can’t help it❤️
Examples of Luffy’s abbreviated speech!
Ya (instead of you)
Wan’ (instead of want)
Ion or don’ (instead of I don’t or don’t)
M’gonna (M’ instead of I’m)
Y’gonna (Y’ instead of ya)
Wanna (instead of I wanna)
S’good! (S’ instead of so)
And many more!
I adore how Luffy’s Brazilian too and that’s what makes this entire headcanon even cuter yet funnier for me. I understand I’m a bit weird but I can’t help but to think that for my baby Lu!
In conclusion,
I LOVE MY SOUTHERN/COUNTRY BRAZILIAN RUBBER MAN!

I feel like Spencer would be big on praise, specially from reader- being the one to give it to him the most.

Pure Vanilla:
He has done dozens of wedding ceremonies and never gets tired of them.
Everyone in the kingdom calls him “Dad”.
He always encourages others to do their best.
Black Raisin:
She lost her arm to a Wafflebot attack when defending her villagers.
She knows how to speak frequent bird.
Golden Cheese offered to give her all the riches she wanted, but she declined.
Strawberry Crepe:
They’re a big fan of baking and love assisting others.
One of their friends is Lilybell Cookie, and they like to plant flowers with her.
They’re really good at video games, but they’re a sore loser.
Raisin Villager 1/Oatmeal Raisin:
They’re in charge of the kingdom’s crops and love growing vanilla beans.
They also run a miniature brewery at The Crow’s Nest Inn.
And they employ Raisin Crows to send messages to other kingdoms.
Raisin Villager 2/Choco Raisin:
They actually run the local academy in the kingdom.
They’re stocked up on various items so people can feel at home.
They’re also quite the cook- they’ve helped out Black Raisin with cooking!
Raisin Villager 3/Nutty Raisin:
They’re a little nutty- hence why they sometimes go into Cloud Cuckoolander territory.
Speaking of which, they wear a bag over their head to hide the scars they’ve gotten.
And they like to talk to crows just as much as their fellow villagers.
Raisin Villager 4/Raisin Pudding:
They’re pretty good at playing soccer alongside the others.
They’ve decided to teach the Raisin Crows how to play soccer.
And they’re quite the bookworm in terms of reading.
Raisin Villager 5/Cuccidati:
They’re more into learning magic, and stay up extra hours.
One of their favorite spells are those that involve healing.
Speaking of which, they dream of becoming a great magician one day.

And when you ask if everything's alright, he sort of realized he can't explain everything, make you self aware, and you possibly having an existential crisis.
Yan!gamer is never leaving your side now, you don't need to fight bosses and get hurt! You have him now, and he's overpowered! Not to mention, he can't look away and find some other character trying to court you! (Not that they can, he's just paranoid.)

going back home is not an option anymore, that much pudding has already figured out. following the voices on a journey that so far has only been half planned isn't much of an option either though. the path she's been walking on for the past few hours is getting less and less defined, as if someone had tried their best to keep it hidden. there's a voice at the the back of her mind that keeps saying to stay alert - something's off but pudding can't quite tell what. if only the animals around were a little more cooperative in not letting her die.

Carol:
She has a natural singing voice and one of the biggest dreams of her childhood was singing for a live audience.
Whenever she sings, animals flock to her, knowing that they’re safe in her presence. She’s basically a Disney Princess!
And speaking of which, she also collaborated with other singers like Rockstar, Poppin’ Candy and The Cake Pops, and Shining Glitter.
Pinecone:
