Time, and other hazy concepts  Adult!Professor!Wednesday x Larissa Weems fanfiction
This is a weird fic, born of a sleep-deprived brain sometime in December, which I never felt like going back to fix for posting until now. It is disconnected and stream of consciousness-like, but not quite. I hope it speaks to you in some weird way. It is a  a weird, meandering one-shot exploring how convoluted a seer’s brain can be. OOC, adult professor Wednesday/Larissa Weems.
Can be read on AO3 here - while my fanfiction masterlist ( admittedly with less weird stuff) is here

Time, and other hazy concepts
Wednesday Addams has a weird relationship with Time. Being plagued by visions of multiple possible pasts, presents and futures tends to do that to a person. Some people think of time as a line, others see it as a recurring circle of inevitable events. But to her, it is more like the ocean, with currents and waves, with ebbs and flows and whirlpools. This gives her a unique outlook on life, one that is often misunderstood by those whose normie brains are restricted by chains of their own making.
Look at Nevermore, for instance. Wednesday had come and gone and returned. And the school had always been there to envelop her in its long, narrow corridors and its stained-glassed windows like a mother, waiting for her wayward child. Different, as well as still the same. Time didn’t seem to touch the Academy: it changes and remains the same while throngs of students pass through its halls. Some vampires take decades to complete even one single schoolyear here at Nevermore, because they get lost in their own personal projects and there's no real hurry, right?, not when you're eternal. Wednesday feels like she understands them now. There’s so much to learn, so much accumulated knowledge hiding in the dusty tomes and experienced people, and to discover in labs and gardens and cellars alike.
She almost doesn’t notice when people start to call her Professor Addams. She quite likes the sound of it. They talk of her in whispered tones, reverently, they tell stories of the amazing psychic Raven, the one who had saved the school and the whole outcast world. When she crosses the quad, which is always a pentagon, their hushed tones quiet down in an awed silence, and Wednesday wonders if they too can see the fiery inferno that coursed through this place as if it was still there, the blackened hand of death from which life sprung back. Because Death is mysterious and tantalizing, but Life turned out to be quite awe-inspiring as well, an adventure which she had not anticipated would be so rewarding to explore.
Sometimes, she even remembers to show up on time to her own lectures. But Time, as she well knows, is a hazy concept, and the students just learn to drop by her classroom once in a while and see whether or not there’s a lesson going on. She likes it that way. It makes more sense to her, and Nevermore’s schedule wraps around her in a hug, adapting to her as it adapts to the specific needs of the generations of outcasts that travel through its hallways.
In one timeline Wednesday had held her as her eyes glossed over in the cold throes of death. But in this one she lifts her eyes every day to see Principal Weems solidly at the helm of Nevermore Academy as she should be. As she has always and will always be. There is still debate in the scientific community on whether or not shapeshifters actually age, but age is just a way to try and trap Time, and is not something that has ever made much sense to Wednesday. Principal Weems just is, like the school that is her pride and joy. She is eternal, she has always been.
Principal Weems has been the one who invited Wednesday back to her home, Nevermore, and offered her a room in the faculty quarters and molded the schedule around her new employee’s wandering habits. She is the one that invites Wednesday to her office once in a while, to talk about the students and the school and the past over a glass of wine. And if they end up staying up talking till the lights of dawn start to filter through the window and the embers are dwindling up in the fireplace, what is but one night in front of the whole of Time? They are one and the same, Wednesday and the principal, two sides of the same coin, hard-headed and passionate, unforgiving and unyielding in the things they deem important.
Larissa Weems still calls her exhausting and a trouble magnet, but with a kind, knowing smile and Wednesday feels like the principal is the only one that can make sense of Wednesday’s own thoughts and ways. Because in all of the timelines, in all of Time’s roaring tempestuous waves, she was there by Wednesday’s side when it mattered. When they saved the school, together. So, when one night Larissa’s strong hand covers Wednesday’s own in a silent request, Wednesday curls her own around it, basking in the warmth that glows in her dark heart.
She still plays the cello in the night on her old terrace but her eyes don’t follow the written partition anymore. She pours her soul out and crafts it into music, her fingers travelling on the chords, and pulling the bow mercilessly across the instrument. Her eyes never leave the icy ones of the only person in front of her, the one she dedicates her performances to, the one that never ceases to listen to her, rapture on her beautiful face. They are beyond Time, beyond Reality itself when they are there, wrapped in each other as well as in the music. When the last cello note ends vibrating in the night air, Wednesday runs her fingers on another instrument, and makes her sing through the night.
Change is Time’s child, and its parent. How can things change if they are suspended above the roaring seas that want to buffet them around in the currents of befores and afters? Wednesday accepts Change as she does Time, unflinching and unperturbed by its schemes. But she can understand that for others change is scary, and overwhelming, and she gently guides her principal and lover through its difficult twists and turns and traps, with a patience that surprises the both of them. Some things are worth being patient for. A golden band on her finger is a change that Wednesday finds herself staring at more often than others, a phantom of a smile ghosting on her lips. Maybe it is not a change, though, maybe the familiar weight of ring had always been there, its meaning has always been there. Now it has only taken on a physical form, but it doesn’t change Wednesday feelings. Those have always been and always will be.
Wednesday has never been one to put things in boxes and label them. You cannot contain an ocean in a box, and you can't label all of its waves. So when her wife breaks down in front of Wednesday and tells her that on some days she feels like her husband instead, Wednesday holds them and dries their tears, kissing them away together with their worries. She calls them Larissa on wife days, and Lars on husband days and goes on loving them with all of her big black heart.
As far as we know, there is still a Nevermore Academy somewhere, in some fold of Time. The students come and go and Principal Weems is there to guide them and help them, together with their wife, Professor Addams.

It's a story set in a high school and revolves around Y/n, a lesbian student who has faced bullying and discrimination because of her sexuality. Her life takes an unexpected turn when Jenna, a popular and cruel girl, approaches her unexpectedly.
Summer vacation had just ended, and it was time to return to school. The sense of freedom and carefreeness I had enjoyed during the summer was fading, giving way to anxiety and worry about what awaited me in the new and fortunately final school year.
I walked to school, headphones in my ears playing the sweet sound of "Daylight" by David Kushner. The music enveloped me, trying to make me forget the impending start of a new school year, which I anticipated to be as disastrous as the previous ones.
I paused for a moment, taking in my surroundings. Leaves were slowly falling onto the grass, a sign that summer was gradually giving way to autumn. The temperatures were dropping, and the bus stop was as crowded as ever, with familiar faces. Looking around the neighborhood, I noticed subtle differences. The air was quieter than usual, with many people still asleep at this hour. Gray clouds covered the sky, giving the atmosphere a more melancholic feel.
I walked almost like a shadow, lost in my thoughts. A sigh of frustration escaped my lips as I thought about why I should endure this daily torture. Why should I endure the bruises from the taunts inflicted by the popular kids?
The truth is, there is a reason, even though there shouldn't be. I'm a lesbian. It's surprising how something so personal can become an issue for others, especially considering we're in the 21st century. I often wonder how my sexuality could affect anyone's life other than my own. It should be a personal matter, a part of who I am, but it seems that some people are obsessed with the idea that they should judge me for it. I didn't choose to be a lesbian; it's simply who I am, and it feels unfair that I have to bear the weight of others' prejudice and ignorance.
There's a sense of frustration in seeing the world move forward in many other areas but still having to face discrimination and bullying because of my identity. But despite it all, I'll continue to be myself and hope that one day the world can accept anyone, regardless of who we love.
I sigh deeply and shake my head, instinctively biting my lower lip as I walk. Confusion and frustration surround me, but I try to keep them at bay. My eyes turn towards the house in front of me, and a spontaneous smile spreads across my face when I see my best friend, Sofia Carson, coming out of her house with her backpack. It's a relief to see her, especially in moments like this.
Sofia is a girl with black hair and lively eyes that radiate enviable confidence. Her contagious smile and friendly personality make her a special person. As I get a little closer, I see Sofia running toward me with a radiant smile on her lips. Her black hair flows behind her as she approaches, almost as if her positive energy could brighten the whole day. She's my rock in this chaotic world, and her presence makes me feel stronger and less alone.
I remove my headphones and turn my attention to Sofia. "Hey, Sof. How was the trip?" I ask with a smile, trying to momentarily push away the thoughts that were tormenting me.
Sofia wraps an arm around my neck and leans her weight against my body.
"I missed you so much, you know?" she says, looking at me with bright eyes.
"We haven't seen each other for just two weeks," I murmur, amused.
"True... but the trip to Europe was great... I went to Italy!" she exclaims with enthusiasm.
"Is it true that everyone in Italy is beautiful?" I ask with curiosity, and Sofia huffs, nodding several times. Her reaction makes me laugh.
"Yes, it's true..." Sofia seems a bit embarrassed as she bites her lower lip, and I can't help but laugh again.
"And what have you been up to these past two weeks while I was gone?" Sofia asks timidly, and a shiver runs slightly down my spine. During that time, I experienced a panic attack and escalating depression, succumbing to the temptation of the razor blade. Unconsciously, I pull the sleeve of my leather jacket down to hide the scars.
"Oh, nothing special, you know," I reply, trying to smile. I don't want to worry Sofia with my problems, at least not right now.
Sofia looks at me out of the corner of her eye, seeming to doubt my words. My attempt to conceal what I've been through in the past two weeks doesn't seem convincing. Without even realizing it, we had already reached the gates of LA High School. We look at the imposing building, aware that another school year awaits us.
"Oh, did you hear? The new album by The Weeknd just came out!" Sofia exclaims with excitement. "Really? I didn't know!" I respond, surprised and relieved by the change of topic. "I'll have to listen to it when I get home."
A few steps ahead, as we gaze at the school panorama, Sofia returns to the subject. "I bet it's fantastic; his last album was amazing."
"I hope so," I say with a smile. "I like his music."
We exchange a few more words, but soon Sofia is called over by some of her friends in the distance. "Hey, y/n/n, want to come with me?" she asks, but I shake my head, feeling embarrassed. I don't want to add my discomfort to her social interactions, so I watch her walk away, hoping that my best friend can enjoy her day without the burdens I carry with me.
I put my headphones back on, and my smile quickly fades, replaced by the sadness that seems to inevitably return. As I pass through the school doors, anxiety grows within me.
But before I can take a step, two arms enter my field of vision, and I find myself quickly with my back against the lockers. The force of the impact makes me grit my teeth and hold back the tears, clenching my jaw to prevent a whimper from escaping my lips.
The perpetrator of my pain is Asher Spenser, the brown-haired guy and captain of the basketball team. "Look who we have here! And I was hoping not to see you until at least the last year," he says with a contemptuous smile.
"But at least I'll have something to take my frustration out on, you disgusting freak," he hisses through his teeth, his tone filled with hatred and ridicule. As I face yet another challenge in my day, I know I must find the strength to endure these cruel words and ongoing torment.
Asher sadistically laughs. "Without your little friend Sofia? She was always there to solve your problems."
His laughter is like a knife stabbing into my heart, and I feel increasingly isolated.
Then, with a boundless malevolence, he continues to whisper, "Even your best friend got tired of you... do everyone a favor... kill yourself."
His words are like daggers in the dark, hurting more than his physical actions. My jaw clenches as I try to hold back the tears, and humiliation and anger merge into a storm within me. But I know I can't let him see how much he's hurt me. I have to endure.
"What do you want, Asher?" I murmur weakly, hoping he'll go away.
"The disgusting lesbian suddenly found some courage!" he says sarcastically, and before I can react, he pushes me against the lockers again.
A female voice intervenes from a distance.
"Let her go, Ash." But Asher seems to ignore her. He presses my face against the locker, forcing me to turn my attention to the instigator of my torment, Jenna Ortega. She's the captain of the cheerleading squad and the leader of the popular group. Next to her is Cassie, her best friend, who's sipping on a smoothie.
"Stop looking at Cassie, a freak like you can't ogle my girlfriend," Asher slams my body against the lockers again, making me slide to the ground. His violence is palpable as I stand there, unable to react or defend myself. Anger and shame blend together as I feel the gazes of curious onlookers.
"Let her go, Ash," Jenna repeats, giving me a quick glance. Her request seems surprising given her involvement in my troubles. "Suddenly you're being nice to her?" Asher asks, looking puzzled. Jenna opens her mouth in indignation. "I can't stand her, you know that," she justifies herself, "it's just that some teachers are roaming the school, and if they catch you, you'll get detention."
Before I can get up from the ground, a liquid spills over my head. I feel completely dirty from what seemed to be a strawberry smoothie. With tear-blurred eyes, I look towards Cassie.
She then throws the empty cup at me, always wearing a smirk on her lips. Her laughter is malicious and cold, while Asher laughs heartily by her side. Jenna, on the other hand, has a strange look on her face, as if she's reflecting on what's happening.
Without thinking, I run to the bathroom, utterly embarrassed, just wishing to get rid of the sticky smoothie. My day has turned into a nightmare, and the only comfort I can find is in the privacy of the bathroom, where I can try to recover and hide my humiliation.
I dash towards the bathrooms with my head down, earning chuckles and looks of pity from some students who have stopped to witness the scene. My desperate run draws the attention and sympathy of those who see my condition.
I know a place where I can seek refuge. It's a bathroom located on the fifth floor, long abandoned by the school. The walls are faded and peeling, the floor is covered in dust. Mirrors are often cracked or scratched, and the air is filled with a gloomy and neglected atmosphere. It's a place where no one would bother to look for me, an isolated corner where I can hide my shame and try to regain a semblance of dignity. It's my secret sanctuary, away from prying eyes and the torment of bullies.
The first thing I do when I enter the bathroom is take off my leather jacket, leaving just the hoodie and top. I look at myself in the mirror, and my reflection fills me with disgust. Tears silently stream down my cheeks. Amidst the sobs, I turn on the faucet, letting the water flow. I bite my lower lip as I lean down, tilting my head to wet my hair, desperately trying to remove the sticky smoothie.
The cold water runs through my hair and down my skin, refreshing my flushed face. As I continue to rinse my hair, I hear a voice coming from the entrance of the bathroom.
"So, you were here when we couldn't find you," the voice says. I glance at myself in the mirror again, wondering why Jenna can't just leave me alone.
"What do you want, Jenna? You want to pull my hair? You want to dunk my head in the toilet?" I ask in frustration, challenging her. I've reached a point where I can't bear her cruelties without defending myself.
Jenna blinks in surprise, seemingly not expecting my reaction. Her expression, however, quickly turns into a disdainful sneer. Her skin is impeccably fair, and her black hair falls in soft waves. She's wearing a short skirt and a pink crop top that showcases her well-maintained figure. Despite her attractive appearance, her ruthless and cruel demeanor makes it hard to ignore how toxic she can be.
"I just wanted to know how you were," Jenna defends herself with what seems like a gentle tone, although her eyes betray a hint of sarcasm.
At that moment, I smile sarcastically too, unable to believe her words. I know all too well that behind this sudden concern lies another form of manipulation. Jenna excels at making her actions appear kind, only to strike even harder afterward. I won't be fooled by her.
"What do you want, Jenna?" I ask again, trying to understand her true intentions. Her eyes move along my wet body, following the path of water droplets running from my hair down my shoulders and down my body to my abdomen. It's an embarrassing sensation, feeling scrutinized like this.
"I told you, I wanted to know how you were," Jenna replies again, but this time, she seems to say it without sarcasm. Her sudden sincerity surprises me, but I remain cautious. I'm not sure if I can really trust her words, considering her history of cruelty.
"Come on, Jenna... we both know you're no saint," I say with a hint of venom in my voice.Jenna huffs with anger, evidently irritated by my challenge.
The tension between us is palpable, and even though it seems like she wants to be kind now, I can't forget all the pain she has inflicted on me in the past.
I'm cautious, but at least for now, it seems like she wants to stop tormenting me. Her eyes move along my body again, but this time, they linger on my arm. I shudder, realizing that someone has discovered my scars. My breathing becomes irregular as Jenna looks at me with confusion and panic.
"Do... do you hurt yourself?" Jenna asks, swallowing nervously. Her words hit me like a punch in the gut. I had never thought that someone would discover my darkest secret. Instinctively, I grab my jacket and put it on, wanting to cover my scars. At that moment, I don't care that I'm only wearing a top, as I have no intention of going to class, and I'll likely go home early.
Jenna approaches me, looking at my wrist covered by the jacket's sleeve. Her expression is hard to decipher, a mix of concern and confusion. I'm not sure what to make of this situation. I had never imagined having such a conversation with Jenna.
"Show me..." Jenna mutters and, without waiting for my response, takes my hand. Her nails delicately trace my skin before she lifts the jacket's sleeve. It's surprising how gentle she is in this moment. She places her hand around my scars, feeling their texture.
"Why do you cut yourself?" Jenna timidly asks.
"Isn't it obvious?" I respond with venom, anger boiling inside me.
"Listen..." Jenna starts, but I immediately cut her off. I have no desire to listen to her or explain my reasons.
"Sorry okay?" She say.
Consumed by anger, I approach her, and surprisingly, she doesn't move, almost challenging me with her gaze. "I don't need your pity... not after you've shown me your true colors all these years," I say with a whisper, my voice filled with anger.
I don't want her pity now, after everything I've been through. Jenna looks at me with tearful, shining eyes, but my heart is too full of pain and anger to accept her apologies so easily. "It was my only way..." Jenna mutters, her voice breaking, "...it was my only way to get close to you." Her confession surprises me deeply.
I had never imagined that her actions could be an attempt to get closer to me, even if it was in a strange and destructive way. My anger and pain mix with confusion as I try to understand her motivations.
"But what the hell..." I mutter instinctively, unable to believe what I'm hearing.
Jenna continues to speak, confessing her true motivations. "I was... I was so jealous of how you could be yourself without fear of others' reactions... You seemed happy... you were happy even though others looked at you strangely, knowing your sexual orientation..."
Jenna swallows nervously, visibly anxious but continues. "I... really like you, Y/n," she confesses, her words filling the air between us.
I'm taken aback by this revelation. I had never imagined that Jenna could have romantic feelings for me after everything she had done.
"Don't mock me..." I say with anger, my confusion and pain turning into rage. "If you really like me, you wouldn't have treated me that way."
Her past actions, her bullying, and her cruelties had been so damaging to me that it's hard to accept her words now. I'm not sure if I can trust Jenna, even though she seems to have opened up to me.
"Do I seem like an idiot to you?" I ask, watching Jenna shake her head.
"I saw how people looked at you... I was afraid that someone like me would be treated the same," she confesses sincerely.
"Just because you're a popular girl doesn't mean you can't fall for someone like me," I say sarcastically, my anger and frustration still palpable. Her admission is creating a mix of emotions in me, but I can't help but be skeptical of her intentions.
The situation is incredibly complicated.
"I'm really in love with you..." Jenna murmurs softly, placing her hand on my cheek. I close my eyes at her touch, feeling her nails on my skin. But Jenna's touch shakes me, and I quickly remove her hand from my face.
"You could have just been my friend... like Sofia..." I mutter, smiling sarcastically. "Now I need to leave; this situation is really unpleasant."
Without saying another word, I leave the room, leaving Jenna Ortega confused and alone.
And certainly, such a confession wasn't enough to erase what she had done.

~Lost and found~ (Larissa Weems x student!reader)
The reader is 19 in this fic!!! The show makes it clear they have students well above the age of consent.
Sorry for the longer than expected wait! Mocks are a bitch and a half! The reader is a snarky little shit in this chapter btw- The chapters will be getting slightly longer as I get more comfortable with the story but please let me know if you would prefer shorter chapters.
Chapter 1, Chapter 2 (1.2k words)
Thank you for all your kind words about the last chapter <3 I hope you continue to enjoy my shitty angst!!!
Lastly thank you once again to @thefangedman for the editing to make the story make any semblance of sense. You should check out their Tiffany Valentine fic! It's amazing!!!
Static takes over my senses. I slowly come round from my near death experience at the hands of my own Headmistress - ‘my duty is to protect all the students within these walls’ my ass. The glaring lights start to bother my shut eyes, begging me to open them and rejoin the living world. I'll give it 5 more minutes. I haven't had a nap like this in years.
Just as I'm getting comfortable, I hear the tapping of heels on a wooden floor, pacing back and forth. From what I can piece together, Weems accidentally impeded my ability to breathe; I passed out and she has dragged me to her office because she's too embarrassed to tell the nursing staff what happened. Hmm... I should have some fun with her. Fake amnesia seems like it'll do the trick. I mentally smirk, thinking over the horrified reaction I'll get to see on her face.
I flutter open my eyes to play into the act of just having awoken. I stare at the ceiling, hearing her rush towards me. "Mx/Mr/Miss L/N, how are you feeling? It appears you... umm, passed out in the corridor."
I turn to face her, sitting up on the leather sofa I'm lying on. I rub my forehead, slightly obscuring my eye as a confused expression crosses my features.
"...I'm sorry but who is Mx/Mr/Miss L/N, and who are you?" Her face, like I thought, is priceless - she even backs away slightly.
Her voice quivers as she talks, an unfamiliar tone in the usually confident woman.
"S-shit...no no no. This can't be happening, I d-didn't. God, what am I going to do-" with this, she grips my face in her hand, the other removing my own from my forehead, grasping it gently as our eyes meeting in perfect alignment. The only difference is her eyes are glazed over with tears that will fall any second, "I am so sorry, Y/N..."
God, this was meant to be fun, but it's just depressing.
I swear, she has an ability to suck all the joy out of anything I do. I roll my eyes at her, but in reality a small part of me feels regret. Regret over my actions, regret over leaving her in this state, but alas, I repress this thought and lean into the anger. I rip my hand out of hers and shove her away from me.
"You're so annoying! I can't even prank you after you nearly murder me without you sucking the joy out of it. Also- thanks for being too scared to take me to see the nursing staff, or even an actual fucking doctor incase God forbid you got into trouble. I could have gotten actual brain damage-"
I am interrupted mid-rant when she embraces me, her face buried in my neck, now fully sobbing. Fuck. Why do I always have to be such a blunt asshole? I need Noah to translate my words into nice ‘feeling protecting’ ones, he's good at all the dumb emotional stuff. Normally I am at least okay at faking, and I can get by, but everything just feels so foggy. No matter how hard I try, I can't concentrate on finding the right words.
I feel awkward as her hot tears sear into my skin like a mark of shame. I bring my hand to her head, undoing her usual pristine hairstyle. I run my hand over her scalp and the nape of her neck, gently scratching her skin. She calms down slowly, relaxing more into me more. My hand slows with her tears, until both cease and we remain there, unmoving for what feels like eternity. Neither one of us knows how to proceed, not wanting to ruin our brief moment of peace and unspoken understanding of what the other needs.
It has to end eventually however, and I am the one to do so, saying words I never thought I'd utter to this woman in my life. Before I can gather what to say three simple words cross my mind, "...I am sorry."
No. I will never apologise to this woman.
Instead I simply remove all venom from my being. I render myself completely vulnerable to her, a spider without its fangs, completely defenceless. "I don't think before I speak. As you know I'm not exactly great at the whole communication thing. So understand, I did not mean to hurt you. I just struggle when taking others emotions into account and instead I chose to be selfish by lashing out at you, it was immature of me."
The air felt thick as I tried to regain my lost stoicism. I feel shame and pity for both of us. I pry her away from my body as I stand, desperately needing to leave, but my legs buckle beneath my weight as everything goes blurry - fuck. I must have hit my head harder than I thought.
Before my body can meet the welcoming ground, I am snatched by a set of strong arms. She turns me to face her once more, before gently setting me on the settee. She turns away from me walking towards her desk as she speaks, her voice still not quite back to it's typical happy/mildly aggressive cadence.
"I had the nurses come to see you here, because I know you don't like the nursing wing of the academy. They said you'd have a mild concussion from hitting your head, and told me to observe you, which is why I didn't put you in your dorm. I know you think of me as being too proud to admit when I am wrong, but I want you to know I will never put my pride before the health of you, or anyone else in this academy."
God, what is wrong with Weems, I think I broke her. She's being too emotional - in the sad way, normally she's just angry. I swear, she speaks exclusively in passive aggressive niceness. I lift my head to properly meet her eyes.
She has taken her seat pride of place behind her desk, having almost the same power behind it as when a queen takes her throne. I begin to verbalise my thoughts.
"Are you on your period? Or are you too old for that... when does menopause start? Oh wait, could it be perimenopause? Oh god, are you pregnant? Can you still even get pregnant?" I become horrified as the last thought even crossed my mind, that poor child.
I notice Weem's equally horrified expression contorting her features, "Mx/Mr/Miss L/N just how old do you think I am exactly? I also don't appreciate the invasive line of questioning, but for your information, no, I am not pregnant."
I shutter slightly feeling her peircing gaze wait for me to answer her. "I want to say, 54...?" Oh God, she looks like she's about to slap me. "54! I beg your pardon, Mx/Mr/Miss L/N, I am 44, and I do not appreciate you aging me a decade! I should give you an extra detention for this alone."
I look at her, wondering if she has been seriously affected by my words, merely her vanity showing as per usual, or if this is her failed attempt trying to be more humorous while scolding me. I run my hand through my hair and let it fall over my eyes.
"I don't give a shit how old you are! You still cried like a baby either way, get over yourself, you're not 2. So what? You nearly murdered someone, we've all been there. You aren't special, so don't expect sympathy from me!"
Weems stands once and strides towards me. I am not interested in her lectures about manners and etiquette, so I leave quickly through the nearest set of doors and out into the corridor, taking a sharp right into the closest room to me.
Grabbing the chair beside me, I barricade the door, allowing myself to slide down it and contemplate all that's happened thus far, while also figuring out an excuse. I look around the room, only now realising I've locked myself within Weems' bedroom.
"Shit."

*I had to fix this AGAIN bc I forgot to make it week long
The Anon inspired this, and I put it in that post only for it to be hidden under the "Keep Reading" thing, so I'm moving it here. ETA: HAD TO PUT FORTUNATO IN THERE SINCE YANNO. IYKYK
There are no great searchable Wenovan .gifs (not that I can find). Still, after almost a year after the publication of Afterburn. In fact, this is what comes up when I search for it in the . gifs (bottom left is my movie, I moved it):
Tumblr media
Are those all relevant to Wenovan?
I think so, especially the top 4. 😂😂😂

Hi! This is the Morissa x Reader requester, finally got it edited, lol. (If u don't want to do it that's completely fine ☺️)
(Would love it being split into or a long chapter with the build up and then the fucking lol)
Sub!Morticia x Sub!Larissa x Top!Tall!Fem!Shapeshifter!Reader, Morticia and Larissa loved being carried and had been begging to be manhandled during sex but Reader is too scared to because of her werewolf strength but Tish and Rissa conduct a plan to get Reader to break and do it, and when that happens Reader snaps and fucks them both into nothing but babbling nonsense messes.
(Morticia loves being manhandled during sex and moved by Reader into the position Reader wants her in, Morticia loves being carried upright, legs wrapped around readers waist, arms around readers neck and head tucked into neck(doesn’t care where y’all are will just jump into ur arms and snuggles into you, been that way sinceur time at Nevermore together, Same with Rissa but she loves being carried bridal style and curled up with head tucked into readers neck. What sets Reader off is when she peaks into Rissa's office and sees them masterbating side by side but they don't know Reader saw till she gets home)
(Biting kink(likes to bite and be bit, Morticia), spanking(both), Daddy kink(both), shapeshifter peen(Reader), praise kink(both), they both absolutely PREEN at being called good girls and melt on the spot (literally ruined underwear).
Hey there anon, thanks for being so patient 💕 I would love to write this!! We love sub!larissa & sub!morticia 🤭🏳️‍🌈 AND we LOVE some build up! I added a song for inspiration and some extra spice 😉 SMUT to come in later chapters!

Part 1 of a mini series
Enjoy (;
After the fiasco with Wednesday and Marilyn Thornhill almost destroying the school, Morticia had found it best to join the faculty to keep an eye on Wednesday.
The new school year welcomed Morticia Addams as the official Potions instructor as well as You as the new Herbology Professor.
And Larissa being lucky to be alive was an understatement.
You as the Marilyn’s assistant had found Larissa with the poison already in her system and everyone else having left. You had managed to counter act the poison with a rare healing plant that you had been secretly growing on the side.
From there, Larissa had immediately given you the job of being the herbology professor.
~~~
Morticia and Larissa had always had a thing.
And now that they were working together, it made their thing even more apparent…
But there was one singular, nagging issue…
They were both submissive.
Larissa spent her whole day and night dominating in her life, so when it came to her sex life, she was more than willing if not insistent that she hand over the reins of control.
Similarly, Morticia was the matriarch over the entire Addams family and she had such a submissive husband, that she couldn’t handle another thing in which she was expected to be in control.
Both women just needed a break for gods sake…
And this thing between them, only made the pair even more sexually frustrated.
Luckily, They found you.
~~~
After Larissa’s near death experience, she insisted to take you out for coffee as a thank you.
From the time you had been working as the herbology assistant, Larissa had gauged you to be introverted, calm, and shy person. Overall very submissive.
This was ironic to her as your build screamed the exact opposite; You were toned and quite tall (and that’s a big claim coming from Larissa), you carried yourself with elegance and dressed well.
But your presence was quiet, you did as you were told, and you rarely raised a hand against anything.
But Ohhh how her perspective changed when you two met for that coffee…
She had insisted that you call her Larissa, and you had immediately insisted the same for you as well.
Unlike at the school, you were far more talkative to the blonde and your laughter and smiles were far less contained.
Larissa quickly came to find your laugh rather intoxicating…
You were a lot more straight forward and clear on what you wanted and what you thought.
She realized that while you were introverted, you were certainly not submissive.
And as you and her were chatting, a thought sparked in Larissa’s mind…
You were the solution to her and Morticia’s little dilemma.
That was of course if a) you even liked women and b) you were even interested.
Which both of these things stumped Larissa a bit as she had no clue.
So naturally Larissa decided that after her coffee with you she would go directly to Morticia’s office to confer with her.
~~~
“I’m sorry, what?” Morticia asked, a bit stunned from the retelling of events which Larissa had just given her.
“It’s a lot I know. But I think it could work… But I don’t know if she’s interested or even gay, ‘Tish…” Larissa continued.
Their cute nicknames for each other always made the other woman blush…
At that, Morticia let out a elegant giggle if there ever was one.
“She’s gay, ‘Rissa…” Morticia chuckled.
Larissa looked at her with confusion.
Morticia burst into more laughter at her face, “You really have terrible gaydar…!” She chuckled once she had composed herself more.
“I do not…” Larissa grumbled.
“Yes you do.”
At not wanting to discuss this topic anymore, Larissa pivoted the conversation.
“Alright, but even if she is gay, there is no guarantee that she would be interested in something like that…” she spoke with a hint of disappointment laced in her tone.
“Hmmm…” Morticia mused, “Well why don’t we just ask her…?”
“Who?” was Larissa’s immediate, next question.
The room went silent.
“Not it!” Both of the women yelled simultaneously.
They both groaned and laughed at their own unwillingness to step up and ask.
“Perhaps it would be better if we both approached Y/N.” Larissa stated.
And Morticia couldn’t agree more.
~~~
Everyone knew that being called into the principals office was never a good thing…
So when you got requested by the principal at the crack ass of dawn on the following Monday morning, you were nervous to say the least.
Had you done something at the coffee meet?
Did you forget to turn something in?
Where you in trouble??
As you reached Larissa’s office doors, you took a deep breath and knocked with a slightly shaky hand.
“Come in!” You heard two muffled voices yell.
Two people?
Maybe you had offended or hurt somebody??
You took another deep breath before opening the door to be met by none other than Larissa Weems and Morticia Addams standing in Larissa’s office.
~~~
The second you had walked into the office, Morticia and Larissa shared a look and both committed in that moment.
“Professor, Lovely for you to join us. We had a matter that we wanted to discuss with you.” Larissa began.
“Alright. What’s the matter?” You asked.
Larissa looked over to Morticia for help.
“Well… Why don’t we all have a seat first.” Morticia suggested, glancing over to Larissa dottingly.
Larissa let out a small sigh of relief which she hoped you hadn’t caught before continuing, “Yes! That sounds like an excellent idea. Please Morticia, Miss L/N, do sit.”
“Thank you.” You spoke, “And Professor or Y/N will be just fine.”
Larissa didn’t meet your gaze but rather have a curt nod and a small smile as she too sat down.
“So… What would you like to talk about?” You asked again.
Both women took a deep breath.
They exchanged glances, in an almost fight for who would ask you…
Morticia won.
“We… We are looking… Well, we thought…” Larissa stumbled over her words.
“We’re polyamorous!” Morticia blurted out.
Larissa’s eyes widened at Morticia’s bluntness, “Yes, and we’re interested in you…”
Silence.
Both women sat there on the edge of of their seats, awaiting your response.
A small smirk crept up on your face as you finally responded, “Ah I see… Well then what do you want from me?”
Both woman stared at you doe eyed with their mouths agape as they both audibly gulped.
~~~
When you knocked on Larissa’s office door, you were nervous.
When you heard two people calling for you to enter, you were still shaking.
But then you walked in met by none other than Larissa Weems and Morticia Addams…
There was something off.
You knew from the second the pair had exchanged glances as you walked in. It looked like glances of reassurance almost…
Suddenly, you felt a little less nervous.
“Professor, Lovely for you to join us. We had a matter that we wanted to discuss with you.” Larissa had said.
Her voice was faltering and she was straining and struggling to keep her authoritative tone…
You knew this behavior…
“Alright. What’s the matter?” You matter of factly stated.
Seemingly the entire power dynamic has flipped on its top in a matter of seconds…
Then Larissa looked over to Morticia AGAIN. You had never seen such a dependent, questioning side to the woman.
“Well… Why don’t we all have a seat first.” Morticia said,
in what you assumed she tried to convey as a decision but came out a lot more like a questioning suggestion…
Then you heard Larissa’s breath hitch in a sigh.
You flickered your eyes in her direction, but she quickly looked away.
“Yes! That sounds like an excellent idea. Please Morticia, Miss L/N, do sit.” larissa managed to choke out.
She was back on a last name basis… desperate to try and front some sort of formality and power, you noted.
You were sure to correct her, something inside you was driving to put Larissa back in her place…
“Thank you. And Professor or Y/N will be just fine.”
At that Larissa still couldn’t meet your gaze, and Morticia was conveniently staring out the window.
But you caught her recognition with her small smile and nod.
That would never do if she was yours…
But she wasn’t yours.
“So… What would you like to talk about?” You asked again, now even more curious than before.
Both women’s breathing hitched, which they corrected almost immediately with a deep breath.
You were fully involved at this point. You wanted to know what had them so riled up.
And then they started flickering their gazes back and forth…
It was only for mere seconds, but you wouldn’t miss something like that.
And this is when it clicked for you…
These two strong, independent women in front of you were submissively squirming underneath you…
They were fighting for dominance.
And Morticia most definitely had won.
“We… We are looking… Well, we thought…” Larissa stuttered, causing a blush to tint her cheeks from embarrassment and causing you to have to stifle a giggle.
“We’re polyamorous!” Morticia blurted out, but immediately becoming red after her own statement.
You could tell that that made Larissa shift and squirm in her seat…
They were getting to the matter which made them squirm so deliciously…
“Yes, and we’re interested in you…” Larissa added on in a desperate attempt for their desperation to be salvaged.
But it was too late.
You knew…
“Ah I see… Well then what do you want from me?”
You knew what they wanted…
But you wanted to make them say it…

Miss Ortega|  j.o
Tumblr media
jenna ortega x lector
Before entering the new school year, I never thought that changing my calculus teacher would change my life completely. Specifically, brown eyes and freckles left me with no choice but to surrender to them. Jenna Ortega, the new calculus teacher was going to come into the life of many students, who were only going to see her as one more teacher among many in the school. But unlike them, Professor Ortega was not only going to advise me for an academic contest, but also, to divert me from the path to what had once been my comfort zone.
“Did you hear that there will be a new Calculus teacher?" Enid said with a hint of happiness. A new school year began at Nevermore Academy, and all the students were excited about the news. Mr. Brown was an old grump who spent half of his time belittling boys and girls because they didn't understand his classes. Countless times I had argued with that idiot, suppressing the urge to gouge his eyes out every time he made Enid cry, calling her things like "stupid" and "I should have failed you." Despite that, he had never said anything offensive to me, perhaps because I was his only student who excelled in his class. Maybe it was that motivation that gave me the courage to confront him and defend my best friend. Half the time, I couldn't bear to argue with this old man, and as a result, I visited the principal's office quite often. I knew his office by heart. I closed my locker with a dull thud and smiled at Enid while holding my books. Ironically, we were going to have Calculus as our first class, and to make it even more dreadful, it was going to be two hours long.
Two endless hours.
 I hope this new teacher is pleasant.
"Actually, yes, I'm glad that old grump is gone. I couldn't stand him anymore," I rolled my eyes with annoyance, starting to walk towards our destination. Enid walked faster, catching up to me, trying to catch her breath. "But you were his favorite!" Enid interlocked our arms, walking slower in the hallway. "Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that he has been unbearable," I tilted my head, feeling somewhat uncertain about my words. Enid furrowed her brow, and her grip on my arm loosened as we entered our classroom. We took the last seats. "Hey T/N, have you seen Spencer? She's not responding to my messages," the blonde looked at her phone with a pout, typing something I couldn't identify. I shook my head slowly, turning on my phone. A notification made me smile at the coincidence. It was from Spencer.
S: Hey T/N, I'm staying home today. I'm feeling sick.
                                                             Me: Don't worry, see you later.
"Spencer isn't coming, she's sick," I turned off my phone, putting it in a corner of my desk. The blonde looked somewhat annoyed at me. "Well, she's MY friend, and she doesn't even take the time to let me know, but she does with you," she took out her pencil case and books, muttering words I couldn't catch. "What can I say? I'm amazing," I smiled at her, and she rolled her eyes in feigned annoyance. The bell rang, signaling the start of the school year, and all the students entered their respective classrooms. The murmurs and curiosity were palpable in this school; everyone wanted to find out who the new teacher was. I rested my head on my desk, scanning the hallway outside the window. The sound of heels approaching made me shiver, and unconsciously, I looked towards the classroom door. As the sound of heels drew nearer, my heart pounded rapidly against my ribcage from nervousness. "It seems like it's a female teacher," Enid whispered beside me, nervous and excited about the news. I looked at Enid with a trembling smile. The murmurs grew louder until they ceased completely. Confused, I looked towards the door, and my breath got stuck in my throat when I saw who was standing there. A woman, too young I must admit, looked curiously at her new class. She was wearing jeans, a simple white tank top, and black heels. Her right hand held a small backpack. A ghost of a smile played on her face as she amusedly observed the students' reactions.
She... she can't be a teacher...
She entered the classroom, walking slowly towards her desk. She sat on it, swinging her legs. She smiled as she looked at us, trying to be friendly. "Hello, everyone. I'm Jenna Ortega, your new Calculus teacher," she smiled at us with a hint of mischief in her eyes.
This has to be a joke.

Wenclair Headcanon 🖤🩷
Wednesday realizes her feelings. Pt. 1
I lock my gaze in on the textbook sprawled out in front of me, pretending as if I didn’t catch Enid blatantly staring at me. I’m trying to ignore the fact that catching her has resulted in an unfamiliar, warm tingling sensation in my chest. How unsettling. How… Pleasant?
No.
The more I try not to focus on it, the more the words in the book in front of me blur to gibberish. I can feel a stinging of salt forming behind my eyes. The air suddenly feels too thick to breathe in. I go to grab my belongings so I can hurry out before something emerges that gives everyone a show. But the annoyance of being flustered causes my hand to pull too hard, and my textbook clamors down to the floor. If all eyes weren’t on me before, they certainly are now.
“Miss Addams, are you-“ Professor Lavinia starts, but i’m halfway out the door before she can finish. I trudge as fast as I can to the bathroom, my legs feeling like i’m walking through mud. I finally reach the restroom and the second the door swings shut, hurricane Wednesday is released.
What is this? Why is this happening? Why am I unable to hold back these tears, unable to catch my breath? Is this a panic attack? No. I am not an anxious person. This makes no sense. I topple over to the sink and throw an icy splash of water onto my face. The sudden coolness shocks me back to reality. My breath is finally catching. Just as I’m gaining control of myself again, the door swings open.
I look up, and as I lock eyes with the intruder to my moment of weakness, the stinging feeling returns to my eyes.
It’s her. Enid.
I take in a sharp breath of air, “what do you want, Sinclair?” I say coldly, trying not to make eye contact.
“I… um… Professor Lavinia asked for someone to come check on you. I… figured you’d prefer me over someone random. Are you alright?” she stutters.
I bring my gaze up to my reflection. Unable to recognize the being staring back at me. Emotional. Reddened, teary-eyes. Unable to form cohesive thoughts. This situation is absolutely horrifying, and I’m starting to believe i’ve gone mad.
“…..Wednesday?” she says. I realize I’ve been staring at myself for too long and didn’t actually answer her.
“I’m fine, Enid, I just-“ I start, making the mistake of locking eyes with her. Something pulls deep in my stomach at the sight of her. Her eyes are wide, with what I assume is worry. Normally I’m able to deflect any confrontation from those concerned with my feelings. But Enid.. I hate to admit it. But I’ve realized Enid has a way of making it through to the deepest parts of me in a way that’s incomprehensible. As if she’s found a weak point in the barricade i’ve built around my emotional side.
“I’m fine.” I spit out, quickly wiping my eyes and rushing to head out the door. I need air.
Just as I’m about to pass her, she does the unthinkable and grabs my arm. “Wednesday.” she says, a bit more stern inflection in her voice this time. She yanks me so i’m left with no choice but to face her, and I damn her werewolf capability of being physically stronger than her size would lead you to believe. “Touch me again, Sinclair, and. And…” I want to yell, I want to threaten her like I do to anyone who dares lay their hands on me unwillingly. But something makes me stop. My brow furrows at this frustrating conflict.
“Wednesday Addams, I know you’re totally not emotional and act like you don’t care, which is why this moment is so much more worrying for me. You told me that crying solves nothing, yet here you are. Clearly something IS wrong, and I’m not letting you go until you get whatever it is that’s happening off of your chest. Threaten to suffocate me, or cut off my hand, I don’t care. Spill, Addams. I’m serious,” she scolds. I stare harshly at her, and then sigh. I can feel my suppressed feelings starting to boil over, and the need to spew them out is burning in the back of my throat.
“Fine.” I spit, and out comes everything i’ve been trying so hard to avoid speaking aloud. Especially to the one who’s the causation of all this emotional turmoil.
(Pt. 2 will come soon! xx)

~Lost and Found~ (Larissa Weems x Student!Reader)
The reader is 19 in this fic!!! The show makes it clear they have students well above the age of consent.
My undying love for this woman and her actress mixed with the honesty concerning lack of fics for her character has finally compelled me to publish something. This fic is completely self indulgent and probably not worth your time but if you for some reason feel compelled to read on, thank you and enjoy!
Chapter one (1k words)
Be warned this is very shitty angst and do not expect it to get better as I continue on. If anything expect it to get worse. Nothing for this chapter but please be warned moving forward this fic will discuss some triggering topics which will be made clear at the start of each chapter they appear. Also eventual smut you have been warned...or teased?
Finally thank you to my friend who edited this because it's the only reason it is semi-readable, they're the best <3
The rain drops raced down the cold slabs of glass, through which I watched the students running late to their classes. They sprint across the courtyard with books above their heads, sacrificing their notes for the sake of keeping themselves dry.
I hear a faint ringing. Noises blurring into high pitched radio waves as I tune back in, slowly coming to the right frequency to hear the disgruntled voice of my teacher calling my name. I say nothing in return.
Dragging my attention to the front of the class, where my teacher is writing something on the board pertaining to- werewolf procreation? Vampire sex ed? I can't keep up with the 50 different (and equally boring) lectures this man gives.
Once again I find my mind wandering off to far away places. Anywhere but this grey box, which traps me within its walls like a glass traps a spider. I have given up on any hopes of understanding today's topic of useless information, so instead I retrieve my book from my school bag and begin to read. The Outsider by Albert Camus, ironic and meaningless when you're in a school for outcasts.
I am half way through the chapter when my teacher's grating voice once again bursts any sense of joy I am experiencing in his class. This time I just can't be bothered listening to the lecture on the importance of whatever the fuck he's teaching so I get up and walk out. He continues to get louder the further I get out the door, so I flip him off for good measure. Come on, seriously! How are you that bad at your job I can't figure out the topic of today's lesson even when I put the effort in to try? If I require this much to even figure out what to put as the title of notes then your teaching certainly isn't important enough, and you aren't good enough at your job to keep me in that room any longer.
I slowly make my way through the empty halls of the academy, continuing to read as I venture back to my dorm. Thankfully, I don't have to share a room. If I had a roommate, they'd probably be dead within the week. Probably not on purpose, but you never know - I could have just been having a really bad day, and thought a light spot of murder would cheer me up.
I bang into something large, falling over my feet onto the cold stone ground. I reach to pick up my book, but before I can reach it, it’s plucked from the ground by a hand, which my eyes follow up to a very disapproving Principal’s face. Oops? What am I meant to say, sorry? It was an empty corridor, she could have easily walked around me.
She's always needlessly difficult for no reason.
"Y/N..." Weems says seething, scowl firmly fixed on her face. God, the annoyance is really seeping into her tone and body language today. Normally she at least keeps the plastic smile up, while passive aggressively giving you a lecture on how you've disappointed her, harmed the school community and destroyed its image. Hmm... the board must have cut her budget for the semester.
I meet her eyes, nearly breaking my neck in the process since she's over a foot taller than me. I smirk as I address her. "Headmistress...I didn't see you there, out for a morning stroll?" She scrunches her nose briefly at my coy attitude before replying, her words like venom.
"No Mx/Mr/Miss L/N, I'm actually coming to find you because once again you've managed to piss off the teaching staff, and I have to deal with the repercussions of them complaining about you."
Honestly, I only processed one thing she said, and that was Weems swearing. She's never done that before. Hot... definitely hot.
I chuckle with a reply. "Well looks like I've out done myself this time. I've got you in such a state that the perfect facade has fallen and you're even swearing, that's not very school appropri-"
I am interrupted part way through my gloating by a sudden sharp pain in my back. I come to realise I have been slammed against the rough wall of the corridor, causing the air to leave my lungs and leaving me helplessly gasping for air.
She leans in close with an almost deadly expression as she whispers, "This is my final warning. Make light of this situation again and I'll have you in detention with me every lunch, free, and evening for the week on top of whatever I am going to have to arrange for your other grievances.
“Skipping class and disrespecting the teaching staff - not to mention, myself - with your snarky comments and nonchalant attitude when it comes to your studies. You refuse tutoring despite being seriously behind on control of your powers - do you even know if you have any? You certainly haven't displayed any thus far throughout the two years you've been at this school.
“Sometimes, I seriously question why you chose to transfer to this school, and why I even accepted your application. It had nothing Nevermore looks for in a student and you've clearly shown you don't intend to work on that."
Listening to her words as they become increasingly more personally, tears prick the corners of my eyes but I do not allow them to fall. I refuse to show weakness towards this woman who knows nothing about me. My brief sorrow turns to anger, as I respond with possibly my last words whilst I'm alive, "Go. Fuck. Your. Self."
I desperately try to escape her grip, but just like a fly in a spider-web, it is hopeless. She is a foot taller than me and twice my weight. Her arm presses harder against my chest, air struggling to get in and out as the carbon dioxide begins to drown me. Blurred darkness slowly eclipses my view of her.
I mean, there's worse things to see in your dying moments.

hii, I love your writing! I was wondering if you could do some fake dating for either Larissa, Miranda or Lucifer and female reader? :D You know the one where for some reason they decide it's good to pretend they're dating, but oh nooo they accidentally fall in love for real? 😱😏
Only Pretending
Hey, anon! Thank you so much for the request! I'm afraid it turned out bigger than I expected, I don't know what you envisioned but this will definitely be a multiple chapter one... Sorry!!!
Word count: 3k
Tumblr media
"That's all for today, guys. I won't give you homework, so enjoy the break and prepare for the quiz when we get back. Remember, the winning team gets a homework-free week!" you waved the excited teenagers out of class. It was the last period of the day and autumn break was officially started. Many wished you good rest and some a fun Halloween, but there were always the ones who bolted right after you said they could.
However, some stayed behind, too entertained gossiping to pay attention at the hour or — which was the apparent case — complaining about their mother coming to get them for "Family Halloween Traditions". Wednesday and Enid were still sitting at their shared desk, Enid trying to convince her roommate that "it" could be fun if she let herself enjoy the festive spirit and Wednesday complaining she would only have fun when Enid arrived.
You thought they were the cutest pair. So different and at the same time sparking out the most unexpectedly similar sides of each other; Wednesday encouraged Enid's feistier side through bickering and teasing and Enid made Wednesday smile begrudgingly with her cuteness.
"I think it'll be less horrendous than it's been before at least," Wednesday conceded, "Some different faces of people I actually don't loathe being around."
"Exactly, honey bun!" Enid chirped, getting up from their class and offering her arm for Wednesday to take, "I'll arrive early to rescue you from your mom and I'm sure Principal Weems will bicker with her enough to make you smile."
Wait, Larissa would visit the Addams? For Halloween? You could swear she barely tolerated Wednesday's mother from what you've heard of their history at Nevermore. Morticia seemed all right to you and according to other teachers and old acquaintances, quite fun to be around, but the poorly concealed disdain that overtook your boss' face every time the woman was mentioned fostered a small uneasiness and dislike to grow on you towards Wednesday's (un)beloved mother.
"Hello, girls!" you approached the pair with the pile of essays you had to grade and everything you needed to not return to class for the entire week in your hands, "Everything all right? Do you have any questions?"
"No, Professor! No worries," Enid hushes to say, and Wednesday got up as well, linking her arm to Enid's, "We were just about to go. Happy Halloween!"
You were about to wish them happy Halloween as well when Wednesday cut in, "Do you have plans for Halloween, professor?"
Curious of her to ask. You liked to think you had a good teacher-student relationship, but the girl rarely seemed to care for pleasantries or chit-chat for that matter.
"Actually, I'll just stay at the academy and rest a bit. I love teaching you guys but if dealing with ordinary teenagers is already taxing, teaching extraordinary ones is a whole other level." It was true, the amount of trouble your last students could get into was only exponentiated when added to the supernatural abilities students at Nevermore possessed. It was also much more entertaining. Yes, you had to keep them safe and punish troublemakers accordingly, but you loved the thrill to discover just what mischief they had got up to again. The best one so far was when a vampire kid turned into a mist to sneak out at night and changed into their solid state while floating atop the lake.
“Mother is hosting a Halloween party. I believe she’ll only pester Principal Weems to go but you are invited,” she said in her trademark monotone. Why you didn’t entirely know.
“I think that would be a matter for your mother to decide, dear. Although I am honoured you’d like my presence, I don’t think I can simply show unexpectedly.”
“The more sane, competent women there the direr it will be for mother, I only figured you could help me avenge the inconvenience of her smothering motherly love.”
Wednesday was quite the interesting girl. You thought it did make sense she’d want some friends around to endure the celebration, and while you understood and quite shared her respect and admiration for the principal, you were touched to find she regarded you similarly.
“If I cross paths with your mother, I’ll be sure to ask her, can we leave it at that?” at the youngling’s curt nod, you saw the pair leave the room and followed behind, closing the door when you left.
You took three or four steps before listening to the click of very well-known heels. Your shoulders sank and you quickly prayed to any god that might be listening for patience.
“Hello, there, beautiful lady!” Razvan, the vampire transformation teacher stalked at you to accompany your steps.
“Good evening, teacher,” your voice was calculatedly calm. You learned your lesson on being nice to overly adorable and excitable kittens as well as their human-like form.
“I was hoping to catch you alone to ask about that coffee date I suggested last week,” he was smiling like a child on Christmas morning, waiting to open their presents, “You said you were too busy planning the homework you’d give the students for the break but now we’re all free.”
It was cute how he seemed to like you, but he just wasn’t your type. When you saw the tiny black cat at the quad a few months back you thought it was only that, a cat, which you petted and played with and fed because its appreciative meows were cute. When it turned out to be the very not-cat, very impressionable vampire transformation teacher, you wanted to smash your head into the nearest flat surface, so what if it was a stone wall?
“You see… I haven’t got around to grading their essays yet, so I’ll be busy these first few days. Maybe later this week? I’ll see if I can make time and get back to you, ok?” it was really difficult to just say no. You weren’t the most proficient at negating people even in normal circumstances; the fact that he was so clearly infatuated with you made saying no seem like kicking a puppy.
“Oh… that’s fine… I guess. What about tomorrow? Right after lunch? You can check your agenda tonight and I’ll look for you for the verdict!” with that he puffed into a bat and flew down the corridor like a drunk butterfly. Was he making little loops? You had to end this and soon, it was too cruel to keep it up and even if it’d hurt him, it was best than leading him on.
Later that day, you and Vlad sat together eating dinner. He was telling you about an interesting countermove a second year made to get a point on their opponent and you were only half-listening and humming when you thought it appropriate.
Larissa was at the other end of the table, rather uncharacteristically talking to no one and wearing a tight face as if her food tasted like lemons and green limes squished together.
“Something on your mind?” Vlad inquired, following your gaze to the headmistress, “Oh, wow, someone’s not looking forward to rest and relaxation.”
“Hm?” you looked at him and noticed he was also studying Larissa’s sour complexion “Ah, yes. She does seems really angry, doesn’t she? If I hadn’t seen it before I would almost say she’s pissed.”
“That is because she is.” He explained, taking a sip of blood before continuing, “Morticia Addams visited earlier, and by what I hear she quite smugly questioned if Larissa would ‘finally’ bring a plus one to the Halloween Ball they host every year.”
Oh, so that was it. You’d seen Morticia’s verbal sparring with the principal before; you attributed it to their past roommate status and the complications that may arise with sharing a bedroom for three years. You had also seen the bickering and teasing on parents’ weekend, the elongated looks in yearly student reviews and all the times Wednesday’s parents had to be called in because their daughter got herself into trouble.
You knew the story of Larissa’s fancy for Gomez when they were young, but you didn’t think Morticia would still be gloating twenty years later that she got the cake.
“And is she?” you asked, looking back at her, something in your chest making you feel cold all of a sudden.
“What?”
“Is she bringing a plus one to the ball?”
Vlad examined you with those piercing dead eyes of his, knowing all too well why you asked, but respecting your wishes not to mention it.
“I don’t know. Haven’t heard anything yet. The closest person she had recently turned out to be a fanatic serial killer who tried to murder her.”
“Laurel, right? The one before me?” you were the second attempt at a normie teacher in Nevermore. You liked to think you were doing well, but few things could be worse than trying to destroy the school and everyone in it, so you couldn’t be always sure.
Vlad only nodded and went back to his drink while you lingered on Larissa’s face, then her hands, barely moving to pick at something on her plate.
The first day of break came as a welcomed cup of hot chocolate on a winter morning. It was chilly outside; some yellowed and orange leaves were stuck on your window with the early humidity. The corridor outside was so silent it felt almost eerie and gut-clenching. But you knew it could only mean one thing: freedom. Freedom from classes and teenager angst, freedom from having to get up and face the world. You could just get back to sleep if you so wished and boy that was quite something.
But you didn’t. In truth, the fact you knew most teachers would do exactly that, spurt you on to get out of bed and enjoy the entire campus at your disposal.
The kitchen was first. You made coffee with just this side of too much cream and stole waffles someone had made and left at the table. Then you went to the library and spent some hours in the lounge, readying cheesy romance and enjoying the sunlight coming through the big arched windows.
It was bliss, although short-lived. From the corner of your eye, you saw a small black cat silently but confidently making its way to you. The man shifted with a practised puff, almost like a magician popping into the stage from a cloud of smoke.
“Good morning, professor. I see you decided to venture around the school instead of having extra hours of beauty sleep. Not that you would need, of course,” he shifted excitedly beside you. You couldn’t mask the regretfulness on your face upon looking at him, and he realized it, mistaking your meaning and quickly adding, “Don’t worry! I’m not here to talk about our date. I said after lunch, and I’ll stand by my word. I just wanted to pop in and say good morning.”
“Oh... No problem Razvan, I’ll have my response by then, and good morning to you too. Have you been enjoying the time off so far?”
He seemed to brighten at your question, and although you were happy you could converse on something else than the blessed date, you were also fretful he would think too much of it.
In the end, he had something to do in Jericho and had to leave just a few minutes later, which you were grateful for. He was perfectly pleasant and even fun to be around but his lovesick eyes made your head pound in second-hand embarrassment.
At lunch, you and Vlad got together again at the gazebo in the woods. He slept through the morning, enjoying having the excuse to shift back onto his nightly routines, but not willing to fully shift or else he’d suffer to go back when classes started again.
“You will not believe what I’ve agreed to yesterday,” he told you in a voice that very much spelt migraine alert.
“Oh, Vladdy, break just started and you’ve already got yourself in trouble?” you teased, biting on your sandwich.
“I’ve got myself in trouble?” he asked, in an undignified tone “I’ll have you know that the person that got me ‘into trouble’ is your beloved Larissa Weems!” he pointed at your chest with an arched brow.
You looked around for anyone that might have heard him, no one was there.
“Hey, Vlad you know you can’t say that! What if someone tells her? I’d be out the door in no time, you know she’s especially strict with me!”
He just tsked and shook his head, “You are such an oblivious young girl, she couldn’t care less about you breaking rules. Besides, fancying your boss is not against any and Larissa’s just looking out for you because the parents pressure her into being careful after what happened.”
You knew Vlad had good intentions telling you this, but he wasn’t called every week, sometimes two times per week, to justify a comment or action some student or staff thought deserved attention.
Of course, she was always patient and never inquired too deeply into every situation but her cold demeanour told you everything you needed to know: she didn’t like you either, she just needed someone to show off when outreach between normies and outcasts was mentioned and you happened to be an overqualified and very capable chemist.
“But anyway, this is about me,” he continued, “and what I’ve agreed to is to pretend to be Larissa’s boyfriend at the Addams' Halloween Party.”
You were sure your jaw was on the floor. How had that happened? You knew Vlad and Larissa were friends for quite some time and very close for that matter, but pretending to date was just... another thing entirely.
“How are you going to do that?” you packed the rest of your sandwich, suddenly not hungry anymore, “Won’t they know you aren’t an item? I mean you know Morticia, and she knows you’re very good friends... To just start dating out of nowhere isn’t a bit suspicious?”
“She just really needs to give it to Morticia,” Vlad shrugs, a sorry half-smile in his mouth, “She asked me to her office yesterday night to drink. She was very upset by Morticia’s appearance and mean suggestion that Riss didn’t have a partner-“
“Of course she wouldn’t,” you interrupted, “She’s too busy being a badass successful woman at the head of a god-blessed academy!”
“Yes, yes, keep it in your pants,” he rolled his eyes fondly at you, “But she was breaking my dead heart and I suggested accompanying her. And first, she said it wouldn’t be the same, because we would go as friends and only confirm it to Morticia that Larissa was still alone. So I proposed we pretend to be a pair,” he seemed equal parts rather proud of himself and loathing his genius idea.
“I think it’s sweet of you. But I don’t think it’s going to work,” you said, not wanting to make him feel even worse, but enable to shake the feeling this was doomed to fail.
“Yes, I think you’re-“
“Professor!” a voice interrupted your friend’s comment and Razvan ran towards you, “I finally found you! I was looking for you to ask when we’re getting that coffee. I trust now you have my answer, correct?”
You were so full of this situation. Full of uncomfortable awkwardness, guilt and shame for playing with your colleague’s feelings, even if your intentions were benign. You had to tell him no, to say you didn’t like him that way. That he was too adorable and nice and you could never see him in that light.
“Oh, yes... about that, Raz...” you started, no idea of what you’d say next, “I’m sorry if I gave you the impression we could be more than colleagues and friends... but I’m-“
“In a relationship,” Vlad supplied.
“What?!” you and Razvan yelled in unison.
“C’mon, darling, it was bound to get out one time or another,” he kept going, the madman, “I know you’re worried about what people may think of her for it, but I swear Larissa is dying to go public.”
His maniac grin at your shell-shocked expression made you want to squeeze his neck until you heard it pop. It wouldn’t do much for him, but it would certainly be satisfying to you.
“Y-you and Principal Weems are together?!” the teacher was turning beet read and you had to give it to Vlad that it was a funny situation at least, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know! And of course, I understand why you wouldn’t want to tell me you were taken, that’s completely not my business... Oh my, I’m so sorry!” and with that he rapidly walked away, just shy of outright running.
“You little shit!” you exclaimed as soon as the other vampire was out of earshot, “What in the absolute heavens were you thinking?”
He was shaking with laughter while you punched his shoulder, which only made him go on a bit more before finally calming enough to talk, “You’re right,” he said, as if it explained everything, “I and Larissa aren’t a believable couple. But you and she are a pair one could easily sell.”
“What are you talking about?” you ran your hand through your face in exasperation. He was out of his mind, and now you were screwed if Razvan said anything to anyone.
“You’re here only a year. Morticia doesn’t know you and Larissa is comfortable enough around you to pretend to be with you. It might be even easier than with me because kissing someone after twenty years of friendship is admittedly awkward,” he reasons.
“Kissing some-? What are you even on about? I can’t pretend to be in love with her, you know I can’t! I’ll just make a fool of myself and let something slip.”
“Nonsense, girl. Let’s go, we need to tell Larissa about the change of plans,” he got up and held out his hand to you “And if she says no, we already told someone, so she’ll have to go with it.”
