Why I want top surgery:

so i can wake up and not immediately feel disgusted by myself

so i can go to sleep comfortable

so i cannot be constricted every day by binders and still feel like it isn’t enough

so i can wear clothes and feel like me in them

so i can shower and be able to look down

so i can not feel weighted down whenever i’m not binding (or even double binding on bad days)

so i can feel like me

so i can know what freedom is

so i can run and swim and bang on my chest like a goddamn gorilla because i’ll be free

so i can be happy without always having to feel like there’s two humongous weights hanging from my chest

so i can be happy

and, most importantly: so i can have sick ass scars and walk around without a shirt on

a list i made because my mom keeps trying to gaslight me into thinking i’ll be making a mistake when i turn 18 and immediately get surgery asap

How delusional do you have to be to think that the religion that has forcibly invaded and converted multiple countries throughout the centuries has preserved languages and cultures.

Old norse was only converted to the Latin alphabet because of Christianity, almost destroying the runic alphabet.

Christians forced indigenous children in North America and Canada to attend schools that stripped them of their culture and abuse them into Christianity. There are still Christian organisations who are dedicated to preaching to the native tribes on the North American continent.

How many mythological/folklore/fairytale figures have been diluted down to make it more christian friendly? How many have been demonised because they went against christian values?

How many historical artifacts or culturally significant items have been stolen or destroyed because of Christianity?

It genuinely breaks my heart to think of all the pain and suffering and death Christianity has caused to numerous countries, and the historical knowledge we might have lost in the process.

His actions range from stalking and harassment to severe violence. He is not afraid to use his cunning and deceptive nature to manipulate and control those around him. He has no empathy for others and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. His behavior can range from charming and seductive to downright sinister, depending on the situation. His obsession takes priority over everything else, including logic and reason.

He uses manipulation, fear, and control to keep you with him. He has a deep, pathological jealousy, and will often resort to aggressive and violent means to keep you from being with anyone else.

He lacks a conscience and cannot be reasoned with. Due to his obsessive nature, he will develop an unhealthy dependence on you, as you become the center of his life. He will not shy away from violence and other drastic measures to protect the "relationship".

He has a pathological need for power and control, and the object of his obsession becomes a means to that end. Your feelings and wishes are ignored in favor of his own obsession. He has violent outbursts and extreme mood swings when things don't go his way or you defy him. He is not above kidnapping, stalking, and other dubious methods of ensuring his hold over you.

He uses you as bait to attract others, with the ultimate goal being to provoke you into fighting. He puts you in a dangerous situation and watches with delight as you face danger, then rescues you at the last moment.

He may be somewhat kind and caring towards you, but only when you comply with his demands and wishes. If you defy him, he may turn cold and cruel, and resort to violent and coercive methods to regain control. You become nothing but a tool to be used for his own enjoyment and control.

He is not a forgiving and lenient person when the object of his obsession defies him, he is not afraid to use fear and other psychological tools to punish you. He uses threats, intimidation, isolation, cruelty, or other forms of physical and emotional abuse to reinforce his control over you.

Mick is more obsessive and possessive over time. This can manifest in varying ways, such as him constantly tracking and monitoring your whereabouts, controlling your behavior, and isolating you from your friends and family. Yes, at times Mick may show affection towards you as a means to increase your dependence on him. He may show affection in order to gain your trust and make you let your guard down. However, this is a manipulation tactic and should not be seen as genuine affection.

He becomes when he feels like he's losing control, and he won't let anyone else take what's his.

He doesn't know what it is about you that draws his intense attention, you often have no redeeming qualities and are not deserving of his intense affection. He possesses you like he's the only one who's allowed to enjoy you, and he'd cut down anyone who touches you.

He would feel an overwhelming need to ruin your innocence and keep you to himself completely. He'd make a scene and cause a fuss whenever someone talked to you before you get together, even if it was harmless conversation. He would be angry and possessive over the fact you were allowed to speak to and interact with another human being. Everything around him would become a focus on you, nothing else would matter.

ok so this is probably a dumb question but I’m going to ask it anyway

how long does it take for a guy to understand the meaning of consent?

ok I’ll provide context

so I’m at my nana’s house with my younger brother for the weekend

and we went to go get fish and chips for dinner

in the car, my brother started tickling me but I didn’t want to be tickled, so I told him no and to stop doing it.

he did it three more times after that

by the third time, we had already gone eaten and were going to the grocery store to pick up some things

my brother and my nana’s boyfriend were staying in the car, and my nana made the comment “they’re going to have a conversation.” To which I replied “are they though?” because my nana’s boyfriend doesn’t talk much

my brother started tickling me again and I got angry and said “how many times does someone have to tell you no for you to get the message?” And he looked at he, and said (angrily, btw) “you deserved it.” So I responded “no, you don’t get to just say someone deserved it if they’ve already told you multiple times to stop.”

we’ve been trying to teach this kid consent since he was like 2, when will it get through to him? And I didn’t let it on, but the comment that “I deserved it” actually really scared me because he didn’t even hesitate and I don’t think (really really hope that he’s not ) he’s that type of guy

I honestly don’t know what it’s going to take for him to realize. Is it going to sink in if someday he gets arrested for assault?
