I'm not sharing this on our other platforms yet cause we're still doing final tweaks to some of these designs, BUT here are the almost-done designs for the enamel pins we'll be crowdfunding on Kickstarter starting in a week!
You can follow the pre-launch page for this campaign here. The campaign is launching in March 15th.
The enamel pins will have antique gold metal, as shown in the pictures, and approximately these colors (tweaks, as I said, pending). top row is chimera (bi flag), dragon (nb flag), and nessie (mlm flag). Bottom row is phoenix (wlw flag), pegasus (trans flag), and cerberus (ace flag, demi and a few other flags also use those colors).
We've got more flags in earlier planning as stretch goals if we hit our initial funding goal of $3,000.
Each of these designs will also be available as a die-cut sticker, with the colors a bit more nuanced since, like, stickers don't have the same pigment restrictions that enamel pins do.
Pippin Peacock has done such an amazing job on these designs, I am so so so excited to be bringing these to life with them.

The fellowship of the Kinsey scale aka LoTR characters ranked from most to least fruity
Btw this is a joke (well sort of) so don’t take any of my stereotype arguments too seriously. Although I do genuinely think most of these characters are gay.
1. Frodo- Frodo is gayest the character. He’s constantly described as queer, his deepest connection is with Sam and their relationship is incredibly romance coded. Plus he reads poetry all the time, wears his sparkly elvish top and that fall in Return of the King movie? Homosexual. Not to mention he has THE gay haircut. Man looks like a starbucks barista. Galadriel is his gay icon.
Sam- although more masculine than Frodo and also bi Sam has the second most Gay EnergyTM. He’s a bit overemotional he spends the entire series simping over Frodo and is obsessed with flowers and poetry. When his wife dies he leaves his kids to spend eternity with his husband and the elves. Gay behavior
Legolas- Legolas is a petty drama queen and I love that for him. Loves his dwarf husband. Just look at his hair-no straight man cares that much about their hair. Gay gay gay.
Gimli-a bear but in the dwarf way. Galadriel is also his gay icon. Loves his elf husband. Loves some sparkly diamonds and jewels. Lord of the GLITTERING CAVES you say? Sounds kinda fruity
Gandalf-he’s basically a minor god and thus does not conform to human ideas of sexuality and gender. Literally all the LGBTQIAs. Gandalf Big Naturals , Gandalf the Gay are just a few of this bitch’s many names.
Pippin-Y’all on this app have convinced me Pippin is not cis gender. I don’t know in what form trans, non binary, gender fluid? Honestly could be any one.
Merry-pansexual and very open about it. Just seems like a chill queer dude who smokes a ton of weed and is open to a relationship with anybody
Boromir-excessively emphasizes his straightness but has homoerotic battle moments and after battle showers with his comrades in Gondor. Very repressed bisexual
Aragorn- I think its funny if he’s the token straight but THE BIGGEST ALLY YOU WILL FIND. Literal king passes a bunch of laws enshrining LGBTQ rights cause all his friends are gay

Eowyn-butch lesbian horse girl and ya know what? We absolutely love her for it. After the war she has a buzzcut.
Bilbo-ace icon. I’M SORRY if you ship Bagginshield but I headcanon him as ace/aro. Hates the idea of sex but wanted kids so he adopted his gay little nephew.

There is a thing that I noticed reading The Lord of the Rings and other works by Tolkien. And that thing is how diverse and beautiful love is, and how much it speaks to me.
True Love at first sight exists in Tolkien’s universe, and from it came some of the grandest deeds; think Beren and Lúthien braving Morgoth and then Mandos to be together, think Arwen renouncing immortality and Aragorn reclaiming his throne in order to marry her. But these grand tales of love at first sight are that; tales. It’s not for normal people.
There is also another aspect of romantic love that is present, one slower to take root and much more domestic. It is Sam missing Rosie when he is halfway trough the world and barely daring to ask her out even after facing Mordor. It is the blooming love between Éowyn and Faramir, a relationship based on shared grief, mutual understanding, respect and comfort sought in each other.
Sometimes it ends badly, like Nerdanel leaving Fëanor despite centuries of marriage and having had seven sons together because they don’t get along anymore. It’s Erendis and Aldarion falling apart because they are too different to work as a couple. It’s Elrond mourning for his wife who had to sail West in order to heal her broken soul and body. But it’s much more realistic than the grand tales, this is something relatable for a human heart and mind.
And what I like above everything else is how these romantic relationships, no matter how epic the love is, are never sexualised. How they are not even the more important kind of relationships and love in Tolkien’s universe. For someone Ace and arospec as well, seeing familial relationships and platonic love having such a major role in the story makes my heart soar in joy because I can relate.
I can relate to Sam, brave little Sam who walked to Mordor and back out of love and loyalty for Frodo despite missing his home a little more each day. And my heart warms each time I read about Merry, Pippin and Sam plotting to follow Frodo and hammering in his head that they are in this together until the end, and only the direst circumstances managed to separate them.
I laughed at the bantering and teasing between Gimli and Legolas, who managed to bridge the gap of centuries of dislike between their folks, and I admire their relationship no matter if one interpret it as platonic or romantic.
I can relate to the brotherly love between Boromir and Faramir because I too would do anything to spare pain to my sister. I love the friendship between Maedhros and Fingon for I am so close to my cousins too, and I would do about anything for my family no matter the circumstances just like the line of Finwë followed Fëanor in the first place (the outcome was… not good but that’s not the point).
I can relate, to some extent, to Elrond’s grief at Arwen’s Choice, because sometimes, loving someone means accepting to let them go no matter how we feel.
I cried at the end of the Hobbit, when Fíli and Kíli died defending their uncle, because this unwavering loyalty and love for family is something I can understand better than giving up everything for a romantic partner.
I cried reading the Tale of Beren and Lúthien, but I cried more when Sam sails West after Rosie dies and is reunited with Frodo, when Merry and Pippin are buried with the old kings of Gondor once Aragorn dies too, or when Legolas builds a boat and sails to the Undying Lands with Gimli because he can’t bear to be parted from his dearest friend. I cried when Bilbo returns to the Shire alone after the quest for Erebor, having lost dear friends, and wishing to see the Lonely Mountain again decades later. I cried when Maglor, last of his brothers, wanders endlessly on the shores in eternal sorrow.
But I also smiled a lot; be it when Faramir kisses Éowyn, or when the Three Hunters are welcomed to the ruins of Isengard by Merry and Pippin whole and safe and they share a moment of carefree joy in the midst of darkness. I laughed at the foolishness of a Took and his Brandybuck cousin, I smiled fondly when Sam mutters to himself when he worries for Frodo. I grinned when Gandalf returns after his fight against the Balrog and takes time to catch up with his friends despite the war raging around them. I laughed when Gimli and Legolas plan a vacation and sightseeing after a gruesome battle, and then when they comment on how to redecorate Minas Tirith. These are small moments that make the friendship between the characters authentic and relatable, and I am certainly forgetting so much more passages that made me smile or cry along the characters.
There is also the love one has for a place, this powerful motivation that makes Frodo leave the Shire in the first place to protect it against the Ring. Faramir’s love for his country that makes war bearable for him, because despite how much he hates violence and weapons he won’t let his beloved home be destroyed without fighting with his life. The love Sam has for his garden and the green hills of the Shire that gives him hope until the very end when all seems lost. This is also a kind of love I understand.
Love in Tolkien’s universe is what makes the events go as they go, and more precisely platonic and familial love. And I rejoice in seeing how friendship old and new, how bonds forged in shared danger or in peaceful days, saved the world at the end of the day. I won’t say I don’t like love stories, because that’s not true, but I love to see platonic relationships so strong being so important in The Lord of the Rings and other Tolkien’s works. Romantic relationships are not a superior form of relationship. True, unwavering love is not always romantic, and I love how Tolkien managed to capture this in his writing.

I am god and now am giving out sexualities to lotr charachters because no one can stop me. And I have insomnia and sleep deprived.
Frodo: A gay trans man and on the ace spectrum
Samwise: Bisexual and there's a reason I nickname him transwise gamgee. (samfro is t4t)
Pippin: Just a feral nonbinary guy (They/he) and is pansexual. he falls in love easily. Probalbly had a crush on everyone they met throughout the journey. (he even had a crush on tom bombadil because he liked his little gay songs)
Merry: Token straight out of the hobbits and is in love with eowyn, which is now his sexuality.... (I mean i dont blame him)
Boromir: Definitely not straight. I mean have you seen him? gay, absolutely gay
Aragorn: Straight but has questioned his gender many times.
Gandalf: The most aro/ace icon out there. Uses all pronouns. Will trans your gender and turn homophobes, transphobes and general bigots into toads. Move out of her way or you will be crushed by her heels.
Legolas: pretty fluid when it comes to gender, mostly uses he/they pronouns however he really doesn't mind anything else. He identifies as queer.
Gimli: he's a bear bisexual and will kill anyone who purposely misgenders another. He is dating his partner Legolas and has a lot of fun with them when they hunt down bigots.
Eowyn: She is bisexual and also loved merry (except they are both too scared to make the first move)
Faramir: Gandalf helped him transition when he was a child. All he wants is to be accepted by his father. Boromir loves that he has a brother. He is also unlabled.
Denethor: Repressed bisexual.
Arwen: I cant tell if shes straight or bi, but I’m leaning towards the latter
Elrond: The best dad in the world, but otherwise he is also straight.
Bilbo: The gay traumatized fun uncle. Obviously had a dwarf husband, but sadly is widowed. Now he sings his gay little songs and everyone adores him. mood tbh
Eomer: Straight but is extremely supportive of Gimli and Legolas that he cries whenever they do something sweet to one another. It gets worse when he's drunk.
Theodred: Hes not even really in the book but I need to spread my Boromir/Theodred rare pair ship. Hes bisexual obviously.
Galadriel: Intersex, nonbinary (they/she) and has a hot trophy husband.
Celeborn: the trophy husband, a trans man and is queer.
Saruman: He is the definition of the queer-coded villain. I mean his name is saurman of all colours and he literally transforms into a gay pride flag.
Tom Bombadil & Goldberry: They deserve to be grouped as one because they are the best representation of a queer platonic couple out there. Goals.
Rosie Cotton: Bi but doe sent really know it, but if she ever met Goldberry, she might then have her awakening.
last and not least we have Sauron himself, and anyone whose read the Silmarillion know exactly what his sexuality is. so go read it.

Honestly I am not like super headcanon forward as a watcher because I think I have expectations trust issues from other television and therefore stick to what I can see on screen before speculating, BUT!
Headcanons + some things I would love to see explored (that aren’t just aggressive amounts of pining byler)?
The whole “Will is suppressed in his queerness being attached to soteria/suppression of powers” is like. 11/10 concept imo. It goes along with horror history so well (shout out @pinkeoni for that analysis) and plays so well into the whole relating to “Alan Turing” bit that we were introduced to start of S4, given his history as a gay man.
re, the last point: the contrast in queerness between Mike and Will being explored as someone who shows more blatant attraction to men but struggles to accept it as an identity versus someone who accepts their identity while suppressing their attraction (by outside forces or not) is also a dynamic I think would be cool to explore. I am not an ace Will truther at all but. I do think he shies away from his own sexuality a lot in a way they don’t do with Mike.
I really want “samfro caught on mount doom together while the rest of the fellowship fights an army” byler vibes—something about El and Lucas as Aragorn & Legolas with Dustin (Gimli) and Erica (Merry/Pippin) while Will struggles with feeling alone carrying the heavy burden of a connection to Vecna? Some “I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you” heroism from Mike? El getting a moment to reunite with Max (Arwen) at the hand of Lucas, just like in Return of the King? Fucking mint lmao
I need scenes of Max in whatever place she’s still alive in like I need oxygen. Working from “the inside” to do exposition on Henry + the UD while she’s in a coma while the party sorts through it in Hawkins feels like such a phenomenal writing opportunity I’ll be desperately sad if they don’t explore it. I hope they include some elements of like. The duality of presence a la The Talisman in that given Lucas was reading it to her in the hospital? But 🤷🏽♀️
GIVE ME TIME FKERY OR GIVE ME DEATH. I know it’s pretty much guaranteed at this point but. I need Mr. Clarke back stat, with some convoluted ass theory explained on a paper plate again. I need the most elaborate UD reality just, absolutely borderline nonsensical lore for like a full episode so I can watch this series back again and see it from SECOND ONE (or minute 8:15) and giggle like a schoolgirl knowing the duffers really are smart/the haters were wrong.
I want more Wheelers! I know Nancy is central to the supernatural given she was the only other one pulled in by Vecna and not killed—just sent as a messenger—but. I have so many Wheeler and Creel thoughts at this point I don’t know where to start, but. They are the PERFECT family for exploring picture-perfection against horror themes (just like the Creels) and I want it. Like “don’t care how, I want it now” level focus on them, along with their Byers.
I said it before but: an exploration of motherhood as a theme makes so much sense to me, and it seems to be important to The Duffers too, so. I want it.
Kinda want RoVickie as the couple who introduces the idea of the supernatural + queerness v Hawkins element at the start of the season, and for byler to be the ones who “end it.” I think that would be a fascinating way to parallel them more, though…I haven’t much thought this through.
If they don’t make Finn Wolfhard sob his little eyes out this season I’m going to feel betrayed. I need him like. Noah level pressed at least once next season, for the culture (Finn said he wanted to do more dramas. Let him defeat the bad actor allegations here so they let him LMAOOOO)

Aesop Sharp x Reader (Platonic, but the boundaries are starting to blur)
Eh, game spoilers for like one quest. If you know Penny the Elf, you are all clear. Part 4/?
Stitches and Draughts was closed for the evening. It was the most unfortunate night of the month in which the resident poltergeist would be allowed his fun as part of your arrangement for buying the shop he haunted. As you gathered your things to return to the castle, you were disrupted by a knock at the door. There was no chance you would allow a client into the shop minutes before the ghost made good on his part of the arrangement.
“We’re closed. You may visit tomorrow morning. Penny will open the doors at sunrise. Do have a lovely night,” you heard the elf call to the other side of the locked door.
Professor Sharp grumbled and turned away at the elf’s dismissal. You rushed out the back door, where you conducted your research to greet him. “Please, do come in. Briefly. What brought you by?”
“Your shop light was on. I was at Pippin’s looking into a new batch of Murtlap tentacles. I wanted to ask you about your research in private. To be frank, I am not comfortable discussing the possibility of a partnership in my classroom. Surely, you understand the boundaries between mentor and student aren’t to be crossed into partnership at this time. As your days as my student will soon end, I thought it might be an appropriate time to review your work. I was quick to dismiss the suggestion in the moment, but I see your talent and would like to hear more about what you are proposing,” he offered.
Reaching into the pocket of his waistcoat, you helped yourself to a glance at his pocket watch. Within the hour, the poltergeist would wreak havoc on your shop, basement, and laboratory. It was sure to be a sight you wished to miss. “Step inside. Just for a minute. I’ll collect my research.”
Following your lead, Professor Sharp stepped in through the back of your shop. The back room was smaller than the storefront but comfortable for conducting the business as well as your research. You had used the space as you had used the room of requirement. Potions bubbled in one corner, and plants grew in another. Most embarrassingly, as you motioned to it to offer him a place to sit, the sofa was strewn with blankets - unmade and clearly slept on with increased frequency. He took the tome of your collected research from your outstretched hand and began to read through it intently. “This is a rather sound hypothesis,” was all he had to offer.
“Thank you. I’ve put nearly a year into independent study since I aced your NEWT. I believe potions to be the key to containing ancient magic outside of the goblin silver. Your confidence means a great deal to me. I’d like to offer you a cup of tea and allow you to spend as much time as you like reviewing my work. Regrettably, the shop cannot be occupied tonight,” you explained, hoping he wouldn’t ask about the reason for your sudden departure.
Stretching his legs from his seat on your unmade sofa, he closed the tome and tucked it under his arm. “Understood. I need to return to school, regardless. As do you. Until commencement next week, I believe you have a curfew. There will be no sleeping in your office for you on my watch. I’ll walk you to the floo flame.”
“I respect your respect for curfew, rules, and boundaries. I do,” you promised. “Next time you find yourself at my door after closing, there will be no curfew. As it is, I still have an hour to return to my room. I appreciate your offer to escort me to the floo, but it’s a lovely night. I’d like to walk.”
Standing, he rubbed the side of his hip and nodded. “Next time I find myself at your door after your shop closes, I will have read your research and will be prepared to discuss it fully with you. You may start my education on the matter on the walk back to the castle.”
“You don’t trust me to make it back unsupervised? Truly, if I were going to sleep here tonight, I would allow you to stay and study. You can stay as long as you like, all but one day a month. Today is that day. I will return to the castle before curfew. That is a promise,” you offered.
Letting out an exasperated sigh, he leaned closer to you and offered his arm, along with a rare smile. “It is not by doubt or duty that I wish to accompany you. Using the floo network would be best for my leg, of course, but walking with you and listening to your ideas will be good for my mind and, despite the rumors of its nonexistence, my soul. Shall we?”

SYNOPSIS
Allow me to elucidate. You were found to be hiding aves from us. That’s a punishable offense, here. Doubled, considering where I found you. Holed up in the other world, thinking you were safe. What a fool you were.
All of the angels are dead. At least, that's what the crown would like you to believe. But Erica Bolvade, heir to the throne of Katalxi and daughter of the ruthless Killian Bolvade, knows firsthand this is a lie. Sent to the other world--the one with no magic and warmth and humans--to hunt down angels and drag them back to face their deaths, Erica can finally begin the first step of her own plan. Most people would need time to grapple with the decision, but after the deaths of her mother and her lover at her father's hand, Erica's revenge can't come soon enough.
Apollo Mack, exhausted artist and circumstantial guardian to his teenage cousin, Kaylie, has a high tolerance for the fantastical. He paints people who cannot exist and worlds that never will. He makes enough for the two of them to survive in relative comfort and wonders if he made a deal with the devil somewhere along the way. And he hears about all of the teen angst occurring with Kaylie and her friends--especially when it pertains to Gwendolyn Vale and the fate that comes with wings. He really would have preferred boy drama.
As Erica's path crosses with Apollo's, they become entangled in a world of war and politics, wings and magic. Rebellion is brewing, and Erica intends to help them in whatever way she can, turning the people around her into pieces of her chess game. And somehow, she's certain, Apollo's humanity and artistry will be the key they've been missing all along.

Song: In The Wee Small Hours always makes me feel calm. You Can't Always Get What You Want is always good fun to hear. Also makes me less anxious. I was sure I'd fail my driver's license test so I thought screw it, why worry? and aced it listening to this :p
