💐 studyblr intro 💐
Hello! I’ve been on tumblr since 2015, but this is a new sideblog. I’ve been having trouble staying motivated recently and I hope that making this studyblr will help me out!
About Me:
🐚 Milo
🪷 they/them
🐚 INFJ
🪷 Virgo
🐚 Beginning college this fall
Hobbies and Interests:
🌱 I love art! I enjoy learning about it and hope to visit an art museum someday. I also love to make art. I’ve been working on traditional portraits a lot lately but I want to try some more unique mediums, too!
🪺 I haven’t had the time to read much lately, but when I do I love nonfiction nature-themed books. I also like reading poetry!
🌱 I enjoy journaling. My goal for my current journal is to focus on gratitude for my day-to-day life because I have a tendency to get stuck in my head.
🪺 When the weather’s nice, I love going for a walk or running! Sometimes I’m on my own with my earbuds in, and sometimes I’m accompanied by a friend or family member.
Little Joys:
🌼 Annotating paperback books
🌸 The two-note call of chickadees
🌼 Early spring, when the snow is melting but it’s not all gone yet
🌸 Drinking soda on the front porch on a hot day
🌼 Marshland flowers (and woodland flowers!)
🌸 Predicting how long winter will be by looking at woolly-bear caterpillars
🌼 Sharing earbuds with friends
🌸 Dancing alone in my room at night

a guide to starting a studyblr —
by @peachblossomstudy
i’ve been in the studyblr community for many years now (just over four i think!), so i thought i’d make a post with all my advice for anyone lurking in the community thinking of getting more involved. of course i’m not the definitive authority on any of this, please take everything here as suggestions rather than rules!
what is a studyblr?
the term ‘studyblr’ has two meanings: (1) the tumblr community focused on studying, learning and productivity; (2) a blog about your experience as a student/with learning etc. having a studyblr is a fun way to share a love of learning with other, keep yourself accountable in school and find inspiration for notes or planner spreads.
the basics
so you’ve decided to take the plunge. where to start?
url - it’s a good idea to make your url study-themed in some way, whether it includes a variation of the word ‘study’ or references your favourite subject or something else to do with studying or productivity
theme - there are pretty much no rules about themes in the studyblr community! blogs of all themes and aesthetics can be studyblrs, though it may be easier to indicate what your blog is about with a study-related icon. alternatively, it’s quite popular to have picrews for icons to show a bit of personality.
i have made many different icon and header packs, which will be linked on my desktop theme soon!
the picrew i made my icon with is here
introduction post - start your blog with a little introduction about who you are (name or nickname, age if you feel comfortable, pronouns), what you study, any other fun information and maybe even tag some of your studyblr inspirations
content - people post lots of different types of content, including and not limited to:
pictures of their notes, planner or workspace - these are generally the most popular
advice posts made up of graphics
masterlists/masterposts based on different themes (e.g. language learning masterposts)
text-based advice posts (like this one!)
reblogs! the best way to show your love to everyone else in the community
growing your blog
now you’ve posted some content, and it’s time to explore the community a bit more. it goes without saying that growing on tumblr is more of an organic thing, and if you’re coming to studyblr purely for notes then you may want to rethink your reasons for joining the community. nevertheless, validation feels great, and so does making new friends!
try to post regularly - an active blog will always help new people find you, and regular posts will help keep followers engaged
post original content - posting something unique to you will give people a reason to follow you specifically, rather than the same reblogged posts being circulated
that being said, reblogging from others (bonus points for leaving nice messages in the tags!) is a great way to introduce them to your blog. if someone sees your url in their notes often, they’ll be more likely to have a look at your blog
don’t be afraid to interact - send someone a message, send them an ask, reply to their posts, add compliments in their tags! generally everyone in the studyblr community is super friendly and open to messaging, asks and making friends, so get stuck right in
my ask box is always open to new friends! <3
use tags - most studyblr have a tag that they track, and will usually go through and like/reblog any posts that use this tag. find out what tags your favourite blogs track and use them on your posts to help them get seen
i track (very sporadically at the moment) the tag #heypeachblossom
other
now you’ve established yourself, there are lots of other things to do on studyblr! here are some ideas:
get involved in challenges - there are many different challenges to participate in. popular ones include the 100 days of productivity challenge, and the lovely @/myhoneststudyblr has many previous studying challenges you could complete. if you’re into reading, sabrina @/bulletnotestudies and the studyblr w/ knives discord server have lots of great themed reading challenges
participate in events - over the year some blogs will run events such as secret santas or secret admirers, which are really cute and fun to do. this february i ran the @studyblrsecretvalentines, and i’m hoping to do it again in 2023.
play ask games and tag games with your friends - this is a great way to get to know more people and have some fun!
resources
finally, here are a few useful tips/resources for the more practical side of running a studyblr
your queue is your best friend - you can run up a huge queue of reblogs to keep your blog active during busy study times
i personally use the mobile app snapseed to edit my photos for original content, and find it works really well
canva.com is a great online, free editing program - i use it to make all the graphics for my post header and advice posts
my header and icon packs (that i’ve tagged correctly) are here! i have made other packs, though they’ll have to be found through my archive, sorry
momentum is a popular desktop extension in the studyblr community
lots of people also use forest (or flora, which is free) for cute focus timers
this has turned into a bit of a monster post, but i hope if you’ve read this far that you found it useful! feel free to tag me in your introduction posts, and see you around studyblr <3

Tips for starting a studyblr, then ? Thanks!
I'm glad you asked! Here is a revival of my long ass post heheh
If you haven't already, my first tips is to make an account for your studyblr separate from any other blogs you run.
In terms of posting, I would always recommend posting anything with pictures. They don't have to be great quality or well-edited, start with anything your comfortable with; I find that posts with pics catch people attention better than simple textposts. I you feel like you want to get into editing, start playing around with some editing apps or drawing tools. Another great way to start posting is by taking on a studyblr challenge like the 100 days of productivity or the 30 days of productivity. A short introduction post is also a good idea so that other studyblrs can get an idea of your area of study, age, interests, etc.
When it comes to getting some traffic on your posts, tracking/tracked tags are a great tool to use. In case you haven't heard of them, these are certain tags that are regularly checked by their creators who will boost the posts that have used the tag. My tracking tag is #heydilli and I'll list a couple of others’ tags at the end of this post.
On a similar note, it's really helpful to follow and keep up with other studyblrs. This will help you get ideas for posts and also keep you in the loop about useful resources, new challenges, etc. Some of my fav studyblrs are listed below, along with their tracking tags if they use any:
@myhoneststudyblr (tracking #myhoneststudyblr) @ckmstudies @elysianania @elinordinary @museeofmoon (tracking #heyzainab) @notes-by-saher (tracking #heysaher) @frenchiepal @gushuwa @tranquilstudy (tracking #hiyatranquil) @acaemis @peachblossomstudy (tracking #heypeachblossom on hiatus atm) @rylie-studies (tracking #lookrylie) @rabbitstudy (tracking #heysantiago)
(sorry for the tag y'all but love you!)
So that's about all I can think about for the moment, so hope that helps. Good luck, hope that helped!
xx dilli ❤️

Nature x Melancholy
Summer Edition II: 黄昏 (Dusk)
No matter how beautiful the dusk, night must fall at last
Summer edition is based on the song Dusk by Steve Chou. Often used to symbolise an imminent end, dusk in this song is beautifully linked to the end of a relationship. In this series, I've tried to juxtapose the fiery summer dusk with the impending night, and in the process, created an aesthetic that looks a lot like burning hell (>.<") though it's not entirely inappropriate for the end of a blazing summer relationship, I guess.

2/30 New Years Momentum Challenge
"Share a photo of your study area!"
So one of the reasons it took so long for me to post this one (aside from like. Depression.) Is that I don't have a set study space!
Studying in my room kind of just exacerbates my mental health issues.
So instead I'm posting a picture of the most aesthetically interesting of the three libraries I like setting up camp in!
It's delightfully spooky and maze-like in a way that I think all libraries should be.
I got so lost looking for the toilet last night.
It has some really cool historical/artistic/information exhibits. (Creepiest guy ever under the cut.)
Tumblr media
I love him.

An Introduction
So I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and start a studyblr. After poking around a bit and lurking here and there, looking for inspiration, I've finally built up the courage to actually go through with this.
To be honest, it's a little daunting, seeing how nearly everyone on here holds themselves to a certain standard which I haven't been able to do so far, but I hope I get the hang of it soon enough.
______________________________________________________________
About Me: - You can either refer to me by my blog name or my first initial, "H" - I have three cats and a dog :D - I adore the rain - My faourite subject switches between Biology and English
______________________________________________________________
Academics: I'm currently enrolled in the IB curriculum, having started my first year in July of this year. This means that I'm currently in DP1, also known as 11th grade.
The subjects I take are:
Biology, Chemistry, and Physics HL (high level)
Maths AA, English, and Hindi B SL (standard level)
______________________________________________________________
Interests: Besides academics, I enjoy a ton of other things. I happen to be in a number of fandoms (One Direction, Taylor Swift, BBC Sherlock, BBC Merlin, Good Omens, and Heartstopper). Alongside this, however, I love learning/reading about space and black holes, dinosaurs, and the occassional history topic.
Hobbies: I enjoy writing and reading, alongside listening to music (who doesn't like music, c'mon).
______________________________________________________________
Studyblrs I've Lurked™ On Before:
@myhoneststudyblr @diaryofastemstudent @emmastudies @peachblossomstudy @ibchemist
(I swear there are more, I should've kept track of the urls)
