♥️ HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ♥️

i hope everyone is having a wonderful day and remember that this day isnt just for couples, make sure to love and care for yourself SMOOCHES ALL YALLS HEADS.

LMAO that being said lets go thru and discuss what the batfamily is doing on this sweet little day ^_^

Bruce and Selina spent an incredibly romantic evening together!! Bruce took her out to see a show with a really really yummy dinner after. Then bought her a shiny new piece of jewelry which she will forever cherish. When they finished allll that, he brought her back to the manor for a relaxing bubble bath together… then.. maybe kinda did some nsfw stuff. FUCK!! OLD PEOPLE DOIN THE NASTY!!!

Dick and Kori were a little more tame. They decided to spend their day out at the aquarium!! Kori said she’d never been and showed extreme interest in going. Dick prepaid so that they could spend the entire day there. Kori fucking adored it. ADORED it. every single fish was just beyond beautiful to her, the amount of times she went “that ones my favorite” just made Dick laugh every time, always agreeing that that one was his favorite too. They stayed till closing. Dick brought Kori to a look out point after picking up a pizza so they could watch the city and eat. It was beyond perfect, something Kori will remember forever.

Jason and Roy wanted to stay in so badly but the more Roy sat and thought about it… the more he wanted to do something so Jay planned this little picnic. They decided on this little hiking spot since they both loved to.. hike. they spent most of their morning making their way up to the spot Jason claimed would be perfect to eat at. When they got there they set up their lunch. They had little sandwiches, some fruit and a whole ass bottle of wine!!! sooooo chessy but so so yummy. They giggled and goofed off as they ate, watching the world below them. no one else mattered in this moment besides them. it was cliché but FUCK did Roy treasure this.

Tim and Bernard did something sooo teenagery. They began their day by meeting up for ice cream. mhm. Tim got cookies n cream while Bernard got like something kinda gross like mango… Then, they made their way down to the arcade where Bernie SCHOOOOLLLED Tim in like haaalf the games. which??? to Tim that was fine because he got a buncha little toys outta it so.. After Bernards gloating fest, they went to go get some chicken waaaangs. MM!!! they feasted, finding a bottomless wing place. they ate till their tummies felt like they were gonna bust. THEN, Tim brought Bernard home. They watched ghostbusters and had a cute little sleepover. GODDD THATS ADORABLE. BYE.

Damian and Nika were so shy and awks in the beginning of their date. Damian had asked Nika if maybe she’d be interested in seeing a movie. Nika called him lame but agreed nonetheless. The two went and saw something silly since Damian knew Nika wouldn’t enjoy something more serious. He bought her ticket, snacks anything else she wanted. He just spoiled her.. just like his papa ngl. she loooved it and Damian lowkey did too. They probably grabbed a small bite to eat, not really being toooooo hungry since they filled up on theater snacks, but they ate something anyway!! they walked arooound, looked into some shops theyve never been in and by the time they decided they were done, the sun set. Damian brought her up to a rooftop to they could look at stars and talk. Damian def gushed about this night to Dick and Jon. He loved it.

HEYYY HEYY LOOKIT ME COMIN IN WITH THE NEW SHIPS HUH??? nika and damian are becoming such a favorite rn!! im so excited to continue to learn about them!! and i fought with myself to either do tim n kon or tim and bernie… to keep things canon, i went with timber.. but i may do some hc for timkon in the future. ANYWAY!!! I LOVE U ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE A FUN V-DAY! SMOOCH SMOOCH

last movie: Harry Potter? idk what one, I like to put the tv on while I do stuff like budget money and write fanfic and draw, so honestly idk, it was probably the chamber of secrets, that and poa are my all time favs

currently reading: ur mom LMAO (im so sorry) no, what im reading is smut, and also like, a good omens fic about Crowley’s fall (witness the fall) bc im trying to forget about season 2′s ending. im also reading away childish things (again) bc like, that's one of my fav drarry fics of all time. if we’re talking about marauders fics, it was probably her body is a temple down in the frozen food aisle by achilleslikespeas, both for my emotional masochistic enjoyment and bc I wanted to draw a scene in the story (go read it now pls, its really good, Claude is really good a writing and im freaking out bc I wanna draw a scene from every single one of their fics I- like go-to horror dead dove fics for me I reccomend Claude and for smut I go to moonie), if we’re talking books books, Ive been reading yellowface and I am a cat which so far, are really really good, but also like, im really bad at reading so like, I haven't actually touched them in a week LMAO

currently watching: good omens, its playing on my tv in the background both because I love it and also because Neil said if u stream it enough amazon will see how valuable it is (with the strike and everything) and like, actually be willing to negotiate, essentially, help out the strike, go watch gay celestial beings

last thing i wrote: 'Til Death Do Us Part, and Even Then, I'll Do My Best to Stay With You, its a dead dove fic centering around grief and denial, uh, 2 chapters in lol

currently writing: I have like, a million wips and no motivation to write rn so lets dive into them lol

1) chapter 3 of do death do us part, very sad, like, maybe 3 sentences in?

2) the next part of my lesbian wolf star series, its the one right before the trail one, so like, part 10 is gonna be another chapter centering more around Sirius’s memories and part 11 is gonna be the trial, I have like, 2 separate things ive written for it and I need to decide where I want it to go tbh

3) smut, gay wolf star, frat hazing blow or blow smut. sirius is on his knees and almost throws up but he doesn't and its lowkey like actually non con but its also frat hazing, like, idk how to explain the vibes but sirius is referred to as a dog and a filthy animal and degraded and he's sucking remus’s dick on coke and im like 2k words in and like, running out of ways to describe a cock lol (its also hard to bc like, I don't have a dick and my textbooks are no help sometimes) but he is also called the “pike puppy” and like, I think im smart for that and also its really filthy ngl, not a happy ending?

4) a short fluff fic to make up for the angst I put my readers through, im like 200 words in

5) au kinda thing, inspired by don't worry darling and like a TikTok that I saw (and now people are commenting on me commenting if I can write the idea and asking for the fic name and like, Im 500 words in? pls I need time), the idea is that Dumbledore has everyone under imperio or a potion to get them on his side to fight for him, lily’s pov, I really like it so far, uhh im like 500 words in I think?

so yeah, when I get inspiration im gonna write everything all at once lol, probably when my body isn't trying to kill me lmao or im at work

I'm 167cm so about 5ft6? Asian with glasses (like typical Asians sjsksjksksjsksk) A dog person but really can't resist any fluffy animals (cats, bunnies, etc) but I'm okay with reptiles too. Snakes always seems to have a huge interest in my house.?(can always see them at the stairs or sneaking into our porch every two years or so) I'm more of the museum type when I'm traveling and not keen on hiking. And I love water, swimming, kayaking, and always hope to live near the water in my future. I prefer novels more than non-novel books, and I try cooking in my spare time. Not a great cook but I'm pretty good at making Chinese food since I'm studying abroad in the UK. (Though I'm okay with steaks and spaghetti and "western food" too (sry for being stereotyping in advance)

he can be romantic (sometimes), like he'll kiss you under a waterfall, take you out on a row boat for a lake picnic, and take you to museums while holding your hand through every exhibit. but he'd also chuck you into the water just so he can jump in an pretend to save you, or tug on your ponytail just to annoy you lmaoo.

ari is happy to taste test your experimental recipes, he thinks it's adorable how determined you are to cook more! he can cook some stuff and he tries to help out in the kitchen, but he only has two or three things he's actually confident in, so usually he'll just stick with washing the dishes (house husband fr).

also he doesn't mind the silence either, he just enjoys holding you or hanging out in the same room. your dates are pretty lowkey bc he's not a very fancy guy. you both know that you don't need to do anything extravagant to impress each other, you just like being with one another.

So about the bonus Azriel chapter...

(ACOSF Spoiler Warning!)

This is my unfiltered take alright. That means this is anything but assembled thoughts.

Okay so Azriel is feeling depressy because he wants a lover/mate too. So he acted out of impulse and just took what he could get for the moment, I assume. Elain was just there and the feelings and frenzy was reciprocated so he went for that kiss.

Tbh, I don’t know what could’ve gone wrong except Lucien having a fit. (Because there was a previous scene where Elain was hanging out with Az and Lucien sensed that and was about to get lowkey feral and Rhys just went “chill man az wont do shit”.)

Okay and that’s exactly why our man Rhys sweeps in once again and handles the could-be mess. Azriel gets a lil scolding, and then expresses why he was doing it. KINDA FELT BAD NGL.

Ok fastworward to GWYNRIEL I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THEM I LOVE THEM SFM I COULD CRY.

Okay so...

Mates are rare but at this point, not so much.

Azriel’s shadows clearly like Gwyn. They calmed down and stuff around her, and didn’t even warn Az that she was in the training pit when he was flying there.

And unlike Elain’s case, Azriel isn’t just going for it because he can. He respects Gwyn, given the trauma of her past (also psst she’s a priestess) enough to quite obviously not go for that. Not to say he doesn’t respect Elain; that only went that far because Elain was just as into it as he was.

Okay, so. Here’s a mate theory.

My friend and I was having this conversation today and well, what she was saying is that, yk how you can scent the mating bond? Maybe Az is confused, like subconsciously. Because Elain is a seer, oracle type of stuff right, and Gwyn is a priestess. And both of them are portrayed to be...pure in that sense, you know what I mean? So my friend was saying that maaaybe Elain turns out to become something of the sort, and therefore the confusion in the scent.

So bottom line, both of them scents similar.

Okay, then, the necklace.

That fucking necklace.

My unfiltered thought is that was THE ultimate dick move. That’s something he’d meant to give Elain, and now he’s opting to give it to Gwyn as a second thought...

Neither of them deserve that, come on.

Imagine how BOTH of them will feel when Elain sees it on her, and when Gwyn ends up learning it wasn’t meant for her in the first place. Poor girl prolly thought Az got this especially for her.

Okay anyway, now to add on to my friend’s Az and Gwyn being mates theory...

Azriel’s shadows responded to Gwyn. Calmly. They calmed around her. Didn’t hide or flare or whatever they usually do. We also didn’t get an insight on what the shadows might have been whispering to Az when he was conversing with Gwyn, sooo 👀

Okay and then lastly, when he finally leaves, he obviously hears Gwyn sing, and his shadows sang back to her.

Please I stan this could-be ship SO. MUCH.

Anyways, as of now I’m hoping Elriel doesn’t become a thing because I’m more into Gwynriel. But like no hate to Elain. She’s sorting out her shit her way and taking everything in her own pace, we just have yet to see more.

And Azriel is sad. Um I don’t know what man’s up to rn but, yeah.

MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW

what was your favorite part, 1 or 2?

Honestly I loved both parts, but I’d say I loved part two just a little bit more for the time that James wasn’t under the curse anymore and LOVED Cordelia

which scene in the book was your favorite?

EVERY scene that had Matthew and James being wholesome parabatai in it!!! my favourite chapter in this book was Blue Ruin, the one after Grace takes the bracelet back from James (aside from the whispering room ofc).

what scene (or scenes) made you cry the most?

ok ngl i didnt spend much of this book crying, but the only scene that actually made me tear up was when james was dying and matthew could feel it and jesse (WHO I FUCKING LOVED MORE THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD) gave him his last breath :(((((

what scenes were unsatisfactory?

there were not enough Christopher scenes (but to be fair, even if the entire book was just Christopher it still wouldnt be enough for me)

but fr, i cant think of any off the top of my head but i’ll edit this if i do later

what made you laugh the most?

matthew!! james!! thomas!! christopher!! also some of the things Jesse said

what bored you?

this wasn’t boring, but the whole charles/alastair plot line didn’t have me very invested. I did love the alastair/ cordelia scenes tho, so it was just charles that was the problem

also no offense to james bc he was my first actual fictional crush after reading TMH/NBS but like whenever he talked about being in grace i would literally zone out lol the bracelet curse makes him so boring but whenever he isnt in the curse/ is with someone who is NOT grace i just!! love him!!

what disappointed you?

cassie honestly had me kinda shipping matthew/cordelia for a solid FIVE SECONDS there when he stepped in to dance with her after james left her standing there, but that was one of the only scenes that made me feel like they had natural chemistry (along with the scene where he drops her off at her house). I felt like the during the rest of their interactions in the book, cordelia was kind of uncomfortable, which made me really sad because even tho she has every right to feel that way, i felt bad for matthew. I kind of want him to fall for someone else completely and for it to be reciprocated. also, i just really want for matthew and cordelia to become good friends because i feel like they could have such great natural chemistry if matthew didnt love her.

what is the top thing you wish had been done differently?

what things did you predict that came true?

what are some things that were really unexpected?

ok there’s quite a few things here so bear w me babes:

- James genuinely loving cordelia from the start. I wasn’t expecting him to naturally feel nothing for grace at all, so i was expecting a slow burn jordelia, but finding out that he actually loves her makes me so happy but the end where cordelia thinks he was just pretending breaks my heart :(((

-matthew liking cordelia lol definitely was not expecting another parabatai love triangle but i hope it doesnt last. i do think it adds to the plot and i love it, it just hurts to see matthew so emo :(((

-I was expecting to like cordelia as a character, but i ended up LOVING her so fucking much???? she’s so three dimensional to me, and it’s interesting to see how her personality adapts around different characters as people adapt around different social circles irl

-liking jesse as much as i did

-ok so james’ entire character was a surprise to me. it’s so fascinating to see how the bracelet actually affected his personality.If you recall him in The Midnight Heir from TBC. he’s like an entirely different person. i still loved him in TMH but i went into CHOG thinking that if he was gonna be like that the entire time i’d probably get over him really quickly. i was pleasantly surprised by how much i ended up loving him even more tho

-i didn’t expect oliver hayward to die and im going to stay emo about it

- Christopher is so much more clear headed than he was made out to be prior?? like there were so many scenes where he was fully there and when he defended anna to alastair i just kfdsnfkld i love him

are there characters that you didn’t like before that you like now?

yikes umm... Alastair, maybe? he’s somewhat okay to me now, I dont dislike him as much as I used to. ooh and Hypatia Vex. the only scene i remember liking her in QOAAD was when she helped out kit, ty and dru (me, going a whole TSC post without somehow mentioning kit? not possible)

are there characters that you liked before that you don’t like now?

I started CHOG ready to give Grace the benefit of the doubt, and I was surprised by how timid and shy she seemed at the start, but it was interesting to see how it was all an act and how she doesn’t have an actual personality yet. one could argue that she actually does love james, but i doubt it at this point. i dont hate her yet, even tho she IS fucking up james’ life, but she’s on thin fucking ice.

who was your favorite new character?

can i play an instrument: yes! i’ve been playing violin since i was 2. i wanna play guitar and i know some chords but i have small hands so it’s hard to find one that’s the right size that isn’t a shitty children’s guitar, and i sing! i’m an alto

random fact: so like. if you didn’t know already, i’m an LGBTQ+ youth activist on a national scale. i disappear on occasion because i’m doing something or another, and sometimes i post about it on my blog (speaking of i have exciting news that i heard, but at the same time, i’m pretty much booked every weekend from middle of next month until middle of july), but........ i hate networking. i loathe it. if i never had to network again, i’d be thrilled. networking is my absolute least favorite thing because i struggle at everyday conversation, much less networking with people at least 10-20 years my senior. sure it’s usually free publicity and i get great connections, but god. at what cost? and like.... it’s always after a really emotionally taxing event, so i’m already drained and then wow here’s a room full of adults who want my 18 year old input. please. just let me steal a cupcake then leave.

1- favorite type of scone?

cranberry orange! one of the farms a county over has a market and they sell them there and they’re to die for (altho, i found a sour cherry scone recipe that i’ve perfected and my family loves them so they’re a close second now)

2- london or la?

i’ve never been to london, but i’m gonna have to go with london. i went to la last october to present in an awards show for my organization and i lowkey was underwhelmed. i’m very much a gloom and rain kinda person, and it was too dry and sunny there. although, i did think the huge succulents were sick as fuck. but yeah definitely london. i’m planning to spend a semester abroad there in a few years for an illustration program

3- kissing in a forest or holding hands under the stars?

i’m afraid of forests because we have a lot of wildlife and i don’t want to get mauled by a bear don’t mind me holding hands under the stars :)

4- jeans or suit?

suit suit suIT SUIT suit. i love wearing suits. my chest doesn’t cooperate and my hips always hate them but god i do love suits.

5- loose hair or pulled back hair?

mine looks better loose, and my sides/back are shaved but the top reaches my ears, so it gets annoying sometimes and i pull it up to keep it out of my face

6- vampires or dragons?

i wanna say both. i used to say “yknow a dragon but in human form would be hot” then i got called dragon fucker for like two years so out of pure spite i’m going with vampires.

7- what saying do you wish could be a spell?

(this one’s a very specific reference so hear me out) “i’ve got to go pee on her” used to disorient and confuse the speech of the person casted upon. it’s one of my favorite quotes from scott pilgrim vs. the world (my favorite movie ngl) when scott’s brain can’t figure out two different sentences and he just says that. it’s so good and just fuckin weird that i love it.

8- which carry on character would you go on a coffee date with if you could?

depends tbh! if we’re talking date date, then penny because i would wife penny in 0.5 seconds, but if we’re talking friends getting coffee then 10000000% baz because i’d talk activism and identities with him

9- favorite carry on quote?

“he told me we would be stars” (i don’t have my book on me so i could be getting the line wrong), but it hit so hard for me. like it’s clear how davy manipulated lucy so much that she fell into it and couldn’t crawl out. it’s such a powerful message of control from those who are charismatic enough to hold it, and how sometimes we aren’t weak enough to let go.

10- how excited are you for wayward son?

lemme paint this picture: i started hyperventilating in the hallway when i found out, and then cried an hour or two later when my friend texted me that he preordered me a signed copy. like. i’ve been pre-planning how to get home from college to come and pick it up (okok the 24th is also my dad’s birthday so i’m. um. “coming home to visit him”, of course) because i’m just SO EXCITED to read them again in a canon way :’)

Relationship status: married (6 years!)

Favorite color: gosh I can’t decide at all. probably a dusky blue or an olive green. depends on my mood I think.

Top 3 ships:

1. so I’m ngl -- I don’t seriously ship a whole lot. Barisi is like... the only one I’ve ever participated in/felt REAL strongly about.

2. Ben/Leslie <3 I love a supportive nerd couple. I once ran to my lunch break at my old job in order to be able to watch the trailer for Smallest Park before it aired that evening because the trailer hinted at Leslie’s big “let’s get back together” speech and I was SO SOFT FOR THEM and so ready for them to get back together. I think I teared up in that Starbucks, though it was likely neither the first nor last time.

3. Niles/Daphne on Frasier. Like, I enjoy a lot of couplings on TV, so it was hard to narrow down this last one, but oh man Niles pining away after Daphne gave me so many preteen FEELS. And Frasier is my go-to background comfort show lately, so they’re forever in my periphery.

Last movie you watched: Paddleton on Netflix. OH MY GOD I have so many feelings about Paddleton. I watched it because I am in love with both Ray Romano (thanks to Parenthood -- but also I lowkey loved him in Everybody Loves Raymond bc I am a sucker for his brand of husband humor, idk, he pulls off a lot of the “get a load of my wife” jokes while sounding like he loves her) and Mark Duplass (thanks to Togetherness [WHICH SHOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER] and The League) and have always genuinely enjoyed Duplass Brothers films.

I WAS NOT PREPARED. NOT AT ALL. I did not know the plot of the movie, just dove right in. I did not know I was in for a gut punch. Words can’t do it all justice -- how perfectly they portray this just genuine, delicate, boyish friendship between those two guys, the kind of loner guys who “people look at funny in the grocery store”, the kind of friendship between men that I don’t think you see in media much. and just how hard and fleeting and valuable life can be, and how IMPORTANT friendship is. I don’t want to spoil anything. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it though and I watched it on Monday. It is a really, really important, good movie.

Hi again, so I wanted to ask what is your take on romantic ships with the following (both canon and au) Nina x Heihachi, Nina x Lars , Nina x Shaheen , Nina x Amour King and finally, Nina x Devil Jin.

Thoughts below the cut because it got long:

Nina X Heihachi = a big ol fuck no. She rightfully hates his guts and if given the chance would probably dance on his grave after the shit he pulled with her 🙃. She hates him more than she hates Kazuya honestly. Kazuya may have been the one to put her in cryosleep, but Heihachi was the one who ordered the experiments done on her, woke up Ogre which made him brainwash her, dared to call her "his super weapon", and then forced her to work for him in T7. You know she celebrated as soon as it was 100% confirmed he's dead.

Nina X Lars : Lowkey I could ship it. Canonically she is not a fan of him after he went rogue in T6, then he helped almost blow her up in T7 (and non-canon but he, Alisa, & Lee also ganged up on her again in one of the T7 pachislots oof) And in threads rn they have a sort of frienemy thing going on. But I would not be surprised if they were closer before he went rogue, and that definitely has the chance to be the base of something more in the future. It'll take a lot of work though.

Nina X Shaheen is another one I could definitely see, mainly because it actually was almost a thing in a thread on here lol. They both hate Kazuya's guts, there's the potential that they could help each other out (at least in the T7 setting) and I could see that going somewhere.

Nina X Armor King : I honestly don't have many thoughts on. She doesn't have much of a relationship or interactions with either Armor Kings canonically or within threads thus far. King II I could see potential for though?? Given how both were deeply impacted by Ogre and all.

And finally Nina X Devil Jin : oof. I have mixed thoughts. Nina X Jin is personally my OTP, and one of the many reasons why is because they can both easily relate to their traumatic experiences, like feeling out of control of their own body. Nina with being brainwashed by Ogre, Jin with his Devil side taking control. So while Nina might care deeply about Jin, I feel like she'd more so view his devil side as a demon that needs to be put to sleep and let Jin go... She's his bodyguard, she's supposed to protect him and stay by his side in T6, so I imagine if there were any late night devil episodes at the office Nina was in charge of snapping Jin out of it and handling his devil side. In the titan comics we even get a couple small bits of her doing so, one where she clearly knows how to calm Jin down and steady him to keep his devil side from completely taking over, and another where she recognizes Jin's devil side about to take control and she quickly takes action to again prevent it — That being said, however, I would not 100% rule it out just yet either. Nina at times is attracted to power, given maybe an AU where Jin has more control over his devil side and / or where Jin genuinely wants to be that evil (could not see that happening in canon but again AU). With a lot of convincing I could see her getting on board.
