Throwback Thursday:
Can I ask a favor? I’m hoping to kickstart more activity on my blog again after my 6 month hiatus. Reblogs are welcome to help me reach new and active bloggers. I’m actively working to get back into this condition and struggling a bit with my confidence right now. I know I can get there but some days are harder than others. Seeing how far I’ve let myself slip is discouraging and I’m hoping Tumblr can once again be a positive resource to keep me on track.
Don’t misunderstand my intentions. I’m not looking for a bunch of comments or praise and I definitely won’t be spamming anyone’s DM’s or inbox with messages. I’m a happily married guy not here for hook ups or chatting beyond positive words of encouragement. I’d like to find and follow other like minded blogs. Please don’t be offended if I don’t always follow back comment or like everyone’s posts. I prefer to keep my dash in the same vein as what I post. I’m certainly not here to judge anyone else’s blog, who they are or what they post. I don’t engage with hateful or malicious people or messages. I focus pretty hard on keeping my blog a safe positive space for all.
Just really feeling like I could use some added visibility right now to help inspire me to keep going. And hopefully continue to inspire those who are trying to reach their own mental and physical goals for the 1st time or the 100th time. Let’s continue to help each other by just being an active positive presence each and every day!!

Day 5: Rest day.
My ramblings below.
Good news, I can hold a high plank for almost a minute.
The bad news is that it's 'almost' a minute because I strained a muscle at 53 seconds.
It's my own fault. I should have been more cautious. I'm more susceptible to injury while I'm having a flare-up. I just find it so frustrating that my body will randomly betray me.

Last day of vacation and I’m setting some new habits up!
•3 bottles of water (right now that totals 95 ish oz)
•10k steps per day! Definitely no issue on days I work, but on my off days I need to work on not just laying in bed all day. Today I went on a 6k walk in the gorgeous sun which really boosted my steps
•meal prepping: nutrition is my biggest hardship right now. I don’t plan breakfast so I’m starving by lunch, grab food from the food court or snag a big coffee from Starbucks, and mindless snacking because I’m bored
I’m trying to start small and not do everything all at once or I’ll get overwhelmed. But the goal is to build up my self discipline and not be a giant pushover when it comes to achieving my personal goals!

Well what do you know, doing push and pull day back to back doesn't actually affect how much you can lift? I mean like...I figured that but to actually do it is very eye opening. My brain sort of automatically assumes that arm exercises two days in a row will mean that arms are tired and day two will be terrible, but I didn't find that at all.

Toddler was very happy to go back to "the gym, I or o" (I go to the Y and she has been guessing letters which is adorable). I was very happy to get this done the day after doing this at home:

I'm pretty sure I'm using my gym time/workouts to distract myself from my surgery coming up in March. However, I think this is a fairly healthy coping mechanism, and will help me recover faster. I love my routine, it's my neuro-spicy thing now that I gave it set I don't want to change it.
Yesterday I also started sorting through my 1.5" fabric strips for my best friend to use for a quilting class. It's a scrappy I spy sort of improv design, so I'm throwing everything in. Last week at the sip and sew I went to, one of the store employees gave me a ton of fabric scraps (we're both very scrappy quilters and people bring her scraps). So I also went through those and pulled out the ones that will be fun in my friend's quilt. Now I need to cut them all into strips (photo is about half of the gifted fabric).

Day 13: New Pedro inspired animal print leggings and decent sports bra.
I've had an awful day, I even caved and ate chocolate for the first time this year. I pushed myself to work out even for half an hour to help focus my mind.
I did Joe Wicks mobility warm-up
15 minutes HIIT
I only did half of some of the exercises. I am definitely better working out first thing in the morning.
and Journey to Mobility 5 minute Hamstring stretches.
I really like these stretches they feel more like actual stretches. The Joe Wicks ones feel more like exercises.

I "recently" got into running (aka end of April) and started training a bit harder with intervals and all that jazz after I wasn't happy with my progress (a bit over two weeks ago). Got a small injury after my second interval training, trained through it for a week, since it wasn't hurting during running and wasn't getting worse (on the contrary, but I also thought I was only sore at first) but ultimately decided that I should give it between a few days and up to a week of rest, since I didn't want it to get worse or take longer to heal.
It's getting noticeably better and I can probably run again at the end of the week but man... I never thought I would miss running so much... anytime I see another runner I'm like "please, I want too..."
This surprises me so much though, since I used to hate any kind of sport with a passion... but tbf I also used to weigh 130 kg (around 287 lb) and couldn't even touch my toes. A lot of things have changed around here.

I'm not hungry but I want to eat...
I feel that I must be extremely full to be satisfied.. and tbh I have always liked the feeling of being full (not to the point of where it's painful)
It reminds me of that video that I watched where mothers who are feeding their child and don't reassess if the kids actually hungry is actually drowning the kid and the kid will finish a whole bottle and everyone would think *oh he was so hungry* or *oh hes a big eater* but the baby was lowkey drowning and as a reflex was drinking the milk to save themselves and in turn became extremely full
I wonder if that action created adults that love the feeling of being extremely full, cause in a weird way it was mother's love.
It's a fulfilling and warm feeling; being extremely full that is
and maybe there is some ancient biological reason behind it but also maybe because our mothers overfed us on love when we were actually drowning
