EVENT: MEETING REQUIREMENT: WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY 001
the year-end meeting is no surprise to eunwoo. if one thing differs from being a trainee to being a student, it's those moments of reflexion and introspection that the company often ask of them. teachers do not care about personal and indivualized progress; all classes had their own objectives and students passed a class by meeting all the requirements. being a trainee is far more intricate, a fine balance between individuality and homogeneity.
what do you think are your strengths right now?
there isn't much need to think this question over as his strengths are quite obvious: "singing, acting and performing". he answers right away. considering he owns a bachelor degree of arts specialized in musical acting, lacking in any of these three skills would've been surprising. and even as a trainee, he still tends to put more work (and have more interest) in those skills. he's aware that this can be a fault of is, but eunwoo isn't the type to put time and effort in anything that doesn't pique his interest.
what are three skills that you would like to work on starting 2024?
expecting to be ask what he 'would like' to work on during the following year and not what he 'should' work on surprised eunwoo a bit. there's often a margin between these two concepts and rarely a middle ground. eunwoo has to think carefully about his answer this time. after a few seconds, he finally replies 'first, dancing; i've always been behind on that skill and I want to get better." this is middle ground where the desire and the need meet. he's not particularly fond of dancing, but the skill will be required of him no matter which path he decides to take. "i would also like to develop my bass playing skills. it's an instrument i've discovered during my early teens and never got to learn much of it until now." finally, he tilts his head from side to side, hesitant. "i guess i'm hesitant between learning a speaking skill, like hosting, and brushing up my english skills..." he explains. "but since this is about what i'd 'like', i'll go with mastering english".
if given a chance, what types of gigs would you be interested in participating?
"i think it's pretty obvious that i will pick musicals" he replies with a cheeky grin. "i've studied in that field and really like performing as a musical actor. while it doesn't come with the limelight of being an idol, i think musical actors are some of the most complete artists in the industry; they must know how to sing, dance, perform and act all at the same time. it's not easy, but it's fun." the trainee explains. "and i guess as second choice i would go with acting?" this time, he seems uncertain. "i guess my interests and skills are a bit limited. i can't see myself do modeling jobs" he cringes, just thinking about it. "and i don't have the skills nor the personality to do well in varieties. so acting it is. i at least have the skills for it."
during your time here in legacy, what are some of the lessons that you’ve learned about yourself?
this one is a little difficult. especially in terms of honesty. the truth would likely close some doors to him. he rubs his hands on his trousers a bit absentmindedly, weighting the pros and cons of revealing what he has truly learned about himself. as time ticks, he comes to the conclusion that he has no other options but to tell the truth... in a roundabout way. "i think, to be a celebrity, you need to at least tolerate the attention of others. loving singing, dancing, being on stage - or whatever - cannot be enough to accept the scrutiny of the media and fans that come with the stardom that idols receive." he says. "when i used to have an instagram account, to be completely honest, receiving likes and seeing my followers count grow would make happy. i never had too many followers, but seeing big numbers made me proud. so i thought i'd like the attention of fans too... but instead, i've realized that i'm fine without attention. i actually feel better without it. doing the red carpet on halloween was one of the toughest things i had to do this year." he explains, finally dropping the ball. "in other words, i guess i'm not that much of an attention seeker." he jokes. in other words; he might not be cut to be an idol.

💭 + whichhhh of your muses are musically talented? Whether it be playing an instrument or singing? (Hello! ^^)
💭 Musical Talent | Headcanons Meme
Tumblr media
Hi! Thank you for the ask, and thank you for reaching out. ♡ The last few days have been busy so sorry for the late reply 🫶 In order of most to least musically talented, here are a couple of headcanons surrounding my characters' relationships/experiences with music! (Headcanons may vary & change in different AUs, but these ones apply to MOST versions of my characters.)
DSMP
George
George is usually the most musically talented of all my characters. They're incredibly experienced on the piano; you could offer them a piece of music that they've never seen before and they'd be able to read and play it with little practice, if any at all. More often than not, they're the display child of their family, hence their many capabilities such as instrumentation -- their piano-playing was just another way to show them off. They may be good at it, but they don't truly enjoy it, and it isn't a talent they like to flaunt when all it does is resurface uncomfortable memories. But the memories play an important part in the way that they play, too. No matter how much they loathe it, when there is such raw and miserable emotion coursing through them when they play, it makes their music sound all the better. They despise the piano.
Though sometimes, it feels freeing. To play out of his own free will instead of being forced into it.
That said, their relationship with music hasn't completely fallen apart! While picking up the drums was supposed to be out of spite, they quickly fell in love with it. George isn't as good on the drums as they are with a keyboard, especially as they have less time to practice what with how busy they've been getting as they've grown, but they certainly enjoy it more. There may be some mistakes here and there and the lack of perfection can be frustrating, but they're learning quickly!
Singing is something that they like to do privately. It's more of a hobby than something they like to properly practice, so they don't like singing in front of other people or even hinting towards the fact that they like to sing. However, working on their breath control led them to finding and testing out their now favourite instrument, the ocarina. It gives way for a lot of creative freedom because it isn't particularly popular, and it's difficult to find sheet music for it. It started George's spiral into writing music for themself (mostly for piece on the ocarina, but sometimes piano, too) and learning how to read music for other instruments that they don't play just for the fun of it!
Karl
Karl is a little all over the place with vir musical interest. Ve's the type of person to seemingly know how to play every instrument you've ever heard of; even the ones you probably haven't heard of. You'd think ve must have some sort of secret, hidden stash of instruments that ve messes with in vir free time, but ve doesn't actually own any other than a keyboard. That won't stop vir from trying to get vir hands on a friend's guitar just to play a song because ve feels like it, nor will it stop vir little remarks of, "*I think I still remember how to play that,*" when happening to spot an unusual or uncommon instrument. It's absent-minded, really, though it may come off as bragging sometimes.
Admittedly, they can only play basic songs with almost all of these instruments that they claim to know how to use. Maybe they can only really play Twinkle Twinkle with a harp, but they're sure it still counts, at least a little bit. They may not be perfect with every instrument, but it's difficult to pick just one to focus on when he impulsively changes his mind at the flip of a switch. Plus, Karl can't read sheet music, so 'learning' how to play instruments typically consists of fucking around until he finds the right notes and memorises it. It makes the process all the longer -- no wonder he gets bored and moves on so quickly.
Sam
Quite some time ago, Sam used to play the violin. It has been a while since then and although it claims to remember how to play it perfectly, it's pretty likely that a few years of separation from its instrument may have taken a toll on how well it plays. The thought of it does happen to discourage it from picking up its violin again, only extending the time it has spent away from playing. Aside from that, Sam is another singer with one of the better voices of all my characters. It has quite the range, and while it can reach notes high enough to be somewhere around the lower end of a Tenor voice type, it sings more comfortably as a Bass. Sam doesn't sing often; it's an unintentional hidden talent. The kind of thing that it'd never speak about unless specifically asked about it. Not even in passing conversation, or if somehow reminded of it. Getting roped into performing on the spot isn't exactly appealing.
Dream
Dream's interest for instruments doesn't run so deep. He's a busy person! He hasn't exactly had the time to sit down and dedicate his already thinning time to learning how to pluck strings the right way, or how to pair the right notes together to make a chord. Once upon a time, he found the idea of playing guitar intriguing and spent a little bit of time trying to learn. Being someone that typically likes to travel and adventure a lot, having a portable instrument seemed like a nice addition at the time. Maybe it was only a fantasy, to think about playing songs around a campfire, or filling a silent forest with plucked strings and strummed chords. Now, xe can only really remember the basics. Maybe a song or two if muscle memory can recall it.
While xe may not have much experience with an instrument, Dream has taken a liking to singing lately. It isn't something xe likes to brag about, although xe isn't shy about it either. There's definitely certain genres and areas that xyr voice fits better, given that xyr pitch range isn't too broad, but seeing as it's almost becoming a hobby... xe might start taking it seriously! The practical aspect, at least, not so much the theory. Ever since discovering his interest in singing, he's also become a little bit of a lyricist. His lyrics are something he considers to be more private, though.
Velvet
Since he was young, Velvet has taken and only recently stopped taking guitar lessons. His guitar and the music he plays with it is extremely meaningful to him; not being particularly well-off meant that he didn't have a lot of opportunities for privileges like playing music. As a child, his parents scrounging up enough to get him into lessons and, eventually, his own guitar almost seemed too good to be true. Ever since, it has been an interest rooted so deeply that he doubts he could ever fall out of love with his instrument. But sometimes, he dreads to think that he isn't very good at it. Something about reading the sheet music doesn't quite compute in his mind and he struggles to read it fluently, but given a little time and dedication, he can manage. Learning how to play new songs takes time, probably more time than it should for most other people, but he wouldn't dare give up something so important just because he's a little slower than everyone else.
Oeca
Oeca has absolutely no musical talent whatsoever. His musical knowledge is so poor that you'd think he's never seen nor handled an instrument in his life, and he doesn't have nearly enough voice control to try singing. It's almost to the point of others being unable to decipher what song he's humming unless you happen to recognise the (slightly off-beat) rhythm. Music has never really interested him. He finds it tedious to learn and memorise the way an instrument works and how to read its music; as I'm sure you can tell, Oeca isn't a patient person. One of the main reasons he finds it so frustrating is because he has no sense of tempo due to his impatience.
He might even be a little tone-deaf. Oeca struggles to differentiate pitches and is pretty much incapable of matching the pitch of a note when he's given one. It's one of the main reasons for his impatience with music; he just doesn't understand what he's doing wrong, when it doesn't sound wrong to him. He's very unaware of the fact that he's tone-deaf and just figures that music is unnecessarily difficult or meant for the naturally gifted. But that doesn't mean he doesn't indulge in listening every now and then. He likes music, he just doesn't like making it.
Tumblr media
DAYBREAK
Finley
Finley is a bit of a complicated case. Given that he has lived underwater for the majority of his life, he hasn't had access to human instruments -- not that they would work underwater, anyway. Woodwind and brass instruments wouldn't make a very appealing sound as soon as they get clogged with water, while strings and percussions would be dampened by the water. Not that it matters; he isn't interested in human trash that litters the ocean, anyway, even if it's something as interesting as an instrument.
That doesn't mean he has no musical talent whatsoever, though. There are alternatives underwater. It's very likely that Finley took up some sort of instrument created by his people, but after the presumed extinction of his kind, he doesn't like to talk about the past and that includes the culture. Any questions about his musical background will be shut down immediately... which does insinuate that he has something hidden, though he never intends to share it.
Emery
Emery is similar to Karl, in the way that they took it upon themself to learn how to play every instrument within their reach. Indulging in both the common and the unheard of, just to broaden their knowledge for the sake of having options for composition. They've always been enthusiastic about taking to the stage, particularly so at a younger age, and found an interest in the different sounds that instruments can produce because they wanted to create a piece for themself. A themesong, if you will. Some sort of riff or leitmotif that would play whenever they're introduced onto the stage. If people are going to recognise them through a sound cue, they'd prefer it was one of their own! The only instruments that Emery tends to steer away from are woodwind and brass instruments. Their breath control isn't something to brag about and they prefer the sound of strings, anyway.

Transcript of Interview with Huang Xiodan a.k.a. Darren Huang.
Interviewer: Good morning, Mr. Huang. Have a seat, please.
Darren: Right here?
Interviewer: Yes. Or anywhere that's most comfortable for you.
Darren: Right. [chair scraping] Thank you. You can just call me Darren, by the way.
Interviewer: Sure, if that's your preference. Darren, I'll be asking you a few questions today. Feel free to answer them however you like.
(Darren is visibly uncomfortable. He wrings his hands together.)
Darren: Is this being recorded? For a... magazine or an article or something? If so, then sorry, I'm not interested.
Interviewer: Yes, this interview is being recorded. However, rest assured what you say in this room is strictly confidential. It will neither be published nor distributed.
(Darren appears somewhat comforted, though he still seems wary.)
Interviewer: First question.
(From this point onward, unless otherwise indicated, assume all words spoken besides the questions themselves are the words of Huang Xiaodan.)
Are you named after anyone?
Not that I'm aware.
2. When was the last time you cried?
[laughs nervously] Not holding back, huh? Uh, I don't know? Maybe... (He purses his lips.) Uh, yeah. I don't know.
3. Do you have kids?
Are you saying I look old enough to have kids to you? [laughs] I'm joking. But no, no kids. They're cute, but not interested in them. (He stares at his hands.) At least, not right now. Wait, you promise this isn't for some magazine or anything, right? Disregard my previous statement if it is.
(He calms down once I reassure him his statements will indeed remain confidential.)
Right, sorry. It's just been a while since I've done something like this.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
Sometimes. (He looks to the distance, smiling fondly.) Not as much as Naia, though. Have you interviewed her? Holy shit, I'd love to know what she said. Huh? I can't? Oh, right. Confidentiality. (He flashes a smile and cocks his head.) Not even a little? No? Aw, man.
5. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Whether they're smiling. I think you can tell a lot about someone by seeing whether they're smiling the first time they meet you. Helps me tell whether they might already like me or not. It's why Zeke gave me all the wrong vibes first time I saw him.
6. What's your eye colour?
Just basic brown. I think they're nice, though. But if I could have any other eye colour it'd be gold. Ooh, or I'd want to have heterochromia and have one eye be gold and the other brown. That'd be cool.
7. Scary movie or happy endings?
Happy endings. [pauses] Definitely happy endings. (He smiles. It is somewhat rigid.) But I've watched my fair share of scary movies because of Naia. Not my cup of tea. Let's just leave it at that.
8. Any special talents?
There's not much I can't do, you know? [laughs] That sounds like such a brag. But I am. Bragging. I can paint, waltz, sing, act, sculpt, write some impeccable Chinese calligraphy—and that's not even mentioning the instruments I can play. Piano, violin, cello, harp, flute. You name it, I can probably play it. Oh, but wanna know my coolest talent? I'm Candy Cupid. (He grins.) What's that? Oh, I'm so glad you asked. Basically, I can match people with their favourite candy. I just know. Every person has their own candy soulmate. It's like—
(He speaks at length of his Candy Cupid talent. The rest of the transcript has been cut for brevity's sake.)
9. Where were you born?
Shanghai. Beautiful place, you know? Even after moving, I went back there a lot as a kid. Wouldn't go again.
10. What are your hobbies?
I uh... [laughs sheepishly] I like knitting. You swear nobody's gonna publish this, right?
11. Have you any pets?
Nah. I'm not home a lot. Would be really mean for me to have a pet. But I'd love to have a polar bear. Have you seen them wet? They look so pathetic. It's hilarious. Don't tell Naia I called them that, though.
12. What sports do you play/have played?
I mean... you wanna hear me start bragging again? [laughs] I was trained to play any sport there is. Again, you name it, I can play it. I'm a monster at tennis, though. Dominate the court.
13. How tall are you?
Six foot one. And I swear I'm not lying!
14. Favourite subject in school?
Chemistry, no contest. Think that's pretty obvious given I literally teach it for a living. But yeah, I loved it. Still do.
15. Dream job?
Having my own app where I match people with their favourite candies. Like Tinder, you know? [laughs] No, but on a more serious note, I really enjoy being a chemistry teacher. Wouldn't want any other job. Plus, I get to bother Naia all day. So, I love my job. Which is crazy to say aloud, because who loves their job?
Interviewer: Alright, thank you—
Darren: Oh, that's it?
(He appears disappointed.)
Interviewer: Yes, that's all the questions I have for you today, Darren. Thank you for your time.
Darren: Right. Of course. No problem. It was a pleasure. (He extends his hand.)
Interviewer: Likewise.
(I shake his hand. Darren stands from his chair, pushes it back in. At the door, he bows his head slightly and smiles. He leaves the room.)

Ok I need to go on a rant about show tunes. They're objectively bad. Don't worry, I've heard a lot of them, I even played in the pit for my high school theater and I still hate show tunes. 1.The lyrics are cringey, basically just dialogue or literal exposition of the story. I do like concept albums, in fact I think the idea of using music to tell a story is great, but making your characters constantly RHYME to speak to one another is absolutely insane as it takes away the characters ability to speak in their own voice. The linear progression of story telling also means that the lyrics rarely repeat, often as a song goes on a chorus allows for the listener to reinterpret the previous verses and anticipate new ones, we rarely get such a break in show tunes. this almost means that we get explicit character names, places, and events in our lyrics which lacking context completely jar a listener. 2.Singing is bad. Essentially it's modern opera, so I get that it started with lots of projection and vibrato, but let's be real you no longer have to do that with lapel microphones. We can have dynamic volume and annunciation. These people have grown up their whole lives singing with piano accompaniment and it shows in the tin-like nasal annunciation they sing. Even the best broadway singer would instantly butcher any other genre as they barely slide notes or usually can't hold notes WITHOUT vibrato, nor do they get through distorted vocals without simply getting raspy. 3.Instrumentation. To be fair, musicals have been getting a little better about incorporating stuff besides classic accompaniment but basically whenever they do they attempt it as a genre piece, and end up completely cliche as the genre is concern. Outside of the narcissisms of the writers or actors, the MUSIC is never the focus of the song. 4. No genre or originality. I would say Grease and Rocky Horror are perfect examples of this in that basically they are simply 4 chord progression covers of a well established genres that are extremely easy to churn out. If you know a little music theory you could write a "blues" or "rock" or "jazz" musical in an afternoon. Even when it's done no song from a musical can stand on it's own against MUSIC written for the purpose of just being listened too. If you were to have a blind listening test for anyone trained in any amount of music they could pick out a "musical" song nearly 99% of the time. Most "Musical" music is to normal music what Christian Rock is to rock, the music is entirely secondary to an agenda.
5.Arrangement. Very little thought is usually put into the arrangement of the of songs, as nothing besides the voice of the actors can really take up much time in the melody so why bother. Interesting sounds, instruments, or melodic and harmonic ideas are just a distraction to the performance. Outside of backing there's little required of most musicians to preform these pieces, and half the time it sounds like a church band or high school choir for this reason. Improvisation, instrumental solos, or a breakdown are either rare or completely unimaginative in structure. 6. Chord progressions are all basic to the point that the "halfway through a song key step as a way to mix it up a little bit because we got more exposition in the lyrics as we go from point a to b as we do a 4 chord progression that is getting boring" is a thing in pretty much every musical. So anyways in conclusion, musicals suck, are completely stagnant as a "genre". They are written by and for a strange kind of narcissistic person who needs to constantly hear a very loud voice telling them a story with comforting non-dangerous music that's really only there to help set a little bit of mood for whatever tacky costume and choreography is supposed to be happening on stage. If you listen to show tunes for fun outside of actually watching a stage production you probably should be institutionalized. If, even worse, you make other people listen to them on a PA system while at a retail or work situation you should be euthanized. Don't send me your favorite "this is musical music but it's good because it avoids the reasons you said above" as it still sucks for another reason I didn't remember while typing this.

Voiceplay-adjacent Visuals: Man of Constant Sorrow
Geoff's cover of Man Of Constant Sorrow was uploaded on the 15th of April, 2023 (the birthday of one of my best friends actually - lucky them). Geoff says in the description of the video: "As great as the song is, I always felt like it needed a bridge, so I wrote one. I fully expect some haterade in the comments section for that, but I love you all anyway." As far as I know, he has received exactly zero (0) "haterade" in the comments section for it, and nor does he deserve any! The bridge is great, and so good that those who don't know the original song (like myself and a few of the reactors I've watched) could think that it was just part of the original song (and did in fact think that), and those who do know the original might think it's from a completely different song! (Like one or two other reactors I've watched).
But anyway, enough about the song (and Geoff's mind-boggling ability to just write new lyrics on a whim, apparently), time to talk about the visuals! Let's go!
Tumblr media
This video was filmed at "Big Oaks Ranch", which you might recognise as being the same filming location of Geoff's video for Take Me Home Country Roads (which I skipped over I know), as well as Voiceplay's videos for Daddy Sang Bass and Billie Eilish In 3 Minutes!
(Also check out how warm/saturated this shot is!)
Tumblr media
A rare occasion of giving each of the Backup Geoffs different outfits despite it not being a theatrical/majorly-story-based video! We got Blue Shirt Geoff (wearing a polo with none of the 3 buttons done up on it), Light Shirt Geoff (wearing what I think is a pale-green shirt, but I'm not sure, with the top two buttons undone), Black Shirt Geoff (surprise surprise 😝😂) (t-shirt, so no buttons to speak of), and Plaid Flannel Geoff (with at least two buttons undone at the top, and open enough that you can see his necklace on full display!)
(Also that reddish brown belt gets a decent bit of usage doesn't it? Same one as two of the Cowboy Geoffs were wearing in Ghost Riders I believe, and I think it's been worn in Sixteen Tons and/or Big Bad John as well?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Appreciation for the way the camera panned down along the train tracks, then panned up to Geoff, feet to head. We stan (also full necklace spotted here too!)
Tumblr media
Sir how does your hair do that, how is your hair so good that you're giving me hair envy? (For the record, I have long, orange, wavy hair, and yet I can't help but be allured by Geoff's hair sometimes! 😅)
Tumblr media
Let's talk about "Hat Geoff" for a minute here, because he's clearly the protagonist of this video, but in an interesting and uncommon twist, he's not actually the lead singer in this video - Light Shirt Geoff is!
(Also I'm genuinely wondering if that's an actual photo that he's holding, and if so, what's on it? (knowing him, my bet is that it's a picture of Kathy/him and Kathy <3 ))
Tumblr media
Fun fact: Geoff's "guitar-playing" in this video is mostly just him faking it; doing simple strumming and stuff like that. He can't actually play guitar - or not in the typical way at least. For most of the instrumental stuff in his covers, he uses some sort of plug-in that connects to an electric keyboard/piano, iirc.
(Also the strings are barely vibrating as he's strumming, and I don't think he's even holding a guitar pick. I can't play guitar either though so what do I know? 😅)
Tumblr media
Well he certainly looks good with it at any rate! 😁
Tumblr media
"I can feel it like a bullet, no matter where I tread,"
(On my list of "movements/gestures from a Voiceplay/Geoff that I replicate nearly every time I sing it to myself 😝"_
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"All my days I have been running from these GHOSTS within my head!"
Tumblr media
The flowers placed next to Geoff's hat here, are known as "baby's breath", and apparently they've long been used as a symbol of purity, innocence, hope, and new beginnings. Their inclusion in this video would not have been for no reason!
(Also maybe Geoff does know a little bit about guitar-playing? Based on the way he changes hand/finger position on the neck of the guitar).
Tumblr media
To just throw in an E1 subharmonic like it's the simplest thing in the world, while looking this good... god it's almost too much!
Tumblr media
Also a bit of a fan of Plaid Flannel Geoff though ngl 👀
Tumblr media
Genuinely some lovely cinematography in this video! (And apparently a lot of that is because of Geoff as well! Although Layne often helps out with the Steadicam)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neat!
And I feel like it would be remiss of me to not highlight Geoff's message to people at the end: 😁
"I should mention that the train tracks I was walking down were not in use! So please please please don't go walking down any train tracks near you - trains are big and strong, and you are soft and squishy." [pfft, a Very Important Message indeed!]
I enjoy Man of Constant Sorrow for the fact that for the majority of the song, I can stay pretty easily on key with it (though often a couple or so octaves higher, of course). And that bridge is really awesome, and I could not imagine the song without it!
Only got a couple more Geoff videos that I wanna talk about (at the time of me typing this, at least), but they are my two other favourite videos on his channel (other than Way Down), so be prepared for many more screencaps! Stay tuned!

some "old" writing
I woke up this morning with old Genesis prog rock in my head (specifically "Selling England by the Pound") and I'm just impressed that my brain remembered so many of the lyrics after not listening to these really rather complex songs in such a long time. It was just what I needed to blast through some boring work this morning, but it also made me think fondly of my last huge writing project before I devoted myself to Peter Lorre fic more or less full-time.
Back when I was going through a serious prog rock phase, I wrote an entire book that was one huge, half-silly half-serious riff on all my favorite 1970s-1980s musicians, written as fictitious ancient people of the Stone Age. I had a lot of fun with it, and I think it was also very necessary for me at the time to write something long and get all the writing cobwebs out before I found what I really wished to do. My favorite thing was writing thinly-veiled caricatures of actual rock personalities in the hopes that people would recognize them. Sometimes I was a little too on-the-nose with names... or was I? See if you can guess.
(well, since you can't tell from this particular excerpt, I'll say that two of the main characters Oak and Rowan are young Mike and Tony of Genesis fame, but who's the new trio of performers?) ;)
_______________
At length, a new trio of young Coastal men appeared. The audience stirred and the whole cavern shook with deafening cheers. Oak sat up with fresh interest and nudged Rowan's shoulder.
“I know them! That one there, see him?” He pointed to the middle one, a slightly chubby youth with a perfectly circular face. He carried an elegant sifigaan that stood about half his own height and bore a graceful curve like a swan's neck, carved from a single branch of ash wood.
“What about him?” asked Rowan, struggling to raise his voice. He could barely hear himself think.
“He's Lake. Moon-on-the-Lake. He used to sing at other meetings but I never had much to do with him. And the others... oh, I've already forgotten their names.”
Rowan watched the trio take their places in the chamber. The drummer sat behind two low skin drums and raised his arms to encourage the crowd, showing off glorious muscles as taut as new bowstrings. He was a joyful, innocent sort with a bright honest face and a jubilant grin. As he cheered, the enormous leaf crown atop his head slipped down over one eye and fell apart under its own weight. He tried to fix it, still smiling as his two bandmates teased him. Rowan couldn't help laughing too; it was possibly the most impractical headdress he had ever seen. It was fashioned from row upon row of the green fan-palm leaves that grew in low shrubs along the dry mountain coast, and radiated out from his head like streaks of sunlight through the clouds. Rowan considered that it might be a namesake, and knew he was correct when he heard Lake playfully admonish: “Leave it, Palmetto!”
The third member of the trio was something of a puzzle. He was small and thin-legged, and his eyes were hidden behind a long mop of fluffy brown hair. He did not volunteer a name to the crowd, nor wear any kind of obvious namesake, but simply grinned and took his place behind a curious instrument. It had large flat stones like Rowan's elanngyo, only they were tied down to an upright wooden frame rather than allowed to swing freely. A number of hollow gourds of varying sizes were lashed to the sides, and a few shell strings dangled off the front. With the practiced air of someone who had done this many times before, the little musician strapped two round pebbles in the palms of his hands and slapped a quick double rhythm into the instrument, each hand playing different notes. The stones rang and clattered under his strikes, and drew cheering whistles from the audience even before the song began. The little player waved to them and lowered his head, allowing his hair to cover most of his shyly grinning face.
The group did not bother to introduce themselves. They started up immediately once the crowd had quieted, opening with humming strikes on the very lowest strings of Lake's sifigaan, and stealthy words of warning:
There's a sharp edge in the girl's hand
Waiting for the strike at her man
Don't expect they will have many
Days until the stars take pity
Never knowing
Take the women from the clearing
As the sparrows watch in silence
How the warlord prays for violence!
The verse repeated in other languages, building slowly before Lake gave a long wail and stood aside, disappearing into the flickering shadows. For a long time there were no words, only the pounding of drums and the exclamations of the elanngyo. The song grew faster and the drummer tossed his head to the sky. His eyes rolled and he clenched his teeth, straining as he drove the tempo to an impossible limit. Droplets of sweat flung away from his brow and the ends of his feathery hair with every beat. He did not let up his pace for an instant. The remnants of his broken palmetto crown had long since fallen to the ground in the whirlwind of his energy.
The tiny elanngyo player was a whole performance unto himself. His eyes were closed as he struck blindly from note to note in a chaotic madness, and he wore a grimace of such intense concentration that he looked to be in pain. He leaped and twirled about, at times thrusting himself bodily into his instrument. He ground his hips against it in a passion, he mounted it like a lover in the throes of bliss. Something flashed in his hand as he brought it down violently upon the stones again and again, and a tortured scream went up like murder.
Rowan was mystified. His eyes widened when he saw the smears of blood. A glassy black flint was driven between two of the singing stones, and there was a fresh bleeding wound on the player's fingers. The little madman scarcely noticed. He grunted as he drove a second, then a third flint into the vitals of the instrument, still coaxing noises from it, and with a final heave he tipped it over with a great clattering of stones into the sand. He raised his bloodied hands into the air and the song ended with Lake's final cry and the clamor of the frenzied audience cheering them on.
Breathing hard and shining with sweat, they bowed and swiftly cleared away for the next group. Rowan overheard Lake and Palmetto fussing over their companion’s injured hand, but the little elanngyo player just smiled.
“It looks good, don't you think?” he said, pointing to the bright red smears of his own blood across the overturned instrument. He happened to catch Rowan's eye and winked from under his locks.

Greetings from WorshippdSun!
Here's an introduction (finally) to myself and this blog!
Tumblr media
I'm a terrible rambler, so I'm going to limit this post/introduction to information about myself for the most part. For things like commissions, rules, an FAQ, etc., I'll probably make a separate post and link it somewhere on here (if/when I get around to it).
But for now, here's some stuff about me!
What's your name?
I go by Curio, but my art accounts online will always be WorshippdSun (or some variation of that), and my other major/most common usernames are WizardCat or calamityProphet (again with some variations). You can call me Curio, but Sun, Worshippd, Wiz, Wizard, Cat, Calamity, and other variations of my username(s) are fine, too! If you come up with a nickname or something that I'm uncomfortable with, I'll let you know (and I may update a list here or on some other post/page for reference).
What pronouns do you use?
I use any and all pronouns. Literally any and all, you can use neopronouns even. I don't have a preference, you can pick a set and use it, you can mix it up, do whatever. They/them is always a safe default, but in general, I really don't care. Same with gendered language; my only real preference is "whatever's funniest in the moment." If something comes up that makes me uncomfortable, I'll try to update a list somewhere, either here or in a rules post that I may make (if I make it, here's the link.)
How old are you?
I am an adult! I'm 21, but in case I forget to update this post with my birthday, check my account bio because that will be updated in real time.
What about adult content?
I definitely make art that isn't adult or suggestive, it's the majority of what I do (at least as of writing this), but that doesn't mean I don't make any adult/suggestive/NSFW content. I will do my best to tag and filter things with various warnings as best suited, but I am flawed and may forget or miss something.
What about minors?
I don't have a strict no-minors/must have age in bio policy, but I advise minors against viewing this blog (or at least blocking various adult content tags, I'll probably make a post that lists the tags I use and link it here when I do.) If I see a minor or no-age blog interacting with my NSFW content or attempting to contact me regarding NSFW content/topics, I WILL BLOCK YOU. Full stop.
So that tagging system?
I try to tag things as best I can, both for exposure and so people can search for specific content more easily or better filter out triggers or other content they don't want to see. Here's a link to my tagging system post. No promises, I'm not perfect, but if I forget to tag something (especially if it's a trigger or sensitive content), let me know! Same goes if there's something you'd like me to trigger tag, just ask! I can't promise I'll always say yes, but it's worth asking. As a heads up, I typically trigger tag things as just the word and then a separate tag for the word and tw. For example, if there's blood in an image, it would be tagged both "blood" and "blood tw". This is subject to change, but it's how I do things for now.
How long have you been doing art?
I'm pretty new to art-- I've been around artists for a while, I've "drawn" on and off throughout my life, but I only really hunkered down and got consistently into drawing in the late summer/early fall of 2021.
What else do you do?
In the creative sphere, I play a couple instruments (piano, viola, guitar) to varying extents and I sing. I enjoy theatre, but I don't often partake in it (even if I should). I guess I consider myself a writer but I don't do much writing nor do I have any finished products or serious/long-term WIPs, so... I'm not really much of a writer. I'm also a college student, studying biology (with an art minor), so I'm something of a scientist myself.
What are your hobbies, what things do you like?
I play D&D (or TTRPGs in general) with friends, I listen to music, I watch YouTube, I play video games (I'm a casual gamer, not a Gamer, so don't get too excited). I enjoy fashion and film/cinematography, but I don't do much in the way of getting involved and studying them, making clothes, making short films, etc., I just find them interesting. I really don't do a whole lot, I'm not really a busybody.
This is tumblr, so what about media, franchises, and fandoms?
At the moment, I'd say the things I'm most into are Overwatch 2, Star Trek, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and a few other things, but those are the big ones. I'll try to update this if/when those change since I tend to go through phases, but no promises that I'll remember! I could also make an entire separate post to just list my various fandoms and where I stand with them now (still really into, was majorly into but don't care anymore, ones I actively avoid, etc.). If I do ever make that post, link here.
Where else can I find you?
For a collection of my links, here's my carrd. I do my best to add things there when I make a new account or join a new site or whatever. As of writing this, I'm definitely NOT equally active across platforms and some aren't really set up, but I'll be trying to get things going. As of right now, the main things I can point you to are my ArtFight (not under WorshippdSun) in case you want to interact during art fight, my Instagram because that's probably where I'll be most active outside of Tumblr, and my Patreon which, as of writing this, is NOT set up, but will hopefully be set up soon. It'll be a main method of supporting me (if you so choose) as well as a venue for me to potentially do commissions and show my actually NSFW art (in all its uncensored glory).
...
I think that's it for now! This will probably be my pinned post for... the forseeable future, and if I think of anything to add to it (or I end up making some important posts like rules, FAQ, commissions, etc.), I'll edit it and add things here. This information IS subject to change, so it may end up being different or I may have added or changed rules since the last time you looked at it. Thanks so much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Could you do a scene in an urban fantasy AU, with the JatP crew being Dragons. Reggie hoards instruments (and picks them up quick!) Julie hoards bracelets, Alex hoards soft things, like blankets and hoodies, and Luke is the weird one, because he hoards something intangible. Music. (Obviously, he could have like albums, or sheet music, or lyrics written down or whatever, but I like the idea that he has a hoard, that's not physical). Maybe that leads to gentle teasing?
Luke is the last to return to the cave where they've made their home together. It's not natural for dragons to share their homes with one another, but it's never bothered any of them. If anything they prefer it this way.
He shrinks back down from his colossal size to his human form, scratching at the remaining scales on his arms that always stick around. Out of the four of them, Luke is the one who spends the most time in his human form. If possible, Alex would never transform into anything other than his true form, and Julie and Reggie stay happily in the middle.
They all have their quirks and Luke knows that better than anyone.
He's never known nor heard of another dragon that doesn't keep a physical hoard of something. The legends are always full of treasure-hoarding dragons but treasure doesn't necessarily mean gold or jewels. He's known dragons whose collections included books or paintings (though one wrong sneeze wipes out years of collecting), and dragons whose interests lay in what others might call junk - such as broken trinkets or worn down pencils.
Even his own friends collect things that are a little outside of the "typical" treasures, but it doesn't make them any less meaningful. And even if his hoard isn't a tangible thing he can hold in the palm of his hand, it still means the world to him.
Reggie's playing around with his latest find - an ocarina - when Luke comes home, and he can feel Alex's tension before he's even said a word. He can't actually see Alex from where he's hidden underneath his collection of blankets but there's a hint of smoke that's definitely coming from Alex's nostrils that's undoubtedly poking out somewhere.
Luke whistles along with the tune Reggie is feeling out on his new instrument, and when Reggie stops to smile at him Luke tucks the song away in the vault in his mind. He remembers every piece of music he's ever heard and he keeps them all in the back of his head so he always has them whenever he may need them.
Julie turns her attention away from her wrist at the sound of Luke's whistle and smiles at him, her toothy grin just on the edge of teasing.
"Hear anything good today?" she asks as Reggie sets his ocarina on top of his piano and Luke settles down against the pile of Alex's blankets.
"A couple things," he replies, smiling back at her as he folds his arms behind his head and relaxes against the blankets. He feels a nudge against his back and he looks up to see Alex slowly poking his head further out of his nest, one large blue eye staring down at Luke.
"You're on my tail," he grumbles.
"Maybe if you weren't completely covered," Luke says as he shifts around, "I wouldn't sit on your tail."
Alex snorts, sending a couple of his blankets shooting across the room. Reggie dutifully gets up to grab them while Julie snuggles up next to Luke and shows him her newest bracelet.
"I like how it jingles," she says excitedly as she twists her wrist around as she leans her head on his shoulder. Reggie returns with the missing blankets and lays them out across Luke and Julie's laps before he stretches across both of them, acting more like a cat than a dragon as he curls up against them.
"Lazy moochers," Alex grumbles with another snort.
"You love us," Julie replies as she pats the blanket above her head and grins in Alex's direction.
"Sing us something you heard today," Reggie asks, trailing his fingers over the scales of Luke's arm. "Your new favorite."
Luke chuckles softly and begins humming something he heard a few hours ago while wandering around one of the shops in a nearby town. He leans his head back against Alex as Julie rests her head on his shoulder again, lulling the other three to sleep with his voice and feeling like there's nowhere else he'd rather be.
tell me about a fic you'd wish i'd write!

As re-entering a link from herzeleid.com never seem to work (??) I usually copy and paste the actual text. Remember a transcription of Flake chatting with fans that I posted from early 00'? Before this Paul had a similar if not the same chat. I have already too long post in tumblr now so it will be broken down in 2 parts!
PAUL CHAT WITH FANS part I
Transcribed by Jeremy Williams
Taken from Rammstein.com chat
October 26 , 2005
_____________________________
Mod: Hello to you all. Thanks for coming out. Paul will be here in just a few minutes. And then we're going to get started.
Paul: Let's go!
niti: +++
Mod: Sorry, there was a technical problem. But the chat will start soon.
niti: +++
**atomrt: how do you chose the sounds for each song because all of them fit perfectly?**
Paul: Thanks a lot! Sometimes that works out well, sometimes not so well.+++
**maria: Your album covers have always sparked a lot of controversy. Which cover is your favourite and why?**
Paul: The cover for Sehnsucht was the most dramatic in my opinion.+++
**Benzramm: What was coming out of the fake penis during the live act "Bück Dich"? **
Paul: That was water with Ouzo to make it milky.+++
**Beurgueur: Good evening, Have you ever thought to write a metal-opera based on rammstein’ story?**
Paul: Hopefully not. We have enough theater elements already.+++
**MafiUndomiel: I was at River Plate Stadium in Argentina, 1999, when you toured with KISS. You did almost surpassed KISS music and show with your impact, and many people was really impressed. I still remember the silence during Du Hast, as Till was singing the refrain. What do you remember of Argentina, of this show? **
Paul: Yeah, that was unbelievable. It's a shame that we can't play in South America this time. Flake was seriously ill.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Did Till write Te Quiero Puta on his own, or had some kind of external help? I know it's not very complicated, nor elaborated in the lyrics, but it's not easy to put two or three sentences together if you don't know the language... believe me! I'm still trying with German!**
Paul: He had some help from his girlfriend and from Flake's friend from Chile.
Paul: But Till can already speak Spanish so well that he only had a few questions about grammar.+++
**monkeyman: What type of gear do you use when recording in the studio?**
Paul: This would take two hours to list. Too much for now. Sorry.+++
**Hugo: Why did you choose almost the same cover for the japanese version of Reise, Reise and Rosenrot? **
Paul: Because we thought it would be a shame to use the cover only for the Japanese edition.+++
**MafiUndomiel: There are many bands that edited DVD and VHS with the footage they got when they recorded their albums, the creative process and all that stuff. Since many R+ fans are really interested in knowing "Rammstein's kitchen", have you considered releasing something of that kind?
** Paul: I filmed some of the footage during Reise, Reise and it will come out sometime on a DVD as bonus material.+++
**blastedop: What happened to Live DVD? It was delayed? **
Paul: Yeah a little bit, but we're going to try to do it this year.+++
**MafiUndomiel: I wanted to know how did you put your setlists together when you go to a country you've never been... you mix old and new material, or you prefer to show your new material above all, and play only the "classics"? **
Paul: We play a mix of both old and new.+++
**Jenna: As you are possibly the most successful band from Germany (singing in German) that you are expected to represent German music and culture to the rest of the world? **
Paul: It was never our plan to play all over the world.
Paul: Sometimes we wonder ourselves how this all happened.+++
**beurgueur: what american film director would you enjoy to make a ckip with **
Paul: Tarantino.+++
**Benzramm: Did you ever get hurt when you were working with fire on the live acts ? **
Paul: Sometimes.+++
**aeon: One Rammstein member said you had a movie project with Werner Herzog. Do you think this project will be carried out and would you like to act in something different from Rammstein videos ? **
Paul: It's been awhile with WErner herzog. Maybe it will work out, there's still a plan to do it.
Paul: +++
**Rammsteinizied: Dear Paul: What is your favorite live performance effect? (like the flamethrowes in Feuer frei or the bow in DRSG) **
Paul: The nose flame throwers that we use in Feuer frei!+++
**MafiUndomiel: Which was your first guitar? Do you still own it? **
Paul: It was a Telecaster copy. A cheap one. I gave away my first guitars at an auction for a good cause. No idea whether it worked out.+++
**Straya: This has been in my mind for a while now, and I must ask. From the sample songs on the official site, it seems Rosenrot might be your 'hardest/loudest' albums, the songs seem 'hard', in a way, like Ich Will, Feuer Frei, and Mein Teil; what do you think of this? **
Paul: I don't think so. There are fewer sequences so the guitars come out better.+++
**Synthema: Do you still feel that being in Rammstein is almost like being in a six-way marriage? Does the band still function as a tight a unit or have things drifted apart? **
Paul: Yeah.
Paul: We're still together. Knock on wood. We've been together for 10 years and now that we've gone through our crisis, we feel better than ever.
Paul: We've got money, success, beautiful women and all the rest.
Paul: Things can only get worse.+++
**Jenna: Do you think your videos help to stop you taking yourselves too seriously? **
Paul: We've always taken ourselves less seriously than many people think. our best friends know this.
Paul: At the moment, we don't feel like making any humouress videos.+++
**whiskeypapa: When writing a song, how many/what kinds of revisions does the song go through before finally making it onto an album? **
Paul: Some songs make it out directly as we conceived them. With other songs, we make 20 versions and they still don't make it.
Paul: +++
**Noora: HI! I'm a fashion and design student from Finland and I was wondering about your stage costumes...How much do you participate in the designing and making of the outfits that you use on your tours? I understand that every album has its own look. Do you first design the outline of the look as a band and hen consult a designer and maker? Thanx and welcome back to Finland! :)**
Paul: Most ideas come directly from the band. For the last outfit, we had the idea to combine Bavarian folkloric outfits with industrial.
Paul: Because Bavarian folklore is not very cool and we like to mix things that you're not supposed to.+++
**Beurgueur: Have you ever thought in what your life would be now if rammstein never was created?**
Paul: No. We don't think that way.+++
**minx: It’s been stated in several interviews that the band has two pyromaniacs in the group, but is there anyone who is not so fond of fire?**
Paul: Everybody in the band has a different specialty.
Paul: Each of us is really equally important.
Paul: It doesn'T matter what each does, it could be better when two are on vacation during preparation and actually help us to make a good video this way.+++
**Badeend: Who thinks of the titles of the cd's? Is it some kind of democraty or is it 1 man that decides?**
Paul: We make the decision as a group but it's not really a democracy. More like a board of directors.+++
**Biz: How have older industrial bands (such as Laibach or KMFDM) influenced you?**
Paul: A lot.
Paul: Also Ministry.+++
**minx: What is the oily black/brown liquid that you are all covered with on stage? Is it a fire retardant liquid?**
Paul: No.
Paul: That's a secret.+++
**minx: Why did you wear a paper bag over your head at the concert in Tallin, last November?**
Paul: I wanted to display an Iraqi prisoner.
Paul: There's a photo of a guy behind barbed wire and he's holding his son but he has a bag on his head.
Paul: That photo really had an impact on me.+++
**aeon: Why do you only do signing sessions in London and Paris? Why not in other big cities f Europe or even Germany? Or is anything planned? **
Paul: Actually we've only planned for Paris. London snuck in at the last minute.
Paul: I don't know any more signing sessions details right now.+++
**Badeend: Did you take gitar lessons or did you teach it on your self?**
Paul: Self-taught.
Paul: +++
**minx: I am going to be at the signing in London on Sunday. Do you enjoy doing those types of promotional events or are they just ‘hard work’?**
Paul: Sometimes it's a lot of fun but other times it can be exhausting.+++
**Synthema: It could be said that the "Rosenrot" photos are quite a departure image-wise from what one would expect from the band. Was this something that was decided by the band for a particular reason, or is this the sort of decision that is out of your hands? Does your management or record label have much control over how you present yourselves, or is that left to you?**
Paul: We don't like to repeat ourselves.
Paul: Usually the band always has the last word on these amtters. But weR'e not always interested in all of the details.+++
**Badeend: What is the new instrument you used in the song Te Quiero Puta?**
Paul: Trumpet.+++
**beurgueur: do you think you'll be on stage again when you'll be 60? (like rolling stones for example...)**
Paul: Hopefully somebody will die first. Then we won'T have to worry about that.+++
**minx: Do you do you all do own make-up for the shows?**
Paul: Yes.+++
**OK-River: Will Rammstein play again "Bück Dich" in a concert, or it is something of the past?**
Paul: I wouldn't say no.+++
**blastedop: Rosenrot is so diferent from Reise Reise. How is this possible if these songs are from Reise Reise recording season?**
Paul: I don'T think so. Listen to the whole album.+++
**Benzramm: Are you a sort of scared when flake is going with his boat in the public ? **
Paul: No.
Paul: But it was always Oli last year.+++
**whiskeypapa: Which of your songs invokes the most emotion from you?**
Paul: Seemann.+++
**MsBehaviour: Greetings from Finland and good evening! My question is, you have been playing together as a band for quite a many years now, and there is a big difference in the sound of Herzeleid and the sound of Reise Reise. Does this "evolution" come naturally to you, or do you make conscious decisions as to where to direct your sound? How do you feel about the change?**
Paul: There are some of us who want to stay the same.
Paul: There's some of us who want to always change.
Paul: These parties fight each other and the result is a new album or a black eye.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Have you heard a cover version of Keine Lust made by a Russian guy called Miguel? What did you think about it?**
Paul: Not yet, unfortunately.+++
**Badeend: Do you have a private jet or do you have to rent a plane?**
Paul: When the record company pays, we fly Business. When we have to pay, it'S Tourist class. Sometimes, when the connections are difficult, we rent a litlle jet.+++
**luna: First "Snow White" now "Rose Red". Do the members of Rammstein have a fondness for fairytales?**
Paul: Who doesn't?+++
**Synthema: Do you still enjoy performing live after all these years, or is it more of a chore now?**
Paul: If we didn't like it, we wouldn't have been around so long.+++
**Benzramm: Is there a double meaning in the songtexts of your songs ? **
Paul: Yeah. But the subtleties and double-meanings get lsot in translation.+++
**Badeend: What is your favorite song or cd?**
Paul: Kill Bill 1.+++
**DRS2G: Is "Hilf Mir" inspired by a Heinrich Hoffmann's tale?!**
Paul: Yes.+++
**Synthema: Have you ever felt that the success of Rammstein has been a negative thing for you in your personal life? That it makes it difficult to decide who to trust and who not to?**
Paul: It is difficult to stay normal despite money and success.
Paul: We fight this on a daily battle but we usually win.+++
**Beurgueur: from a viewer: what guitar do you use for your c tuning, and what guitar does richard use for this?**
Paul: I play a Gibson Les Paul and Richard plays ESP guitars.+++
**Benzramm: Did you really go to the mountains for the videoclip "Ohne Dich"?**
Paul: Yes. The was the funnest video of them all.
Paul: The thin air up there was difficult.
Paul: I'm impressed by mountain climbers who go even higher.
Paul: It was difficult for our crew and us.+++
**MafiUndomiel: how did you and richard decided who was going to be lead and who rythm guitars?**
Paul: Good question.
Paul: We're both stubborn.
Paul: It's a fight every time but we're still doing alright up to now.
Paul: Actually, the winner is supposed to be the one who plays the best solo.+++
**Badeend: Do you still have to take guitar lessons to play better?**
Paul: No.+++
**blastedop: Do you visit fansites? How about a Top 10 Fansites in the official page?**
Paul: From time to time.+++
**Badeend: Why did you pick just that girl for the Texas vocal in Stirb nich vor Mir?**
Paul: It was our producer's idea.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Paul, is there any country that you´d like to visit or going on tour, and you haven´t yet? Why?**
Paul: Yes, we would love to go to Turkey, Mongolia, Iraq. We know we've got lots of fans there.+++
**Jenna: Which current musicians (Not youselves, I'm sorry) do you think are creating the best work at the moment?**
Paul: System of a Down, Muse, Snoop Doggy Dog, Eminem, Slip Knot, etc.+++
**Rammsteinizied: Dear Paul, How do you feel about us fans?**
Paul: It's an honour.+++
**Minx: Do you have a favourite guitar part in a particular song you really enjoy?**
Paul: +++
**DRS2G: Will "Rosenrot" be the 2nd single from your new album?!**
Paul: Yes.+++
**Straya: I'm wondering how this question has not come up yet... but, plenty of people are asking if you guys will tour in America and Canada. I don't mean for this to be one of those annoying questions. But, has anything be talked about?**
Paul: I'm certain that we'll tour North and South America with our next album.+++
**rammsteinuk: I read in a recent interview that there were some arguments within the band during the production of 'Mutter'. Have there been any more strong disagreements like this since?
**Paul: Thankfully not. There's always stress when six stubborn people meet, but nothing serious.+++
**minx: Most influential musician on yourself?**
Paul: Laibach, Ministry, Metallica, Nirvana.+++
**blastedop: Did you like Benzin video? Schneider didnt.**
Paul: I don't think it's that bad.
Paul: We've had three really good videos in a row, so it'S hard to keep the standards so high.
Paul: I'm glad that there's some variation, next time we'll improve.+++
**whiskeypapa: First, Reise Reise saw a "country moment" with Los, and now Rosenrot has Te Quiero Puta. If you could make a fusion of Rammstein and any other world music (for fun), what would it be?**
Paul: Yes, I interested in all combinations of things that don'T fit together.+++
**Biz: Are there any downsides to being famous?**
Paul: We're famous but we can still buy groceries in Berlin without bodyguards.
Paul: We've got nothing to complain about.
Paul: Our band is famous around the world but we still have normal lives, thank God.+++
**minty: Paul are you looking forward to the world cup next year? who will win?**
Paul: Yes. It doesn'T look good for Germany right now.
Paul: I hope that a miracle happens.+++
**aeon: Do you hope your music will still be appreciated in many years from now or it doesn't matter to you ?**
Paul: I think that we're relatively timeless.
Paul: But that'S probably what every band thinks and two years later nobody cares ...+++
**DRS2G: Was it good to be directed by Jonas Akerlund?!**
Paul: Yes, he's just a cool guy.+++

Juventas
Juventas: What was their childhood like?
(lakf;lagh. Okay, so this is HELLA Headcanon heavy and I know that's not everyone's cuppa. So, if you don't like this, please just let me know and I can tag it.
Warning: pseudo-organic allusions with some oddness in regards to reproduction. )
Headcanons below cut.
While not the only framekin that inhabited Polyhex, his variation were some of the oldest and most ancient in regards to both reproduction, clade-style, creche-groups, and also the lack of a need for a hotspot. They were originally forced underground as newer and different frametypes began to inhabit the citystate, of which, originally- they were unable to integrate with in regards to frames, coding, or lineage.
Intermingling and interbuilding came later, as more and more of the other mechanisms were able to interface and create with the base-frame batch below. This is important to note, because the base-layer Polyhexians were literally able to "interbreed" with any frame-type. They were also notorious for adopting protoforms or newbuilds that had been abandoned by creators or commissioners. This helped make a varied and mechano-biologically diverse code-group. It's why Jazz has Praxian traits with Iaconian-gold Optics in a base Polyhexian frame.
(Whirl is also a Polyhexian- but he's an upper level, upper-caste with flight-frame coding. This means there's Vosnian in him somewhere, and that he could upgrade to a different flight frame if he wanted to.)
Jazz did have a carrier, and a sire- there's a certain amount if dipmorphism- but that's explained on another headcanon post.
---
To be blunt- Jazz was born in extreme poverty, and raised in extreme poverty. He was not formally schooled, nor was he technically "legal" in the government. He did not have a certification for his frame-date or his actual name until he was well in the Decepticons. Soundwave was able to forge him one for him and his clade-members which gave them a sense of legal legitimacy.
Prior to that, they were legally below the rights of Cyberfauna.
Despite living in the tunnels, and digging through the refuse of the richer mechanisms for food, things to sell or trade, and things to sleep on— his youth wasn't all misery and hunger. His clade were caring, pooling all of their resources within the community to feed and help everyone. When someone got sick, they would scrape up shanix or figure out how to take them to Ratchet's medical clinic in the Dead End.
The Autobot medic doesn't know it, but he's treated Jazz a time or two- before he got his official designation.
It was in his youth that he learned how to run from Enforcers, how to lie, and steal, and cheat. How to pick subspace pockets, how to hold a vibroblade, and how to hide in the shadows so he can't be seen. He also learned how to sing, how to play any instrument he could get his claws on, and how to make someone smile.
His community was his lifeline until Polyhex was nearly destroyed, and until his clade was completely decimated. It's why he's so loyal to it, why he continually looks for people to help, or to spend time with, or to talk to. It is LITERALLY in his coding.
And it's part why being alone is so detrimental to him.

hi!! i've never asked for match-ups before but can you pls do one for me? I'm a 4'11 fem asian with light brown skin, and brown-ish black hair. I'm also quite chubby. I LOVE to read, draw, and take naps, I also love listening to music (esp jazz and electro swing) I can sing but I CAN'T dance. I love wearing dresses too. I'm biromantic ace. I'm sorry this was too long 😂
I have dubbed thee #1 Asian anon since i got this and my friend and I found you adorable im really sorry this took so long really I hope you enjoy this either way..
I match you with our darling chaotic alastor!
Tumblr media
Meeting alastor was purely accidental, you're not even a patient at the hotel. You're friends with angel and do your own thing in hell preferably out of sight from the rest of the crowd not exactly one for being seen.
Angel had dragged you to the hotel so he didn't have to go looking for you and all since he wanted someone to go out with.
Having you wait in the lobby he'd go grab what he needed.
Charlie noticed your presence and the two of you would begin chatting, she'd find you to be adorable though vaggie on the sidelines wondered how on earth you were friends with the porn star.
No matter it'd seem forever not that you minded until angel came back, dragging you out once you bid your goodbyes you'd come face to chest looking up there stood alastor...
In true gentleman fashion he asked if you were alright and if angel was bothering you.
Establishing that no he wasn't and that you both were friends was interesting to say the least.
Ever since then.. Somehow it wasn't unusual to have you around at the hotel now, either deciding to come yourself or angel dragging you it was normal.
Alastor had found himself intrigued by you ever since the little collision you had with him..
You had been alluring to him since the very beginning, from your petite height to curvy figure
What got to him was likely how you looked at him when bumping into him and even since then you never showed or seemed scared of him
There was an innocence you had that he felt compelled to but also wanted to destroy himself..
For some reason he enjoyed your company and found you far more tolerable than the others.
Somehow.. It almost felt natural the two of you ended up becoming close you enjoyed many of the same hobbies and he enjoyed the quietness you provided and how much fun it was to pinch your cheeks and hug you finding you ever so soft.
He liked watching you sleep, finding himself not really.. Needing it himself but he enjoyed closing his eyes once in awhile
He thought there was something intriguing about how calmly you napped in his presence as if he wasn't the most dangerous thing to you
He enjoyed the fact you played instruments even going as far as to have you play something as he sung.
Trying to teach you dance was a pain yet so much fun, if it meant seeing you smile nervously and try your best to get the steps right all whilst he dismissed you stepping on his feet
In his mind.. If he accomplished this then he'd be able to dance with you as he pleases with ease whenever..then it will have been worth it.
It wasn't until one day he'd find you crying due to harassment from other demons that he'd find he felt something.. Far more then simply friendly affection
learning it was over your weight now.. this simply won't do.
He found you be breathtaking to say the least and thought you could be an angel itself
He'd have spent his entire day comforting you to the best of his abilities before disappearing for the night off to make someone suffer.
Since then.. Neither of you exactly expressed your emotions nor said them
You both never felt the need to put a label on it because you both knew, you learned about one another in more ways than one
it got to the point he knew he was yours and you were his without it needing to be said one glance at each other and it was said
Even with this expect there to be jealousy from him, and protectiveness You're the best thing he has in his life, and he's made it very clear.. His little fawn isn't going anywhere any time soon

RWBY Melody 9
🔥Let’s shake this up! Now the category could be anything!!!!🔥
Oscar:(Oh thank god I might be saved)
Nora:Lucky you Jaune. Now you don’t have to sing to Weiss.
Jaune:You really think they won’t pull that card eventually?
Nora:Yeah your right.......
Tyrian:How unfortunate, I would’ve loved to sing to my goddess.
Watts:Tyrian the thought of you singing a love song physically makes me uncomfortable.
Ruby:Who’s next oh great bonefire!!! *points to Weiss*
Weiss:Hey!!!!
Ruby:What!? I want to hear you put you all into a song.
Weiss:Then buy my album.
Jaune:That’s not the same as a live performance. You’re breathtaking in person.
Weiss:*blushing* I.....can’t I just eat in peace!?
🔥I already know the next person to be put to the test...🔥
Flame chains shoot out and wrap themselves up around Whitley. Suddenly the sky’s turn reddish as a portal opens. The chains tug him slowly but with a powerful grip.
Whitley:What!?
Adam:(I thought I had it rough)
Jacques:What is the meaning of this!?
🔥So many of you more stubborn people always refuse singing until force is applied. So I’ll just start with force. The chains shall snap only if the boy sings strong and true🔥
Neo:This place never stops throwing curve balls.
Whitley:*struggling* Couldn’t you have done this to an actual villain.
Ozma:Struggling makes the chains tighter.
Whitley:I’m...realizing that. To go through all this trouble only means one thing?
🔥Sing about your family. The thoughts and emotions you feel about the household. You only get one shot.🔥
Each Schnee focused their attention on the youngest member. He refused to look at his two sisters that genuinely showed concern, man who raised him to rule, or the mother who finally seemed to show true interest.
Whitley:.....
Weiss:Whitley.....
Whitley:Shut up!!!! I don’t need to hear anything you have to say. What any of you have to say! *trembling*
.......
Watts:Hmph, Jacques’s blood through and through.
Whitley:!?!?! And what does that mean?
Watts:Bitter and willing to go down in flames before feeling anything. It’s a bit respectable.
Whitley:You don’t know me.
Cinder:And a kid knows himself? Apparently the only thing you know is what daddy dearest tells you. It’s adorable really.
Weiss and Winter:Leave him alone!
Cinder:Why? He’s destined to fail anyways. He can’t sing a honest song if he can’t form his own opinion. He’s being dragged of right now because he doesn’t know what to sing. Worst part is, no one can tell him or it isn’t honest.
An eerie feeling fell over the crowd. Whitley didn’t say anything. His eyes hidden slightly by his hair as he looked down at the chains that dragged him to unknown danger. No one dared to move. No one, except Weiss and Winter who stood up and stared at their father with unforgiving hatred.
Jacques:What’s with the look?
Winter:Do you have nothing to say for yourself!? Your own son is in trouble, but you don’t even looked phased.
Jacques:What is there to do? Yes I made him obedient, but that’s all. For him not to get out of this situation is a failure of his own making. I never told him to stop thinking.
Winter:No, you just punished him whenever he thought for himself right? Like you did to Weiss; like you did to me? *shaking* What about you mother? Are you just gonna sit there and watch.
Her sunken eyes didn’t meet Winter’s. Instead they flat out ignored her all together. Simply turning away and trying to force the problem out as she grabbed another glass of wine. Everyone watched the soldier slump over in defeat. She looked on towards her brother who himself looked broken as he quietly kept being pulled.
Winter:Why do I always expect anything from you two anymore? I should learn my lesson by now.
Weiss:......Someone start playing music.
Whitley:!?
Everyone:What!?
Penny:But it won’t count if-
Weiss:I don’t want him sing, just listen. No rules say we can’t motivate him. Now can someone-
R_BY JNPR: *playing instruments*
Weiss:I know you can think for yourself right? You’re just scared of going again father; I get that. This is life or death though!
Whitley:I....I’m not like you two. Besides, what do care?
Weiss:*tearing up* Because you’re exactly like us!
*embers erupt violently around her*
Whitley:W...Weiss!?
Weiss: 🎶Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust.
Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust.🎶
🎶Here comes a thought, that might alarm you. What someone said, and how it harmed you.🎶
🎶Something you did, that failed to be charming. Things that you said are suddenly swarming and, oh~
You're losing sight, you're losing touch. All these little things seem to matter so much, that they confuse you.🎶 *grabs his hand*
🎶That I might lose you.....🎶
Whitley:......
Weiss: 🎶Take a moment remind yourself to, take a moment and find yourself. Take a moment to ask yourself if this is how we fall apart?🎶 *grips chains*
Weiss:🎶 But it's not, but it's not, but it's not, but it's not, but it's not.
It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay.
You've got nothing, got nothing, got nothing, got nothing to fear.🎶
🎶I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.🎶*starts pulling*
Winter:...... 🎶Here comes a thought...🎶
Whitley and Weiss:!?!?
Winter:🎶That might alarm me. What someone said, and how it harmed me.
Something I did, that failed to be charming. Things that I said are suddenly swarming and, oh~ I'm losing sight, I'm losing touch.......... 🎶 *pulling chains*
🎶All these little things seem to matter so much, that they confuse me. That I might lose me.🎶 *trembling*
Whitley:.....
Winter and Weiss: 🎶Take a moment remind yourself to, take a moment and find yourself. Take a moment and ask yourself if this is how we fall apart?🎶
🎶But it's not, but it's not, but it's not, but it's not, but it's not. *smiles* It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay.
I've got nothing, got nothing, got nothing, got nothing to fear. I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.🎶
*pulls harder*
Winter and Weiss: 🎶And it was just a thought, just a thought, just a thought, just a thought, just a thought.🎶
🎶It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay, It's okay.
We can watch, we can watch, we can watch, we can watch them go by. From here, from here, from here.🎶
Winter: 🎶Take a moment to think of justflexibility, love, and trust.
Weiss:Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust......🎶 *embers fade*
Whitley:I thought you weren’t gonna sing.
Weiss:I was motivated. Whitley, screw are parents. Screw anyone who tells us what to do.
Winter:I refuse to let father just have his way but only you can decide that.
Jacques:Hmph....
Ironwood:Winter, your hands!
Ruby:Yours too Weiss!
They look down to see them starting to burn from the heat. Even so, they grit their teeth and grip it harder in order to buy as much time as they can. The trios feet slide frustratingly across the sand and get closer to the hellish portal. Their friends try to get closer before they’re promptly stopped by Ozma. The man smiles at them as he points at Willow who sits at a grand piano patiently waiting. Fingers anxiously over the keys.
Jacques:Willow!? What are you doing?
Willow:*tearing up* Whatever my kids need me to do.
Whitley:.......
Jacques:But-
Music starts magically playing the first few keys; catching her off gaurd. The crowd looks back a Whitley who’s eyes are closed as the chains shake. Willow quickly takes over the piano.
Whitley:🎶It's not simple to say, That most days I don't recognize me.
That these shoes and this apron, that place and its patrons...have taken more than I gave them.🎶
🎶It's not easy to know...I'm not anything like I used be.
Although it's true I was never attention's sweet center. I still remember that girl.🎶 *Looks at Winter*
🎶She's imperfect, but she tries. She is good, but she lies.
She is hard~ on herself. She is broken and won't ask for help.🎶
Winter:Hehe
*turns to Weiss*
Whitley:*smiles*🎶 She is messy, but she's kind. She is lonely.....most of the time.
She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie. She is gone, but she used to be mine.🎶 *frowns*
Winter and Weiss:*guilty* Whitley.....
Whitley:🎶It's not what I asked for. Sometimes life just slips in through a back door.
And carves out a person and makes you believe it's all true, and now I've got you.🎶 *glares at Jacques*
🎶And you're not what I asked for. If I'm honest, I know I would give it all back~! For a chance to start over and rewrite an ending or two...🎶 *Looks at Willow*
🎶FOR THE GIRL THAT I KNEW!!🎶
🎶Who'll be reckless, just enough! Who'll get hurt, but who learns how to toughen up!
When she's bruised~ and gets used by a man who can't love.....*sniffling*🎶
🎶And then she'll get stuck and be scared, of the life that's inside her.... *shaking*
Growing stronger each day, 'til it finally reminds her. To fight just a little, to bring back the fiiiiire in her eyes.......🎶
🎶That's been gone, but used to be......🎶
🎶MIIIIIIIINNNEEE~!!!!🎶
*chains shatter*
Whitley:*clenches chest*🎶Used to be.....🎶
🎶MIIIIIIINNNEEEE~.....🎶
Everyone:.......
Whitley:*crying She is messy, but she's kind. She is lonely..... most of the time. She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie.
*wipes face*
🎶She is gone, but she used to be mine.🎶
Willow’s hands slowly lifted off the keys as the song ended. Her eyes filled with sorrow and disgust for herself as she watched her son stare back at her in total agony. No one said a word; nor did the notice that the area was back to normal. Weiss wanted to break the silence but didn’t get the chance as her little brother took a look at all his family members with varying expressions. Then he started to walk off; not turning around once.
Whitley:I need a minute. Just gonna go clear my head.
Weiss:Al...alright.
Winter:......Hey, I hope you know-
Whitley:It’s alright, seriously. *stops walking*
Weiss:It really isn’t. We’re....sorry.
Whitley:......Not your fault. The three of us were all just caught in the crossfire. Still, thank you. I mean that. *walks off*
........
Both sisters go sit back down. This time closer to each other along with their friends.
Jaune:Are you....feeling alright?
Weiss:No, but I will. My mind is made up. I’m gonna sing my heart art, then use my earnings for Whitley.
Ruby:Well then we’ll help anyway we can.
Weiss:*smiles* Thanks.

Miwaku Fukukado-Yamada,
A living, loving accident.
Her parents? Pro Heroes Present Mic and Ms. Joke, when they were both young and stupid.
Her birth was kept hidden from her dad until she was 5, when her quirk showed up and both parents agreed to live close to each other, since Hizashi's dating Aizawa.
Lives with her dads, so it'll be easier to control her quirk.
Quirk: Charming Voice!
She's an enhanced version of Present Mic. She, just like her father, can scream absurdly loudly, whisper incredibly silently, mimic other people's voices and throw her voice. The main difference is that, whenever she sings, she can make others do what she wants, like a siren!
The singing works better if she has the instrumental harmony, though. If she doesn't have it, she'll just control anyone who listens, including allies.
Story:
She's a big, big mess.
And she's loud, to say the least.
She wants to be like her Mom and her Dad. Loud, funny, caring and powerful. It works, most of the time. It's who she likes to be, but sometimes... she realized that she's more of a copycat than Monoma. Why does she want to be like someone else? Why doesn't she want to be whatever she should be-, whoever she should be?
Is she just a Present Mic #2? Is that really who she is? Is that really who she wants to be? She's not Present Mic-- she'll never be, and she knows it. But... why does she want to be him so bad?
She'll have some existential crises every now and then.
Mostly, she'd force herself to be brave and be like her parents, always with a big, bright smile on her face, and be there for whoever needs her, like her two (former) best friends, Hitoshi Shinso and Neito Monoma.
She was happy, just... confused. She wasn't sure if that's who she was.
One day, after a talk with her friends, she decided that she wasn't just a female Present Mic. She decided that she was going to be better.
She took on parts of everyone she held dear, and blended all of those parts together to form... something.
She's a 5'5'' blonde girl with bright green eyes, who wears her short hair up like her Pa, with two bangs falling in the sides of her face like her "Uncle", wears a lot of black like her Dad, along with some shiny colours here and there like her Mom. She'll also use her body to her advantage, like her "Aunt."
That was, she decided, her "default form". She'd wear that big ass mask in front of other people - that is, the media, her fans, other celebrities, etc etc -, and would slowly start to be herself, experimenting and doing crazy stuff to find out who she's meant to be. And of course, her family's 100% supportive of her.
So don't worry if in one day she's dressing all "goth" and in the other she's dressing all "cutie". She's just doing Miwaku stuff.
She likes being Miwaku-y.
Jobs:
She's a celebrity at 16!
Started her singing career small, at 8 years old, in her Pa's radio station. Eventually she started embracing her siren side more and more, and combined with her popularity as the daughter of two Pros, a lot of people knew her name.
She started working at a studio (with her parents' supervision and consent) where she'd sing covers of reeeeeeally old songs, from the quirkless days, and she'd use both her lovely voice, convenient quirk and pretty face to make people love it.
She dragged Shinso and Monoma to it too, and soon they were known as an inseparable trio. The three of them are really famous, each with their own share of fans, with their own fanbase (can you believe it!?), and need to hide when going out in public. Monoma is the hardest to hide, though.
They use their fame to spread their stories, one with a "(mysterious) villain's quirk", other with a "useless quirk", and other with a "dangerous quirk". They want to be symbols, to make people realize those labels are stupid. They can't erase all quirk discrimination from the world, sure, but they're trying.
They're also in a polygamous relationship with each other <3. Their fanbase is actually really accepting of it, nerfing the assholes who said that was wrong. They love their fans.
Relationships:
- Emi Fukukado: Her mother. She calls her (O)"Kaa-san" or "Mom".
She loves her mom! She knows how hard she worked to raise her alone for 5 years. Although she's not so close to Kaa-san than she is to Tou-san, she loves Emi just as dearly and would fight to death for her Mom.
When she was younger, Emi used to sing her a song, a really old song to make her sleep. It's called Everything Stays. She knows that song by heart.
- Hizashi Yamada: Her (biological) father. She calls him (O)"Tou-san" or "Pa".
She loves him so much! He's just like Kaa-san said he was! He's fun and caring and loving and he's just so nice! He knows what is like to slip and scream a little bit too loud every now and then too. He's also really accepting of who she (thinks she) is, her sexuality, her general self, and she's very thankful for that.
- Shouta Aizawa: She can't decide if he's her second Mom or her second Dad. She calls him "Dad", but will tease him with "Mom".
He's her stone. He's the one that she relies on when she feels like she's gone a little too far. She likes how he shows how much he loves her constantly, just subtly. Almost every day she'll wake up with a few sets of clothes laying in her closet, waiting to see which one she'll choose. She never picks any of the sets he separates for her, but a part of each.
He's not the best with fashion, but he tries his hardest.
- Nemuri Kayama: Her Auntie <3
Oh really, she's the cliché Aunt that'll always ask, "Oi, when you gonna show me your boyfriend?", and Miwaku will answer laughing in polygamist.
She's really fun to hang out with, and Miwaku got some of her flirting techniques with Nemuri.
- Yagi Toshinori: Her caring Uncle <3
He's what she called a "plot convenience". He was her mom's neighbour, and one day when she really needed a babysitter for her 4-year-old kid and couldn't find one, she basically begged on her feet for him to do it for her.
They absolutely loved each other. Whenever he could, he'd offer to stay with her. Whenever he wasn't present, she'd ask her Mom if she could call him over. During this time, he was her biggest father figure, until her actual dads came and she ended up putting him in the "Uncle" segment.
He's already offered One for All to her, but she refused. She was already dying thinking she was supposed to be Present Mic or Ms. Joke or Eraserhead, she didn't need nor want another label to worry about.
- Neito Monoma: Former best friend, current boyfriend <3
They met by accident. But boy, what great an accident that was.
She met Neito first, when they were 6. They were classmates, and other kids didn't want to play with him because they thought he'd steal their quirks. She called bullshit on them and adopted him as her best friend.
They loved each other (as friends), they were inseparable. Eventually he was offered to train with her under Yagi's hero training, and they found out something amazing.
Neito's quirk analyzes a person's DNA factor via touch, and through that, it copies their quirk factor from the DNA. Therefore, by touching any DNA source from a person, Neito could copy it. In smaller words, he could copy a person's quirk by touching a strand of their hair (and other body fluids too, but that's too gross), and taking that hair to the battlefield grants him an enormous amount of quirks to choose from.
He's really smart, because if he wasn't, he probably would've died or become an accidental Noumu.
He trains speed and his quirk with Yagi, and always finds a way to get people's hair strands without them noticing, making them think he just straight up has dozens of quirks.
Also, he, Shinso and Miwaku are dating. He loves his two idiots. (Not that he isn't one, though...)
- Hitoshi Shinso: Former best friend, current boyfriend <3
Polygamy is a fucking dream.
They met when she and her Dad were walking to get an ice cream. A group of kids, clearly older than him, decided that they didn't wanna risk their leader's little brother's safety with his "villainous quirk", and were very close to cutting his tongue off.
Thankfully her Dad came and saved him. After the "kids" were sent to the police, she insisted that he should get an ice cream too. They didn't get ice cream. But she and 'Toshi did become friends. Inseparable, they'd learn overtime.
She wasn't even slightly afraid of his quirk. Hers was similar to his, anyway. They bonded over the fact that people were afraid of their voices. 'Toshi's parents are really nice, and you can't imagine how happy they were when they found out he made his very first friends.
They NEVER imagined what opportunities that one girl would bring. Because of her, Hitoshi was a celebrity! He had countless people who loved him! He trained with pro heroes!
He never showed anyone what his quirk is, so he's still set on becoming an underground hero. And thanks to her and her parents, he's sure he'll-- no, that they'll make it.
Curiosities:
Her favorite colors change everyday with her mood, but she definitely has a thing for pinks, yellows and blues.
Thanks to her Pa (and her work), she's already visited a good plenty of countries.
Her favorites were United States, Brazil and Portugal.
She'll usually sing in English or in Brazilian Portuguese thanks to that.
She has ear piercings! She also forced Shinso and Neito to get some too. Shinso was the hardest to convince, tho.
She loves sweets, especially ice cream.
Her favorite songs are the ones that allow her to scream reeeeeeally loud and still keep harmony.
She has a pet cat of her own! Cloud was chosen by her in the pet shop. She's a white cat with big ass blue eyes.
Her room is HUGE. Why wouldn't it be, after all? Basically her whole family are heroes and she even got a paying job at 8 years old. She's fucking rich.
She has a hell lot of plushies. Most were gifts from Toshi and Neito. <3
She wears a bright pink bow on her head when she's in a good mood.
She may or may not be aware of the existence of alternate universes.
Also, @boom-box-live and @cake4ninja owo

Attila - Villain
Tumblr media
As with any Attila project, it's probably easiest to separately discuss the instrumental facet of the music apart from the douchy bravado of frontman Chris Fronzack that often carries it. Attila has never really been anything special for deathcore from an instrumental standpoint, but they've at least been decent enough at keeping up with the advances in production that have proven to bring the most out of bands playing in that genre. For the past two or three years, it has seemed that the optimal stylistic and production-related approach to deathcore has been discovered and made wide use of, and Attila do use it here too. The nu metal-influenced simplicity of Attila's approach to deathcore has been made all the more muscular by the increased thickness of the bass tones, the crunchy clarity of the down-tuned guitars, and thunderous booming of the drums all mixed into deathcore's optimized presets. What it highlights though, is how dependent Attila are on their production, and when they don't really sound much heavier than all the rest of the deathcore out there now, their compositional creativities don't really make up for the ground they've lost. The short, one-note slamming of the opening track, "Perdition", quickly spends all the novelty of the band's production on a flashy first impression that they don't really ever ascend past on the rest of the album. There are a few, few, catchy moments on here, like the gang-vocal-led chorus of "It Is What It Is" or the sick, punchy opening riff of "Toxic". But for the vast majority of the album, the band just flounder though unimaginative nu metal riffs and deathcore's most typical grooves and breakdowns.
As far as the vocals go, Chris Fronzack has always been a perfectly capable deathcore vocalist with plenty of tangible hedonistic attitude drawn from modern hip hop to give his delivery a signature douchiness, as well as incorporating other techniques to switch up the usual deathcore growl/scream/bleh formula, and on the songs "Bad Habits" and "Subhuman" he does dip his toes into a little bit of that raspy melodic singing that Oli Sykes has made so popular. The results are satisfactory and certainly proof that Fronzack can indeed perform that technique well enough, but the melodies themselves are nothing mind-blowing, and they're certainly not fitting amid the rest of the album's remorseless, youthful, energetic indulgence, nor is it enough to spice up the album's overall instumental typicality. This album, and this band really would be nowhere without that notorious man at the microphone though, and his presence here certainly steals the spotlight again on this album, even if it's for all the wrong reasons.
Frontman Chris Fronzack's reputation certainly precedes and prevails over Attila's music, and for as long as I've heard anything from Attila, it's been beneficial to them, because I sure as hell couldn't see them raising their head up from the vast sea of deathcore without Fronz' bold presence and repeated prodding at his detractors. And for the past few albums now especially, Fronz' persistence as a thorn in the side of his critics with his defiant, bragadocious, and confrontational attitude has been the focus of Attila's music. And with Villain here, Fronz is simply exuding the persona he has long come to terms with as being exactly that for the metal community. As much as Fronz' rebellious charisma has built Attila's foundation (even if it is on hate-clicks), what he does from album to album really isn't all too variant. He and Attila have always been about booze, drugs, sex, partying, and flexing all in the name of fun and sticking a middle finger up to anyone trying to police them. While I know Fronz does genuinely live and love (as far as I can tell) the fast lane lifestyle he portrays in his lyrics, I sure hope he's hamming it up for the cameras on this one because if there's one thing that's different about this album from previous Attila albums, it's how hard Fronz leans into the truly villainous persona he's thrived on. And it's pretty ugly at a few spots, the most notable of which is the lyrics of the song, "Still About It", a callback to their 2012 album, About That Life. The song's intro features a play on Trump's infamous pussy-grabbing quote, with Fronz going for "cunt" instead with seemingly no added irony beyond what the album and the band's reputation already establish. Fronz goes on to basically detail how much of a sex addict he is, with tons of degradation and objectification of the women of his sexual pursuit thrown in as well. The song "Manipulate" isn't too much better though, with Fronz just expressing his will to outdo whoever he's addressing with this song in a cycle of exactly what the song is titled for.
The rest of the album's lyricism is basically the lyric trash that wannabe SoundCloud rappers spam on hip hop instrumentals, which is what Attila has always done, but it seems so much less fun this time around. And where it would have been fun, it just seems stale at best or unnecessarily intentionally mean spirited at worst. Like this Fronz seems less like the life of the party and more like the loud annoying asshole that wants to turn the kickback into a rager, calls everyone a pussy, gets way too pushy with the girls there, and kills the vibe by trying too hard to go hard and turning everyone's party mood off. Like that kind of drunk buffoon with the buzz wearing off near the end of the night, Fronz gets a little bit introspective on a few songs on here like "Subhuman" and "Bad Habits", asking himself why he's stuck in the vicious cycles he's in, but like a true drunk with no intention of actually mending his flaws he never comes to any conclusions, or he shies away from coming to them. He just moans and drums up a little pity party for anyone with any patience left for him to reluctantly oblige to and comfort him.
On this album Fronz leaned a little too hard on the actual villainous aspects of his real-life or (hopefully) stage character like sex addiction, vindictiveness, and degradation of women. Rather than coming off as the exuberant, loveable party animal that just wants to get everyone to stop taking themselves so seriously for a minute, he just comes across as an abusive, selfish asshole more concerned with trying to maintain his reputation as a badass party king than with actually trying to make the party fun for everyone around him. And based on the blandness of the music backing him, it seems like his bandmates eren't really feeling the vibes he's putting out there either. This album doesn't really feel like it's as much of a party as it is a drunken diatribe from Fronz about what a big shot he is compared to everyone else, how much pussy he supposedly scores, and how much you should be jealous of him. Like anyone actually doing that shit at a kickback, I can't help but think that for Fronz too it's coming from a place of insecurity. His band split from Sharptone Records after just one album and released this one independently to almost no hype; I only heard about it the day or two before. With deathcore becoming less lucrative and with more creative bands coming onto a level playing field with Attila at the production booth, and with his rebelious bad-boy shtick growing stale, it seems that Fronz has seen the same writing on the wall Fred Durst saw after Limp Bizkit began to come down from their peak. And now that Fronz has fully revealed the selfishness of his motives all along as he tries to party harder and harder in the futile attempt to keep his buzz up and his band's buzz alive, it'll be an interesting, although predictably ugly sight to see how this band handles their numbered days.
Winding down buzz/10
