i’m sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask but it’s my first year voting and idk who to talk to,, abt that voting thing you reblogged,, is it still worth voting even if i don’t vote for typical red or blue parties? the candidate i want to vote for runs for the green party which is literally almost unheard of in the us but with how strictly red vs. blue politics seem to be here i’m not sure if it’s even worth voting for the person i actually want to have my vote bc i know they won’t compete with the blue party. as much as i hate both the blue and red leading options i would much rather contribute to the blue party winning than the red, but i don’t actually want to vote for b***n. but i just don’t want to waste my vote on a party that can’t compete and contribute to t***p getting elected, like im not sure what to do. i know who i actually want to vote for but i feel like actually voting for them is a wasted vote and it’ll do more harm then good even though the other options aren’t great either
again i’m sorry if this is like a completely inappropriate question, feel free to just delete this, but this two-party-only thing is so fkn frustrating. i want to give my vote to the person i feel actually deserves it but most people i know don’t even realise that there are other political parties aside from red v blue so instead of creating a situation where people can vote for who they want it’s people have to vote for option A even though they suck because option B is SO MUCH WORSE and option C isn’t even viable because A needs as many votes to beat B as possible like …..what is the average person even supposed to do?? does this even count as democracy???

To put it to you simply, no, it is not worth voting third party. That is an emotional vote and I'm sorry, but your feelings do not matter. I don't care how bad you feel voting for Biden. You know your third party candidate is not going to win. I still blame every single blue voter who wrote in Bernie for Hillary's loss in 2016.
Splitting the blue vote means red win. That is just how it works in this country and you need to learn that now. You need to stop treating your vote like an endorsement of Biden's policy and start treating it like the only scrap of power you have in this fucking country, because other than voicing your complaints to your representatives, that really is it.
Oh, and speaking of Biden--the House rejected the $17.6bn aid bill to Israel after Biden threatened to veto it. I strongly recommend you start getting your political news somewhere other than Tumblr or TikTok. Constant public pressure on Biden and his administration is working. Do you think Trump would give a rat's ass about what the public wanted him to do? Do you think Republicans would for a second consider pulling back on a war they are desperate to escalate?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm not saying it isn't a shitty situation. I AM saying that your favorite candidate is not going to win, and I'm even saying that your favorite candidate will put us at risk for a Trump victory. We have a two viable parties because that is the reality of our socioeconomic political system. Rs and Ds are the only choices available because they are the only parties with significant financial power. Investors back Rs and Ds because they know Rs and Ds will give them a return on their investment. Green party candidates, and any other third party candidates, will not win because they do not stand to benefit investors.
It's shitty. It's unfair. It's unethical and immoral. But it's the world we live in. It's the world YOU live in. You have to play the political game whether you like it or not.
So play it smart.

i was so excited. that one is on me.
movie so so confusing. i thought i was in for like an absurdist comedy, but it was like forced feminist political commentary?? do NOT get me wrong on this one okay, i have seen so many people get torn to SHREDS for saying that they didn't like this movie bc they hate #girlpower. i am not one of those people. but idk abt u guys but i feel like its not that hard a concept to have a good female empowerment movie without just telling us straight in our faces that its female empowerment ALL. THE. TIME.. felt like i was being spoon fed with a forklift. theres this really cool special tactic called… subtlety.. wow its a crazy thing. they spent so much time shoving a message down my throat they.. forgot what it was.??? like they lost track of what they wanted to say like a million times over it was annoying. they said so much to mean so little. messaging so muddled the barbies literally interfered with a fucking government election and got away with it. they didn't want the kens to have any power so they took them away from the pink house and voted without them to put themselves back as the only leaders. the fuck barbie. i feel like the solution in barbieland was not to just fucking reinstall the matriarchy but instead work together as one to create an idyllic society where the barbies and the kens can live side by side without one towering over the other. the kens were not being horridly mistreated b4, but i understand wanting to be treated better. and i could have some mild sympathy for them, but as soon as they took over barbieland they just treated women like shit making them doing everything for them. and yes that is no good, but its interesting to me that the barbies did not take this as a lesson at all?? like they did not look back and really go, 'huh,, maybe you should ALSO have rights bc being seen and treated as inferior is not okay.' no they took it as an opportunity to shove more fucking glitter coated instagram infographic #positivity down my throat. i understand that this was kinda the point, to be like look! this is what its like and the 'just be yourself' solution means nothing in the end! just like the real world! but why would i want that? why would i want a backwards version of a fucking corrupt system that doesn't work? it doesn't work this way; flipping it, well guess what it still doesn't work. this is fucking barbieland, i WANT them to all be happy and equal in the end! i don't want to think about how awful everything is! its a fantasy world, why would you want to model it after the horrible deep sucking never ending vacuum into the black hole that is the real world? its my barbies and kens (and allen) and damnit i think that they should be happy. also side note, how tf did the kens brainwash the barbies??? like the fuck was that? to me that implies that the barbies also had the kens brain washed to be only accessories. like whoevers in power just has control over the other group? this movie makes everyone like a fucking monster.

out of all the 'shameful' barbies i was actually most excited to see the inclusion of video cam barbie!!! i wanted that bitch soooo bad.
laughed a handful of times, as fucking painful as the depression barbie ad was i laughed really loud at the bbc pride and prejudice joke. i thought the godfather joke was also very funny. some of the doll jokes were funny, but its like okay guys this was low hanging fruit to begin with lets not repeat them like ten times over. the n-sync allen joke also got me. i know i laughed a bit in the theater… but as of right now i'm drawing a blank on standout jokes. that says smth huh?
i like the big ken dance number when they went to like abstract reality zone. that was good. now just remake this movie but like that. it needed to be more loose and fun, alter reality for a dance number! do that!! i want some goddamn old hollywood type of just nonsense sequences. the song was not good tho tbh.
costumes and set were… objectively very good! do NOT get me wrong. the team behind it is very talented and they did an awesome job! however. they went for more of a 'generic barbie' look for the barbies costumes and for barbieland. which to me ended up looking more haunting..? idk WHY but the lack of actual dolls just chilling around made the few real dolls stand out like sore thumbs. that and also it felt like edward scissorhands type of suburbia. complete pastel hellscape. the thought of living in a 'perfect' pink pastel world where everything is the same everyday forever and if ur slightly different you literally get banished forever is horrifying. wheres all the girl power huh?? what happened to women helping women??? nope, you look kind odd?? sorry we hate you forever.
the ending was also just a hot hot garbage fire. whhyyyy did barbie decide she no longer wanted to be a barbie……? i feel like i missed that part since we were so focused on ken. oh so its bc she saw just a fuckinh home video slideshow?? yeah okay whatever just roll credits so i can leave now pls. a gynecology joke. really?
feminist movies do need to be made. but why with barbie? she has never been a feminist icon. this isn't her domain. she's just barbie. and trying to attach real life feminist issues to a fucking plastic doll to be bought and sold, to be commodified doesn't sit right with me. shes not meant to be this complex guys, and i feel like they just completely fumbled on that. to me barbie is just there. you play dress up with her, take her on fun adventures, play with your friends, you don't pick up a barbie doll and go 'wow i would just love to have this woman be groped and then come to terms with the real world and its many problems'. thats stupid. i was in for a fun little roadtrip adventure movie with barbie and her friends. and this was just too much.
this movie was not fun and whimsical to me. it was drab, it was horrifying, it was depressing. i wanted to have a brief escape from reality, but instead i was faced with the same atrocities of everyday life but hot pink and glitter coated. which only added to the awful feeling of 'it will be this way forever.' it wasn't a silly movie about being a woman and what that means, it was a faux women power movie made by massive corporations trying to tell us that they are hip and relatable and that you should buy so much merchandise. it was just one big reminder that capitalism will live forever and it will only get worse because everyone just eats it up if its brightly colored.

I work with a lot of 60+ National/ACT supporters, who were very vocal in being anti-Labour and Greens. There's this bitch who runs the meat department who says Māori shouldn't have the rights as they do now because they signed away the country to the whites and that it is her constitutional right to not speak the language.
Should I be very vocal about being anti-National/ACT? Or would I get into trouble?

Honestly I am not the best poised to give you day to day advice about politics in your job bc I don't know any of the minutiae of your work environment, so whatever I say can't take into account any your day-to-day context.
You can say whatever the fuck you want about politics - and even openly disagree with people! - and you cannot be fired for it. Being open about your political leanings at work legally can't get you into trouble but just because it's illegal mightn't stop your employer from making life pretty difficult for you. Employers can't discriminate or dismiss you for your political beliefs! If they do, that's against the law BUT the system relies on you reporting your employer for doing naughty shit. It's a long and difficult process, so lots of employers think they can get away with things because often people don't report them or the process takes so long they give up. Essentially, you're legally protected but not in any really meaningful ways.
For me, I have had a couple of jobs where my employer and many other coworkers have been right-leaning assholes voters who were completely unaware that the horrible, awful, poor and gay people they love to hate on were actually me, and I was right there. For the most part, I chose to literally walk away from political discussions whenever they happened, which works a charm. I also never brought it up myself because it would make me unspeakably angry to argue with people who were incapable of listening to reason instead of scaremongering.
It absolutely sucks ass to work with people who think that the nats and ACT are anywhere near nice people who have good intentions because they are categorically not, and have shown us that time and time again. If you feel really strongly about being openly anti-terrible parties, then absolutely go for broke! But also remember that being open about your political beliefs isn't necessary to be a supporter of your chosen party!
It's also worth pointing out that even while things are Very Bad, they're not completely hopeless! There isn't a massive majority held by the nats/ACT coalition at this stage, and special votes haven't been counted yet and they typically boost the left. If that's the case, then it's likely to actually be an INSANELY narrow margin for whichever coalition wins. If it's nats/ACT then that means that most of their bullshit right-wing fuckwittery won't go through because they'd need every single member of their party AND coalition to agree with the policy.
TL;DR your work can't technically fire you over politics, but if they do then it's up to you to kick up a stink about it. Do what makes your heart happiest and don't give up hope for a more progressive NZ!

I hate how much tactics go into voting, like obviously in the US with a two party system you often have to vote for the lesser of two evils, so you can’t vote for any of those tiny third parties bc that’s essentially throwing your vote away and that sucks
But a more party system doesn’t mean you can always just freely vote whoever you want, like I’m still contemplating the actual chances of the different parties I like to actually get to power.
Example: Next year are general elections in germany. And there are three parties I might be convinced to vote for, who have wildly different chances of getting to power:
Die Grünen (the greens) are projected to gain a lot and become the second strongest party. They are pretty left, but often critizised for not sticking to their ideals and allowing, for example, a highway to be built through an old forest, or for some of their leaders driving high emission cars, which is directly in opposition with their name and main topic - y’know. Being green.
They’re the sensible choice to vote for, bc if everyone who is somewhat left voted for them, they might be able to get more votes than the CDU and maybe we’d get an all left coalition. Or even if they’re just second strongest, the more votes they get, the more strength they’ll have in a coalition with the CDU (CDU is pretty centrist, generally shitty, losing votes every election but like all old people vote for them so they still always end up strongest).
Die PARTEI (literally the Party) is a satire party, that in recent years has become more and more serious, while regular parties seemed to become more and more ridiculous. They have two people in the european parliament (there’s no 5% hurdle there) and they’re doing a lot of good work, calling politicians out on their bullshit and more importantly reporting on what’s happening in a beautiful and very transparent - for example reporting on how the different german politicians voted on key issues. Their policies - the ones that aren’t satire - are really good and very left and socialist. They’re also in a number of small town parliaments and often run the show in student parliaments in universities, since they are hugely popular with young people.
Voting for them would likely be a throwing my vote away move, since they’re unlikely to get past the 5% hurdle and actually make it into the german parliament, but it’s still tempting since if they did make it in? They’d be able to fuck shit up so beautifully, which is exactly what those dumbass politicians in the government need.
Then there’s Die Linke (literally the Left, yes I know, so imaginative). They’re the furthest left of the established parties (supporting such sexy concepts as universal basic income), usually make it into the parliament no problem, but also usually just get between 5 and 10 percent. They’re unlikely to get into the government, unless in a coalition with the other two established leftist parties Grüne and SPD (i’m not voting SPD they’ve never once stood up for any of the things they supposedly believe in, they’re currently ruling with the CDU and doing pretty much as they’re told by them all the time. Also they’re projected to lose big so there’s no point).
Voting for Die Linke would essentially be hoping for a situation in which the combined left gets a majority (not super likely no matter how much I’d hope so) and then give them more power within that coalition by giving them my vote.
So yeah if I was just going by “which party do I vibe with the most?” it would be an easy choice to vote Die PARTEI. As it is, I’ll probably vote green, just bc they’re the most likely to actually get into the government, even though I vibe with them the least out of these three.
(fyi, the way german politics work is, any party that gets more than 5% of total votes makes it into the parliament and then usually several parties that have more than half the seats between them will form a coalition. A minority coalition is also possible, but we haven’t had one of those in a while. Also usually it’s accepted that whichever party gets the most votes will be part of the government, so unless the CDU somehow doesn’t get the most votes a majorly left government is unlikely)
so yeah it’s like.... logic or heart y’know? i hate it. just let me rank my choices or smth, come on.

so im having a mental breakdown and there's no one i can rant to atm so im doing it here bc i can
i usually HATE pe but today it was actually kinda enjoyable? there was a buff British lady leading the exercises and they were easier today so i had fun (??) what sucks is i was in a good mood and now idek. it's a leadership class so we usually just come up w ideas to help the school or community, they were talking ab doing a video to thank some essential workers which was cool w me until my (very white) teacher brings up thanking police officers. and some (white) classmates start agreeing with her. i told her that we shouldn't do that and she got all confused and was like why not? (for reference there arent many poc in that class but i am one of them) some kids just said that there was "controversy" around the police and this bitch REALLY JUST WENT 'oh i had no idea' BITCH. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW. and some kid had the audacity to go "it's that blm shit" ABSOLUTELY NOT. FUCK YOU. and she went 'well okay, let's just vote then' meanwhile all these kids were just going 'police aren't bad' (i said no, most arent bad people but they stand up and support a corrupt system) 'we should respect them for the crimes they've stopped!' (and u should also recognize the people that they've hurt who weren't committing any crimes) 'i have family that are police, are u saying they're bad people?!' (i do too, i cant speak for ur fam but even if they arent 'bad people' they continue to contribute to a bad system) and all they had left was 'but they wake up like super early and go home super late' (if that's the only thing u can think of that's good ab police then there is a problem). anyway, all the white people in the class voted that we should thank them but my teacher just put a question mark with including them. another problem i have is when someone suggested thanking teachers, my teacher said she didnt want yo bc "some teachers arent zooming sooo idk if i even want to thank them lol" AND YOU'RE OKAY WITH THANKING THE POLICE. i stg if people try me like this again im done.

* When and what made you decide to make a LITG blog?
I didn’t choose the blog life, it chose me. Jokes aside, I don’t really know, it wasn’t a plan or anything, I remember I joined tumblr to find quotes and shit, then idk how happened that I came across the choices community and they mentioned LITG and I downloaded the game and I really liked it, it took me AGES to take active part in both communities, I would mostly look bc I was too shy to make comments or post anything, but hey, I’m thankful that I did bc I’m having a lot of fun here despite the discourses and the drama.

Yeeeeeah I appreciate the effort made by FB but it’s not my cup of tea, it looks like the Kim Kardashian game or like the Kendall and Kylie game (don’t ask how I know this👀) but hey, if they give me the drama and the flavor that I’m craving I’m gonna try really hard to look past the art design.

Not really, I usually follow my own game since there’s no point system or anything...

Why didn't they want you to graduate
I swear they had it out for me ejnfbbhfj but I missed a lot of school my junior year (because my dad was very sick and also died) and they truly just did not care lmao and they were dead set on making me retake the 11th grade and my mom was not having it!!!! and then my senior year I had to get surgery and miss school and they made such a big fucking deal and again my lovely mother went INNNN on them lmfao and she forced them to get me extra help in math so I would pass it lmfao

from the ages of like 12 to 19 i always joked that australia should adopt the US system of optional voting bc i hated the idea of compulsory voting. compulsory voting meant having some type of responsibility and I didn’t want that bc “why the fuck would anyone trust me with that, when i can’t even decide what to eat for dinner??!!” (mostly bc i wanted to seem edgy or “no-bullshit... of which i now realise I was neither.... i was just stupid) or i’d joke that i’d become a jehovah’s witness so i’d never have to vote bc they’re “conscientious objectors” so it gave me another reason to avoid responsibility and making choices. i also think i believed that the US style of optional voting was better bc i watched so much american tv back then.... that i just flat-out believed everything american was amazing, cool and made more sense somehow.
but man, when the liberals (the main aussie right-wing party for my american followers... theyre basically the aussie GOP/conservatives/republicans) literally fucking suck.... bc a good bunch of their policies are aimed at making the rich richer, rather than actually helping middle-class or poor/marignalised aussies... and we literally have a senator that attends nazi rallies (ok this guy isn’t in my state’s- new south wales- parliament but still).... aussie politics is fucking Y I K E S right now. and if i can vote out the more yikes parties and their godawful policies- ie. the liberals and their preferenced parties like one nation- then that’s fucking great.

like, i get that the american political system and basically all the candidates fucking suck but can y’all please just do some research, hold your nose, and vote for whomever you think is least terrible? because like, it’s better to elect someone who’s the regular amount of terrible than it is to elect someone who’s Ultra Mega Terrible. by all means it’s ok to criticize all of the bastards and you should do so and i have problems w all of them too but like,, refusing to vote bc you hate them all isn’t going to fix the problem. it’s not going to have any benefit whatsoever. no one is gonna be like “oh my, all these people refused to vote, guess we better change things!” all refusing to vote accomplishes is that it allows republicans to pick whomever the fuck they’d like to be in office. please just select whichever candidate you think is least bad and vote for them and then once the election is over, protest whenever they do something shitty. you can do Both. you can vote and then also do protests and direct action and everything. like nothing is stopping you from doing both it is in fact more effective to do both because a candidate who’s further left and beholden to you as part of their base is at least slightly more likely to cave to your demands than a republican is and is also less likely to make things Even Worse on purpose

I kinda wish our tribe would lose just so I could see where the lines are tbh. Also I have a bad feeling that at a swap/merge our tribe is gonna be picked off because we’re going in with the most numbers and on a base level that’s dangerous; however, I do think it could be deeper than that because of the preconceived relationships and I’m looking forward to seeing who goes home tonight and where we go from here.
This round was a little wild for me. Austin has been my fave since the beginning and we finally created an alliance. We both liked eve so that was easy but we wanted one more person. This is where things got a little complicated. Him and eve both liked isaac but honestly i wasnt feeling isaac and love pat. But i didnt want to push too hard so we just went ahead with isaac.
BUT we also talked to pat and will have ANOTHER alliance with him (so austin, pat and me). SO basically im working with everyone right now except keaton. Im glad our tribe has been killing it because that means no TC wooo
We tribe swapped so that is fun. It's always interesting to have a switch up. I have still yet to be screwed by a tribe swap in my entire history of playing ORGs which is something I am happy with. This is one of the best iterations of a tribe I can think of actually.
I can forge a closer bond with Xander and Dylan, because now if we lose I won't need to vote one of them out, they become my core 3. So, right after the swap I made an OG Malakoff chat with myself, Xander, and Dylan. I just wanted the immediacy to show that I was serious in wanting to stick to that, which I am.
I have communicated several times that I want to work with Isaac, so ideally Austin will go in the event that we lose. I feel bad because he is a sweetheart, but he doesn't fit into my strategy, and if anyone understands game being game, he does.
I love my new tribe??? Not only is nick still here so that gives me a safety net, the sammy I like is here. Pat is here. No idea who eve is but that’s okay too. I’m loving this. I have been busy the past couple of days so this challenge being a endurance/speed comp was a struggle. And it looks like my team didn't do much. To help... It's fine we can get out one of these other two dead weights. Speaking of them. Im glad the swap merged me with two allies but the other two just suck to talk to... And that's coming from me .. Jess knows what I'm talking about. Anyways I don't want them here and want them gone. As for my allies. I like Jared a lot we are getting along and enjoying ourselves. He's definitely the one I trust most in this game and hopefully it gets me to merge where I can start phase 2 and hopefully get far. Dylan is fine .. he's offline a lot but he's from old tribe so like it helps.

This is a good group and I’m glad they did rlly well in the challenge. I love this kind of thing but I wasn’t able to constantly be on my phone all weekend bc that’s rude :( so I’m glad it worked out. Hoping the tribe swap works out in our favor and Xander jared and Dylan stay together for the vote. Idk if Isaac and jared are friends??? I hope Isaac leaves because he knows I’m a ‘threat’ in games and because I think Ashley yelled at him once. Idk who Austin is but Ashley likes him. But idk how likely that is if Isaac and jared have a connection. As long as jared stays safe ifgaf who leaves.
Yowza. We got absolutely wrecked in the challlenge. I don't WANT to lose any challenges, but I believe in the long run I should be happy to take this L.
As another way to show my loyalty, I decided to give my idol progress in the chat with Xander and Dylan. I noticed Dylan never reciprocated so that gives me 1 reason to be wary.
Then, Dylan posted a very inappropriate joke in the tribe chat in reference to Survivor Thailand, and the word "rape" was used, so that was the 2nd thing to make me uneasy.
At first, Dylan and Xander had no opinion on who to vote, so I voiced that I would like to vote Austin- then Dylan remembered who Isaac is and said "he can go." I eventually got things back on track to target Austin, but Dylan better be careful- it's 3 strikes and you're out with me. I have a good relationship with Isaac so I wouldn't be surprised to see Dylan go if we lose again.
Day 9 on the survivor tribe. My thoughts are about toes and only toes. They are consuming my entire day. I exist merely to think of toes.

Okay so I’m just gonna throw down some of my thoughts right now since I’ve been very quiet in confessionals.
I fucking hate these small ass fucking tribes. It makes the thought of going to tribal terrifying because your odds of going home are increased.
Since the swap ive actually really been enjoying my time, I really like my new tribe and I feel I can actually connect with these people better than on my first tribe. I am glad to actually have Aidan with me because he’s like THE person I want to work with from my og tribe, along with Vi. I still have my reservations on Nick even though I think he’s nice I can’t trust him as far as I could throw him.
I really feel that the trivia challenge brought us closer together as a tribe since what’s a better bonding experience than yelling at Jess that she’s wrong 50 times in one day.
I think we’re all collectively quite strong and I really hope that means we can slide past for a while without going to tribal.
Honestly i always forget what i confess from last time but i still think I’m in a good position in the game. However I really do not want to go to tribal because I don’t want to show my cards. Eve and Pat both want me to work with them so we have an alliance and then Vi and Nick approached me and want to work with me as well. This was completely surprising to me bc I felt as if I would just be an easy vote out if we were to go to tribal since I’m a lone wolf. However I’m in the middle and I feel somewhat powerful knowing that people want to keep me and want to work with me. Me and nick have had a rocky relationship in past games but i think he’s a great person. He’s just a wildcard. I love vi and i think she’s the sweetest person to have ever existed but my gut is telling me to work with pat and Eve atleast for the first vote. Hopefully I don’t have to make the decision but who knows. That’s all I have for now other than I think the idol system isn’t anything I keep getting zapped. I feel like a fly in a southern home...ZAP.
I couldn’t remember the day so I put 69. I hate this tribe with my whole heart and my whole bussy. Jared is the only one giving me any sort of shot at making it passed this round. Austin is a slime ball who will do anything to save his own skin, Xander is dead apparently, and Dylan has been tracking down places where famous people died. I feel like this is my own personal hell and while I’ve been assured that Austin is going home (which I wouldn’t be surprised was a lie) I still have to make a swap or a merge and with the clowns on this tribe being inactive and never talking about anything but Star Wars or not talking at all I don’t know how possible it is to win a goddamn challenge.

Since it didn't happen at 16 I wasn't surprised too see it at 15 but I'm glad because three tribes provides for much more buffer. My initial reaction to my tribe was positive as I saw that I had Chloe and three new people in the mix. I'm not gonna lie that I was getting bored on my old tribe but I do hope that Nick is doing alright. He's one ally that I'd love to connect with again... Vi is alright too but I don't know how strong of a connection we fostered. First impressions of my new tribemates:
Keaton - I heard he was fucking with my friend in another game so my guard was up but I tried and he seems aloof and random with his contributions but it makes sense since he's playing 4 games at once. Will probably work off of the others who contribute in challenges? We'll see.
Ashley - Sweet and seems like a hard worker. Not too much of a read on her yet
Owen - He seems nice and genuine but not much of a read from a game perspective yet.
It seems the split is 2-2-1 on my tribe from previous tribes but I don't know how strict to tribal lines people are going to play but I can feel some aloofness with Keaton and Ashley is traveling so... that's that on that. If we were going to tribal I have no idea what the fuck would happen but I want to strengthen connections. Honestly I think we can make it to the merge without hitting an elimination but who knows.
THANKFULLLLLLLY my ass had a lucky night on the railroads and jumped to spot number fifty and apparently found a STEAL A VOTE. This is what I DESERVE. Thank you Old West Gods for blessing me, the star, with this iconic power. I'm glad I have it in my back pocket and I'm not telling a fucking soul. If it needs to be used, it will be flaunted and I will pop shit.
Hopefully I can save it for after merge but if I need to control a pre-merge vote just to get my way, I'm going to do it.

EPISODE 02: Hmm, Okay, Sounds Weird But Okay
For the castaways’ second immunity challenge, a glitch in the system took down their Deep Space Survival Procedures and Protocol Manual, also known as the Rules page. Their task was to reconstruct it as best they could, which shouldn’t have been hard since they all definitely read those rules thoroughly before beginning the game, right?
Hmm, perhaps not. They both did a decent job reconstructing, though. Within the first two hours of the challenge, Lovelace found a loophole and used the Rules from one of Ari’s other games as a template to work from. Even with that, Minkowski was a fierce contender - maybe they actually did read the rules - and the teams tied. Ultimately it was Lovelace’s early submission time that secured them a second win.
At Minkowski’s second Space Council, Jay was voted out 6 - 1 and went to join Karen inside the star. The DSSPPM was restored, and the anarchy of this round was laid to rest.

i got my way and karen just left :) noah fence karen you just were the only person on the team i wasnt aligned with bc i needed someone to vote out if we lost im sure youre great!!!!!! i'm not aligned with everyone left which isn't good bc if we lose then i'm fucked lmao... the person i'm least aligned with is probably Pat??? which is interesting bc stevie and jay didn't vote with me.... i really wanted to vote with them but they wanted to vote for jakey and he's one of my closest allies at this point.... i should have just straight up told stevie and jay that i had the votes to get out karen that way there would be more team unity and if we lose again jakey wouldnt be so for voting one of them out and i could point the finger to Pat for the least amount of blood on my hands but I know stevie and karen are friends and i didn't want to be so obvious about the fact that i know the votes were there for karen bc im the one who got them all lmao we really need to win this and then hopefully a team swap happens bc if we go back to space council with this group i'm fucked i have too many allies this is wild

hello!! so basically today was SPACE COUNCIL DAY!!!! so we have some content ladies, saddle up!
so coming into council i've only spoken with richie and pat one on one lol which is clearly NOT GREAT so i had to get to #werk. richie informs me at 7:10 that miss karen wanted either me or richie to leave.
now clearly since i'm me and richie is one of the two people that have built a relationship with me im like hell no!!!! so at this point it's clear karen is the person i was gonna target since she came for me yknow
so RENEE messages me today and we get to talking a little bit and we immediately have a GREAT bond. i get good vibes from her and i was so happy to find someone i could potentially work with closely in this game!
so she rly wants to keep me and she hasn't talked to karen, so i knew i could get her vote from there. so then it was mostly talking to pat and what i've gathered from pat is he's very secretive and sketchy... like this vote he wasn't saying much which i know he was busy and everything but he was telling richie like he wont be around so he might not be able to vote or something and it was ????? also he's apparently close with JOSH because i havent spoken once to josh and pat was like "ok josh will vote with us" and i was like hmmm okay sounds weird but okay.
so yeah it ended up being me/richie/renee/pat/josh for karena n karen/stevie/jay voting for me. im all fine for this outcome especially since i got to have my sandra-esque "AND THE QUEEN STAYS QUEEN" moment... i was LIVING... but im so worried pat/josh will turn on me in the next vote!!! i don't trust them at all and maybe it's time to start trying to built relationships with stevie and jay since maybe they feel on the outs after this vote.
at this point i know im going to be an ONGOING target on this team so the quicker we swap, the BETTER (i also want to reunite w some cuties on the other team)

Welp, that was a shit show.
A bit of context: I hated both options that came up. I tried subtly dropping Renee once or twice, but it was clear that wasn't gaining traction. My next preference would have been Jay, probably. That wasn't happening, either. People seemed locked on Jakey and Karen, which irked me and still kinda does. But since I was out I didn't really have much ability to make anything happen.
So, why take out Karen over Jakey? It gets complex. At the core of it, in a vacuum, I feel Karen would have been more loyal to me than Jakey likely will be down the road. But the issue comes in who I would have been throwing my hat in with if I'd gone with Karen. Those three votes were Jay, Stevie and Karen herself. I'd have made it four, and I presume Josh and I were always voting in lockstep. Either that, or rocks on the first vote which yikes.
Plain and simple, I don't like that group as a means to reach the end. I think me/Josh/Jakey/Renee/Richie will be a much more effective group. I wish Karen had talked to more people, because adding her to this group would've been great.
Also, Josh stated a preference to voting out Karen over Jakey. I really want to keep Josh feeling like he can trust me 100%. I always do better in these games when I have an unquestioned #1 ally. So I let him feel – rightfully – that if his preference was Karen, we'd do Karen. It helped that I was leaning that way, myself, for the reasons above.
Also, Jakey's pretty fun. A bit abrasive sometimes for my taste, but I'm not mad at all about working with him. He'll be a good ally, I think.
Ah well, onward and upward. RIP, Moose Alliance.

and pat and i really connected at the beginning of the game but i've kinda stopped the breaks on that relationship bc i needed someone with no connection with in case we went to council but it looks like it's impossible for me to put the vote on pat tonight which sucks for my game bc im going to be pissing off someone just who's it going to be??? idk bc we're less than 2 hours from council and no one is around!!!!!!
i love jay and i wanted to work with him but the last vote really fractured the team and choosing to go with the minority with a possible team swap coming just isn't the best idea???? i'm trying to do damage control with stevie 15 minutes before the vote so that if this all goes down as planned then i still have room to work with him hopefully

#like . . . it feels useless to vote democrat in wyoming unless its on a national election#and even then the outdated fucking electoral college will just shift my vote to red#its just . . . like im trying to choose a decent republican candidate for senate and stuff but they all kinda suck#like REALLY suck#liz cheney can fight me personally#but i feel like i have to vote republican bc they actually have a chance of winning#hopefully ben-david gets the dem nomination#:/#our system is fucking broken and i hate it#me
