Luisa: Why is Mira standing on a chair?
Dolores: She likes to feel tall.
Luisa: And why is Camilo also on a chair?
Dolores: Mirabel is the only one shorter than him and he refuses to let her be taller.

Headcanon: Camilo and Mirabel are best friends
Even though I think this headcanon is adorable, I don't really see it. I'm not sure why, I just don't. But, it is cute still 💖

Encantober - Head Pats
If Bruno had his wits about him, he might have seen his fate as he entered the kitchen.
If his head wasn't pounding with a sharp, unrelenting ache and the mid-morning sun wasn't so aggressively bright, he might have seen Mirabel's small fist held in suspension over the coffee cup, might have seen her pudgy fingers splay wide as they released a mountain of salt into the already opaque grey liquid. If his mind hadn't been clouded with anxious thoughts of the future and its impending collision with the present, he might have heard Camilo bickering loudly with his prima-partner-in-crime about whether their concoction required precisely one or two pinches of cayenne seeds. Indeed, if he'd gotten even a smidge more than a mere hour's rest, he might have registered the faint bite of vinegar still lingering in the air, rising from damp puddles where the clumsy dexterity of the children had occasionally overshot the cup as they prepared their very own magic potion—a potent poison to ward off the evil spirit they'd heard the townspeople say prowled among them in their Casita.
As it was, he was neither clear headed nor alert nor rested, and so he wandered into the clutches of his cruel fate without even an inkling.
"Morning," Bruno murmured, his words blurring at the edges.
Mirabel and Camilo's heads shot up from where they bent together over the cup, backs ramrod straight and hands behind their backs.
"Buenas, Tío Bruno," they said in unison, a sweet chorus of innocence.
Bruno rubbed one eye roughly and cracked the other open enough to see the cup, now abandoned in the center of the kitchen island.
"Ah look at that, you kids saved a cuppa coffee for your old Tío?"
They looked up at him with wide eyes. Camilo nodded his head ever so slightly and Mirabel bit her lip. Bruno didn't think much of it. He probably looked a ragged mess, frightening to anyone, really.
"You're good kids," he rasped, patting them both on the head as he swept past, scooping up the cup as he went. He heaved a deep sigh as dragged himself out the kitchen doorway, back toward his tower.
"Milo," Mirabel hissed loudly, leaning toward her cousin, eyes huge behind her glasses. "But that's is supposed to be for the monster!"
Camilo hushed her and looked around quickly. It even hears your dreams, the townspeople had said.
Mirabel leaned even closer. "But Milooo, is it going to give Tío poisonous in his body and make him died?!"
"No, dummy, that's ony papaya seeds," he shot back, but he gave one last uncertain glance toward the courtyard.
"Phew," she sighed, slumping back onto her stool with relief. "Good thing we didn't added those yet."
Just then, a great cloud of sputtering and cursing erupted from the top of the courtyard stairs, echoing with bouncing resonance around the previously quiet walls. Camilo and Mirabel bolted from their seats, giggling behind muffling hands as they followed a path of clanking, quivering tiles that Casita furnished along their escape route.

Sedaverse Fankids
Because why not. Note all of this is subject to change because I don't care all that much. Anyway, in order of appearance:
Julio & José "Pepe" Madrigal - identical twin sons of Dolores and Mariano, named for their great-aunt Juieta and...abuela Josefa, great-uncle José, and great-grandmother Josephine, respectively. Gifts are flight and superspeed, also rspectively. They both take after their dad physically; Julio is ironically more grounded and Pepe is a bit of an agent of chaos like his uncle Camilo.
Paloma Alma Madrigal - Dolores and Mariano's first daughter, more shy reserved than her older brothers. Her gift is temperature control.
Pedro Madrigal II - Mirabel and Lupe Herrera's (...you don't know who he is, don't worry about it) son. Charming trainwreck. His gift is mimicking other gifts, up to three at a time. Knocked up an American tourist at age 20 and that's how we got Bruno 2.0.
[Dolores and Mariano's third son]
[Mirabel and Lupe's daughters]
Zoe Madrigal - Dolores and Mariano's youngest, technomancer, literally an unused character from the movie. Jacked-in hacker type.
Bruno Madrigal - Pedro Jr.'s son with *checks notes* Erica Sullivan. Gift is psychomancy because of course it is. Appears in the epilogue of A Prophet In His Own Land
That's it that's all I've got.

If the Madrigal grandkids met themselves from the other universe.
Isabela: Listen here, punk. Do you think you're better than me? My cacti is surely the best *basically having a competition*
Dolores: Oh, have you heard about... *Proceeds to gossip*
Luisa: Finally. A fair opponent in arm wrestling.
Camilo: We look the same... Do you think what I'm thinking of? It's time to cause a chaos.
Mirabel: Uh... Hi? Okay, this is awkward.
Antonio: Are we twins? (Doesn't really understand what's going on)

Twins of Mischief au info
The twins have no chill whatsoever, they look cute from afar but they will colorfully blow up your house with paint. They are the definition of chaos.
I did the math wrong, by the time Miguel was born the triplets & casita were 41 years old.
Both of them are good at making bombs(not harmful), fireworks, toys, and elaborate pranks. If it’s DIY-able they can make it no sweat.
And seriously, who needs gifts when you can make cool inventions ALL the time?
They are the village's miscreants and the family’s chaos children.
They’re room is an amusement park, just to put that out there.
Here’s this photo for reference
Tumblr media
Casita spoils them both, how could she not? They’re her babies. However, the rest of the family don’t like it, especially Alma. Not like she cares though. Casita is the youngest of her siblings, she’s meant to be the chaos sibling.
Bruno, Julieta, and Agustin don’t do much either. They are just glad that they’re kids are happy.
“Oh, what can you do? They’re just kids, let them have they’re fun” - Julieta
“Oh you know Mira, it’s fine” - Agustin
“Huh, Miguel blew up your shop with paint? Well…what did you do?” - Bruno
‘Alma, as long as no one is hurt I do not care what they do. Now leave me be’ - Casita
Both know how to fight pretty well, thanks to Hermano mayor Mariano.
Mirabel still likes to sew and play the accordion
Miguel likes to play the flute and paint.
They both know how to make amazing clothes/costumes though.
Tio Bruno is like a father figure to Miguel, and Casita couldn’t be more grateful that her brother stepped up to the task.
Whenever you see the two running around cackling and giggling YOU KNOW something is about to happen.
They are the BEST at parkour, no doubt about it. Tia/Mama Casi taught them everything they know.
Same relationship with Isabela in canon, Isabela’s stress is on 110 because she constantly has to constantly be perfect AND marry someone she doesn’t want to marry. Next to that, she has two people running around causing a muck without any sort of consequence whatsoever. In other words she has no freedom, but they do, and she’s upset about it.
Isa does see Miguel as a little brother, she doesn’t hate him, he’s just annoying and she’s stressed out.
Luisa is the same as in the movie. When it comes to Miguel she does see him as a little brother, though he doesn’t annoy her because he knows how stressed she is.
There’s also a rivalry between the twins and the older yellow siblings when it comes to Antonio. If you haven’t noticed, they aren’t the best influence and they already began to rub off on him by the time he was 3 (he made a glitter bomb and threw it into Isabela’s room). Not to mention that instead of calling the twins prima and primo he openly calls them hermana and hermano. Much to the older yellow siblings dismay.
And the twins calling him they’re triplet doesn’t make things better. The yellow siblings feel like they’re brother is slipping away from them. He isn’t but that’s just how they feel.
Now I have a few voice claims for Miguel
Kid miguel 6-8; Juaquin from the book of life (timestamp 0:22)
The Book of Life - The Medal of Everlasting Life given to Juaquin Scene - YouTube
Older Miguel 13-15; Miguel Cazarez Mora (Yes, I see the irony, but it fits and he’s my favorite actor)
FULL MIGUEL CAZAREZ MORA LIVE!!🤩 - YouTube
Camilo does still prank people but people always know when it’s a camilo prank or twin prank. Camilo’s pranks won’t leave you covered in paint that won’t wash out for over a week.
He also kind of feels like they took his signature thing away, which is pranking and acting. Since they were kids the twins always had “better” shows/storytelling, “funnier” jokes, and “better” pranks. And he thinks Antonio sees Miguel as a “cooler” brother figure. Antonio loves all his siblings equally but there are a lot of unspoken issues.
Now, the twins don’t just randomly prank the townspeople. If the twins are cool with you, there will be a paper mâché rose on your doorstep or pink party streamers hanging somewhere on your house. But if they have beef with you, you're getting harshly pranked, no warnings.
Speaking of party streamers, did I mention they are good at planning parties? They all take part in planning they’re friends' birthdays, quinceaneras, and quinceaneros. Not to mention they’re good DJ’s too. Think Nico and Pedro from Rio, they can keep a party going.
Bruno did have the vision of Mirabel’s ceremony but the vision tablet would change from the door fading to Miguel standing next to her in what looks like a ceremony door. So to avoid any confusion, he told Alma that “Mirabel is going to be a happy kid”
Alma was confused but took his word for it. Man did that woman cuss his ear off after the ceremony but he told her-
“Hey! I didn’t even know she wasn’t going to get a gift, all I saw was a smiling Mirabel, I thought that was a good enough indication. You can’t be mad at me if my visions aren’t clear”
Of course he was stuttering and fumbling through those words but he got it out.
Miguel likes to play soccer and help Julieta with cooking when he can.
Now I wouldn’t say the twins are completely happy, they are in a constant state of “I need to prove that I’m just as good as the others, who needs a gift? I don’t”
So yeah, that’s all I have for now, but I’ll think of more. The au kind of aligns with the movie but I'll try to expand it more. Thanks for reading!
BETTER THAN NOTHING RAHHHHHHH 🦅🦅🦅
Nah but. I kinda rock wit it, I ain’t gonna lie. Shiii ain’t least they’re. Hm. Yeah 🌚 ANYWAY YEAH. I think it’s cool. They’re kind of like wild cards, well rounded. You know, good at more than one thing, I think that’s nice. Sure, there are flaws and what not, but it’s all good 🫧🫧 Good luck on expanding, I think it can work out pretty well!

Papa!Bruno AU???
Mira has a twin sister and they are both Bruno's kids and everything goes wrong really fast
Part 1 I guess
- - - -
Mirabel is four years, eleven months and twenty nine days old
Marina is four years, eleven months, twenty nine days and five minutes old
They know it. Their Papa helped them count
Tomorrow night, tomorrow night will be the Big Night. Their Miracle Night.
"Ahora, mis pequeñas" their Papa is quiet, he always get to them before they notice "to sleep"
They dont want to sleep. They are young, and it's the last night as four-years-old. But Papa put them both in bed.
They share a bed. They always did. Glued to the hip, they were. Camilo too. The chaos siblings. But Camilo was no sibling. He was a cousin, older than them by just two months.
They were exited to have a gift like their primo, but wary too. Each primo had their own room. Would they have separated rooms? They had never been separated.
Papa brushed their worries away, brushing his fingers in their hair, caressing the soft curls.
"Buenas noches, mi Ratoncito", he kissed Marina's forehead, than Mirabel's "Buenas noches, mi Mariposita"
Papa left the room silent. Papa was always silent, moving in the shadows, followed by rats and moths. Followed by his Ratoncito and his Mariposita.
- - -
Mirabel is five.
Marina is five.
Today, seconds and minutes don't matter.
Mari holds Mira's hand tight. There are so many people, so many lights. Mira glows in anticipation. Mari doesn't. Mira always was their Papa's little Mariposita. She searches for light. And Mari, Papa's little Ratoncito, is more than happy to have her sister have the light.
She loves her sister, and, for her, for Papa, she will walk that corridor surrounded by people.
Mira squeezes Mari's hand, and hand in hand, both smiling, they walk. Their family is there, close to the stairs. Camilo is smiling, a perfect clone of them. They could be triplets. They look all so much alike.
Prima Luisa is there too, and Prima Isabella, and Prima Dolores.
And Papa. Their Papa, up the stairs, side by side with Abuela. They go up.
Their Doors are closer than any other. But they are twins. Maybe Casita kows they need to be close (she knows).
"Nerviosas?" Papa asks.
Mira isn't. She is bright and exited and Mari knows she will have the best gift because she is the best.
Mari is. She is exited, she is, but anxious too. She is so much like their Papa, Mira knows, and hope her gift will help her be confident.
"Here, mi Ratoncito" Papa gives her one of his rats "for luck"
"Knock, knock, knock on wood" she whispers to him, knocking her feet lightly.
Mari is the oldest. She should open her door first. She does not.
"Together", she asks her Abuela, "please?"
Abuela Alma doesn't see why not. So they both touch the candle. They both repeat their vows. They both touch the door.
And then everything goes wrong.
Mari's Door glows.
Mira's Door doesn't. It disappears.
"What?" Abuela doesnt seem to understand. Mira looks at her with teary eyes and is meet with sadness, than anger, than... nothing. Disgust, silence, empty.
"Mira?" Mari doesn't understand either. Her sister, her twin, Mira was the light, how could she no have a gift of her own? Mira was confused and upset and Mari was too. She was too busy being distressed to look at her own door, to see the drawing that was not formed yet.
Mira began to cry, silently.
Mari squeezed the rat in her hands out of reflex, and the dropped it, horrified. It was dead. Her hands were imprinted in it - the skin where she touched before was decomposed.
She began to cry too, and Isabella's flowers started to die around the whole house. Her Door was ready for her. A glowing, golden door, with the image of a young girl surrounded by bones and skulls and crows and rats, next to an empty space where her sister's door once stood.
There was no party that night.
- - -
Bruno didn't know what to do.
He kissed his Mariposita in the forehead. She, at least, was sleeping. The sleep of the innocent. He didn't know what that was since he got his gift, an Dios, he hated himself for that, now his older daughter probably wouldn't either.
He hated to leave his grieving young giftless daughter alone in the dark nursery, a nursery that she shouldn't be in anymore, but he needed to look for his other daughter.
The house was silent, but he knew his Ratoncito well enough.
She was hiding, of course, but he could find her. She was quiet, of course, like him, but predictable.
She was hidden under the table, in the dining room, tiny, even tinier now that she was trying to be tiny, hidden in the shadows, holding the dead mouse against her chest, muttering apologies and rhymes.
"Ratoncito", he tried to touch her arm, to hold her. She had run away after the awful ceremony of theirs. He felt so guilty, for having passed to his beautiful, amazing daughters his bad luck.
She flinched away from him, scared, hurt.
"Go-go away", her voice was so tiny, "I- I'll end up ki-killin' you, like, like the mouse"
And she was crying again.
"No, hijita, no" Bruno managed to pull her out, to hugh her tight, "breathe, ok? With me."
And she does. She does and she stops crying and shaking a little, though her chest still hurts.
She shows her Papa the mouse. His mouse.
"Lo- lo siento, Papa", she lets out a quiet cry.
Bruno is sad, he won't deny it. The rat was his friend. But his hija didn't want to hurt, didnt want to kill. She was scared, and he was sad. But not angry.
"It's ok, mija", he says, rocking her lightly, gently, back and forth as he did when she and her sister were babies.
He says, even if he is not really sure of it,even if he doesn't really believe, because she is Bad Luck Bruno's daughter, and he brought her bad luck, even if he didn't mean it(and Mira... ay Dios, his Mira, his Mariposita, without a gift, only with those teary, scared eyes and the memory of the disappointed look Mother, no, Alma, gave to her.), because that's what Mari needed to hear.
"It's ok"
He managed to bring her back to her room, still in his arms (she was five, por Dios, she shouldn't have to bear a curse like this, worse than his own). He opened the door for the first time.
She got smaller in his arms.
The place was awful. Eery. Mysterious yes, and maybe beautiful, but dark and scary. It was shaped out of her daughter fear, horror and despair. He felt sorry for it.
There was a forest in the room. A forest in the middle of the night. It was always night at her room, he noticed. And the forest was not inoccent. It was a graveyard. And, in a opening in the middle of the naked, dark trees, there was a huge, dark bed, with a little skull engraved in the wood.
He walked there, stepping on dead gray leaves and into a fairy circle of mushrooms, and put her in the bed, among the pillows.
"I don't like it here", she whispered, afraid the trees would hear her and get angry "it's scary"
"I'll stay with you, Ratoncito" he tucked her in and layed by her side, hugging her tight "I'll stay until you sleep"
He was still there the next day.

So in your AU, what shenanigans does the Chaos Twins do?
That's Mirabel and Camilo right?
If it is, then absolutely all sorts.
Mirabel is often seen chasing after Camilo who has just broke something expensive and/or valuable and they're scrambling to fix it before Abuela sees
They tend to annoy each other on certain days, so whenever that happens, Camilo goes around causing trouble as Mirabel, and Mirabel pokes Camilo with her sewing needles under the table at dinner

Yet another Encanto snippet—just for the sake of it…
87. Código
(nm) code
Eight months since Bruno returned, six since they came back to Casita, and the Grandchildren are having a bit of a difficult time.
Their mothers and tío are standing together at different spots the kitchen, Mamá cooking while Tía Pepa and Tío Bruno help out. And they're speaking…some kind of gibberish.
"But when you're stuck halfway up the palma de cera—" says Tío Bruno, stirring a soup.
"It doesn't mean anything if he doesn't look for the cat—" retorts Tía Pepa, chopping fruit.
"I'm sure he will," soothes Mamá, rolling arepa redondas. "It's just a matter of painting the right sunrise, that's all—"
The three "middle children" are watching from a bit of a distance as Mirabel and Camilo help Luisa with some sweeping in the courtyard (it's Tuesday, and that means it's her Day Off).
“Hear me out—are we sure they didn’t get telepathy?” asks Luisa.
“Nah,” scoffs Camilo, “it’s just—”
“A triplet thing,” continues Mirabel, “you know, because you spend a lot of time together—”
“And you’re about the same age so you experience things the same way—"
"Have the same inside jokes—"
"It's just a bit of fun, prima."
"…have you two been practicing?"
"Nope."
"Nope."
She's greeted with identical smiles.
Literally. "That's not fair, Camilo."
"Who's Camilo?" says Mirabel…one of the Mirabels…a little too innocently.
"Aargh."
(But they haven't played that game since they were nine. It's a relief that they still do, in a way. Just like how it's a relief, in a way, that the Triplets managed to get back into sync so quickly despite one of them hiding in the walls of their house for a decade.)
There's Dolores, too.
"Luisa, Mirabel, Other Mirabel, if you see Isabela, could you tell her the papaya has reached Argentina?"
The twinkle in her prima's eye tells Luisa all she needs to know.
Her own eye twitches, for once very much theatrically. This is supposed to be her Day Off, for goodness' sake.
A very small part of her just wants to find Antonio and see if he's up to trying to decrypt what the donkeys are saying. And because it's her Day Off (and she's probably never going to get tired of saying those words even if she ought to), she decides to do just that.

Dolores and Isabela Madrigal are extra close. They shared secrets together as children all the time. They enjoyed pretending to have each others’ gifts. They comforted each other when the other cried. They caused mischief together, played pranks on the rest of the familia, played pranks on each other, jumped through rain puddles, ran through nature and chilled in their secret hideout, played with the bugs, etc. When Dolores had interest in a boy, Isabela didn’t understand, she didn’t get the appeal of boys and why Dolores pretended to like one, was this some kind of joke, some kind of prank, but she played along and was her cousin’s number one wingwoman. She was the matchmaker, Cupid’s conductor. And when those boys broke her heart like they inevitably do, Isabela chased them off a cliff. She did that to anybody who messed with Dolores. Just kidding! But she would like to! Sometimes Dolores had to reign her in. Because the “victim” always ended up crying.
One of the things they loved to do was be each other! Countless times, Isabela and Dolores would dress up as each other and go by each others’ names, demanding everybody else refer to them as their cousin’s name as well. Isabela even grew red flowers instead of pink ones to complete the look! Isabela referred to her parents as tía and tío, and her sisters as “primas”. Same for Dolores and her “primo”(since Antonio wasn’t born yet). It was all good and fun, right? Until Isabela asked Pepa to let her hold Camilo, which Pepa foolishly obliged. Isabela was seven years old. Camilo was one. So you can imagine what happened. The worst part was that in Julieta’s room, Dolores was asking to do the same thing to Mirabel! Fortunately, Pepa thundered into the room at just the right time and put a stop to the madness instantly. Julieta took Mirabel from Dolores, which made both older girls miserable as they ran to their secret hideout to cry together. Because they’re seven, they figured that all this chaos ensued because they had dressed up as each other, not because, you know, a seven-year-old dropped a baby(which is partly the mother’s fault for letting it happen, but let’s move on...). So they stopped dressing up as each other for...God knows how long, maybe forever. But nobody ever forgot about Isabela’s screw-up, and they never hesitate to make fun of her for dropping her baby cousin. After all, everybody knows Isabela can’t be handled with a baby...much less five...
So if you’re wondering why Camilo’s such a gigantic bonehead, this is why.
Isabela and Dolores are still as close as ever, as you can imagine. And in many ways, she’s still the fiercely protective big cousin, and she’s still the cute and funny little cousin who provides a soothing comfort(and voice of reason because shit Isabela needs it!) in Isabela’s life. Put some respect on the OG chaos twins.
(This is canon everyone please look it up it’s true!)
