According to the DSM, most people with excoriation disorder usually don't skin pick in front of others except for immediate family members, which was personally surprising to me since all my life I have skin picked in public. Wanted to see how applicable this was, so here's a poll!

Feel free to vote even if you're NT!
Also I wasn't sure how specific these were, these are all experiences I've had so I wanted to see which were the most relatable :] But if this ends up being way too specific, my bad lol!

*Impairment meaning it negatively impacts important areas of your life, such as physical health, work, school, social, mental health, spiritual, or financial. For instance, if you fail to eat or sleep due to your hyperfixation, that would impair your physical health.
Vote even if you're NT and experience hyperfixations!

*Note: Not "sharing a name" in the sense of a collective identity or masking as the host, but instead multiple alters willingly identifying with the same name (E.g. Three alters going by "Bob" in the same system, but the system does not collectively go by "Bob" and the alters are not going by "Bob" to mask as the host)

Similar poll will come out next week about excoriation/skin-picking disorder!
According to the DSM, most people with trichotillomania usually don't hair pull in front of others except for immediate family members, which was personally surprising to me since all my life I have pulled hair in public. Wanted to see how applicable this was, so here's a poll!

*Rejection sensitive dysphoria
Note: RSD isn't an official diagnostic critera or diagnosis (though it may become one eventually as we learn more!) It's used to describe an experience many people with ADHD report that's believed to come from emotional dysregulation common with ADHD. It is a pattern of anxiously expecting, difficulty receiving, and overreacting to rejection. It's associated with becoming embarrassed easily, strong emotional reactions to perceived rejection, and low self-esteem

If it depends on the situation, vote for the most often one (e.g. if you're usually indifferent to touch but get touch averse during a meltdown, vote indifferent to touch)

Also, feel free to tag all of your sterotypical comfort foods, I'm just curious what stereotypical comfort food tends to be the most loved! I didn't include some obvious ones since there's a limit on how many options you can put down
All of these are my comfort foods, but spaghetti is my personal fav!

*skin-picking disorder or dermatillomania
Automatic: occurs without full awareness Focused: preceding tension and subsequent relief
I saw that dermatillomania can be either automatic or focused and was curious which tends to be more common! I have another one on trichotillomania up right now if you have that and would like to go vote for it!

*Sometimes YouTube videos are mainstream media, so if you regularly watch YouTube videos but only ones that are breaking 3M+ views, I would count that as mainstream entertainment media.
