According to the DSM, most people with excoriation disorder usually don't skin pick in front of others except for immediate family members, which was personally surprising to me since all my life I have skin picked in public. Wanted to see how applicable this was, so here's a poll!

Also I wasn't sure how specific these were, these are all experiences I've had so I wanted to see which were the most relatable :] But if this ends up being way too specific, my bad lol!

*Impairment meaning it negatively impacts important areas of your life, such as physical health, work, school, social, mental health, spiritual, or financial. For instance, if you fail to eat or sleep due to your hyperfixation, that would impair your physical health.

*Note: Not "sharing a name" in the sense of a collective identity or masking as the host, but instead multiple alters willingly identifying with the same name (E.g. *Rejection sensitive dysphoria

Note: RSD isn't an official diagnostic critera or diagnosis (though it may become one eventually as we learn more!) It's used to describe an experience many people with ADHD report that's believed to come from emotional dysregulation common with ADHD. It is a pattern of anxiously expecting, difficulty receiving, and overreacting to rejection. It's associated with becoming embarrassed easily, strong emotional reactions to perceived rejection, and low self-esteem

I saw that dermatillomania can be either automatic or focused and was curious which tends to be more common! I have another one on trichotillomania up right now if you have that and would like to go vote for it!

*Sometimes YouTube videos are mainstream media, so if you regularly watch YouTube videos but only ones that are breaking 3M+ views, I would count that as mainstream entertainment media.
