Second verse, same as the first, but with our villains. Where are they? What're their status? Is it something to be concerned about?

Alive/Active:
Salem: Still active as always, as she'll ever be. Last seen fleeing the smoldering remains of Atlas alongside Cinder Fall, Staff and Lamp in hand. No doubt she has plans for Vacuo, but what are they?
Cinder Fall: Active. Last seen in triumph in Volume 8, having gotten both Staff and Lamp and supposedly killed her competition. And having lied to Salem successfully. Shrouded in mystery, her future is.
Emerald Sustrai: Alive, defected to the heroes side in Volume 8.
Neo Politan: Alive, let go of her revenge plans against Ruby and is currently reinventing herself in the grasp of the Tree in the Ever After circa Volume 9.
Mercury Black: Alive, but in doubt over his place in the grand scheme of things as of Volume 8. An uncertain fate awaits the young man.
Tyrian Callows: Alive. Still. And laughing mad about it. Last seen headed for Vacuo. Will the scorpion taste his own sting and die from it?
Bertilak Celadon: Alive, presumably. One of the primary antagonists of Before the Dawn. Convinced to swap sides as his partner Carmine attempted to kill him. He decided to try hunting her down.
Carmine Escalados: One of the antagonists in both Before the Dawn and After the Fall. Last seen during a massive explosion in The Crown's hideout. Presumed alive, since Bertilak is convinced of her survival.
Jax Asturias: Co-leader of The Crown from Before the Dawn. Lobotimized, vegetative, but alive.
Gillian Asturias: Other co-leader of The Crown. Currently incarcerated alongside the rest of the conspirators, but alive.
Lil Miss Malachite: Still living. Still kingpin of Mistral, presumably.
Carolin Cordovin: Stopped during Volume 6, presumably still alive and on the side of the angels.

We needed Blake and Yang to reunite with the rest of the group, and now they have. And they’re panicking as much as everyone else now that they’ve seen the mech and the Leviathan. But hey, group unity! That’s what’s important! ...right?
Weiss is very spot-on here. “We just ruined the only thing capable of stopping it”. In hindsight, yeah. This is kinda their bad. They couldn’t have known this thing was coming, but it’s very unfortunate that it did when it did. And Blake and Yang making it back to the group is good because, aside from the obvious everyone being on the same page thing, now the narrative can just focus on one sequence in full detail for the remainder of the episode instead of having to cut back and forth between the majority of the group and those two like the last couple episodes had. And if there’s one thing a finale needs, it’s focus and attention on the climactic event.

Meanwhile, The Atlas miltary fought the Grimm in the sky while the robot the heroes trapped Cordovine in, was out of action.
Blake and Yang, who were couping with the fact that they killed Adam, caught up with them later on, surprised by the sight of so many Grimm, including the Leviathan.
While they were in the airship, Maria reminded them all that getting the relic to Atlas was the top priority and suggests they leave, but Team RWBY denied that suggestion and decides to fight the Leviathan.
The Leviathan was so strong that it destroyed the shields that protected Argus from it.
But Ruby had one plan im mind to take it down, and that was freeze it with her Silver Eyes.

RWBY Pokemon Headcanons - Team RWBY

i realized that this was actually ready and i’ve slapped it in the queue.
ive noted teams for jnpr and a couple members of salem’s side, i’ll get around to writing those next! <3
Ruby Rose

Dragopult
Blaziken was acquired as a starter at Signal. She chose Torchick for it’s spunky attitude and fiery spirit, and they dedicated themselves to protecting people and Pokemon.
She spent days and nights training on live Grimm, where she found her Rockruff making a target of itself with it’s brave barking. It evolved into a Lycanroc training beside her.
Florges was caught as a Flabébé. She went to visit her mother’s grave and went to take flowers from the garden to bring to her. Where she found Flabébé and decided to keep it and raise it to its evolution.
Talonflame was caught on initiation at Beacon. She risked her neck fighting the Nevermore Grimm alongside them and her and Weiss picked up two Fletchinder to mark their achievement.
Garchomp is symbolic of the first use of her Silver Eyes. When she froze the Wyvern, and Grimm gravitated to the area, Pokemon were chased from the school grounds. A Gabite fled the mountains where she caught it and raised it on her journey to Haven.
Dragopult represents the Leviathan battle. A haunting moment for Ruby where everyone’s lives were in her hands. She acquired her Dragapult before leaving Argus.(

Though Weiss never attended a specific pre-Huntsmen school, a Popplio was given as a gift from her Mother, all of the Schneeblings have one from her Primarina.
Golurk represents Weiss’s first real battle for her identity. On Jacques’ challenge to defeat the Arma Gigas, she acquired the Golett to attend her to Beacon. A parting “gift” from Jacques.
Talonflame was caught on initiation at Beacon. She aided RBY And JNPR fighting the Nevermore Grimm alongside them and her and Ruby picked up two Fletchinder to mark their achievement.
The Mamoswine was caught to represent her demonstration of a fight with a Boarbatusk in her Beacon class, a powerful ally and summon acquired from proving her strength to her peers.
Vikavolt represents the Queen Lancer summon that Weiss acquired while running away from Atlas. She caught it after the scuffle itself.
Corviknight idk <3 undetermined origins where I might say she had it since it was a rookidee, which would make sense and even her out with other characters. it also could represent the nevermore summon but talonflame made more sense thematically for her team

Blake Belladonna never attended a proper pre-Huntsmen school, nor did she have the prestige to acquire a “proper” started, however, her parents gave her a Shinx as it was the offpsring of their own partner Pokemon.
When Blake was young, she came across an Absol. It wouldn’t leave her alone, so she caught it, of course, and it’s been a very protective and cautious Pokemon throughout her life.
Zoroark was caught in her early days of the White Fang. It was rescued from humans as a Zorua and it aided her and the White Fang with its illusions, under the same belief they were doing the right thing.
Before coming to Beacon, Adam gave her his Kirlia. She kept it and it had completely changed its allegiances by Battle of Beacon, attempting to protect her and Yang but ultimately failing. It evolved into a Gallade where it and Yang’s Gardevoir aided in the rest of the battles with Adam.
Grimmsnarl was similarly a gift. After leaving RWBY in a flurry of emotions with Sun Wukong, they went back to Menagerie and caught two Morgrems causing ruckuses.
Before parting ways with Ilia, Blake caught a Salandit with her in mind and evolved it into a Salazzle on her way to Argus with her team.

Yang went to Signal, where she chose Litten as a starter. Unlike Ruby, Yang wasn’t looking for a chivalrous type, more of a spirit willing to win. Incineroar and Yang are inseparable and have been a team since day one.
Pangoro represents her frequent fights with “the bears.” Originally, she was given a Panchamp after nearly getting herself and Ruby killed by Ursai. Qrow caught and gave her a Panchamp in hopes it would teach her patience and protection.
Similarly, she was given a Growlithe by her father for protection against the wild Pokemon in Patch. She just hadn’t anticipated the way it got her out of a handful of skirmishes with Grimm as well.
To be honest, Kommo-o, Gardevoir, and Tyrantrum don’t have specific events, they just have vibes. Kommo-o may be related to Raven or Tai, Gardevoir is associated with Blake but I dont know when she got it, and I think she picked up a Jaw fossil and revived it ??/ somewhere?? :3 suggestions welcome!

Weiss was sitting on the edge of her bed looking at her scroll. It had been a long day of getting their weapons upgraded and honestly? For as much as she loved Ruby, she needed a break from her ramblings about weapons. A girl could take only so much. And she certainly wasn’t going to be the third wheel for… whatever it was that was happening between Blake and Yang.
Weiss smiled softly to herself as she remembered the two on the airship from Argus. Something had obviously changed. She could see it in the way Yang held Blake as she (very unnecessarily) apologised for something that wasn’t her fault. She saw it in Blake’s smile and the way Yang held her hand. It existed in the way Yang kept her hand on Blake’s side while she looked out at the Leviathan. But it mostly existed in the small moments between them. Every little look. Every little smile. Each step closer that Blake took to Yang. But most importantly? It was theirs. An Weiss was going to do what she could to help them keep it that way.
“Weiss!” The named woman sighed heavily. She loved them. She loved seeing them heal. She loved seeing whatever was happening blossom. But dear Gods she was not prepared for this. “You’re not going to believe this.” Yang giggled. Weiss quirked an eyebrow as Yang laid down on her bed, popping her head in Weiss’s lap. She froze for a moment before glaring down at her friend.
“What are you doing?!”
“Weiss. Prepare yourself.” Yang had the biggest, happiest smile that she had seen on the girl in a long time. Weiss felt he shoulders slump in resignation as she accepted her fate. “Blake Belladonna just added gold to her weapon!” Weiss felt her eyebrows shoot up. That was big. For a huntress to add a different colour to her weapon that wasn’t originally a part of colour scheme, it usually indicated something special to her. Weiss bit back a smirk. No guesses as to what, or rather who, was Blake’s inspiration.
“Gold? Hmm. That’s… interesting.” Weiss murmured teasingly. “Who ever could she have been inspired by?” She added sarcastically with a roll of her eyes. Yang pouted and poked her cheek.
“Look, Ice Queen. I need somebody to geek out over this with. Could you at least pretend to be excited? I mean…” Yang frowned. “I don’t even know if it’s me.” Weiss felt a nerve twitch under her right eye. Great. She was developing a tic. Please don’t let this set up a pattern of oblivious dunces who continually dance around one another.
“Well. Did she say anything?” Weiss asked with a weary sigh. How many times would she have to “wingwoman” for these two dorks?
“Yeah. She said, and I quote, “I’ve recently realised that gold is very important to me. I think that it’s only fitting to have it represented in the extension of my souls.” Weiss blinked. And then she smacked her forehead.
“You oblivious idiot!” She groaned as though she were in great pain. “She’s absolutely talking about you. Who else would it be?!”
“…Sun?” Yeah. Weiss was definitely developing a tic.
“She hasn’t brought him up. At all.” She growled out, flicking Yang between her eyes. “Whereas with you, she a) can’t stop looking at you with the most sickeningly sweet expression, b) needs to be as close to you as possible and c) has literally cudddled up with you because she claimed to be cold! These blankets are heated! How was she cold!” Weiss flailed her arms, voice raising in exasperation. What was she going to do with these two?!
“Wow.” Yang muttered, sitting up with a blush coating her face. “I… never thought of it like that. Thanks, Weiss.” She smiled gratefully before smirking. “I could have done without the attitude, though.”
Weiss really was going to suffer. Wasn’t she?

Blake recognized Nora and Ren immediately. Nora’s loud voice had been so distinctive at Leviathan on the day the Belladonnas had arrived on Patch. Even if she couldn’t exactly remember what the couple had looked like, Blake recognized the voice. Nora trilled a greeting as she bounced through the door, Ren on her heels.
“So,” she said, her blue eyes glinting with excitement. “How’d ya meet?”
“This is Patch,” Yang said exasperatedly. “It would’ve been harder to not meet.”
“I still wanna hear the how!”
It was interesting to hear it from Yang’s perspective; she’d headed out to the rocks to watch the race like she always did, but as she started to make her way down the shore, she caught a glimpse of someone following her.
“Stalker,” Nora teased, making Blake blush.
“Be nice or shut up,” Yang replied with a snort.
“I only followed you because I thought you’d hurt yourself, jumping off that rock,” Blake hurried to say. “It was a pretty big one.”
“Yang’s got a damned death wish!” Nora rolled her eyes. “She’s sprained her ankle doing that sort of thing before, so I wouldn’t’ve been surprised if she did hurt herself.”
“I do not have a death wish.” Yang said this with a tired air, as if this was an old argument. Blake could almost hear Nora’s second eye roll.
She hadn’t been to a gathering like this since she’d left Adam, and it was a lot more laid-back than the ones he’d dragged her to. The clouds were dark and gray, but everyone hung out on the porch, ready to run back inside at the first raindrop. Weiss and Ruby were in charge of the lobsters and the corn; since Yang had done the catching, someone else always took care of the cooking. It meant that Blake could stay at her side, guilt-free, for much of the evening.
“Have you ever eaten a whole lobster?” Yang asked seriously as they sat at the picnic table. Ruby had already dismantled her own and was pulling the meat from a claw with her fingers.
“Not really.” Blake stared as Ruby tossed a bit of claw meat into her mouth. Water from the lobster soaked through her paper plate and onto the picnic table, but she’d taken no notice of it. “Maine lobster is sorta hard to come by in Menagerie.”
Methodically, Yang demonstrated with her own lobster on how to remove the claws and the tail. Blake followed along step-by-step, somewhat shakily. Yang helped her pull the tail meat out of the shell and ripped off the vein. “You’ll be a pro by the end of the summer,” she assured Blake.
“Mhm!” Ruby agreed beside her, sucking on one of the legs.
“First lobster of the summer,” Weiss remarked dreamily, using a fork to dig out her claw meat. “I’ve been waiting for this.”
“So you haven’t had any yet this year?” Blake was surprised when they all nodded.
“Well, the summer is still young!” Yang said cheerfully, taking a bite of her tail meat. “Next time, maybe we can get Pyrrha down here.”
“And Penny’s coming next month!” Ruby added. “She loves lobster.”
“We’ll make a real lobster bake out of it!” Yang grinned at Blake. “Who needs those fancy restaurants? This is the real Maine experience, right here.”
