Ur voice is absolutely iconic to them

(Like the fairy fountain theme or the appearance of the Master sword, its unimaginable to them for your to not sound like that)

And its not only the heroes of Hyrule, but anyone else who could hear you

Well it helps that it used to be ur only sort of external sign of presence to outsiders

(the Links could also somewhat "feel" you in their own chests sometimes, like when u were stressed over a boss, or sad over a cutscene)

The only others who usually hear you are mostly things like the Great Fairies, the Deku Tree, other weird ass beings that know way too much (Fierce Deity)

So needless to say, when u first crash landed thru a portal into Wild's Hyrule (ur latest Zelda game you've played u guess thats why)

And the Chain had seen u in the distance, met up with you to try and help what they thought was some poor guy who accidentally fell thru Hylia's portals

But as they heard u stutter thru an introduction, instead they knew immediately it was you

Sky and Twi seriously teared up, Hyrule/Wild/Four/Wind all attacked you with a hug and excited shrieking, Legend and Wars were just gaping in shock, and Time was just staring at you

It took you a minute to pinpoint who was from what game, but as soon as you figured it out u literally jaw dropped at Time/Wild/Twi/etc.

(The ones that look different from their in game model or way better irl than graphics could ever capture)

U also may have screamed. A very manly scream. Not high pitched at all. You didnt make Legend cover his ears or the four that tackled u scramble off in fear, what- haha

(U cant blame urself, u were in literal shock, bc that's ALL the LINKS??!! Like u needed a shock blanket like rescue/ambulances gives ppl)

After calming down, it wasnt even an outright discussion or decision u could rlly choose,

They were basically kidnapping u along for the ride, also u were there for them (in pretty voice alone but still) for all their adventures,

So u even suggesting leaving u behind bc u couldnt keep up as well as them had them looking at you like they never even considered it

(And also making them individually go thru the 5 stages of grief: 😨😟😡😭🥺🙏🙏 they were all outright begging u, in their own ways, deadass by the end of it)

So as u travel, you get to understand the full impact of Your Voice, or the Guide's Voice™️.

If anyone has a nightmare, what would normally take another hero poking them with a stick and dodging the reflex punch, or them waking up unable to go back to sleep after having the nightmare, etc.

U quickly realized only took you talking to comfort them, with no reflex punch when they woke up, if they woke up, sometimes u were so good at it the nightmare just cleared ended according to their face

In your first battle against the shadow, along with lots of black-blooded monsters, u realized how much more confidently every Link fought as soon as you were speaking from behind them

They got even better and less stressed abt fighting when u managed to crack a few jokes or go toe to toe verbally with the Shadow lol

Legend outright guffawed when you pulled a dumb "sigh... well i guess... maybe... ur mom." joke in response to his villain monologue, like wiping a tear and everything, saying "u used to say that all the time after dumb long evil speeches, its a fucking classic" 💀

Literally will have them asking you to make more jokes bc it makes them feel better in tense situations/battles (most to least frequently: Sky, Wild, Hyrule, Wind, Twi, Time, Wars, Legend, Four) but they love it equally

Okay but,

U have Definitely. Sent chills down their spines when u get into lower ranges lol

U dont understand why everyone needs to talk to you so bad first thing in the morning,

or alternatively why they keep wanting you to go on a rant abt ur fav book/tv show/thing either???

U are always the last for story time at the campfire every night, and unlike the others, they refuse to let you take a night off, u have to say smth every night??

It amazes u they like ur voice so much, huh, Wild/Twi/Wars/Four/Hyrule must all be getting a little too close to the fire, theyre faces are looking a little red/pink

(Legend and Time just look rlly pleased/happy to be here, they only ever look a little overheated when u specifically look at them while ur talking/or tell a story abt them, and they usually are always the ones asking u another question to prompt u to keep going forever)

Wars may or may not have a life changing moment he told u abt ur voice on his adventures where Cia was like, "Ah Link... let me get a good look at you..."

You: "... and girl, I am only looking at your tiddies right now."

If Wars had smth to drink right then he wouldve spit-taked.

It was like the one time he was caught so genuinely off-guard, and u just made him suddenly feel 10x more comfortable facing her, he literally couldnt keep his knight trained composure together, he had to lean on his knees he was crying with laughter

That was the first Cia heard of you too and she literally audibly gasped lmao

It was like all of a sudden Wars and Cia had been in on a joke no one else could hear around them (Shiek/Zelda is confused to this day by that)

And there are countless moments like this from each of their adventures where u did this, u cant help but feel mildly embarassed when u hear it at first

But then seeing how much ur voice and comments meant to them and how happy it made them u can help but want to talk more and more and more

Youve never felt more comfortable talking to this many people in ur entire life,

Bc u can literally see their elf ears twitching cutely when they pick up ur voice

BEST BELIEEEVVEEEE

u arent getting out of singing to them.

Yeah, sorry, theyve heard u sing ur fav songs while gaming too many times, they need to hear u sing irl, Now.

Most of them ignore or sort of passively enjoy bards/musicians on their journeys, but as soon as u so much as hum-

Its like they're all clambering to get closer to hear u, but also not make u aware thats what theyre doing, so they end up just:

Four/Legend/Hyrule trying to hide behind various (upside down) books, behind plants that're not that bushy, or one memorable time, when u sang "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" quietly to urself, a bard's tune got close and reminded u of it,

and Four fully threw his hammer on his toes bc he was so shocked/lovestruck, he completely missed the anvil and just threw it at the ground/his feet LMAO

Time and Wars, cheeky strategists they are, immediately fall back behind u wherever u are, so u cant see them, but they can still hear u lol

(Theyre the only ones youve not caught actively listening/straining to come closer to hear u... bc theyre behind u lol)

Wild/Sky/Twi all fully whip their heads around fast enough to crack it, then clumsily try to recover so u wont stop

Wild/Sky just fully accidentally like fall into lakes/ponds trying to stay just out of range or even (they both tried it once, and never again after u got onto them) got on a rooftop

And fell. When u got quieter they tried to get closer and- yep.

(Idiots were fine and smiling when u came to check on them)

Twilight.

Twilight's the worst ngl.

Just fully stares in awe at you until u stop out of embarassment, and has had the audacity multiple times to pop up as Wolfie and just happily listen like you havent also been thru the adventure that literally made him a werewolf

Wind is a cutie, he always joins in, esp when he recognizes the song, and since they can somehow remember the songs u sang while gaming, it will never not be a core memory for you to sing "Drunken Sailor" back to back with "I LOVE YOU HOE" by ODETARI (ft.9lives)

summary: a night where jungkook's actions speak louder than his words.

a/n: i was going thru reels and struck inspo :] hope you like this :)) koo calls oc squishy here hope its okay ^^ this is sliiiiiightly(?) personal :] oktybyeeeee mwah ily and happy holidays (sorry im late)!!!

"eat more, baby, i saw you skip dessert at the buffet. the cheesecake is all for you, promise."

your heart is practically melting, despite the freezing weather outside. your chest clenches slightly when jungkook remembers the tiniest of details when it comes to you, for instance, the buffet. being the holiday season, you've been nomming away (how jungkook describes it) at any christmas-themed food you see. naturally, you were growing sick and tired of sweet stuff, choosing to try out savoury things you usually never try out at the buffet you both usually go together for christmas lunches. on the way back, jungkook noticed your mood sliding down like snow going down a steep roof. he abruptly stopped at a bakery, promising to be back in 5 minutes.

now, your eyes have that sparkle when you have your favourite sweet things, much to jungkook's relief. you can get pretty moody when you don't have your dessert, which he learnt the hard way.

you glance at jungkook's focused eyes on the road, hand on the steering wheel and tattooed one holding your gloved one, absentmindedly thumbing your hand. you carefully give him a bite of the cheesecake, which he took happily. you let boney m fill the quiet and comforting atmosphere, spotting the familiar buildings which lead up to your shared penthouse.

actions speak louder than words and you never thought you'd be able to live through the saying.

like right now, where you admitted to forgetting to stock up on milk and apologized profusely, knowing jungkook was looking forward to making the viral hot chocolate going around. he held your neck and pulled you in for a long kiss, pulling back to peck your forehead, saying he'd go and get the milk and marshmallows, telling you to pull up the grinch and the cookies he got from the bakery awhile back. you weakly protested, saying it was way too cold and dark out and that you could always try out the drink another day. he pulled on his puffy jacket and beanie, vehemently declaring he'd make christmas night better by going out now.

he was always the first to run out if an essential grocery item was out in your pantry, almost never letting you go with him because he preferred you staying within the warm and safe walls of your shared abode. he always lets you lean on him, even when doing the most mundane of tasks. jungkook's carefully stirring the hot pot of dark brown and warm chocolate, arm around your waist while you read the instructions. you lean back on him, sighing at the confusingly tedious task of making a cup of hot choco.

his arm slides up and goes around your shoulders, pulling you closer and leaving an array of kisses on the side of your neck, his silent way of telling you how much he loves this evening with you. he pours the warm liquid into your favourite mug, looking at you while you take the first sip.

"oh, it's so good, koo! not too sweet but not too bitter, it's amazing. here, have a sip, baby." you hold the mug between both your hands, positioning it right infront of his lips so he'd have easy access.

"thanks, squishy but i'd rather take it from here," he gently puts the mug away, cupping your face in his warm hands and kissing you sweetly. "tastes perfect to me," he mumbles, leaning his forehead against yours and wrapping his arms around you.

"squish, i swear, the movie is great, my eyelids are just abit heavy right now."

you chuckle amusedly at jungkook's attempt to stay awake through home alone 3, his tight hold around you getting looser when he nods off. "come on, off to bed," you decide, slipping out of the burrito you were wrapped in when you said it was abit chill. it's 1.35 am now and sleep's slow yet steady hold on you is visible on both of your faces, laughing when you yawn together. jungkook's the first to get up, pulling you up effortlessly and letting you lead the way to bed.

you're the first to fall face first into your pillow, wordlessly patting the pillow next to you. you can feel the mattress dip, the covers being pulled over you and the lights are off. you shift so you can see jungkook's face, doe eyes looking straight back at yours. you thumb his cheeks, poking the dimple which peeks through. a tender kiss is placed on your forehead, followed by hands making sure you're in the warm confines of the blanket and get no hint of the cold winds outside.

jungkook maybe a man of many words, cheesy and loving but his actions will always speak louder for him.

he complains of keeping track of important days but you'll find a random strawberry cheesecake on your desk, a handwritten note celebrating 25 months of the first time you both took a trip overseas.

he's proud of you being confident in yourself, always full of compliments when you show up in the latest outfit for your night out. he ends up zipping you up in his leather jacket when he picks you up at 2.30 from the club, softly telling you that he'd rather take you home quietly than make a scene with the weird creeps looking at you from down the street.

he holds you close when the weight on your shoulders become heavier, knowing soft words cannot calm the raging storm in your mind. instead, he listens. he has you lean back on the couch while he massages your legs, his doting attention always on you.

sometimes, he has you accompany him in his late night gaming sessions, hugging his arm and finishing off his abandoned snacks. he fake winces in pain when you impulsively bite his bicep, saying it's his fault for wearing sleeveless tees around the house. he apologizes insincerely, tossing away his controller so he could get his revenge back by tickling you. it always ends up with him snuggling upto you, your adoring hands leading him to sleep.

just like how it is right now.

you cuddle up to him, rubbing his back with your hand while he simply puts his head on your chest, looking up at you to make sure you're comfy. you boop his nose and smile, eyes closing in content with your tender and warm lover.

Im glad my au is infecting everyones brain muhahaha

to answer, when I draw Desmond with yellow eyes and fainting like a damsel I think in my head its one fo 2 things:

1) he is having such a heavy bleed(hehe pun) his body shuts down and all he can do is to live thru the bleed basically, he would not be able to tell its a bleed even if someone told him it was one(they cant tho since he is stuck in the bleed in his head) so he just has to ride it out. It probobly disorients him quiet a bit once he gets out of it for hrs maybe in some cases days.

2) he is having visions from apple and its such heavy knowledge his human brain kinda goes overheat mode.

In the end you can determine yourself (since its an au nothing is set in stone lol) if he remembers or not but for myself:

I think on 1)

he doesnt remember all details, after he is out of the episode he probobly remembers who the bleed was about and some context but not all, but some stuff lingers for few hours sometimes days as mentioned. maybe he finds hard to switch to the language he uses the most or his emotions carry over, like if it was about altair right after he lost his ranks, he feels some petty anger towards Malik he cannot explain but he can figure out it was cocky-altair memories probobly due to context clues. for his other heavy bleeds where he is not passed out with eyes all gold I think some of the same rules as 1) apply where he doesnt know he is in a bleed, especially if he is bleeding as someone bc at that moment he thinks he is that person, but someone could snap him out of it if they tried (usually if he is bleeding ezio and actual ezio shows up he can make Des snap out of it but its not foolproof) and afterwards he probobly remembers most of it (to his horror) bc he did actively and physically live thru it. Like w the fic where he thinks there are guards after him but its a bleed, after he learns it is he still remembers them and sees them

but again I think the fun part is u can kinda make Des suffer in anyway you want (again…sorry Des…)so no rules are set in stone, so if you dont want him to remember anything after bleeds you are free to do so and ill probobly break these guides aswell lol

for triggers hmm i think anything you want could be a trigger lol but it doesnt have to be “triggered” to happen. I think like that other fic when he first time-travels and lands in Italy or Levant he would most likely have a bleed where he thinks he is someone else sooner or later bc the enviroment shocks him and confuses him (as time travel does) so something that “shocks” him can send him into an episode but he could also be totally fine in another scenerio

in my hc w the fainting ones, they are similar to seizures w how they come and go (I do not get seizures so my research is very limited) so sometimes he can guess it will happen few seconds to min before but he cannot stop them and sometimes it just gets him by suprise, for the ones where he doesnt faint he again has no idea when it will happen and most likely cannot tell it will, those ones are probobly more affected by “triggers” but they dont have to be as I said above

ending note / long ramble about the whole situation

its been a long while huh 😭 exactly 4 months. minus a day ! on a year with a longer february as well, nonetheless. its been fun, but i may stop drawing them now; not to say natsume has utterly obliterated my love for innovades inside of my brain (though i thought of announcing it this way with a funny headline like BREAKING NEWS ! natsume has murdered the entire species of innovades in cold blood. we are sorry for the inconvenience), but also as of late it did sort of become a bother to draw them; mostly because of the keeping track of it as well and because i did not want the draw rate etc to drop. i did get to 1/4th of my goal.. minus one ! im not saying i will NEVER be drawing them ever again, but i doubt ill be keeping track of it anymore — alongside that, i do not think i will be drawing them almost at all anymore either (now, for a while. but they may still appear here and there from time to time.. as all my past fandoms do), so if you were only here for them and not me & my works, feel free to unfollow. i will still be up to have talks about them ! but i just wont devote such a high amount of time and effort to them anymore. it is hard to say ive been slowly falling out of love with them, and mayhaps even harder to say im falling in love again with natsume 😭 and EXACTLY a year later after i last stopped drawing him too... which is crazy .

i feel like besides this, it was also becoming apparent that drawing them has become a chore to me ; i was not feeling up to drawing highly detailed pieces with them anymore that id spend time on. i was not happy with the results on many of them either. and things like the page of every single tieria outfit, despite it used to be a thing i was once hyped about doing... back in january when i just got here, it no longer was that way. yes, i pushed through with it, but it took me a very long time and i kind of disliked going back to it, which is why it even took me that long 😭 and was moreso just done to keep up the numbers of innovades drawn ; for myself, for others.

i cannot lie about the fact it did make me happy i was giving to such a small fandom and brightening other peoples days, and this is a big flaw i have that i tend to put others above myself, but this has become much too big of a bother to me to keep on doing it. i still love them ! not as much, but i still do, especially ribbons. there is nothing wrong with them, i just do not wish to continue essentially wasting so much of my time drawing things i do not enjoy drawing, unless i am to see it finished and thats all the joy i get out of it.

as for the requests with the innovades, i am unsure if i am to do them anymore except for a singular one that ive also not received thru an ask but dm, purely because i am actually hyped about it 😭 and that may be the extent of which you will be seeing anymore 00 content from me.

usually i type up a big thing after finishing a FFAK chapter. I feel like i have a lot of thoughts for this one, but ive been a bit too burnt out to put it together. all i can say is that im glad i managed to finish the first chapter in the second arc. I really dont know how the rest of this arc will go and it will take a long time to make it. Im amazed by readers sticking thru this story as long as they have. I hope it will feel satisfying to read where i take these characters from here, or at least illuminating on the deeper themes of this comic and what it means to me. In the mean time, i am returning to work on NRD and this chapter is also ..very intense to me, emotionally speaking. So it probably will take a while for it really get rolling as I still need to switch gears, but im excited to work on it.. probably for the rest of this year. NRD is much closer to its conclusion of the story and even now, i keep cutting and arranging things to make it more compact. It still will take at least a couple years to get done, i think, but i am in no rush for the experience. But trust me when i say, there's not much left. also happy eclipse! i hope everyone got to see it. i was in the totality zone so it was honestly the most beautiful thing ive seen with my eyes LOL so i am really thankful i got to see it.

🕸️ — she was nerding out in the planetarium one day n felt a prick on the back of her neck while she was reading a poster ab space travel!!! she saw it was a spider n just kind of brushed it off.

🕸️ — discovering her powers was so FUNNY. woke up feeling completely different n out of body,, took the subway to her campus and her hand got stuck on the balance pole n she was freaking tf out, she couldn’t get it off until like five stops later when she finally pulled as hard as she could n literally slammed into the empty seats

🕸️ — i'm gonna say her webs come from her wrists (tobey core) bc i know homegirl isn’t tech savvy enough to make her own web shooters so when that happened for the first time she nearly passed out. waving down a cab to at least try to make it to her class on time and it just flowed out of her into the air she very quickly shoved her hands in her pockets n just walked back home cus wtf just happened to her

🕸️ — def crawled on her walls for fun once she kind of understood what was going on, i’d say she used it to help her clean her apartment but lets be real here. its ellie.

🕸️ — never really thought ab using her powers for helping society until one day it just kind of happened to her, her body tensed up, hair standing straight up all over her body along with goosebumps. her mind felt like it was honing in on something until she turned her head, seeing a girl being followed into an alley by a guy and just knew it was trouble. didn’t use her webs cus she doesnt know how to rlly use them yet but she beat the shit out of that guy, using the walls of the alley to get leverage he was easily two hundred pounds heavier than her but god she pummeled him

🕸️ — finally!! homegirl knows what's going on after a few weeks, made a makeshift suit out of pjs (tom core) she loved swinging thru the buildings of new york looking for anyone she could help, but usually she just helped cats get out of trees, balancing on branch to try n reach them while the cat is just chilling there, “come on u ugly thing” finally she just webs them to her bc she is impatient asf

🕸️ — the news didn’t rlly care ab her all that much until she busted a hostage situation in a bank, swinging to the top of the building and working her way in through one of the upper windows. she crawled along the ceiling to get a view first, seeing what and who to target. this was her first major crime but her spidey sense did all the work for her. webbing up some of the assailants from the ceiling before dropping down into the spidey pose!! dodging bullets that flew at her, “gotta try harder than that!” n then completely demolishing them like it was nothing and saving the day

🕸️ — she lovveddddd to pick on her opponents shes such a cocky little shit, she would belittle them while very easily over powering them things like, “you guys need to work on your stealth, i heard u a mile away.” “this is what ur stealing? prison food is worth this?” letting them throw punches while she just dodges them and teasingly waves to them while they punch the air around her

🕸️ — loves watching the news cover the footage of her busts!!! sits back w some popcorn and just watches herself beat the shit out of these people, smirking while the newscaster desperately asks the audience to come forward w any information on her so the police can question her, rewinding and pausing over and over again to study her form to be better

🕸️ — gets so excited to put on her little pj suit she trips over herself most of the time to put it on before crawling out of her window to scale her apartment building

🕸️ — stopping a fatal car accident with her hands!!! just swinging and planting herself right in the middle of where the impact would be, putting her hands out n everyone is cheering and shes just like :))) “yeah i did that” waving and smiling under her mask she just loves to be appreciated for her work even tho it’s all lightwork for her

🕸️ — her first enemy!!!! first non-mortal enemy that is anyway ((cus the cats in the tree antagonize her to no end)) gave her a run for her money i’ll tell u that, she was thrown into a building n literally went thru it into the offices behind the cement they all looked at her like wtfff and she just popped up, “sorry!!!!!!” before swinging back out of the now gaping hole in the building

🕸️ — she lost that fight, sent home licking her wounds that healed over night but she felt horrible for not being able to help :( the next day she tracked them down and instead of being her usual goofy, cocky self she focused solely on defeating them and left the comments until after they were down, trapped in her webs. kneeling down while they wriggled in them trying to get free, “got you asshole”

🕸️ — more cats stuck in trees, “i’m trying to fucking help you” while she pspspspsps to get them to come closer cus someone complained that her webs matted their cats fur so webbing them was not an option anymore and she seriously would rather fight another super villain

🕸️ — posing in her mirror in her spidey suit!!! as dingy as it is she couldn’t get enough, looking at herself in all the angels and doing faux interviews with her hair brush, “ahhh its no problem really, i’m happy to help” wink. but when she was actually interviewed after stopping a petty theft crime she just kinda stood there like 🧍🏻‍♀️ n didn’t say much and when asked a personal question she immediately webbed the nearest building and swung away; she didn’t do interviews after that

🕸️ — smirking to herself hearing people on the streets talk about the mysterious spider-woman who was doing more than the police ever could, hearing rumors about who is could possibly be but the guesses were so far off that it usually made her laugh, women in power, well known women is the community, but never the unassuming college student

🕸️ — one day she’s walking to class n some guy comes around the corner n tried to mug her, holding out a dinky knife to threaten her. she literally just laughs in his face and he’s like bitch!!! i’ll do it!!! n ellie’s just like “i’d love to see you try, go ahead” he thrusted the knife forward just to scare her n she just grabs his wrist and twisted it n the knife fell she just punches him in the face n he’s knocked out cold she swears she could’ve done that w out her powers

🕸️ — as much as being nyc’s protector fulfilled her the end of her days were always lonely :( coming home to a dark n cold apartment and she longed for connection to someone, her parents have been gone for ages and there was no extended family to keep her company. she knew she couldn’t have a relationship with anyone, they would be in danger all the time n she couldn’t bare the thought of someone getting hurt— esp someone she loved bc of her. so she sat in her apartment alone, flipping from the news to her fav sitcom and eating expired ramen.

- he sends some of his boxing money to his parents to support them (he’s a mamas boy LEAVE ME ALONEEEEE)

- doesn’t exactly search for a relationship, believes that when he decides he’s ready for one the right person will find him

- gets dragged into world circuit outings by either super macho man or aran ryan. on the rare occasion it’ll be soda. one time they all went bowling and sandman watched aran ryan throw a bowling ball like a fucking baseball and it broke the ceiling

- knows how to make a MEAN philly cheese steak. will be mentally freak out (positively) if someone mentions they’ve never had one before. if he wasn’t so stoic he would be jumping up and down and going “YAAAAAYYYYY🎉🎉🎉” becuz he finally gets an excuse to make one for someone

origin:

isaiah joseph banks, known as his boxing alias mr. sandman, was born on april 12th to victoria banks and george banks in the Doylestown Hospital. born to loving parents, isaiah grew up as an only child.

isaiah learned to keep to himself and care for himself very early on, as both of his parents were usually at work. they worked hard to provide for isaiah and themselves, but always put their son first. they

the time they spent at work would be made up at home, albeit this time could never be fully made up for a young isaiah. he had spent more time with babysitters and nannies than his own parents. of course, isaiah knew his parents loved him, but all the bonds that were supposed to be formed hadn’t; the time frame had passed.

the time they did spend together was… memorable, really. not in a bad way, but every moment— every waking minute— made isaiah into the man he is today.

every night, when his mother was home early enough, she would sing him a soft lullaby. when she wasn’t, his mother had recorded this lullaby onto a tape for him to listen to. this lullaby was the song that made mr. sandman: Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes. it wasn’t a typical children’s lullaby by any means, but by god he loves that song— present tense intended.

then, a problem arose: school. starting middle school is one thing, but isaiah found out how cruel children could be.

isaiah was big, to put it lightly. five foot six at age 12 was enough ground for bullying, and being dropped off by a few different babysitters/nannies in the morning only added to the ammunition.

with how big he was, the bullying never went farther than verbal harassment. soft giggling every time he talked in class, glances from across the classroom, the bullying was subtle except for the occasional direct blow to isaiah.

his boxing interest began when he was thirteen, where his parents enrolled him in a self defense class that revolved around boxing and the sort. they had found out about the bullying from the babysitters, as isaiah had been reporting what they had been saying to him. there, young isaiah learned the basics of boxing: dodging, punching, and jabs had been added to his arsenal.

isaiah had always relished in the safety of knowing that he’d never get attacked at school, but unfortunately this was false.

it was brutal really; the poor boy had been caught in the bathroom and was attacked from behind, slammed his face into the sink, and assaulted from there. it took around two minutes for teachers to hear the commotion, but they were two minutes too late.

there, isaiah was brought to the hospital. no one truly knows the full extent of his injuries, minus his parents. if you look closely at mr. sandman, his top teeth are a little crooked.

nothing exactly eventful happened other than he moved schools, and everything was smooth from there.

his boxing career began to take off when he was 17, when he met an old babysitter of his— one who had taken care of him up until he was 13. he had become a boxing coach and offered to take isaiah up as a student.

if you ever ask mr. sandman in an interview about his boxing idol, he’d most likely say his coach. that man taught him nearly everything he knows, and even taught him the dreamland express move that mr. sandman is most known for, albeit modified.

mr. sandman picked up his alias when his coach told him about the WVBA and their boxers. it was almost inevitable he’d choose mr. sandman in honor of his mother.

he had his first fight at age 18, where it went swimmingly well. records of this fight have been lost to time, but, according to word of mouth, mr. sandman nearly killed the poor man.

I adore all your art with cookie and was interested in Sapphicworld- but I’m curious (so plz don’t take this as a negative-) what exactly in your opinion sets it apart from other Queer PBTA hacks like Thirsty Sword Lesbians?

hi!! thank you!!

so, a few caveats before i start off — one, i actually haven't played many other pbta games (like for example i know Of thirsty sword lesbians + own a copy that i've poked around in but im not very familiar w it), so i honestly can't provide much in the way of comparing/contrasting it w other pbta stuff in the same vein, and my impressions of sapphicworld are pretty much just contained to the game as its own thing, not so much sapphicworld as a Type Of Game

and two, while i am a dev myself, i'm a huge novice! like, i'm proud of the stuff i put out and i love doing it, but i personally feel like my lack of experience is such that like, i don't think my opinions in this case are particularly informed by my own work as a dev or anything. all this to say im happy to answer this question, i think i just gotta tackle it from a different frame than what ur specifically asking!

BUT ANYWAY. i can still talk abt why im so excited abt sapphicworld in a way that has kind of outstripped other stuff in general, and for me it's about the world 100%. like i honestly spend close to no time thinking abt the fact that sw is even pbta to be honest. not that the mechanics + gameplay aren't important, bc they are thoughtfully crafted and well done and fun, and i'm saying that from the perspective of someone who playtested earlier versions that have now been reworked! it's just like, not what comes to mind first for me — what's exciting and fresh and irreplaceable abt the game in my mind is like. it is fully committed to immersing you in an extremely lush, strange, richly fleshed out world, one with a long history and folklore/mythology and a TON of really fun npcs who all have different subcultures and its own calendar with seasonal holidays and regional terrain with specific fleshed out dungeons/towns/etc to discover and even like, specific FOODS typical to each different region and and and and —

and maybe at first that seems kind of overwhelming, and tbh it is. when i first got into it and i was going thru the playtest document (which if im remembering right was like. ~300 pages shorter at the time than the current playtest doc) i DO remember anxiously thinking to myself "god this is a LOT and idk if i'll be able to retain enough of this to rp convincingly" etc etc. but like... it's just really compelling, and it does an incredible job of mixing humor and gravity and horniness in a perfect ratio that always comes across as intensely earnest and makes it equally easy to have a fun goofy time or a really emotional time, which i think is REALLY hard to do.

and while normally it's hard for me to get thru something that dense and long all i can really say is that i just straight up like it enough and was charmed by it enough to pick away at it until i grasped it and felt like i understood a bunch about the world, which also has a curve to it bc in structure and tone its very different from any of your... idk more Standard fantasy or sci fi worldbuilding, so it's not like u can immediately slot in ur expectations from other settings and just learn some new vocab words, it's a world that from my perspective also Functions differently than a lot of other fictional settings in a way that's a little hard to describe succinctly. (none of this is succinct to begin with but ykwim). it makes me want to gm my own campaign, really really bad, when usually i have always been absolutely Terrified of the idea of gming! idk man. it has a Flavor. it's full of Vapors. u get transported somewhere else reading it and playing it in a way i haven't experienced in a while and a lot of times after a playtest session i felt like my brain stayed behind in sapphicworld for a pretty long time.

i feel like i am sounding a little melodramatic and incoherent but like. genuinely sapphicworld is just a fictional world that i am really bone-deep charmed by and interested in and when i WAS reading thru the rulebook for those first days it did not take me long at all to find myself constantly thinking "i want to play in this world, i want to play in this world, i can't wait to play in this world," and i just think that's really special. and like — just as your curiosity abt comparing sw to tsl was not intended as a diss or a negative, what im abt to say is similarly neutral — im a person who sometimes finds it a little difficult to click with or feel excited abt a lot of the Queer Indie Stuff that i see get popular with other people, bc it just doesn't connect w my specific lesbian + trans experience; not that it feels inauthentic but that im like, oh, idk, i think these guys are just. not My Zone, ykwim. on the flip side so much of the humor and heart and transness and sex in sapphicworld is something that really resonates w me and just Clicks in a way that i have also found really special.

rounding myself off before i ramble for like five more paragraphs but just as one more morsel of something i like abt sapphicworld that is a little more concrete than me spinning around the room yelling "I JUST LIKE IT OKAY": one of the most fun parts of character creation is getting to mix and match your kind (sort of like ancestry/species, the form ur physical body takes) with a subculture. so u get things like a werewolf babe (cookie! babe being a subculture that focuses on being Like, Totally Hot), or a centaur knight, or a minotaur debaucher, or a vampire cowboy, or an organist (cthulu-y tentacle guy) scenester, or a skeleton wizard, etc etc etc etc — there are SO MANY to pick from that when i was trying to bait my friends into playing w me i couldn't find a convenient way to list them all so ppl could start thinking abt their characters. and every possible combination basically is interesting and amusing and fun and practically THROWS a great oc into your lap and i literally think i could amuse myself endlessly just Making Characters in sapphicworld and never actually playing w them.

[panting, disheveled] so tldr. i like it. uh. what sets sapphicworld apart from other ttrpgs to me is that i have fallen balls to the wall in love with the very soul of it to the point where i don't even really think about it in comparison to other games at all and it has just become an Experience to me and i suppose i cannot guarantee anyone else will fall into insane homosexual hysteria in the same way but here we are. HOPE THAT HELPS

hello internet strangers want to hear about my personal life as per usual

well as those familiar w my lore know my title ix case (us-specific college thing where, tldr, if u get sexually assaulted u can do a little mini court case thru ur school) is finally fucking over + i won . which is awesome. unfortunately the respondent (title ix word for "person who did the assaulting") got preeeetty much no sanctions at all . like literally nothing changed . the lawyer recommended they be moved to the other dorm hall but they couldnt, so basically they got put on probation and that's it. Lmao. which means my situation is WORSE than before i filed the complaint, bc b4 i filed the complaint they were in the other dorm hall, and then they moved to mine. but i can't do shit about it unless i want to take my school to, like, court.

well anyway the respondent's life changed in no meaningful way Except they moved out of the dorms last month by their own choice. i assumed that meant they were embarassed abt what they did But i guess not. Bc they've been getting really into on campus events and hanging out in the central building that i like to hang out at. and its like. okay. whatever.

but the thing is . theyve been going to a lot of queer-centric events recently . and while im the only person whos filed a complaint or won a case against them. i am not the only victim i know that for a fact and the other victim is also a queer person. So can you see why im worried about someone who managed to sexually assault two queer people within the first week of living on campus like, integrating themself into the community like nothing fucking happened

and theres this school dance coming up in a couple weeks and im worried that will give them an opportunity to like. hurt someone else.

and i want people to KNow what they did because i dont feel safe with them on campus anyway but i especially dont feel safe now theyre talking to people and making friends (especially bc most of their friends r like. friends of friends. like i dont know them but i know of them yk) . i dont know what theyre saying about me (if anything) and i especially dont know if theyve hurt anyone else. and they might have! because they demonstrated a frankly dangerous lack of regard for consent repeatedly Like i think this is a genuinely dangerous person, whether by malice or stupidity or both, and i dont want anyone else to get hurt

BUT THE KICKER IS...! well first of all we're bound by a no-contact order (baby version of a restraining order). you cant be in the same classes and you cant talk to each other (irl, online, or thru a 3rd person) the title ix coordinator has provided jack shit about what a no contact order actually entails btw lol 😒. But if i were to tell someone and they went and told that person, idk if that would be considered 3rd party contact, which would get Me in trouble

i also dont know if it would be considered "breaking confidentiality" if i said their name- again, don't know jack shit, don't have documentation of the actual rules i'm supposed to be following. but i really dont feel like this is a safe situation for this person to be on campus with no one knowing what they did

im also just generally worried about them finding out ive told people and getting mad and going to the coordinator and me getting in trouble when the only reason im even considering this is bc, again, the school didnt do jack shit

and i dont even know How i would tell aynone . like im not rly friends with most of these people . i see them around and some of them i think are cool but theyre not friends or really even aquaintences . so it would be fucking weird .

but i dont know what to do and i dont want anyone else to get hurt . and i know thats not on Me, but. i also dont want to sit back and Know. and not say anytthing

"Hi, what's your name?" You smiled at them and it felt like their soul ascended from their body.

With nervous jittery hands, they handed you their album, quaky smile on their face "Yeong-bae."

You grinned and gave a curt nod before hunkering over their album, pen in hand, to write out whatever you wanted to write out.

Yeoung-bae just sat there, still quite nervous but happy to be in front of you. Usually, he was too shy to come to meet and greets with an album. He was only ever courageous enough to shake your hand.

But, now, he actually sat down and told you his name!

"Here you go." You directed that blindingly gorgeous smile back at him as you handed him the album, opened to the page you signed on.

"Sorry, it's marker and I didn't want it to smudge." You apologised but all Yeong-bae could think was that you were so kind, so thoughtful.

Before he could read the message, your hand was suddenly on top of his, warm and soft in all the best ways. "Thank you so much for always coming to my events."

Yeong-bae's cheeks reddened and he tried to sputter out something intelligible. Unfortunately, your manager came along, ushering him away so that the next person could take their turn.

Yeong-bae tried not to be disheartened. It was easy when he glanced down at the message you left him as he walked away.

You flinched when you suddenly felt hands on your shoulders and a breath against your ear "What's wrong?"

You recognised that voice anywhere. Instantly, you relaxed, a rather heavy sigh leaving your lips "Just nervous. Before concert jitters."

Soren turned you around to face him, that signature warm grin on his face "Nothing to be nervous about. You'll do great."

"Do you remember my tips?" He added, almost like an afterthought and you nodded. Those tips reassured you, made you a bit more confident.

Soren's grin only grew brighter. His hand moved from your shoulder to your cheek "You'll do great, love, don't worry about it so hard. That crowd is out there for you."

You wanted to argue that the crowd was out there for them, that this wasn't just your concert, but a shared concert between you, their band and a few other performers.

There was no arguing with the very sure and stubborn expression on Soren's face though. So, you just gave a nod and let yourself be reassured by him.

After you left for the stage, Soren watched you with rapt eyes, glancing away just quick enough to spot the paparazzi backstage with him.

He wondered what the headlines would look like in the morning.

Thankfully, you giggled, all soft and sweet and Ryuu felt all his stress and worry melt away. You really were so magical and wonderful.

"Sorry, it's the first time I've done a concert here and I'm kind of lost." You admitted, looking so cutely embarrassed that Ryuu wanted to scream into his hands and roll around.

"Do you know where my room is?"

Of course he knew where your room was. He'd been hovering around it for ages now.

Instead of admitting that, though, he just nodded and immediately turned around, entire body wound like a tight string. He was way too nervous to be around you like this and, yet, he didn't want to stay away.

"Wait a sec." You ran after him, your hand--smaller than his, oh so small and soft and gentle--suddenly landing on his "Sorry, can't see well backstage."

You probably didn't want to mention his rather long legs and his rather long strides.

"Sorry." He apologised as well but his heart really wasn't in it. He was glad to have hurried along because, if he hadn't, you wouldn't have held him like this.

Maybe he could stick around you a bit longer, see if you cling to him more.

You were meant to be after all.

I was wondering if you could write a saiki & reader oneshot fic with a reader who has DID & C-PTSD and paranoid tendencies? WHO DO I WRITE FOR?

summary: Saiki was used to listening to many types of thoughts, and at one point, nothing he heard surprised him. However when you came around, he was beyond confused. What sparks as a little curiosity might turn into something more.

He was used to it, or at least that's what he used to tell himself. Throughout the years he had heard all sorts of thoughts, at one point, he learned to tune them out when need be, having listened in on weird enough ideas that now don't surprise him anymore.

When you came in the picture, he was...baffled, to say the least. Confusing wasn't even close of a word to express how he felt. Your thought process was anything but simple. At times it'd be a fuzzy mess almost as if you lost part of your memory, other times, you'd think as if you were a completely different person, contradicting many of your previous thoughts. But what disturbed him most was the series of traumatic thoughts that would cross your mind. Flashbacks he realized in that moment.

In the beginning he felt annoyed, as per usual. Often times, he'd find you in class with a dazed expression, which to be frank, he had seen enough times to not give it a second thought. But then his attention would be caught when your mind would wander and you'd start thinking in a very unusual way. They were so unlike the person you presented to be, so much so that Saiki was left perplexed and in need to understand exactly what was going on.

The more it happened the more worried he'd be. There were days where you acted a certain way, and other days where you acted completely different. He could tell you weren't being fake trying to act differently for attention, after all, your thoughts lined up with the you acted and the things you said. Rather, it was the abrupt changes in your behaviour that had him thinking for far longer than he normally would.

Along the way, he also picked up how you'd flinch if you were in sudden physical contact, the way your shoulders would tense and the way your heart beat would speed up. Saiki wasn't stupid of course, he was aware that all of this was caused by some form of trauma.

He knew not to pry, yet his heart strings pulled everytime he saw you having a bad moment. So he began to follow you, in disguise of course, and even if he seemed like a stalker, he couldn't help it. Eventually he began to connect the dots, your reactions, behaviors, everything. It made sense now.

Unconciously, his words began to soften around you, his touch became gentler, he looked out for you in ways he had never done so with others. You began to notice but in no way did you mind, if anything, Saiki was someone you took great comfort in. What started of small slowly grew into something neither of you expected.

Of course, that didn't make it any less hard for either of you. Like right now. You were laying in Saikis bed, your head resting on his shoulder as you watched a movie, when suddenly a specific scene had triggered an anxiety attack. Your mind was racing through flashbacks of the many disturbing events you had gone through. Saiki was up almost immediately, having read your mind and sensed your reaction.

His touch was soft, his hands cupping your face so gently you'd think he was scared to break you, which he was. He was in no way someone who could comfort others easily. Nevertheless he tried his best. He attempted to lower your heart rate, rubbing small circles against your back as his other hand held the back of your head. No words were needed, they never were. He had, in a way, been there for you, way before you two even became a thing, so none of this was a surprise for either of you.

That didn't ease the guilt in your heart any less. You always felt bad. You knew Saiki could read you, literally. And well, it wasn't pretty. Countless times you had attempted to push him away, yet he never budged.

"'m sorry" you mumbled against his shoulder as your rested your head on it.

He cupped your face in his hands, pulling you to look at him.

`I won't let you push me away. The things you went through won't make me see you any differently, because to me you'll still be someone I cherish'

Your eyes welled up as you looked him deep in the eyes, finding nothing but love for you. Still cupping your face, he ran his thumbs under your eyes, wiping the tears away. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.

'I love you'

it’s obviously important for ppl to criticize misogyny particularly transmisogyny in trans male communities since thats a trans community issue but if ur also tme and the only thing u ever exclusively talk about trans men for is talking abt us as bigoted misogynists (usually there’s a ‘binary’ slapped in front of it) i genuinely think you need to put the phone down go outside and remember that whatever insane misogynist guys online are saying is not a necessarily a reflection of like things adult men outside of a weird fringe group of freak transmisogynist dudes on tumblr who think the boys should get our own word JUST like the GIRLS or its NOT FAIR!! or whatever (and one coined by a fucking terf at that..) are saying, or justification for behaving weirdly about an entire diverse community of trans people.

again i do not say this to like dissuade ppl from discussing legitimate problems but like a couple points- 'binary' trans men r capable of talking about it ourselves, and we do, and we’re not the ones whose posts get shared about it. and second: if you’re only bringing us up to talk abt how shitty particularly TRANS men are you might have a problem you need to deal with? this is not a shocking statement. like at some point someone has to point it out to you and sit there and take the shit and patiently explain to you it’s that the problem comes when its literally the ONLY thing you bring us up for and act like we're not capable of talking abt this ourselves, and that its a problem how comfortable ppl r for letting ppl speak over/for us if the only similarity they share w trans men is.. an agab and not being cis (yikes!). or if theyre transmasc and male aligned in some capacity but dont have any interest in engaging with or considering themselves a part of like trans men, THEYRE the ones who need to talk abt it, bcuz the (usually 'binary') Trans Men wont (not saying those ppl cant or shouldnt but they may be treated differently for doing so)

anyway dont take this post as a stand in for serious discussion and calling out misogyny (again especially transmisogyny) w other men, those posts do need to exist, i am not trying to say this stuff shouldnt be talked about. what i'm specifically pointing out is a frustrating pattern in the perception of and discussion of trans men that ppl probably dont realize theyre participating in. i do think it is very important to talk abt community issues and criticisms but if its literally the one thing you bring up trans men for i think being aware of that behavior has no NEGATIVES here. also do have to bring up i specified other tme ppl early on bcuz this isnt smth ive experienced or seen from transfems and their position as like the affected party of transmisogyny is automatically like .. if they have issues w trans men it is pretty inherently coming from a different place than like, a cis womans, or a tme nonbinary person, or a transmasc person with issues with trans men, or a cis mans, etc. tme ppl who are on a very different ground here, whose behavior is straight up different anyway

At first it’s only sabo. It’d be too much to spring everything on the pretty sheltered prince at once sabo and his dragon both know that they need to ease him into it so sabo seducing the royal is a good starting place. Sabos dragon gets some relief from the sensations of the event trickling through the mental bond.

Then they both lavish ace in attention sabo explaining that dragons are smarter then people think and how his obviously adores ace look at how he preens with aces attention. Then one day sabos dragon will not stop licking ace even when sabo initiates a round and one thing leads to another until the dragon is using his long tongue to ‘clean ace off’ which just creates more of a mess and a sobbing overstimulated prince.
