Like Ed is insecure about his height and everything but he's also literally 1/3 of the size as everybody cause he's literally 12. And Al love him to death is such a kid. Like yeah, his voice is really young, but also it feels like sometimes he just doesn't get the big picture in a way a lot of the people (adults) do.

Everyone flames on Ed for how immature he acts post Nina and it's like he's and actual baby!! He doesn't drink his milk! He yells at people for seemingly no reason!!

since ive already been pretty open about this and im not afraid to whack a hornets nest i'll go ahead and say it: if you were raising a kid in a pseudo-apocalyptic setting and then you found out that said kid was going to be the one to defeat the eldritch god that you have tried to defeat for half your lifetime and could never manage. that she was going to FACE that eldritch god it was prophesied. you would teach her how to defend herself and how to fight. like god i am not saying hero's trauma from it wasn't justified because i do think the twins took it too far but the initial process of training her makes so much more sense if you approach it at the angle of "this kid is going to do something we've been trying to do since we were twelve and couldn't manage and we might not even be there to help her so we have to make sure she doesn't die in the process" and not "we're going to make her fix our mistakes" it makes sense. goes along with lark's running theme of not being strong enough in the moments that matter and wanting to make sure nobody else ever feels as helpless as he did when walter was injured. goes along with sparrow desperately tempting fate with normal's name- not because normal was an accident, but because sparrow never wanted to lose even one kid to the doodler and it was a fervent, desperate wish to let normal get to be normal

actually. the specific phrasing that boy Kevin wants to kill older Kevin with "I must disassemble him, piece by piece, so that everything inside of the Old Kevin comes out. Only then can the New Kevin truly begin." is so incredibly the idea that to heal from trauma and "improve" you have to destroy every "wrong" part of yourself, that everything "tainted" by it has to somehow be replaced by something untouched (which isn't possible)

Old and new fans alike keep overlooking Yukio because "He tried to kill Rin!!" And sure, the way he acts is bad but... He's just depressed and has no one to rely on. Lashing out is pretty normal in this case, it's the only way he knows how to act, considering that he's been raised in a violent environment (he was taught to KILL at fucking seven, c'mon) he only knows how to be agressive, not look for help.

It's honestly amazinf how long he held out his urge to just go insane. He's been expected to be calm, collected and protect his brother since he was a child, plus he's been seen — more like he's always seen himself — as weaker than Rin despite the fact that he's the one with 9+ years of experience.

Also, I'm like 99% that Yukio knew that no matter what he does, he can't kill Rin so even if he shot him, it wouldn't do anything.

i think mike as a character has been severely overlooked/sidelined in fandom. i mean of course there is a lot of content with him, byler is after all one of stranger things biggest ships, but i feel as though there is not enough content about him that the fandom is producing. maybe i have just not found it and maybe i am biased because he has always been one of my favs, but post s3 with his head becoming full of rocks, the fandom has done nothing with him except criticize him or talk about byler. i want more independent mike wheeler head cannons !!!!! i want to see mike wheeler interacting with his friends more !!!!!!!! i want to see more people talk about the possible friendship between mike and eddie and how mike grew his hair out like eddie !!!!!!!! i want to see in depth talks about mike wheeler that dont revolve around his sexuality !!!!!!!!! i want people to start treating mike wheeler as a whole rounded character even if he is in an asshole place right now. he is 14 !!!! all 14 year olds are awful in their own ways !!!!!!

One thing that I’ve been thinking about is a possible route(?) this story could go, and that is Spamton’s trip to the Ambyu-Lances’s office. And boy do I feel bad for the Addisons because it’s gonna be hell on earth for all of em. Spamton has the mentality of a feral cat and this feral cat is going to the vet in the first time in forever. I don’t think Spamton is a big fan of large syringes, and when you have one of those chasing you down because well, look at him. He’s a walking talking corrupted program. If masters his glitches like Survey says, I can totally see him glitching through the doctors to make his grand escape™️. I feel like all the Addisons are gonna have to be here for both moral support, as well as making sure that he doesn’t attack his doctor. (Maybe they’ll sedate him a little? I know that’s what some hospitals do with rowdy-er patients LMAO, but then the Addisons have a whole new problem on their hands because now Spamton is high as a mf kite or something 😭) the last time I was under anesthesia my doctor said I wouldn’t stop laughing until I burst out into uncontrollable sobs and then I immediately blacked out💀

god a trip to the doctors office would be hell in a handbasket for this guy ;v; because he 100% has the energy of a feral cat finally being checked out

so if im not mistaken those last two diary entries were the first time we had lucy's unfiltered perception on things. before that we only had her letter correspondence with mina and mina's diary entries about her (both filtered through how lucy wants to present herself to mina and how mina sees lucy accordingly).

so im wondering how much of her initial confident 'gonna have a hot girl summer' persona was actually her and not just how she presents herself to people around her. bc those recent diary entries reveal a person who's anxious and a people pleaser (she wants to 'cheer up' when she is clearly feeling horrible just to avoid making arthur miserable) and a person who just doesn't ask for help even when she very much needs it. (she never asked mina for help, mina pretty much offered it herself bc thats how she is, and now that mina is gone, lucy is pretty much left alone against dracula bc neither her mother nor arthur seem to be aware of what's really happening)
