Almost kiss (May 13th)
word count: 707
@wolfstarmicrofic
Sirius is so angry he’s going to explode. He wants to break something but he’s sitting on his bed and there’s nothing to break. “What do you mean?”
Sirius can tell that Remus is also angry. His skin is blotchy and he’s pacing around their dorm room. “I mean, there is so way in hell I’m going to risk any of you getting hurt.”
“But there is no risk!” Sirius wants to hold Remus by the shoulders and shake some sense into him. “Why won’t you let us help you?”
“Because you don’t know that there is no risk!” Remus screams. “Who decided that an animagus is werewolf bite immune, again?”
“Mcgonagall said–”
“Everything McGonagall said is theoretical. And I’m sure she'd agree with me if she knew why you were asking her in the first place. There is no real-life proof or evidence or–”
“Remus, listen to me,” Sirius says, trying to keep his voice level. He stands up and crowds Remus’ personal space because he wants Remus to listen to him. He puts his hand on Remus’ shoulder, and Remus holds his gaze. “Animals can’t be werewolves. It’s safe. Lycanthropy only affects humans and how lucky are we? That’s–”
“Don’t patronize me!”
“I’m not,” Sirius says. He tries again, “I’m sorry. Remus, we want to do this for you.”
Remus lets out a shaky breath. “Sirius, I truly appreciate it. I know I’m being harsh but this is the nicest thing someone’s ever done to me, and I love you all so much. It’s incredible. I can’t even express how grateful I am that you thought of something like this.”
Sirius shakes his head. He thinks it’s because they’re standing so close but he can’t scream anymore no matter how much he wants to. Instead, he whispers, “Don’t talk like that. This isn’t a favor.”
“I won’t hurt you.”
“You could never hurt us.”
“I would never forgive myself if–”
“We’d be safe, Re. We’d be helping you.”
“Sirius, you’re not hearing what I’m saying.”
Except Sirius is hearing what Remus is saying, he just doesn’t like it. Sirius wants to enter Remus’ brain and poke around until he makes him see sense. More than anything, Sirius wants to make the most horrible thing Remus has to go through incredibly too often suck less, because no one in the world deserves to endure horrible transformations on full moons, but especially not Remus.
Sirius wants to say all of this, and he looks Remus in the eye and opens his mouth to do just that, but nothing comes out. Because Remus is looking at him all heartbroken and somehow hopeful at the same time and Sirius has never seen anything more breathtaking in his life. He doesn’t know what’s come over him and he swears he’s still angry and furious but Sirius feels like he’d implode if he doesn’t kiss Remus this fucking instant. And, oh, that is a thought.
Sirius is too angry to care, and he’ll scream some more after the fact, so he leans the tiniest bit closer and it may be his mind fucking him over but he swears Remus does the same, and they’re breathing in the same air and–
“This took us forever to find but– oh.”
Sirius jumps. He turns around and sees James and Peter standing in front of him. James is grinning and Peter is holding an enormous ancient-looking book.
“If I knew that making out with Remus was all that it took to make him change his mind I would’ve done it myself.”
“That’s not–”
“James! You–”
“It’s safe!” Peter says, cutting Remus and Sirius off and hitting Sirius’ chest with the book. Sirius yanks the book from Peter’s grip. “Look at the bookmarked pages.”
Remus is blushing when he takes the book from Sirius the very next second. Sirius thinks he’s blushing as well. “You shouldn’t dog ear library books, Peter, ”Remus mumbles as he starts flipping through.
Sirius chances a look at James and he immediately looks away because he can’t handle that much self-satisfaction right now. Only then does Sirius realize that it’s safe. He looks at James again and grins.
This is Sirius’ most favorite day, for more reason than one.

Beneath the White Sheets (Young! President! Coriolanus Snow x Reader)
A/N: A simple domestic fluff turned slightly sensual hot, slightly crazy, boyfriend who can’t keep his hands to himself. For my lovely anon who just wanted something less depressing than the typical hunger games fic
People are utterly stupid. At least that’s what Coriolanus had been telling himself for the past two hours. Being made president of Panem was everything he had ever wanted and more but he couldn’t stand how much conversation it involved. He could never stand to fraternize with those less intelligent than himself and that seemed fo be all this was comprised of. Though it all was worth it to come home to you.
You had met in school, what felt like such a long ago. Started as enemies as all good lovers do, competing to mentor the best tribute for the 10th hunger games. Yours had died before even making it to the arena, a fact Coryo never quite let you forget, or the fact that his won. But you were always quick to remind him that he cheated so it didn’t count. The same small frown would appear on his face at the mention of Lucy Gray.
You knew they had a history, but you also knew that nobody could ever love you the way he did. On a fundamental level she would always resent who he was, how he was raised, his “kind.” You on the other hand knew what it meant to work your way up from the bottom, to have drive and passion. You were one in the same in that way, but you kept him in check, able to dull some of the red that always tinted the edges of his plans.
The moment he bursted in the door you knew it had been a bad day even before he started ranting.
“I can’t BELIEVE these people, it’s like they think the world runs on expensive fabrics and tiny foods.” Coryo threw his suit jacket into the corner of the room, the white coat crumpling like a piece of paper. Running a hand through his hair he finally took the time to look at you properly.
His eyes raked your form, taking in the way your freshly washed locks framed your face. Your eyes were focused on him, that same worried look ever present on your face, it brought a warm flush to his cheeks. Even a year into marriage it never ceased to surprise him that everyday someone could care. That even after seeing him, the real him with skeletons in the closet, you still loved him— still forgave him. That simple fact was enough to make the stress of the day melt from his body. Shoulders dropping just the tiniest bit, jaw coming unclenched for the first time since he’d left at six am that morning.
He watched as you shuffled out of bed, in that same night dress that was just sheer enough to hint at what was underneath but not enough to satisfy his desires. Your pebbled nipples poking out just enough to make him want to do nothing more than to take one into his mouth and taste the sweet comfort of home. The thought of the taste of your skin already bringing a burning desire to his mind.
But you could simply fuck anytime, right now was for something more pure.
You floated across the room and wrapped your hands around his waist, burying your face in his chest, “I missed you.”
“I missed you too. I should fire everyone and replace them with you instead, you’re more intelligent that all of them combined,” he placed a greedy kiss to your lips before pulling away, “and much sexier too” his hot breath on your lips making you flush.
You allowed him to change his clothes wordlessly. Basking in the presence of your lover, Coryo doing the same. Your relationship was built on comfortable silence, if something needed to be said it would, but for now all either one of you needed was to feel the other.
Like a well rehearsed play you both flowed back to the bed, allowing the cool sheets and soft mattress to absorb your bodies until you met in the middle. Coryo wrapped every open limb around you until you were one. With your ear on his chest you listened to his heart beat. The rhythmic thumping grounding you, this was reality, white sheets and curly blonde hair.
“I’m scared” that statement sent chills through your body. Never had Coryo admitted to something so-- human in all the time you had known him.
“Do we have something to be scared for?”
“The thought of this being temporary fleets my mind often these days, that one day I will have nothing to provide to you anymore” The statement broke your heart. Deep down you knew he cared, even if he tried to convince himself he didn’t. Yet her he was the very thought of letting you down was terrifying.
“I don’t need anything but you,” You felt the held breath ruffle the strands of hair at the top of your head. “You are enough Coriolanus Snow, I promised myself to you because even a poor beggar I would want nothing more in this life than you”
“I have never wanted anything more than you” The confession surprised you in a sense. You knew you were an important part of the puzzle, but Panem always seemed to come first.
You allowed yourself to reflect on that as you watched the sun drop below the skyline of the Capitol, a warm orangey-pink engulfing the room. Allowing yourself to relax in the strong embrace of your husband, and give in to the sleep pulling at your eyes.

don't call me daddy V
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x little!f!reader
Word count: 4,660
Summary : In a world where littles are openly themselves, they volunteer to help and be helped by willing caregivers. In spite of himself, Bucky finds himself stuck with one and to keep the nagging away, he has to learn how to be around her with everything that that entails.
Warnings: crying, age regression, fluff, a little angst
A/N: i would like to give credits for this part and its idea to🦊nonnie because without her ask there might've not been a fifth part to this story. Having said that, i'm thinking this should be the last part of the story because i am out of scenario your girl is empty. but anyway, please enjoy this one and have a tight hug xx💜💜
~
When they arrived back at her house, she was asleep in the passenger's seat.
Bucky didn’t want to wake her up. He knew she barely got any sleep last night because of the mean cough she was suffering from and so he carefully carried her inside without a word.
His heart kept speeding up every time he would remember what she called him after taking her shot as he slipped her feet out of her shoes and socks and tucked her in her bed.
He frankly had no idea what he would do if she was to wake up little and if he was ready to be a good daddy to her. What if he messed up again? He seemed to be a pro at that.
Luckily, when she woke up later that night, she was her big self again and didn’t seem to have any recollection of calling Bucky daddy, or if she did, she didn’t mention it.
Bucky gave her her cough syrup and the rest of the meds, helping her go back to sleep as he presumed his place on the floor by her bed.
In a way he couldn’t explain, even her coughs were more comfort than the silence at his house, and definitely more comfort than his nightmares.
It was 12 days of little sleep, a lot of crying, meds, movies and sleepovers until she was fully cured again, and even though Bucky hated that she was sick, those seemed to have been some of the best days he’s ever gotten to live since he’s come back to himself.
He got to laugh with someone, care for someone, comfort someone and enjoy the company of someone. And not just anyone; it was her.
But something was missing still.
Bucky wanted her to call him daddy. More than anything and from the bottom of his heart, he wanted to deserve that name, that role.
What Bucky had noticed in the days he’d stayed at her place was that she had no family pictures at all.
She had framed pictures of friends, of herself, of Corgi, but none of family members.
It didn’t come as a surprise because she’d mentioned it to him before, and he just knew that if he wanted to be her caregiver, her daddy, Bucky had to prove to her that he was nothing like those who’d hurt her. He had to prove himself worthy of taking care of her; set himself apart from them.
And to do that, he had to know more.
“I see no family pictures anywhere,” Bucky spoke as he helped her plant the new tulips she had in place.
“Yeah, we’re not close.” She shrugged, hand stuttering just the tiniest bit in their movements.
“Can I ask why?”
She sighed, “why?”
“I’m trying to learn from the mistakes of others.”
She laughed, “really?”
“Really.”
Oh, this wasn’t a joke?
“You know you don’t have to do that anymore, right?” She couldn’t understand why he would want to try again when the report was handed and he was let off the hook.
“I want to. I really want to.” Bucky wished his gloved hands weren’t muddy as they were so he could touch her face.
He found himself craving physical contact around her more often than not.
“You finally believe in the power of the program?” She teased, keeping her focus on the flowers she was rooting.
“No, I couldn’t care less about the institution and its programs.”
“Not even Mrs. Morrison?” She joked again.
“I’m serious, doll.”
“Why then?” She dropped the bulbs, deciding to face Bucky.
“I want it because it’s you I’ll be daddy to.”
“They never loved me for who I was.” She answered his previous question and Bucky felt a pang at his chest.
He had made her feel the same way.
He remained silent, not wanting to interrupt her in fear that she might stop.
“I always had to be a certain way, say certain things, act a certain way. Do what we say and then we’ll see if we can love you.”
Bucky might’ve been speechless, but his eyes spoke a million words, begging hers for forgiveness for his ignorant mistakes.
“That’s why it hurt so much when you showed me you didn’t accept the little version of me.”
“I’m so sorry-”
She shook her head, stopping him.
“I’ve been rejected for too long, Bucky, too many times. It took me a good while to finally believe that I was worth loving despite my quirks, ugly parts and possible mistakes. Took too long to teach myself that it didn’t matter if I cried all the time, was too clingy or too talkative; I was still lovable.” She pointed to her chest as she finished her words.
Bucky took his gloves off, pulling her in for a hug, unable to stop himself anymore. He had no words, only anger and remorse raging inside his chest.
“It takes you a while to unlearn stuff you’ve been taught your whole life by the people who were supposed to love you the most.” She whispered into his shirt.
“Doll, I’m so sorry,” Bucky whispered back.
“It’s okay.” She looked up at him, “I appreciate you, Bucky, I really do, but I don’t think I’m ready to lose everything I’ve built inside me if you decide in the middle of it that you weren’t fully ready to take on such a responsibility. I forgive you. I promise. But I don’t trust you enough to give up full control of myself and my life to you again. I’m sorry.” She pulled away from the hug, giving Bucky the option to walk away.
“Don’t be. I understand.” He remained in place.
“Are you gonna disappear now?” She wondered with a sad smile.
“No, you’re not getting rid of me so easily.” Bucky returned the smile, putting his gloves back on.
She smiled gratefully, “I don’t wanna lose you either. You’re such a great friend. And I owe you forever for taking care of me those past few days.”
“What if I prove myself to you though?” Bucky asked, dipping a tulip bulb in the soil.
“What?” She tilted her head in confusion.
“What if I show you how serious I am about this and prove myself worthy of you?”
“Bucky, you don’t have to do that. I know you have a life, responsibilities-”
“I want to do it. There’s nothing more important to me right now than this. And you.”
“If you’re doing this just because you can’t accept that you failed the program-”
“I swear on my ma’s soul, I want to do this. Because of you, doll. For you and with you.”
The words died on her tongue as she watched his sincere eyes implore hers.
“Would you give me a chance to prove myself to you? Please?”
“Okay, Bucky.” She swallowed, “one chance.”
“That’s all I need.” Bucky smiled.
She was not sick anymore and he didn’t have a reason to stick around. He also didn’t want to push her on the matter of regressing, so, respectful of her boundaries, he left.
~
After their conversation in the garden, Bucky had to go home.
His heart was heavy when he entered his empty apartment to nothing and no one. Being alone in here wasn’t something he enjoyed anymore.
It has been 2 days of intense research that Bucky has conducted on age regression and partners in little space when she texted him that night.
“Mr. Barnes, can you please come over?”
He wasn’t particularly happy about the fact that he was Mr. Barnes again, but he certainly was happy that she thought to text him when little. This was an improvement and it counted to Bucky.
“Will be right there, doll.” He texted back, running to his motorcycle.
~
Bucky took in a deep breath before knocking at her door, ready to prove himself a suitable daddy.
She opened with teary eyes, making Bucky’s heart sink.
“What’s wrong, doll?” Bucky asked as he stepped inside.
“I can’t open the pickle jar and now my hands hurt,” she cried, showing him the insides of her palms and how red they were from trying so hard to twist the cap on the glass jar.
She was indeed a little worried that Bucky might find this stupid, that he might yell at her or get upset because she was crying over something minimal in his eyes.
But that wasn’t the case at all. The man was just thankful that she was alright.
“Oh, doll,” Bucky sighed in relief, glad that she wasn’t actually hurt.
Until he remembered that this was a big deal to her. Her hands hurt and she was frustrated because the cap wouldn’t budge.
Moments like these definitely required a daddy.
“I thought Mr. Barnes could help,” she sniffled, her hand wiping under her nose, “metal arm.” She touched his gloved hand.
Bucky chuckled, taking the pickle jar out of her hand, “what if I can do it without the metal arm? What would you give me in return?”
“The biggest pickle?” She offered, wiping her tears away from her eyes, her crying stopping at once.
Bucky laughed at her innocence, “no, I want something else, doll.”
She tilted her head expectantly.
What could Mr. Barnes possibly want? Did he want the whole jar? Would he at least leave her one pickle? She was craving pickles-
“I want you to start calling me Bucky again. No more Mr. Barnes. Can you do that for me, doll?”
Oh, that was something she could do.
“Only if you can open the jar with your not metal hand,” she challenged, her little mind amazed by the idea because look at her hand! It had red marks all over when she tried opening that jar.
“You got it,” Bucky said, easily twisting the cap on the jar open, making her mouth open with it.
“Woah,” she whispered as Bucky handed her the jar with a laugh.
“You’re welcome, doll.” He smiled, watching her chew on a crunchy pickle.
“Thank you, Bucky.” She smiled back, offering him a big pickle.
Bucky’s nerves tingled, knowing he was one step closer to her and his desired title.
~
Moving forward, Bucky learned to distinguish between her big self and little self through texts.
Her little self would always talk about him and herself in third person.
Plus, her big self always needed help with bigger things like needing Bucky to fix her sink or look at her car, knowing he might burn down the city if she went back to asking Adam for help with those things.
Her little self, on the other hand, would need help with the lighter things, the sweeter things. She would call asking for help with Corgi, something too high on a shelf or even just wanting Bucky’s company.
Tonight was one of those nights.
It was thundering more than usual and Bucky had wanted to go and be with her, but he didn’t want to invade her privacy.
But then she called and her scared voice saying his name had Bucky moving even before she uttered the words.
He was proud that she now knew that he was just only one call away; that he would come running whenever she needed. She could finally count on him to be there for her and he couldn’t be more contented.
He knew that consistency was important in relationships, especially one where she was little.
“Hey, doll, it’s okay. It’s just a little thunder,” Bucky cooed, rubbing her back as she let him inside.
“I’m not scared anymore now that Bucky is here.” She smiled, her breathing visibly slowing down.
“Well, I’m staying the night so you have nothing to worry about,” he chuckled, following her to the bedroom.
“Bucky covered his motorcycle?” she asked, worried his vehicle would get ruined.
“Leave that for now, we’ll hose it down together tomorrow when it’s sunny.”
“Corgi loves the hose,” she spoke out the first thought that came to her mind and Bucky loved it, laughing heartily at her comment.
The dog’s ears perked at the sound of his name, jumping at Bucky’s feet as soon as he entered the bedroom, waiting for his share of pets.
He bent down to give the dog some love when he heard her sigh.
“Corgi loves Bucky too.” She smiled shyly, internally wishing her name was Corgi.
“Bucky loves Corgi right back,” Bucky whispered, leaning in to kiss her forehead.
She only smiled bigger, running to her bed and getting under the covers.
When Bucky got down to sleep on the floor that night, however, she slipped off her bed and right next to him.
“Doll, the floor is too cold for you. Sleep on your bed, come on.” Bucky sat up, wanting to help her up on the bed again but she wouldn’t move.
“Wanna be next to Bucky,” she said with a pout.
“But-”
“I know Bucky can’t sleep on beds. It’s okay. Doll will sleep here,” she told him, squeezing Wolfie in her arms.
Bucky’s heart fluttered and it made his mind light up with an idea only a true daddy would have.
“Do you wanna build a fort?” He suggested and her face instantly beamed with a smile as she nodded.
Of course she did!
That night as Bucky gathered all of her soft blankets to make her a floor mattress inside a fort full of fluffy pillows, he knew he was smitten.
This girl had him head over heels for her and there was nothing in the world that he wouldn’t do just to see her smile.
“Can Bucky please tell me a story?”
“Sure, doll. Do you have any books I can read to you from?”
“I have books that big me likes but I don’t want those.”
“What would you like then?”
“I want a story that is Bucky’s. Tell me a story you didn’t tell anyone at the institution.”
Oh, she was jealous. The thought made Bucky smile as he pulled the covers up to her neck to make sure she was warm down on the floor.
“Okay, you ready?” Bucky asked, dimming the lights in her room.
She made herself comfortable under the covers, big eyes watching Bucky’s handsome grin as the cozy atmosphere he’s created comforted her through the storm, “ready.”
“Once upon a time, there was a small idiot who picked up fights with boys much bigger than himself. His name was Steve…”
Bucky fell asleep with his hand stroking her hair, watching her soft breaths leave her chest that night without abruptly waking up in the middle of it for the first time in forever.
~
Bucky didn’t know what it was like to be her, but he was going to do his best to put himself in her shoes like she’d previously tried.
She deserved to be fully and entirely understood.
He witnessed a glimpse of her feelings towards the concept of family a couple of times when they would watch movies like The Lion King or Lilo and Stitch.
She didn’t seem to be affected by the death of Mufasa even though he knew her to be a very sensitive little. She was sad for Simba, of course, but not for Mufasa’s demise. Similarly with Lilo and Stitch, she didn’t care much about the concept of the family.
There was an actual barrier separating her from experiencing any positive feelings that came with the idea of family. Because she had none to associate with hers.
With some more research, Bucky managed to find a few animated movies that didn’t seem to revolve around the idea of family love and how family was everything and whatnot.
One of those movies was The Willoughbys. The movie depicted how neglecting some parents can be and that 2 people loving each other and getting married didn’t necessarily mean they would love their children too.
It was a very unique movie and Bucky was actually happy they could make such movies nowadays.
When the song I Choose You started playing in the movie, Bucky felt her small hand squeezing into a fist.
He silently wrapped his hand around hers, offering quiet comfort and support.
“Bucky chooses you, doll. Wholeheartedly.” Bucky reassured, bringing her knuckles to his lips.
He looked down to see tears in her innocent eyes as she showed her feelings for the first time during one of their movie nights.
“Bucky chooses me?” she croaked, lip trembling as she cried.
“I choose Bucky, too.” She pulled him down by one cheek to leave a kiss on the other.
Bucky froze.
It was the first time she’s kissed him since he applied that cream on her burnt hand back at his house. She did it on her own, too.
“And I choose Corgi,” she said, running her fingers through the hair of the puppy sleeping soundly on her lap.
“That’s right, and Corgi chooses you. Family doesn’t have to be the ones you were born with, doll,” Bucky told her as he wiped her tears away, “you can choose the family you want for yourself”.
“Thank you, Bucky.” She hugged him tight, afraid he might not be real and that this moment is all made up.
“You’re welcome, doll.” Bucky kissed the side of her head as they pulled away.
“Can I choose Adam, too?” She asked, voice barely above a whisper as she gauged Bucky’s reaction.
She could actually hear his chest rumble with a low “argh” before he nodded despite himself, making her giggle.
“Don’t worry. I only have one Bucky.” She reassured, slinging her arm around Bucky’s metal one.
One daddy, she wanted to say, but she couldn’t. She was still scared.
~
Bucky knew that she needed her own independent time alone sometimes even when little, and he would allow her just that, texting throughout the day just to make sure she was okay, reminding her to drink water and take care of herself.
But there was one particularly hard weekend when she felt real down about some of her plants dying as the storm took them out of the ground.
When she opened the door she was clearly disheveled, hair all messy and looking like it hadn’t been brushed all week.
“Hey, doll,” Bucky spoke gently as he closed the door behind him.
She quickly ran into his arms, needing the comfort more than anything, “my plants are dead and Corgi peed on my new carpet and my hair doesn’t smell like shampoo anymore and I’m-”
Damn. She was spiraling. She just slipped out of his hug and on the floor. Oh no.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay. You’re okay. I’m here now and I got you, okay?” Bucky tried his best to reassure her, getting on his knees before her to look into her eyes.
“Okay,” she hiccupped, nodding even though she wasn’t fully convinced.
“What happened to the plants?” Bucky wanted to handle her concerns one at a time.
“My apple trees were pulled out of place because of the storm,” she started sobbing again as she remembered what had happened to her hard word.
“Okay, okay, tell you what, I’ll put them back in place, okay?”
“Really?” She sniffed.
“Really.” Bucky smiled kindly.
“Okay.” She nodded, trying to control her breathing.
“And we’ll throw the new carpet in the washing machine, and keep Corgi in his playpen with pee pads,” Bucky gave her the steps of how the day was going to go, leading her by the hand to where Corgi was.
“Okay.” She nodded again, her tears ceasing.
“And while the carpet is being washed, I’ll help you wash your hair. Does that sound okay?” Bucky asked her permission, wanting to make sure she was completely comfortable.
“Yes.” She was finally smiling again as well.
“Okay, let’s get you in here,” Bucky told the puppy before placing him inside his playpen.
He spread a few sheets on which the dog could pee if needed before collecting the affected mat.
“Let’s take this to the washing machine,” Bucky voiced his movements, wanting to put her at ease as he kept her hand in his and walked with her to the bathroom.
“In you go.” Bucky threw the rug inside the washing machine along with some detergent.
“Now what do we do?” He asked her, wanting to keep her out of her head.
“Wash doll’s hair?” She asked with half a smile.
“That’s right, get in there.” Bucky tilted his head towards the bathtub with a smile.
~
And for some reason, it was different this time. He didn’t feel all weird seeing her naked. Maybe it was because he knew her better this time and was familiar with her in more ways than one that such intimacy didn’t startle him.
He wasn’t sure, but Bucky wasn’t complaining, only grateful as she closed her sweet eyes and trusted him to wash her hair for her.
“Alright, show me how it’s done,” Bucky encouraged, instructing her to whip her hair to the front so he could wrap the towel around it.
She did as told with a giggle, dangling her hair before her and letting Bucky wrap it up the best he could.
“Off to the couch.” Bucky chuckled as he watched her skip in her cashmere bathrobe to her couch.
Later after Bucky has brushed her hair for her, he helped her get dressed and they went outside together to replant the fallen apple saplings the wind had knocked down just like he'd promised.
The smile on her face was new and unmatched as she watched Bucky handle her plants with care.
“Thank you, Bucky.” She hugged him close, hardly wanting to let go as they stood in the middle of her garden.
Bucky was now rooted in her heart just like the plants in her garden were in their soil.
She didn’t think she could be away from him anymore. She didn’t want to be away from him anymore.
“Daddy, I’m hungry,” she whispered timidly as they started walking back to the house.
“What do you want on your piz- what did you say?” Bucky stopped in his tracks.
“I’m hungry.” She bit her lip and looked away quickly, hesitant now that his eyes were on her.
“Before that, doll.” Bucky brought her eyes back to his by her chin.
“D-daddy?”
Bucky smiled a smile that reached his eyes as they lit up with gratitude. He couldn’t believe he was finally hearing that word.
“Daddy’s thinking pizza, doll. Sound okay?”
Her face glowed up with her own smile as she witnessed Bucky, with full commitment, refer to himself as daddy.
She nodded, knowing this was going to be the most delicious pizza she was ever going to eat.
~
“What is daddy thinking?” She asked when she noticed his eyes on her, slipping a loose strand of hair behind Bucky’s ear.
“Just thinking about all the things you make me feel, doll.” He smiled, turning his face to kiss her hand before it left his face.
Her face started heating up as she retracted her hand, tingles spreading all over her, “things like what?”
“You make me feel like there’s still good in this world. Like I’m worth patience and kindness and maybe even… love,” Bucky voiced his feelings, eyes dreamy as they watched her pretend to be focused on organizing her stuffies’ seats on the floor.
“You are, daddy,” she replied sincerely, hurting inside that Bucky might doubt this even a little.
“I can’t believe I was so horrible to you, doll.” Bucky’s sigh came out hot from his chest, holding so much regret.
“That’s in the past, daddy. Doll doesn’t think about it no more.” She smiled, her littler hand covering his own lovingly before giving a soothing squeeze.
“You’re just perfect, aren’t you?” Bucky held her hand up and gave the back of it a noisy kiss.
She laughed, face heating up more at the sweet attention, “no body’s perfect, remember?”
Bucky tried to continue laughing with her but he was still kicking himself for what he did to her during her visit to his house.
“How did you even tolerate me back then, doll? I was the worst.” Bucky covered his face with his hands as he threw his head back, laying on his back on the floor full of shame.
“That’s not true. You just misunderstood me and that happens!” She was quick to defend him, refusing the idea that he would even criticize himself, “daddy is the best.”
“I know, but it still gave me no right to treat you the way I did.” Bucky’s eyes teared up at the memories of his very mean words and actions, “I made you cry a lot.” He struggled to forgive himself for that one.
“Daddy, I forgave you, I swear,” she promised, her hands cradling his full cheeks.
She felt like her heart might stop from sadness if Bucky was to cry right now.
“I’m really sorry. I’m really really sorry, doll.” Bucky’s eyes were sincere, holding so much emotion in them that she felt her own begin to fill up with tears.
“Daddy, you don’t need to apologize no more,” she whispered, doing her best to hold back tears.
“You have made me the luckiest man on earth by accepting me as your caregiver, your daddy, and you’ve taught me so much, doll.” Bucky actually started crying, a lot of held-inside feelings coming out at once.
“Daddy.” Her thumb wiped under his eyes gently as she felt her own tears roll down, “don’t say stuff like that”.
“But I need to. Because you did. You taught me unconditional love and acceptance. You taught me what it means to live again. Doll, your patience with my terribleness has taught me that maybe I’m not a hopeless case after all, and that this shell of a man with a metal arm might be capable of things he thought have been wiped from his memory long ago.”
“Daddy, please stop crying,” she sobbed, pressing her forehead to his chin as her attempts at wiping his tears away have proven to be futile.
“I love you so much, doll. I love you with every old bit of me and if you’ll have me…”
“Daddy?” she raised her head, eyes on Bucky’s face, trying to read his expression.
Could Bucky really be asking what she thought he was asking?
“Doll, I want you to be my baby for more than just a few days. Would you give me that honor? Would you let me be your daddy for real?”
“Daddy, are you sure?” she nervously bit her lip.
“I’ve never been more sure of anything before.” Bucky promised.
She nodded frantically, afraid the offer might disappear if she took too long to respond, “yes.”
“Thank you, doll.” Bucky breathed as he pulled her to him, strong arms engulfing her in a protective hug.
“Daddy will not regret it later?” her eyes watched him, a small hint of doubt still tainting her trust.
“Do you like the moon, doll?”
“Yes.” She tilted her head, not understanding the relation between her question and Bucky’s answer.
“You know how our sky only has one moon?”
She nodded.
“My heart is just like that. It can only have one doll no matter how much time passes.”
“Oh.” She sniffled, trying to hold the tears in.
“I love you, doll.” Bucky gave her hair a long kiss.
“I love you, daddy.” She kissed his chest, her arms tightening their hold around him as best as she could, never wanting to be away from him again.
And she wasn’t going to be. Bucky was an idiot who let her go once; never again was he going to make that mistake.
He was blessed with her now and he was going to spend every day of his life proving he was worthy of this blessing.

Youngest Shadow- Chapter One, Two Sisters, Dad
Tumblr media
One | two | three | four | five | six |
I was never a people person, not wanting to rely on someone.
Especially family, I didn’t need help.
I am not vulnerable, I couldn’t be. I saw how it affected people on a daily. High schoolers in relationships getting dumped, cheated on, having to many dramas in between them.
It was unnecessary.
I had my small circle and most of them were blood related to me.
My mom, my sister, Bella, and my father who lived across the country.
Oh, and my best friend. But practically family.
I’m content in my lifestyle too. I didn’t need pity from anyone. Either way that’s what I get from everyone. Even my older sister who tried to act like she understands.
My life was consistent. Making sure my mom was happy, helping my sister from losing her mind because of mom needing so much adventure. Other than doing that I played sports, practicing everyday.
Trying my best, not to be the best but to keep up my adrenaline. Running helps the most.
Adrenaline kept me alive, if I could jump off an airplane I would. I would do every crazy thing imaginable just because of the adrenaline that came with it.
Even little things can entice me. My piercings, having to make them a secret from coaches to play sports. Riding my motorcycle anytime was the best feeling after getting it.
I snuck out a few times, not even to do crazy things but to just say I did it.
You would think living in Arizona helped me with keeping my adrenaline up but you’d be wrong. It’s the same thing everyday now. I know what’s around.
And the heat, don’t get me started.
As much as I love my mom, I wanted to be in a forest hiking, see a fucking wild animal that could attack me. Jump off cliffs for the hell of it. Ride my motorcycle on different roads.
Seeing my dad, maybe join him in action. Hunt with him even.
Speaking of which, I stood beside Bella, my older sister by 10 months. She had just said goodbye to some “friends” who seemed like they could care less that she was leaving.
I turn to see our mom walking out of the house, so much energy balled into one person. She had hints of sadness and anxiety pulled on her face, trying to hide it with being happy for us.
She thrusts a phone into the hands of my sister, “It won’t work again, baby.” She frowned, her face always looked like it moved with every feeling she had. Never being able to hide how she felt. “You put it on hold.” Bella points out, the tiniest bit amused.
“I did?”
I smirk, trying to stop myself from laughing.
As much as it is funny it is worrisome, how will we reach her if she doesn’t even know how to work a phone.
“Look, you also called Mexico.” Renée pushes Bella, nudging me as well as the three of us laugh.
“I’ll figure it out. You gotta be able to reach me and Phil on the road.” She exclaims right before she gets excited. “I love saying that,” she grins, “On the road.”
“Very romantic,”
“Very.”
Bella and I both say, silently glancing at each other.
Phil comes up behind our mom, “If you call crappy motels, back water towns and ballpark hot dogs romantic.” He jokes, well partially since he was serious.
He places a Phoenix Desert Dogs baseball hat on Renées head, along with kisses her.
Looking at them partly soothes my nerves about leaving mom. I’m sure Bella feels the same since we practically took care of her for so long. Even though it should’ve been the other way around.
Phil walks away, to finish packing the car with our things. Renée grabs a hold of both of our arms, clinging to us as we walk to the vehicles.
I’m driving my motorcycle, mom wanted to get a trailer for it since it’s a really long drive but I convinced her not to. I couldn’t sit in a car with them for that long.
Plus I have a feeling Charlie is going to force me to anyway.
“Now you know if you two change your minds, I’ll race back here from wherever the game is.” Her face strained trying to hide how even though it would be a sacrifice she would still do it for us.
“You don’t have to worry.” I force a smile, Bella doing the same.
“We won’t change our minds mom.”
“You might, Bella. You’ve always hated Forks.” That’s true, I usually visited more than her. I had a closer relationship to dad, due to my interest of hunting like him.
“It’s not about Forks, it’s about dad. I mean unlike [Name], I went two weeks a year. We barely know each other.” She explains but I think it just worsened our moms worried expression. “Mom, I’m fine. I want to go. I got [Name] there with me.” She looked between us, hugging her eldest, whose face drops once she knew her mom couldn’t see it. It was full of dread and doubt. I also noticed the regret but kept quiet when she wants to bring it up she will.
They let go and Bella climbs into the car, moms attention going to me.
“I want you behind us at all times, you do not pass this vehicle. And no swerving.” She furrows her eyebrows, staring at me. “And don’t be stupid.” I add with a smirk, she rolls her eyes in a humorous way.
“I just want my baby girl safe.” She pouts, pulling me into a tight hug. “You don’t have to worry with me.” I miss her cheek, pushing out of the hug as I knew it would’ve been longer if I didn’t.
“Alright helmet and jacket and let’s go!” She pats my butt, reaching over and getting my helmet to give it to me. She gets into the van and I adjust my wired earbuds so one goes into my ear, stuffing the rest into my jacket and zipping it up.
I pull my helmet on and I press play on my iPod.
Getting to Washington State was a breath of fresh air, not only for my tired hand but the change of view and weather. My sister called it gloomy, never paying attention to the beauty of it all.
Dad surprisingly let me continue driving my bike, it was bittersweet for me. Really it was because he forgot the trailer. I kind of wish he did bring it because slouching like this for hours is not exactly fun. My back will be aching for weeks.
I’m just glad I didn’t have to sit in the awkward atmosphere of them two in that cruiser.
We passed a sign that said “The City Of Forms Welcomes You. Population 3246.”
I smile to myself.
Passing all of the familiar buildings I was missing felt amazing.
We pulled into Charlie’s driveway, I take my helmet off, sitting up straight for the first time in a few hours. Charlie comes over and messes with my hair as I climbed to his torso like a little kid. We laugh and he hugs me back.
I was the first to get into the house, putting my things right in my room. Really throwing them on the ground and rushing back out to see if Bella needs any help. My room was the only one downstairs. Dad had to make add it onto the house when they found out they were having me surprisingly.
I was truly the accident out of the two. Only three months after Bella was born was when I came around.
“I put Grandpas desk in your room. And I cleaned some shelves in the bathroom for you two.” He was mainly speaking to Bella. I watched her grimace. “That’s right, one bathroom.”
I followed her eyes around the house, going straight to a picture of our parents when they were younger and in love. “I’ll put these up in your room.” Charlie motions to her bags.
“I can’t do it.”
I silently stand there as they both reach for the bags, awkwardly bumping into each other causing me to cringe at the scene.
She backs off, letting him do it anyway. Which she should’ve done in the beginning. And I wouldn’t have seen that go down.
After that… experience, I followed my dad to the living room. “That was, nice.” He pauses for a minute before sighing. I place a hand on his shoulder. “It’ll get better. This is just new for both of you.” I smile sweetly and he nods, swinging an arm around my shoulders. But internally I’m just hoping I’m right. It’s going to be a long two years if I’m wrong. “What would I do without you?” He nudges me.
He lets go of me, telling me about how Billy and Jacob should be here soon to drop off surprises they’ve been working on. The one for Bella I knew about.
And right after it was spoken into the air we heard a honk outside.
I stand up straighter and run outside. A boy my age hops out of the red truck, rushing to give me a hug. “Jacob!” I laugh, this was the best friend I was talking about. My absolute best friend.
“Bella, you remember Billy Black.” Charlie speaks up, obviously Bella came outside after hearing the honk as well.
I let go of Jacob, “Glad you two are finally here. Charlie hasn’t shut up about it since you two told him y’all were coming.” He teases our dad, both Jacob and I snicker at the two who have always acted like this.
“Keep exaggerating, I’ll wheel you down the hill.” He tells the man who’s in a wheelchair.
“Right after I ram you in the ankles.” Billy goes after Charlie who dodges. Jacob shakes his head, I take him up to Bella. Poking him to say something.
“I’m Jacob, we made mud pies together when we were little kids.” He exclaims, she squints almost unnoticeably. “Yeah I think I remember.”
“Are they always like this?” She points to the two dads. “It’s getting worse with age.” He jokes.
Jacob always had a crush on Bella, so it was cute watching him finally be able to interact with her and not be a nervous little kid.
Cutting us out of our small silence Charlie pats the hood of the truck. We didn’t even notice they stopped messing around. “So what do you think of your homecoming gift?” He grins proudly. I watched my sisters face contort to confusion to happiness. “No way. The truck is for me?” Turning my focus to my dad who was soaking in her excitement. “Just bought it off Billy here.”
“I rebuilt the engine.” Jacob adds in.
“It’s perfect.” Her smile grew bigger, and more genuine. It was great to see her eager and happy about something. Her and Jacob rush to the truck so he could explain everything to her.
My dad snuck up to me, handing a small box. I look up at him confused. “Open it.” He motions. I stare at it for a minute, glancing over to Billy who puts his hands up as to say he knew as much as I did.
I bit my lip, opening the box carefully.
It had a locket inside, the same locket I would stare at in the window of an abandoned antique store that no one would clean out. The place I begged my dad to go into just to get me that necklace.
“The place finally got cleaned out and I just happened to be on patrol before they got rid of it.” He tells me.
“It doesn’t have a picture in it yet but I thought you could pick one you’d like.” I threw my arms around him, “it’s beautiful.” I pulled away to look at it in my hands again as it was a delicate flower.

Monster Trio Swaps Bodies With You (NSFW-ISH)

CW: Mentions of smut, Also crack, Luffy and Sanji are a bit OOC
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luffy
“Y/N LOOK! IF I HAD MY POWERS I’D DO GUM GUM PISTOL WITH YOUR—“
“PUT A SHIRT ON LUFFY!”
He couldn’t care less about being it in your body, he treats it the exact same way as he does his body so please WATCH HIM
“How do i pee. Y/N. Y/N I have to pee how do I pee—“
“Sit down.”
“No I don’t have to take a dump I have to pee—“
“GIRLS SIT DOWN WHEN THEY PEE—“
He is laughing at it at first, but he doesn’t care too much
Up until he realizes he doesn’t have his powers anymore
He spends all day trying to teach you how to use his stretchy powers especially since you kept accidentally doing it to your arms
“You’re so bad at controlling it. Don’t worry i was that way at first too.”
“SHUT UP AND FIX MY ARMS!”
It’s fun to see him struggle with managing your breast whether they are big or small though.
He’d get so frustrated on how to properly lay down he starts to whine
(a bit NSFW) While in your body, he got aroused and didn’t understand how the hell he got so wet, you explained it to him awkwardly and when you gave him permission to “relieve” himself he demanded that you watch him.
Play with himself
In your body.
It was a pretty fun thing to watch, because he knew the exact struggle of why you always ask him to use his fingers instead of yours.
“How the hell do you masturbate with these short fingers? I see why you always ask me.”
Zoro
Freaking out because he woke up to himself.
“WHO ARE YOU!?”
“I AM YOU!”
“YOU ARE NOT WHO ARE YOU?!”
“YOU DUMBASS WE SWITCHED BODIES I AM YOU AND YOU ARE ME!”
“WHO THE HELL IS ‘ME’”
So after an hour of unnecessary screaming Zoro is pissy all damn day about the situation, especially since he can’t train nor fight like he usually does
“You are weak as all hell, Y/N. I can’t even hold my swords in your body.”
“Oh shut up you ass. AND DO NOT PUT YOUR SWORDS IN MY MOUTH THAT THING IS HEAVY!”
“Oh but you can hold it just fine when I put it in your mouth as I fuc—“
“SHUT UP!”
He actually gets upset about your breast.
“…seriously.”
“What? They’re heavy.”
“YOURS ARE BIGGER THAN MINE?!”
You on the other hand—
“Where are you going?”
“I wanna…I wanna ….play with it.”
“….with what.”
“Your dick.”
“…”
“..”
“….please:”
“No.”
“PLEASE ZORO THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY.”
You do but it’s not something he necessarily was happy about.
Sanji
(If you watched Punk Hazard then you already know how he’s ganna act.)
…..
You woke up and he was gone.
In the bathroom.
Taking pictures.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”
“BABY PLEASE—“
He was such a giggly mess all day.
His hand was constantly in your shirt, squeezing your breast. He tried not to smoke but you allowed him to so he switched between lolipops and his cigarettes to make sure he doesn’t harm your pretty lungs.
Sanji is so happy to be in your body he spent about 45 minutes trying on outfits to wear
and yes
he picked the tiniest
skimpiest
outfit
You had to actually watch him get dressed. Not because you didn’t trust him but he just wouldn’t hurry up. He kept standing in front of the mirror in y’all room ….naked. Just staring.
“Can you….”
“Your body is so beautiful Y/N…!!”
He was literally living his dream.
Even though he was a pervert for most of it he did take care of your body. He made sure not to bruise it when fighting, he kept you hydrated, and even made sure you kept up with your hair and skin routine.
You however kept looking at yourself in Sanji’s body and got semi-hard.
It felt…weird?
“Sanji…”
“Yes, my love?”
He turns to see you in his body, pointing at his dick and if you had any color on your face it was now gone due to embarrassment.
So
Sanji suggested something
“….How about…we..y’know…”
“…with our bodies switched?”
Sanji nods, and it seemed weird but the thought of feeling a male orgasm interested you
So you agree
Long story short you both do it and from that point on Sanji has a new appreciation for a woman’s body and now he tries EXTRA harder to make you orgasm more AND faster
so
Win/win?

thinkin’ about you
Tumblr media
author’s note: inspired by the song ‘thinkin’ about you’ by seventeen. also, this fic will probably get a second part, because i just cannot leave this on a cliffhanger without a sequel, that would be a shame
update: second part of this fic can be found here.
synopsis: you drinking a little too much and calling joshua to take you home wasn’t the best idea, or was it?
word count: 1.2k | genre: fluff, mutual pining, kinda slowburn, the tiniest bit of hurt/comfort and angst, close friends to something more | pairing: joshua x gn! reader | warnings: mentions of alcohol and being tipsy/drunk, the curse word ‘fuck’
your exam season at university was finally over, and to celebrate passing your tests you and your friends decided on going out to party at a club in the city. it was already past midnight, the party going on for several hours at that point, when you started to get really tired, having had multiple shots and cocktails, but your friends insisted on staying a bit longer. you could feel yourself get tipsier by the minute so you thought the safest option would be going home before you did something stupid or embarrassing you would regret in the morning. you took out your phone and dialed the first number that came to mind, your close friend’s, joshua’s. while waiting for him to pick up the phone your messy thoughts wondered to your long existing not so platonic feelings for him. he made your heart jump every time you thought about him, which was almost always, not just due to your feelings, but because you spent a lot of time with him on a daily basis as he was a very dear person to your heart. you have known him for as long as you can remember, and he was truly the most amazing friend you had, always being there for you, always treating you with so much care. he was like this with most of his friends, he cherished people around him and never took them for granted, you really admired him for this. you sometimes hated loving him, because it was so difficult to keep your emotions to yourself for this exact reason. who could blame you though? he was all anyone would wish for in a partner, kind, intelligent, considerate, caring.
“hello? y/n? what’s up?” he said as he picked up, voice hoarse, laced with sleep. “ah were you sleeping? sorry, should’ve known you need your beauty sleep to be this handsome.” you slurred, clearly more drunk than you thought. “were you drinking?” he questioned “are you hurt or something?” his voice sounded concerned. you laughed at this “nooo silly, i am perfectly fine, i had so much fun” there was a moment of silence before you continued “…but i need a favor, all my friends want to stay here longer, so i need a ride home. no way i’m getting into a car driven by a stranger, plus i don’t even have enough money for a taxi.” you expected him to say no, after all, it was in fact the middle of the night and he clearly had better plans on how to spend his. he sighed on the other end of the line “fine, i would much rather drive you home than letting you ask a stranger from the club to do it when you are clearly wasted as fuck.” he said while shuffling echoed in the phone, indicating that he was already getting up and changing. you knew he was right; you were not in the best shape. maybe the last margarita was a bit too much? “thank you shua baby.” the nickname slipped out on accident and if you were sober you would’ve gasped and started apologising right away, saying that he should forget about this, but you couldn’t really care less in that moment. you could hear the hitch in his breathing and the tension in his voice when he said goodbye over the phone, asking for your location and saying he would text you when he was there. you wondered; maybe drinking was a good decision, maybe getting a bit bold with words is what you needed as encouragement to tell him the secret you’ve been hiding for quite a while now, maybe you should really confess to him while you are not scared of the consequences.
20 minutes later you got the text from him and you were ready to leave. your confident march from the entrance to the car failed though when you tripped over your own feet, almost breaking half of your bones in the process. “oh my god y/n how much did you drink?” someone asked while helping in restoring your balance. you knew it was joshua right away, that voice cannot be mistaken for anybody else. “a little too much, i think?” you giggled. joshua took you to his car and opened the door for you to climb into the passenger seat. “wow thank you this is so fancy i feel like royalty.” you commented, still grinning. “well i do feel like a personal chauffeur now, coming here just to be taking your ass home. let’s go, put that leg inside so we can go, your highness.” he demanded while grabbing your leg, tired of waiting for you to clumsily get into the vehicle.
after he shut the door and got in himself to start the engine you two sat in silence for a little while before you spoke up. “i’m really sorry you have to take me home, i know i was selfish for asking, but i really didn’t have a better plan. i didn’t feel like i was this drunk when i was inside, but sitting here made me regret having the last drinks.” he looked at you at the red light. “look, i don’t mind this, really. you are one of my best friends, i would do this a hundred times if it meant you got home safely and some weirdo didn’t kidnap you or something. also, you thinking about me first when asking for help is quite flattering too you know.” he smirked. you nodded, eyes getting heavy suddenly from all that partying. “i can see you almost falling asleep. there’s a jacket on the back seat if you want it as a makeshift blanket. i will wake you when we get there. go to sleep y/n.” you didn’t bother to search for the jacket, just closed your eyes, letting sleep overtake you. “what you said is true. i do think about you a lot, shua. probably more than a close friend should.” you mumbled, already half asleep, still not sobering up enough to control and censor your thoughts before saying them out loud. “what do you mean?” his eyes went wide and he looked in your direction as if he misheard what you had said, only to see you knocked out cold, sleeping soundly like a baby. on the way to your house he couldn’t stop himself from replaying your words in his head over and over again while he checked on you from time to time to see if you were alright. he couldn’t believe what he had just heard, that you might’ve felt something more for him, something friends don’t feel, something he had been suppressing for a long time, a warm feeling in his chest. when you arrived he turned off the car, however didn’t have the heart to wake you. he knew you were exhausted, so he draped his jacket over you, and let you sleep for a bit longer, watching you rest so peacefully after shaking up his heart with your drunk monologue. he didn’t know if he should believe you, if he really had a chance of being more than friends with you after all these years. he got comfortable in his seat, facing your form, eyes looking at your still face.
“i know you are sleeping, but just so you know we will definitely have to talk about this little sentence of yours in the morning y/n. i do think about you a lot too, you know? you need to be more clear next time, because you cannot do this to me, driving me crazy and leaving me to chase false hopes.”

Gift shopping : Morpheus x reader
Christmas bingo day 17: gift shopping
Tumblr media
She loved Christmas. Truly. Every tradition, every dish, every carol. All that came with the holiday season.
Except one thing.
Gift shopping.
Wondering around the stalls trying to figure out what the donee would like was a literal nightmare. Doing her best to choose something better and at least a bit more original then the scented toiletries set became equal to being slowly burned on the stake in her mind. The hell was she supposed to know what smell of a body wash would her cousin like? Or what colour was her aunt's favourite?
And that itself wouldn't even be the worst if it wasn't for the advertisements coming from every way giving her anxiety.
But when she suggested that maybe the family could do one year without the presents they all gave her as condemning looks as if she was at least an antichrist.
Damn.
She was putting off this duty for so long, repressing it from her mind that in the end, she was forced to rush through the shops at the last minute, feeling the pressure on her shoulders. Which was also bad for her self esteem cause y/n was always considered the one with the greatest and most creative ideas.
Yes, but only given the right amount of time, not acting in a hurry.
But what she didn't expect was to end up sleeping on her desk one night and getting some help.
Once she opened her eyes, she was in a quite different place. Yes, it did look like her hometown, but giving a strange vibe that only confirmed her beliefs that she was in fact far away from reality.
"Lucid dreaming" she muttered to herself with a deep sigh. Waking up (sort of) in dream's domain and co conscious about it could only mean one thing. She was here for bussiness. Morpheus wanted something from her, cause he rarely did things selflessly. "Dream of the endless!" She called "how can I be of service to you today?!"
The silence was the only answer she got, and such treatment made her groan in frustration. She really didn't have time for silky games with Dream, the duties falling upon her shoulders...
"you are in the only place when imagination knows no bounds and you dare complaining?"
"I'm merely thinking." She retorted crossing her arms. "Lord Morpheus."
"long time no see y/n"
"don't tell me you missed me or something."
"one cannot really miss the way you address him"
"that's not the answer. Why am I here?"
Dream didn't answer instead turning his back to her and starting walking ahead not even caring whether she follows.
Which she didn't not really wanting to give him satisfaction of complying. At least not until the ground started cracking behind her and she was forced to rush after dream, causing about him acting like a kid.
"Morpheus." She said getting bold enough to use his name even though he ignored her once again. "Morpheus." She repeated, foolishly hoping for another outcome but it was futile. "Lord Morpheus" finally the official title made him look at her with tiniest amused smile.
"yes?"
"why am I here, um- consciously?"
"your imagination seems to be running short."
"not sure if that's an offence, state of facts ot reveling that you were stalking me..."
"you think too much of yourself" he said with the flat voice leading her across the dreaming bridge
"then why-?"
"I'm going to boost it"
"boost what?" Now she was almost running after him trying to keep up the tempo pretty sure he was making her move slower on purpose. "My imagination? Why? To prove you are better or something? You're the lord of the dreams, damnit, a creature of centuries old. I think it's pretty obvious you are more qualified in the ideas subject than me."
He didn't even give her a word of response, guiding her inside the palace to the ground where no one else was allowed to and it was making less and less sense by a second. And since asking questions was obviously pointless she decided to just settle on observation. Taking it the huge Christmas tree, decorations placed here and there and colours that seemed to take over the whole palace. It gave such a contrasting vibe to the usual outlook of the place and dream's character that it left the girl with eyes wide and mouth agape.
"you did this?" She whispered almost feeling the warmth coming from the interior instead of darkness and gloominess.
"dreamers did" Morpheus retorted sternly, but time it had a tone of softness to it. "It's the only thing on their mind of late."
"you could have prevented it though. And didn't." She smiled "never took you as for a fan of festivities"
"why?" Dream seemed truly interested about it.
"why?" There were so many reasons to assume that he didn't enjoy Christmas but she was not going to bring them up "I don't know. Maybe I was being judgemental, sorry. It is actually pretty beautiful. Holiday spirit kingdom of dreams" she pointed out, her gaze now resting on the boxes under the tree.
"You can open them."
"i can what now?" She frowned in confusion even though her hands were tingling in anticipation to see what was hidden inside "why?"
"cause you lack inspiration." The answer made her frown even more.
"and you're really going to help me out here?" There was this little fear in the back of her mind that if she didn't follow the order she would actually encounter some nightmares on her way. "Why? Why would you--" it made zero sense. She was just a human with no greater meaning. A human, whose path happened to cross with Dream's when he was retrieving his attributes and restoring his kingdom back to greatness. She meant nothing, right?
Right?
Dream didn't make it easy on her giving her the silence and just pointing towards the packages stacked under the tree. Leaving her with no choice but to grab the closest one and pulling at the ribbon, innate curiousity taking over.
However, before she could actually take a peek inside -
"y/n! Y/n wake up! We've overslept! We'll be late for classes!"
Shit.
Y/n could not care less about adulting, duties and classes right now, torn from the Christmas version of the Dreaming, groaning at the lost opportunity of seeing what Morpheus considered a gift. And getting her imagination boosted. Once in a lifetime opportunity cause she was aware Dream would not be generous again.
Shit
But her still hazy mind, slowly started working and much to her surprise she found out, that even without seeing the box in the Dreaming actually got the gifts ideas.
***
"did your family like the presents?"
"they actually did, thank you" she smiled softly as the familiar dark dressed silhouette joined her on the bridge. She has been watching the skaters on the ice rink, not really expecting company but dream's appearance was actually warmly welcomed.
"it was all you who did this. It was your imagination"
"Maybe. But it was only because I was given the right incentive" her eyes sparkled a bit as she gave him a happy look "thank you Morpheus, even though I still don't understand why you did it. Guess I'll be left waiting for some sort of collecting the debt on your part" she chuckled before turning head back to watch the people skating.
Maybe that was why she missed the tiny amused smile formed on Dream lord's face.
The smile that was screaming without words.
This was not a debt he was going to collect in the future. Not when it came to her.

~~
There was barely any times Jenna felt abandoned, hopeless, trapped, and there were even less times where Jenna felt this way about a woman, an ordinary citizen. Vulnerable was never a side she would welcome, it made her feel weak, an easy access for Gio, so when you came along, you were an anomaly, you were only supposed to be a one-night stand, she would never admit it but the heat of her heart upon talking to you melted the layer of ice she projects.
Oh, how she wishes she had never spoken to you, you would’ve been safe, if everything she cares for would be destroyed, if she had never spoken to you, crimson would have never painted her hands, your crimson, your blood spilt was a reminder this was all her fault.
But, would there have been more regret if she left you alone that night? There was barely any times Jenna felt vulnerable, but when she’s with you, that’s what she is, and tonight, she was more vulnerable than ever. Vulnerability wasn’t welcomed, but it encased every inch of her.
“Jen, you have to let go of her.” Viv sighs, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Jenna winces away, “NO, no, I can’t, I can’t, please, Viv.”
“Hun, I know you don’t want to, but we have to get her on this stretcher so Kaman can take of her.”
“I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF HER.” Now in a softer tone and as her tears fall, she repeats, “I was supposed to take care of her.”
Viv understood her feelings, she didn’t want to lose you either, and at the possibility of losing you, she couldn’t lose Jenna the same night, “Jenna, this isn’t your fault, you have to get that through your head.”
How she would give up anything in the world right now to see your seraphic smile again, she’d trade her throne, she’d take off her mafia crown and let the city fall into the hands of Gio Marcello if it meant your hands could caress her face once more. The weakened brunette, always so contumacious, never giving in, but she knew she had to, just this once, although, she was a great negotiator.
“Can I at least hold her in the stretcher?” There was always a fierceness in her eyes, Viv and Bruce knew that look all too well, but seeing her like this was different, the same knots in their backs that Jenna’s stubbornness caused were untied by her weakness, well in Jenna’s eyes, her weakness, but in reality, it was proof she’s just like any other citizen on the street, hurt and scared, in this moment, she wasn’t the most feared woman, wasn’t the crown heir to the Ortega family, she wasn’t a playboy, she wasn’t egotistical, she wasn’t arrogant, she was just Jenna.
“Oh, baby, I don’t thin-.”
“Of-course, you can Jenna, I just need to to be careful and still so I can take her vitals administer an IV.” Kaman, the head doctor of the towers, cuts in.
“I promise.”
As the two of you are whisked away into a nearby elevator, Viv and Bruce stay back, as much as they wanted to accompany their friends, they knew they had a job to do, they couldn’t let the family fall, not when Jenna needs them most, and so with unspoken words, the two of them knew exactly what to do. Bruce manning a team of soldiers, investigating what happened and who caused this mess, and Viv staying remote collecting intel from Bruce whilst trying to hold the integrity of the tower when their leader has fallen. Temporarily of course, hopefully.
~~
Ignorance is bliss is the saying, and Bruce so wanted to bathe in this bliss, the bliss where he doesn’t find out what happened to you, his demeanour paints itself as large rottweiler, physically, his brute strength would scare any normal human being away but, on the inside, he had a heart as strong as the winds on top of mountains.
For you, his heart welcomed you in, he won’t ever admit it to Jenna, only because she’d deny it, but when he senses Jenna truly cares for someone, his love and care automatically calls out for that same person. His overprotectiveness over you blames himself slightly for what happened, but not as much as Jenna did.
“Bruce, we found y/n’s blood and smashed up cameras from across the street and corners, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologise.” His flat tone masking the fact he’s trying his best to hold everything. “Were you guys able to find anything else?”
“Right, and unfortunately not.”
Bruce sighs deeply with remorse, “shit, wait okay, okay, get the smashed cameras to Ammo in tech, she’s savvy with these things, it’s slim, but we have to try.”
One of his soldiers’ nods and the rest start collecting fragments of evidence alongside the actual cameras. “Hey Viv, we might have something, meet me on Ammo’s floor, she might be able to resurrect the SD card from the cameras.”
~~
As much as she wanted to stay, the force of her wanted to leave, Jenna held you for so long, but she got so lost in the pain, she forgot the copious amount of regret and guilt she’d feel when you woke up and saw her face, you told her you hate her, but did you mean it? Either way, she wanted nothing to do with these feelings, you’re better off waking up next to someone you love.
“Jenna?” Kaman, looks up from you after doing her regular check, “where are you going, sweetie, doctor intuition tells me she’ll be waking up soon.”
“Out.” Her body was shutting her heart down, her brain is in control now and maybe it should’ve stayed in control, not passing on the torch to her heart, a lot of regret wouldn’t have existed if that were the case. Jenna grits her teeth and lets out a breath through the minuscule gaps between, “I’m calling Solana, her best friend, she deserves to know what happened, and she,” now pointing at you with her forehead, eyebrows “she deserves someone else here.”
“You’re running away again, Jenna.”
“What else am I supposed to do?” Jenna bites back.
“Stay.”
“That’s not an option.” Jenna, now using a tone you’d only hear from a mother. Before Kaman could say anything else, the space between you and her had been closed off, and that wasn’t the only thing restrictive.
There was something about the night ambiance that always provided fresh air, each molecule of oxygen that raced through her body was pure, antonymous with the blood spilt over the years as a result of her hands.
Hello? Who is this?
Hi Solana, sorry for the late-night call but something happened, oh, it’s Jenna by the way.
Though it was over the phone, Jenna could feel Sol’s heart drop.
OH! Jenna, hi, Sol is fine by the way, is y/n okay? I’ve been trying to reach her, but I can’t seem to get a hold of her.
There was an accident… Can you come to the towers?
Fuck, okay, I’m on my way.
Once Sol walks into, Jenna is greeted with a heavy heart, yet a kind smile. “Is she okay?”
“She will be, she’s going to wake up soon, she’ll want you there, just head up to the floor marked with H.”
“Aren’t you coming with?”
At this very moment, something clouded the air, you couldn’t see it, feel it nor smell it but something in the air that made Jenna retain why she’s not going up with Sol, “she needs you, not me and plus, I have to do something.” That last line was a ramble, she didn’t have to do anything, not at this very moment, but she couldn’t go see you. Couldn’t or won’t?
Sol sighs and takes a step towards Jenna, “okay,” the mafia queen had never been easy to read, no one knew what went on inside of her, but tonight, Sol read her like a novel, but she didn’t want to push. “You know,” caressing Jenna’s hand “whatever happened, it wasn’t your fault, Jenna, no one blames you.” Jenna didn’t have the courage to look at Sol in the eyes, all she could muster up was “y/n does.”
“I’ve known her for years, I share a soul with her, pun intended,” trying to make Jenna smile, but Sol is sure that joke flew over her head, “she doesn’t blame you.” Sol’s last attempt to console Jenna and try to convince her to come up but stubborn is Jenna’s middle name, so all she could give Sol was a headshake and a smile as the elevator doors close.
Maybe I should go to her. A constant thought that flooded Jenna’s mind but in the split second where she was about to press the button marked ‘H’ on the elevator, a text from Viv telling her to meet them on the tech floor came through, directing her finger towards the button marked ‘T’ instead.
Walking into the office, Jenna’s fist immediately clenches up at the sight of smashed up cameras with intricate wires tangled up within each other. “For the sake of everyone in the city, PLEASE tell me you’ve found something,” there was desperation in her tone, she wanted to throw the closest object across the room but the breath she takes seems to calm her down enough to hear her little posse out.
Like Alvin and the Chipmunks, Bruce, Viv, and Ammo avert their gaze from the screen to Jenna, “this right here is why you pay me six figures.” Ammo retorts, making Jenna giggle a bit, the first time a positive sound escaped her mouth since finding out you were hurt.
“Alright, no need to boast, especially when I make 10.” Jenna smirks and Ammo rolls her eyes.
“How’s y/n?” Viv says with concern.
“Ah, she’s great?” There was some hesitation when she answered, truthfully, she doesn’t know how you are, when she left you, you were stable, but she doesn’t know how you are. “I’m not really sure, Sol is up with her, and I got a text from Kaman that she woke up when I was on the way up.”
“And you’re not there?” Viv exclaims with such flash.
“She won’t want me there.”
Viv inflates her cheeks to the brim with air before letting out a huff, “Ammo, will you please pass me the magazine on your desk.” As no words were exchanged, Viv starts to roll up the paper and trains her eyes at Jenna, no one knew what was going to happen next.
“BAD, JENNA, BAD.” Viv screams as she knocks Jenna on the head with the magazine, at the same time, Jenna extends her arms above her head, flinching away at every hit as a way to protect herself.
“VIV?” Jenna squeals, “what was that for?” she then questions whilst Bruce and Ammo try so hard not to laugh as tears form in their eyes.
“That’s for being here, waltzing around like an idiot when you should be waltzing around like an idiot up there,” Viv pointer finger erects up, “you know, with y/n?”
“I just- she doesn’t, she hates? Aw for fucks sake, just show the video, stop lingering on me.” Jenna commands, not wanting to talk about her feelings, and definitely not wanting to talk about her feelings for you. What feelings? Does she even have feelings for you?
“Are you sure? It’s a bit, well you know.” Viv informs.
“How much blood have I washed from my hands?” Jenna bites back.
“Yeah, but you didn’t have feelings for said blood.” Viv points out, making Bruce and Ammo scoff out a laugh.
“What? I don’t have feelings for y/n!” Jenna starts getting all defensive and in unison just like the chipmunks, the group of three goes “mhmhm.”
“Ugh, whatever, just play the video.” As the video plays, Jenna watches what that night was like for you, in clear technicolour, how the man had followed you like a predator set on his prey. And as his palm lands on your face, she squirms, she doesn’t want to go on, she doesn’t want to see you like this. No amount of violence she had witnessed and caused could ever prepare her for what she was watching.
JENNA! JENNA! PLEASE, JENNA, PLEASE, JUST STOP!
The colour drained from Jenna’s face as quickly as the rage set in, once she heard the first syllable of her name, she knew you were calling out to her and it was all too much for her, there was water setting on her tongue, if she saw anymore, she was sure she’d throw up everywhere. Jenna rushes out the office, accidentally slamming the glass door behind her, drawing the attention of the other tech workers to her, but their gazes quickly returned to their screens as they realise who they were staring at.
“Jenna, are you okay?” Viv asks as she closes the door behind her, Jenna couldn’t hold eye contact with her, too scared that tears would start streaming down her face if she had seen the softness of Viv’s face; concerned for her dear friend.
“I’m fine.” The words just barely making it through her teeth.
“You’re not, and that’s okay, I just need you to tell me what’s going on through your head, this entire tower is your family, we can help.”
“She-” Jenna croaks, “she called for me, Vivica.” Using her full name, this indicated she was an even bigger mess than anyone anticipated, Jenna would use ‘Vivica’ when things got too serious, too overwhelming, and those times barely existed, Viv greeting her name like a stranger. “She called for me and I wasn’t there, I couldn’t save her.”
Placing a firm grip on both her shoulders, Viv comforts Jenna, “Jenna, look at me, there was nothing you could do in that moment to help her, get that through your thick skull.” Jenna huffs out a deep sigh, “but.” “No buts, stop blaming yourself, and you did save her, she’s alive because you took her in.” Viv reassures.
“Okay.” Jenna didn’t want to ‘okay’ this conversation, especially when she herself wasn’t okay. But that was all she could muster up at this moment.
“Okay. Now tell me what you need.”
“I need to find that man and kill him.” An ‘o’ shape forms Viv’s mouth, but she doesn’t know why she’s surprised, this was the most logical solution for Jenna. “No, not kill, that’d be giving him mercy, I want to hurt him so bad he wishes he was never born.” There was such fury in Jenna’s eyes, a fury no one had ever seen, not even Viv, but she understood, she shared that same fury, it was the same with Bruce, but Jenna held most of the fire, she conjured it.
“Okay, okay, that’s on brand, but before you go out and hunt him down and we feed you information, you should know, this wasn’t a random attack, the van that ended up picking him and her up, ultimately dropping her off at our feet was Marcello.”
“Gio did this?” The fire only growing stronger at the realisation that Gio was using you as a manipulation tactic to see her fall, to make her weak, vulnerable.
“Unfortunately, so he may be guarded.”
“He won’t, he’s a useless pawn to Gio, and I’m assuming he wasn’t supposed to hurt her that bad.”
~~
As Jenna heads down to the garage, everyone at their stations waiting to give Jenna information on Jameson’s whereabouts, Jenna ends up running into a frantic Sol. “Sol? Are you okay?”
“Jenna! Just the girl I was looking for, y/n’s awake, she’s doing great and she’s looking for you.” Jenna wishes she had never run into Sol, the guilt she buried about how she wasn’t there when you woke up was slowly making its way back up to the surface and that same feeling of saliva settling on her tongue was back again.
“I’m glad she’s doing better.”
“You’re not coming to see her?”
Before Jenna could answer, adding onto the guilt that harbours her, Sol had once more read Jenna and the twitch in her eyes, the pursed lips and the disconnected eye contact told her all she needed to know. “I wish you believed that this isn’t your fault.”
“Me too,” Jenna smiles at her, “later, when she’s well enough, I want her to recover in my penthouse, I’ll have people set up the guest bedroom, it’ll give me peace of mind that she’s here with m-, with uh, you know protection.”
Sol tries to hide her smirk at Jenna’s slight mistake where she was supposed to say ‘me,’ where she wanted to say ‘me,’ “that’s very sweet of you, it’ll give me some peace of mind too.”
“If you want, I can have another room set up for you?” Jenna kindly offers.
“OH, no, that’s very sweet, but I don’t want to intrude, and plus I have a business to run and I’m not in any danger, thank you though.”
“Of-course, just let me know if you change your mind, and the only thing that poses a danger to you is TMZ stealing your work.” Jenna winks, making Sol laugh, before heading towards her personal garage, separate the the tower’s garage.
Which car today? She thinks to herself, “take the GT3, perfect for a 1am cruise, we can see you wallowing in indecisiveness, this is a problem only you’d have by the way.” Viv speaks, coming from Jenna’s ear piece.
“Heh, you’re right the irish green GT3 is perfect for a 1am cruise, though this won’t be a cruise, more like sweet, sweet revenge.”
“Yuck, never say that again, this isn’t a movie.”
“Hmm, kinda is, but maybe more like a book.”
~~
As you wait for Sol to get back from her little quest, you can’t help but wonder if it’ll just be Sol walking through the doors or will Jenna accompany her. Despite being beaten to a pulp, you remembered everything, you’ve always had a stellar memory and despite all the hurt and pain, there was something about the warmth Jenna encased you in whilst in your arms that washed away the pain, each beat of your heart was in sync with hers and for once she wasn’t the most feared woman in America, she was Jenna.
Just Jenna, with the ability to be vulnerable like everybody else. As much as you didn’t want to admit it, waking up to the lack of her warmth ached you, but that doesn’t mean you weren’t grateful and relieved to see Sol by your side, but deep down your heart longed to be in sync with hers again.
“Hi, my sweet one.”
“Sol!” And only Sol walked through the doors, leaving you deflated, not realising you displayed your disappointment for Sol to see.
“I know, I’m sorry.”
“No, don’t apologise, it’s okay, I just thought, never mind, it’s stupid.”
“It really isn’t y/n.” Sol takes a seat by your leg on your bed.
“I just want to thank her.”
“She knows you’re thankful, what you really want is her, or do you still hate her?” Sol teases.
You hmph, “I don’t want her.” Is that a lie, y/n? “And I don’t necessarily hate her.”
“Hm, okay, whatever makes you sleep at night, however, if you don’t hate her, why’d you tell her otherwise?”
“You heard about that?”
“Whole tower at this point.”
“I feel like this is karma for being a journalist,” you two share a laugh, taking a deep breath, you confess, “when I ran into her at the mall, she had told me to tell her that I hate her, if I told her that, she would leave me alone, when I told her I hate her, I didn’t mean it in a spiteful way, I meant it in a I don’t want to be a burden to you way, because I knew she would stop at nothing to hurt whoever did this to me, I couldn’t let her get hurt on behalf of me, get hurt in general.”
Viv and Bruce heard all of that through the door so when they walk in, Viv couldn’t help but make a remark, “aw, you do care about her.”
Your face lights up at the sight of your friends, “unfortunately,” you joke.
“How’re ya doing kid?” Bruce speaks first, which surprises everyone in the room.
“I’m doing better, you?”
“I’m not the one who got hurt.”
“Not physically.” Your statement makes Bruce bow his head down a bit, confirming your words to be true.
“I’ll be okay.” He smiles.
“Viv?”
“I’ll be okay too, I’m just glad you’re doing better.” She walks up to you and gives you a tight squeeze.
“OH!” You remember that there was a high possibility Sol and the other two have never met before, “this is Sol, my everything.” Sol smiles and holds your hand.
“Yes, hi, hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Viv sticks out her hand and Sol gracefully accepts.
“Please, pleasure’s all mine, thank you for taking care of her.” Sol giggles at her, “and nice to meet you too, uh?” She turns to Bruce.
Bruce tips his head at her like a mini curtsy, a gentleman he is, “Bruce, ma’am.” Another smile from Sol.
“I don’t mean to interrupt introductions here, but is Jenna around?” You gather up the courage to ask.
“She’s on her way back to the towers.” Viv answers.
“From where?”
“I’ll leave that to her to explain.”
“But let’s not focus on her right now.” Easier said than done. “Jenna is offering you a guest bedroom upstairs to recover in, and trust me, this room may be amazing, but nothing compares to her penthouse.”
“That’s very generous of her, and yeah, whew, her penthouse is something else, she’ll be back soon, right?”
“I’m sure of it.” Viv reassures.
~~
Despite her small stature, Jenna was incredibly strong, evident as she drags a 6ft tall, unconscious man into the elevator as they head towards the dark rooms of the tower, underneath the city, where if Jenna wanted something from an individual, she’d get it.
As they reach the one of the underground levels, the elevator door opens and Jenna is greeted by Viv and Bruce, they wanted to bring a few soldiers, but Jenna insisted this had to be done privately, there was something poetic about her doing this where no one could hear his screams, the same way no one heard yours.
“Here Bruce, take him and tie him down to the chair and wake him up.” Jenna commands, the fury she once welcomed in, back and angrier than ever.
Once Jameson wakes up, his eyes are met with a fiery brown. “Speak.” He laughs at her attempt to be intimidating, “Oh? We’re laughing I see, let’s see if those teeth will still be there when you laugh after I’m done with you.” Jenna balls up her fist and with so much might, punches him in the jaw, knocking him to the side a bit, immediately drawing blood out of his nose and gums.
“That all you got?” He challenges, “I made your little pet scream more.” That was it, that was Jenna’s last straw, no one knows what possessed her, but no one was mad about it, she claw gripped his throat, throwing punches at every part of his face, his blood splattering all over the place, painting Jenna’s white button up, the first 3 buttons now undone from the roughness she delivered.
And with every grin, laugh, snarky remark Jameson displays, Jenna’s punches got harder, one punch being so hard, he falls backwards taking Jenna down with him. Jameson was strong but Jenna was stronger, “Gio was right, y/n does have you wrapped around her finger.”
With one final blow, she nearly renders him unconscious, as she leaps up from him, Jenna mumbles “you don’t get to say her name.”
“Calm down, tiger,” he mutters as the blood pools up in his mouth, spitting it out he continues “she’s not who you think she is, not the angel you see her as.”
Having had enough, she gives him one last hurt, a kick to his ribs, almost promising she broke it as she heard something crack, swiftly followed by a blood curdling scream. “Take him away, deliver him back to Gio but make him crawl his way to him.” With no hesitation, Bruce unties him and drags him away, at Jenna’s side, Viv hands her sanitizing products to clean the blood off her hands, “go, y/n needs you, I can clean this up.” Like Bruce, Jenna leaves with no hesitation, she was a full-blown storm and she needed you to calm her waters down.
~~
Though it was nearly 3am, you had no interest in sleep, instead, you were lost in the silence of the penthouse, being so high up the business of the streets beneath you could not be heard. You thought about the last time you were here, the only time you had been here, before tonight, maybe you were a bit harsh, maybe she deserved it.
As you think about what might’ve happened if you didn’t reject Jenna’s advances, the silence around you allows you to hear an elevator coming up, hopping up quickly, to the best of your ability, you breathe through the stinging pain from your healing body and head out.
“Jenna?” You see a beaten-up Jenna staring at you, fresh from the elevator, only making a couple steps into her penthouse. Though she looked beaten up, the undone buttons, blood splatter all over her shirt, untuck and ruffled up, you knew she wasn’t the one who took the pain, rather, she was the one who gave it. “Jenna?” You say again, hoping this time, your voice would knock her out of her dissociative trance.
“Y/n.” Was all she could mutter out.
You walk closer to her, being inches away from her face, body warmth radiating, your hearts in sync once more, you get déjà vu as this replicates the first night you met her, something about her brown eyes gazing into your soul, as if she were reading every atom in you to know you. “Y/n.” Jenna jolts awake, “I’m sorry, you shouldn’t see me like this.” But before she could turn and leave, you grab her wrist stopping her.
“Stay with me, I don’t want you to leave.”
She slowly grazes her face to yours, her eyes now closed and so are yours, both noses hug each other like a puzzle piece, the speed of your heart now rising to a point you swear it was going to electrocute the both of you from all that static rush, but what Jenna says next would stop your heart.
“Kiss me.”

Obi/Hinawa x Reserved!Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
A/N Requested a whiiile ago, I'm so sorry for the wait *cries in procrastination*
)()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()(
Akitaru Obi
- Obi likes to think he's a nice cross between a serious, strong willed leader and a fun guy to be around - and he'd be correct in his assumptions.
- He doesn't take himself too terribly seriously but also knows when and how to command authority and as such, has experience handling all sorts of personality types; so meeting someone as even tempered and reserved as (Name)?
- Truthfully, it's almost like a breath of fresh air .
- He approaches her like he approaches anyone; with kindness and a warm smile, careful not to startle her out of her book but speaking just loud enough for her to know he's addressing her.
- Somehow, she's still a bit jumpy despite his approach but he makes sure not to draw any attention to it, introducing himself with an outstretched hand, patiently waiting for her to take it. They're pretty fast friends and from then on, it's like they lean towards the other's company more than they realize.
- It's subconsciously grained into them a few months after meeting; Anytime they're in a room together one will gravitate toward the other, sitting or standing, exchange glances and smiles all the while, even during team meetings.
- She just feels... really seen with him. And very safe.
- And she's always incredibly attentive, able to scope out his emotional state with pinpoint accuracy, even when he's trying not to make a spectacle of it.
- In fact, they soon realize how much emotional support the other provides, mere seconds later realizing just how much the other means.
- He wastes no time confessing his feelings.
- "-And I know this might be sudden, but I'd very much like to take you out to lunch some time. Honestly, I think you're a real catch (Name), and I'd hate to miss out on the opportunity. Life's too short."
- The confession is so forward yet well meaning it sends (Name) into shock; a blushing, stuttering shock.
- But he waits patiently, albeit slightly nervous, for her reply; it's a yes, of course.
Takehisa Hinawa
- Hinawa is...a very no-nonsense individual, one could take a single look at him and tell.
- It's because of this fact that he actually strongly prefers someone a little more reserved than most. That said upon meeting (Name), he was convinced that if the infernals didn't eat her alive, the rigorous Fire Force training would. To his surprise, he was dead wrong. In fact, she excelled.
- She was capable of taking out swarms of Infernals in seconds with expert offensive abilities partnered with spot on defensive capabilities. She was tactical and focused, something he noticed many of his peers lacked even on the battlefield. He grew to respect her prowess, honestly.
- "Excellent work out there, (Name)."
- "!!!"
- She gasped loudly, startled at the approach of the man and his seemingly random compliment.
- He watched in disbelief as she subconsciously backs into a wall, facing him, face reddened.
- He doesn't necessarily lose respect for her, but he certainly thinks twice before approaching her unexpectedly again - not hard for him at all, but she does feel pretty bad for overreacting.

vague DP x Noragami crossover time~
Hiyori is terrified of Danny; something about him rubs her so so wrong. She tries her best to be nice, but she is the equivalent of a shivering chihuahua puppy in his midst. Danny feels kinda bad about that, but he can't really turn it off without turning human so he tries to stay as calm as possible around her.
Yukine, on the other hand, loves him. He thinks Danny's so cool and keeps bugging him about stuff from America and trying to show off how much he knows about the culture (a very impressive amount actually), and goes nuts seeing all the things Danny can do with his ghost powers. Danny feels the same about Yukine, gushing about his Shinki abilities and urging him into telling stories about his adventures and Japanese culture. These two become good friends.
Yato is kind of indifferent, and then the tiniest bit jealous once Yukine starts looking up to Danny. After getting to know him a little more, Danny has a hard time believing someone like Yato is a real "god".
It doesn't take long for Yukine to start looking up to Danny, just seeing how easily Danny can take care of Ayakashi (named "Phantoms" in the anime, heh) impressed Yukine enough to ask for advice. Thus, Yato's "oh hey potentially a customer!" doesn't last more than a day or two.
Danny does accidentally hang out with Hiyori in human form, and she does not recognize him in the slightest. She also isn't afraid of him at all in human form.
Important note: Danny, to this trio, only know him as "Phantom"
Side idea: I,,, am gonna be honest, I dunno how the naming system would work realistically, but somehow with some word, Yato gets cut off from saying the whole word of something and Danny gets a funny feeling in his chest! By the time he feels two hands holding him tightly, he realizes that he is A) not in ghost form, B) not in human form, and C) he was-
"A Thermos?" Yato asked. "Bit of a random item, but- HOLD ON YOU'RE A SHINKI?!"
Danny did not, in fact, know he was a Shinki.
The idea is: Yato, being a "god of calamity" (if this isnt actually true, F to me), and Danny, being... whatever the hell amalgamation of ecto-energy and ghost shit and human being that he is- they both sort of? overlap? If that makes sense. And so, even though Yato did not intend to call a Shinki, nor did he know Danny was a Shinki (and that he had apparently bestowed a name at some point and completely forgotten about except- that's impossible what the fuck) he had none the less a new Shinki in his possession. One that turned into a thermos.
Idk how this would go plotwise, but Yato would immediately turn around and go "hey, Yukine, isn't this great? We can use Danny to keep food warm in the winter-!" and then he gets wrestled to the ground by Hiyori of all people, who was previously keeping a good distance between her and Danny and also panicking a little bit because it seemed like his smell completely disappeared what-
And Danny is just "what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck" and "did my parents sell me to the calamity god at some point???"
The answer he gets is no, but he's never totally sure and is always suspicious about it.
Some more notes:
-> He freaks out Hiyori because he smells like an Ayakashi
-> Yukine is a little bit drawn to him due to their similar (enough) circumstances.
-> Yato doesn't give much of a shit beyond the usual, at first, because he's used to the presence of death and Ayakashi near him. And Danny's existence isn't much of a surprise to him after hanging out with a sort-of Ayakashi (Hiyori) for so long.
-> After transforming into a Shinki for Yato, Danny can, in fact, blight him! When he changes back to his non-thermos self though, he does not blight Yato.
-> Danny offers to teach Yukine math one (1) time when Hiyori is unavailable and it ends with both of them getting repeat lessons. Danny thinks its a rip-off that he's not in school and yet he's still doing homework.
#dp crossover#DPxNoragami#danny phantom#noragami#nemotime#might add to this later when i'm further along in my rewatch of the anime and remember more stuff#tho i definitely remember that Rabo guy and it would be quite fun to consider him fucking shit up for Yato AND Danny#i wanna make Danny and Hiyori decent friends when he's in human form but i find it so funny making her just hiss at him out of fear#and then going 'omg im sooo sorry. i dont know what came over me- *HISS*' but like. she is completely 100% geniune#poor girl. it is very amusing to me however#possible reasons for Danny not in school - vacation. graduated. errand for Clockwork. etc. idk yet)#will probably make it so that Hiyori eventually gets used to having him around and then she's the one to make the connection#about his human form. but for now. crying screaming hissing on the floor etc#YOOO#HOW FUCKED UP WOULD IT BE IF CLOCKWORK WAS ONE OF THE BIG TIME 'gods' AND HE JUST MADE DANNY HIS SHINKI#WITHOUT TELLING HIM????#ohhhh#this fucks me up oh man#CW seeing no problem with it & Danny not getting the problem until its pointed out to him#that he can't remember a single time before this when he was used / turned into a thermos#because when you make a spirit a Shinki and give them a name#they transform. so Danny should be able to remember transforming *at least* once before now. and yet.#i mean its not that hard to figure out right? Master ('god') of all time. Likely to be very volatile Shinki. Just rewind and you're good :)#and maybe CW does rewind. when Danny starts blighting him kinda hard. and Danny doesn't notice much out of place#he just thinks he got knocked out during a fight and asked what he missed#later. Hiyori and Yukine will try to jog his memory and Yato will be doing ... something sus probably in the background to try to help#oh man i also gotta figure out Danny and Yato's whole deal with the accidental Shinki + blighting mess between them#anywho bed time for meee

Hi, I absolutely loved the previous ask I sent and was wondering if you would mind doing another? I was thinking either 15 clingy or 46 reversal with Constantine? Or, if not, then your choice of character? Thank you so much!
(I'll absolutely do more; my brain is kind of stuck on all my current WIPs so I'm not making a lot of momentum, not even with Lex's ranty blog entries. WIP more like RIP me amirite)
Constantine is no stranger to the reversal of fortunes. This is one of the central features of the Synchronicity Highway: a streak of good luck is a bad time to ride it, because the house always wins sooner or later, and the universe is a house with a fuckload of bouncers who don't care whether or not you come back. A run of shit luck, though? The perfect time to let it take you where you need to be.
Constantine is peripherally aware, if he lets himself be introspective, which he tries never to do these days, that the only reason it works so well is that the only place he ever wants to be is away from here, and there's nothing magic likes more than to whisk one into the unknown, far from all they know and love, but far from hate, and usually politics, too. If he had more of a sense of adventure - well, if he had more of a sense of adventure, he'd probably have promoted his band the way he was told to, instead of hiding from interviewers.
Not that, he figures, his life would've been much better as a musician. Starving every other day, still. Doing odd jobs, still. Gaz just as dead from an overdose and no danger to the world, but everyone's world still ended, staring down at his waxy face. Fingers blistered, callouses in all the wrong places, no longer able to hold a playing card the right way to throw it, not without a cramp, and still, always, getting too old for this shit. Chas would probably be happier, anyway.
The only time Synchronicity really works is when some naif believes it will, someone credulous enough, with enough trust in Constantine, and enough will of their own to guide them somewhere meaningful. Somewhere beautiful in its own right. Used to be he could trust family for that. Well, not Dad, his faith in the Almighty was steadfast enough it was a wonder Constantine could've cursed him in the first place. Tiny Johnny, enamored with the wonders of tricks in a Real Magic Book could barely float a quarter in front of him, and levitation came easy to him, those early days. It's not like a Chosen One's going to come along every week, take his hand and look at him with those wide lamb eyes, and ask - am I really evil? Every time?
He likes Chosen Ones, if he's being honest. Something neat in that package, a quest that can be finished and left at the door. A story that's larger than him, some grand sweeping narrative that Conjob only plays the bittiest part in. Philosophy he doesn't so much care for. It's easier having no answers than too many, and the shifting world only adds more at his fingertips, less than a phone call away when he has some idle query that he doesn't yet know can ruin his life.
Books were easiest, as the tiniest lad on the block, every block, every time. Books had answers. (Too many answers. Too many tempting questions.) Books never hit him or turned him upside down, books never dared him into the deepest shadows of the quarry. Books never spoke his father's name, his own name, with laughter and words he'd be punished for if he brought them home. Lightly, himself, but with the harsher echo heard through the wall as he bit his tongue. Books were steadfast and kind, through every change of address, every change of parent, every twist of his early life.
The friendless child had his stack of books, and the charming adult had his music, and that's its own synchronicity, really. Its own reversal. Different hands in different places and different voices screaming different words. It always nags at him, whether the band ever needed him. Everything else in his life drew him there, one way or another. The band may have been pure coincidence.
Magic is shaped by will, by belief, by the kind of conviction that bends the universe around it. Everyone knows that. It's the first thing people teach, the first thing people learn, the beginning of half the spellbooks he owns. That's what draws you in, on the highway, that and not really anything to do with you. You're just a magical magnet, drawn to someone who needs your help.
It's not always help. Constantine knows as well as anyone that sometimes you're drawn to someone who just needs a warm body to tear into, or someone who needs your magic as a component rather than a tool. Sometimes you're drawn to a tragedy so long ago and far a way the echo shocks a ripple down the back of your neck, scaring your ghosts into silence for a handful of breaths. Sometimes it's a trap, or you're a hindrance, or it's someone else's story you've stumbled into as a comedy relief bit. Sometimes, though, someone needs help, and that's all the world really is, isn't it? Everyone calling for help and you struggling to answer when you can.
He's changed a flat, more than once. It's funny, in a highway way, when that happens. It's funny when Chas gives him The Look, even when he reminds his friend it's an invaluable life skill. Even when he's helped change Chas's tires. Some thanks. He's helped find lost pets, told too many people he couldn't much help find lost anyone else. He's screamed at a few newbie practitioners. Confiscated their grimoires. If he's in a friendly mood, pointed them in the direction of help. He's decked a politician or two. That's always fun.
And sometimes, sometimes he's on the run from the filth, trying not to whisper words through panted breaths before he turns himself into a toad, and slips into the space between spaces. Everywhere has its alleys, literal and metaphorical, and the liminal is harder to avoid the stronger the wifi signal permeates the air. Sometimes he slips through, runs, jogs along with a fitness group, follows tourists photographing ducks. Takes a bus, and a train, and then a taxicab he's sure isn't from the country he ends up in. Walks, doing like he always promises he will, and smelling the roses.
Only they're not roses, though, and he comes back to himself to the strong scent of sweet basil, a windowbox carefully planted to flourish in the sun. Soft music playing, classical, but by some local band fundraising for - he can't remember. He bought their CD. He raises his hand to knock on the door, but he hesitates, the way he always does, goes to turn away. They need him here about as much as they ever did, and he doesn't need to reverse their fortunes, too.
But his sister's smile he could never turn away from, the delighted surprise as she takes him by the hand, asks him, "of course you'll stay for dinner, Johnny," sits him down at the table before he responds. Gemma gives him the least impressed look a teenager has ever bestowed on anyone, glancing back down at her phone, ignoring Cheryl's attempts to cajole her into setting the table. Even Tony's jokes can't turn Constantine away from the marvel that is his family, whole and hale again, sitting right across from him like they weren't a universe and lifetime away, out of sight and out of mind.
He stays for dinner.

Obbligato: The Baptism of Jun Sazanami - 5
Writer: Akira
Season: Spring, three years ago
Characters: Jun, Tatsumi
Proofreading: 310mc + Remi (JP) & honeyspades (ENG)
Translation: hyenahunt & Peace
Jun: (I spent each and every day working my ass off without even the tiniest protest, and I got jack shit for it. Damn it, damn it, damn 'em all.)
Tumblr media
Time: Three years ago. A week after the Reimei Academy entrance ceremony.
Location: Reimei Academy's dormitory for Non-Special Students, nicknamed the "Labour Camp".[1]
Jun: (No clue how many centuries it's been since the four social classes of feudal Japan were established, since I never learned about ‘em, but...)
(Here in Reimei Academy, there's definitely a clear-cut class system.)
(I've gotten that beaten into me within this first week alone.)
(They do a thorough evaluation of your skills and ability as an idol once you enter Reimei Academy. From there, everyone gets sorted into being either a Special Student, or into a catch-all category for everything else.)
(And the thing is, in Reimei Academy, Special Students take priority above everything else.)
(No, actually, it's more like the only ones who count as students and idols here are the Specials alone.)
(As for those of us who got sorted into that “everything else” category, no one recognises us as being anything nearly so precious — or even as human beings, really.)
Tumblr media
(From the moment we wake up in the morning 'til we sleep at night, we're forced to take care of those guys.)
(We gotta cook for 'em, help with their outfit changes, prep their meals, or clean up and tidy the practice rooms for those ever-important Special Students...)
(The place you sleep, the classrooms you study in, and the topics you learn — it's a whole world of difference from what they get.)
(We're being ground down and used up all for their sake, just to ensure they live a comfortable life and can conduct their idol activities.)
(I mean, what else can we do? We're just useless pieces of crap that have no chance of becoming idols!)
(That's what we got judged as! While we're still only just newbies, without a chance of even making anything outta ourselves yet!)
Tumblr media
(...But it looks like I'm even more hopeless at being an idol than I thought. I mean, I couldn't even make it as a Special Student.)
(Even though I worked so hard at it, during a time when every other kid my age was being doted on by their kind parents and got to kick back and play games.)
(I spent each and every day working my ass off without even the tiniest protest, and I got jack shit for it. Damn it, damn it, damn 'em all.)
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: ...
Jun: ......!?
Huh? Wha? Uuu?
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: Good morning. ♪
Jun: You're, uh, Tatsumi Kazehaya... -senpai.
Tatsumi: Haha, yes, I am. What an honour it is that you know of me.
Jun: You were um, at the entrance ceremony...
Tatsumi: Ah, that's right, I did introduce myself back then. All the same, I truly am delighted you've kept me in mind.
More importantly, you all should've already gotten up and ready for the morning meeting.
You'll miss out on breakfast if you sleep in, you know.
Jun: That would be the case, but... I got into a lil' bit of trouble the other day, so the teacher told me off and suspended me.
Tatsumi: Ah, that's right, I heard something along those lines. An unruly new student apparently acted quite violently towards a Special Student.
Tumblr media
Jun: Violent, my ass! I just talked back at him a lil'! What, so you guys have taken to twisting it into me decking a Special, huh!?
Tatsumi: I see... While that may be the rumor, the truth is clearly another story entirely.
I can see it in your eyes. You are someone who would never harm another simply because you feel like it; you're a good person.
Tumblr media
Jun: The hell d'you even know about me... you privileged Special.
Tatsumi: I suppose I technically am a Special Student, more or less.
Jun: More or less, he says. That title means everything in Reimei Academy, so —
Tatsumi: Certainly not. While you may say so, do you truly believe that?
Jun: What?
Tatsumi: If so, then I feel sorrow for you. Though it would simply be the result of your circumstances if that was the case.
Tumblr media
Jun: ...Hang on. What are you doing in the Labor Camp when you're a Special?
Won't all your chummy lil' friends turn up their noses at you for setting foot in here?
Tatsumi: Well, besides the fact that the other Special Students and I don't see eye-to-eye in the first place... I don't particularly mind if they give me the cold shoulder or not.
And this is the sad reality of it all. No matter what we Special Students do unto others, we aren't punished here at Reimei Academy... not even for wrongdoings that any Non-Special Student would typically face severe punishment for.
If, for example, a Special Student were to act violently towards someone who wasn't a student of the same status, they most likely wouldn't incur any penalty whatsoever.
Tumblr media
Jun: ...Yeah, I've realised that. It caught me off-guard, honestly, when a teacher just stared blankly at me after I told 'em I got the shit beaten outta me by a Special.
Meanwhile I got suspended just for getting a lil' mouthy with one of 'em. It's fucked up. I don't get it — is literally everyone here messed up in the head?
Tatsumi: While I empathize with you, you shouldn't scorn nor criticize others as if they were the Devil himself.
The moment you draw a line between "them" and "us", you allow discrimination to take root...
And from there, it blooms into an innumerable amount of tragedies.
Jun: The ones discriminating against us are you guys! It's you Specials throwing your weight around and all, yeah?
Tatsumi: That is, of course, an affliction all of humanity shares and must strive to improve on — to remedy — so that such a flaw can be called unfounded.
We are all children equal under God. To Him, there is no "they" or "us": we are all human beings who share the same virtues, the same vices.
Tumblr media
Jun: The hell's your deal... Didja come all the way here just to preach your shady bullshit at me?
Tatsumi: No, no, I didn't. I meant no offense, and I sincerely apologize for that. Speaking in this way has always been my habit, so perhaps it's merely a product of my upbringing to sound as such.
Rather than come to preach or anything like that, I actually came to greet you all. I'll be in your care from today on.
Jun: Huh? You've come to stay here? Don't you guys have your stupidly fancy private rooms?
Tatsumi: Yes, we do. However, I decided to move out of mine and come live here instead.
Tumblr media
Jun: Why wouldja do something like that outta the blue...?
Tatsumi: It wasn't on a mere whim, mind you. I have an idea— or rather, I have a plan.
Tumblr media
Jun: ...?
The Non-Special Student dorm room is nicknamed the Labour Camp, or 'takobeya' (タコ部屋). 'Takobeya rodo' (タコ部屋労働) was a form of harsh slave-like labour in 19th century Hokkaido, where workers were forced to live and work in inhumane conditions, & exploited for physical labour. The 'takobeya' was the name of the dorms these workers lived in, and can be translated to 'octopus room'. While the origin of the name is unknown, among theories for it is that just like an octopus trap, once you go in you can't ever escape. You can see the resemblance between the dorm and the actual thing in this recreation photo of one.

I am, surprisingly, far less exhausted than I thought I'd be after spending all day in Synagogue yesterday and then eating twice my bodyweight in food and staying up until midnight trying to digest it all before sleeping. I even, somehow, managed to wake up at my usual time at 8 am to take my meds, and was awake and energetic enough that I didn't feel the need to crawl back into bed after.
Mind you: I'm still tired enough that I felt the need for a cup of Coffee this morning. And I am still experiencing some muscle exhaustion and the tiniest bit of nerve sensitivity in my arms. Plus, last night I was so exhausted that my RLS flared up (to my annoyance) ... It's just that I'm not bone weary and near bed-bound like I usually would be after something like that.
I can't tell if it's because the new med routine, or something else. But I'm not sure I particularly care enough about the answer to go poking around to try and figure out why I'm not exhausted as I should (and usually would) be with my conditions after being that active all day. I think I'm just going to appreciate it for what it is rather than try to dissect it to Antarctica and back like I usually would.
I'll just take it for the amazing win it is and go back to anxiously agonizing over whether or not I should add the two people my age from Synagogue on Facebook- or if that'd be too weird of me to do because that information was never actually exchanged with nor invited of me; I've forgotten how to acceptably social.

Okay evidently this is becoming an issue, so-
Who’s at fault for Nesta’s depression and alcoholism?
(Similar to my previous posts, but this time analyzing the way it started. And my apologies but I’m not at home right now, so I’ll be pulling from memory and editing with quotes later.)
The Inner Circle
Is Nesta’s rocky road the fault of the IC? Yes. And no. She absolutely needed a support system-and I think that’s obvious. She needed a friend so badly she gave life to an inanimate structure. And once Gwyn, Emerie, and Cassian see her as an ally, she is so much more ‘good.’
But then again, they did offer this to some degree. Not in the way she probably needed, but there was some kind of respect, at least. She fought with them. She had killed the King of Hybern. But the moment she started to spiral, they pretty much cut her off. She’s only tolerated for being the sister of the High Lady, and the few people who do try to step in are harsh and cold. (Which never works. They’ll always just get defensive.)
So the IC holds fault. But not all the fault. Not even a majority.
Feyre and Elain
Maybe a slightly controversial take, but these two in particular needed to do more. When my brother died, my other brother would not have gotten through it without our parents. Nesta doesn’t have parents to cling to, but she has her sisters. At least, she should. Even if she won’t talk about their father, the simple act of being there could have been enough to make her feel less alone.
Cassian and Amren
Obviously Cass is a big reason for her recovery (at least according to the way the story is told), but he fucks up a lot getting there. He and Amren both take cold, harsh, aggressive approaches to an ‘intervention,’ throwing harsh reality rather than any kind of concern or empathy. And as I said before, this will ONLY ever make someone hostile and defensive, especially in her situation. She might listen, but she won’t care-because in her mind, they don’t care, they just don’t like the way she makes the Court look, or the way it effects someone that they ‘actually’ care about. Just the tiniest bit of genuine warmth goes a long way in these situations. Also, not Cass genuinely ignoring suicidal impulses, but that’s for another day.
Nesta
Let me be clear-I am not saying she did anything wrong. Mental illness and trauma are absolute beasts to wrestle with, especially without support. But at the end of the day, her actions caused her problems. If it’s Feyre’s fault for emotional reactions, or Rhys’s fault for decisions made in ‘mating fog,’ then Nesta’s at fault for her choices too.
Heavy emphasis again that I DO NOT blame Nesta. She’s in a shit situation and deals with it however she can. But she is the one who drinks. Who drives people away. Who is cruel to everyone. She is struggling with so many things, and-even though they show it terribly-there ARE people who care and want to help her. She doesn’t want to be helped.
It’s approximately midnight and I’ve been drinking so no idea if this makes any sense. But let’s hope it does.

I dare you to.... Get a full nights rest, eat a healthy meal and drink some water.
[ Send "I dare you to...." and my muse will HAVE to do whatever you dare them to! - ACCEPTING ]
Tumblr media
Viktor cannot hold back the tiniest pout of unfairness. "I feel like I walked into that one." Everyone always fussing over them! Really now. But, it's hard to be too miffed at Elise when she is one of the few allowed to comment on them, seeing as she's patched up their less wanted wounds several times. Besides...
... they do have to take care of their temple. It wouldn't be fair to their marks to let their canvas wither. They look down at themself, wondering if they look thinner and more haggard than usual to warrant such a ridiculous dare. The answer is a sheepish 'yes', although their face hides it well.
Well, a dare is a dare.
So they simply sigh. "I... will. Yes." They are still a bit fussed at how very targeted it was, albeit with kindness. "I will... go bother Aimos, see if perhaps he would like to have a meal. I haven't cooked in a while."
They cross their arms and smirk. "Now, the full night's rest part? Not even a double dare can guarantee you that. My head isn't as keen on following rules as I am."
