I actually find it really bizarre and counter intuitive that clinically speaking, you cannot legally be diagnosed with a personality disorder until you're at least 18. The reason given for this is because "the personality has not fully developed before this age" like ???

Ah yes, my favorite strategy. Not diagnosing the problem until it's already been virtually cemented into your brain for life! Wouldn't it be easier (and more painless) to address the problem before it's fully developed?

#im also certain that the age that personality fully forms at is not a universally agreed upon number #like idk. maybe this raises less questions about age and more about the potential consequences of pathologizing personalities #it feels a little fucked up to me that some mental illness are 'just' mental illnesses while others are deemed a thing synonymous with you #and i can understand if some people with personality disorders do really heavily identify with their disorders #thats fine!#i also think the average person has a concept of personality which is relatively stagnant and thats just not realistic tbh #i mean if you think personality is stagnant then yours probably is so in rhat sense youre not wrong #but personality can absolutely change and i dont think it makes you a 'different person'#i think its a natural progression #anyways. got a little derailed but the point im trying to make is #lets find a way to give people with personality disorders a more realistic hope for recovery without invalidating them #and also lets maybe try to treat personality disorders preemptively so they don't get worse

OH MY GOD THIS HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME TOO.... but i don't want to get petty at the people in my notes always saying "moirails are QPRs!" because in some ways that is the closest human thing so it's hard to be mad...

i think there's definitely some overlap in some ways. but NOT because moirallegiance and qprs are the same at all really, but INSTEAD because both relationships have unconventional boundaries defined by the people within them.

you know... like every relationship.

like the only reason the two have overlap is because they are both partnerships that emotionally care for each other but can choose to not bang (which is true for any romance anyway, even if it's considered abnormal). they're both just romances* that are unconventional to human norms, which makes people view them as the same thing when they're not.

i think the REAL issue here is that humans insist on using human words to understand things that are just, fundamentally, alien. can't we just appreciate alien romance for being... alien romance?

no, it's not platonic, it's romantic. it's just romantic in a way you aren't quite wired to understand, is all.

*in generalization, most QPRs are not romantic, because they are made up of aroaces who are life partners in a non-romantic way. however i want to disagree with you that none of them are romantic, because that is up to the partners in question.

I'm pretty sure I've already made a post about cannibalism in hallownest but it still fascinates me the difference between a person bug and a food bug. You could say sentience but a good amount of bugs that are simply scurrying around have thoughts (dreamnail) and once tumblrblazed by the Radiance every bug tends to have narrow and simple thoughts, something else I froth over

The Deepnest bugs (are implied to) eat people, or do they eat bugs, is it out of disrespect of their humanity, or the culture. There could be a natural foodchainare aspect but maybe PK influence disrupted the structure. Are nosks people? I'd love to know what's up with nosks

Bugs were capable of thought before PK (tribes and communities existed before him or WL took power and the Radiance mothtribe seems very advanced) so it could have been a way of life where "cannibalism" had no definition. Imagine the furious debates PK got up too about citizenship and laws, god I love that silly colonizer worm

I have my biased takes on what Coco and Velvet are like as characters, but to start off I wanna focus on what Vel brings to the table.  I think a lot of people have moe’d her down to a nervous/scaredy bunny girl and…that’s not her at all. She’s a real multilayered character who can and will kick your ass flat. She’s also…

- very very attentive to people

- excellent at memorizing things she sees and hears, and quickly at that

- very emotionally in tune with people, herself included

- insanely kind and helpful

- honest about her feelings and will voice her thoughts when ready

Also she’s a bunny like come on. Is baby. It’s impossible to not find her likable.

I can go on forever, but I think these are enough likable traits to work with.

 Time to shift. Now we focus on what I think Coco likes in a person:

- Hot girls

- Complexity

- Someone true to their nature

- Some sense of honor

- Someone striving to learn and to better themselves

Hopefully it’s not lost here, but there’s some compatibility don’t you think? Velvet’s got some of those traits that Coco likes.  ————

Seeing Velvet thrive and not feel like she has to hide herself away from the world, and with it comes moments and actions that make Coco, much to her surprise, fall for Velvet.

I guess simply put, Velvet flirts by being her cheeky self around Coco, and her leader falls for her every time.

His wondering hands leave your body and he comes back around crouching in front of you. Your eyes and his are finally on the same level.

You begin to twist your wrists side to side in the hope that your restraints will eventually come loose. After a few moments of twisting and pulling the rope falls to the floor. You quickly shoot up but the pounding in your head makes you stumble and you fall to your knees, your hands make a swift smacking sound as they collide with the concrete floor.

“Du Scheißkerl!” His voice was angry. You could hear the sound of his heavy boots coming closer. You turn your eyes towards his towering figure.

Unable to make yourself move you brace for punishment. You’re body tenses expecting a swift kick in the side or to be thrown across the room.

Once you’re in arms reach he wastes no time leaning down and grabbing a hand full of your hair. He lifts your head back so your faces are only centimeters apart. You gasp and shoot your hands up grabbing tightly onto his forearm.

The look in his eyes was a mix of arrogance and pity “I thought you promised to a good girl.” His voice was quiet and sarcastic.

You let out a whimper as he releases his grip on your hair. You fall back down onto the palms of your hands. Your breathing was heavy, your body exhausted. He swiftly places his hands under your arm pits and lifts you to your feet, before slamming you down onto the cold metal table. Your chest colliding with the table knocks the air from your lungs and you gasp sharply.

He places his hands on either side of you as he presses his hips against you, slowly leaning forward as to use his body weight to keep you pinned down. He gently brushes you hair behind your ear before whispering “I was going to go easy on you, but seeing as you’ve decided to misbehave..”

Your breath catches in your throat as you feel his cock twitch. You’re not sure weather to be excited or terrified. He releases his weight just enough to rip your pants and panties down to your mid thigh.

He begins running his hand over your exposed ass before spanking you hard. You let out a gasping moan as the sting sets in.

hi! if you don't mind me asking, how do you blur the logo on your gifs?

hi angel! it's actually quite simple, i'm gonna put a step by step under read more but if you wish to just do it i made an action to automate the process for me. just make sure you run the action before adding any adjustment layers OR select your gif layer before running it. click here to download and let me know if you have any questions!

alright so! after i've made the gif, i'm usually left with this. if you have only one layer afterwards, that's fine, it doesn't really matter. just always make sure your gif layer is selected. (my photoshop is in portuguese but it should be pretty easy to follow, lmk if there's any questions)

step one: duplicate your gif layer and don't worry if the filters are still activated or not, doesn't really matter. the only thing i usualy edit is the opacity of my layer cause that second is sometimes at 50% so i change the duplicate to 100%. step two: then, add gaussian blur to your duplicated layer. my default one is this one but you can always edit afterwards if that's too much/too weak. so don't worry too much about that now. now we're left with this:

step three: now, to make sure the blur only stays on the logo you're gonna make a layer mask. for anyone not sure, here's where to find it:

and you'll be left with this:

step four: use the select tool (M) and ctrl + A to select the entire image, then delete the entire thing. make sure the mask layer is selected and not your layer, otherwise it will just delete your layer. after you've deleted it, just click anywhere (or ctrl + D) to unselect your image.

step five: select the brush tool (B) and paint over where your logo is. i usually set the size to 35px cause that covers most logos but you can edit if you need something bigger/smaller and i keep the shapness bellow 10% to make sure it blends a little better.
