not to complain or anything but even just wanting to convert to judaism is not easy
as i've explained in another post the reform congregation i've messaged said they only convert people who have jewish partners. i will probably write them another email to ask if they're serious about that but if they truly are, then my options for finding another congregation are slim
where i live we have a few jewish communities. they're all orthodox, except for the reform one that i already messaged and a conservative one. the issue is that they're all really far away (2+ hour drive when using public transport, car is not possible for me)
the closest two are the reform one and an orthodox one (both around 40 minute drive with public transport). i think orthodox judaism is great in many ways, but i'm not the optimal candidate for it (gay, not quite cisgender)
so unless the orthodox congregation near me LOVES that i will have to use public transport on shabbat to get to shul and that i'm queer, my only options are to hope that the reform congregation was just playing or that the conservative congregation 2+ hours away will let me convert 🙂
or i pray that i coincidentally fall in love with a jew and marry them but i doubt that that will just happen because what are the chances lmao

A lot of people know that Palestinians elected Hamas as their government, but what a lot of people don't know, is that for a few years, Hamas ran a children's program similar to the likes of Sesame Street with the sole purpose of radicalizing Palestinian youth. It featured a man in a bootleg Mickey mouse costume and a female child host and it called for the slaughter of all Jews. It's purpose was to brainwash children against Israel and literally Jewish people as a whole. It ran for multiple seasons.
I was going to attach a link to an unbiased deep dive with clips included that was posted by YouTuber nick crowley several years ago, however when I went to look for it just now, it seems have been removed in the wake of the conflict. I think it was unwise of him to remove it because it was very necessary context into what is currently happening and it was presented in a very unbiased fashion.

some people on this app have such a distorted view of judaism by equating it to christian theology and ideals.
everything i have learned and experienced about judaism supports the idea that most of us do not give a fuck about the spiritual beliefs/beliefs of others as long as they’re not violent or abusive.
we’re “chosen” because we agreed to doing more for Hashem than everyone else, NOT because we’re special.
(i’m definitely biased) but judaism is one of the world’s most tolerant, forgiving, and loving religions. the most shaming, vindictive, and accusatory parts of christianity have nothing to do with judaism. (believing that we need to convert people because we’re right, the whole sacrament of confession, believing that we can condemn people to go to hell, etc.)
before you start shitting on judaism, i beg you to do actual research into what we believe and how we interpret our holy texts instead of assuming anything.
also before shitty people tell me in the comments — i know judaism isn’t perfect, i believe extremes on either end of religious or not have a very easy time being abusive and violent because they often don’t allow any room for beliefs that differ.
