memory: when i was a toddler OMW back home with my mother on one of those intercity travel buses when we suddenly heard women screaming only for me to look down & see dozens upon dozens of cockroaches running up my legs & under my dress
#legitimately traumatized me for life#pretty sure i felt no way about bugs up until that point in fact beetles were my favorite to grab &play with in my kindergarten's... garten#sorry#there were hundreds of them running around everywhere on the floor. i have no recollection of what happened next or later that evening#apparently it was because of the hot weather & something about the bus that made it so that all those roaches escaped & dispersed everywher#still feel sickened when i hear that bus company to this day#Events That Formed My Sundowning Neurosis. soon as the lights dim i turn into a purely atavistic prey aminal#it happened again when i was with my cousin in the summer when my mother sent us out to get something from teh bodega#& my cousin was like trying to reassure me that no roaches were crawling up my legs but there actually were#it was just too dark to make out until we reached a lamp post O_O that was years & years ago BTW#IDC that they are harmless i wrote this post because there was one in my bathroom just now & all i could do was scream for help#apparently barely cos i was told it was a “pathetic scream” i was Paralyzed !!!! they were like what would you do if you lived by yourself#literally Die & let that thang take over my house IDKcaus i am not going anywhere near it#AUUURRRGHHHH go away pleeeaase. let Us be civil OK leave me alone please leave me alooone ( that one video )#i have no fear of bees or wasps or whatever other ones libellules i forgot what the name was in english. oh dragonfly. it doesn't matter how long you two have been together he still gets so flushed after any kiss from you. you have such an effect on him, it's crazy. so, he doesn't even notice the lipstick stains left on him- he only learned when he heard ace snickering about something and commenting on his left cheek.
he was so flustered by that and learned to always check his face after you kiss him, he has a status to keep up as dorm leader!! he doesn't want to be improper or anything...or hear all the teasing from the others. but he does secretly enjoy it that you love to give them to him.
whenever you pepper his faces with kisses and he has to use something like a handkerchief to rub it off, he'll be all red in the face and mutter something like "oh dear..." under his breath as he worriedly goes to a mirror. but you've sworn you've caught him smiling a little, on multiple occasions.

when you come up to him and press kisses on his face whenever he’s asleep and trying to nap- he’ll groan tiredly and tell you not too because he’s too tired to wipe off all your “damn lipstick” right now. (let’s be REAL leona) you usually see a small smirk on his face with his eyes closed though. leona will seem even irritated if you'd stop.
he’ll roll his eyes when he wipes his lips with the back of his hand and sees it stained with the color of your lips and pull you back in for another. by the end of it his lips are smudged around with the shade of yours. its definitely a sight to see if it's a pinkish color.
leona doesn’t actually really care, I mean a lot like the others he’ll make sure to get it off before going out or something… though there may have been a few times he’s forgotten or missed it because he is usually half-asleep when you’re smooching him.

every time you kiss and smooch him, he's so smitten, his brain cant function and he can't think of really anything or anyone else. in the privacy of his office are his favorite moments when you come to check on him and give him affection. this man is putty in your hands idc!!
so needless to say, the first time this happened to him- he doesn't even notice, like riddle. he'll be in such a dreamy mood and state while he does his paperwork. when jade comes to him about something, he immediately covers his mouth with his gloved hand trying to hide the amusement he clearly is feeling when seeing azul like that. he doesn't even tell him because he thinks its funny, jade only said "ah i didnt notice (name) was here earlier..."
azul was confused but brushed it off because he deemed this behavior normal from the twins. azul only learned the hard way when he heard floyd who couldn't keep it to himself.
every time you kiss him azul tries to remember to, but once again he's stuck on thinking about you. when he looks at himself in the mirror to wipe it off, he's got such a stupid grin on his face. his favorite spot to see where its left is right under his mouth where his beauty mark is.
jamil viper
he feels the lipstick left on his face usually and places his fingers against it and has the smuggest smile... he loves it honestly. within the privacy of him in you, when he feels it smudged and left on his face it makes him weak. he pretty much doesn't forget to rub it off still, but sometimes you may see the reminiscent color left on his face.
he oddly enjoys putting your lipstick on for you, jamil would do it for you if you ask him. he likes choosing his favorite colors that you have to put on you. i mean, there's also the perk of him getting kissed as a thanks so he's not complaining.
if you did it out in public, well he will let out a small huff and discreetly tries to wipe it off hoping no other dormmates or god forbid kalim saw him with it, he'll only tease him with mushy things about how cute him and you are together. he pretends like he doesn't like them, so it is rather funny to see. he just doesn't want to appear like that in front of others.

he literally does the same thing to you ALL the time. only he chuckles and coos while rubbing it off of your face gently. whenever you two are done kissing both of your faces are covered in each other's lipstick. he personally really likes the look of you like that.
he usually looks into his compact mirror from his uniform, he laughs saying something like "oh my, look at what you've done, dear." like he just didn't leave the same exact thing on your face as well.
vil 100% buys you more and more lipstick... like literally pick what you want. he'll give you the best and prettiest brands, he loves seeing you in them anyway. he'll be amused and point out its a brand he bought for you as he wipes it off his cheek carefully. he also knows exactly what colors would suit and compliment you the best.
idia shroud
idia was a huge ball of nerves when it came to kissing you at first, he's had zero experience, and he feels insecure about his lips- as they're chapped and scarred a bit from him biting his lips out of anxiety. you got him some vaseline and flavored lip balm for him, but he only likes it when you put it on his lips for him.
the tips of his hair always gets all pink, like his groovy card in the ghost marriage event- when you kiss him, and he sees the lipstick stains imprinted on his skin. he is flustered beyond belief, but he always craves more from you- once you start, he cannot seem to get enough of you. idia gives you this toothy grin and wipes them off with the sleeve of his jacket but whenever you get red lipstick on him, and he does that it just ends up looking like blush on his pale skin.
love love loves any flavored ones like lip gloss you use that taste sweet. definitely use them because it'll always work on idia. you literally make this man dizzy and lightheaded with your lips- he doesn't seem to care about the lipstick getting on him one bit when it's the two of you. he'll only feel embarrassed if you give him a small one if you're out and cover his face nervously.
malleus draconia
malleus kisses you so much that his own lips turn the color of your lipstick. not only does it attack his whole face, but you've got his lips in that shade too, he only notices when you point it out and laugh. he'll smile and hum, only to lean in for more from you.
its funny because if you're trying to give him a kiss- with your height difference you'd end up getting a stain on his neck- at best. he thinks it's amusing as he chuckles. he'll give you a real kiss then. malleus is honestly lowkey proud to have them on him, he sees it as a sign of your affection and love from you so why wouldn't he like it? he has this dumb smirk on his face when you've got the darkest shade and you kiss him, it's the most visible on him of course.
like vil, he'll happily supply you with however many you want. malleus loves seeing you wear lipstick, it's really his favorite thing. but as i've mentioned he prefers dark shades on you the best out of them all, for sure.

AITA for defending a teacher in my friend group?
Ok, preface : I've stopped bringing this up because I understand it bothers the friends in question. Also, this might be stupid and me overthinking, but it annoys me.
I (18,he/him) am in first year of college and I've made a few friends. Notably, Dan (18M) and Sarah (18F) - fake names obv. Important detail, we're all French in France and we're doing English studies, so French isn't our first language but we're pretty much all bilingual.
One of our teachers, who I'll call M, speaks only in English during our classes, likely because he's American (he understands French and probably knows how to speak it, but his classes are oral practice ones so it makes sense he'd use exclusively English). During one of our first classes, maybe the second or third week, he told Dan to go sit somewhere else because he was being too loud, and that he'd have to stay sitting away from the friend group until the end of the semester.
Dan is understandably upset by this, not incredibly so but you know. Except this really isn't an injustice, like at all? Dan (and Sarah) is very very loud and speaks a lot, generally not of the topic we're supposed to be discussing during the class, and generally in French. During the class when M told him to move, he told him like 3 or 4 times to speak less loud, speak in English, speak of the subject.
I personally think, as an aspiring teacher, that it was smart of M to immediately move Dan instead of giving him chances upon chances continuously until it was the end of the semester and he had disturbed the class all the way, but again - I understand Dan would be upset.
The problem is that I did defend the teacher to Dan and Sarah, who were very adamant that he was being excessive and should have at least given Dan a second chance. Eventually they questioned why I was so passionate about this and I stopped talking about it.
What makes me annoyed is that when I complained about another teacher for taking his powerpoints off the uni's website (out of annoyment that not a lot of people came to his classes - out of all the classes he's one of the few where there's no attendance and you can just. go) Sarah said that actually he was kind of right, and said I was being stubborn about it (because I complained particularly about the fact that this teacher had like an Italian accent which combined with the shit microphone made it difficult to understand what he says).
I'm also kind of worried about something else about all this : me (and M) are white, and Dan and Sarah are black ; the latter two like to joke saying that M is racist (which idc, it's like when I say someone's transphobic for annoying me or smth it's a joke) and stuff and I'm afraid I'm being unconsciously an asshole and on M's side instead of Dan and Sarah's because M's white or smth. I'm probably overthinking it, I'm not racist, none of my entirely poc friend group has ever told me I was being racist except for a joke (the same kind as said earlier) but y'know.
Even more INFO, I know it might just be a question of me actually being too passionate about this, because I get really bothered about this kind of things especially in scholar situations (I tend to defend endlessly and usually uselessly both students and teachers, but usually more students because I've had a lot of shit teachers). Plus, I want to be a teacher, and I've been told a lot growing up to try and put myself in the teachers' place to understand why they do X or Y. On another note, I absolutely do not reproach being loud to Dan and Sarah, I am very loud without meaning to all the time and I talk a lot all the time.

How would you rank the gens?
Ope I feel like I'm gonna upset some people LOL so disclaimer remember these are just my takes.
But this is how I personally see them (counting remakes as being part of the gen they remaking):
Gen 9 - Paldea Region
I've been thinking about this since the games came out, so I'd like to say recency bias isn't as much of a factor here. Bugs aside, I genuinely, genuinely love the storytelling, characterizations, and open world approach. FRIENDS THAT FEEL LIKE ACTUAL FRIENDS?? HAVING THE LEGENDARY WITH YOU THE WHOLE TIME, AND IT TOO HAS A PERSONALITY & BACKSTORY??? THREE SEPERATE STORYLINES THAT CONNECT TO A CANONICALLY DEAD PROFESSOR AND AN "EVIL AI" FINAL BOSS??? Like omg. I was amazed. I honestly usually dislike the "gimmicks" each generation brings, but terastilization caught my interest and I have a strong feeling nothing will personally top it as a gimmick for me. The DLCs really sent it all home for me for the #1 spot, like oh my god LOL. Past DLCs always just felt like something extra, but I literally cannot see this game as being complete without Kieran, Carmine & the rest of Kitakami/Blueberry peeps & their storylines. My interest in the games only grew because of all of it - and that's a massive compliment given the fact of how hard it is to accomplish such a level of monumental significance with only a few hours of gameplay. I've yet to replay the game with earlier access to The Teal Mask, but I feel like this would make it even more immersive. Just pure chef kisses here.
Gen 2 - Johto Region
A very close second. Heartgold/Soulsilver is the most elite remake in existence and idc if it's old school, I'll die on this hill. Johto is just so full of life - the continuation story is amazing, the immersion into culture and legendary stuff??? Mwah. Silver is an excellent rival, RED being a thing (the ultimate level of iconicism), and the double region will always hit. The soundtracks HIT and my god hearing them remastered iS INCREDIBLE. I even get obsessed with the pokeathlon dome and I'm usually not someone who gets into that kind of stuff. But THEY MADE IT FUN. And I love all the cute activities you can do with your team that can follow you around. So glad they brought this feature back. :')
Gen 5 - Unova Region
Oooooh I loved the reset of Gen 5. It's based on where I'm from and there were so many refreshing aspects of Black & White. From the new pokemon, to the NYC culture, to N & the whole beautiful storytelling there, and a sequel that somehow made everything even MORE polished. I literally remember referring to this region as the "Isshu Region" before the English names dropped becuase of the hype LOL. 10/10, cannot wait for these remakes. Gamefreak don't mess this up.
Gen 4 - Sinnoh Region
Oh, Gen 4. You hit good. The lowkey dreary vibes of Sinnoh is very nostalgic to me, and Piplup is one of my best buddies. Cynthia being the very first female Champion, and being as fearsome as she is, was such a big deal to me. Definetely Barbie'd her a bit in my mind because I look a like her and loved how much of an academic she was (but I def do not have her length in hair, lmao). Soundtracks are fire, of course. The way legendaries were integrated in the story without going too Dragonball Z was IMMACULATE, and the lake trio will always be my fave lil buddies. The only con I'd give this gen is that I disliked the HM reliance & D/P are practically unplayable to me since Platinum exists. I had low bars for the remake once I heard it wasn't Platinum, and ugh, they really dropped the ball. HOWEVER: while it isn't main line, I fucking love Legends: Arceus and would rather have that over an excellent remake, tbh.
Gen 1 - Kanto Region
This is another nostalgia one for me because of the fact that I quite literally was introduced to pokemon since before I can recall most memories (this is what happens when you have an older sibling with a gameboy, lol). It's probably tied with Gen 4, tbh. Firered wasn't my first game, but it hit really good because I "played" so much of R/B/Y. I know Gen 1 has its faults, and it's often seen as being pretty bare bones in comparison to other generations. And while I completely agree, god damn, what a good foundation for a franchise. Every town had a personality to it and is very memorable to me. The soundtracks are FIRE. Smaller pokedex, but damn does team building hit (and the starters are elite). Blue was also consistently my favorite rival until Kieran, lol. #oldrivalshipping/conflictingshipping was the original OTP xD
Gen 7 - Alola Region
So there's a lot of things I liked about Gen 7. It took a really big risk by breaking the formula, and it really immersed me into the Hawaiian culture & seeing your pokemon more as friends. I loved looking at pokemon in a different way and some of the pokemon introduced in this region are among my favorites (e.g. Ribombee, Bewear, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, Rockaruff, to name a few; starters also HIT). NEBBY AND LILLIE ARE ELITE. The professor is so lit, and Team Skull is the funniest team organization alive. AND YES, GET RID OF THE HMS. I honestly think a remake would make this gen jump up a bit more for me - the 3DS could barely handle this game, and it was showing. The facial expressions also need some work LOL, and I honestly dread the tutorial of the game. I like the ultrabeasts conceptually, but the execution of their involvement in the game is very DragonBall Z-ified. Ultra Necrozma lowkey would've been an amazing time for a "light" type even if it didn't make much sense, but hey, it was an awesome nuzlocke-killing moment anyway. xD
Gen 8 - Galar Region
I actually have a lot of play time for this gen. I was very obsessed with it when it came out, and could probably get glued to it all the same nowadays. But in hindsight, I realize a lot of my attachment to it was because of the semi-open worldness & ability to create a lot of different kinds of teams with a lot of new and old pokemon I like (I also liked having access to things earlier, like Ice Types before the end of the game lmfao). I still have a few things I really enjoy outside of it, though, like Hop's storyline & the setup of the gyms being in this stadium, sports-esque setting. But the plot? Eh. I have a lot of constructive criticism on how some shortcuts were made, and especially with the whole darkest day stuff lol. The only thing I liked about that fight was the dogs coming in and being cool; I wasn't impressed by or interest in Eternatus at all. The Leon fight afterward was fun, though! But oof, those weird men with the sword and shield hair afterwards were also just...no. :D DLCs also didn't quite hit that hard - it was more about having more pokemon than anything for me. So overall, it's fun to play, but I'd definitely change up the plot to make it better.
Gen 3 - Hoenn Region
This is where I think some people might wanna fight me, and to that I say you're probably valid. I don't know what it is with the Hoenn region because I actually don't have too many critiques about it (e.g., let's have less water routes); I just have never been able to get into it quite the same as I can others. I should honestly give it another shot, but I think I'd wanna do Emerald over Omega Ruby/Sapphire given the route they took everything with the remake lol. That's about all I have to say on this one since I never really connected with it as much!
Gen 6 - Kalos Region
This one feels like an especially hot take to have atm given where the pokemon community is in general LOL. Critical opinions ahead......Listen...no offense, but Gen 6 just ain't it for me at all. xD It's probably the one gen I actively dislike. The games felt way too easy with too much hand-holding/handouts, Team Flare & Diantha were a joke (and I'm not even a competitive player), and the whole group of friends felt more like an annoyance to me more than anything. They just weren't flushed out right. Neither was the plot. Like what was that plot. Outside of that, a lot of things just felt like "Look! Pokemon is in 3D now!!" over and over again because of how rushed the game was. So other than introducing fairy types & having pretty protagonists with some new clothing options, this gen is pretty forgettable to me. And that's a shame, because I like pokemon! I was one of those people who were curious on if we were gonna connect to Kalos for Gen 9, but I'd geniunely pick the DLCs we got any day of the week. I don't think Legends ZA will change much of my opinion on the mainline game, but given how much I loved Legends Arceus, I'm hoping it can be used to retcon & generate more interest/connection to the Kalos region in general.
Again, these are all just my personal opinions. I hope you all can enjoy pokemon in any way that feels good for you :) <3

Random Grell thingz I've accumulated in my head bcs I'm delusional but without context bcs I am going to write a legit novel abt this woman one day
Idc what anyone says, I am an avid believer of the fact that Grell has always been considered beautiful by her peers even in her human life

Grell always knew about her being queer (minus actual label bcs Victorian era duh) but not about her gender

So when she's not around he never even opens the game, but he never uninstall it

Sometimes Tengen manages to convince him and Sanemi to play with him and the others, he only agrees because of Kanroji of course

The kids can speak 3 languages by the time they’re in middle school and often mix up words or sentences, they get embarrassed but Duncan and Courtney think it’s the cutest shit ever
Duncan’s the type of dad that falls asleep on the couch and wakes up as soon as someone changes the channel lmao

The Duncney children definitely make up dances routines or learn cool tricks and if they want something then they have to perform it for their parents(my mom ALWAYS made me dance like girl wtf 😭😂)
Duncan uses his artistic skills to help his children make their own merch of their interests!!(merch was impossible to get back then so my big brother would draw stuff for me or craft me something that was related to something I was into) I can definitely see Duncan being that dad that would use acrylic paint to paint a normal black tee so his kids can rock their interests
Duncan keeps all his chains, collars & old band tees & if his children ever get into the alt style he definitely lets them wear them, he’s still alt as fuck tho.
Duncan definitely helps his kids make the BEST Halloween costumes!! While he always goes the cheaper route he’ll spend hundreds if he has too 😂 regardless his kids always look extra good and extra scary!!
When Courtney’s mad it’s scary but when Duncan’s mad? They’re terrified and know they’re in DEEP shit. The chill parent getting angry is always scary af lmfao

- Courtney had a list of names before she’s even pregnant. She has made sure to discuss it with Duncan, and they have both come up with First and Middle names that they can agree on.
- They are both very traditional so incorporating a family member’s name is a must. Even if it’s a variation of the name, it’s just something that needs to be there.
- Courtney already has set nursery/bedroom themes for all her children.
- This also includes set Halloween costumes. And it’s not just for the kids, she and Duncan will also participate, at least for the 1st Halloween of each child.
- No babysitters. That’s what family is for. (This might be biased because I couldn’t even imagine having a child and my mom not watching them. It literally scares me to think otherwise.)
- Duncney go above and beyond for their children’s birthday parties. It’s always the talk of the town.
- A bouncy castle 💀 holllyyyy shit the way they are banned in my household because they ALWAYS flip over. Oops.
- Courtney always bakes for whatever fundraiser the children have. They love helping her out too!
- Whenever they have a project Duncan always steps up and helps them make the coolest volcano. They get a note saying they can no longer participate in a science fair because they almost blew up the auditorium. 💀
- Each child has a scrapbook that filled with absolutely everything. It’s a sentimental 18th birthday gift. 🥹

i need to talk about lucky luke 2009 somewhere. it was amazing. it was everything i would’ve wanted. i haven’t lived until i watched that movie.
1. they made billy the kid an adult but they actually made it work. they showed that he has a soft spot for kids and calls himself a kid. which made me think that he has some childhood trauma from when he was a child. and it's revealed that billy killed his family when he was 7 and lucky luke sent him to juvenile prison. billy said that lucky luke stole his childhood. since billy never got to be a kid, he just acts like a kid when he is an adult. that was an actually nice addition, they added depth to him, other than making him a spoiled brat.
2. they made lucky luke horny, the luke in the comics never would’ve been distracted by belle in the saloon! they made him send an air kiss towards belle. they made him pucker his lips and send a kiss. now, i’m not complaining about the air kiss bc jean dujardin has nice plump lips but it’s out of character for luke. luke would’ve reacted like the second picture in this post.
3. let’s say that i’m over number 2. both belle and calamity jane got to kiss luke, why couldn’t jesse james have a little peck too?? when jane saved luke from being hanged and jesse came, he held luke’s face and luke smirked as he said his name. it’s chemistry, they have chemistry. they should’ve made out.
when jesse found luke, brought him his gun and asked to duel with him, luke should’ve just started making out with him to distract him!
4. jesse james. he had a long ass cape and he used it to be the most dramatic person in the town. they made him a theater kid. he was quoting hamlet, caesar and othello, getting on the floor and performing his heart out. he was just so dramatic. and the little hip tilt/lean he does. oh it’s beautiful. he’s beautiful.

(i’m sorry the english name is just so) in the comics, he was just luke’s talking horse but the movie began and he was just a normal horse. that was until lucky luke tried to fucking kill himself??? here’s the scene: lucky luke laying on train tracks bc he thought he killed poker pat and he regretted it bc of the promise he made to himself when his parents were murdered. it was a duel, either kill or be killed (or the secret third option that luke always choses, which is destroying the opponent’s gun)(he didn’t choose it this time) and he ‘killed’.
now here he lies on the train tracks, wanting to kill himself. he hears someone say "use your brain, no trains use this track" and sees no one around. then the same voice says "come on, let's go home". he starts hearing his horse bc of his damn guilt and past trauma! holy shit! and idc that the movie explained it as "he has always been able to talk, it's just that lucky luke has never tried to kill himself b4". he hears his horse in his brain. no one else can. it’s his past. his present. he is a poor lonesome cowboy who is oh so lonely. he only has his horse who starts talking to him in his mind. mind blown, i know. it’s my new headcanon.
6. the music. now why is the guitar from bad to the bone in this. why is elvis singing. the setting was around the 1890s or something, and i’m sure bad to the bone didn’t exist back then. it was hilarious
7. the fucking comedy. i did not expect good jokes. i was surprised. somehow the jokes were fucking amazing. even when the atmosphere was serious, they made me laugh bc why are you showing luke wiping his sweat on his ass by kind of groping it in the middle of a duel?? i don’t know the purpose but i laughed hard.
or when he was having a ‘love montage’ with belle and he suddenly started playing a guitar. and singing. and his voice was elvis’ voice. and he was also in his underwear. it’s just so unserious. and yes, they actually made him wear the underwear from the comics. peep the button, lucky luke is slutty in this film.
and when he slapped belle twice bc it was an old family tradition. he was so serious about it. i don’t know how they did it, it was just so funny. they also made jesse james smoke (a) weed and get high. he straight up lighted a weed on fire and took some puffs. and got high. then billy the kid was like “this is the kind of weed you don’t smoke” *fucking takes a puff and gets high as well*. top tier comedy. wouldn’t want it any other way.
8. the parallel with luke’s parents. actually, fuck the parallel, it’s straight up the same. his dad was getting shot at and his mom jumped in front of him and they both got killed.
now in this scene, we see luke and belle. luke is wearing his dad’s clothes and belle is wearing something similar to his mom’s clothes. she is jumping in front of luke to save him. this is the exact scene with luke’s parents. lucky luke took his dad's role in his childhood house with belle and she dies the same way as his mother. this fucking shows that if he stays there living as his dad, he will end up the same. sike, she’s alive, the bullet grazed her shoulder and jane fixed it up. but the message is still there, luke shouldn’t live like his dad or he will die the same way. since he gave up his gun and started living as his dad, he will always be vulnerable if he continues living this way. it’s also kinda ironic that cooper wouldn’t have tried to kill him if he actually took the trip to europe
9. the casting. they did lucky luke justice. jean dujardin was perfect for luke. especially his side profile. his nose was perfect for lucky luke.
10. the production. it was actually so well made. the set, the clothes, the audio, the camera shots, everything. jolly jumper’s mouth didn’t even look stupid when they made him talk! i was impressed
i think this is it, i don’t think i have more to say at the moment. it’s all thanks to this post. i don’t think i would’ve found out about the movie if it wasn’t for them.
