As of recently, you had been having trouble with one of the lower guards. It wasn’t too bad, some light teasing comments here and there and perhaps a few disguised insults thrown within but it had never been a physical problem; you never felt the need to tell your mate. You were still technically a newborn, though you had battled down on keeping your strength maintained and you did not have as much of the desire to drink every living thing within a one hundred or so mile range anymore. You were doing better and you thought you could handle yourself.
That was until Alec was away on a mission, as he typically was. Casually, you decided to take a stroll through the castle, making your way to the courtyard to sit and read for a while. It had become a sanctuary within the walls of your newfound home and often times you found yourself sitting beneath the large tree, admiring the well kept greenery and feeling the warmth of the sun hitting your porcelain skin. It was just so calming to your frantic thoughts, and none of the humans could see in here, so why wouldn’t you take advantage of it?
However, it was only on the way back to your room that an issue started to arise. You had bumped into a few of the lower guards chatting away within the training room corridors and you sent them a friendly smile, continuing on your way. You failed to notice that he was one of them, just as you failed to notice the way he snuck away from the group to follow you, clearly seeing how lost in your own mind you were.
You snapped out of your thoughts quickly when you heard him whistle, stopping and turning around.
“Hey Y/N, whatcha doing?” He eyed the book in your hands, taking a few steps closer to take it out of your hands. “ Dracula, huh? How… ironic”
You gave him a tight smile, though you noticed the ever growing smirk on his face and knew it was not good news. You pulled the book from him hesitantly.
“It was a gift.” Your voice was stiff as you spoke.
“A gift?”
“Mhm. From my mate.” You enunciated the word, hoping to remind him that you were in fact mated to one of the deadliest vampires to exist, though he didn’t seem to take the bait.
“How lame… i’m sure I could give you a gift with much more sentimental value than that.” He continued to smirk at you and the uneasy feeling in your stomach grew. You laughed nervously, unsure what to do before taking a step back.
“Remember who you’re talking to. I- I must be on my way.”
You winced as you stuttered, and your brain began to hiss insults at your stupidity.
What a futile attempt at sounding threatening, Y/N.
As you took another step away from the guard you felt him grab your arm. You froze. Your book flew to the ground.
“Don’t be such a stick in the mud, Y/N. We can have so much fun together”
You hissed loudly as his grip tightened, pulling you towards him. Little hairline cracks began to appear on your arm, and you whimpered quietly. This seemed to entertain him more and his smirk grew into a menacing grin.
“Come on, don’t be such a bitch. Live a little. Or has that little witch twin dug his claws too deep into you…”
“I highly suggest you remove your hand before I do it for you.”
A growl came from behind you both and you turned, seeing your mate standing a few feet away from you. His eyes were black as they settled on the cracks forming on your arm, and you could just barely see the ring of red surrounding them. You winced as the guard instinctively tightened his grip momentarily, larger jagged lines creeping up your arm, and suddenly Alec was in front of you both, forcefully removing the guards hand from where it held you and tearing it from his body with ease. A scream of pain sounded through the stone hallway as he fell to his knees. Alec simply smirked as he stared down at him before humming, speaking over his shoulder to address you.
“Sweetface, why don’t you go and find Jane? I believe she was looking for you.” He turns to watch you as you nod.
“O-okay…” You pick up your book from where it had dropped to the floor, quickly leaving the corridor.

Sat upon the stool of Jane’s vanity she continued to brush your hair gently, eying you in the mirror whilst you twisted your previously injured wrist around.
“Are you sure you are okay?” She questioned, placing the brush down and beginning to twist a braid into your hair.
“Yeah I’m good. I just wonder what Alec-” You smiled up at her. As if on que, the door opened and said boy waltzed right in, making his way right over to where the two of you resided.
“Speak of the devil and he shall appear.” Jane raised her eyebrows playfully, a teasing tone in her voice making you giggle.
“Shut up” He threw the snarky remark to her, a smile on his face regardless, and she laughed. He turned his attention to you, kneeling in front of you.
“Are you okay, my love?” He took your wrist in his hand, twisting it gently to see if any damage remained. It didn’t, of course, but that didn’t stop him from pulling it to his lips and pressing kisses to it.
“I’m okay.” You reassure softly. Alec smiles at your sweet nature before shooting a look at Jane. She rolled her eyes, finishing up the intricate braid she had twisted into your hair.
“I’ll give you two a minute…” She moved to the door, turning back momentarily “Just a reminder that this is my room.”
Alec scoffed and watched the door close.
“I swear sometimes I wonder why she has to be so sassy all the time. I can see where you get it from now. Too much time together. ” He smiled up at you and you giggled again.
“As if you can hardly talk.” You placed a hand upon his cheek as he raised an eyebrow. You sighed, smile dropping “Is he..?”
Alec simply nodded and turned to place a reassuring kiss to the palm of your hand.
“He shall not bother you again, sweetface.” His eyes hold the promise however you could see something else beneath it and suddenly you were asking what was wrong before you could stop yourself.
“Why didn’t you tell me he was bothering you?” His voice hardened slightly, though still held a softness to it nonetheless. “Were you worried that I would-“
You cut him off with a shake of your head.
“No, love, none of this is your fault. I should have told you, it was just… it was never really that serious. It didn’t seem like something I couldn’t handle on my own.”
“Was he physical with you beforehand?” He frowned, hands finding your own and stroking the top of your palms soothingly. You shook your head again.
“No… it was just little comments and stuff.” You shrugged “I’m sorry. I should have told you.”
He shushed you gently and stood you both up, pulling you into his arms.
“Mia amore, you are not at fault. I promise you I am not angry at you whatsoever. I know you can handle yourself.”
You smiled up at him whilst he pressed a kiss to the tip of your nose. You wrapped your arms around his neck and gazed up at him lovingly.
“Thank you, my love. For helping me and for not being angry with me”
“Always.” He whispered as he leant down, pressing a kiss to your lips. The door opened as he did so, revealing his sister with a grimace on her face.
“Well at least you aren’t going at it on my bed”
Your mate pulled away with a look of horror, turning to glare at her. You laughed at their bickering .
“Jane. I swear to god-”

I do take requests! I just haven't really announced it yet lol
For now, I'm just I'm just doing the Elite Four (Alec, Jane, Demtri and Felix) and I've added Jasper as well.
No smut for Jane atm, though, simply because I'm not sure how to go about writing it yet. However, I can do some fluff pieces with a bit of kissing/touching.

Could you please write Headcanons for the Volturi watching their mate getting ready for the day (getting dressed, doing their hair, makeup)?

Aro
The mornings were always fun.
Aro would wake you up by peppering soft kisses against your face.
“Time to wake up Mi amor!” he always had such a childish tone when waking you up.
Once you were awake and out of bed he would wait for you to shower and he would pick out an outfit for you.
He always knew what you wanted to wear so he had no problem with finding which clothes etc.
Once you were dressed he sat you at the dressing table and watched adoringly as you brushed your hair.
If he was in an exceptionally good mood he would sometimes run his fingers through your hair.
When you went to put on makeup he would scowl and complain that you didn’t need any makeup because you were beautiful just the way you are.
Caius
He hated yet, loved the mornings.
He loved to watch you while you slept, admiring you and wondering how he could have gotten a mate so perfect.
He was sad when the sun rose but excited at seeing you awake and he was always itching to talk to you.
He loves to just press kisses against your face, smiling while saying. “Time to awake Mia Cara!”
He always runs his fingers through your hair to comb it, saying that he’s way more gentle than some brush. {Pls I feel like he would be offended if you chose to brush your hair with a regular brush}
He’d take some clothes out during the night, usually jeans/skirt and a top but every so often there would be a dress, and you would wear those.
Not much makeup with him as he’d complain that he wouldn’t be able to see just how beautiful you truly were.
Marcus
He’ll let you sleep in.
If you wake up in the morning, great!
He has everything ready, your clothes, soap etc.
He loves to comb and/or braid your hair.
The most ‘makeup’ you’ll get is colored lip balm and if you’re lucky, lip gloss. Only for special events can you whip out some eyeshadow and blush etc.
Jane and Alec {They would be similar.}
They’re both usually gone by the time you wake up but sometimes they are there.
NO MAKEUP. They hate it.
Jane doesn’t see the point in combing your hair since it’s just gonna get tangled again anyway.
Alec on the other hand understands that self-care is important and sometimes, he’ll help.
Alec just stares at you while you sleep. {TOTALLY NOT IN A CREEPY WAY…}
Jane is more… dignified and will steal glances at you while you sleep.
Demetri
Not always there when you wake up but he’s the type to leave and kiss your forehead first.
Doesn’t like makeup but if it makes you feel good then okay… but not a huge amount.
Same opinion on the hair with Jane.
Sometimes stares at you while you sleep but sometimes he takes more discreet glances at you.
Loves you literally so much.
Felix
Peppers your face with kisses to wake you up… he may accidentally crush you slightly with his strength.
He doesn’t see the appeal in makeup but if you like it then okay then.
He’ll offer to comb your hair for you and ends up yanking viciously when he finds a tangle.
He’ll hug you so much until he has to go on his guard shift.
He loves you so much

mainly because he thought that if you were feeling this way then maybe he's accidentally done something to make you feel less than

he would be shocked by such a revelation

you actually felt kind of bad for heidi - jealous of her undeniable beauty, but empathy for everything else
it must be terrible, not knowing whether someone actually likes her or if they are just unable to resist her charm
but it was hard to take away the thoughts, intrusive and rude as they are
if she asked felix to leave you, he would; even if it was by influence of her power
if she asked, he'd be hers.
it scared you to death that someone had the option to reach out and takes what's yours at any minute
felix, however, didn't notice until recently that you were intimidated by her beauty
and he felt like an idiot for not knowing
but he was there by your side, reminding you that even if she tried, he would never forget or abandon his love for you

JANE:
she thought the whole human insecurity thing was tiring
and it was the first thing she's happy to do away with when she finally gets to turn you
she knew how much you resented heidi
and she knew how unfair that was, but she wouldn't say that to you
and if she had to, she would take your side against heidi's any day of the week; you were her mate and she loved you dearly
she just would want you to recognize how beautiful you are, and how wonderful
"heidi isn't gunna steal me away... I'm not even convinced that she likes me as a friend."
even though she thought it was silly and tiring, she would always respect your feelings about it

Big text scary to me too, you know, I’m the one writing these bricks. I’m the real victim here, living in terror of my inbox.
But yes, Volturi sweet headcanons.
I’m afraid I don’t really have any for you.
I view vampirism in Twilight as this inherently cursed deal, a monkey’s paw if you will. You get beauty, but it's an extreme, alienating beauty. You have the brain capacity of a supercomputer and you can't sleep, so good luck knowing a moment of peace ever again. You get immortality, in fact you physically can't destroy yourself. You’re slave to this all-powerful thirst that, unless you’re Carlisle Cullen, 23, trying to die in an English forest and the year is 1663, will make you a mass murderer. Your brain development is frozen at the age you were at upon turning, and your memories will always be as clear as the moment you made them, so if you have any traumas that’s going to be a problem for eternity for you.
These creatures seem to me designed for misery.
And the Volturi are a very good, if sad, example of that. Aro killed his sister, Jane and Alec were lynched and their gifts are perpetual reminders of that, plus it’s likely they’re ostracized, Renata was probably molested, Heidi was probably a prostitute, Marcus speaks for himself.
Judging by how Meyer likes her vampire backstories, I’ve pretty much accepted that whatever Felix, Demetri, et. al.’s lives are like, they’re all probably crying themselves to the sleep that will never come. Even if they’re not, as I explained above vampirism is pretty much a recipe for misery.
Then we have the fact that the fluff Volturi vampire did exist, it was Didyme. She’s dead. Her brother killed her, and now he and Marcus are miserable forever.
Plus, this coven is trapped by its mission, or Aro is at any rate. Atlas can’t shrug, because the world will fall. I’m sure he enjoys his power, but it’s not a power he can opt out of having, and what does that power really mean, in the long run? What does it do for him?
Power, to vampires, is not what it is to humans.
I think by the time we meet him in canon, Aro has grown disillusioned with power. He sits on that throne because he can’t leave.
Just... vampires are depressing, and the Volturi are extremely depressing. Aro most of all is facing such a bleak life and a bleaker end (given where Breaking Dawn ends and what Meyer has hinted).
Sweet headcanons is... well, to me these people are 10% law enforcers, 90% miserable bastards.
Except for Corin. Judging by her gift, Corin is living her best life being that friendly drunk girl at parties who genuinely doesn’t mind that you threw up on her.
Ooh, but I do have one thing you might like, and that is my conviction that since the Volturi can’t really do sports (they can’t do vampire sports in the middle of Volterra, and wouldn’t make a habit of regularly vacating the palace for frivolities either), and they do have to have some kind of communal activity, they’re probably into theatre. Hellenistic theatre, to be precise, consisting of 1-3 actors, a chorus, and a lot of masks. This was a competitive theatre form, where the best play would be remembered as the best one. In other words, you can have an unlimited number of small teams, those who don’t want to act can do playwriting or costume/set design- there’s so much room for creativity - and there’s the thrill of competition. Perfect for the Volturi, and absolutely something Aro would do. Caius, I’m sure, hates it. To him, theatre died when humans stopped having lions eat the slaves in the amphi.
Edit: I can’t let these people have anything nice, so I just realized some well-meaning but oblivious fool would inevitably get the bright idea that he should produce the tragedy of Iphigenia. Aro cries. Caius loves it, it’s the only play he’s ever liked, and the cast is so thrilled that they decide to do a remake the next year. Cue “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”-style title card, with the text “Aro bans the theatre”.

Ever since Max started dating, Alec had become incredibly protective. Alec liked David of course – it was impossible to find someone who didn’t. But that didn’t mean Alec approved.
And it didn’t help that the blond boy was absolutely terrified of Alec.

Magnus, Clary and Simon had let them have it since the Lightwood siblings had a tendency to carry the world on their shoulders even when nobody asked them. They rarely ever let loose ever since their worlds had plunged into sickness and demon attacks. Especially Alec. So, Magnus had let his husband be that 18-year-old boy again. The boy who got drunk and fought with his siblings and sang songs about Magnus’ pretty eyes.

New Life (Demetri Volturi x Female!Reader)
You had just returned from your visit to Italy, feeling a little sick on the remaining hours of the journey home. You shook it off as travel sickness, sleeping off the few remaining hours. It helped a lot but you still felt terrible. You were on the phone with Esme by the time you got home. You said you planned to go straight to bed, not feeling well and we're prepared to sleep it off in the next day or two at the most.
Just before you rolled over to sleep, you texted Demetri that you had gotten home but were going to sleep for a while since you felt sick.
That night, you woke up feeling much better again and willing to eat. Whilst you waited for your pasta to boil, you texted back Alice, Demetri and Heidi, informing them you were still feeling pretty ill but felt much better.
Your first night home went pretty well beyond that. You ate dinner, watching a couple of movies until going back to bed at eleven pm.
You woke up to a sharp pain making you sit up immediately. Groaning as another stab hit you. You put a hand to your stomach, unsure if you were going to be sick or not. You immediately rushed to the toilet but nothing happened and after some time you felt better, heading back to bed. You glanced at your phone beside you seeing the time and a text. It was 2:33 am and the text was from Demetri. You smiled slightly.
'Goodnight, my love.'
It was comforting in this moment. No one ever spoke about how hard it was being sick and living alone with no one to comfort you. You rolled over, scolding yourself for the immaturity. You had travel sickness before, you've even caught bugs after family trips abroad. Quit being a baby.
You woke up the next morning feeling bad again, perhaps it wasn't the best idea to have had pasta? Your stomach must have been unprepared for food, making you worse than better. You slept through a lot the day, by this time certain this would be the worst of jt and you'd feel fine by the next morning. You stayed in bed, dosing in and out.
The next morning, you cracked your eyes open. You hadn't woken naturally, the pain came back and was back with a vengeance. You groaned louder than before, clutching your stomach. You felt like you were going to faint, be sick and were being ripped in half all at the same time. This didn't feel right at all.
Maybe it was your appendix?
It could have been which means it was very bad you had left it until now.
You rolled out of the bed, this time squealing in pain. You began to cry, very scared and in agony. You shakily grabbed your phone, hand and knees on the floor. You sobbed as you searched for Carlisle's name. You rolled onto your back as it rang and then Carlisle picked up.
"Hello?"
"Carlisle...can you come get me pl-" Another cry interrupted you as the pain intensified.
"Are you alright? Are you at home?" You couldn't answer letting out a cry of pain instead. "I'm driving to your house right now. Are you home?"
"Y-yes." You finally managed to respond through a sob.
The phone slipped from your grasp as you groaned again, reaching for the phone you saw that the call had ended. It would take Carlisle fifteen minutes for him to arrive driving time, if traffic was light that is. You needed someone and someone now.
You quickly got Demetri's number, moving to a stand.
"Hello, my love." You could practically hear Demetri smile on the other side of the phone.
"Demetri!" You sobbed.
"Darling, what's wrong?"
"It hurts to bad!" You cried sliding down the wall by your stairs.
"What hurts? Breathe, love. What's wrong?"
"My stomach hurts so bad!"
"Have you called Carlisle?"
The room began to spin. "I... I...called."
"(Y/N)? (Y/N)?" You slid down the wall, unconscious, phone falling from your hand and unable to hear Demetri call out in a panic. "(Y/N)!?"
Through blurred vision, you saw who looked to be Carlisle hovering over you. He was talking but you couldn't distinguish what he was saying. You were pale, a layer of sweat covering you. Your eyes shut once more.
You woke up to an IV in your arm, but weren’t in a hospital. You were pretty sure you were in Carlisle’s house. This was confirmed when he entered, immediately acknowledging you were awake. “How are you feeling?”
“Better…the sickness is gone and there isn’t any pain.”
“That’s good to hear. You were dehydrated, as well as your blood pressure and sugar being very low too. Your lucky to have been found when you did.”
“So, am i okay?”
“You are.” Carlisle nodded, assuring you.
“What was wrong with me?”
Carlisle hesitated. “Demetri is on his way, he’s asked that I tell you when he arrives.”
“I was on the phone…” You vaguely remembered the moment.
Carlisle nodded again. “Yes, he was very worried. He should be here soon. You’ve been asleep for a little over a day now.”
“Does he know what’s happened to me?”
“Yes, just relax for now until he gets here. He simply requested as he wanted to be there for you. You had him very worried.” Carlisle patted your hand.
You nodded, feeling comforted that it was Demetri’s request, and not because you’d be given a life threatening diagnosis.
After a couple of hours, Demetri hurried into the room to your bedside. “My love, you’re awake! Are you feeling better?” Demetri’s hands moved to cradle your face and one of your hands moved to cup his hand that was on your jaw.
“So much better.” You smiled slightly at him. Your eyes drifted to the twins. “Hey, you two. It’s good to see you.”
The two nodded at you and Carlisle entered, closing the door.
“Would you like us to leave?” Jane asked and you shook your head.
“No, it’s fine. Surely it can’t be that bad. I don’t mind you two being here.” You assured the twins. “Besides, it was just a bug or something right Carlisle? Travel sickness and me making stupid decisions and not looking after myself.” You grinned but it faltered when Carlisle gave you a soft smile, but it wasn’t in agreement.
Demetri let go of you putting his hand on the top of the propped bed.
“Did he tell you?” You asked Demetri who nodded. “What is it?”
“This wasn’t travel sickness, or any other illness.” Carlisle began. You let him continue. “When I found you, I knew immediately what it was.”
“If you’re about to say a disease, this is a really dramatic way to go about it.” You said nervously.
“Its not.” Carlisle shook his head. “To be specific, I heard two heart beats.” “Excuse me?” There was silence. “What do you mean two heart beats?”
“(Y/N)-” Carlisle was about to explain, perhaps you weren’t on the same page but you interrupted him, telling him otherwise. “I am not pregnant!” You were met with silence again. “You heard wrong Carlisle! I’m not pregnant!”
“I’ve done the tests and they all came back the same, you are very much pregnant.”
“How!? How long!?”
“I wouldn’t know. You show signs of being around two months along.”
“That’s impossible, my first time was six days ago.” That realisation hit you like a train, it had been with Demetri, of course, which must have meant it grew faster being half vampire. You immediately broke into tears.
“We’ll give you two a minute.” Carlisle said, leaving and the twins followed.
You were terrified. You hadn’t thought of having kids, you weren’t sure you wanted children. You weren’t ready to have a baby. Demetri pulled up a seat beside the bed. He hadn’t said a word, and was much more contained than you were. Seemingly in thought, his eyes a dark red.
“I’m sorry.” You sobbed.
“Why?” He turned to ask you.
“For how I’ve reacted…for how I feel.”
“Never be sorry for that. I want you to let out every tiny emotion you have. I don’t want you holding any of this in, you hear me? Not a single thing. Talk to me, I’m here with you.” Demetri’s attention completely on you.
“I’m terrified. I never thought about- I don’t know if I want to…but I feel terrible. I know you wanted kids your whole life. If I took that from you-”
“Don’t think about me. I love you. I’ll support you no matter what. I don’t want you to force yourself into doing something for me. Tell me more, do you think you’d want to…?” Demetri trailed off and you shook your head. “I couldn’t. I couldn’t do that.”
Demetri slowly nodded. “That’s okay.” He pulled your hand into his own, cradling it in both of his. “What do you need? What do you need right now? I’m here. What do you need?”
You began to cry again and in unison, you both pulled one another into a hug. Demetri quietly promised you that everything would be okay.
“It could kill me.” You sobbed. “I feel like I have to face death and I’m terrified. I don’t know anything about children, and I’m not ready to die.”
“I’ll look after you, my love. Don’t worry, I won’t let you die. I’ll drag your soul back to me and down heavens stairs if I have to.”
“You’d have to change me.”
“I’ll take care of you.”
“The pain…”
Demetri hushed you, rocking you side to side slightly, in his arms. You wished you could say you felt much better about everything once the news settled but you didn’t.
You moved to Volterra with Demetri for this new start. Instead, you had more fear, fear that you couldn’t be able to love the child if you survived it all. What if you weren’t maternal? It wasn’t as though you had much opportunities to find out.
Things changed when you began to show, more specifically, when the baby started to move.
You inhaled sharply, feeling a slight flutter. “Oh, that was strange.”
“What?” Alec asked looking up from his book.
“The baby is moving.” You smiled slightly when you stomach moved as though to confirm it.
Alec stood up and was immediately at your side. “I don’t see anything.”
“Hang on, just wait.”
Suddenly it moved and Alec couldn’t hide his shock. “That’s amazing.” He said in awe.
“Wait until you get a load of this though.” You smiled, taking Alec’s hand and putting it to the side of your swollen stomach. “Tap your finger.” You said softly and he did so. He jumped slightly when his hand got a swift kick.
“I need to tell Jane. Demetri hasn’t said anything about this.”
“Demetri doesn’t know…until now.”
On time, Demetri barged in. “How could you tell Alec and not tell me about my own child!?”
“Oh there you go, you’re so dramatic!” You rolled your eyes. Alec moved back so that Demetri could do it. You’ve never seen Demetri’s face light up in such a way.
One night, Demetri asked you again. “How are you feeling about everything? You seem to be much happier.”
You cracked a smile. “Yeah, well, not only is this kid growing in me but also growing on me. We’re having a bonding moment right now.”
“Oh?”
You nodded. “We’re playing.” You smiled as you poked your stomach, getting pokes in response in the same areas.
Demetri smiled at the sight. “I’m proud of you, (Y/N).” You looked up from your cross legged position with a smile.
You didn’t remember anything of the birth, you only woke up as a vampire and everything seemed to happen so quickly. Your throat was burning, as though lava was making its was up and down your throat.
You didn’t get to say goodbye, Santiago and Afton taking you out of Italy and to the Cullen’s so that you could learn control. When your mind had cleared.a bit from the blood lust, it had been weeks since you were in Italy.
You began to think of Demetri and your baby. You were informed you had a son. The image motivated you to get control, after all, it was the means to returning back home.
Demetri took his son to bed, he was the double of Demetri. He was only a few years old yet looked to be about nine years old. However he was very intelligent and insisted he heard about his mother. Demetri noticed his son would grow anxious if not hearing about you. However tonight he was asked a different question from his son.
As Demetri sat by his bedside, his son spoke. “When will mother come home?” “Soon. I hear your mother’s doing very well and asks about you.”
Your son seemed pleased with this. “Really?”
Demetri nodded. “Yes, asks more about you than about me.”
“I thought mother wouldn’t know who I am.”
Demetri tutted with a playful smirk. “Your mother loves you very much.” He stood up. “Now, get some sleep so your mother doesn’t hear that you went to bed past your bedtime and get me in trouble.”
Your son grinned, settling into the covers. Demetri flicked the lights off, telling his son he loved him, hearing a quiet response repeating his own words before Demetri closed the door.
It had been six years and the time finally came to return home. You were given permission to return to Volterra.
It took you a couple of days but the last thing you expected to see was a few waiting for you at reception.
You immediately grinned seeing Demetri, the twins and Afton but halted at the new yet familiar face.
The boy looked to be fifteen, he was tall, just a head smaller than Demetri. The same blonde hair and red eyes. You couldn’t believe it. You hadn’t seen him before, yet you knew it was your son.
Demetri stepped around him to meet you, giving you a kiss and holding you close, telling you he had missed you. Then he turned back to the boy, gesturing for him to come. “Come and meet your mother.”
You were in awe of the boy, this is what you had part in creating? How could it be possible? He was breathtakingly perfect. The boys eyes were wider than usual, very vulnerable to your impression of him and clearly nervous.
He moved forward silently, unable to take his eyes off of you. He had dreamed of this moment since birth. He couldn’t meet you and now it was finally happening. There was a face to the name now and he’d spent the rest of his time etching your face into his memory.
“My son…” You said to yourself in disbelief, reaching out to take his shoulder. He let you, wanting more and more by the second. You seemingly felt the same as you immediately pulled him into a hug. Your son immediately hugged you back, his eyes closing and keeping a tight hold on you as though you could disappear at any moment.
“You’re perfect.” He heard you mumble quietly. He only squeezed you tighter, unable to trust his voice. You apologized to him softly for not being around but promised you’d never leave him again. You noted he was stronger than a human, but had a heartbeat and was warmer than a vampire. Demetri’s genetics had appeared to overpower yours.
“Let’s go inside.” Demetri said and your son turned but you didn’t let him go. You kept your arms loops around him, walking with him, eyes not tearing from one another. He too, not willing to break away.
That night, he went to bed but couldn’t sleep, not without seeing you one last time in case this was all a dream he was about to wake up to.
Sure enough you came by, knocking on the open door. “Hey. You just about to head to sleep?”
He nodded.
“I don’t suppose you’re too old for a goodnight from me?”
He chuckled. “Maybe, but I won’t say no.” He reached his hand out and grinned. You grinned in response moving forward. To his surprise you took his hand but climbed up on the bed, stepping over him and lying down behind him. You wrapped your arm over him and kissed his cheek. “Get used to this because I have six years of cuddles to catch up on and you’re never too old to have a cuddle with your mother!” The last part was more of a demand making him chuckle. You son turned under your arm to face you and you lightly ran your fingers in his hair, unable to believe just how much love you had for him.
Your mind was brought back to your pregnancy and how you felt about for some time. Seeing your son now, it made everything worth it. You were glad to have went through with the pregnancy and over come the fears it brought. You were thankful because you knew there were families out there who didn’t get it as good. You wouldn’t change a thing about your decisions. Your son proving to have been worth it in the end.

Twilight Characters Cast as Greek Deities - pictures + explanations
Warning:
This is a long one (but there are a lot of pretty pictures!)
By Greek Deities I mean all of them - the Primordial gods, Titans, Olympians, Daemones (personified spirits), and Nymphs. I focused on the deities personalities, abilities or history to find the right fit! Relationships are not taken into account!
Thanks to the anon who encouraged me to combine my love of Greek mythology with Twilight! This is for you!
These are simply my headcanons, so you're free to disagree or expand on them as you like!
The Olympic Coven
Carlisle's foremost characteristic is his compassion and desire to heal others. He saved the lives of most of his family members; Edward, Rosalie, Esme, and Emmet. Asclepius, the son of Apollo and famed physician, was punished by Zeus for saving the life of mortals from certain death. He was elevated to godhood in death.
Esme is described as the heart of the family. In ancient Greece, the hearth was the center of the home and family. Hestia received the first offering in every household since she presided over the preparation of the family meal.
Jasper participated in two major wars, both as a major and then as a second-in-command. He isn't rash or sadistic enough to be Ares, but his gift for strategy and charisma makes Pallas, the Titan god of Warcraft and military campaign, an excellent choice for him.
Alice has the gift of foresight, but her vivacious personality is why I chose the Titaness, Phoebe, out of all of the prophets and oracles. Phoebe is derived from the Greek word "phoibos" which means bright or radiant!
Emmett has superior strength than most vampires. Kratos is the personified spirit of strength, might, power and sovereign rule.
Rosalie was a difficult choice because she's like the lovechild of Aphrodite and Athena. She's beautiful, passionate, and desires children (procreation) but a she's also intelligent and interested in mechanics and engineering which is Athena's domain. I went with Aphrodite in the end because Athena is a maiden goddess and asexual.
Edward was an easy choice however because there are surprisingly few gods who rule music. Apollo is the god of music, poetry, and healing (to name a few) and Edward has an interest in medicine. To my knowledge, there are no Greek gods with the ability to read minds as Edward does.
The Quileutes
Sam was forced to keep the Alpha position by Jacob, which is an immense responsibility. Atlas was condemned to bear the entire sky for leading the Titans in their war against Zeus. Atlas came to mean endurance. (I thought of Hades at first, and I totally agree with you anon - he's got the 'hard on the outside soft on the inside' thing down to pat, but Hades fit another character better!)
Jared has the penchant for gambling. At first, I thought Hermes would be a good match for him, but Hermes many other titles (so, so many titles). I decided that Caerus, who is the god of opportunity, critical time, advantage and profit, was a better fit since those are attributes of (successful) betting.
Paul has a temper, but he's not a sadist like Ares. Poseidon is infamous for his temper tantrums, causing earthquakes and tsunamis (he's also a petty bitch, and I wouldn't put it past Paul to be one too if he could get away with it)
Jacob has a love for mechanics, and not many can say that they built their car! Hephaestus became the god of smiths, fire, and metalworking and his creations are prized and sought after by all the other gods!
Leah was challenging to cast. Initially, I thought she'd make a good Artemis, but that goddess has notoriously born hatred for all men since her birth. The only side of Leah we get to see in canon is the front she puts up - burnt and bitter. She's argumentative, sharp-tongued, and downright vicious. Eris is... not pleasant to be around. I think Leah would join Artemis and become her handmaiden once she's calmed down and away from Sam and Emily.
Seth is our sunshine boy!!! (need I say more???)
Embry is reserved and likes his space. I think he's the type to take advantage of the trails around La Push and go on long walks and enjoy his own company. Pan was the god of shepherds and forests of the mountain wilds. The Greeks associated his name with the word pan which means "all." However, its true origin lay in an old Arcadian word for rustic, but I couldn't resist quoting Hitchhiker's Guide in the picture - it's my favorite. I'M ONLY HUMAN!)
Quil is remarkably relaxed and cheerful for a boy who's supposed to be raging with testosterone *cough* Jake *cough* Paul *hack*. He seems like the sort of guy to enjoy a good party, and Dionysos certainly does. It doesn't hurt that he's best friends with Pan (Embry).
Emily was against Sam imprinting her at first. She was a victim of circumstance (it’s still shitty what they did to Leah), and Persephone was precisely that: a victim. Hades asked Zeus for the hand of one of his daughters and Zeus said that he could have Persephone, but that he'd need to kidnap her because Demeter would never allow him to have her daughter. He stole her and later tricked Persephone into staying with him for eternity. They fall deeply in love by the end tho.
Kim's personality isn't known in canon - other than that she's shy. She's a favorite of mine though, so that's why she's here! In my headcanon, Kim is intelligent and offers great advice. She's cunning as well, and nothing goes past her - Jared doesn't stand a chance. Metis was a councilor of Zeus during his war against the Titans and hatched the plan which would make Cronus regurgitate Zeus's siblings. (She's also the mother of Athena - pls read her story it's incredible! ಥ_ಥ)
The Swan Family
Bella is a shield, both in her human life and as a vampire. She does what she can to protect her loved ones, even going as far as to sacrifice herself by drawing blood as a distraction during the battle against Victoria. Soteria is the goddess and personification of safety, deliverance, and protection from harm. Deliverance, the action of being rescued or set free, is appropriate since Bella saved Edward from his inner demons as well.
Charlie represents the human laws in Twilight as a police officer. He's calm and more accepting than most (though he has his limits *cough* Edward *cough*). Rhadamanthys was a famously just lawmaker during his mortal life and was appointed as one of the three Judges of the Dead and King of the Elysian Fields after he died.
Renée tends to shift her hobbies and interests from one to another. Horme is the personification of effort and represents setting oneself in motion, and starting an action.
The Volturi
Aro is the current king and ruler of the vampires. He isn't a philanderer, so Zeus was out, but how he murdered his sister, Dinyme, in cold blood to keep Marcus from leaving the Volturi (and thus losing his power) reminds me of Cronus's desperate attempt to thwart his prophesied defeat at the hands of his child. Cronus ate his own children and familicide was one of the worst crimes you could commit in ancient Greece.
Marcus was DEPRESSED after he lost Didyme, his mate. The guy whispered "finally" when his head was about to be ripped off. Penthos is the personification of lamentation and mourning.
Caius is a sadist whose answer for everything is death and destruction. Ares revels in war for its own sake. He delights in the din and roar of battles, in the slaughter of men, and the destruction of towns. When Thanatos (the grim reaper) went missing, and people stopped dying, Ares sulked and famously said: "What's the point of war if no one dies?"
Jane was easy. She experienced such pain when she was burning at the stake that she could wield it with her mind when she became a vampire. Lupe is one of The Algea, who are three sisters that are the personification of pain and suffering - in both body and mind - grief, sorrow, and distress.
Alec's power reminded me of Hypnos, who puts you to sleep before Morpheus gives you dreams. Alec shuts off all of your senses - kind of like turning the off switch.
Sulpicia isn't given much of a personality in canon, and in Life and Death, Smeyer simply turned her into a female Aro by giving her his abilities of tactile telepathy. She deserves more credit; she's incredibly old, and I like to think that while she's locked up in the tower, Sulpicia keeps up with the times by watching the news on TV or reading news articles on the internet. Mnemosyne was the Titan goddess of memory and represented the rote memorization required to preserve the stories of history and myth before the introduction of writing.
Didyme's power was inducing happiness. Euphrosyne was one of the three Charities and the goddess of good cheer, mirth, merriment, and joy.
Athenodora is said to be one of the oldest vampires still walking the earth. We don't know much about her, but I bet she's created a few vampires in her time to keep the species going. Gaia was born at the dawn of creation, and all of the heavenly gods are her descendants.
Corin's addictive power is what persuades the wives and Chelsea to stay content in their imprisonment. You go through severe withdrawal by leaving, but it can be done since Eleazar, whose ability Aro coveted, left with Carmen. Peitho personifies persuasion and seduction - not 100% fitting to Corin's talents but the best I could think of...
Felix is a high-ranking guard and relies on strength and combat techniques to serve his leaders. His physical capabilities are so powerful that he has maintained within the guard for centuries. Alexiares, whose name means unconquerable, is one of two brothers that preside over defense and fortification of Olympus's gate.
Demitri's tracking ability and "Casanova lifestyle" immediately reminded me of Hermes, who is the god of herds, travelers and hospitality, roads and trade, thievery and cunning, heralds and diplomacy. It's fitting because Demitri is also shown to be polite and restrained, but he undoubtedly has a few aces up his sleeves to have survived in the Volturi guard for centuries.
Chelsea's ability to strip people of their emotional ties and forge new ones is unnerving. Ananke was the primordial goddess of necessity, compulsion, and inevitability. She emerged from Chaos fully formed at the beginning of all creation and is thought to be untouchable by all, from mortals and the immortals. She's able to control the fates of other gods and make them slaves to their own urges if she so chooses.
Afton's ability to make himself invisible is not found in any Greek deity, but Hades owns a helmet which is made of darkness and renders the user invisible.
The Denali Coven
Eleazar's ability to see other's potential reminds me of Prometheus's forethought and the unshakable belief he has in the humans Zeus forced him to create.
Carmen is pretty chill and peaceful from what we get to see of her in Breaking Dawn. She isn't overly troubled by the legality of things since she accepts Renesmee, whose existence goes against both the laws of vampires and those of nature, at once. We see that Carmen is maternal and gentle when she asks if she can hold Renesmee. Eirene is the personification of peace, and for Carmen, I interpreted that as personal peace and not upholding the legal system. Statues of Eirene often depict her as a maiden holding the infant Ploutos (Wealth) in her arms.
Kate is OOOLD but not the oldest vampire in existence. Since the power of lightning is solely in Zeus's domain (and Kate isn't a serial rapist), I had to overlook her electric ability. Electricity is used as a source of light, so I think Hemera is a good choice for Kate. She's the primordial goddess of the day and would disperse her mother Nyx's dark mists every morning to bathe the earth in the light from the ether.
Tanya reminds me of the Titaness Eos because they both have an insatiable desire for handsome men. Eos shares Hemera's domain, and later took over her duty of bringing the dawn to earth by opening the gates for Helios's chariot.
Irina thought the Cullens had created an immortal child, which was the outlawed. To her, it seemed like the Cullens thought they were above their laws and reported them to the Volturi accordingly. Nemesis is the goddess who exacted retribution against those who succumb to hubris.
The Irish Coven
Maggie can detect lies. Aletheia's the personification of truth and sincerity.
Siobhan's talent is outcome manipulation, which I assume means she can affect the outcome of some event. Lachesis was the second of the Three Fates. She distributes the 'thread' of a life. "Lanchano" means to obtain by lot, by fate, or by the will of the gods.
The Amazon Coven
Zafrina's ability of visual projection reminded me of Pasithea's past time of inducing hallucinations and relaxation. She was one of the younger Charities but later married Hypnos and now resides with him in the Underworld.
Kachiri was the first out of the Amazon Coven to be bitten, but she didn't want to be separated from her two best friends, Senna and Zafrina, so she went back and turned them as well. I'm endlessly fascinated by their coven, so I didn't want to separate them here! Macaria is the goddess of "blessed" death which reminded me of how Kachiri came to collect her friends.
Senna is the quiet one, but that might be because she was wary around the Cullens. Gorgyra is a nymph in the Underworld and gave birth to Hade's orchardist. I can see her chilling with Katchiri and Zafrina in her son's orchard.
James’s Coven
James is an asshole. He’s so petty that he couldn't deal with the Cullen's refusal of sharing their meal, so he tricked Bella into coming to him by pretending to have her mother (how would he know who Renée was and wasn't she in Jacksonville??? Use your brain, Bella). Dolos is the personification of trickery, cunning deception, treachery, and guile - so basically, he's a nasty piece of work. He and James deserve each other.
Victoria was the first one I cast. She instantly reminded me of Hera because instead of punishing her husband/mate for his wandering eyes (greedy, in James's case) she goes to great length to punish Edward by trying to kill Bella, who is the innocent one in this whole shitshow. Hera, the goddess of marriage, should have picked a better husband because Zeus already was notorious for panting after every attractive face that came his way before they wed (heck he even cheated on her during their wedding celebration).
Laurent didn't give me a lot to work with since he's only portrayed as a coward. That doesn't seem correct because he came back to warn the Cullen's of James's plans and he later returned to Forks as a favor to Victoria. Epimetheus, the brother of Prometheus, was the Titan god of afterthought and excuses. I think Laurent regretted his decisions in the end, both for having traveled with James, and for having listened to Victoria. He also gave Bella the excuse that he had to kill her since Victoria was his old buddy.
Nomads
Peter was another difficult choice. At first, I thought Thanatos might be a good choice since Peter enjoyed fighting in Maria's army. Thanatos's gentle touch kills instantly, but Jasper was the one who killed the newborns. Peter fell in love with Charlotte, whose newborn powers eventually expired, but instead of "delivering" Charlotte to her death, Peter told her to run and chased after her. Kharon (Charon) transported the dead across the waters to Hades in his boat but refused those that couldn't pay for the ride.
Charlotte is a survivor. She isn't a fighter by nature, but she made it through the Southern vampire wars alive and then fled with Peter to roam free as a nomad. Nike is the goddess of victory - both in war and in peaceful competition. I think Charlotte conquered all of life's trials and also when it came to love.
Alistair is an ancient hermit. He's suspicious by nature and rather displeased with his lot in life. I don't blame the guy since he was betrayed by his father and as a vampire, the falcons Alistair loved flew away from him in terror. Ouranos was the primordial god of the sky and was later betrayed by his sons.
Garrett was a hotheaded patriot who willingly fought for the colonies' right to self-govern. He was a true believer in the American dream. Menoetius was the god of rash actions and violent rage. The Greek word “menos” means might, force, passion, and battle rage.
Maria isn't a nomad, but I thought I'd include her on the list. She lived in Monterrey with her coven, her mate and two others that were like parents to her, before they were destroyed in the vampire battle for territory. Maria was the only survivor, and she built an army to extract revenge and get her territory back. Poine is the personified spirit of retribution, vengeance, recompense, punishment, and penalty for the crime of murder and manslaughter.
The Egyptian Coven
Benjamin was a tough one because of his elemental powers. The Greek gods divided the four elements between them, so there isn't one deity that has control over them all at once. Phanes was the primordial god of creation in the Orphic cosmogony. He was the generator of life and the driving force behind reproduction in the early cosmos. Phanes hatched from the world-egg, a primordial mix of elements split into its constituent parts. So he sort of had control over the elements at one point before dispersing them among his siblings. (Phanes was later known as Eros).
Tia was a quiet woman but when she did speak her words were insightful, and there was gravity to everything she said. Epiphron was the personification of shrewdness, careful consideration, and sagacity.
Kebi was Amun's slave while she was human. He chose her to become his mate because of her good looks. She was helpless from the start, and we never get to hear her speak or show any indication of being unhappy with her situation. Aporia is the personified spirit of powerlessness, want and difficulty.
Amun was tricky because, to be honest, he's a bastard, but we mustn't forget cultural relativity. Slavery was considered to be a-okay back in the days, and it was probably a fantastic way to keep a vampire's kitchen stocked. Now not so much but Amun doesn't seem like the type to evolve with the times. He's possessive and paranoid, keeping Benjamin locked away in an ivory tower so the Volturi won't come and steal him away as they did to Demitri. He also deprived Kebi of her choices and made her his slave/mate in death as well. Along with ruling death and funeral rites, Hades is also the god of the hidden wealth of the earth, from the fertile soil with nourished the seed-grain to the mined wealth of gold, silver, and other metals. Benjamin is Amun's hidden treasure.
Humans
Jessica is a normal teenage girl. She likes having friends, gossiping, and has a crush on the most handsome boy in school who doesn't return her affections. Echo was much the same; she gossiped, but she wasn't meanspirited, and genuinely wanted to help her friends in the conquest of love. She lied to Hera, who cursed her to have an echo of a voice as punishment for distracting her from Zeus's affairs with her endless chatter. She later fell in love with Narcissus who spurned her affections.
Angela is the sweetest, most kindhearted person we get to meet in Twilight. Philophrosyne is one of the younger Charities and is the personification of friendliness and welcome.
Mike has the hots for Bella. He has an on-and-off relationship with Jessica but only asked her out because Bella told him to. Himeros is the god of sexual desire and the personification of longing, and yearning.
Lauren is jealous of everyone who is pretty, despite being the most popular girl at school. She's also standoffish and snobby. Hybris is the personified spirit of insolence, hubris, violence, reckless pride, arrogance and outrageous behavior in general.

hey could u pls rank everyone on how well you think they were cast from the books?
oh boy. uh. this may not cover like EVERYONE, and i’m just gna give each of them a number ranking
bella: 100/10. kstew is an icon and deserved none of the hatred she got for her performance. i love her so much and she’s literally a perfect bella, right down to the being gay part
edward: 7/10 in twilight to an eventual 3/10 in breaking dawn. rpattz started out fine but being a mortal human being was his enemy because he looked too mature by the time we got to BD. also this is just never what i expected edward to look like at all. but he looks nice in the first 2 movies
jacob: 2/10. i genuinely love taylor lautner but this just isn’t jacob??? i was always the nitpicker who got mad that they kept his hair short after new moon, because jacob does start growing it back out again in eclipse? taylor is great and he’s hot and i love him but he’s just nowhere close to the ideal jacob black
carlisle & esme: 10/10. i just really like peter and elizabeth and i think they were great. carlisle is younger canonically but i think it makes much more sense to have him be 30+ instead??? they’re both beautiful, i just wish esme was styled more consistently
alice: 8/10 on casting, 0/10 on styling. she was a victim of it being the mid-2000s, and they really just couldn’t decide what to do with her hair??? ashley greene is awesome though
jasper: 6/10 on casting, 2/10 on styling. i think eclipse was his best look, maybe BD as a close second? once again, super inconsistent and he looked really bad sometimes. i like jackson’s portrayal of him, but i think someone else could’ve done a better job. his awkward accent at times was just… terrible.
rosalie: 9/10. nikki is great. her styling was a bit shoddy sometimes though. my biggest wish is that they had either gotten a natural blonde or had her dye her hair, because the wigs really kill her look sometimes.
emmett: 10/10 actually? i don’t think they got his styling right until breaking dawn but kellan did a great job playing him otherwise. i wish emmett had gotten to shine more in the movies
seth: 10000/10 booboo stewart is a BLESSING
leah: 10/10 she’s great, but i was never entirely satisfied with her styling? this is a problem i have with just about everyone in the cast tho
jane: 9/10 i actually really liked dakota’s performance. as always, styling could be better
alec: 3/10 like… who is he??? he looks more like her older brother than her twin. the downside of casting dakota fanning is finding someone good to match up with her but these people do NOT look related at all, also he’s not scary
caius: 7/10 the styling, as always, is mediocre, but this is pretty much what i expected caius to look like, but maybe with lighter hair. either way, he’s good
marcus: 2/10, the actor does a good job but… this is not marcus. who is this old ass man?
aro: 0/10 what the FUCK. i think michael sheen gives a good performance but WHAT THE FUCK??? WHO IS THIS MAN??? THIS ISN’T ARO???? WHERE’S MY BEAUTIFUL, EVIL BOY??? IT’S NOT THIS

HMM HEY idk if anyone has asked you this yet but pls tell me abt alec’s mom & his relationship with her as a human !!! and then possibly his current perception of her looking back + his views on maternal figures now. does he appreciate them, does he shy away from them, etc??

first I wanna stop n saw a special thank you to jess who I love and adore beyond the stars. like ur an amazing friend and person but also I got so emo when I saw this bc ur legit the only person who regularly and frequently puts in effort to show me you’re interested in Alec and appreciate him and it genuinely means the world to me. now! mothers.
alec adored his mother. they lived a very simple life back then and so there wasn’t much more to their relationship beyond just loving kindness and a warm home. there concerns barely extended beyond the plot of their very small cottage. he doesn’t remember her beyond the feelings he had for her anymore but he does know that he loved her immensely. he would often wake up early to pick wildflowers for her. she always put the twins to bed even when they were older, making sure they were together and safe before she could sleep. she’d tell them that no matter what they always had each other and they should never hold back on loving on another, never let hate or anger get between them. she’d reassure the twins that the villagers were in the wrong when they persecuted them, but had enough sense to show them how to stay discrete. she didn’t know her husband came from a long line of witches, but she didnt for a second consider rejecting her children for their magic. she loved and fought for them until their dying day. she died being beaten to a bloody pulp by the crowd that strung up and torched her babies in front of her; Alec and Jane saw it happen while they burned. unfortunately Alec has a fresher memory of that than most other thoughts of his mother. the trauma and proximity to his transformation made it easier to remember. beyond this all he has left is the knowledge that he loved her like he does Jane: unconditionally, healthily, properly, truly. she was the only other person he loved.
looking back, she’s a murky memory. he knows that aro would have seen her in alec’s memory when it was still fresh and because he was a vamp when he saw it, aro can recall it with perfect clarity. he’s asked him to describe her and even depict her in drawings and paintings so he can remember. for a century or two, aro pacified him by telling him that seeing her and holding onto her memory would impede his grieving; of course, this was just his method of letting Alec’s allegiance to anyone outside the volturi decay. but after some time, he did have a portrait of her commissioned, but it never really satisfied Alec. he couldn’t be sure it was accurate and the idea that he couldnt recall her on his own upsets him to this day, he keeps her portrait in his room along with a smaller version on his vanity. its all he has to remember her by beyond vague feelings of unconditional love. her face is lost to him. the only other memories he has is the memory of the night he died (the colors and faces have long bled out) and a memory of lying beside his sister, going to bed with their mother sitting beside them, all three of them laughing.
when it comes to maternal figures, alec doesnt necessarily actively seek them out, but sorta sees them in a lot of the women in his life. this is actually part of why, despite his bisexuality, its hard for him to form romantic connections with women. he so often sees them as maternal figures instead. most notable are the volturi wives. he spends hours of each day in the tower where they’re forced to stay. only Jane spends a similar amount of time with them; everyone else barely visits them. he loves to spend time with them up there and bring them news of the world changing and talk for hours about his practice with the piano and violin, or with hunting/his power, etc. but his favorite activity is when he gets permission to take them out. he will spend hours strolling around the rose gardens, his arm in theirs, and just talk with them. its his favorite place in the world and he loves to be alone with the wives and let them spend a moment of peace with their adoptive son in the gardens.
when it comes to other mother figures, Alec is very sympathetic and appreciative of them. of all the Cullens, despite having no real interest in her, Alec would probably kill Esme last. knowing she acted as a mother to the others really softens Alec to her but in actuality, its just his unspoken desire that no one else watch their mother be killed as he did. if it ever came down to fighting the cullens, he’d petition aro to kill her last, or only before Carlisle. if it didnt happen that way, he’d blind the ‘kids’. he doesnt do it because its right; he just doesnt like his trauma being repeated. it makes him feel powerless.
tl;dr: Alec has been drinking his Respect Women Juice since 799 ad. and loves his mother like no one else. he sees her in other mothers and has a very high respect and love for mothers but nothing compares to his own mother, or the little memory he has of her.
