Bruce didn’t come here often. Perhaps that was terrible of him but he couldn’t bear to visit his son’s resting place. It was difficult to equate his high-spirited son, bright as the sun itself and endlessly brilliant despite the more he grew up in, to the cold and lifeless stone engraved with his name and words that did not encompass everything his son was to him.
His hands were full of flowers, Jason’s favorite books, a round rock, and his son’s favorite foods.
Bruce didn’t come here often, because it broke his heart even more when he did, but today was a day that love and grief triumphed over his need to avoid.
He walked down the winding pathway, Alfred a silent sentinel behind him. He hated it, but he understood. Today was the only day Alfred allowed himself to be emotionally closed off. He’d lost a grandson.
Bruce didn’t come here often, but his son’s birthday was a day Bruce would remember how to love and live again, just for Jason.
“I will be over here, Master Bruce.” Alfred stopped at his designated spot, where Bruce had added a bench and a draping tree to shade Alfred as he stood vigil.
The first time they’d- it was April, and the sun- after the funeral, Bruce was lost in the throes of grief and had kneeled over the freshly tilled dirt for hours. Alfred had stood there, in that same spot, in the city’s rare blazing sun until Bruce came back to himself.
Bruce had almost lost his second father that day, and what good was wealth if it could not prevent that? And so, water, shade, a bench, and a space heater was added.
Bruce knows better than anyone how stubborn Alfred can be, when it comes to matters of the heart. After all, he didn’t have to raise Bruce after Martha and Thomas died.
“Alright, Alfred.”
Bruce splits from the haggard butler with pointed looks at the water bottles he’d prepared for today for Alfred (who manages, this time, a faint but amused raise of an eyebrow) and walks towards Jason Todd’s grave.
Here where his son is buried, the grass is kept green. In April, Forget-Me-Nots bloomed and dotted the place where Bruce’s world collapsed with bright colors. In August, it is still green, but the tin engraved with the names of the deceased stood out without the flowers.
Bruce kneeled and quietly arranged the flowers before placing them in the tin. He set the platters of food down and uncovered them. The scent of chili dogs made his heart stutter, flashes of a bright smile and book references blinding Bruce with their nostalgia.
He swallowed, grief building, and placed the stone he’d brought atop the gravestone. He sat back, gripping Jason’s book with white knuckles.
Bruce didn’t turn around when clothing rustled behind him. Alfred would have verbally cut down anyone that dared to approach them today, especially here. That he didn’t do so was telling of who it would be.
“I’m still mad at you, for not telling me as soon as you knew.” Dick Grayson sat down, hand over one of Jason’s school bag pins he had carefully attached to the front of his jacket.
“I know. I’m sorry.”
“He deserved better. I should have been there.” Dick whispered, placing another bundle of flowers into the tin. It fit, but barely. “I would have dropped everything to come find him. Even if it wasn’t on time, even if it wasn’t enough, I deserved to be there when he was buried. We were family.”
“I know.” Bruce repeated, no less regretful. In his grief, he had wronged his loved ones. “I’m sorry.”
Dick casted a quiet, assessing eye at him. Bruce stayed quiet.
“It’s too dreary,” Dick said. He took out paints, little statutes of robins, bright birds, and bits and bobs Bruce knew Jason would have loved had he been alive out of his pockets.
“It should be more colorful,” Dick murmured as he placed them artfully against the headstone.
They sat there, for a while. Dick glanced at… at Bruce’s hand, and settled down.
It’d been a while since they’ve spoken, but he knew what the man intentioned to do today. This will be the most Dick will have heard Bruce speak outside of his civilian obligations.
Bruce took the cue and gently opened Jason’s book. He’d bought it for Jason- the first gift- and he’d read it to Jason every night. Dick had a similar book.
“Call me Ishmael. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse…”
——
A boy with black hair and blue eyes wandered amongst the graveyard. They’ve been here for a while, and the man’s low rumble was soothing to listen to. The shades that hung about the graveyard settled as he read out loud from the book as his son sat quietly beside him.
As the boy, invisible and intangible, brushed his hand against the gravestone, he wondered why they were reading to an empty grave.
——
Dick had left long before Bruce did.
And when it was time to go, as stars began to climb and as the cold began to nip at his fingers, Bruce heard a quiet voice.
“Do not stand at his grave and weep,” and Bruce turned, recognizing the poem. “He is not there. He does not sleep.”
But there was no-one.

Wanda Maximoff x Sorcerer!Reader
Summery: You could never escape Wanda, much less the Scarlet Witch. Even bound to a chair, you couldn’t help but fall into her again. Your precious witch.
Warnings: Dark Obsessive Wanda, sorta possessive, you’re tied to a chair, hurt/comfort, Wanda’s been feeling neglected, established relationship? Not really Wanda’s just obsessed with you, toxic relationship maybe
Word count: 1.1k
A/n: I had a dream Wanda tied us to a chair, sue me. This honestly got way softer than I intended LMAO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I was wondering when you’d wake up…” The words rang through your ears as you regained consciousness again, your eyelids fluttering opening to the sight of Wanda— no, The Scarlet Witch—before you. A sly smirk played on her lips, illuminated softly by the dim glow of red candles flickering around the room. She took a leisurely sip from her coffee mug before making it vanish with a flick of her wrists.
Your eyes squinted against the candlelight, trying to see through the madness that seemed to swirl behind her red irises. Something you tried to search into, only to be blocked out. She simply smiled at you, taunting you, teasing, her eyes darting lower to which you followed her gaze.
Now you understood why you couldn’t feel your arms, they were tied up to the chair, every inch of you.  “Wands…what’s going on?” You managed, attempting to keep your voice steady as you tested the restraints.
“Oh Detka, there’s no use in struggling,” She purred, chuckling in such a condescending tone it sent shivers down your spine. You would be lying if you didn’t admit you had found Wanda attractive before.
Right now that wasn’t the time for that, again you tried to reach into your head. Desperately trying to recall what led to this moment, but your memories were clouded completely until all your focus was on her.
And her only.
Your eyes weren’t familiar with your surroundings whatsoever, figuring it was a reality Wanda made for just the two of you. It resembled a home, something the witch had always dreamed of, something you failed to provide with all your lessons.
Still, despite knowing how unfair and neglectful you had been to her, you knew this wasn’t how to fix things, “Wanda, this isn’t right. Let me go.”
But she only laughed, approaching you the next second. She bent down to your level and you sucked in a breath, her cold finger grazing underneath your chin, forcing you to look at her as she slid into your lap effortlessly.
“Mhmm now why should I? You look so good for me, sitting there.” She murmured, her lips brushing against yours as her hands roamed across your body, landing to rest on your shoulders. You’d also be lying if you said you weren’t equally as affected. “You know we haven’t gotten time for ourselves since…well, Strange.” Her nose scrunching in distaste at the mention of your mentor.
“Honey, I'm his apprentice. I have to spend my time there, surely you understand?” You spoke softly, trying to reason for your obligations. “I’ve always devoted myself to you.”
“You call abandoning me devotion?” She scoffed, not for a second believing you, and yet again her eyes returned to their crimson color. Your unresponsiveness only pissed her off further, rolling her eyes and withdrawing from you with a wounded expression written across her face.
With another sigh, you bowed your head, knowing that the little progress you had made had been erased in milliseconds. Biting back the frustration, you reminded yourself of the delicacy of the situation. You had to be careful.
Wanda shifted in your lap, her gaze averted and hurt. Part of you longed to reach out to her, whisper all the things she needed to hear and make her believe you, but your hands were pulled back by their restraints. Damn, you were really starting to hate these things.
“Untie my hands?” You asked softly, gesturing towards the ropes. Wanda’s eyes snapped to yours, looking at you in disbelief.
“No.” She muttered darkly, “You’ll only run from me.” She explained, her words falling heavy. Slowly, she shifted, positioning herself in a way that allowed you to cradle her, her nose brushing your cheek, gently nuzzling against you.
Your lips parted, so that’s what it was? Wanda was afraid. She wasn’t just upset; she was afraid of losing you. You understood what she needed, to be reminded of your so-called devotion, understood again. When her head landed to rest on your shoulder, you took your chances, risking your life to ever so gently place a kiss on her head.
You felt Wanda stiffen against you, but she nestled in closer, tilting her head just the slightest bit. Though the position was quite awkward and strained your neck, you persisted, peppering slow lingering kisses across her face. A soft smile tugged at her lips, and you took the opportunity to ask again, “I just want to hold you, untie me?”
Reluctantly, Wanda opened her eyes, not really wanting to move but deciding to trust you when you gave her a crooked smile. Without much effort, she complied, reaching behind you to loosen the ropes on your hands. As the knots came undone, you sighed in relief, rubbing at your wrist to ease the soreness.
“Thank you.” You whispered, pulling Wanda close as you wrapped your arms around her. She hummed in response, pressing her lips to your neck. You put considerable thought into your next words, you had missed these moments with Wanda, moments where the world wasn’t red it was just green.
“I’ll talk to Strange tomorrow, to let him know I’m pausing my lessons.” You said into the silence, and Wanda’s arms tightened around you.
“Really?”
“Really, I need to show my girl she’s my priority after all.” You affirmed and Wanda smiled, Wanda—no longer just the Scarlet Witch, but the woman who held your heart entirely. With a gentle touch, she pressed her lips against yours in a loving embrace; satisfied with your answer.
You smiled into the kiss, absorbing as much of her as you could. Eventually, you broke away, but Wanda was quick to lean her head against yours, and a breathy chuckle escaped her lips, echoing yours. Unable to resist, you pressed a soft kiss to Wanda’s nose, enjoying the way it scrunched up in response. The witch blushed shyly and buried between the crook of your neck, and you had trouble believing this girl was set to be the destroyer of worlds.
The thought only made you hold her further. The sudden weight of responsibility bore down on you. It wasn’t how you wanted things to go, but it was how it had to be. For Wanda’s safety and the promise of gaining your future with her, undisturbed.
Swallowing hard, you brushed loose strands of hair from her face, tucking them behind her ear and taking one last look. Recalling what you had been taught, you chanted the familiar spell you had been practicing, murmuring it softly in her ear to ease her. Her eyes drooped heavily before she went completely limp against you and all you could hope was that she’d understand.
Carefully, you untied the ropes holding your legs together before shrugging them off. You stood up, mindful of Wanda, tightening your grip around her, lifting her up properly. As you walked down the unfamiliar path, slowly transforming back into what it used to be, you were determined to prove your devotion to Wanda.
But first, you’d help her fulfill her own destiny, no matter the cost.
Even if she didn’t quite understand it.

The Elevator
Synopsis: A Member of the Ferrari hospitality team gets stuck in the lift with the drivers who gave us the amazing moment of being stuck there, But shes not alone.
Pairing: Grid X Staff!reader
Warning; Panic attack, Single mother, claustrophobic,
Word Count: 2.3K
Tumblr media
Your day had already been as hectic as it could get,
First the sitter for your daughter, Lexi; called in sick, leaving you with no alternative, and taking your daughter to work on a race week was never a good idea. Her high energy and hyper personality were great, but not when it was busy and you had limited ways to keep an eye on her.
Her father had left when he found out about you being pregnant, but being the person you were, you refused to give up on your daughter. Which had been the best decision you had ever made in your life, despite your current predicament.
Big crowd.
High stress.
A Toddler. What could possible go wrong?
Lexi held tightly to your hand as you walked around, your other arm aching from the cases of water bottles you carried. You worked for the Ferrari Hospitality team, so basically spend most of your day running around to make sure people had access to food and water,
You were proud to work for them, and besides. Lexi's favourite color was red, and when asked she got rater upset when you suggesting moving to another team.
"Mummy, we go track now?"
"No baby, I need to work right now, but you can get my phone to watch later okay"
She loved to watch the races, which she usually did with the sitter, you had only about ten minute to get back down to the hospitality, which with a five year old and a hefty packet of wate bottles, would be a tight window.
Her tiny feet pattered against the floor as you turned down the hallway to the stairs, you halted, there was at least a couple flights of them and when you arm began to shake under the weight of the water you knew you were never going to get down them intime.
Gritting your teeth you turned in the other direction, towards the elevator. You had never really liked them, the tight fit of being inside one made you nervous.
But it was only going to be for a few minutes, and Lexi would probably distract you, you would be alright.
Trying your hardest to drag your daughter towards the lift, when you could see it fast approaching in the numbers above the door, you managed to press the button as it slowed to the floor you were currently on.
You quickly readjusted the packet in your arm, as Lexi began to sing lightly to a cartoon song, which you couldn't quite pick the name of.
The door slide open slightly and you can already feel the shake in your hands, making it more difficult for you to keep grip of the bottles.
When the doors open however, you were equally as shocked to spot what could have been half the starting grid inside the small vertically moving box.
Lexi went to skip inside, completely unfazed by the group of adult men all who craned their heads down to watch the singing girl,
You were quick to readjust the water once more, reaching for your daughter you almost dropped it,
"No lex, Let them go first we'll catch it next time"
There was a slight shuffle amongst the group as the driver in red spun to try and look at you over the shoulders of the others, probably recognising your voice,
Lexi wandered back to you as an accented voice spoke from the group, and several hands extended out to stop the door from shutting on your daughter.
"Please. We can move over, there's space" Carlos spoke quickly, you had met a couple of them before when handing bottles around the paddock on extremely hot days, and watching them on race replays with Lexi, you could easily recognise those with thicker accent.
You didn't know what made you think that getting into an already crowded elevator, after hating the boxes in the first place.
You took Lexi's hand and shuffled into the space the drivers made for you and your daughter. The water made it equally as awkward as you tried not to bump into any of them,
The silence that lapped over the elevator, allowed you to try and settle your thoughts, until the silence was interrupted by a soft voice, as she began singing once more, you were not the only one to cast you gaze down to Lexi as she stared at her own feet, head bopping away to the tune she mumbled, not really knowing the words.
There was a couple of giggles shared amongst the drivers, you felt your cheeks bloom in heat as Daniel caught your eyes as you awkwardly looked around for something to look at that wasn't one of the drivers,
"She adorable" he gestured to Lexi, who continued to sing along, her little hand now patting your thigh in an offbeat rhythm to her singing.
"Yeah she i—" your word got cut abruptly short as the elevator jerked to a sudden stop.
There was a moment where everyone inside took a second to realise what had just happened, and it was apparent, that yes. The elevator had in-fact. Stopped.
Not even a second passed before you could already feel the rising panic creep up your spine. Lexi finally took a second to look around, little eyes wide as she stared at the man beside her, Charles waved at your daughter, Lando follow his lead when Lexi began giggling.
But you couldn't focus on your daughter, you tried, but the air began to constrict in your chest.
You could briefly hear the noise of a recording button being pressed and the noise of the drivers muttering amongst themselves.
The camera was switched off and the men around you shuffled to get comfortable as they settled into waiting, one of them already had pressed the emergency help button by the door.
The walls felt like the were getting closer to you, and your grip on the bottle became slick, until you were fumbling to keep them against you. At last they slipped out and thumped against the floor of the elevator,
The metal box shook slightly and when the drivers on either side of you, reached down to help you pick them up, the boxed moved once more, the room around you shook, which only seemed to make the walls close in faster,
You couldn't help it anymore, emitting a small whimper, as tears began to streak down your cheeks.
The elevator fell silent as all the drivers took in the sounds as you began crying,
"She cries" Lexi said simply, as though it wasn't obvious to the men that you were doing so,
As your knee began to shake slightly when more panic sets in, You stumble but don fall as you feel a couple sets of hands grab your body, holding you up. There was not enough space to sit yourself down, which only made your breathing turn more ragged.
"Whats wrong?" George whispered from behind her, he sounded close enough to be one of the drivers currently holding her up, but with this metal tin can, they were all too close and that was the problem.
"She custrabobic" Lexi said, patting Pierre on the leg lightly,
The french driver pulled a face, and looked to the English speaking drivers for aid, not entirely understanding what exactly the small girl was attempting to tell him,
Lando cast a quick look at you, being closer to Lexi then George and Danny he leaned down slightly she peered up at him,
"What is she?" he asked trying to get the little girl to repeat herself,
"Custrabobic" Lexi spoke, happy with herself she smiled at Lando, her smile beaming as she looked around the elevator.
You rasped slightly, squeezing your eyes shut tighter, leaning into the closest body to your own, which ever driver it was wrapped his arms further around you, seeming to take the majority of your weight.
Lando nodded at your daughter before shooting a pleading look to George, who looked in thought over the toddlers words, as he watched you.
Lando moved aside as Romain squeezed past him, leaning down to grab one of the bottles you had previously been holding, twisting the cap open he passed to Valtteri who brought it in front of you.
You tried to reach for it, but as your hands shook, you let a frustrated sigh leave you, Lexi had somehow gotten to the other side of the elevator and in her haste to get back to her mum she crawled along the floor, Romain and Charles had to widen their stance as the little girl crawled under them giggle as she got closer to you.
She was too young to understand that you weren't exactly in the right state to answer her as she began to ask about the track once more.
"Claustrophobic!" Carlos yelled suddenly, hand raising in happiness as he somehow managed to puzzle out your daughters words, Lexi turned to the man now. She jumped in excitement, nodding wildly at him,
"Yea , yeh!" She flailed her little arms around, and when you whimpered softly at the movement, Carlos was quick to settle your child, distracting her with something on his phone.
The air was no longer getting into your lungs any more, despite the rattling of people outside the door, working to pry the elevator doors open.
With your eyes widening in panic you fumbled to grab the hand of the driver which still had you hugged into his chest, when the men shuffled around to let Charles past them, he knelt slightly at your front,
"You're Y/n, Right?", eyes scanning the familiar red crew uniform you wore.
He gently took the bottle from your grasp, looking back at George who held you in place against him.
The surroundings of your vison began to grow fuzzy and dark, blinking rapidly to try and clear it away, you could just see Charles as he realised just how unsettled the crowding had made you,
Unsure whether to touch you or not, he awkwardly held his hands around you, looking to the other drivers who all looked equally at a loss on what to do,
With your mind in a flurry, you couln't really pay much mind to what was going on around you, as the room spun, you squeezed both eyes shut tightly, despretly hoping to block out the feeling of a bubble around your body. Wrapping you up and squeezing the air from you.
Weakly you could feel the hands tighten on your body, holding you up, until you were passed into the hands of another, and finally sat onto the ground.
The ground was cooler beneath your palm when you placed them flat onto the surface,
"Y/n?"
The voice sounded like a speaker underwater, the words lost on you,
"Y/n?"
When the corners of your sight began to come back into focus, you could just see two bodies in front of you, One extended a bottle to you,
You took it gratefully, trying to still the shake that gripped you,
The two drivers, Charles and Pierre sat with you as they patiently waited for you to come back to reality. You watched on as a couple of the other drivers continued to watch your daughter,
She had been picked up by Daniel who bounced her on his hip, while Lando hid behind the Australian's shoulder, before 'jumping' out from behind him to scare Lexi.
Her giggle filled the air, people were milling about working to close of the elevator.
"Mummy" She squealed out loudly, as Daniel placed her back on the ground, she took off in your direction at a run, stumbling a little over her shoes, which fashioned Lightening McQueen on the side, with red flashing lights on their base.
She stopped to observe the drivers that still sat with you, taking in their faces now they were her head height,
"You drive big red" her happiness was palpable as she pointed to Charles's red shirt, her small hand pressing against the rearing horse at his chest.
"Why, Yes." he smiled lightly at her, chuckling softly,
It was then that you finally checked the time on your watch, you were at least five minutes late, pushing up off the ground quickly you reached for what bottles had been recollected,
"Hold on-"
"Wait a minute"
There was a couple more voices of protest from the drivers as you rose up, ignoring their stares you began to balance the bottles back in your arms,
"Lex, come on" You said quickly to your daughter,
"We go track now?"
"No baby, we can watch them later, say bye now"
Your daughter, whose bottom lip was now jutted out slightly turned to wave to the drivers, She got closer to your side, placing her little hand in yours,
There was a shuffle behind you as Charles quickly got up,
"We could watch her" he offered, You turned to meet his stare, "Take her down into the paddock, Let you make sure your okay, and I will bring her back around to the hospitality after."
Without even looking at Lexi, you could already feel her excited vibrating off her in waves. Charles wasn't the only one that looked on in hope,
You were still feeling a light fuzz in your head, and with how hot it was, perhaps having someone to watch your daughter for a while wasn't such a bad idea.
"We promise to return her in one piece" Daniel smiled softly at you, despite the amusement in his tone, perhaps in an attempt to persuade you.
Lexi tugged at your hand, you looked down, she was twirling and tapping her feet lightly, causing them to light up.
"Alright ..."
Lexi has already taken off before you could finish talking. Pierre, swiftly took off his hat and plopped it onto your daughter's head. The two of them speaking in whispered voices.
You turn your stare to Charles. " Please if anything happens come find me"
He nodded quickly before turning to take Lexi's hand.
Even as they walked away you could hear the excited giggles from the grown men as your daughter told them all she knew about formula 1 and how one day she was going to be just like them.
You didn't doubt it, and as you turn to move across towards the Ferrari Hospitality, now two hands clutching the bottles, you couldn't help but be thankful for the time free to settle your nerves.
Even if your daughter's babysitter was a bunch of men who enjoyed driving really fast.

hellooooo I just recently stumbled to your mafia series and I just can't help but ask what if reader was kidnapped and was held as a ransom for Mafia!Price?
Feel free to ignore this!
i wanted to write something big and one shotty for this but alas, the inspiration just doesn't want to come to me so i hope a drabble is okay <3
needless to say, Price is furious. of course he's upset at the syndicate that took you, but he's mostly angry at himself. he's your husband, he's supposed to protect you, and yet all he has is this small piece of paper with your name on it and the cost to get you back.
the thought of someone laying their hands on you, binding your limbs or gagging you to transport you into some shady, rundown building, makes his blood boil more fiercely than anything else in his life ever has. the very moment he realizes you're gone is the moment he gets to work on bringing you back. he drags Simon with him all throughout the city, searching for clues and hideouts while he orders Soap and Gaz to do some technical sleuthing. there is not a single one of his men who aren't working 24/7 to get you back.
of course he could always pay the ransom. he's got the money, and there isn't a single cost in the world he wouldn't pay up to keep you safe and healthy, but Price knows better than that. he can funnel all his money towards the prize, but that doesn't mean he'll get you back. no, there's only one reliable way to handle this, and it's violence with impeccable timing.
the moment Soap tracks down the bastards who took you, Price nearly kisses the man and wastes no time devising a plan to get you back. it has to be perfect as there's no room for mistakes, but he can't afford to waste anymore time than he already has in getting you back home.
by the time he finds you, the blood of your captors stains his clothes so thickly it's like the only color he had ever known was red. despite how long you were gone you were in relatively good shape considering everything. however, the dark marks around your wrists from your bindings make him wish he had killed your captors even slower.
he's too scared to touch you when he approaches you. he doesn't want to cause you any more harm than has already been given to you, and he would hate to soil you with the disgusting, coagulated blood that clung to his clothes. however, the moment he cuts the bindings from your wrists, your sobs echo off the small room as your arms wrap around his neck. relieved to finally have you in his arms again, he nearly all but carries you out of that damn building.
when he gets you home, he hardly lets you out of his sight after that. constantly doting on you, refusing to let you do any physical work. he cooks for you, does all the chores, everything. you are his wife. the single greatest thing to have ever happened to him. he refuses to let anyone take you away from him again.

Y/N transfers to the prestigious "Nevermore" academy and becomes entangled in an eccentric and mysterious world. In her dorm, she shares spaces with Enid Sinclair and Wednesday Addams, both possessing intense personalities. Navigating complex dynamics, y/n delves into unique relationships and secrets, exploring the dark side of the academy.
Part 1
I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh.
I had just arrived at the Nevermore academy for less than five minutes, and I was already stressed from the never-ending talk of the director. Yes, the academy is prestigious and blah, blah, blah.
"Usually, we don't admit mid-year students... but her grades are excellent" Principal Weems says as she walks down the corridor, the sound of heels echoing. "All right, Miss... we don't have any more rooms... so you'll have to share with someone," she said with a slight smile.
"Yeah... okay," I replied with boredom.
I tried not to look back out of annoyance and just returned the smile. The blonde took two steps toward a wooden door and opened it for me.
"Welcome to the Ophelia Room... if you need me... you know where to find me," Director Weems gave my shoulder a squeeze and turned away, walking off.
A confusion of colors assaulted my eyes as a perfectly divided room greeted me. One side was terribly black and macabre, while the other was a riot of colors.
I suppressed the urge to vomit.
In the middle of the room, two girls were in the midst of a quarrel.
"Turn off this horrible music; it's time for my writing," said the shorter girl, looking at the blonde in front of her with inquisitive eyes.
She wore a gray-black uniform, much like the rest of the room. Her hair was neatly tied in two perfectly aligned braids that gracefully fell over her shoulders. Her skin was very pale, almost as if she were dead. As far as I could see, her lips were tightly pressed.
She showed no emotion.
The other was notably taller, with a blue-black uniform and blonde hair with shades of two different colors. She literally bared her nails in defense.
"This kitty has claws and is not afraid to use them," the blonde said with a challenging finger.
"Turn off this thing," the dark-haired girl repeated.
"I do what I want; after all, Taylor Swift is much better than the cello solo you play every night," she replied venomously.
I decided to intervene.
"I disagree," I said, placing my suitcases on the floor.
Both turned toward me. Brown eyes met mine, and a faint smile spread across her lips, immediately replaced by a darker look. Blue eyes lit up upon seeing me, and a smile spread across her lips.
"I hate Taylor Swift," I confessed, and the shorter one looked at the girl with disdain. The blonde snorted and turned off the music.
"However, I'm y/n," I added, approaching and shaking hands with the blonde.
"Enid Sinclair," she replied.
I glanced at the dark-haired girl who had turned her back to me, walking towards her desk.
"Sorry," I whispered to Enid and broke the contact between our hands, walking towards the center of her roommate. I put a foot outside the line, and a creak made the girl freeze.
"Stop, if you want to live," she said with a cold voice, putting a hand on the chair.
"Don't listen to her; she's always..." Enid began, but I didn't let her finish. "And what if I don't want to?" I asked.
I walked and approached her even more. Suddenly, she turned towards me, looking at me seriously.
"Y/N," I repeated, and she continued to look at me without blinking. I dangerously approached her, and she looked at me without moving a muscle.
"Things, I think we should bury her sooner than expected," Enid said with concern.
Our faces were very close, and I gave her a faint smile. She looked at me curiously, surprisingly turning her gaze away with her cheeks reddened.
"Wednesday Addams, now if you don't mind, step aside from my path," she whispered softly, authoritatively. She turned completely towards the desk and sat down, starting to manipulate the typewriter.
"Incredible," I whispered with a triumphant smile.
"I can't believe she didn't kill you for invading not only her room but also her personal space," the blonde said in amazement.
"Don't get your hopes up, Enid. I just wanted to be... kind," Wednesday said, almost disgusted by the last word. "Now shut up before I start thinking about taking away your privilege to speak," she said casually, focused on the paper in front of her.
"She's back," Enid laughed.
"Y/N, do you want to take a look around the school?" Enid suggested.
"I've seen enough... but okay," I smiled and approached the blonde. "I want to avoid getting killed... especially because I'll have to share a bed with Wednesday," I said hastily, almost running.
Enid laughed, and Wednesday froze in place, surprised by my words.
...
"Your friends are really... peculiar," I said with a half-smile.
Enid and I walked through the halls of Nevermore. The blonde had introduced me to her circle of friends, and we explored the school's gardens. I had a nice afternoon, but it was getting late, and it was time to return to my room.
"They're just idiots" Enid replied, gesturing. "Ajax, huh?"I asked with malice, raising my eyebrows, aware of Enid's infatuation with this guy.
"Shut up"she mumbled weakly, blushing. The blonde quickened her pace and entered the room, trying to dodge my questions.
I laughed and followed her.
"Come on... tell me"  I murmured with a 5-year-old's voice. "Tell you what?" Wednesday suddenly intervened. I turned to the right side of the room and smiled when I saw the image of little Addams.
"Addyyy, you finished writing, I see" I said with a finger of happiness.
The mentioned one furrowed her brow in confusion.
"Addy?" she repeated.
"A nickname... don't you like it?"I asked curiously, tilting my head to the side. "I hate it" she said coldly, looking at me without blinking. "Now tell me what you wanted to know about Enid" she repeated, crossing her arms over her chest.
"It doesn't matter, Wednesday, it's our business" The Blonde intervened, sliding under the sheets. She yawned slightly.
Look, she's already in pajamas.
Wednesday didn't say anything and just approached her bed and sat on it.
"y/n/n, do you want to sleep here?" Enid proposed, leaning on the bed, looking at me with tired eyes.
"She doesn't need it; she'll sleep with me" Addams replied absentmindedly as she slid under the sheets. "You heard the boss"  I joked as I walked towards the suitcase that had been moved next to the bed. I took off my shirt and pants.
"What... what are you doing?" Wednesday asked timidly. I took the shirt out of the suitcase and looked at Addams. Her eyes roamed my body, stopping for a few seconds on my stomach.
"Am I putting on pajamas?" I responded with obviousness. She blinked and looked at me again. "Okay" she responded coldly, but her flushed cheeks made me smile slightly at the cuteness.
I put on the pajamas and lay down next to Addams; there was a noticeable space between our bodies.
"Goodnight Wednesday, night y/n" Enid said, turning off the light.
"Don't call me Addy if you want to keep all your fingers in place" Wednesday replied before turning around and giving me her back.
"Goodnight to you too..." I mumbled to myself.
◇◇◇
A slight squeeze on my side made me open my eyes; darkness surrounded the room, and an unsettling silence reigned between the walls of the academy.
I slowly looked down, and inevitably, a smile appeared on my face. In front of me was the image of Wednesday hugging me, and it was damn adorable. Addams' arms were around my stomach; her head rested against my chest, and sighs escaped her lips, making me tremble slightly.
If I move and wake her up... she'll probably kill me
I stayed still in my place and closed my eyes again, relaxing in the arms of little Addams.
◇◇◇
My body collapsed against something hard and cold; an unpleasant pain pricked my back, and my breath got stuck in my throat for a few milliseconds. "But what..." I'm dragging the words, opening my mouth, trying to get as much oxygen as possible. My eyes moved to the figure of Addams looking at me slightly amused from the edge of the bed.
"Addams" I muttered between teeth, looking at the responsible with anger. I closed my eyes and started to breathe slowly, trying to calm down and avoid causing a kinetic storm. "Why did you throw me off the bed?" I asked slowly, rubbing my elbow to alleviate the pain.
"You hugged me tonight; you're lucky I pushed you instead of inflicting excruciating pain" she said coldly, getting up from the bed.
"I didn't hug you! It was you who did it" I said as I got up from the floor. "No" she simply replied, looking at me without blinking.
"Apparently, you were the one who needed some affection"  I responded, pointing with my finger at the uniform leaning on the chair, making it levitate in my direction.
"I don't need affection; I hate physical contact and all of humanity... and especially, I don't need you" she affirmed and headed to the desk.
"Shut up, Things.." the raven-haired girl whispered as she grabbed her jacket.
"Enid?" I asked, looking to the left side of the room, searching for the girl's wolf mane.
"She already left" Wednesday said, grabbing her backpack.
"Perfect" I replied, heading to the bathroom, getting ready for class.
(...)
"Can you believe that Addams threw me off the bed this morning?" I asked Xavier.
The artist smiled mockingly as he tapped the desk with the pen.
We were in the greenhouse attending a lesson from Professor Thornill, and for the occasion, I decided to sit next to Xavier since I was still angry with Wednesday and had no intention of talking to her at least for today... Besides, she didn't seem interested in talking to me. I looked at Addy's profile... coal eyes focused on her notes; I shook my head disconsolately.
"Actually, it doesn't surprise me... but I'm surprised she didn't take out any organs or cut off a finger" he smiled as he concentrated on writing something on paper.
I looked at my notes, and I hadn't written anything at all..."Damn it..." I whispered, resting my head on my hand.
"What's wrong?" Wednesday turned around and looked in my direction. Her eyes met mine with indifference.
"I didn't write anything..." I affirmed sadly.
"This is because you've limited yourself to talking all the time" she replied monotonously, looking at my completely blank sheet.
" Don't tell me..."  I whispered mockingly; in response, Wednesday rolled her eyes. She turned again, giving me her back.
"Well, guys... the lesson is over... you can go" Thornill said in a high-pitched voice, smiling at her students.
I got up from the chair, took the bag, but perfectly aligned sheets in the corner of my desk made me freeze in place. I looked up and saw Wednesday Addams watching me.
"These are..." I took the notes from the bench, and inevitably, I smiled at the perfectly ordered and impeccable handwriting.
"Don't get your hopes up... you were just pathetic with that dejected look" she replied coldly.
Her words didn't hurt me for a second; I found Wednesday's gesture damn adorable. The girl turned her gaze annoyed and walked quickly towards the exit of the greenhouse; seeing her smile had caused me a strange and annoying sensation in the pit of my stomach.
As if spiders were spinning webs inside.

Moments With You (Pt.1)
(Bada Lee x Fem!Reader)
Warning: NSFW
Tumblr media
MOMENT 1
It's past midnight already but you're still working on a specific report on your laptop. You heard Bada getting up at your shared bed and hugging you from behind.
"When will you finish? It's already morning." Bada said, eyeing the report you're making.
"I'm almost done Sweetface. Go to sleep, you have class tomorrow." You replied, caressing her hair for a short period of time and went back to typing again. Bada whispered at the loss of warmth. She slammed your laptop making you glare at her.
"Do you know how expensive Macbook is these days— Hey!" You yelped when Bada picked you up in bridal style.
"Hey woman! I need to finish that report!" Bada put you down on the bed and covered your figures with a duvet.
"Young lady, it's already 3 in the morning. I don't take 'no' for an answer." She cuddled you on her chest and closed her eyes. You huffed in response.
"Jerk." You whispered.
"I heard that." Bada said, tightening her grip around you.
MOMENT 2
You have a day off and decided to use it today. You're watching episode 5 of Street Woman Fighter 2 at yours and Bada's shared penthouse. You're at the part where the other crews choose BEBE as the most likely to get eliminated. You don't hate the other crews, you understand that it's a competition and they need to be fair when it comes to choosing. You hear your phone rang and you already know who it is.
"Did you watch episode 5? I heard it already got aired." Bada asked but you know she's dissapointed at herself deep inside.
"Want me to cook you your favorite meal?" You asked. You can hear silent sniffs but you stay silent.
"Yes...yes please. I also want hugs and kisses" Bada whispered.
"Alright alright, drive safe." You hung up the phone and went to the kitchen to prepare the ingredients.
Hours later, you heard the door open. Bada is home. You heard footsteps approaching your figure and two arms wrapping around your waist.
"Sorry I took too long, the traffic is worse today." Bada murmured against your neck, putting a couple of pecks there.
"It's alright." There's a minute of silence until you decide to speak again.
"Are you alright now?" You asked.
"When I was at the set? No. But now that I'm home, I'm feeling much better." You smiled at her response.
"That's good to hear." You replied, caressing her cheek.
"You are what you are. Don't let others opinions define you." You whispered, kissing her under her left eye.
MOMENT 3
"No." You said sitting with your arms crossed, staring at Bada with a stern face. Bada looked at you with her puppy(wolf) eyes.
"Please? I saw it at the store and immediately thought of you." You looked at the dress again and then at Bada. It's a wine-colored satin dress with a slit on the right side.
"I thought you don't like me wearing dresses?" You asked.
"I love seeing you in dresses Bae, I just don't like the boys staring at you. However, it's just me that will get to see you in this dress so I have no problem." You sighed. You took the dress and went to your shared bedroom to change.
You went out of your bedroom and saw Bada sitting on the coach, patiently waiting. When she heard heels clicking, which she also bought for you, she looked up and paused for a while.
"You okay there, Sweetface?" You asked. Bada motioned you to come closer to her and wrap her arms around your waist.
"You're breathtaking." She whispered, putting her chin on your tummy and looked up at you.
"You say that to me everyday." You chuckled, caressing her hair.
"It's true." She replied, pulling your arms towards her, making you strangle on her lap.
Bada leaned in and kissed you with so much affection with her arms wrapped around you. She began to kiss your neck to your collarbone making you hitch your breath.
"I'm not done yet." Bada said, unbuttoning her polo.
She lays you down on the couch and removes your heels while staring at you with a smirk. She hovered above you and began to kiss you again.
MOMENT 4
You woke up in the middle of the night, no longer feeling Bada's arms around you. You looked towards the window and saw Bada standing there with a robe on, admiring the silent city beneath your penthouse. You grab the duvet and wrap it around your body. You approach her and hug her from behind.
"It's late, why are you still up?" You asked.
"Just woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep anymore." Bada responded. She put her arm around your shoulders and both of you admired your surroundings.
"I'm so lucky to have you." Bada said, looking at you with so much love.
"Same as I." You smiled and put your head on her chest.
"What if I didn't get to meet you?" Bada stared down at you, waiting for your answer.
"Maybe you and Howl will be the one dating instead of me." You joked but Bada took it seriously.
"Bae, Howl knows that I'm into girls. And no one ever caught my attention at one glance except for you." You rolled your eyes at her statement.
"Since when did you become so cheesy." You replied, tickling her sides.
"Only for you Bae— Stop that tickles!"
MOMENT 5
"Looking pretty, Sweetface." You said, filming Bada while she's getting her makeup done. You visited Bada during the filming of 'Smoke' for the Class Mission.
"Stop it, we're in public." You laughed at Bada's blushing face. The makeup artist also joining in.
"I saw the other leaders makeup, they look so creepy." You jokingly said, making Bada laugh.
"Is it really?" You nodded.
Bada stood up and went to the rack where the clothes is hanged. She grab two outfits and stood in front of you.
"This or this?" You analyze the outfit carefully.
"This outfit and use this bandana." You answered. Bada nodded and went to change. Couple of minutes later, Bada went out with her outfit. You approached her while smiling in satisfaction, fixing the bandana on her head.
"You look handsomely stunning." Bada chuckled and pecked your lips when the makeup artist is not looking.
"You can go outside to check the filming or rest there at the couch." Bada reminded you as she opened the door. She paused for a while and turned to you.
"I love you." She immediately closed the door leaving you chuckling.

Hello, could I request Alastor romantic relationship headcanons with a female half angel/half human reader? Please and thank you.
Tumblr media
My Devotion
Alastor x Half Angel!Reader (headcanons) TW: None? join my discord!
◈ ═════════ ◈ ══════════ ◈ ══════════ ◈
it took this man quite a while to warm up to you to even be friends, honestly
while Alastor had many enemies, angels were a totally different type of enemy to him
even if you were only partially an angel
when he was summoned to the living plane because of some foolish mortal getting a little too bold at a drinking party...
something was tugging at him
like a force needing him to go somewhere. urgently.
so, naturally, he followed
he couldn't really explain, even to himself, what was telling him to go
maybe his knack for finding and causing himself entertainment and mischief?
curious he was, then, when he approached a seemingly ordinary human, relaxed against a tree in a shaded, grassy spot some ways from the typical path
you noticed him before he had a chance to decide whether or not to announce himself
surprisingly you didn't seem off put by his incredibly demonic appearance
you even seemed to have an expression of recognition?
interested was probably the better word
there was something off about you
maybe it was that higher-than-life aura that seemed to radiate from you
or the way light seemed to reflect off of you brighter than natural
you closed the gap between the two of you first, hands on hips and eyeing him up and down
"i didnt know your kind was allowed up here"
"things happen" why did you seem so normal about seeing a demon?
"i would know" you had laughed in response. which he found odd
you were, simply put, odd
you intrigued him terribly, and he found himself returning to the same spot quite often to see you
since getting summoned to Earth, it just so happened that it enabled him to travel back and forth between it and Hell, though it was exhausting
color him surprised when he arrived one day to find you massaging a pair of angelic wings
they were small compared to the standard angel, and you only sported one pair, but he knew right away what you were when he saw them
there was a brief period of time after this that he stopped showing up. and honestly? you couldn't blame him
he was a sinner. a demon. and you were an angel (half, but still)
but the odd tugging at his heart, and some foreign sense of longing, drug him back to see you again
"i guess you would know," he said after sneaking up on you. you were reading some novel
he berated himself for not noticing earlier. the way your skin, your hair, your eyes... all seemed to just glow with a heavenly sheen
honestly he chalked it up to the lighting
he didn't trust you now. not one bit. but he still came
you seemed genuinely surprised to see him again, and he hated how bright your smile seemed
once your meetings fell back into a regular rhythm, alastor strangely found himself looking forward to seeing you
you probably fell for him first. and suffered for quite some time, yearning for his affection
you were just as confused as he was towards the emotions you both unknowingly shared
alastor eventually started bringing you tokens of affection. small, but noticeably thoughtful things, like a bud of your favorite flower or some interesting food he brought from Hell
you were always curious to try things from there
you knew your wings would probably be torn from your back if any of the higher powers found out you were being courted by an overlord of all things
alastor knew this too
this didn't stop either of you
"my devotion to you is breaking the rules of reality" alastor proclaimed to you, after months and months of a slowly building relationship
and you knew he was devoted. like, he would never admit it, but he practically began worshipping you
considering he had never felt emotions like this before, it seems only natural for him to become obsessed with the one that makes him feel so strongly
he became more comfortable with seeing your wings over time, though there was still this sick feeling that plagued his stomach whenever he was near. probably just a natural demonic instinct to feel when near a holy being
he enjoys lightly petting the feathers, picking out anything that may have gotten caught in the intricate formation of your wings
alastor battles daily with himself, cursing himself for putting your entire being in danger, but also being selfish enough to continue seeing you
oh, how he wanted to corrupt you
to see those beautiful white wings of yours drip red

Sunflower
Tumblr media
Pairing: Simon Ghost Riley x Reader
Summary: Daisy is bored
a/n: I hope you all will like this, and hopefully, it's okay for me to name his daughter Daisy. You all can just imagine a different name if you shouldn't like it
Tumblr media
Simon was lying on the floor with his arm stretched out. Five markers were spread out on the floor as Daisy scribbled and colored in his tattoos "Having fun?".
You had gone out to meet your friends, leaving your husband and Daisy alone at home. Daisy is your and Simon's two-year-old daughter. Since you don't usually leave them alone, Simon had to come up with a plan that ended up with Daisy drawing and colouring his tattoos.
He had his tattoos covered with various colours and drawings. He had his eyes closed, hoping that Daisy would move on to something else. However, when he heard her footsteps moving away from him, he opened his eyes to see her approaching him again with more markers.
The markers were in all kinds of colours. Daisy sat on the floor next to her dad's laying figure as she coloured more of his tattoos.
”Daisy, come on-“ he protested half-heartedly. "Dont you have paper to draw on?”.
Simon was about to grab the markers and put them out of Daisy's reach when she drew another line on the side of his bare neck, giggling to herself. He sighed and closed his eyes again.
In fact, Simon loved it when his daughter enjoyed herself. And even though it would be a pain to remove all the drawings, he let Daisy continue doodling and drawing on his body.
Daisy then drew a flower on her dad's hand. He opened his eyes and looked down at his hand, then back up at Daisy, "Is that a sunflower?" he asked softly. Simon was really proud of her. His smile turned into a playful grin once she nodded. He turned his head and kissed Daisy's cheek, "Well done, Princess."
Since Daisy had already had her fun drawing on him, Simon took one of the markers and attempted to draw a tiny heart on his two-year-old daughter's hand, which looked a bit squiggly, but was still recognizable enough to call it a heart.
Daisy squealed with delight and kissed the squiggly heart on the back of her hand. It was a small thing, but it meant the world to her. As she did so, Simon drew a few more marks on her arm.
"You want more marks? You little artist," he smiled at her as her laughter filled the room again. It seemed that Simon had forgotten his actual intention of getting Daisy to stop doodling on him.
Tumblr media
"I'm home," you called as you walked into the living room.
As you looked towards the couch, you saw your husband and Daisy sitting on the floor. Both of their bodies were covered in drawings, both of them looking hilarious. Even their faces were full of doodles.
While you were giggling at them, you suddenly saw Simon secretly handing a marker to Daisy, indicating for her to run over to you and draw on your body as well. "Don't you dare," you said.
Simon pretended not to know what you were talking about, he even put the cap back on the marker he had just given to Daisy. Daisy giggled her head off and started to make her way over to you. You saw her other marker in her hand, and she was ready to draw a few squiggles on your body.
Hours later, you were all sitting on the floor together, your bodies covered in scribbles as you glared at your husband for giving Daisy the idea to draw on you.
Simon gave you a devious smirk as he stared at his masterpiece. You weren't angry, but you felt pretty silly with the bunch of random drawings all over your skin. Daisy was just as bad off as you, with multiple drawings all over her body.
"It's all your fault. I hate you," you told him, not at all serious with your statement, as Daisy was still drawing on your arm.
He pulled Daisy off your arm and kissed the top of her head as he chuckled. "Whatever you say, love," he turned to you and playfully nudged your arm, looking rather proud of himself. In fact, he was absolutely beaming.
Tumblr media
"Hey Lt, since when do you have a sunflower on your hand tattooed?" Soap asked him as he looked at the back of his Lieutenant's hand.
Not at all, knowing that it was actually Daisy's doodle of a sunflower that Simon got tattooed a week later.

Can you do what happens when the reader chooses one of the brothers in two separate parts?
Summary: After the Sae & Rin fight for your love, you finally choose one of them // They confess
Notes: Part 2 of these headcanons. This can be read on its own though!
Tumblr media
♡ You chose... Itoshi Rin!
Tumblr media
• You texted Sae that you couldn't come and that he should tell you the important thing at a later time
• He read your message with a clenched jaw, already knowing he lost you to his little brother. In a voice thick with anger he spit out "Ugh, you make me fucking vomit! Lukewarm piece of trash..."
• There were no people around in the park. The only one you saw was Rin sitting crosslegged on a bench. He was staring at the luminous lake in front of him, entranced by the way the water reflected the moonlight
• You sat down next to him and uttered a silent greeting to which he nodded. The silence was comfortable and like Rin, you also focused on the scenery in front of you
• "Seeing the huge masses of water; observing how the waves move in the wind calms me down for some reason. A lake doesn't have the same effect as the sea, but it will do."
• Slightly confused, you glanced up at him and his eyes were still on the water. The dark teal color of his irises shined as beautifully as the water in front of you
• Rin made a sour face. "At first, I only approached you to make my brother angry because I saw how he looked at you. I wanted to take you away from him and make him feel the despair I felt when he left me. You were only a tool to use for me..."
• You already had an inkling. It was weird that Rin approached you so openly when he usually hated the contact with other people. You concluded that he must have had an ulterior motive
• "But the more time I spent with you, the more my resolution crumbled. I got to know the real you and... Shit, I fell in love with you." He turned his body towards you and looked into your eyes. "The more I learn about you, the deeper I fall into that... hole." His irises fell to the ground, "I- I really don't give a shit about other people, but I do care about you."
• Sensing that his short outburst of emotions was over, you punched him on his stomach and he let out a painful grunt. "Okay, first things first, you were such a jerk!"
• Then you hugged him tightly. "Thank you for finally telling me the truth though." Rin reluctantly wrapped his arms around you as he sighed in relief
• "You're lucky you're a lovable idiot, I like you too, Rin." You squeezed him tighter, "Now there's no reason to fight with Sae anymore. This isn't about your fight with him anymore, this is about us."
• Rin snuggled his face into your neck and closed his eyes. You felt his smile against your skin. "Yeah. I'll only focus on you."
♡ You chose... Itoshi Sae!
Tumblr media
• When Rin read your swiftly written message that you couldn't meet up with him, he sighed, before hitting the bench behind him in pure, undiluted rage. "Piece of shit of a brother...! I'll find a way to break you, just you wait."
• Face partly hidden in your jacket, you walked into the hotel acting like someone who had a room there, to avoid getting the paparazzi in front of the building suspicious of you. In front of Sae's room you inserted the PIN code he sent you earlier
• Hearing the front door open, Sae jumped up from his bed to greet you. "You're finally here, 'twas about time.", he grumbled.
• "That's how you're greeting me? I literally ran here, Sae.", you replied sarcastically as you threw yourself onto the couch and rolled your eyes
• You could tell that Sae was nervous about something, which was a first. He wiped his sweaty hands on his pants and took a deep breath to calm his racing heart.
• "So, what did you want to tell me?" You decided to get straight to business, for which Sae thanked you internally. He came over to sit on the coffee table in front of you, his eyes never leaving yours.
• "Did I ever tell you that I regret not asking for your number in that cafe in Spain?" You shook your head and he continued after clearing his throat. "I regretted it. For years. And I still regret it now because I lost so much time that I could have spent with you."
• Sae offered you his hand and you slowly placed your hand on top of his palm. He squeezed it gently as he rubbed his thumb over the ring he gifted you
• "I can't lose you a second time because... I like you a lot. And it seems like Rin likes you too. So here I am confessing to you before that twig steals your heart."
• It took you a second to completely soak up his words. Sae Itoshi, the number one football player in Japan, your crush for so many years likes you? You broke into a joyous smile.
• "How could Rin have stolen my heart if it was already yours to begin with, dummy?" Sae's eyes widened a bit in surprise before they softened
• Hands caressing your cheeks, he leaned in until your lips met in a sweet kiss. He felt like this was the only way right now to convey the huge relief he felt to you
• "Thank you for choosing me. I promise you won't regret it."

Fires of Passion, Ashes of Hate I
Tumblr media
next part
Summary: Lovers (mentioned) to enemies and “I didn’t know where else to go.” all in one 3.2k words fic.
Warnings: Hate (?), mentions of near death (kinda), curses, blood, and injuries.
Note: I actually really like this. Kaz’s thoughts are in italics. Part two will be y/n’s pov and three is going back to kaz’s. Enjoy and let me know what you think! <3
* ੈ✩‧₊˚
It was amusing, in a twisted way. Kaz and Y/N had loved each other intensely, to the point of pain. The love had hurt so deeply that they had to break apart, and with that much love bottled up, anger began. Hatred followed suit.
They hated each other. So much that it pained them, for they had once known each other. Once, they had shared laughter. Once, their love had been so intense that it twisted into hatred.
Hate born from love. How cruel.
In certain aspects, they were undeniably alike. The way they thought, fought, manipulated, and even shared laughter echoed each other—a symmetry they once found endearing.
They cherished locking eyes, finding solace in the reflection of qualities that mirrored each other, even if not in the physical sense.
They had once adored the similarity, but now they detested it. Every move, every thought, every word in their conflicts felt predictable, like battling an unyielding mirror. The annoyance grew as they found themselves entangled in a struggle against the very likeness they had once celebrated.
Kaz had been seated at his desk for what he felt was an extended period, and that, in itself, spoke volumes.
Despite the persistent urge to infiltrate Lehos' house, his thoughts incessantly circled back to her, and he hated it.
He found himself pondering how she would approach it—her plan, the route she would choose, and the exit strategy she might employ. It was exhausting and he knew that if he didn’t devise a plan soon, she would inevitably outsmart him.
His thoughts, however, were abruptly interrupted by a sudden, or rather, a terrible attempt at knocking on his door, capturing his attention.
Quickly glancing at his pocket watch, he realized that by this time, his crows would all be fast asleep. It made the hairs on the back of his neck stand. A chill going down his spine.
With no apparent reason for a knock at this hour, he braced himself for a potential confrontation.
He held his breath for a second, then two. With no one bursting through the door, he took a deliberate step forward, his hand gravitating towards the doorknob.
The color drained from his face as swiftly as he yanked the door open. The sight before his eyes was too dreadful to fathom.
"I didn't know where else to go."
With that, she fell forward, her full body weight crashing against his chest and propelling him back two steps.
His eyes swiftly scanned his surroundings, darting from the blood covering the outside of his door, where she had leaned, to the pool of it where she had once been standing.
“Y/n?”
That was it. She was dead. They finally got her. Those were the only words echoing in his mind as he clung to her lifeless form, glancing down to see his hands and vest now tainted with the same crimson hue that stained his door.
And then, he heard a faint hum. Weak, but enough for him to recognize it as coming from the girl, confirming he hadn't hallucinated it. "Y/n!" But the hum was the last sound he heard from her before he felt her body sliding down from his arms, slipping from where they had once been standing.
With all the strength he could muster in their awkward position, he pulled. He pulled and pulled until he reached his bed, pushing her over so she was now lying down on it.
“Saints.”
He stood there, torn between conflicting impulses. A part of him urged to lift her and cast her out of his room—she had no business being there, and he had no obligation to assist her. Yet, another part hesitated, acknowledging she hadn't known where else to go.
That realization alone prompted him to help her. He could envision the difficulty she must have faced to come all the way here. Moreover, he understood the gravity of her situation for her to seek help specifically from him.
“I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.”
Were the constant words his mouth kept repeating as he tore clothes off, exposing whatever wounds he could see through the blood.
Her blood that had now painted almost the entirety of his room red.
A soft "I know," slipped through her parted lips, the words resonating and sending shivers through the entirety of his body. "I know."
His heart burned, as intensely as it did when the hate began. The flames of their love had been an inferno, reducing everything to ash.
Ash that had filled their lungs, the very lungs that were once the sanctuary for the breathy laughs they had once shared.
But he couldn't let her die, not like this. If her time came, it would be by his hand, not someone else's.
He alone possessed the authority to extract this overwhelming amount of blood from her. The exclusive right to make her suffer and beg belonged to him.
Beg for what? Forgiveness, perhaps. But what was he supposed to forgive her for—loving him? For making him love her?
He presumed that when the moment arrived, clarity would come. For now, he had to concentrate on the hate coursing through him. The hate that, if wielded wisely, could prolong her existence until the time he could exact his own form of destruction.
“Saints. I really do detest you, love.”
It was the only explanation. He had long ago extinguished the flames of the love they once shared, carefully dusting off the ash from his heart, and decisively leaving her behind.
Each day, she haunted his thoughts, transforming into a relentless fire, hell-bent on destroying his heart.
He moved with urgency, his leg protesting in pain. From her side to the bathroom, he returned with hands laden with bandages. Swiftly turning back, he grabbed a bucket, filled it with water, and returned with it in one hand, a cloth in the other, and a sewing kit clutched between his teeth.
His hands trembled uncontrollably. It was so absurd to witness his own hands shake that a humorless laugh escaped his lips as he shook his head in disbelief.
The room reeked of desperation and the unmistakable scent of iron, and it made him nervous. Nervous enough to prompt him to pull his gloves off, hoping for a better grip on the sewing kit.
He let out a frustrated grunt. Somehow, the damn kit refused to open, as if the crystal lid had been sealed shut with invisible glue.
With time slipping through his fingers like sand in the wind, he covered his eyes, turned his face away, and then, with frustration, raised his arm. Swiftly moving down, he forcefully smashed the kit into the ground, letting it shatter into pieces.
He quickly dropped to his knees, his shaky hand fumbling around in search of the needles. "Fuck," he muttered as a shock of pain ran through his palm. He had found a needle.
Grabbing the thread that had slipped under his bed, he rose as swiftly as his bad leg allowed, promptly placing the needle between his teeth, and tucking the thread into his pocket.
As he took the damp cloth, his gaze lingered on her face. Her eyes moved back and forth behind close lids, and he found himself wondering if she was lost in a dream.
Perhaps, in her dreams, she wandered back to him. Maybe it was a recollection of their laughter reverberating through a moonlit alley, back when times were simpler. When the city’s shadows seemed less ominous, and their love had yet to transmute into hatred.
He only fully returned to his senses when he felt the crimson wetness clinging to his hand.
Each swipe across her wounded body intensified the sensation—the stickiness, the warmth, the almost magnetic pull of her life force seeping into the fibers. It was as if the blood itself whispered secrets of their past, demanding acknowledgment.
He wanted- no, he needed to know, “Why here? Of all places, why did you come here?”
His voice, through gritted teeth that still clung to the needle, was almost as harsh as his scrubbing on her skin. He wasn’t being gentle—she didn’t deserve it. “Answer me!”
Only silence followed, fueling the hate in his heart.
He scrubbed harder, longing for a moment when she might wake up and respond to the questions haunting his mind. Yet, she remained unresponsive. Even in the face of death, she found a way to infuriate him.
Once he had cleaned as much blood as he could, he retrieved the thread from his pocket and took the needle from between his teeth.
Despite his shaky hands, he deftly threaded the needle. After all, he was the barrel's finest lock-picker.
That was something he prided himself on—an ability that, despite his attempts to teach Y/n, she never excelled at.
He took a deep breath and moved forward, his hands approaching the nasty cut just below her ribs.
As much as he craved answers, he was somehow relieved when he glanced up and found Y/n's eyes still glued shut. Just as she had never learned how to quickly pick a lock, he had never learned how to painlessly sew a wound shut. It was going to hurt.
But that was inconsequential to him. He believed she deserved the anguish, and he would have welcomed the sound of her screams.
Yet, he wouldn’t have relished the teasing likely to replace the cries of pain, highlighting how inept he was at this.
In what felt like an eternity, mere minutes passed before he wrapped the gauze he had fetched from the bathroom around -what seemed like- her entire body. Successfully covering every wound he could see.
Having done his part, whether she woke up or not was now in her hands. However, he hoped it would be soon. After all, he was going to need his bed back at some point.
As he waited, his gaze delicately traced her face, pausing at her chapped lips. He once had wondered what they might taste like—whether they would carry the same flavor as the fragrance he associated with her; cherries.
And, at some point during this ordeal, he had found himself hoping her heart would cease to beat.
He hoped that, in some twisted way, this would serve as a justification for his mind to release him from the haunting grip of his past. That it would allow his body to break free and lead him to press his lips to hers in a desperate attempt to bring her back to life.
With a sigh, his gaze shifted from her face to survey the room. The effort required to scrub y/n's body clean of blood made him anticipate the daunting task of cleaning his room.
Not to mention his clothes. His once dark green vest was now adorned in red, gradually transforming into a somber brown. One of his favorite vests now resembled an abstract painting, and it was all her fault.
And he dared not contemplate about his gloves for long. He was usually swift at cleaning them whenever blood stained the fabric, making it easier. He knew delaying the process would complicate matters once the blood had dried. However, exhaustion weighed heavily on him, compounded by the persistent pain in his leg.
His eyes scanned the chaos his room had become once more before returning to her. The desire to push her off his bed and crawl into it tugged at him.
That was until he remembered that he now, too, had to clean the sheets he had just washed hours ago, unless he wanted to sleep on bloody linens.
He groaned, his spine curving against the back of his chair as he threw his head back, his hands quickly coming up to cover his face.
Despite knowing her like the back of his hand, he found himself clueless as to why she had chosen to come here, and the lack of understanding grated on him.
At some point during the night, the weight on his eyelids became too formidable to resist. With one final gaze at her chest's gentle rise and fall, he allowed his chin to lower and rest on his chest, surrendering to the embrace of dreamland.
His dreams, as always, were haunted by her presence. The sparkle in her eyes upon receiving a rose, the comforting weight of her hand in his, and the melody of her laughter as she watched him attempt to knot a cherry's stem with just his tongue.
He had seen her do it countless times, each one effortlessly. The way her lips would glisten with sunlight as she parted them to place the stem inside her mouth.
"It's not that hard, Kaz. Watch."
And he would. His eyes piercing into the pink of her lips, observing as her jaw moved, and the bump her tongue created every now and then on her cheek.
His gaze would shift up to her eyes as he watched her squint one, focusing, her nose scrunching up.
Yet, his admiration was consistently interrupted by her triumphant exclamation, her hand rising to her mouth to retrieve the now knotted stem.
Back then, the task seemed impossible to him. He had made multiple attempts and failed each time. Now, however, he could knot the stems with little to no difficulty.
After the hate started and they drifted apart, he had spent much of his time attempting to forget her, but it proved impossible. After all, he was too engrossed in hating her to erase her from his thoughts.
Before he formed connections with any of his crows, and during the period when y/n and he were no longer on speaking terms, he occupied much of his free time by indulging in cherries. Their flavor, helping rid his mouth of the disgusting taste of jurda.
Popping the stem into his mouth, he tirelessly practiced the art of knotting it over and over again.
One day, he succeeded. From then on, it became progressively easier.
His slumber was rudely disrupted as someone burst into his room, and the daylight struck his eyes in a way that prompted a hiss of discomfort.
“Kaz-“
He was angry at whoever thought they could push his door open and rush in without even knocking first. Then, he remembered the state of the outside of his office, and the anger slowly dissipated.
“Inej.”
“What happened here?”
“Nothing that concerns you.”
Inej fell silent for a moment. Her gaze traced from the now brownish blood on his doorknob to the strangely persistent vibrant red pool by his desk. Following the trail of blood, her eyes paused at the shattered sewing kit before slowly moving to the back of Kaz’s head.
"Are you hurt?"
Kaz's head shook, a humorless laugh escaping his parted lips as he stretched his arms above his head before answering with a simple "No."
She cautiously inched forward, apprehensive about what she might discover but relieved to find Kaz was not in immediate danger. "Then—"
Kaz looked at her, anticipating her continuation of the question. However, before she could proceed, her eyes landed on y/n's form.
“Is that-“
“Yes.”
“What-“
“I don’t know.”
“Why-“
“I also do not know, Inej.”
Kaz had never spoken to Inej about Y/n. He knew he didn't have to provide details about who she was for the crows to be familiar with her. After all, her name, like his and his crows', was whispered in fear throughout the Barrel.
The sole piece of information the crows held about Y/n and Kaz was their mutual animosity. Thus, Kaz could envision the surprise Inej must have experienced when her mind finally comprehended whose blood had stained his office and whose unconscious body still lay on his bed.
"Is she going to be alright?"
"Sadly, yes."
With that, Inej nodded and silently slipped away from his office, mentioning something about instructing one of the dregs to clean the blood off the exterior before it induced another heart attack.
As if prompted by Inej’s comment, he stood up, emitting a grunt as his leg protested with pain. Retrieving his gloves, cloth, and bucket from where they were carelessly left the night before, he made his way to the bathroom.
He vigorously scrubbed at his gloves, desperate to erase any trace of her blood. In the process, vivid memories from the previous night flashed through his mind.
The images of her irritated skin as he scrubbed at the blood covering it, the slow breaths that escaped her parted lips.
With his gloves, he was gentler than he had been with her. His nails delicately digging into any bumps of dry blood, and freeing his gloves from them.
As his eyes met the mirror, he realized that her blood stained not only his gloves but also his left cheek and hair. He assumed it had transferred during his frantic run of fingers through his hair, or when wiping away the sweat from his cheek.
In the midst of rolling his eyes, a flicker of movement seized his attention – the movements that were coming from the second reflection on his mirror.
“Why here?”
He had been unable to extract the answer he desperately sought before, but now that she was awake, he was determined to put his mind at rest.
“Hello to you too, Kaz.”
“Why here?”
In the reflection, he observed her struggling to sit up, her hand pressing against her side, an attempt to alleviate the pain he was certain she was experiencing. Good.
“Look, Kaz-“
“I’m asking you one more time, and that is it. Why here?”
He observed her eyes wandering through the room, surveying the chaos it had devolved into. A subtle flicker of her tongue emerged, moistening her lips as if seeking to revive them from their chapped state.
His patience wore thin once again. With a sigh, he dropped his gloves into the sink and turned to face her. Arms crossed over his chest, he shot her an intense glare.
"Answer me."
He recalled uttering the same words the previous night as she lay on his bed, losing an insane amount of blood. If he concentrated hard enough on the memory, he could still smell the metallic scent of her blood.
“Where else if not here, Kaz?”
“Anywhere but here, Y/n.”
Her eyes finally locked with his, presenting an unusual sight compared to what he was accustomed to. The sparkle within them had long been extinguished, and the white now bore a haunting tint of red.
A bruise darkening the top corner of her eye, creeping toward her eyebrow, caught his attention. It seemed like the result of a forceful impact, possibly delivered by a fist adorned with rings. Gang boss.
Besides Jesper's penchant for rings, the exclusive wearers of such accessories were typically barrel bosses. The rings, often bulky, proudly displayed the insignia of the gang presided over by the person donning them.
These particular rings had a notorious reputation for leaving agonizing bruises, similar to the ones marking her face.
“The slat was the closest-“
“I don’t need your sob story. I want to understand why you believed I would be willing to save your life.”
“Is that not what you did, Brekker?”
There it was. She had transitioned from addressing him as Kaz to resorting to Brekker. He could sense the anger emanating from her, her face contorted in pain, and he permitted himself to relish the spectacle.
He savored it so thoroughly that he opted to add complexity to her situation, even though he wouldn't be there to witness the repercussions.
"It wasn't a favor without a cost. I have a meeting. When I return, I anticipate finding this place spotless, and I want you gone."

Hiiii! I really loved your jealous Korra fic so i wanted to request one of my own. Im a sucker for enemies to lovers or rivals to lover so i was hoping you could do one for Korra? Could be that the reader is in an opposing pro bender team and they’re soon to vs the fire ferrets?
OOOO YES.
Fire Comes From Within | Korra x Reader
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ PLOT: The rivalry between you and Korra should be recorded in history books. It started when she suddenly became one of the fire ferrets, then revealed herself to be the Avatar. It wasn't fair. You spent your whole life training to be a probender and now the Avatar was taking your rightfully owned space on the Fire Ferrets. With your match against the Fire Ferrets approaching, your team members and other probenders thought it would be nice to have a gathering before the big match.
╰┈➤ WARNINGS: Rivals to Lovers, Cursing, Not Proofread, No Use of Y/n, Two Parter, 3,000+ Words
PART TWO

Tumblr media
Nectar juice slid down your throat and slipped into your veins. The humid air underneath the party tent was sticky and smelt of cheap plastic.
There were many people around you, most conversing with themselves and your teammates. You sat at your table accompanied by dirty metal and porcelain dishes from dinner.
It was apparent you didn't want to be here. Why would you?
You didn't have friends on any other teams besides your own, you had to wake up early for training tomorrow, and the girl who took your spot on your dream team would soon arrive with her stupid smile and beautiful deep skin.
Tonight was the night of torture. Why couldn't anyone else see that?
"Hey, Lightning," an old colleague, Kei, greeted as she sat beside you. Kei used to be on the team you're currently on, The Element Mixers, but she was offered a spot on an international team. She obviously couldn't refuse. The pay was a lot better than what she had and the benefits were outstanding. "Whatcha doin' all alone? You know the party's over there, right?" she nodded her head towards the cluster of people. She laughed.
You shrugged as you swirled the nectar in your cup. "Yeah, so? I have no business being over there."
"Why's that?" she frowned, squaring her body towards yours. "You still feel like you don't belong?"
"No, I feel like I belong now," you sighed. You picked at the skin on your nails. The sweat on your palm combined with the condensation on the metal cup was making your drink slip out of your hands. "There's just someone here who I don't want to see."
Kei's frown deepened. She looked around the room, trying to find someone who would be unworthy of your love and greatness. There were some grungy people, but they were nice on the inside, so they were somewhat worthy of your love. Everyone else was colleagues Kei saw you with or your teammates. "Well, you mind telling me who?"
You threw back your drink, the nectar momentarily solving the itch in your throat. You haven't told anyone about your animosity towards Korra. How could you? She's the Avatar, a beloved icon for centuries, and you were hating her for selfish reasons. You don't even know her. You just know you don't like her.
"Someone from the Fire Ferrets," you confessed.
"Oh!" laughed Kei. "Well, luckily for you, the Fire Ferrets aren't even here."
"What?!" you exclaimed. In a normal setting, your volume would've caused others to turn heads, but with the loud chatter and music, no one batted an eye.
"Yeah," Kei laughed once more, "the Fire Ferrets were unable to some because of some arrangement the Avatar had prior, so they decided not to come altogether. I think Bolin said they were going to do something small by themselves."
You scoffed. Of course, you waste all your party energy on someone who's not even here. You could've enjoyed this party. You could've been the life of the party yet you decided to sulk and be angry. Why didn't your teammates tell you? How did Kei know?...
You glanced at Kei with a raised brow. At the sight of her colored cheeks, you had your answer. She had a little crush on Bolin. She probably got his number back when she was on The Element Mixers and never stopped talking to him since. You made a mental note to tease her about that later.
Right now, you had a party to leave and moves to train. Saying your goodbyes to Kei, you found your teammates and informed them of your updated plan.
They should be surprised that you wanted to leave the party early, but they're not. You loved to train super hard before a big tournament and knowing that you may be going against the Fire Ferrets, a team you have some weird stuff against, they should've seen your early dismissal coming.
"Just don't overwork yourself, okay?" your team leader, Guo, prefaced.
You waved him off with a huge smile on your face. "Wouldn't dream of it."
-
Pumped from last night's training and the amazing breakfast you've had with your teammates, you were ready to take on anything. You didn't even care you were fighting against Korra today. You had a few games before you went against her, considering if she even won her games before your match.
With your duffle bag slung over your shoulders, you laughed at a joke a teammate made as you guys walked into the training room. It was protocol to warm up before matches to prevent injuries, but your captain liked to get in early to have the training room to yourselves.
Turned out, the Fire Ferrets captain thinks smiliarly.
The smile wiped off your face when you laid your eyes on Korra's ponytail. The brown skin on her arms flexed as she punched punching bags and grunts came deep from her stomach.
"Of course, they're here early," you mumbled to your team. "It's so like Korra to flex and show off before the big game."
Guo and your other teammate Yi glanced at each other. "Uh," Yi said. "Looks like she's just training to me."
You scoffed, walking into the room and heading to the benches. "Yeah, right." You threw your bag onto the floor. The items inside your bag clattered and clanged against each other. You sat on the bench and shook your head as Korra moved on to her water warm-ups. "Just look at her. She thinks she's all that just because she's the Avatar."
Your teammates reluctantly came to your side. They sat on the bench and changed out of their shoes and into their workout shoes. They really didn't see anything out of the normal from Korra.
She was already practicing before the three of you walked in, so she had no one to show off to unless she wanted to show off to her teammates. But even then, she was so in the zone, your teammates were sure she didn't even notice y'all walking in.
As you approached the training floor, Mako and Bolin cut in front of you with scowls on their faces and their arms crossed over their chest. Mako looked scarier with his thin eyebrows and scrunched-up face while Bolin looked like an angry teddy bear.
You totally understood why Kei had a crush on him. He was totally her type.
"Can I help you?" you sneered.
"We heard you have some altercations with Korra," Mako spoke. "We wanted to make it clear that we would have none of that. Your personal business stays outside of the ring and disappears the moment you set foot into the arena."
You scoffed, pushing past Mako. "What Korra and I have is none of your business. You're not my captain, Hothead. I don't have to listen to you."
"Well, can you?" you swore you heard Bolin whine. "I can't stand the animosity on the court. Do you remember that one time Korra fought that guy and he almost lost his life? I don't want that to happen to you." Bolin eyed his brother. "Or us."
You let out one loud laugh. The laugh echoed throughout the room causing your team and Korra to pay attention to the conversation you were having.
"You think she's strong enough to make me cower during the match?" Okay, that came out douchey-er than you want to, but it's too late now. "Please. Just because she's the Avatar doesn't mean she's one of the greats in Probending. Just means she has an unfair advantage."
"Hey," Korra's voice boomed from a few feet away. "It's a well-known fact that I only use water bending to compete. Anyone would know that if they actually paid attention to the games."
"Sorry," you feigned a pout. "But I don't care about your games. I focus on what I have to bring to the table and improve my moves from there."
"So, you don't study your opponents?" Bolin questioned. With a slight smirk, Mako winced.
"That's not exactly the best tactic, Mixer."
You grumbled. Of course, you studied your opponents' moves. It was stupid not to know what you go up against. You were just trying to prove to Korra that you didn't care about her.
"Yeah," Korra chimed. She walked up to you, her arms crossed over her chest. Now, it was your teammates' turn to stand behind you like guard dogs. Mako and Bolin copied their stands but stood behind Korra. "That's not the best tactic and everyone knows you're obsessed with me. You don't have to lie to look tough."
You crossed your arms, squaring your shoulders to have a wider frame. "I'm not lying and I always look tough. I simply don't care about you so why would I study your moves?"
"To win," Korra snickered. "But it's fine. If you didn't study my moves, that means it'll be an easy fight because I've studied all yours." Korra stepped closer to you. You matched her move. "I know all your tricks."
"I highly doubt that," you whispered with narrowed eyes.
You tried with all your might to intimidate Korra, but every move you made triggered some sort of amusement in her. You could see it in her eyes, how they lit up when you tried to act tough; the corner of her lips would upturn into a smirk.
"I don't understand why you don't like me, Mixer," Korra took your lead in whispering the rest of your conversation. "I haven't done anything to you and we barely go against each other."
"That's for me to know and for you to never find out," you spat.
A satisfied hum came from Korra's lips. She leaned closer to your face, scanning your facial expressions and features. As she continued to gaze at you and you returned her gaze, your teammates stepped closer.
Mako and Bolin did the same, their eyes burning into your teammates.
Finally, after a slow and painful moment that felt like minutes, she pulled away. "I wouldn't be too sure about that. I'll see you in the arena, Mixer. Be sure to keep the crowd riled up for me. I can't wait to hear their cheers while I kick your butt."
With a laugh, she turned on her heels and resumed her training.
You let out an exasperated groan, turning your back to her and throwing your arms in the air. "I just can't stand her! She's so annoying and cocky. Like, who does she think she is?"
"The Avatar?" Yi spoke. She earned a glare from you, but she ignored it.
"Come on, Lightning, she was only like that because you started talking smack about her first," Guo attempted to rationalize with a hand on your shoulder.
You shrugged him off, another scoff leaving your mouth. "You don't get it. No one gets it. I'm going to beat her scrawny self–"
"–Scrawny?" Yi interrupted. Both you and Guo glared. She scoffed, putting her hands up in the air. "Come on, look at her! No one with thighs like hers and arms like hers is ever considered scrawny. You're insane."
--
The game against the Fire Ferrets was anything but easy. The matches before them went by like a breeze. No player was ready to feel the fire of your fury.
However, with the Fire Ferrets, you could barely make hits. The three of them were basically unstoppable. Maybe your conversation with them earlier riled them up more than you meant to. Rookie mistake.
Unluckily for the Ferrets, your team was just as fired up. Yeah, your team wasn't making any hits, but neither were they. There was a thick tension in the arena, even the announcers picked up on it.
"Oh, and another miss from the Fire Ferrets!" one of the announcers claimed. "I would hate to be you if you were missing this fight! While none of the teams are landing hits on one another, their determination is through the roof! It really keeps you on the edge of your seat."
"I really wish they would shut up," you told Yi as the two of you covered each other. Guo was too busy taking care of Mako to talk.
"Yeah, but hey, they're kinda entertaining."
An earth disk flew from the opposite side and made aim toward Yi's head. She dodged, Bolin exclaiming a sorry from the opposite of the court and then earning a scolding from Mako.
Guo took the opportunity to send a blast of water his way, causing the 6-foot something to fall onto his back and slide into the second ring.
You cheered Guo on. Finally, some minutes into the match, there was some action.
Since then, the action seemed to skyrocket. Hits upon hits kept flying by and landing on each target. Guo and Yi seemed to flip-flop between Mako and Bolin, but you had your eye on Korra and Korra only.
There would be an occasional blast of fire from Mako or some earth sent your way from Bolin, but you would send a string of earth discs their way to tell them to back off.
You wished you kept your mouth shut this morning. You've never seen such impressive teamwork from the Fire Ferrets. While your teammates were strong, Mako and Bolin were significantly stronger. Yi and Guo were out faster than the Flash.
No wonder you didn't make the Fire Ferrets. You weren't fit for them.
You spend half of your pro-bending career convincing yourself otherwise, but now, in the middle of a match, your reality was dawning on you and chipping at your heart until it broke and shattered into a million pieces on the arena floor.
You weren't fast enough, good enough. You didn't have the strength or dexterity as the Avatar. You hated to admit that, but you didn't. No amount of training will let you be as good as her and it was eating you alive.
Halfway through the second round, the Fire Ferrets won the first, your muscles ached. You were giving your all to Korra, letting your teammates pick up the slack against Bolin and Mako yet again.
Much like the first round, Yi and Guo were out within minutes. Now, unlike the first round, it was 3v1. At least in the first, you and Guo had wilted Mako down before Guo fell off and forced Mako to go with him.
Mako's fireballs and blasts caused you to sweat and your uniform to chafe as you kicked and flipped to avoid Bolin's and Korra's attacks. Your chest heaved, your breaths wheezy and coarse as you tried to defend yourself.
You could hear your teammates' cheers and Kei's encouraging words in your head. But no matter how cheerful their words were or how loud the crowd cheered for you to conquer, you couldn't do it.
This was your toughest fight thus far.
Your arms felt like falling off your shoulders and your legs were so heavy, you weren't sure if you could pick them up to walk.
A water whip to your gut pushed you into the second level. With the loud buzzer of a timeout, the Fire Ferrets cheered. They gathered around themselves, hugging and squeezing as if they won the match.
You scowled at the sight. Something inside your stomach quesed and churned. Heat spread throughout your chest while your teeth ground.
"You're okay!" Guo shouted. "Keep going! You got this!"
His words fell upon deaf ears.
The end was near and you had wished his optimism would die short in a fire. Could he just be real for a couple seconds? Would it kill him to tell you that you sucked and everything you've ever said and trained for would be for nothing?
Your eyes stung as you regathered yourself. You weren't sure if your eyes were stinging from tears or sweat, but that didn't matter now. You had a new game plan in your mind. First thing first, send Mako back. The closer his fire, the hotter it is. If you could send him to the second level, you would have some sort of relief.
The second part of your plan was to send Bolin back as well. Earth vs Earth was easy for you to figure out and Bolin excelled in short-distance combat. Sending him back would either tire him out or eliminate him altogether. You didn't care which one would happen first.
To handle Mako, you sent a few boulders his way along with pebbles to annoy. Mako did find the pebbles annoying, as predicted, and ended up in the second level.
You had a similar tactic for Bolin but didn't focus your earth elements to hit him but instead to push him back further and further to the second level line.
"Oh! And this is unexpected, but the single Elemental Mixer is taking on the Fire Ferrets alone!" the announcer from earlier well, announced. "The Fire Ferrets have to be the team to beat this year with the help of the Avatar and her training tactics."
You groaned, dodging blasts from the three of them still. "She is not all that cracked up she's made to be!" You sent slabs of earth towards Korra's direction. She used a thick string of water to slice the slab in half.
Why weren't you born a waterbender? She cut your slab so effortlessly, it was as annoying as it was impressive.
"Aw, whining about me again, little Mixer?" Korra taunted as she sent more water your way. It hit your shoulder and the liquid absorbed into your uniform, but the force wasn't strong enough to knock you into the third level.
"Shut up, Korra." You used pieces of rocks and slabs to make your own shield from the three's attacks. You were borderline fatigued. Even if your moves slowed Bolin and Mako down, Korra was still in the first line beating you up.
"I'm not sure if I want to." Korra used her water to wipe away your makeshift shield. Mako and Bolin went right back to throwing attacks.
They were getting tired too, their attacks were getting sloppy and barely hit you anymore.
"What happened to showing me up and winning?" Korra taunted. She sent a gush of water to your stomach, but you created a rock to take the hit. The water disbursed from either side of the rock and fell into the water below.
You threw the rock up then gave it a sidekick. The rock's pieces flew toward Mako and Bolin, but Mako used his fire to dissolve the pieces into ash. "You're not my priority right now," you told Korra.
"Oh, that's a shame because you're mine." Even behind her helmet, you could see her fake pout.
"Look, Korra, I'm not in the mood."
"Awh," Korra sent water ropes around your ankles. She flipped them, causing your ankles to cross in front of each other and send your stomach first onto the floor. "Because you were earlier. What happened? Got a change of heart?"
You really missed the days when your rivalry was one-sided. "Don't get on the Avatar's bad side". That was everyone's motto and warning to live by.
Why did you have to talk smack about her? Why didn't you have to challenge her and talk as if you were on the same skill level as her? You weren't. That was painstakingly clear now.
You couldn't even hear your teammates in the stands anymore. Was this how hopeless you were? You were acting so badly that your team lost hope? Or maybe they were so into the game that they forgot cheering was a part of the atmosphere. Whichever it was, it didn't matter anymore.
Your body was ripping at you, screaming at you to give up and you were going to listen to it.
Not bothering to get up from the floor, you send earth discs to their ankles. They hopped and scrambled over the discs. Your move caused Bolin to put himself in the third ring, but other than that, no one else budged.
As soon as you pulled yourself off the floor, Mako sent a blast of fire to your chest. You jumped back, putting you in the third ring and then finally to finish it off, Korra sent a strong gust of water to send you dropping into the water below.
You couldn't hear anything on your way down. When the cold water hit your hot body, it was like steam fled off your skin. It was over. The hard part was over and you didn't want to see or face anyone right now.
You stayed under the water as long as you could without worrying someone. Swimming to the surface, you could barely see Korra's ponytail bouncing up and down while she hugged her teammates.
Defeated, angry, and somber, you swam to the edge and went to the locker rooms to change.
--
By the time you showered and changed, all the sadness and defeat were replaced with annoyance and yet again, anger. You should've been the one to jump around with Mako and Bolin, celebrating your success in the finals.
You should be the one joking around with Bolin while Mako scolded the two of you for not paying attention.
Hanging out with them, training with them, and getting to know them was your dream and Korra had to swoop in and ruin it. She had to ruin everything.
Your feelings towards her were a mild dislike, but now, you hated her.
You, Lightning of the Elemental Mixers, hated the Avatar and wanted her to know it.

Can you do a fluff where like Ellie gets you flowers 😭 idk why I just think it’s so cute
it's so cute!!!!!!!!! i want ellie as my gf so bad it's embarrassing
the idea had been lurking in the back of her mind for weeks.
ellie didn't consider herself the kind of person who gives her partner something new every week. she was, indeed, in love with you, but her love expressed itself through her touch and words more than through gifts. but whatever, she thought, once in a while doesn't hurt anyone.
so she went, and when the flower boy (is that how he is called?) asked ellie wich kind of flowers she was looking for, she felt like and idiot i don't know man she almost said the ones she likes?
ellie even considered calling you to ask you what kind of flowers you liked, but she realized it was a dumb idea that would ruin her whole surprise plan. so she spent about 15 minutes picking out a bouquet made up of different flowers, choosing and regretting every time she picked a flower of a color that didn't match the rest. she could feel the flower boy's (she decided to call it like that) hateful look on her, but she was going to pay him anyway so fuck it.
then she walked a few blocks back with the flowers in her hands. she cringed. she didn't know how to hold them without feeling embarrassed and like a total loser.
"i saw dina and jesse on my way here" you said, laying in ellie's bed a couple hours later "they looked suspiciously couple"
ellie nodded "right" ellie mumbled as she paced the room, playing with her fingers.
"do you think they're together?"
ellie cast furtive glances toward her closet from time to time, trying to keep the thread of conversation going but failing in the attempt "huh?" she replied.
"dina and jesse" you repeated, looking at her "do you think they're together?"
she pretended to think about it, imagining her best friends together. then shrugged "i don't know. maybe"
you leaned back on your stomach, your hands supporting the weight of your head thoughtfully "they look good together"
ellie nodded absently, her body so restless that she couldn't stay in the same place for more than three seconds. if you saw the situation from afar, you'd think ellie was performing some kind of strange dance.
"i bought you something" ellie said after a few seconds.
you furrowed your eyebrows and sat down on the bed. you noticed how ellie was restless since you arrived, quieter than usual, not commenting much on your stories like she used to do practically all the time.
"what's that?" you asked, watching as ellie turned away to look for something hidden in her closet "you didn't have to."
she shake her, opening the closet door "it's not much"
you waited silently, watching as the locks stealthily escaped from her half bun, adorning her face and matching her freckles.
"close your eyes" ellie said, more for her sake than for yours.
you obeyed and closed your eyes, trying not to laugh at the suspense ellie was creating.
ellie laughed uncomfortably. her footsteps echoed in the room, indicating that she was approaching you "don't peek"
"i'm not!"
"i know" Ellie murmured, standing in front of you with the bouquet in her hands "i just wanted to make sure".
you let out a giggle, the excitement pouring out of your pores.
"okay" ellie took a big inhale "open them up"
a feast of colors and scents rose in front of your face. yellows, oranges, reds and pinks danced in your eyes, showing their ephemeral beauty. ellie hid behind the bouquet, her gaze intent on you, trying to decipher what your expression meant.
"ellie..." you murmured, getting up from the bed and stroking a yellow petal.
"i don't know what flowers you like" ellie replied "in fact, i didn't even know there were that many flowers. there were a million there, i thought maybe you'd like these."
you were still admiring each of the flowers. their smells permeated your nostrils, making your nose itch but you wanted to smell them one more time.
"i put the bouquet together all by myself" ellie continued, a hint of pride in her voice "that guy at the flower shop didn't even help me. he didn't know shit about anything. i bet it was his first da..."
you gently took the flowers from ellie's hands and laid them on the bed, wrapping ellie's body in a hug.
"thank you" you murmured, your arms wrapping around her neck.
ellie took a few seconds to reciprocate your embrace, but when she did you could feel a weight lift off her shoulders. ever since you arrived she had a feeling that a wolf was inhabiting her stomach, ready to devour every organ in her body if her gift didn't go as she had planned.
now she was relaxed, her mind didn't feel the need to babble on about everything that was going through her head to avoid the nervousness. she was so awkward and you loved it.
she hid her face in the space between your shoulder and your neck, her arms around your waist in the softest way.
"did you like them?" she murmured against your skin.
you laughed lightly before nodding fiercely "they're beautiful"
ellie released you from her clutches after a few seconds, sitting on the bed and indicating you to do the same next to her, to babble randoms data she had taken care to learn about those flowers a few hours before your arrival.
the sun went down and gave way to a sunset of the same colors as those flowers, while you told ellie where the flowers would go, she listened to you attentively while she left delicate kisses on your skin, some more wet than others. the reality is that ellie couldn't care less about those flowers when she had you in front of her.

"A broken ankle, karma rules"
no outbreak! Joel Miller x f! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: you slipped on ice in front of your neighbor Joel and he ran to help you. warning: none besides a broken ankle, "peach" is reader's nickname, and probably grammar mistakes because I wrote this too fast. Word count: 2,6k a/n: This is the last piece of writing for the Christmas season! It's a short one but a lovely one. I'm actually dying because it's too hot here in my country (perhaps because Pedro is here) I hope you have a lovely Christmas Eve, take care of yourself and I hope there is so much love for you on your way!

It has been five months since your neighbor, Joel had moved to the house next to yours, in a neighborhood mostly habited by lovely elderly people, you were the youngest woman in this street, and the sweetheart, loved by everyone around. Well, you, your kind heart, warm personality, and the delicious pastries you baked since you were a professional baker.
And of course, the arrival of Joel changed the course of events at the neighborhood, at that sunny morning when he parked his car in front of his house, full of his belongings, clearly indicating he was taking the house.
At first, you didn’t understand the commotion outside when you spotted 3 of the ladies chatting and laughing with an unknown guy on the cobblestones in front of your yard, just when you were leaving for work.
As a shy person, you sometimes hated the new introductions and tried your best to avoid them, but this morning it seemed like the odds weren’t in your favor. Once you stepped outside your door, the three heads, well now four, turned to you, smiling, and the chatting stop abruptly.  You could swear the eyes of the stranger wide at your presence. You felt the rush creeping up your cheeks and swallow, making your war downstairs your porch.
“It’s our lovely baker here, come on sweats pea, let us introduce you both” one of the ladies said, her name was Betty and he was a lovely woman in her 80s.
You walked towards them, avoiding the lump in your throat and the stammer on your heart at the presence of the men next to Betty.
“Look, Joel. She is our lovely peach. Well, that’s not her name but we all call her that because she bakes the best peach tarts in this town” she beamed.
“Hi, nice to meet you, peach” he smirked, “I’m Joel” he took your hand to shake, and you swore there was an electric touch once your hands made contact.
"Joel, you have tried her peach tarts" Betty asked with a sly smile.
Joel, catching on to the playful matchmaking, replied, "I would love to."
As you blushed at that, Betty seized the moment. "Well, you're in for a treat! Peach, why don't you tell Joel about your baking journey? It's such a fascinating story."
“Well, I’m actually have to go to work but I-you. I’m, we can’t talk later” you replied, shyly, making your
“And again, nice to meet you, Joel. I” you smiled, trying to avoid looking into his eyes.
Tumblr media
It has been five months since that morning and you could say you and Joel got along well since then, you wouldn’t say you were both friends but you clearly could say you were on good terms and he was a great neighbor.
Since then, you had found out he was single, no wife, not girlfriend and not daughter, but he did have a dog that always switched his time between your house and his, trying somehow to pull you and Joel together.
And now, as the winter sky painted hues of lavender color in the horizon, you found yourself bundled up in a cozy blanket, sitting on the bench outside your doors with a steaming cup of tea cradled between your hands. The air was crisp, and the soft glow of holiday lights adorned the houses, casting a warm and festive ambiance.
Joel, with his dog by his side, approached quietly, the soft crunch of leaves beneath his boots announcing his presence. The winter silence was interrupted only by the distant sound of carolers and the occasional jingle of bells from some houses, and his presence.
"It's enchanting, isn't it?" Joel remarked, his breath forming a mist in the cold air as he settled beside you.
You smiled, the warmth of the tea contrasting with the chilly breeze, "Yes, there's something nice about winter evenings. Especially on the eve of Christmas."
Joel nodded, his gaze capturing the twinkle of Christmas lights around the neighborhood. "Absolutely. It's my first winter here, but there's a special charm to this season."
He turned to you, taking a look of your side profile looking at the sky. He hadn’t really paid attention of the beautiful features adorning your face. For him, you were clearly a gorgeous woman, but right now in the quietness of a winter afternoon and gorgeous colors around, he thought you looked breathtaking, and his heart stopped beating for a second.
He cleared his throat, “So, any plans for tomorrow night?”
You contemplated your answer for a while before answering the question, “Well, I’m just driving to my parents’ house. We aren’t really a big family so I’m spending the night with them” you smiled, turning to your side to face Joel “What about you?”
“With my parents. I mean they’re coming and my lil’ brother and kids. They all want to know the place I’m living now” he chuckled.
“If is not a bother, I would love to ask you if you could bake a peach tart for me?” his big brown eyes shone under the soft light left of the day “you promised once you would bring me one but you didn’t so…”
Your heart fluttered at the genuine warmth in Joel's request, and the winter chill seemed to retreat in the face of the newfound connection between you two.
"Of course, Joel. I'd be happy to bake a peach tart for you. It's the least I can do for my neighbor and his family," you replied, a grin spreading across your face.
Joel's eyes lit up with gratitude, and he flashed a grateful smile. "Thanks, peach. I can't wait to taste one." He stepped up from beside you and flashed you another smile “So, see you tomorrow.”
“I’ll knock at your door with a peach tart.” you beamed.
Tumblr media
As you got ready to drive to your parent's house, your mind was filled with the joy of giving and the anticipation of the holiday night.
Before hitting the road, you took extra care in preparing the peach tart for Joel. The sweet aroma of baking filled your kitchen, creating an atmosphere of warmth and festivity. Once the tart was baked to perfection, you carefully wrapped it in a festive box, adding a touch of holiday magic with a ribbon.
The night before, the snow had painted the neighborhood in a blanket of white, transforming the cobblestones and rooftops into a winter wonderland. As you stepped outside, the chill of the morning air nipped at your nose, and you couldn't help but marvel at the serene beauty of the snowy landscape.
With the box in hand, you made your way carefully towards Joel's house, navigating the slippery cobblestones with caution. The snow had turned the quaint neighborhood into a picturesque scene, and the holiday lights twinkled against the snowy backdrop.
But just before you reached the stairs of the porch, your misstep, slipping on the icy pavement. A gasp escaped your lips, and time seemed to slow for a moment. The festive box containing the carefully prepared peach tart tumbled from your hands, landing with a soft thud on the snowy ground. Your heart raced as you tried to regain your balance, but the slippery surface had other plans.
“Damn it!” you yelled, at the impact, and you winced as you felt the cold seeping through your winter attire.
Just as the echoes of your frustration lingered in the air, a door creaked open. Joel, having heard your exclamation, rushed out of his house with concern etched on his face. His eyes widened as he took in the scene, the fallen box, the snowy ground, and you, trying to gather yourself.
"Peach, are you okay?" he called out, his voice filled with genuine concern.
You managed a sheepish smile as you felt the flush on your cheeks, "I'm fine, just a little clumsy in the snow."
Joel hurried over; his steps cautious on the slippery pavement. "Here, let me help you up," he offered, extending a hand.
But you yelped in pain as you tried to stand up, a sharp twinge radiating from your ankle.
Joel's expression shifted from concern to alarm as he saw the discomfort etched across your face. "Hold on, Emily. Don't force yourself up. Are you hurt?"
You winced, clutching your ankle. "I think I might have twisted it. It hurts."
Without hesitation, Joel carefully crouched down beside you, his eyes scanning for any signs of serious injury. "Let me take a look," he said, his voice calm and reassuring.
As he examined your ankle, you couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and gratitude. The peach tart, now forgotten in the snowy commotion, lay beside you. The chilly air seemed to intensify as Joel's worried gaze focused on your ankle.
"I'm no expert, but it might be best if we get you inside and have a closer look," Joel suggested, his concern evident on his voice.
You nodded, appreciating his attentiveness. With Joel's support, you managed to stand, albeit with difficulty. Together, you limped towards his front door, the snow underfoot now a hindrance rather than a picturesque setting.
Once inside, Joel helped you settle into a chair. "I think it might be a good idea to have a doctor take a look at your ankle. I can drive you to the hospital."
But instead of uttering a word, you started crying. Embarrassment and sadness clouded your mind, with a possible broken ankle you wouldn’t be able to drive to your parent’s house and you just had ruined Joel’s tart.
Joel, seeing your distress, knelt down beside you, his expression a blend of concern and empathy. "Hey, it's okay. Accidents happen, and your health is what matters most right now. We'll figure things out."
“But I ruined your tart” you sobbed, into your palms.
“I don’t care about the tart now, but you, okay? Let me drive you to the hospital” he said, looking out his car keys.
“No, Joel, I can drive myself” you insisted, attempting to push away the feeling of being a burden.
"Don't be a dummy, peach," he said, using the endearing nickname. Joel gently took your hands away from your face, looking into your eyes with sincerity. "Your health is more important. We'll figure out the rest later. Let me help you."
Feeling embarrassed, you nodded, realizing the truth in his words. With Joel's support, you allowed him to guide you to his car, the winter chill contrasting with the warmth of his concern.
As Joel drove carefully through the snowy streets to the hospital, a quiet and comfortable silence settled between you two. The twinkling Christmas lights outside seemed to blur in the background as your thoughts focused on the unexpected turn of events.
"I appreciate your help, Joel," you finally said, breaking the silence.
He glanced at you, a reassuring smile on his face. "That's what neighbors do, right? Look out for each other. Plus, I wouldn't want you driving with a potentially broken ankle."
Your previous accident hit you again, and you sighed. "This wasn't how I imagined spending Christmas Eve."
Joel nodded, understanding in his eyes. "Life has a way of surprising us. Perhaps, something good may happen after this” he said, looking to the front of the road.
Tumblr media
Arriving at the hospital, Joel helped you out of the car and into the emergency room. As you waited for the doctor, the events of the day played in your mind. Despite the unexpected twists, you found solace in the genuine care Joel had shown towards you right now, as he took care of you by holding your hand tightly as you both wait for the doctor to attend your ankle.
After what felt like an eternity, the doctor finally arrived, breaking the quiet tension in the emergency room. Joel stood by your side, holding your hand tightly, offering a reassuring anchor as the doctor began to assess your ankle.
The doctor examined the X-rays and then turned to you with a composed expression. "Well, it seems you have a broken ankle. Nothing too severe, but you'll need to be cautious and follow the recommended care for a proper recovery."
You nodded, absorbing the news with a mix of resignation, and the doctor continued to explain the care instructions, detailing the use of crutches, the importance of keeping weight off the injured foot, and the expected timeline for healing.
Joel listened attentively; his concern evident in his eyes. However, to your surprise, the doctor, with a knowing smile, glanced between you and Joel.
"You're fortunate to have such a supportive boyfriend," the doctor said, assuming Joel was your boyfriend.
“Oh, he is-“
“Of course, everything for taking care of my girl” Joel interrupted, playing along with the assumption. He smiled warmly at you, as the grip on your hand gently tightened.
You exchanged a surprised glance with Joel, realizing that he was choosing to support the charade. The doctor continued, providing further guidance and answering any questions you both had.
As the appointment concluded, the doctor left the room, leaving you and Joel alone once again. You couldn't help but feel confusion at Joel’s behavior.
“Why did you do that?” you asked, curious.
Joel looked at you with a sheepish grin, his eyes reflecting a mix of playfulness and sincerity. "Well, it just seemed easier at the moment. Plus, I didn't want to complicate things. It's not like it's hurting anyone, right?"
“oh” you said, your tone disappointed.
“And because I think you are beautiful” he said, once he felt the disappointed in your voice “And I don’t care about peach tarts when I would rather taste the lips of the person who bakes them” he confessed.
Joel's confession hung in the air, and you found yourself caught between surprise and a growing warmth in your cheeks.
"I didn't mean to disappoint you," Joel said, a hint of concern in his eyes.
Your disappointment had quickly shifted to a mixture of surprise and something else—a fluttering sensation in your stomach. "No, Joel, it's not that. I just didn't expect—"
He gently interrupted, "Expect the unexpected, right? Life has a way of surprising us, I told you earlier” he said, smirking.
"Beautiful, huh?" you teased, attempting to lighten the moment.
Joel grinned, "Oh, absolutely.” He continued, "And as for the peach tart, I'd gladly trade it for a taste of something sweeter."
With a subtle shift, Joel leaned in, closing the distance between you. The moment felt like a suspended breath, a pause in time where the unexpected had become a canvas for something beautiful.
Your heart raced as Joel's lips met yours, the taste of your lips was just as sweet as he imagined, and the world outside, covered in a blanket of white, seemed to fade away as the warmth of your new found connection met in both of your lips moving against each other.
As the kiss deepened, you started to feel breathless, a rush of emotions swirling within you, and you even felt grateful for breaking your ankle because it led you to Joel.
the taste of the shared kiss created a sense of completeness, as if the universe had conspired to bring you together on this snowy Christmas Eve. The initial disappointment and frustration had given way to a profound appreciation for the serendipitous journey that had unfolded throughout the day.
When the kiss finally broke, you found yourself looking into Joel's eyes, a silent language being spoken between looks.
“Yes, definitely sweeter than a tart” Joel remarked, a playful glint in his eyes.
Joel remarked, the playful glint in his eyes creating a shared laughter that echoed in the quiet space.
You chuckled, the joy of the moment enveloping you both. "I guess breaking my ankle wasn't the worst thing that could've happened today."
Joel grinned, "Who would've thought a slip on the icy pavement could lead to all this?" His eyes held amusement
“Merry Christmas, peach,” he said, kissing you again.

hi! id like to request a prof remus x prof wife that involves the reader being jealous that remus is being flirted with and he finds it cute that she’s jealous <3
Thank you for sending this request. Keep sending me requests <3 REBLOGS AND COMMENTS IF YOU LIKE THIS
Y/n is an independent and strong woman. For a long time, she had believed she needed no man to make her feel good. She was confident in herself to never fall on her knees for a man.
But not only Remus John Lupin has torn down Y/n's walls that she had built up throughout the years and brought her down to her knees, but he also made her feel something she never knew she was capable of feeling. Jealousy. She watched as a 7th-year student blatantly flirted with her husband. Oh, how the ancestors were right. Jealousy is an ugly color. And Y/n hated how she was throwing daggers at the student who leaned towards Remus too closely.
But Y/n lost her cool when the student touched Remus' arm for a second too long, giggling over a joke Remus made. Y/n rolled her eyes. It wasn't even that funny. She has heard better. Y/n started rolling the ring on her left hand. It's weird how the coldness of the metal brought warmth to her heart, reminding her of the promise she shared with Remus of spending a life with him only to be apart when death says it's time.
Remus immediately noticed the discomfort on his wife's face and excused himself, not noticing the scowl on the student's face. His eyes only focused on his Y/n. A mischievous smirk spread on his face as he saw her picking her nail clear telltale sign that she was upset about something and had no intention of sharing it with Remus. But he has his ways of making his dove speak.
Remus tugged her towards him taking her to his office but Y/n did not react even though internally butterflies were raging in her stomach. Without a word Y/n sat in his chair and picked up a worn book that was resting on his desk.
He watched her as he held back his laughter. With a coquettish grin, he approached her, his hands behind his back. "Is something the matter, dove?" he asked in a soft tone.
Y/n stubbornly shook her head, clearly enjoying the attention of the werewolf. He grinned. "If that's the case, why are you holding the book upside down?"
She gasped and instantly straightened the book in her hand. "Honey..talk to me." His voice was almost whiny as he nudged his nose on her neck.
"Why don't you talk to that student and ask her what's the matter?" Even before she could roll her eyes, Remus held her jaw gently and made her look into his eyes.
"Dove, you have my heart, my soul and my body. Then why are you so grumpy about an 18 year old when I have eyes only for you?"
He gently caressed her cheek when she revealed with a pout. "I know Remus. I just don't like it. I know I seem possessive, but even you look like you will turn into your werewolf form when a man merely looks my way."
Remus tugged her towards him again, chuckling at his own hypocrisy. "I'm sorry, dove. I didn't realise I was being hit on. But I would love to let that happen to me again if I get this reaction from you."
He laughed when she scoffed and lovingly hit him. Remus wrapped his arms around her, taking her in as she glowed under the dim lights of his office. Remus didn't believe in God but was willing to pray that God would let him spend eternity with Y/n.
As her eyes searched his eyes, Remus took this moment to kiss her passionately and deeply. His breath, his tongue clashing with hers. His arms held her possessively. Remus smirked when Y/n broke the kiss with a gasp.
"You wanna mark me up or what?" He asked her with a shit eating grin, clearly enjoying the effect he had on her.
"Moony, I hate you." She finally got to roll her eyes.
With a chuckle, Remus said as he kept pressing kisses all over her face. "I love you too, dove."
A/N: Welp I tried my best. Please do tell me if you like it or hate it. REBLOGS AND COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED
