a/n: so it's been a while since i've posted some cabin headcanons, and i LOVE aphrodite kids, and i've gotten a bunch of requests for aphrodite cabin hcs 😭 i'm sorry it took this long, i'm getting back into the cabin hcs but i'm focusing on fics rn, but yeah! i hope you all enjoy this, and thank you to everyone who requested aphrodite cabin!

so aphrodite kids are generally pretty cool
they're naturally very outgoing and caring people, who love big and hard and are wonderful people to have in your life
but they can also be a bit of a handful
they tend to have very big and dramatic emotions, and they cry at a lot of things
every aphrodite kid had the experience of being labeled a crybaby when they were younger
they come by their emotional-ness naturally
aphrodite kids are naturally very flirty as well
like they're the kind of people that flirt with their friends no matter what
which you would think would make it difficult to tell when they actually have a crush on somebody, but it doesn't for some reason, you can just kinda tell
aphrodite kids are not shy when they like someone
aphrodite kids are the type of people who as soon as they come to the conclusion that they have a crush on someone they just flat out tell them
obviously this doesn't happen every time because there are some aphrodite kids that are more shy, but for the most part, that's just the type of person they are
so not every aphrodite kid has the ability to charmspeak, but they all have a better skill at convincing people to do things for them
like it’s not charmspeak but they are naturally more charming/convincing
obviously kids who get the charmspeak gene are much more convincing than other aphrodite kids but you know what i mean
weird little quirk about aphrodite kids, they love sugar cookies
they could not tell you why, they just really love them for like, no reason
aphrodite kids are also huge matchmakers
like HUUUUGE
do not tell an aphrodite kid who you have a crush on if you don't want them to start trying to set you up with that person
although, if they do it's a good sign, because aphrodite kids really try not to matchmake a person with someone they don't like, because they think that's really mean on both parts
aphrodite kids were the kids that were dating in elementary and middle school
and saying "i love you" two days in, let's be totally honest
they also were totally wearing makeup at like 10
not that that's necessarily a bad thing, other demigods probably wore makeup at 10, aphrodite kids are just so much more likely
although it's a common misconception that aphrodite kids always wake up at 5 in the morning to put on an elaborate glam makeup look for everyday wear
that is not true
well, in some cases it is, but it's much more common for aphrodite kids to just wear casual, feature-enhancing makeup for everyday
don't get me wrong, when there's an occasion, they JUMP at the opportunity to go full glam
aphrodite kids also do other demigods' makeup when they need it
also, if you ever need a personal stylist, go to the aphrodite cabin beacuse they LOVE it when people need fashion advice
they often give it anyway, so it's extra nice when people don't yell at them for telling them how to style their orange camp t-shirts
yes, the camp half-blood orange shirts are iconic, but there are definitely aphrodite kids that have wanted to change the color to something a bit less... harsh, as it's hard to style something so bright
aphrodite kids LOVE making friendship bracelets
you know, the ones with embroidery floss that you tie knots to make, and you like tape it/tie it to your water bottle
aphrodite kids make those all day every day
they have a little plastic drawer thing that has just SO MUCH embroidery floss in it, all the colors you can imagine, complete with a few printed out templates that they sometimes use to make some fun ones
they give these out to literally everyone
they make sure that everyone in camp has at least one friendship bracelet made by them
they also like to teach kids from other cabins how to make them, and whenever an aphrodite kid gets a bracelet made by someone other than an aphrodite kid, they get so happy
their hearts just warm so quickly
it's adorable to see because their whole face lights up, and then they hug you, and it's so cute
they've even given a couple to chiron and mr. d, and they actually wear them
chiron doesn't wear them as often, because he likes looking formal sometimes
but mr. d wears them all the times
it's so funny, because mr. d claims that the campers are the bane of his existence, they're so annoying, but if an aphrodite kid hands him a friendship bracelet, he looks at it for a second, nods his head, and then slips it on his wrist to add to his collection
the collection is getting a little bit too big for his one hand, so he's started putting them on his other wrist
everytime this happens, the aphrodite kid that gave him the bracelet makes fun of him for being a softie, but he just rolls his eyes and goes back to sipping his coke while watching the lake
aphrodite kids are also super touchy
they honestly have all the love languages, but their big one is physical affection
they LOVE hugs
they LOVE holding hands
they LOVE kissing
obviously the kissing is only in a romantic aspect, but you get it
if you're friends with an aphrodite kid, they're going to hug you all the freaking time
they just love showing their love for you by squeezing the air out of you!
aphrodite kids will hold hands with you platonically as well
obviously, if this makes you uncomfortable and you don't want to hold hands and/or hug, they'll respect that, but they kinda won't think to ask you if that makes sense
they'll never be like "are you okay if i hug you?"
but if you ever tell them politely that you don't want to be hugged, they won't hug you anymore
aphrodite kids are also crazy passionate
about literally everything
when they have a passion for something, they have a passion for it
like, they will dedicate their whole heart and soul to something because they love it
they just have a lot of love in their hearts that needs to go somewhere
another random thing: aphrodite children were born to be fangirls
(and boys but you know)
they all have a celebrity crush that they are obsessed with and will like dedicate their life to watching edits of
(if i was a child of aphrodite, it would be dior goodjohn)
(what am i talking about it already is)
they also have a love for art
like specifically art from the renaissance period, they LOVE that
they just can appreciate a really beautiful piece of artwork, because they see beauty in everything
there's a common misconception that aphrodite kids are mean and stuck up, and there definitely are mean and stuck up kids, but there's mean and stuck up kids from every cabin.
aphrodite kids are honestly some of the nicest and kindest and most loving people you'll ever come across
they do have a tendency to throw temper tantrums every once in a while, but not in the way that like a toddler throws a temper tantrum
like i said, they just have a lot of big emotions, and they don't always know what to do with them
aphrodite kids are also often overlooked in a battle sense
everyone thinks that just because they care about their appearance, they won't be good soldiers, but that is 100% NOT TRUE
aphrodite kids are amazing at fighting and battle, maybe not as good as others, but they are good and can hold their own
don't underestimate them, though, because if you do, they make it their mission to prove you wrong
also, when aphrodite kids set their mind to something, they make it happen
so if someone makes a comment about them not knowing how to use a sword... let's just say they'll show you they do
all in all, aphrodite kids are super fun to be around, and they're the kind of friend that you can depend on no matter what, so it's always good to have an aphrodite kid in your corner

I feel bad for Starlo. (pt. 3)
Starlo's friend, his BEST FRIEND, the woman who he's been in love with long ago (maybe he still is, we don't know because he's so nice as not to act on his feelings or even show them), the person who was supposed to be there for him, be understanding even tho she doesn't share the same passion, be considerate of the feelings Starlo's always been dealing with (hating being born a farmer, hating himself, hating feeling worthless and unappreciated)... Now, don't get me wrong, there were instances where she did try to understand his obsession and pretend she was into it, but it kinda just... fell flat. Even Ceroba herself admits:
Then there were moments like this:
Yeah, Ceroba's not trying too hard to "roll with his punches" here. It feels like she's constantly trying to figure out whether to be accepting of Star because he's so passionate, or annoyed because they're not on the same wavelength.
Then we get these:
Well, based on all this, you'd think she'd be understanding of him later on, at least on an emotional level (aka understand as to WHY he's been more 'selfish' and 'reckless' ever since Clover arrived,) but...
What now??
You mean how, instead of being miserble like when he was just a farmer who couldn't do much for his community, he now pretends not to be miserable by entertaining you all? Right??? Or do you mean he's changed in a DAY because of Clover?
But what?

So you want to see the farmer who feels worthless, just being the Nice Guy™ he always has been (I decided to check out TV tropes for Star, and found out how he's basically been the "Nice Guy" archetype before Clover came. So I repeat: what's the issue with him stepping out of that for a day? I explained already how the guy's NOT to fully blame here and I really mean it. Yeah he has flaws, yeah Clover's presence brought out the "worst" in him, but we mustn't forget who he's been before that and that his true motivation has always been lifting up everyone's spirits).
The guy made all the sacrifices he could (not only worked hard to make the entire Wild East thing come to fruition, but basically became a rebel, when you remember humans are hated by monsters, and he's basically openly idolizing them) for his loved ones and even strangers. It's always been him relying on outer validation and doing stuff for others in order to feel important. But he never felt truly understood. By training Clover, he actually got to spent time with a human kid who's so much like him and shares not only the same love for westerns but the same "justice" quality. Sure, Ceroba had tried to understand, but ultimately failed and Star himself had to explain to her why he'd been acting the way he did, after Showdown.
You don't want him to have pride in himself and feel cool for a single day, Ceroba? She mentions how he's never been as ecstatic as he was that day. So in other words, Star's always been a wild card when it came to the sheriff business but not THIS wild. Which I'm sure means how other monsters have always been his main focus, and not him acting all arrogant (ties in well with that "Nice Guy" archetype). Even the training didn't feel too crazy to me, tbh. He only locked Martlet up because of the potential of his town being shut down. It's a town that he's been working on for so long, the town that makes him feel like he's more than just a nobody. Plus, he says how locking Martlet up was only a temporary solution:
I feel like I've said this a million times before, but Starlo's not a bad guy or a jerk, he just wants to be appreciated and loved and understood. Yet even his closest friends couldn't put themselves in his shoes and think: Why? What's the true motivation of Star idolizing Clover? Of him apparently acting "out of hand"?

This is probably a very unnecessary post, but I just wanted to apologise to every brilliant author in this fandom who's written and posted a Stucky fic lately that I haven't gotten around to reading yet. I have been reblogging any new fics I've come across because I love that everyone is posting them and I DO very much want to read them, but it's just been a weird time lately, shipping-wise.
I actually haven't been reading much at all since I've gotten so caught up in writing for my other ship, BUT I already foresee a huuuuge Stucky-fic reading binge coming up in the not too distant future. So yeah, just wanted to make it clear that it's not that I don't want to read your fics or that I've lost interest altogether. It really is just that I'm not currently in the right headspace to appreciate them properly. But as soon as I am, I am reading all those no doubt incredible fics and I honestly can't wait! ❤️

i do a lot of writing, my first novel is actually fully drafted and i’m hoping to have it edited within the next 2 years so i can publish :) other than that main one + my other main-ish novel i have about ten million wips 😭

I drew...something...
Just imagine no other employees being around since Faba isn't into PDA. If others would be around they would never do that.
Huuuuge Rant:
I am thinking to myself "Hey Angi can you draw something else than fluff". No somehow at the moment I am unable to draw anything else.
In this week I drew this and a bunch of Researchethicshipping stuff that I post soon. I am literally boiling with idea. Please give me more time Dialga.
Here we have Lilac and Faba! Yay- who even is she btw.
I try to explain as shit as possible:
In my dumb Story she is Fabas Assistant (thats why they share similar outfits) but before that, she helped the Aether Foundation out with a "little" Ultra Beast disaster that was going on in Alola. Strong Trainers all around the world were asked to help out and since this snitch just finished going to the Academy (as an adult since she was never allowed to be a trainer before thanks to her possesive mother. Is other story) and obtained her Champion rank in Paldea (which is a whole other arc) she had nothing better to do than going to Alola. And boom there she met Faba who invited her into the Aether Foundation. Then a bunch of things happend, Fabas Villain arc, betrayel, Forgiving, understanding, Lilac being dense, blabla, and for now things are kinda fine. Faba wants to change but has a lot of issues with himself, mainly his pretty shit and unloving past comes up to him a lot. So Lilac (and Colress later too) support him on that Journey with a lot of love and support.
That's literally it as summary (honestly without background knowledge this sounds very boring iehrkwjhd). But the story will get bigger than that since I want them to visit a l l possible regions and let them do something there. I already have a lot of ideas for some regions. (For some others not XD)
Also I am looking for a Shipname for these two. My first and only idea was PurpleBeanShipping but I am not really vibing that much with it for now;
I already said so much but one last thing 💀 Lilac ofc respects Faba a lot. They work very close together and hide their relationship as much as possible and only do things when nobody is around. But just as with Colress some Co-Workers probably know what's going on by time.
Also she uses Boss or Branch Chief quite often only to spoil him. She usually is very soft to him but well that usually can also be different. Still soft tho 💀

Okay I just found out about your g!bruce meets the batfam AU and I LOVE IT SO MUCH - have only gone through the tumblr posts but I have the fic on my list to read. Wondering how you think of Jason's resurrection and Barbara's paralyzation working in a post-Gotham world? (Not specifically related to your AU sking you because you also seem really excited about these two worlds clashing!)
Because the way I see it, Hugo Strange was a well known factor and his resurrections don't appear to have any side effects. So why didn't Bruce try to get Jason resurrected, even if it meant working with an enemy?
Barbara's paralyzation pretty much happened exactly like Selina's did - so would Bruce not only be beating himself up, but also be able to approach Ivy for help? Or at least wouldn't Selina or Barbara Kean do it?

okay okay, jason's death and barbara's paralyzation.
jason first.
imo, if bruce ever comes face to face with hugo strange again, there won't even be words involved, that man is getting the beat down of his life. batman will MAKE IT so that that man stays in jail, if even only because he would be beat half to death again if he was let out.
hugo strange ordered the hit on bruce's parents, after all, and while bruce is opposed to murder, he is not, as we have seen, opposed to beating the stuffing out of someone repeatedly.
i also feel like that one girl who was introduced to the show really had more of an impact on bruce than is explored, because the show set them up almost like siblings. the girl, karen jennings i think? yeah, she was really close with thomas wayne before his death and he came to visit her often. he was involved in keeping her safe from the people at indian hollow (who moved there after pinewood was shut down).
karen suffered IMMENSELY under the hand of hugo strange, and during her short stay on the show, she and bruce got very close and developed what i personally see as an early sibling bond (and another example of bruce latching onto people and becoming emotionally involved way too quick, like, as a pattern).
anyway, hugo strange's mechanisms eventually end up getting karen brutally murdered right in front of bruce, so i feel like that could have a major effect on his mind, esp at that age and knowing what he does (or later did? my timeline there is fuzzy) about strange being involved in his parents' death.
because of his personal anger with him, deep-set mistrust of him (he likely heard about how he put a chip in ed's brain after penguin payed him to, essentially, revive him from the dead), and his respect for karen, he wouldn't ever get hugo involved, i believe.
as for barbara's paralyzation, i think that selina's side effects would play a huuuuge role here. in the show, when bruce gets the cure from ivy, she warns that it might have some side effects, and soon after, selina begins exhibiting animalistic and highly emotional traits, such as irrationality, extreme anger, low temper, excessive growling/hissing, etc.
it was during this time that bruce and selina's relationship was coming up on its time for both of them to decide what would happen next. after reunification, what would happen to both of them? would they still be a "they?"
even though both selina (deal with penguin) and bruce (helicopter, but also the interrupted dinner scene) want to leave gotham, either for good (selina) or for an extended period of time (bruce), neither of them are truly 100% involved in the discussion, which leads to communication issues, which is what eventually causes their breakup.
what i was more getting at bruce thinking here, however, i would say that bruce blames himself for getting her involved in the first place (as she literally did blame him, not that i can be mad at her), that she got shot because of him, and that he made the personal choice to force her to live on and feels responsible for taking the cure which gave her so many side effects (which she likes but he hates), bruce ultimately blames himself for their messy breakup and all of the pain that has caused.
which, of course, he hasn't processed at all, so instead he deflects it.
instead, he blames ivy and her weird eyeball-looking plant for taking away his best friend / girlfriend.
i definitely don't think that bruce would trust in ivy enough at this point in the timeline for her to be involved, but that i agree that (other than this) he (i fell asleep right here lol so im back now that it's morning) would totally do everything he possibly could to help barbara.
as for barbara kean---i'm going to be so real with you, i've been specifically not actually watching the series finale so i can stay on-track with bruce's line of thinking, so when i heard she got shot i honestly thought she died. i just checked last night and found out she got shot in the leg. so yeah, she's dead in this au. sorry guys 😭😭😭😭😭
i'm probably gonna go more in depth about this in the story, esp since i already thought she died LOL
so basically i'm giving babs extra childhood trauma (going the jim and bruce route with that), which honestly kinda fits because of the whole generational hero thing that jim and bruce kinda have going on (bruce's and jim's dads, jim passes it on to bruce, bruce passes it on to his kids, they both pass it on to babs).
more on that in the actual story LOL. i never really pictured barbara kean as working in the canon batfam universe anyway (just because penguin kinda has her niche). since in batfam canon it always seemed like she was at least primarily living with her dad, whereas barbara lee from gotham seems to be living primarily with her mom, and the only time i can see this changing is if something happened to her mom.
partially, i also think that babs herself had some sway in the whole not-going-to-ivy thing. barbara isn't a damsel in distress, and she likely wouldn't like bruce overstepping like that and just assuming that she wants to be cured just because selina did (not that she knew about selina being temporarily paralyzed, unless her dad told her). barbara doesn't see herself as any less of a person for her disabilty (which is good of course! though it took a little while for her to get used to everything and truly accept it) so she basically tells bruce to not get involved with any magic stuff for her.
the selina-barbara parallel is kinda crazy tho. i'm definitely gonna have to explore that in my fic (how bruce feels about it, selina, and babs of course).
bruce majorly spiraled after jason's death, so honestly i think that his mindset just wasn't in the best spot and that he wasn't doing okay mentally at all. honestly, he might have gone back to his old alcohol habits from his brucie phase (yes i know in gotham it's spelled brucey but i hate that) like some people headcanon.
basically, i don't really want to change any of the existing batfam canon as much as i can (like retconning barbara to have been cured, idk i just don't like that) and also i feel like bruce would never trust any of those people to be close to any of his loved ones haha.

I saw this post a couple days ago (go check it out, it's such a cute design!!) where they used DALL-E to generate Cookie Run design images and then made a final OC design based on those. I've been wanting to design more Cookie Run OCs so it seemed like a very fun challenge to undertake!
This is my first attempt at it. Her name is Wyvern Cookie, and she's an Epic cookie! She's sassy, smug, outspoken, and a huuuuge attention-seeker. She's a traveler and likes to collect shiny things; her favorite objects are ones that make noise, like bells and whistles! She can turn her arms into dragon wings. I'm not sure what type she'd be in Kingdom, maybe Charge or Magic? Who knows :P
I'm not a big fan of what I ended up doing for her outfit (outside of the cloak) or her hair, so I'll probably do a second pass at her design someday. Until then, more OC designs coming soon because this was a blast to do!!

i don't really know how to phrase it, but i think they just. clicked? i totally get what you mean about the shift in their relationship - the first time i saw the lip balm scene i was literally (:0 they are definitely a lot closer and comfortable with each other then, than they were before.
i'd like to think what happened between them was soft and subtle? like, i definitely believe they had moments like what happened at the beach, and the fact that they were within close proximity of each other almost 24/7 kinda adds to this.
knowing my dramatic ass, i'd love for there to have been some sort of angst or drama and then comfort in those four months which resulted them in becoming closer... buuuut with what happened when viktor decided to accidentally shatter yuuri's heart? [ep7]
it's more than likely that didn't happen - because of how viktor clearly hadn't ever seen this side of yuuri before (the anxiety, the breakdown),, at least close up,,, he literally did not know how to calm yuuri down:
and then when yuuri reacted and started crying, he just. stopped functioning and do not know what to do but like multiplied by four:
this was a huuuuge milestone for them i think: in terms of soon further establishing who they were to each other and what they wanted from whatever it was they had between them (a friendship? a relationship? something in between?).
so with what i said before, i think it was definitely some sort of soft moment between them or more likely, several! maybe they played 21 truths, maybe they ended up having that little sleepover yuuri owed viktor, maybe one of them cooked for the other - it could've been anything!
but. but. i have a theory.

this was in the credits of episode 1 right? the triplets posted this and it was accompanied by a load of other posts from some of the other characters social media accounts. other examples:

This right here. it tells us that none of the posts are in any sort of chronological order, or whatever. none of it is ordered or simply out there in the credits to make sense (time-wise anyway). there are no dates to accompany the posts anyway, and the caption itself- what time, viktor? when was this? it might've been out there in the first episode but that's clearly not when it happened - they've only just met (disregarding sochi rip) and haven't spent that much time together. why be so reminiscent?
so coming back to this picture, it could've happened at any point in the yoi timeline - tho i'm not sure where (id like to think this happened at hasetsu castle but there's no indication, the glowing light could be a fire? and i don't know where that came from and the windows in the back look different to the ones i've seen in the castle so)
anyway, there is definitely something significant about it. because not only is the first implication of any true, meaningful intimacy between viktor and yuuri (as shown in the soft lighting/glow, the look in viktors eyes, how calm and relaxed yuuri seems - they look so vulnerable) we ever get in the series (apart from viktors behaviour of course but that doesn't make sense until episode 10, and of course that time flies so fast post, which popped up one or two posts just before this one),,,, but also the fact that it was literally the closing scene of the episode. it is important. it has to be.

Unfortunately a bit embarrassed, even though the irl people who know have always been really nice and supportive about it. I think it's the Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known because I am proud of what I've written but as soon as I find out an irl friend has read one of my fics I want to curl up and die lmao

I can't believe you want actual introspection on this that's so cruel. A Full Answer I will give you, though, because you asked for it.

I do think it was a perfect storm of inspiration, motivation, and time. I've written the equivalent of fic in my head for a decade - my daydreams are really text based, more-so than action/image based as I'll think of the action happening but narrate it as it happens (does that make sense?) I just never actually wrote any of it down, it stayed in my head to replay and play with. In July? August? of 2020 I watched the Umbrella Academy for the first time and was pulled right in, did my usual rewatching and fanfic reading. I think what made this time different, though, is that I had a lot of time on my hands to do my mental "fic"-writing. My job is very manual based so I'm free to think all day. I work by myself because of covid precautions, the only person in my little building, so no other person to talk with or distract me from it. I'd come home to my apartment I live alone in. Rinse and repeat while I just kept stewing on TUA.
The first idea I had where I had the thought of "oh, I could actually write this" was an inspired interview with Allison and then Five, structured like a magazine interview, to explain his return. I was really smitten with that idea, was having a lot of fun thinking about it, and no one else had written anything like it despite me wanting to read it. So, when I got home from work that night, I booted up Word and started doing just that.
And you know what? It was super fun. So I kept poking. I work limited hours because of work-place covid precautions, too, so I also had a lot of time to write. I wrote some more. Started some other little WIPs, started what has become Joining Together. Went on a walk after Thanksgiving to look at Christmas lights, feeling lonely and sorry for myself because I wasn't going to see any family for the holidays, and thought up Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. I was so pleased with how that one came out that I did the unthinkable and posted it on AO3 before I could psych myself out - and proceeded to obsess over every single hit it got.
And you all! You all were so goshdarn nice, so goshdarn supportive of my little trial, that I went and wrote another little thing, a companion to the first, and shared that, too (Faithful Friends Who Are Dear To Us). Lo and behold, you all were really nice about that one too. Third times the charm and on a night when I couldn't sleep, I thought about Five being up and drunk and Luther stuck trying to get him to bed, I took some notes, finally found some sleep, and wrote Lonely Drunk when I woke up the next day. And I've been truly hooked on the joy of sharing my silly little writing ever since.
How things got insane, how I got to be a person who wrote almost half a million words in one year, I don't know. I ask myself that, too. Lots of time to be writing is number one. Good friends who motivate me and let me ramble at them with new ideas and snips is number two. An audience who is so supportive and wonderfully vocal to make this more social than just me by myself writing for me (although I am my target audience) is a huuuuge bonus.
This is a really rambly way to say - it was fun. I had time to fill, needed a hobby, had had ideas floating around my head - just waiting to be put to paper - for years, and needed a way to connect with people while working and living alone in the middle of a pandemic. And writing fic somehow happened to hit the perfect niche of all of those things. It's all been so unexpected and I've gotten to write things I never dreamed I'd write, find catharsis and so much joy - it's been a wild ride. Can't wait to see where it takes me next.

anyway at first I hesitated before reblogging, like "am I enabling Lucy to ask for all of them? is it wise to give her all this power?"
8) uuuh this is already hard but I think lineart and sketching! like, in general. I just feel like my drawings are more expressive when only in rough form, more dynamic. If I have to choose tho I'd say hair and sometimes hands (I'm weird that way)
9) since I'm quite content with my lineart, the most of problems come with coloring, especially color painting. thats the part I'd loved having someone teaching me the most. 90% of my art is self taught and I managed to learn anatomy and proportions through experiments, books and other artists speedpaints but man. color theory, shading, lights are hard. also my pc works against me bc its screen makes everything a bit lighter and bluer than ANY other device known to man
another thing I'd love to understand better are backgrounds. architecture school taught me (half assedly) perspective and composition, but often when I draw i try to use complex scenery to get used to doing it digitally and not with 3d softwares. those are also the drawings I end up not posting because I'm not satisfied with ;-;
14) uuh I'm not sure how to answer this one. up until I was 14/15 I really liked making realistic portraits and drawing animals, but then I went through a loooong art block where I hated everyone of my drawings, so to improve i started copying other people's art, screenshots and fanarts. after a while I was so unsure about what to draw that I thought I forgot how to draw original things.
just recently, like 2 years ago, I started watching jojo, and its artstyle and colors were so weird, and the fanarts so beautiful, I started trying things on my own, bought a thick sketchbook and started filling it with drawings that progressively were more personal and I decided than at the end of the sketchbook i would have bought a graphic tablet. and since then, I've been fighting with colors lmao
I don't always feel inspired, sometimes it's really frustrating and it feels pointless, but I think right now it's one of my happier periods, artistically speaking (and you and the things you write and your reactions have a huuuuge part in it, you have no idea)
16) if the most fun is composition, sketching and lineart, the most daunting is color painting. I love finding shades that go well together, but sometimes it is stressing, because I feel like I'm ruining the vibes of the sketch and the painting is completely different from how I imagined it :/ and also for all the reasons above, like, yk, my asshole of a pc.
18) a big big dream (not really a project) is to use illustration experience for architecture, or architecture knowledge to work in illustrated books, animated series or fantasy/sci fi movies backgrounds, but it's something that's still very abstract in my mind.
the more concrete project you already know about obv, and it's one of the things I'm more excited about, is collabing with you for your next big project!
basically, for everyone not aware, I'm going to illustrate Lucy's next long wip, a jujutsu kaisen gang au, satoru's prequel story of her oneshot rabid dreams, and I'm so excited about it that as soon as it's out I'm never going to shut up about it >:3

Okay, imagine Buck and Eddie doing an escape room on their own, Eddie with Christopher one day then Buck with Albert some time later. They both solve the rooms in a timely manner (Buck solving the clues slightly faster than Eddie, much to Eddie's annoyance), and brag about it to the 118 crew. So one day, they decide to have a friendly competition with each other to see who can solve the clues the fastest.
Bobby and Athena solve theirs fairly quickly. Hen and Karen, Maddie and Chimney follow soon after, and they patiently wait for Buck and Eddie to finish. But the minutes tick by and still no Buck and Eddie.
Eventually the others ask the status of Eddie and Buck's progress and are shocked to find they're still on the first puzzle. They're not arguing, there's no tension, they just can't solve it and are refusing hints.
They leave them to it and place friendly bets as to see if they'll solve the rooms or be kicked out when the building closes.
...I saw those posts about Buck and Eddie being brilliant on their own but when put together, they share a single brain cell and I got curious and wondered how long it'd take them to solve the escape rooms. What do you think?
This is *chef’s kiss* because yes, let’s never forget that those two smart guys, when left unattended together, come up with such things as using brute force on Maddie’s door to get the couch into her house rather than just... move the pizza boxes away. But I’m ngl, I totally was expecting the team to find them kissing in that escape room. After all, why is it that all of those good brain cells they do have (and that we’ve seen in action countless times) disappear when they’re left to their own devices, just the two of them? I’m thinking it might include a rush of blood southwards, if you catch my drift. ;) The braincells are still there, but they’re getting zero oxygen over all the pining and thirsting they do when it comes to the other guy. Novak is a bit of a huge deal in Serbia (I know, shocking) and every evening and morning we are being updated on his situation by various people of varying expertise and level of expertise. According to them what Australia (well, it's minister of immigration) can do is imprison/deport him for circling he hasn't been to any other countries in one of papers, or because they decide he is a danger for society. Honestly I really hope that doesn't happen, and I don't think that they will do that in the middle of tournament (so if they do anything it should be soon) because that would be just so bad. All in all I hope Australia just drops him and starts doing some damage control, for example securing better conditions for other refugees, I think that would be a better look than going to further persue Novak. As for him and his positive test, that's really not the issue of Australia. It's our issue, and we should be the ones handling it. The test probably isn't fake, since he was at basketball game taking pictures with folks, after which many people contracted Corona (one of players he took pictures with as well), and since he does get tested a lot anyway I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. Either way, it's issue for Serbian government and Serbian government alone, as it all happened here, not in Australia, not in Spain. Here. But since he's shaken enough hands and taken enough pictures (and also since he's an ICON a LEGEND a man almost bigger than this country) unless he himself goes out and says "Yea guys I fucked up I should suffer the consequences" nothing will happen. Knowing him, it's not unlikely that he does say the words above.
But really, what I wish for more than anything is for there to be some definite decision so that we can all go on with our lives. I'm really tired of listening about this for days before bed and once I wake up and during lunch and also as I check Instagram. Especially since for days now there hasn't been anything new to say.
The anon with Serbian news here. I forgot to add I'd appreciate it if this also affected some changes within his team. Maybe not changing the people per se, but making them more alert. It was his agent who filled out his papers and circled that no. It was his pr team who didn't electroshock him out of idea of posting anything on his socials (I'm kidding about electroshocks, but they should've seen this coming and told him not to post anything under any circumstances. He is impulsive but he's not an idiot If he was warned properly against taking that action he wouldn't have done it). So yeah that would be nice if you ask me

I agree with the team changes!!!! Federer/Nadal may say the wrong thing one or twice but their PR teams polish everything they do just like that. Remember when Rafa re Naomi's withdrawal from RG said something like 'we should be prepared to deal with situations like this because journalists help us by making us popular' or something like that? You don't, right? Exactly.
I think he's probably difficult (impulsive as you put it) to work with, like he has a thought or an opinion and he feels the necessity to say it out loud. (And I believe that's why we like him - he's flawed but 'real', not a programmed robot to say what you want to hear. And he's an idiot for that very same reason!) I also think he should try and completely keep his family off from all official business. Like Toni Nadal, we associate him with Rafa but we know his words do not reflect Rafa's thoughts. You can't expect a casual tennis fan or just anyone who kept up with the recent news to disassociate Srdjan's comments with Nole's views.
I expect him to pick up the refugee cause post-Australian open. Poking a government you're highly at odds with right now is risky enough lmao. It would be really disappoiting if he doesn't. I imagine right now he'll go with the 'I'm grateful I'm allowed to play and I regret my decisions' route because it's the safest one. It's just so unfortunate this is the slam he's most successful at and also with the most crowd support.

Hello lovelies,
I guess it’s finally time I make a ‘Life Update’ post. So here it is! And be warned, I’m gunna get a little personal in this, so if that isn’t your thing, I recommend you don’t read this!
My son’s father and I split back in June, and I fully moved from his house Sept 1st. But was living in a Women’s Transition home for the entire month of September. In just 30 days, I signed up and passed a small course, and was hired by the company that did the training 2 days after my ‘graduation’. I also managed to find, view and lock down a place for myself and my son half way through September, and moved in October 1st.
We both lived with absolutely no furniture or house goods for 9 whole ass days, minus the few things I bought to get us by till our stuff arrived.
The 9th of October was a dang mess, all my stuff arrived and between myself and 2 dear friends, we women powered everything up to my new 6th floor apartment. It was a lot, to say the least.
I had my new place fully unpacked within a day, but still had no beds, couch or dressers at that point. But my new couch arrived yesterday, and our beds and dressers arrive tomorrow! Yay! Except also, fuck! Because I’m so sore and exhausted from these last 6 weeks, that I just want everything to be done already. But only a little more to go now! Thank goodness for that.
I managed to find and lock down daycare for my son, HE STARTS TOMORROW! I’m so excited and scared for that, I was a stay at home mom for the last 4 years, so this is a new experience for the both of us. Wish us luck! 🤞🏻
Being a newly single mom is exhausting but so so rewarding too. I give mad props to the women out there who have been going it alone from the start. This shit is hard, man. I bow to you all that are walking this road along with me, you are so damn strong. Don’t ever forget it. Kids are freaking exhausting, man. But also so so wonderful.
Life is finally leveling out now, everything has either fallen into place, or will soon. This is why I’ve been pretty MIA as of late, life has just been crazy, scary and exhausting lately. And I just haven’t had it in me to write anything due to everything going on.
But I’m here to tell ya, I won’t be MIA for much longer! A couple more weeks and I’ll be back and posting. I have been dyyyying to continue Beauty and the Beast, and have had a few other really fun and crazy story ideas in the last few weeks for when BatB is finished off. So stay tuned for that!
Okay, I’m going to end this here, I will be putting my tiny Violin away now for another few weeks. 🤣 but basically, I just wanted to fill y’all in on where my life is currently and tell y’all that I miss you guys so dang much and can not wait to get back to posting and interacting with you all again! Oh, and I’ll end this off by showing y’all a few pictures of my new place! Because well, I’m fucking in love. Coming home to this place everyday is freaking amazing, and puts a smile on my face every dang day. So, without further ado, here’s my new place, in all the different stages it’s been through over the last 3 weeks!
Oh! And one photo of me in my new glasses, that were also a thing I finally accompished in September. Only been needing glasses since I was a teen! 🤣 10 years later, and I finally own my first pair! (Okay, I lied, there are actually two photos, but only because I didn’t want my face to be freaking huuuuge on this post! 🤣🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤓 sorry, not sorry!)
