im just thinking what if mike schmidt is the son of the movie's equivalent of henry emily. i had this thought on the way home from the movie at like. 10 pm so at the time it was incoherrent, but im going to expand on it here.
point 1- garrett played a similar role to charlie emily, in that despite being watched over they were both killed by william afton.
p2- in the flashbacks, its very obvious that the entire family is in a place away from society. they're literally in a forest. it wouldn't make sense for william of all people to be there if he wasn't close to the family.
p3- the books and the game mirror eachother, so there is a chance that schmidt could be another fake name, one william recognized because, again, he was a family friend.
p4-what happens when your kid goes missing? idk probaly witness protection or an urge to seperate yourself from the incident, both reasons for the name change.
p5-(kinds joke reason) abby rhymes with charlie and looks similar to her (brown hair, brown eyes)
p6-i argue that abby also took on the role of the puppet/charlie at the end of the movie. she didn't necessarily give them life, not like what was done in the game, she shoeed them how they died. she reminded the children of the life they had before, and of who really took it. by doing that, in a way, she gave them that life back. she gave them their real personality back, one not influenced by william. she cut them from his influence, she gave them the gift (the picture) and it gave them life (their memories)
p7- in the movie, mike says his father 'couldnt deal with it' and left after his mother died. yk what that sounds similar to? book henry emily killing himself in despair. maybe mike's dad is alive maybe he's dead, we dont know. but it is similar enough, an act of completely removing himself from the equation.
p8-book henry has a sister named jen, yk what name that sounds like? jane. who was mike and abby's aunt, and we dont know which parent she was related to.
p9-'but wouldn't mike know about the pizzaria if william was a family friend?' honestly, probably. but theres also a high chance that he wouldnt. if the family lived in nebraska, (which im pretty sure they did) they wouldn't have a need to go to utah, not even for a friend's restaurant. sure, he might know that his dad's friend had a restaurant, but not that it had animatronics or anything. the family probaly moved to utah after garrett's disappearance and after freddy's closed down.
p10-'wouldn't mike know vanessa? theyre similar in age' if they didnt live in the same state, probaly not. william in the movie was a, suprise suprise, shitty father, even foregoing the stabbing of his kid. i doubt hed care enough to take her with him on like. a short out of state trip.
p11(edit)- in the books aunt jane was killed by evil charlie to get to charlie, yk what that sounds like? the animatronics killing aunt jen to get to charlie
p12(edit)-the words at the end of the movie say 'come find me' and the music playong at the end is the puppets song so i think garrett is the puppet which is. again. an emily thing

OKAY SO I've gotten two asks about my Noisette cosplay AND THANK YOU SM FOR THE KIND WORDS !!!!!!!! It was sm fun to make this cos, so I will gladly explain everything I did in hopes that it might help someone else!! also both anons please share your cosplays with me when theyre done i would love to see them....
I've tried to link everything where I can, where I got stuff etc... I only rarely cosplay (although I am thinking of going as the noise in May Comiccon) and this was my biggest ever project so!! It's very trial-and-error! But without further ado
KATES EXTENSIVE(ish) GUIDE TO COSPLAYING NOISETTE FROM THE HIT GAME PIZZA TOWER!!!!!!! (warning its kinda long)
THE HAT
Okay i’m gonna be real my mum helped me so much she basically did all the sewing for me. Sewing is the fucking bane of my existence I hate doing it so much so we planned it out together and she basically executed it. Props to her for that she’s so real… She also wrote down what she did!! So i’ll just paste and colour that in for you to read!!
“The black material (seen in the above image) was originally a beanie hat that was picked apart to use as a template…
This was game changing basically. We had experimented with making the hat from scratch but it was far too difficult and we were both too stupid so we just unstitched a pre-existing hat and stole the template. The hat we cut up was one we had lying around for years so i cannot tell you where to get one from, but any beanie that is stitched together will work i guess! So I would recommend finding a hat that fits you snugly and doing the same thing!
…and the wool fabric that was utilised gave the finished product was stiff enough to be structurally sound.
I just got this from my local fabric shop, I would recommend wool over something like felt because it’s super sturdy and I was pulling on my mask a LOT.
Once sewn together, I attached a stiff card facemask to the front to help provide some structure, and to locate where the eye holes should be cut.
I think this picture shows it pretty well, my mum was able to curve the shape of the fabric to fit a pre-existing mask- we got ours from Hobbycraft, just one of those stringed white template masks yknow. We cut off the string, made the eyeholes a little bigger and just stuck it straight on!! I should mention this was pretty much all done with a sewing machine as well!
After that, we made two ears from a paper pattern, stuffed them and put some wire inside to allow them to be positioned, before sewing them onto this headband, which was then sewn into the hat. The bottom of each ear was also stitched to the crown to give it some additional stability and to secure the headband correctly in position (having fitted it on the wearer).
Yeah it was actually less of a mask and more of a headband!! That was what gave it most of the support and meant the ears would stay up, I’m not sure how it would work without it!! The ears were the only part that I could actually help with LMAO i just freehanded a little template, stuffed it, and then put in some modelling wire to make them able to be posed :)
Then it was a lot of hand sewing, and glueing the eyeholes to the mask to create a cohesive look.
AND YEAH that’s pretty much all it was! I also attached some little felt eyelashes to add to it as well. Honestly I could never come up with a step-by-step guide for the process because it was such a trial and error thing (i’d made two test-hats before we even came up with the method) but it was so fun!!
I would 100% recommend if you want the ears to stay UP to stuff them AS MUCH AS U CAN and/or put wire in them!! :) I also made some cute little bows to clip into my wig in the same fabric to make it more cohesive!! I also put a bow (and a bunny tail heheh) on the back of the dress too!!
THE DRESS
Super simple! I just found one online (okay for some reason the link has been taken off of the website, but just look up "overall dress" on google shopping and you will 100% find something super cute)- I made sure to buy the dress first, and then take it to the fabric shop to try and colourmatch the mask fabric as best as I could. Then it was just buying some big ol buttons off eBay and sewing them on!! (I could actually do that bit by myself, I'm bad at sewing but im not THAT bad)
EVERYTHING ELSE
Cute patterned knee-high socks cuz shes cute like that. Leg warmers, I think I got them both off of Amazon... Converse I got from Depop and I had wanted to buy a pair anyway so I was super stoked to get them cheap!! I chose converse over a pair of high-heels or Mary Janes just for comfort reasons, I was walking around loads at the con so... Everything else apart from the shirt was from Amazon or just. Somewhere online(I have no idea where to get fancy white gloves LOL) and the shirt was from Depop as well! I liked how frilly it was, re: Noisette is cute like that!!
oh yeah and the wig. I hate wigs it was awful. I have no idea how to style them. underneath the hat was the most awful bowl cut ever I just. It wasn't my best moment. Dont ask me about wigs please .
Also I should mention I got this bag for the cosplay (which I now use all the time cuz its so cute) because i needed space to store shit and I wanted something on-brand with her cafe... this isnt the exact link I used but I just got it off of ebay :P
PROPS
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of WIP pictures of my props but they were pretty simple to make!! The coffee cup was literally just spraypainting over a reusable coffee cup and using POSCA pen to draw on the front! Fun fact the cup says "To Peppino" because originally my boyfriend was gonna go with me as Peppino before the Cruetly Squad brainrot got to him so. YEA
And the tip jar was also pretty simple, I just painted on the lid a plastic jar (can't be glass, not allowed at ComicCon) and cut out a bit of vinyl to work as the sign. The cobweb was just hot-glued 3D printer filament, and the spider was made with foam modelling clay (literally the best thing ever if you're making small models like that) and i stuck him to the lid of the jar with Kandi string so he'd bounce around :]
AND I THINK THATS IT!! i may as well post a pic of the full cosplay since I dont think many people would have made it this far.... But I think it turned out pretty cool!! I got recognised a few times as well which was amazing!! (cropped out my bf cuz idk if he wants his face on tumblr gfhhfg)

TIPS ON WRITING A HORROR BOOK (by me🤫)
disclaimer i am not a professional and this was for an english assignment i did in like 30 mins
quick cw for BRIEF mentions of some more deeper real life topics, nothing major though, and they wont be touched on deeply, just a brief mention. And obviously this will touch on horror themes.
A curious but brave protagonist, who is usually easily scared, alot of times hides under a tough exterior maybe. Ive seen that alot of times writers make the main character quite dumb, and maybe a little unaware of danger, but the main character can honestly be anything, these are just common tropes.
Usually, other characters, especially friends who experience the same as the protagonist, usually at the start of the story no one believes the protagonist when theyre yelling about seeing a ghost or something.
A monster, murderer, or just about any antagonist, as long as it's clear that the character is the "scary" one. Maybe not even scary, just “weird” or “creepy”, even ugly! Or maybe you can make it something else than any of those, surprise the reader maybe, like what if the antagonist is cute? Maybe even sexy? Let your imagination go free, the more creative the better.
A dark and misty setting, usually also related to something old and abandoned, often dirty as well. The main place should have some story, what happened? How did it happen? WHEN did it happen? Who caused it? Its good to start it out as more vague and unveil the story as the story goes.
Plot, come up with a good plot and story, if the story is about a ghost haunting a house, come up with why? Why does the ghost do this? Who is this ghost? What does it do? Ask yourself questions, imagine maybe that youre being interviewed about the story.
Tragedy, horror stories always involve something tragic, small or big. There is usually also drama or conflicts, also a lot of disloyalty and betrayals, such as when the protagonist's friends don't believe him and leave him alone with ghosts for example, or maybe one of the side characters see something, but the protagonist doesnt believe them.
Surprising scenes that the reader can easily guess are quite basic and ordinary in horror books, like for example the protagonist opening a door slowly and a monster coming out and attacking them, also if it involves a murderer chase scenes are quite common, hiding scene where the protag and their friends are hiding from a monster, the basic tropes are endless, but also be sure to add uniqueness, some never done before or rare things, maybe mix and mash these basic and rare scenes?
Chilling writing, make the reader sink into the story and feel what the protagonist and other characters feel. Write it in detail with alot of adjectives, maybe it reminds them of something that happened when they were a child, or their friend, family, anything, since it explores the character on a more deeper level.
Interesting adjectives, of course, everyone always uses "scary" or "horrifying," but expand a little, it's pretty boring if the same adjectives are used all the time, you can even search for good adjectives on Google, my favorites are distressing, dismal, ghastly, chilling, blood-curdling, and haunting/hauntingly, but those are just a few examples from a wide range of adjectives, and as i explained, the less of those more common in horror tropes the better, maybe the ghost is…enticing?
In horror stories, the book progresses to be more and more distressing, keeping the reader interested, but more in a more thrill seeking way, like how alot of people try out bungee jumping, or more on a darker note, like how people do drugs, seeking the thrill. Also if your book is more on the disgusting morbid horror side, the readers might be more morbidly curious, like how when you read a trigger/content warning for something, but youre still curious, and on a darker note, morbid curiosity and maybe even thrill seeking make people go on the dark web, or watching gore. Humans are and will forever be curious animals.
If you want your horror book to be REALLY dark, you can include darker and more traumatic topics, such as murder, torture, bullying, rape, violence, mental illnesses, harassment, assault and so on. Remember to handle things properly, not make them seem in a positive light or romanticise these topics, dark fiction is fine as long as its handled well and done properly, remember do some research, or if you yourself have experienced something, you can take inspiration from it and write your feelings for the protagonist or any character, it also keeps readers interested and empathetic, some may even relate if they've experienced something.
Symbolism, not really a “must have” but its great to add symbolism, since as we know it there are people who WILL read the book like it depends on their life, its great to do research of what something could mean before adding it, also if you wanna go even MORE deeper you can make the characters have names that mean something, like their personality, their trauma, what will happen, etc.
Speaking of this, you can add things and scenes to the story that traumatize or damage the character, and if you're going to make the book long or have many series, how this has affected the character? Have they healed? How long has it been? Have they gotten help? Like on the last part, remember to do research, or write from your own experience.
The story usually ends with a good ending, where they defeat the evil or something, but it's also good to write stories that end badly, or don't end? Maybe the monster comes back? If you're making a multi-series book, maybe you can end the first book a bit uncertain or a cliff-hanger, making readers bite their nails thinking and even making theories on "what happens next?”
Some of my favorite additions on horror media, not must haves.
Sometimes writers make readers empathize and sympathize with the monster, murderer, or any antagonist of the book. Usually, the villain has a reason to be evil and do what he does, no one is born crazy, except if you're writing some horror sci-fi, then it might work. This doesn't have to be clear right away, and if you're making a multi-series book, maybe it can be revealed later in the story, or maybe theres small hints and mentions of it scattered everywhere and the reader has to basically piece it together like a puzzle piece?
Another thing I like but isn't necessary in horror books is when the protagonist is actually the bad guy, and when the book is written so that the reader doesn't know what's going on, they're just told what's happening as if they were there,
Also i love it when writers add other characters' thoughts, what are they thinking, what are they plotting or what do they know or feel. It explores other characters more deeply other than the protagonist, making them more meaningful and more interesting, easier to relate or attach to. I kind of hate it how usually in horror books side characters are just plain npcs with only a few traits.

No bc Mike getting vecna'd is such a good idea if byler endgame is the goal. Like his regret/shame would be the fact that he can't say ily to his gf and the fact that he's in love w his best friend but repressing it. Then will could confess and this would remove some of that shame thus possibly saving him?? Cause people saying will gets cursed has me wondering what his regret would be (other than his love for Mike, which he seems to be relatively accepting of, whereas Mike (if he is in love w will) is repressing it much more and prob thinks it will hurt el whom he really cares about)
(this got a bit longer than i first wanted, but i have too many delusional theories 💖)
exactly, i see this more even as a great tool for their respective character developments than even for the ship itself, but ofc that would be best outcome if this all happened.
in my opinion if will gets vecna'd it would just be too similar to what hes already been through before, it would be unnecessary repeating. what we need is to see will have some connection to the upside down, that will help by the end to defeat vecna or whoever else in s5.
meanwhile it would be much more interesting to see this with mike. bc overall its a bit more difficult to see what hes really thinking, if we only see the surface level emotions.
first, he cares about all his friends beyond anything. and while will and el and max went through such trauma that was very visible, (and theyre still dealing with that, we still dont know much how mike is dealing with anything.
we only see how he changes depending on whos around him and how they interact together (dustin and lucas, eddie, will, el, his family - i feel he acts very different around each of them)
In season one his best friend went missing, was pressumed dead and had a funeral - mike thought, even for a while, he lost him permanently.
In that time el appeared and was helping find will, his friends suddenly think he likes her more than a friend (its whats normal, right? Ofc he should like her before he even knows himself...)
He fights with lucas about el in s1, and one of the things he said (i cant remember exactly now) is how he feels guilty they fought about it, "if only he could have said something more, something better, its my fault"
i think he said something similar in different situations during the first three seasons, and then in s4, when hes opening up to will about this, he tells him similar thing twice "if only i explained myself better, i should have said something more to el, do something better"
from that i get the feeling hes always trying to do not just the best he can, but whats expected of him. and when he finds he doesnt have the power to stop something, or physically cannot make himself say something thats probably not true, he blames himself afterwards.
S3 is such rollercoaster for him, hes with el but cant be with el bc hopper, and then cant say what he feels - or maybe he doesnt know whats hes supposed to feel. And then el and will are leaving. Two of his most important friends, and i think thats what made him all the more confused, bc what if he misses will more than el?
Why did the promise of will wanting only play d&d with mike made him smile so much, but then the kiss with el made him all the more confused?
theres two such contrasts in his personality, where one of his main beliefs is "friends dont lie" and he does as much as he can with honestly, but at the same time he pushes something inside him down and pretends it doesnt exist (his complicated feelings towards.. romance, lets say).
Back to the vecna theory - this is why i think if mike gets vecna'd it would add more perspective to his character and for us to see what all hes been going through in the past seasons.
Same as his feelings towards will, its been there building from s1.
It could be few flashbacks and memories telling the audience the scenes that already happened from mike's point of view, how he struggles at home,
how he regretted the words he said to will in s3 (its not my fault you dont like girls), bc it was more directed at himself than will, but he didnt realize that yet.
how finding eddie and playing in d&d club could mean hes slowly finding himself (and with d&d being like a connection will again, bc its something they both loved playing together).
And how all of this is so confusing, especially for their time in the 80s, and hes still trying his best, but slowly, more and more cant ignore that his heart wants something (someone) else than hes supposed to be with.
Its just all these things that will go either unnoticed and unmentioned in the series, which i think would be a shame, or it could be addressed in the way with vecna who would manipulate his fears and nightmares, and if others can save him (which im sure they would), he could start process it in a better way, more honest to himself as well to others. To accept himself, and by that also will's feelings (if he noticed those, which i dont think he did, i think will noticed mike's confused ones, if anything.)

In all serious tho, it really is annoying having some Teenager come in red faced and ready to come to blows about adults writing about characters that they too are probably fantasizing about. How'd you know about it if you weren't reading that same shit they were writing, you Lil shits lol
The rule about reading smut before you're of age is: Be anonymous and don't let the writer know you fuckin exist. Show some damn respect for boundaries because the authors you silently read from will close up shop and run.
I'm not gonna shame kids for reading NSFW because I was one of them, and realistically you cant stop kids from getting into shit theyre not allowed in. You can put in all the right precautions and theres still gonna be the dozen that get in anyway. Thats just the way it is.
But being an adult now, I'm aware what trouble it'll bring if a minor had been in contact with an adult who makes NSFW content. And if everyone just stayed in their lanes and let shit by, everything would run smoothly, but idk why kids nowadays are acting scandalized that people write smut about fictional characters now.
But this is just how I view things and not everyone will agree or think the same way.

not an aleheather stan but your post makes me intrigued. specifically the last line - "nuanced," "realistic," and "best." Nuanced, you kinda already covered - Heather uses the relationship to her advantage, whereas Alejandro ends up letting the relationship control his actions. OKAY, i sat on this for a few days bc im rewatching island and wanted to give a good response to the part about duncney. i hope this is what ur looking for.
aleheather is realistic as in it’s well developed over the course of the season, and they both have to grapple with wanting to date or wanting the money. i think aleheather represents that choice and the cognitive dissonance nicely, falling for each other when knowing you won’t be able to win if you do. theyre both really competitive too, they won’t be satisfied to just cooperate in the finale. they have to honestly win, but have to stay rivals to feel they have honestly won.
on alejandro specifically: he was bored of people. he didn’t see them as anything but things to be manipulated in his quest for the million. very first episode of world tour we specifically see he doesn’t see heather as a threat: “Compared to me, Heather’s a saint!”
But. She really fucking wasn’t. she was unexpected and an incredible competitor—alejandro felt seen and understood and most of all challenged by her in a way he wasn’t by anyone else. he found an equal, someone just as ruthless (so he thought) and good as him at winning. he fell head over heels with her, the first person he saw as an equal. she kept surprising him in the finale, too :-)
for why aleheather’s the best: because of that nuance and realism and consistency in their portrayal thru world tour.
TD has a big problem with consistency, but aleheather for an entire season develops in a realistic and nuanced way that we don’t see in other ships. neither duncney nor jashawn are given that same time to develop. duncney was just a one off thing—they didn’t know each other, and when they got to know each other, they hated each other. they have an interesting sort of opposites attract dynamic, but i can’t see them working out long term without a willingness to compromise that we saw from neither of them in-show.
jashawn is great! i love it a lot, and i love both endings of pahkitew, but they only had 13 episodes, and they were not spent well. they go through some classic romantic tropes of miscommunication on the zombie thing, a few hiccups, but the reason shawn doesn’t want to split the money with jasmine is because they don’t really know each other. great ship, and i really like them individually and together, but in the time we see them, theres no sense that it’s anything more than a budding relationship. it’s a new, fragile thing and they never fought or competed with each other like aleheather did.
competing isn’t necessary for a romance, obviously, but it adds a lot to it. by battling each other honestly and with their all, alejandro and heather learned the worst things about each other, faced serious betrayal, and loved each other in spite of it. their relationship is stronger and more rooted than most on tv, and clearly the most out of any total drama ship.
theres nothing unrealistic about aleheather’s development except for the reality tv show environment theyre in. theyre both clever and love to be challenged, and love that they found themselves on equal levels—true partners. their relationship stays fresh because of how they find ways to rival each other, but ultimately their core values align.

i saw ur reblog to my post and i just want to say yes, yes, yes a million times yes. i know a lot of ppl dont trust the duffers because theyre two Straight White Males, but i have so much faith because of the fact that they studied film! like these people spent years dedicating themselves to not only analyzing other peoples media and their subtext, but also studying HOW to do it. And if I know anything about film bros, its that they want their work to be treated as seriously as they treated films in school.
If theyre putting so many obvious (and not so obvious) references (in the closet at rinkomania is the most obvious one i can think of, but also the color coding and the microexpressions and set design), then they KNOW someones going to find them and piece their story together. its a love of the artform on both parts of the producers and the audience that drives the film community, and in turn, many people who ship byler. most of us are here because we love to analyze things, and we saw byler on the way, not the other way around. god i love this community
This! This exactly! We aren't people perusing every show for anything we can stretch to be proof of queerness. We're analyzers who analyzed the show and this ONE OF the things we found! (who aren't even all queer, analyzers just pick up the shit the creators are putting down).
It makes me so very happy whenever I see people respond to their doubt by diving deeper the way I do. As someone pursuing musical theatre and film, it means so much to me to be on both sides and give my appreciation and also see everyone else doing so. It's exactly that that you're saying with the Duffers! As someone in the field, giving that appreciation is like the golden rule for receiving it or even giving it to myself.
And with the Straight White Guy comments it's so hard to argue because in a general sense - they're not wrong, and it is no one's place to tell someone to put more trust in anyone, especially a large group that has a history, but I feel like this isn't so much straight guys writing about queer people as it is the same as the case with all of storytelling - they decided to tell a story with queer people in it. Which is one of the things I love so much. It's a story that isn't centred around queerness but rather the story of these people who happen to be queer but also doesn't erase the way their queerness impacts that story and accurately represents how that contextualizes this experience and motivates it differently.
Honestly, I think it's just two filmmakers - storytellers - choosing to tell a story that represents the world it's meant to reflect. Queer people don't have to be the only ones to tell stories with queer people in them - in fact, it's important that we aren't. This isn't so much them pandering to queer people for brownie points for including us or forgetting we exist because out of sight out of mind as it is just like the general audience breaking down their heteronormativity to see it, two guys who looked at the world and saw the world and put it onscreen and it includes diversity not so much because they consciously chose to add it but because unlike much other media, they didn't choose to exclude it. It's already there and they let it be, which is lovely and why it is so nice to see and why I made an entire post just dedicated to the beauty of queer people feeling like people in this story who exist inclusive of but outside of being queer too. And even paranormal shows have to reflect the real world. A story is dependent on what happens and who it happens to so the PEOPLE need to be realistic.

okay so this one was hard but honestly, for both of them, i think its queerness. ive realized that i do this and it absolutely fits them too. like if there are indicators that any stranger is queer they will instantly like them a little more than anyone else in the room. besides that though asdfghjk if any stranger has cool fashion, whether that be jewelry, a shirt, etc. theyll usually take note of that just bc its something theyre interested in
Who would they quote?
neither of them are really big on the shitty inspirational quotes, so realistically in the day-to-day itd be random tv show characters, lyrics, or comedians. and for bryce he also adds in random tiktoks that stick in his head. for jensen i assume he, like me, quotes john mulaney at least a few times a week, usually w "thats the same joke twice" and various other things (ik hes controversial but that man has cured multiple depressive episodes for me so i gotta take it where i can get it). for bryce i absolutely think he does the crazy? i was crazy once bit whenever the opportunity presents itself.
What could make them change their mind?
pftt each other? but anyway lol jensen is a facts and evidence person. he doesnt do as well when emotions are in the mix, and if theres undeniable, untampered evidence, that would change his mind pretty easily. though, there are people he has soft spots for. bryce, of course, but also people like liyah and his mom (especially his mom). hed be willing to throw evidence and facts to the wayside for them if he really needed to (again, his mom)
bryce is a little harder to convince. hes not stubborn, at least not as stubborn as jensen, but he would rather stick by the sides of people he knows and cares about than look at the facts (if they go against them). convincing him to change his mind is definitely the way to go, but it has to be from someone he trusts without a doubt

oh this one is hard. i think jensen is a really bad doom scroller. it tends to start with him looking into news or something hes interested in for a quick second, but it very quickly turns into an hour or more of just the worst shit imaginable, and a lot of the time its shit that can and/or will trigger his ocd
and bryce watches bluey. thats it.

jensens is wearing outside shoes in the house. if you wear outside shoes in his house you WILL be cleaning it up. he thinks its gross and rude and if he convinces himself youve brought in a disease that will kill him then thats totally unrelated to his ocd. he is happy to provide socks or youre more than welcome to leave a pair of inside shoes there, but dont wear your outside shoes into his house
bryce has a deep-seated dislike for anything that comes in the color yellow. he does not own one thing with yellow on it. he doesnt know why either, but if its in yellow, its almost a guarantee that will not like it

not the same anon but i wanna add to the alcohol thing. go out,have fun, do you but stas has posted herself out drinking and celebrating getting drunk,being hungover, and curing that hangover with more drinking. i dunno what’s happened to kat, it was probably already in her but she does a lot of this often now almost as if this were the go to choice of beverage. they both have posted themselves pregaming to go out and get drunk and one of them just posted a tiktok where both are holding 2 drinks each. Im honestly glad someone else pointed this out and noticed it too because most of the fandom seems to praise them and treat it like the anon said all cutesy and silly when its not.
I remember last year people blaming snc as a bad influence on the girls for drinking and look now. It wasnt snc it was them. the boys are working and theyre fine. these two are using this as a crutch. also how can you not feel emotionally,mentally, and even physically exhausted going out every night and doing this.sam legit quoted stas last year saying she rather drink than eat.
i'm gonna combine these two asks together since they are about the same thing. hope you don't mind.
this is kinda long so... i'm sorry about that.
so the last time i talked about this type of stuff/the last time i got asks about stas and kat drinking was back in 2021/22 and any time i made the same argument i'm gonna make now, i got chewed out bc ppl misinterpreted what i said and felt like i was minimizing alcoholism. as someone that has had family members on both sides have addiction issues with alcohol (along with other things), i'm not one to be blase about alcoholism. this is also not me shrugging off the real issue that stas and kat could have addiction problems.
however…. we don't know them. we only see what they post. and it's not impossible that they make it seem like they're drinking a lot when in actuality they might only be having one or two drinks. does that make what they're doing any better? no. i'm not making that argument. what i'm trying to say is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions when we don't know the full story. plus, you can't diagnosis someone via a couple stories and snapchat or two. that's just reality.
does that mean that them joking about being alcoholics is cool? no it's not. it's really dumb at the very least, and extremely dark at the most. my hope and my personal belief is that they are just partying a bunch and made some tasteless jokes. i remember when i was in college, basically the same age (if not younger) as them, and ppl around me would joke about being alcoholics. i didn't find it funny, but they did. and i'm gonna assume that it's the same thing with them. that it's not them casually telling their fanbase that they have addictions issues, but more "omg isn't it so funny how we drink every night when we party??"
i don't think this behavior is great, especially since a lot of snc's younger fans have drifted into being these two girls' fans. it's not cute to aspire to be drunkards in your early 20s. you wanna go out and have your fun, so be it. but be realistic about what your limit is. also, you don't have to hit your limit every night. you don't have to drink every night either.
but again, as i stated before, i don't think they actually have addiction issues. if they did, that's for them and ppl close to them who know them to discuss and figure out. not for us to speculate over a couple stories and snapchats. i don't pay attention to them enough to really know one way or the other, but regardless i think it's best to not assume something's wrong. if it is really that much of an issue to anyone reading this, maybe reach out to them somehow and tell them you're concerned. or if it's too triggering, which is totally understandable, just block them and move on.
i truly wish them the best, and i hope their fans know that excessive drinking is not good for you.

Does your mastectomy affect you physically in some bad way?
I'm not longer identifying as trans but i can't get over having breasts. I hate them with a burning passion, they're uncomfortable and useless and that's what pushed me into trans direction in the first place. I am still considering getting rid of them, or at least making them much much smaller but it's hard to find genuine and honest info about side effects...
Honestly go for the reduction if theyre bigger. i honestly wish i did that. i hated my breasts too but im sitting with this scarred up doohickey. like its fine when i have clothes on, i enjoy its flatness, but everything else about it feels so… arbitrary for lack of a better word. the skin is just kinda there. the nipples feel more like tattoos or stickers than actual nipples. i feel mishmashed. its weird
as for side effects you lose feeling all over your chest and your nipples. i only have feeling where my cleavage would have been. getting any feeling back is rare. your nipples have a risk of falling off post surgery (usually fine once youre done recovering). i have no feeling in my armpits aside from the occasional sharp pain. thats dulled with time. ive heard that the lack of the scar tissues flexibility it gets too tight for certain motions for some people. i dont have a limited range of motion, but i do feel that tightness. if any one of my detrans followers has any more info feel free to add on. also i think you can google things about cancer-related double mastectomies, its the same procedure (except if youre small enough to get smth like keyhole, idk a lot about that one)

fungus humongous but it’s their ACTUAL biggest fears: a ramble
first off , leo is the same. his fear of letting the team down ( and by association his brothers ) is very real and i love that they dived into that in this ep. i felt like they could’ve done the same amount of character development for the others too tho. or at least address it. like raph’s greatest fear is COCKROACHES ???? nah. there’s more angst to b had here. so here we go
going by order of who gets infected first, the first one on the chopping board is raph. i get that his fear of cockroaches is BIG, but i don’t think that’s his BIGGEST. that’s an irrational fear, not one that plagues his day-to-day life
taking some inspo from rise raph , i think he has a DEEP anxiety of losing his brothers. Separation anxiety ahoy ! so i think it would’ve been better if his hallucination was based more on that. keeping the cockroaches would work actually ! like he sees everyone as cockroaches and freaks out , but on top of that , he’s all alone. the people he loves r gone and he doesn’t know where they r bc all he sees r giant bugs. so it’s a wombo combo. having him become increasingly more angry towards these “ cockroaches “ is also an idea. he gets so worked up when he doesn’t know how his brothers r doing and if theyr ok, so he takes it out on the only thing in front of him. poor guy
next is donnie. of course it’s april. we all saw it coming. siiigh. i do think it’s interesting how he begins to cover his ears and shout “ i don’t wana hear any more ! “ so i think we could expand on that
his biggest fear isn’t APRIL hating him, it’s ppl that he ADMIRES hating him. having this fear expressed verbally is especially a nightmare for him. there’s no leeway when someone straight up says they hate u yknow ? so boom , he freaks out. he’d begin pleading to everyone , hoping that they’d forgive him for being himself. he doesn’t want the ppl he respects to look down on him. very much “ PLEASE like me , i’ll change my whole personality JUST so u can like me “ type beat. maybe even “ just lie to me and say that u like me so it doesn’t hurt “ type rhythm
it’s mikey time ( b prepared hes my fav ). this is the one i’m real disappointed in. like i get his whole thing is being scared of smth “ stupid “ but … cmon. im the president of the take mikey seriously club and i will NOT stand 4 this !!!!!
he’s constantly being looked down upon and treated like a little kid , never being taken seriously bc he’s “ the dumb one ,” being made fun of 24/7 , etc. i don’t think mikey is immune to this , i think he’s just good at hiding his true feelings. without a doubt , it bothers him , but he doesn’t ever bring it up bc he doesn’t think his feelings matter as much as anyone else’s. so having that b the focus would b neat instead of funni comic book monster he scare mikey haha teehee. how would this b achieved ? well , he’s used to everyone putting him down , so having a donnie hallucination situation ( i’m a lyrical genius ) wouldn’t work. i think the only way this could b represented is by honing in on mikey’s self esteem. have smth that rlly digs the nail in that he’s not that important in his eyes. honestly i don’t think he needs to hallucinate for this , bc him trying to help out his brothers and failing no matter what he does would b enough. maybe those thoughts just get worse as he fails to snap everyone out of the trance theyr in. i think taking that approach would b rlly cool !
in conclusion i have many thoughts and none of them r normal ( btw didnt add casey n april bc tbh i do not think abt them SRRY GUYS )

was an incredibly quiet, but clingy baby- never wailed unless he was in pain or thought hed been abandoned
wasn't much of a crier either, but when he did cry, the only real giveaway was little hiccups and lots of tears, very difficult to hear especially from another room
struggles a lot with his feelings, has no idea what crushes are or how they feel- the first time he liked someone, he thought hed been poisoned and began listing off symptoms (still did not understand even after 'the talk')
again, quiet, and honestly a little awkard, but generally mild-mannered. its hard to get him worked up over something, so he doesnt get into many arguments. if anything, he just stares at someone until theyre done talking 🙃
when he's not feeling well, all he really wants is his dads cooking and hot chocolate, but he has a hard time asking for it as he gets older, since he doesn't want to be treated like a toddler
loves spicy things, can and will drink straight hot sauce if left to his own devices
also eats alot more than most people- thinks food challenges are easy because he's practically a bottomless pit from how much energy his body processes regularly (gabe was absolutely relieved to learn nico doesn't need to sustain himself in the same way he does- feeding himself discreetly was hard enough already)
cat person, 100%!!! he does like dogs, but he thinks cats are cuter and respects that they're a little more work to befriend than a dog

snow lost his mom at a pretty young age, so its just been him and his dad for a while now, but he tries his best to live up to her memory

also very reflective! he likes to spend alot of time finding pretty places to sit and think for a while, often wonders about his mom and if shed be proud of him and his dad
likes to hum alot, occasionally sings very quietly (its mostly old love songs and little tunes he picked up from his parents- his dad probably hummed him to sleep when he was a baby 🥺)
loves vanilla things- he thinks its a beautiful and delicate flavor and doesn't understand why its considered bland
he's cold to the touch! and when he blushes, its more of a navy blue tone than anything else
practices crafting little permafrost sculptures in his down time- has a tendency to make bear figurines since they remind him of his dad more than owls do 🥺
very curious about other people, but shies away when he's approached at first- he doesn't really get lonely when he's on his own, but he does appreciate the company once hes comfortable

a little slower than his dad due to the size difference and what the SEP did, but still tries to join him for morning runs before school and work

Cat Frenzy (FUN UNIT, 2012)

ah, cat frenzy. takes me back, this one does. originally sold on the dsi shop for 200 Nintendo Points (roughly 2 USD), Cat Frenzy is a match puzzle game where you slide rows or columns of cats to match 3 of them and clear them from the board. easy!
you can only slide them left, right, or down, and you can push the cats out of the playboard. the stock button adds more cats to the board to work with, and once you run out of cats the game ends. there are also bonus cats! cats in cans that add 10 to the stock, cats with 2x multipliers that double the points you get from that match/chain, and cats with fish that clear every cat of that type on the board. nice way to make the game more interesting
...or at least, that's how it is in quick play. in mission mode you have to clear all the cats it tells you to, increasing in difficulty over time. most of the missions consist of "get a chain of [x] with [y] amount of moves" with different twists, such as rocks on the board or certain patterns of cats you have to work with
i played SO MUCH cat frenzy when i was a tadpole. like SOOOOO MUCH. it still holds up fairly well, but i will admit that it gets kinda boring after a while. its largely just the same type of thing over and over again. quick play is a fun diversion especially for car rides with nothing else to do, but not really for big road trips of the same nature. good tool for getting a baby frog addicted to puzzle games though! plus it has a save/load feature in quick play, which i think is pretty cool
the mission mode is pretty solid. i feel like id be better at the missions if it wasnt currently 2:25 AM as im writing this line. the first 8 serve as a tutorial for the game as a whole, and the other 40 are actual missions. unfortunately it is 2 in the morning. i cant get past mission 13 as of writing this, but honestly i sorta stopped trying. still a good mode! my brain is just drifting in and out of focus. whoops
the music is an odd beast. cat frenzy has a total of 2 songs -- one for the title screen and one for the gameplay -- and while theyre good, they can very easily get a little grating. theyre real catchy though! ive had the title screen song especially inscribed into my neurons for about a decade
...this is normally where id link to the ost or something, but from what ive seen nobodys ripped the music for this game yet. go figure. ill see what i can do about grabbing the 2 songs from this thing, but i havent done it before, so it might take a little while. stay tuned! (or dont, we advocate for free will and autonomy on this page)
the overall sound design, however, is somewhat lacking and bizarre. there are sounds for things -- moving cats, hitting buttons, etc. -- but i cant say that they make much sense. each type of cat meows differently when you tap it to move it! theres a drum hit when you match cats!! you get cute fanfare when you hit a new level in quick play/clear a mission!!! those are fun!!!!!
but the buttons make weird and baffling sounds, most notably:
the stock button is a spring sound
the hint and retry buttons are squeaky toy sounds (same for the menu button in mission mode)
hitting the "to the main menu" button in mission select just makes a cartoon bonk-honk sound (zonk? whonk? idk what it would count as. very likely youve heard it before at some point in your life though)
the menu button in quick play makes a sound thats a mix between paper shuffling and cicada wings (paper cicada?)
the main menu buttons make a weird kinda cork squeak-esque sound i cant describe
and, most importantly,
hitting all the other buttons makes a sound i can only possibly transcribe as a swift and soft (squeedle-eek!) noise
its confusing. some of these are only tangentially cat related, but most are just completely unrelated to anything in the game. whats the deal here????? did they just buy a buncha stock sounds for this game? so strange to me. regardless, the sound design just isnt all that good. these sounds are funny at first but eventually even the meows become incessant and droning. the best way to get the idea of the kind of experience it is would be to play it yourself. there's very little gameplay of this game online, and what we do have is either mostly silenced in lieu of an admittedly pretty cool song that nonetheless appears nowhere in the game or has about the same video quality as a stick of celery
i will note -- i dont fucking know WHAT that image from the dsi shop page is. i completely wiped it from my memory over the years, but looking back that pink cat is probably why i even bought it. the official page and trailer also claimed these cats are "stuck in a well" and need rescuing, but the board is very clearly a house and these cats are clearly not in any sort of distress. what gives? the cats in-game are more than cute enough to be marketable to 2012 audiences! tell me why you did this, fun unit! i need to know!
overall rating: 5.3 - It's Alright. cat frenzy is a cute little diversion. not the best, mind you, but it's good. it's serviceable. with some kinda-repetitive music and gameplay that starts getting stale in the same timeframe as an apple oxidizing once its cut, youre still better off playing it for the more boring stretches of time you encounter in your life. unless you have a kid who likes cats! it's damn good fun for anyone under 12, but slowly loses its luster every year afterwards. Do Play.

just here to blab cause i havent been having much fun drawing lately, and ive been sick a lot which is abnormal for me, and i got them chronic headaches,
but at least i can project thoughts on silly gay characters and pretend like theyre the main characters in the shows and movies i watch
reviewing past ideas this week since its nice when i dont have anything else i want to do. its nice to go back and see their beginnings again which is mostly just gil being unreadable and emotionally distant and cas being so desperate to keep gil in his life that he ignores all those red flags & pines painfully.
but i write pretty much everything down, so i have all those random thoughts like Domestic Moment #4306 and What If They Were Strangers, or the alternative, What If They Got Together Much Earlier. yknow how it goes. being my own fanfiction writer.
i like writing gil as being inexplicably alluring and its usually just because of small things like how he talks or his body language, on top of the fact he's tall and hot in a grungy way. and cas, even though he's gil's oldest friend, has such a hard time reading him because of gil's unique brand of being guarded (never being vulnerable or transparent). it all adds to the mystery and people (/cas) wanting to get in close for a chance to figure him out.
even in high school, cas wouldnt always be aware of what was happening in his best friend's life. gil's guardedness manifested in his teenage years as keeping the secret of his father's abuse, whether he was just scared of the consequences of others knowing, or he's embarrassed for his own circumstances, but cas' ability to look closely and be a friend without making gil feel bad about himself is part of why they were best friends. that, and cas being (at the time) a good cishet ally boy that respects his friends ;0
while this isnt what happens in their lil story, i do also like to consider what itd be like if cas was brave enough to recognize/act on the feelings he wouldnt admit he had for his friend, back when they were teenagers. cas thought he was straight for many years after high school, but i could also see a reality where ~ally~ cas becomes "experimenting doesnt inherently mean anything". hehe. would make their separation all the more heartbreaking for lil cas.
then, in a universe where they don't meet until theyre adults with separate lives, how that could look. like because of everything above, maybe it'd be expected that gil wouldn't give a person like cas a real chance, that he'd be especially difficult because the lack of history makes it that much harder to break down his walls. but then, what about exhausted gil, alone for the same reasons as usual, choosing it & all his connections with other people usually not extending beyond a single night. this guy, meeting someone who responds to gil's flirtation without going the obvious route and taking gil home for the same reason as everyone else-- but instead, just talks to him, and is oddly the nicest and easiest person to be around. gil's experiences creating expectations thatre shattered by a lil punky guy who doesn't make gil feel alone or like he's around for only one thing.
commitment-phobe gil meeting cas in his mid 20s and somehow agreeing to a date because his curiosity is honestly piqued by this surprise encounter. it seems like it shouldnt be shocking to have a decent conversation with a decent person, but a messy person can somehow manage to completely avoid any positive people. especially if they surround themselves with stoners, dealers, and club rats.
ive said it before but ig they really do have a "i can fix him" dynamic but it actually sorta works? gil isnt as messy, eventually lol. kinda the point.
but i love a circumstance of a guy being all "i don't do relationships, i don't believe in love, bachelor lyfe 4eva, ima fuck this whole city" and then going completely mushy because someone is patient and committed to him. gotchu now bitch... u DO relationship.. u DO believe in love, you are settling down and fucking one man only. i would say sorry but youre happy now bitch ✋caught in 4k
