YIPPEE ok so. My headcanons are honestly pretty basic and honestly are mostly just phone guy related in general, but I feel like some of y'all might enjoy even if I know some of them are probably things other people thought of already. I like to imagine that since phone guys lack actual facial features - and hence being incapable of making proper facial expression - that their rotary dials sort of act as their "face" instead; as in, the dial shifts or turns on its own depending on their thoughts/emotions. Like, for example, the dial could do a faint and brief twitch like an eye twitch when irritated, or spin faster the more intense an emotion (depending on said emotion and/or interpretation). I also imagine that, despite typically trying to act calm and stoic (as a manager "should be"), Steven (among some other phone guys) tends to do small little nervous stims without really realizing it; fixing and/or grabbing his tie, fixing his sleeves, twirling/fidgeting with his receiver's cord, foot tapping, checking the time a little too frequently, that sorta thing. I also have that same little headcanon as many that, yaknow, phone go ring when flustered or angry enough. I think it's cute :] This one's not QUITE a headcanon, but absolute shoutout to people who bedazzle his design a little by givin him like. Gold chains on his suit and stuff. 10/10 I love it. Let that man be fashionable he DESERVES it. To those of you who's designs of Steven include little details like the chains or stickers: mwa mwa ily you're awesome /p I also imagine that all phone guys have more "clean" scars than Jack or Dave since they were fixed up in the factory and all. Other than that.. d'ya think they can like. Overheat or bluescreen, considering that, despite being phones, they still have AI and such.. suggesting they're kinda like. atleast partially a computer of sorts as well. for lack of better words. If Steven or any other phone guy bluescreened, they'd probably just be stuck playing a dial tone faintly from their receivers until they reboot. Or overheat when angry/overwhelmed/flustered enough. I think it's a silly thought hehe.. On a sidenote: YEAHHHHHH FELLOW DAVE X STEVEN SHIPPER WOOOOOO!!! As a Dave I agree, though it's sad that I never really see that much of it. Like.. is there even a proper shipname for it because I've seen a few different takes on it but I've never really seen like... one name that's especially agreed upon. It makes it hard to find content of the ship without knowin' if there's a proper tag for it instead of multiple small ones grr grr /lh -🍆

1.what are the giant sirens opinions on humans. Do they lure humans to eat them or like steal their stuff. Maybe that’s how they got the things they wear like chains head bands and tops.

2.what were each one of the families first experience with humans

3.are they’re ages the same as humans or do they live a lot longer in order to develope such growth.

4.what are the sirens biggest rivals? Still humans?

WHAT'S UO AND WELCOME❓❗ Glad you could find it. Anyway of course I have answers. Ya girls been into world building lately, lucky for you.

Sirens, at least with the Encanto Island community, do not like humans. It is a well-known and stated fact among the people that humans are dangerous creatures and are out for them.

Guppies are told to never go near ships, it's hammered into their heads. Of course, if a swarm of guppies gets ahold of the ship, the humans should probably stay away from them. They are very smart, and very cunning, and will feign innocence. As for grown sirens, yes, they will lure humans, but nine times out of ten, it's away from the islands. Despite it being covered in thick fog, they still don't let anyone through. And yeah, the chains, flags, anchors, even glass are used by the sirens. They will take them, especially since it's such a rare thing to find.

Alma is very against humans. Her first 'real' experience interacting with them was when Pedro was killed. So.

The triplets were sheltered from humans as guppies, and didn't even really see them until they got older. They had gotten to help scavenge a shipwreck, and a survivor kimda sorta tried to attack them, not even out of malice, it was out of fear. Felíx, when he was first out of his shell, accidentally capsized a boat, and did his best to fix it. Keywords, 'did his best'. Agustin was on the land of the island, and he tried to talk to them, but due to his size ended up scaring them off. Isabela and Dolores ties in with Luisa, they were with a school and they were kind of on like. A field trip with the caretakers of the Grotto and ended up getting to see a fishing ship. Isabela and Dolores didn't like the humans. Luisa didn't see how they were dangerous. Camilo and Mirabel's ties in as well. This was the first guppy incident that implemented the rule of guppy schools not being able to out ratio the caretakers (the ratio is 1 caretaker for every 15 guppies. This was latter changed after the second incident.). They, and the other guppies within the school, raided a ship for all the food they had. This also implemented the feeding schedule for them lmao. Antonio's encounter was similar to Camilo and Mirabel's, just not nearly as severe.

So. They age about the same as humans until they grow out their shells. So like, maybe between 5-9.

They don't stop aging, just age slower. Alma is probably older than you might think. Same with other elders. It's not entirely known how they age, but they stop aging like humans after they leave the shell. They develop similarly I wanna say, especially as guppies considering they're most human-like. Grown sirens biology is like humans, but there are differences.

Yes. It's still humans. It will likely stay humans too.

To humans, giant sirens are considered sea beasts. They think they're meant to be hunted and out down. Hence why sirens live on giant inhabited islands in pods/communities. Their biggest ally are jellyfish. Giant sirens and jellyfish go way back. So poisonous and defensive jellyfish will defend against humans, by instinct. Most the guppy grotto and most shells have some kind of jellyfish near them, typically box jellyfish and moon jellyfish, both for different purposes of course.

Some drawings RAHHHHH 🦅🦅 First one is the caretakers and their shifts lmao <33 Ignacio and Maria were specifically set to night shift because. They can glow in the dark/provide self sustaining light.

Second is basically what the island would look like. It's far bigger than pictured, and the community itself stretches far beneath the ocean and across the ocean floor. Part of it goes to a trench below the island, for deep sea sirens like Ignacio.

This one is really just a joke but. It guppies are not fed they will eat inanimate objects. Things that aren't meant to be eaten. Whoever's watchin them gotta pull it out of their mouths, because they won't listen if you ask them to spit it out.

Second one is. Just sleeping, because growing out of their shells is surprisingly very tiring, and takes a few weeks.

The Boys' Opinions on MC's Dog

Same premise as the one with the cat, but this time with my sweet furbaby Elsa~

This is Elsa, my babygirl 🥰

I adopted her a few years back during a time of heavy depression and she has boosted me up for the better.

She is a chihuahua mix (or so the people I adopted from guessed; their other guess was a terrier mix) and was found wandering the streets. They think she escaped her previous owner's backyard, but aren't sure because no one came looking for her. I adopted her when she was one and a half.

Before anyone asks though, I will explain about her eyes. Those pinky red spots are her tear ducts, as I was told. We call them her cherry eyes and she's had them since I adopted her. I've talked about them with the vet and the lady said they don't hurt her or anything of the sort; they just sorta look strange when they pop out like this.

There is a surgery to fix it, but it's was too expensive and then she might have to have eye drops in her eyes for the rest of her life (and she hates eye drops a lot). Overall, I feel like it would cause her more harm than good to do it anyway.

I made sure explain this because I've literally had people (both irl and through me messaging them her picture) react like "Dear god, what is wrong with her eyes!!!" And it's like chill dude and stop insulting my dog.

She's still a beautiful and sweet little girl 🥰💕

So yeah! She's fine so there's no need to worry about the cherry eyes. She is however partially blind in one eye, but that is because...well, she dislikes cats and in the beginning of taking care of her brother Beanie, she wasn't his biggest fan. One day she had him cornered, he swatted her, and I had a $300 vet bill on my hands.

She is a sweet girl though! She just thinks she's bigger and tougher than she actually is. I call her my little Gryffindor sometimes lol.

Elsa's other names: Elsa Mae, Babygirl, Baby Love, Little Love, Baby Angel, Sweet Girl, and Little Bitch (jokingly since the non cuss word meaning of bitch is female dog and she's little, hence little bitch lol)

And lastly

The Queen 👑 hehe~

Now let's see how the Boys' handle her! She is quite needy so let's see how this goes hehe.

Lucifer:

Was honest less reluctant than he was in Beanie's timeline.

Lucifer preferred big dogs (evident by Cerberus), but believed small dogs have their own charms.

Elsa was just this little helpless girl and he quickly grew a soft spot for her.

She was bit annoying though since she was always crying about something

But she was easy to soothe and the pride demon did enjoy holding her close and comforting her

Once she got used to him at least.

In truth, Elsa is scared of men, something we guess to be a part of a past trauma, either from when she was on the streets or because her first owner treated her poorly.

Because of this, it takes her awhile to feel safe with any man

But Lucifer is very patient and soft with her and he soon becomes one of her favorite people.

She can often be found on his lap as he does paperwork and will gently distract him from his work with a nudge of her nose to his arm.

Though it was annoying to him at first, those brief periods of having to stop his work for a moment to pet the needy furbaby actually did wonders for his stress.

Overall, he finds Elsa slightly tiring, but very sweet and enjoys the comfort she gives him.

Mammon:

This dude likes making fun of the dog

And gets smacked by MC on the arm or back of the head every time they hear him say anything mean.

In truth, he does like the chubby little thing.

Elsa's cries for attention always make this need dude feel needed and that's a feeling Mammon really wishes he felt more.

He pretends to find her annoying, but in truth grows to love her.

Some nights he'll try to steal the pup from her mama's (MC's) bed just for the dog to turn on him and bark still the whole house knows he's doing shit.

Will sometimes bribe her with food to try to get Elsa to choose him over his other brothers and it will usually work since she's so food driven.

Overall, Elsa makes this man feel important and gets Mammon addicted to the feeling.

Leviathan:

This dog knows how to make him feel guilty and he hates it.

He can't even eat a meal without her staring at him.

Feels like she thinks he's some monster who would starve her just 'cause he eats his own food.

Elsa's big eyes are good at this so it's not just Levi.

The envy demon also hates when she tries to come into his room.

Levi isn't worried she'll mess with his stuff or anything like that since she's such a good dog.

However, his room is stuffed with things that could crush the tiny girl if they fell

And this man has too much anxiety to chance it

So instead she cries outside his bedroom till eventually she fall asleep against his door.

Almost stepped on her while leaving his room once and this dude still hasn't forgiven himself.

Overall is very anxious about her size and just tries to distance himself from what he sees as an incredibly fragile little thing.

Satan:

This man is a cat lover; we all know this.

Still, he treats Elsa nice enough.

Will sometimes have to excuse himself when she cries too much.

It really gets on his nerves and the Avatar of Wrath knows his limits at this point.

Will pet her and call her a good girl, but that is the extent of his interactions with her.

Another brother worried about Elsa coming into their room.

Satan has so many books and many cursed books.

The poor girl could get severely hurt if a pile fell on her

And there's always the risk of a curse one touching her and then Satan will have to explain to MC why her precious pup is now a baby chick or something like that.

It's just safer to keep her out.

Overall, Satan is good to her, but overall disinterested.

Asmodeus:

Omg she's too perfect!!!

Gushes over the furbaby and spoils her with love.

Will refuse to let her on his lap if she's been outside recently though; Elsa has dirtied his clothes like this in the past and it upset the lust demon when his favorite pants got mud on them.

Is usually the brother ready to snuggle her when she cries.

Overall, Asmo loves Elsa very much and will always give her the affection she craves.

Beelzebub:

The man who can never put her down.

This dog just activates his Daddy instincts and he can't help but take care of her.

Is literally terrified of stepping on her; he is a big man and she is a tiny girl after all.

This is a part of why he holds her so much; if she's in his arms then she can never be hurt.

Plus hugging her makes him oh so happy 🥺💕

Is the brother that helps with most of Elsa's needs.

Beel will trim her nails for MC, despite Elsa's loud wails the entire time like she's being murdered (she hates her paws being touched). It hurts his heart, but he knows it's good for her.

Will sometimes help MC give her a bath, but not always.

Her cry is extra sad and pathetic, enough to break the hearts of anyone within hearing distance and it's too much for Beely 😢

Finds it funny afterwards when she refuses the towel and dries herself on the carpet (she rolls around and does a funny dancer essentially) while staring at MC with accusatory eyes.

Unfortunately, Beel is always one to sneak her food as well 😅

Elsa is a bit overweight and the vet wants her to lose some pounds but this girl is always hungry.

For obvious reasons, this man empathizes with her and can't help but sneak her some dog-safe food at times.

Overall, Beel fell in love. MC may be this dog's mama but he wants to be the daddy so bad.

Please MC 🥺👉👈

Belphegor:

Gets annoyed with her easily and can say some pretty mean things to her.

Belphie doesn't mean it though! Boy is just grouchy when woken up and Elsa tends to do that a lot.

She can't jump on beds by herself so cries and cries till she is finally placed on it.

Once the pup snuggles up with him to join him for his nap, the sloth demon immediately feels like an ass.

Belphie is also the one Elsa runs to when there's a thunderstorm.

She'll hide under the blankets with Belphie and he'll do his best to stay awake long enough to give the shaking dog some comfort.

Overall, likes her but gets annoyed by her a lot.

Diavolo:

This man gets so excited when MC brings Elsa to the castle!

Barb has zero chance of getting the prince to do work when the sweet pup visits with her mama lol

Honestly, this man is probably one of the few Elsa bonds with the quickest.

Dia is just so happy and showers her in love and treats (he always has an excuse for MC for why it's perfectly fine for Elsa to have so many treats 'just this once').

Elsa will literally run to this man the very second she sees him.

This little girl loves her 'Uncle Dia' so much (and boy, does Diavolo love being called that 🥰)

Barb takes the interruption to the prince's work schedule in stride

And even will uses it a motivator to get the man through his paperwork without staring out the window for like ten minutes at a time.

Will often make deals like 'like finish x amount of papers today and I will ask MC to bring Elsa tomorrow afternoon and bam, the work is done in lightning speed.

Elsa is more of a help than a hindrance to the prince's work so it all works out well 🥰🤭

Overall, Dia loves Elsa to bits and wishes she could visit more.

Barbatos:

Honestly, this man is no where near as close to Elsa as he was was with Beanie.

He finds Elsa cute and a good motivator for Diavolo, but a bit of a trouble maker.

Elsa doesn't quite understand what the Little Ds around the castle are, but assumes they are strange animals.

She'll snarl and try chasing the Little Ds, only for some to push her back or scare her off, resulting in her running to Barbatos and hiding behind his leg as she shakes.

This prompts Barb to frown and make a small sigh before kneeling down and comforting the scared pup.

Elsa causes problems for herself and expects help from the butler; this is no different from some people he knows and so he is used to it.

I'll admit, he never completely got over the time she tracked her muddy footprints all over the castle after being in the garden on a damp day, but blames MC more than he blames the ignorant pup.

Overall, Barb likes Elsa, but is less than thrilled about some aspects of her.

Solomon:

Honestly finds the dog precious.

It takes a while for Elsa to get familiar with him and not let her fear of men include him though.

Solomon was patient though and had no issues with waiting.

Didn't go out his way to bribe or force affection onto Elsa; just let time do its thing.

Even once the two started bonding, Elsa would bark every time he comes into House of Lamentation.

Solomon just laughs it off and say HoL has a pretty good security system now.

Despite the rather loud greeting, the dog always has to sit on his lap for a bit and will whine to rush him to sit down.

Overall, Solomon likes Elsa and thinks she's funny.

Simeon:

#1 pet sitter right here.

This angel sees Elsa as one of the most precious beings he's ever seen and is always up for pet sitting when need be.

Despite her fear of men, Elsa was never the least bit scared of Simeon.

Why that is, MC has no clue, but it definitely made some of the other men jealous in the beginning.

Just Simeon's name alone will make the dog run to the door and whine, making her think he's here to visit her.

His name becomes a trigger word the residents of HoL have to spell in order not to hype her up for disappointment

Just for Elsa to somehow associate the spoken letters of his name to his name and react the same.

How the hell is this dog so good at spelling???

(She legit is. Spell 'treat' around her and she will lose her shit; idk man she is too smart for her own good lol)

They literally just have to refer to him as 'the angel' when he's not around, a fact that Simeon finds funny.

Overall, Simeon loves the sweet pup dearly and Elsa loves him to a degree that shocks others lol

Luke:

!!!!!!!!!!!

The best of friends, through and through.

Luke practically fell in love with the dog instantly and Elsa loves older kids so the feeling was mutual.

(She doesn't like toddlers because of the time my nephew hit her when he was two, but loves older kids who know how to be gentle).

Often begs MC to let him to sleepover HoL for a night so he can spend more time with Elsa and even snuggle her while he falls asleep.

Will also bake her peanut butter treats, a favorite of hers 💕

These two are freaking cute together and no one is immune to it.

Overall: Besties. What more can I say?

But that is initially what got me to make Chapter 1 a year ago (and I then shelved out of shame and embarrassment, hehe. Hence why that one looks a bit different in style and sims)

Actually it would be really cool if this somehow starts a premade TS3 train just like it does right now for TS2!

If you were afraid I'd accuse you of 'stealing" my idea, really don't! I love to see gameplay things on premades and what you decided they're going through :)

I have a regretevator OC who is an angel cat.

Infodump warning lol:

His name is Jex (yes, he's my self insert, sue me).

He's very destructive (hence why he spawns in the mines floor.) He also can and will explode things. He can enter the elevator. He jumps off the ice cream truck after waving at the player deviously and he flies towards the elevator.

He is (since I selfship with them) dating Pest (the gays fr), Mach, and Spud. He does steal things along with Pest so yes, he technically CAN and WILL steal your coins. He goes where Pest goes (he's severely attached to him), Spud goes, or to where Mach is. He can be an asshole.

His pronouns are He/They/It/Xe/Vi but doesn't care which ones people use for him. As long as they don't call him a girl (he's trans). He's very talented within the arts (music, writing, drawing, and singing).

He has a mood disorder (Cyclothymia to be exact) and it makes his mood switch pretty fucking fast. He's trying to get better at managing his anger but sometimes he just can't. He absolutely hates Gnarpy with a burning passion and has attempted to attack xem on multiple occasions.

He has powers but they are limited (they are linked to his energy. He uses too much, he'll pass out). He has a secondary form which also takes A LOT of his energy (he can only stay in that form for a maximum of 10-ish minutes). He can summon items but that also takes energy. He's a caffeine and sugar addict and if he consumes both at the same time, it will be CATastrophic (hehe cat puns >:3). He can and will pass out due to a caffeine crash or a sugar crash (sometimes both).

His talk sounds are ease to identify how he's feeling because his meows are based on his mood. He does tend to get easily irritated when the player sprays him with water or hits him with a snowball.

He has ADHD (the combined version [ADHD-C]) and one of his special interests is space. He is touch starved (hates to admit it) but doesn't like it when people touch him without his permission.

He can speak multiple languages (Angelic, Hungarian, German, Russian, English [mainly since no one can understand him], and Japanese [he learned Japanese from Pest]).

🐈‍⬛💫Lore time!💫🐈‍⬛

He's been casted out of heaven due to a false rumor one the day he was supposed to be the next ruler over heaven. He's technically the last angel cat of his kind. He's the way he is because of people being terrible to him. Though, when he met Pest, he felt... calmer... safer... like he can just be himself without judgement. He and Pest clicked instantly when Jex told an NPC to stop bothering him and for them to go away.

🐈‍⬛💫Relations💫🐈‍⬛

He's good friends with Gregoriah, Spit, Bive, and DrRETRO. He dislikes Poob (because of how loud they are), Infected (because he's very curious about Jex and has attempted to touch him on multiple occasions), and he could care less about anyone else. He's dating Pest, Mach, and Spud (as if I haven't said that enough lol). Absolutely hates MR, Unpleasant, and Gnarpy.

what's a lorelocke?

IM GLAD YOU ASKED

someone on the nuzlocke forums decided one day to make a variant on the nuzlocke, hence the -locke part of the name. as a part of those rules, they wanted to sort of pay homage, a bit, to every pokemon's origin, or possible origin, or something similar.

These rules would then shape how you could use the mon, or how you used your items. And there are different rules for every mon, and some even have effects when encountering/catching them, which makes the act of pokemon training a bit more involved... like creatures like that should be, probably.

Love making my mons have to follow rules for silly reasons or serious reasons in order to spice up gameplay a bit. There are many variations of lockes for a reason, but I haven't finished a lorelocke run before... and I'm doing it hardcore because I would find it easy otherwise HAHA

Here's a link to the lorelocke thread, which has a thing attached which has a whole document with EVERY MON UP TO GEN 6 WITH RULES.

Now to explain why I'm attached to the timburr. You see, she has the Chosen of Hephaestus rule, which cancels out the 'lore rules' of every rock, steel, and fire type in the party, while also being immune to lore rules of those types while catching them. There's another part of the rule, but that's the real sticking point-

I have a roggenrola, who was seeming to have an annoying rule- Whenever it reaches a level divisible by 7 (7,14,21) you must put aside a Nugget, a Precious Stone, or items worth 6,000 pokeyen, which it steals away from. That's expensive! BUT with the rule, that rule is just. nothing. I don't have to deal with it.

I also caught a darumaka, which had a rule that said it might demand a sacrifice after winning a gym battle (50/50), and it could be another pokemon, very expensive (20,000), or bringing a fighting type in to subdue it which had a chance to kill.

But I have my Timburr. and she cancels that too, since the darumaka is a Fire Type. No need to worry about sacrificing or anything just Timburr dealing with them.

Timburr also, as a part of the rule, has a thing that if you throw away items worth 15,000 and you get a pretty neat not-ingame item that lets it ignore lorerule effects for learning/using moves or switching in and out. I have a blitzle that has a rule that doesn't let it switch out if she gets confused- if I get this thing, I could put it on the little zebra and wouldn't have to worry about it!

... all in all, I got VERY lucky that she works so well, hehe. Never really used a timburr before either, and now i know how to edit sav files for ds games on my emulator, I can make her a conkeldurr, which will be NICE.

zhongli: HHHHHHHHHHHHHHH please crys we both know how this man sounds. he sounds sexy as FUCK. in all honesty, i am biased to his jp va but i also love his en va's and cn va's voices so i can't. i can't choose helpsdhflsjkdlf but either way, he has this... how do you say this... elegance? poise? finesse? in his intonations, and it. it makes me so down bad for him. he has the kind of voice that makes you listen to every single word that he's saying, and i am WEAK.

al haitham: ok please don't hate me for this, this is just my preference hlsdjflksdjf his en va does a good job, of course, but i love his jp va's portrayal a lot. it's deep. it's a little raspy-ish? it's cold and indifferent but IT MAKES IT SO MUCH FUNNIER WHEN HE SAYS STUFF LIKE "... 靴の中に砂が入った..." or "... 冗談だ." please why is he like this i love him so much.

zhongrin: most of the time? me. ahem. insecurity problems and all ;;; and this man probably has a fanclub, let's face it. you think the fact that he's been loyal to me for a few millenia is going to make me feel secure in the relationship? haha. hah. ha.... ;;;;

meitham: he'd be open to travel and help with the planning, but he'd probably leave the decisions on where to visit to me... so... you know... nothing's stopping us from visiting and sightseeing across all 6 nations, hehe.

Masterlist

Walking into our shared bedroom, I catch the sight of Corpse exiting the bathroom. As our eyes lock, my lips curl up tiredly and a long sigh I didn’t even know I’ve been holding finally frees itself. He sits on the edge of our bed and extends his hand to me. When I take it, he pulls me so I stand in the space between his legs.

“How was the day?” he asks with both of his hands on my waist.

I hum, quirking a brow and tilting my head a bit “At least tomorrow - you know, the most unspecial, completely ordinary day of the year -” this earns a giggle from my boyfriend “is Sunday and I can just ignore all of that” I wave my hand in the direction of the adjacent room, where my laptop - filled with texts, assignments, spreadsheets and appointed Zoom calls - is.

At my words, Corpse wraps his arms around my figure, pulls my body even closer to him and plants a kiss on my stomach through my shirt. My hands, in turn, caress his upper back and soft hair.

Coming in contact with the string of his eyepatch in the process, I lean back slightly, which causes him to shoot up at me with a small frown and pouty lips. He sits still, though, as I carefully remove his eyepatch, and, while his eyes are still closed, I give each of his lids a peck. He smiles and tilts his head up to meet my lips in a long, tender and effortless kiss. Oh finally.

The idea of quarantining together was welcomed as a blessing by both of us. It meant more time spent together after all. However, with my school and work demands and Corpse’s irregular schedule, we still barely see each other throughout the day in spite of being a few feet apart from one another. And when bedtime rolls in, we’re both so exhausted all we can do is mumble words that could be counted in the fingers of one hand before drifting off. This, of course, when my boyfriend doesn’t stay up until dawn working. Don’t get me wrong, I’m his number 1 fan and admire his passion and all the hard work he puts in everything he sets his mind to, but I’m also not going to lie and say I don’t miss his warmth at night. Hence I want to devote this Sunday to him.

After a while, I break the silence “I’ll be right back.”

I let go of his hold and take my turn to use the bathroom. After doing my night routine, brushing my teeth and getting into my cozy pajamas, I walk back in the dark room and lie down, settling myself back in Corpse’s hug like two puzzle pieces matching together.

The excitement for a new day - not any day, no, but August 8th - washes over me as soon as I open my eyes and get a glimpse of the sleepy boy next to me.

A couple of minutes go by as I contemplate on getting up, torn between prolonging our cuddling for some more and doing something to show Corpse my appreciation for him. The latter wins and I, cautious not to wake him up, slowly unwrap my arms from him and step out of the bed. Drawing the curtains to make sure the summer daylight doesn’t disturb his peaceful state of mind, I make my way out of the room and to the kitchen.

Wondering what to make for breakfast, I take a good look around until my eyes catch the plethora of fruits we’ve bought a few days ago. Fruit salad it is.

Corpse has, for as long as we’ve known each other, made it very clear he isn’t too fond of his anniversary and similar celebrations - and, even if he hadn’t explained it to me, it’s rather evident how uncomfortable they make him. This year, his friends’ and especially his fans’ hype for the date - although unintentionally - has added an extra layer of unease to it all, to which I don’t intend to contribute.

Even though I don’t want to make matters worse and would never overstep his boundaries like this (because, thankfully, I’m not Betty Cooper and he isn’t Jughead Jones), I still want to celebrate Corpse. I want to celebrate his birth and his existence, which I’m immensely grateful for. He’s both the best friend I can confide in blindly and the lover I want to share my lifetime with. He sticks to his truth and dreams higher than I could ever imagine. He turns the darkness in the world and in his mind into light with his words and with his laugh. Having him in my life is one of the best things to ever happen to me and seeing him fly makes me more proud than I can put into words.

There’s a lot to toast to, so the solution is a celebration that is so smooth and so chill - the smoothest and most chill possible - that it doesn’t even feel like one. Just log off and enjoy a laid back day together.

As I chop a kiwi and make a mental list of fun and uncomplicated things we can do that don’t require much time and many skills, in walks Corpse, in an old white tee which is one too many sizes bigger than him and in his black sweatpants. He rubs his eyes and lets a raspy “good morning”.

“Mornin- wow! They really weren’t lying when they said when you hit 24, hotness knocks at your door”

He chuckles and shakes his head “No one’s said that”

“Well, then consider yourself the muse of a new proverb, baby”

He scrunches up his nose in response before grabbing the cup of orange juice I’d placed on the counter and taking a gulp.

“Thank you” he turns my face and gives me an orange-flavoured kiss, neither of us having ever really cared about morning breath.

“For calling you hot? Oh save it to when I’m done with the list of cheesy compliments I have for you” I take a grape and before I can get it in my mouth, he steals it, with wrinkles on the corner of his eyes.

“Then we’d be here for eternity!” he’s not wrong.

Corpse helps me put the fresh fruits in bowls and, with them and our juice cup in hand, we head to the balcony. Sitting next to each other, we calmly eat, take in the light blue sky and the cars and passersby changing the scenery ahead of us. Conversation flows naturally.

As we empty our bowls - after stealing many bits from each other -, I twist in my seat and face him “Hey, Corpse, do you see this?” I point to the very prominent and familiar dark circles under my eyes. “Wanna help me get rid of them?” I ask, knowing damn well it’d take a lifetime for them to actually go away and not giving up regardless.

The bathroom is filled with chatter and laughter and the sink, with hair clips, scrunchies, a sharpie, bowls, hair products and a towel. Corpse hisses as our cool homemade face mask comes in contact with his skin. His curly hair is pushed back and held by a blue hairband and I apply the mask to his face, making sure not to leave any spots uncovered. Well, that’s what I’m trying to do, which becomes an unnecessarily challenging task when my lovely partner can’t be still for more than two seconds.

He kept switching between dancing to Soulmate, by Mac Miller, and mouthing its lyrics. Now that I got him - after a small threat that I wouldn’t hesitate putting this weird mix we made in his pretty mouth - to keep his lips together, the (adorable, admittedly) swaying, however, continues. He stops momentarily, only to shuffle things around right after.

Something cold touches my skin, making it my turn to let out a hiss this time. The sound is accompanied by a small jump, caused by the surprise. Corpse chuckles and, when I glance at the spot on my arm the cold thing came in contact with, I realize it’s just the sharpie. All he does is give me a mischievous smile.

While I keep massaging his face and covering it with the mask, Corpse litters my body with his drawings. Smiley faces, lightning bolts, hearts, clouds... his repertoire is vast and any exposed skin he can find becomes his canvas. Each line causing me to giggle and shudder a little. With him focused on his creations, it’s 10 times easier for me to complete my task.

“Alright, my turn” he states, smiling, and I’m quick to grab the sharpie.

As he adjusts a matching hairband on my head, I put a dainty heart on his neck. And, as he takes the bowl in his hands, I swiftly plant a kiss on top of the drawing. At this, he sighs in content and my chest gets warmer.

I soon understand how hard it was for him to stay still as Stay comes on and all I want to do is have a little karaoke session and dance. Corpse entertains himself with my struggle and, because it’s his birthday, I’ll let it slide. So, to make the whole process easier, instead of focusing on the song, I focus on the gorgeous face in front of me. A beautiful face to a beautiful soul.

One of the various perks of sharing an apartment with Corpse is I get to see this face in all ways: sleepy, completely clean - no makeup, no mask -, all wrinkled in the morning, red when he’s embarrassed or when he laughs too hard… His laughter. Its sound pulls me from my trance “You’re staring, y/n”

“Well, at least I wasn’t moving around, Corpse” I reply with squinted eyes and nudge his side playfully.

We begin collecting the things scattered across the sink and storing them in the cabinet, and the song comes to an end, giving way to Dang!

“How long do we keep these on?”

I hum at the question and check the playlist on shuffle on my phone “How does 5 minutes and 2 seconds sound?”

Facing him, his grin mirrors mine and he spins me around. We laugh and allow ourselves to be as goofy as possible, jamming and moving our limbs around with a green paste on our faces.

After washing off the masks in the shower and painting our nails - so we’re both rocking the black nail polish look -, we’ve set our minds to - finally - finish the puzzle we started two months ago. It’s a 90’s anime setting inspired composition and we’d gotten about 40% of it done before our schedules got more hectic and the game, well, pushed aside. For weeks, the pieces sat on the ground of our living room and silently judged us every time either of us stepped to the side, as we crossed the room, in order not to crush them.

Sitting around the puzzle with comfy clothes, we team up against it and indulge in the wine Corpse’s got us and the hawaiian pizza I’ve ordered.

As the picture comes more and more to life, moments of comfortable silence and of chattery - when we talk about anything from our shopping list and gossip about our neighbours’ lives to parallel universes and the matrix - follow one another. A different playlist on shuffle is our background noise.

Time flies and the sun’s already hidden when it clicks to us that there are only 5 pieces left. Each piece is fitted in the whole with a giddier feeling than the previous. Corpse picks the last one - deep blue with purple and black specks - and turns to me with an excited smile and an eager gaze that I’m sure are mirrored on my face. I nod encouragingly. He places it in the puzzle and celebratory sounds fill the room.

Corpse stretches his arms and pulls me in a hug, but, since we’re both kneeling and because of the distance between us, we end up falling and lying on the ground in rather uncomfortable positions.

“Come on, puzzle, that was easy breezy! Gotta step up your game if you really wanna challenge this duo right here!”

“Oh for sure!” Corpse squeaks as we laugh at our nonsensical brag.

After a moment while we catch our breath, he rubs my back and speaks, pulling my attention to him “Not that I’m not loving this position, but what if we watched some Drag Race?”

Is this man real? If I couldn’t feel his heart beating under me or his arms around my figure, I’d be sure he’s just a figment of my imagination. “But it’s your b- don’t you wanna choose something you like more? Li-”

“Nope,” he boops my nose “Drag Race, or maybe Love Island, would be great right now.” And people still dare say the perfect man doesn’t exist!

“You’re such a dream!” I give him a quick peck before continuing “Ok, so I put on the show and you get more wine…?” He hums in approval and stands up. Our eyes briefly jump from each other to the puzzle and back to each other, then we simply nod. A silent agreement to leave the puzzle here. We’re both too lazy to put all the pieces back in the box and too proud of our achievement to let it go just yet; besides, everything’s been sitting here for about two months, what are a few more hours?

He steps to the side, gets our glasses and makes his way to the kitchen. I lie on the couch and scan Netflix for Drag Race. Corpse comes back, placing the glasses next to the couch, and gently lies down on top of me. He nests his head on my chest and we both hum contently.

While RuPaul announces what the winner’s prize will be, I play with his hair, letting my fingers knead his curls. His right hand flies up to meet mine and I bring our intertwined hands to my lips, peppering his knuckles with kisses. The gesture is cut by a loud laugh that escapes my lips as miss Vanjie Mateo’s iconic moment replays on the screen.

“Hey,” Corpse’s voice makes me look right back at him “I love you. You know that, right?”

My heart melts at his words and at the way he’s looking at me right now. I nod with a smile.

“I love you too, birthday boy.”

Here’s some general information!

She’s 38

She is 182 cm tall (without heels)

Demiascareous’ wife!!

She specializes in creating creatures of the sorts, ie, using genetic blueprints to create new entities. Demi was her first successful attempt.

She is a very cold, stern, isolated person. She only thinks about her research, never taking the time to engage in other activities.

Before she moved to the island her laboratory is located on, she used to live in a small town.

She ended up moving to the lab after an incident with her "fiancé", who ended up being a hitman sent to take her research (and her life, if they had to).

Her coworkers are very respecting of her, not necessarily afraid since they understand her standoffishness.

She is very particular about how things are run and how tests are carried out.

Initially, Demi's attitude and constant manipulation (or an attempt of) really irritated her. After Demi learns about what had happened to her, he begins to become more concerned, leading to Sophia coming around eventually.

She has so many eyes (on her and around the lab) because of her paranoid nature. While there are security cameras, she is aware technology can be overwritten, thus creating almost some sort of organic security system.

I’m gonna lore dump about her under the cut (I totally didn’t steal this from other posts I’ve written about her hehe)!

When her so-called lover tried to take that research, and Sophia's life, she escaped, taking her work with her. There was no way she would leave that behind.

From that day onward, she stayed on the island, not ever leaving the lab. She, understandably, became very cold and accusatory, hardly telling anyone what she was doing.

The lab she escaped to is one she worked at periodically, so the people there were familiar with her. The thing about that lab was it wasn't regulated, no one owned it, and it wasn't under any government restrictions. She felt safe there because of it, so continued her studies there. She wasn't about to give up what she'd done for so long.

Overtime, she became the one in charge. The scientists who agreed to stay and help the research had to swear secrecy, which resulted in most cutting contact with anywhere else.

Sophia's research, to put it simply, involves figuring out how to make life from the surroundings. Take Demi, for example. He was the first successful experiment. His being was derived from the highly dangerous fungi growing on the island for centuries (which was a type of "mind-controlling" fungus, hence Demi's god complex- this also explains his "old and wise"-ness, technically he's been around for ages, only now he has the ability to communicate, among other things).

Most of the time she would take samples from Demi and hardly speak with him. The first time he’s able to achieve a human, Sophia is a little annoyed… because Demi loves to talk. And he would talk. He knew she was very broken and tried to get her to open up.

Obviously he did that because he wants to get in her mind and control her like he did with anyone else, but he could never seem to. Not that she’s immune, she isn’t, Sophia just knows how Demi works. She was the one who created him, after all.

Eventually officials from the main town she used to live in (and the one Demi later works as a priest in) start to show up to her lab unannounced. Sophia is very bothered by this. She certainly does not want them to know she created a whole ass demiurge. So, she sticks Demi in a lab coat and forces him to work.

This is kind of how they start to warm up. Sophia has no other choice but to tell him what happened so he knew why she was keeping her research on the down low. As far as the public was aware, she was researching sea life.

↘ Therefore, a few trainings later, you could easily record the ‘WAP challenge’ and put it on the pink-haired teenager’s popular account.

↘ Meanwhile, your lovely boyfriend was in the coffee bar with Denki. Unexpectedly, the latter got a notification on his phone.

- Bads skin colour is deadass vantablack like if he holds his hand in front of his face it just seemingly vanishes and you can’t pick out where his hand ends and face begins

- I want him to look terrifying.... like absolutely massive a complete unit of a man, sharp ass teeth, sharp spikes and horns, sharp claws, white glowing eyes........... but he’s just like “owo” at all times ghgh

Baby Sam is very hard working and focused on whatever she's doing that sometimes, she forgets to take care of herself. So, I see Sugawara Koushi with her perfectly, someone caring and understanding, but knows better than to let her overwork and tells her when enough is enough. I actually had a hard time with Ms. Zizi. See, I haven't interacted with her much. But, based on the interactions of hers that I see on my tl, I can see that she is very playful but also can be serious. Hence, why I say that she'd be amazing with Kuroo Tetsurou. Kuroo is playful and an overall gremlin, but he's very caring ang knows exactly when to be serious and how serious. He'll help her with anything he can help her with, but he also knows when no to because it's something Zizi needs to do for herself. Likewise, Zizi knows when to be cheery to make Kuroo smile, but also when to sit and talk to Kuroo about a delicate matter. They'd both ground each other, while matching the same playful energy.

yachi is in the middle of preparing dinner when you and tsukishima crash through the front door.

“ugh, all my stuff is wet,” the blond grumbles.

he kicks his damp shoes off by the genkan before shuffling further into the apartment, rubbing the spot on his head where he had bumped it yet again against the doorframe. meanwhile, you’re struggling to untangle yourself from tsukishima’s windbreaker and the straps of your backpack. yachi rushes over to help.

“leave your things by the fan! it’ll dry faster,” she calls out to tsukishima.

you hear his bag hit the ground, and the shower starts up immediately after. yachi has to help pluck the green jacket off of you before you’re able to dump your wet belongings on the floor.

“oh, why did it have to rain so suddenly?” you mourn.

wet hair is plastered to your face, obscuring your field of vision. yachi giggles as she parts it so that you can see. her soft fingertips (except the rough one that she had burnt making takoyaki last week) brush against your skin gently and you smile.

“i’m home.”

“welcome back.”

thankfully, tsukishima doesn’t take too long to get out of the shower, leaving you to dart into the warm bathroom to peel your wet clothes off. you can faintly hear his conversation with yachi through the pitter patter of water against your skin as they talk about what’s for dinner.

“i hope the both of you don’t get a cold,” yachi says when you finally emerge from the bathroom. she hurries to set the table for dinner where tsukishima is already laying out chopsticks and rice bowls.

“kei gave me his windbreaker. if anyone’s getting sick, it’ll be him,” you tease and plop down by the table. tsukishima glares at you.

“if i hadn’t given you that, you’ll be complaining about getting wet. not like it helped, anyways. the rain was really heavy today.”

“aw, kei! just say that you love me already!”

tsukishima groans in disgust as you lean forward, smacking a wet kiss on his cheek. he wipes it off with the back of his hand and you chuckle.

yachi brings the hotpot over, placing it on a portable gas stove. the pot is filled with delicious ingredients, ranging from chinese cabbage and shiitake mushrooms to thin slices of meat. you drool.

“the meat was on sale today! we still have two more packs in the freezer, so eat up.” yachi smiles brightly and lights the fire.

dinner is spent slurping rich broth while chatting over how school had gone that day, your wet books fluttering like butterflies by the oscillating fan. tsukishima even fetches a couple cans of beer for everyone to share and all of you are soon warmed up by the hot and delicious meal.

“hitoka’s cooking is the best,” you sigh in satisfaction, resting against the sofa as you sip your beer.

“hehe, i’ve had a lot of time to practice.” you can spot a faint blush tinting her cheeks as she hangs her apron and comes over to the tiny living room to curl up next to you.

tsukishima is busy flicking through reality tv channels, trying to find something interesting to watch. you wrap your arm around yachi’s shoulders and plant a kiss on her temple.

the apartment that you share is barely big enough for everyone to fit comfortably in. you often find yourself knocking something off of the kitchen counter accidentally, and hearing a dull bump with a tired ‘ow’ often means that tsukishima must have hit something with his long limbs again.

it’s cozy, though, and you wouldn’t trade anything for a larger place (though a bathtub does sound tempting). because there’s still scorch marks on the wall when yachi nearly burnt the house down while making french toast, and the tiny scribbles of your three faces on the wall behind the television when you first moved in.

tsukishima’s oddly sentimental about the thrifted sofa (despite a large, fish-shaped stain that he thinks is pee — you hope that it’s wine). maybe because it’s where he had told you and yachi he loved you both for the first time, or maybe because it’s the only spot where the three of you can cuddle somewhat comfortably. he makes do with his feet sticking off of the sofa most of the time.

there’s an old biscuit tin that yachi uses to store her hair ties and clips by the window, the dog design faded from sunlight. sometimes, she manages to convince tsukishima to let her play with his hair and he usually ends up with sparkly heart shaped clips parting his fringe in the middle. you can assume from his tired but amused face that tsukishima only does it because it makes her happy.

you take another sip of your beer. your face feels a little warm, but it’s not enough to make you tipsy just yet. yachi gently grabs your hand and steals a mouthful from your drink, her soft hair brushing against your arm. the remnants of her cherry tinted lip balm remain on the edge of the can. maybe it’s the food that’s making you sleepy? yachi’s weight rests comfortably against your body, and she radiates heat off of the soft bear-print hoodie tsukishima got for her birthday.

the lights are dim — you bought a cute mushroom lamp to reduce your electricity bill, especially since tsukishima enjoys staying up late. he’s seated on the floor with a pillow hugged to his chest. tsukishima leans his head against your thigh, blonde curls tickling your skin as he fiddles with the remote in his hands.

you let your sleepy eyes droop shut and bury your face into the crook of yachi’s neck. she lays her hand to rest on your thigh. tsukishima lowers the volume of the television and takes your beer can from you when he notices that you’re dozing off. he drapes a blanket over you and yachi not long after, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

love must be as natural as this, you think. as natural as the blooming of flowers every spring, as the waxing and waning of the moon.

𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 (𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐨) - the last line is a reference to tsukishima and yachi’s name. the kanji for their names respectively means ‘moon island’ and ‘compassionate flower’. this line was written in mind of the face that tsukishima is the moon and space, while yachi is the earth and flowers.

so what does this make the reader? you are a mortal human being, existing between these two great creations.

it is only natural for us to be in awe and in love with the earth and space, as all other humans before us have.

hence this is why the love is ‘natural’ (metaphorical), and also because when you fall in love with someone, it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact reason why you love them because you’re already caught up in the motion of doing so (literal).

i hope that makes sense! i honestly wanted to focus more on this theme but i got carried away with how a small home is often packed full of memories that you often don’t realise until you’re moving out, etc. i honestly would love to write about this pairing again lol it’s really cute.

i didn’t describe the apartment in full detail, but i got the idea of tsukishima bumping his head from this article. i also found this while doing my research, but honestly it’s more of an apartment for working couples than struggling college students lol
