20 questions for fic writers

Oh! Hello! I was tagged by @pinkytoothlesso11 ! Thanks for thinking of me pinky! I’m kinda new to the whole fanfic scene so i really appreciate it! This was already a long list of questions to begin with but i fear i may have made it worse…

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

Unfortunately just 2, though I do plan to add a few more in the future as ideas flow. Might take me a minute ‘cause my schedule is just a little bit kinda sorta really swamped down with my main child which requires let me you, A LOT OF CARE DONT SIGN UP TO ADOPT KIDS PEOPLE IT’S NOT—

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

Phew. ummmm it changes very rapidly (because i’m a girl w suspected adhd and can NEVER be told to shut up) with every chapter but as of this moment is 228,665! wow! i don’t really know how great of a number that is but i’m sure it’s a lot! I told you I can never shut up! (-whispers- Hey kid, u want some dRuGs? i mean- an update? That itty bitty word count is about to take another not regularly scheduled mini-skyrocket so get ready for it ehehe ;})

3. What fandoms do you write for?

For now, just Trollhunters/Tales of Arcadia, mainly Trollhunters despite the fact that the first of the Tales of Arcadia shows that i watched and really enjoyed was actually 3-Below, but oh well my man is in Trollhunters sooooo oopsie but i DO have some random snippets of fics for Miraculous (rewrite), the Star Wars sequels (rewrite), Batman, some for the Dream SMP, and weirdly enough also Raya and the Last Dragon (rewrite). All of which i prolly wont ever post because i wrote them a while ago and yeaaaahhh not my best writing but if i get enough people other than my best friend wanting me to post them, i might…

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

uhhhh i dont actually HAVE five fics to my name, so i’ll just…put em in order (w their long-ahh title names):

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes. At first, I sorta struggled with it (who the heck am i kidding i STILL do) but since my fic USED to be two times a week updates i would feel like i couldn’t respond to a comment left after i posted a new chapter so i might’ve left some comments in the earlier days unanswered, super sorry. Nowadays i make it a point to reply back to everyone in the order that they commented in because (anxiety makes me think if i don’t respond they won’t comment anymore and know that i love reading their comments and that they’re so amazing for actually taking the time to write something back AND I DO LOVE IT I PROMISE IT JUST TAKES ME A WHILE TO RESPOND—) …because it’s pretty chill to geek out w em and see they liked stuff that i loved to write! I do have a backlog of comments to get to i just end up overthinking everything to match the person’s energy to be sure they know i love em.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Unfortunately, i haven’t actually finished a fully-fledged fic to say it has the angstiest ending bUt definitely a contender would be chapter 1 of my 2023 Stricklake prompt collection because i just leave it on the sad note and don’t do anything about it because angst and because spoilers for my actual story fic that will eventually make it to that point.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Happiest ending, huh? I like to say that most of the things i will/have chosen to write end happy/hopeful because i hate when books/tv shows end bittersweetly it’s like i have enough with life itself being bittersweet most of the time let me be happy LET THEM BE HAPPY. But that doesn’t exclude me from providing the proper banquet of angst that ends in caretaking, my absolute favorite trope.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Oh heck no. I would be devastated honestly, but thankfully everyone who comments is always the sweetest and kindest people ever and really encourage me to keep going, for that i am only thankful.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No. Just no. I love romance but i am a minor, so i’ve never consumed smut nor intend to ever write it. Give me a soft romance and loving gestures, I can allude to greater happenings but not details.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I don’t, sorry. I don’t know something in me just doesn’t sit well with crossovers, for the life of me I don’t know why. Like genuinely i wish i could get into them but maybe it’s like food on a plate? i don’t like the foods touching each other so maybe the same rules apply??? yeah i’m drasticallydumb

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that i know of, no.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I don’t believe so, and if someone did they’re in for a heck of a lot of work there…

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! I’d like to sometime but i have no idea how one even goes about making a co-written fic, on top of which i am a very sporadic person in terms of motivation and random ideas produced by a song i’m listening to while writing.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Stricklake obviously is a really big contender if not the winner, the ship that brought me to AO3, writing fanfics, and tumblr. But, if i had to pick other options i’d say Eugene and Repunzel from Tangled would be one of my ogs, another might be uhhh Chris and Aviva from Wild Kratts the og of the ogs.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Chapter 3 of my stricklake 2023 prompt collection, it just has a lot of moving parts and me and my best friend are chronic procrastinators and with the month pretty far gone it might just end up sittin’ there for the foreseeable future 😞 but who knows

16. What are your writing strengths?

Phew, that’s a dozy mainly because i’m not super sure. I’d like to think one of my main strengths is descriptions and really putting you in the mind of the character, i don’t really like spelling things out and i like a little investigating to get you where u end up, u know? I like to think my writing FEELS a little more like a show on a page rather than a true book, most to blame would be my maladaptive daydreaming taking up a lot of time in my planning for my writing.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Ah. How the turn tables. I would say that my weaknesses in writing mostly consist of me going a little *too* far into detail on meaningless things or making it too convoluted for people to understand, sometimes spelling it out is better in certain scenarios and i just really need to get myself past that. Another one i would say is that i go REALLY into detail not only in a sentence/chapter sense but also a complete STORYLINE sense, i hate time skips and i shoot myself in the foot wanting to completely document every moment of everyday w a character and hence it seems like a lot of time in universe hasn’t gone by. Trying to improve and grow tho 💪

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Can’t wait to do more of it! Especially with Claire and her family (including NotEnrique) speaking spanglish w each other automatically mainly because i am hispanic and completely fluent in Spanish and live in a similar household so i just love to add a little ✨personalization✨ to my dialogue and interactions in that way. Other languages………….yeaaaahhh i’m not super good will prolly use google translate and hope.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Trollhunters, my gateway into AO3. HOWEVER. if you promise not to tell, the very first fandom i read/wanted to write a fanfic for was actually, as far as i can tell, Wordgirl. don’t ask why. don’t ask me how. it just kinda happened. But, officially, it’s Trollhunters. (maybe with a side of Warrior Cats).

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Not hard at all! My pride and joy, my youngest baby in the grand scheme of my writing journey, Trollhunter!Strickler: Destiny's Ill-fitted Chosen! A surprise to absolutely NO ONE. It’s honestly so amazing to both write and see people read and enjoy as much as I do, he’s my little man ❤️ And doing so much rewriting and character growth and having so much written and planned for the future, it’s just my absolute fav

Uhhh, hey haz, you prob don’t remember or know me, but I used to have my own spade queen oc with my own ask blog a while back. (I think you actually acknowledged em at some point) (Big dress with the spade mouth if that rings any bells)

I was too shy to interact with ppl all those years ago and I’ve since moved on from posting on tumblr (I don’t think I even have access to my accs), but I felt nostelgia and remembered your blog and came to it to check it out and wanted to say that I always saw you as an inspiration for art and stuff. I love your art and how you make stories with your characters for people to enjoy.

I also totally get how you would’ve felt encountering the queen in chapter 2 btw. As someone with my own headcanons and oc it did give me chills when I saw the official thing. I’d like to say that even though it feels like the character you built up is not as popular now that there’s a confirmed canon, people still love the character you made and your interpretations of em!

I think you could totally make your own thing with your own audience! I hesitate to use the term “AU”, but I as well as others would love to continue following along any stories you make.

(Actually, I sorta assume you already have something like this this in mind which if thats the case cool! or if not thats cool too!)

Regardless, I’m sending this message just to say I think you’re hecking epic, and that the stuff you make is good and has value to ppl.

Maybe you’ll keep queenie’s story ongoing or move onto other things, but I’ll be loving what you make regardless!

Oh yeah also I drew a lil thing with my queen interacting with yours or smthn (should’ve done this years ago tbh but here I am)

Oh…..thanking you, that does look familiar. (please don’t mind her, she’s not a very touchy person to most)

I do in fact have plans for an AU, since I can’t bring myself to ignore canon for the sake of something else I’ve already done that contradicts it, so hopefully it’s appealing to the fans of Chapter 2 as well as my veteran followers from Chapter 1 (whoever’s still here, anyways).

It’s not easy leaving behind what I started, but so far I’m enjoying the new things that I have yet to put out, and hopefully, others will too.

Mini Fanfic #790: Kind of Went Too Far. (RWBY)

12:45 p.m. at the Sidewalks of Mistral.......

Sun: (Starts Panting by a Nearby Pole Alongside with Oscar) Hey....('Pants') Oscar....('Pants') Do you think....('Pants') anyone noticed.....('Pants') that we're long ('Pants').....gone ('Pants')....already? (Starts Wiping the Sweat Off his Forehead)

Oscar: Maybe?....('Pants') Sort of?.... ('Pants') I really don't know at this point to be honest....(Starts Wiping the Sweat Off his Forehead as Well) Let's just hope none of them followed us all the way here....

Sun: Yeah......

?????: ('Ahem')

The duo turns and see Whitley standing behind them while crossing his arms.

Whitley: Do I even wanna know you two are up to right now?

Sun: Oh. (Smiles Brightly at the Youngest Schnee) Hey, Whitley. Oscar and I were just running away from an inevitable doom back at the house.

Whitley: (Raised an Eyebrow in Confusion) Pardon?

Oscar: ('Sigh') We were trying runaway from Yang and possibly even Ruby's wrath after Emerald made a comeback on their mom, Summer.

Sun: Who's not here with us in the land of the living..... Doesn't help the fact that Neptune laughed throughout the whole thing. So....here we are.

Whitley: I see.....Well, I can't say I blame those two for being crossed with her. Throwing insults on the dead does seem pretty distasteful if you ask me.

Oscar: ('Sigh') Tell me about it......But anyways, what are you doing out here, Whitley? Taking a scroll around town?

Whitley: Not necessary. (Points at a Building in Front of Him) I was simply going to the café on the other side of the road. (Smiles a Little) I heard their coffee was almost to die for.

Sun: (Smiles Brightly at the Café) Ah dude! You're going to the Mistral Café? Their coffee, expressos and frappuccinos are the best in the town!

Oscar: (Smiles Softly) I have been wanting to go there for a while now...

Whitley: (Sighs While Putting on a Deadpinned Look on his Face) I take it you two simpletons want to tag along, don't you?

Sun: Uh. Correction. Oscar and I are Huntsmen. (Went Back to Smiling) And hell yeah we wanna tag along!

Oscar: (Smiles a Bit Sheepishly) If you don't mind any company that is....

Whitley: ('Sighs a Bit in Defeat') I suppose I don't mind.....But you two are paying for your own drinks.

Oscar: (Simply Shrugs) Fine by us.

Sun: Yup.

Few Minutes Later Outside of the Mistral Café.......

Oscar: (Smiles Brightly at a Cup of Coffee He Just Drank on his Side of the Table) You were right, Sun. This has to be the best coffee I've ever tasted.

Sun: Right? (Smiles Relaxingly While on the Other Side of the Table) Told ya this place has the best coffee in town.

Whitley: (Nodded in Agreement While Sitting on the Middle of Table, Enjoying his Cup of Expresso) I agree. This Expresso is magnificent in it's own right. It might rival that to Klein's coffee.

Sun: Uhhhh....Who exactly is-

Oscar: (Turns to Sun) He's the Schnee Family's Butler, Sun. Or at least I....think he still is?

Whitley: He isn't really our Butler anymore. But he does seem to spend a lot more time with mother as of late.

Oscar: Oh, really? Cool. (Turns to Whitley) How's Mrs. Schnee been doing lately if you don't mind me asking.

Whitley: She's doing fairly well for the most part. Still adjusting to the outside world and whatnot. (Smiles a Little) We started to spending a lot more time together than before actually. Speaking of which, she wanted to if you and the others would like to accompany us on a trip one of these days.

Oscar: (Smiles Softly) I have ask everyone else about it first, but other than that, it's sound like a plan alr-

Emerald: (Came Out of Nowhere Slams the Table While Glaring at Oscar With a Black Eye, Causing the Boy Get Startled) ('SLAM') Oscar, you traitorous little shit!

Neptune: (Frowns Over Dramatically at Sun While Having a Black Eye of his Own) What the heck, man!? You guys seriously left in there alone!?

Oscar: Oh! Uh....(Chuckles Awkwardly at the Two Black Eyes Friends) H-Heyyy, Emerald..... Neptune....I uhh...Take it that....Yang has..... already pulverized the both of you.... didn't she?

Emerald: Yeah. She did. The girl literally tackled us from the other side of the room and gave us both black eyes. I couldn't even reacted to all of that in time!

Neptune: It took us five and half minutes to escape the house. And once we noticed that you guys were missing in there, decided to look for the both of you.

Emerald: And now we found out that you two have been here enjoying your little coffees this entire time while we suffered! The hell was that all about!?

Neptune: (Already in Comical Tears) I thought we were all bros man!

Oscar: ('Sigh') Look, guys, we didn't mean to abandon you two like that or anything.

Sun: Yeah. We were just scared of get wrapped up into Yang's fury. Sooooo....we bailed. And besides, in all honestly, you guys kinda had that one coming.

Emerald/Neptune: WHAT!?

Oscar: I'm sorry, but I'm with Sun on this one. (Turns to Emerald) Emerald, you flatted out insulted Ruby and Yang's mom in front them and everybody else in the room.

Sun: (Points at Neptune) And you laughed through all of that.

Oscar: Like seriously, Emerald, who would intentionally ask someone what shoes their parents was wearing while they're in a casket!?

Sun: Your laugh sounds like a literally hyena, dude. I'm sorry.

Oscar: And then you went and insult their grandma by saying she doesn't have any knees to pray to Ozpin or do some kind of....Double-Dutch or whatever!

Sun: Like, I've never once, in my entire life, ever heard you laugh like that. Hell, I can even ask Sage and Scarlet about this right now and I can guarantee you that they say the same.

Emerald: Okay, so maybe I did went a little too far on the mom and grandma comeback, but she started the whole thing first with the stupid shoes insult! How else was I supposed to get her back after that!?

Oscar: Make fun of her cape and Crescent Rose instead! I dunno! But what I DO know is that you NEVER disrespect anyone's dead relative! Even if you do wanna use it for a comeback!

Neptune: I didn't mean to laugh out loud like that. I had no idea those Burns would be THAT funny!

Sun: Look, man, I'm all for hearing a well deserved Burns as much as the next guy, but even I know I shouldn't laugh to one that involves something personal.

Oscar: You're already like a sister to me, Emerald, and I know you been through a lot before I met you, but if you really wanna makes amends with Ruby and the others, you can't be doing stuff like this.

Emerald: ('Sighs in Defeat') Yeah..... You're right.....(Turns to Oscar With a bit if a Regretful Look on her Face) I'm sorry, Oscar.....

Oscar: ('Sigh') It's fine, Emerald. I was never mad at you to begin with. But you know I'm not the one who you should be apologizing to, right?

Emerald: (Sighs While Giving Oscar a Simple Nod in Agreement) Yeah....

Sun: (Starts Ruffling the Top of Neptune's Hair) That goes for you too, bro. You need to apologize to Ruby and Yang for laughing like a hyena.

Neptune: ('Sighs in Defeat') I know...... (Glares at Sun) AND I'M NOT HYENA!!!

Emerald: (Gives Neptune a Deadpinned Look on her Face) You so did sound like one.

Neptune: (Immediately Turns to Emerald) WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON RIGHT NOW!?

Whitley: Once a hyena, always a hyena I suppose....(Continues Drinking his Expresso)

Neptune: (Turns to Whitley) YOU WANNA FREAKING GO, TWERP!!!?

Oscar chuckles lightly at the whole scene before he felt two hands covering his both his eyes.

????: (Giggles Softly) Guuuuess who!~

Oscar: Oh gee, I dunno~ (Starts Smirking Playfully) Is that you, Ozpin?

????: (Starts Snickering) Yeah, right! Like Oz could ever pull off a cute voice like yours truly.

The person remove two hands from Oscar's eyes, revealing herself to be none other than Ruby Rose while smiling brightly.

Oscar: (Smiles Softly at the Girl) Hey there, stranger. What are you doing out here?

Ruby: (Pouts at Oscar While Hugging Him) Looking for you, dumb-dumb!~ You and Sun had everyone back home worried.

Oscar: Even Nora?

Ruby: Especially Nora. She's already forming a search party for you as we speak.

Oscar: ('Sigh') Oh no....(Gets Himself Up From his Seat) Guess we have get back home then. (Turns to Sun) You're coming with us, Sun?

Sun: (Smiles Relaxingly at the Duo) Nah man. You two kiddos can go on without me. If they ask where I'm at, tell 'em I'm having coffee.

Oscar/Ruby: 'Kay!

Emerald: (Immediately Turns to Ruby) W-Wait! Ruby, about what happened earlier, I-

Ruby: (Immediately Held her Hand Up at Emerald While Giving her a Dark Glare) Not now.

Emerald: (Eyes Widened at the Sudden Glare Before Sighing in Defeat While Looking Down on the Ground in Regret) Right........

Ruby: (Turns Back to Oscar With a Soft Smile While Gently Grabbing his Hand) Let's go, Oscar.

Oscar: Oh! O-Okay. (Waves Goodbye at Everyone While Walking Back Hime With Ruby) See you guys later!

Sun: Later, guys!

Neptune: Bye!!

Sun: (Turns to Emerald) You doing okay, Emerald?

Emerald: (Sighs Once More While Slowly Slouching Down on Oscar's Former Seat) Yeah.... I'm just..... Feeling like I'm back to square one in all of this....

Whitley: It could've worse really.....Yang could've suplexed you and Neptune in front of everyone to see.

Emerald/Sun/Neptune: (Gives Whitley Confused Looks on Each of their Faces) ....................

Whitley: My mother suplexed a man for insulting Weiss during that time we all thought her and the others were dead. (Continues Sipping on his Expresso)

List 7 comfort movies and then tag 7 people!

I was tagged by @regina-del-cielo , who (unknowingly) decided to put me through a challenge. As a person who tends to not rewatch movies, I will get as close as possible to the concept.

1) The Aristocats (1970). When I was three I used to watch it once a day, sometimes twice. It's part of my very first memories!

2) Trading places (1983). Now, I have no idea whether people abroad even know about this comedy from the 80′s (there are racist characters saying the n-word and one of the scenes is set in the world trade center, so uhhhh do USAmericans even watch it anymore?) but one TV channel in Italy has been scheduling it regularly on Christmas Eve for, like, what, 20 years? Edit: since 1997. It’s kind of a meme but a few years ago I finally caved in and watched for the first time, and boy it’s hilarious. It’s not a crass comedy like cinepanettoni nor a sappy christmas movie, but a quite mature comedy. Heck, it isn’t even a christmas movie, it’s just set around christmas! Ever since then I often watch it together with my family when The Season® comes.

3) Ecce bombo (1978). It’s the first movie by Italian director Nanni Moretti. Definitely not a film you’d expect in such a list, but it depicts a generation of young people who don’t know what to do in their life and it’s just *on point* and extremely relatable, and the source of many inside jokes. The only problem is that, watched in a single setting, it can be e x t r e m e l y b o r i n g.

4) Allegro non Troppo (1976). Bruno Bozzetto has been called the Italian Disney and this is his masterpiece. It’s a homage/parody of Fantasia, so it’s composed of many animated segments accompanying a musical piece - but whereas Fantasia is purely art for art's sake, Allegro non Troppo shows Bruno Bozzetto’s talent for satire and cynicism. This and the animation is super pretty and creative.

(I could go on by complaining how the “Italian Disney” is almost unknown to the great public in Italy and had so little success that he only made 3 movies, and this because this joke of a country is not able to valorize its own creative people, but I digress)

5) The Blues Brothers (1980). That’s a movie I’ve last seen too long ago! But whenever I think about a movie I’d like to rewatch I think about this

6) Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1998). Listen. I was born in 1993. I was there when it all began (in this part of the world, at least). The first movie was kinda the cherry on top of the pokémon mania - and at first I didn't even want to see it because Mewtwo looked scary! It features some very juicy 90's sci-fi anime designs - à la Ghost in the Shell - which is just fantastic, and I'm actually still impressed by Mewtwo.

The CGI remake kinda sucks.

7) the original Star Wars trilogy (1977 - 1983)

Movies that I never missed the chance to watch any time they aired on TV. If I see them one more time I'm going to puke, though

Uhhhh I'm going to be honest, I don't ship things much. xD It's usually more a case of enjoying something in a particular work than a case of general "I want to see them together"-ness.

That said!

@it-refused sold me on Sans/Grillby with her Fired Up and Bone Weary series, years ago.

Garak/Bashir comes to mind mostly because I watched this video the other day, ahah.

I'm not sure if it counts when it's my own darned characters, but I am really enjoying writing Space/Ventro in the Abime Spire fic that I'm working on. xD It's just. Giant space monster cuddles are nice, ok.

LAST SONGS LISTENED TO

It's not my normal fare, but I've been slowly putting together a playlist that's supposed to catch the general feel of what Diamond might like to listen to when he's working! So listening to it has been part of the process.

(...It's thoroughly limited by what songs I myself am familiar with. xD)

(Disclaimer: I also wouldn't really describe all the songs in the list as 'easy listening,' hah.)

CURRENTLY WATCHING

Ummmm shoot what have I been watching. Uh.

I've been giving a few episodes of the Ductales reboot a try this week.

I was also watching Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts -- got through the first two seasons a few months ago, still need to watch the third. I've been watching The Mandalorian some, when my parents have it playing. And I've been meaning to finish The Good Place some time, but it's been a year since I last picked it up. :'D

CURRENTLY READING

Ahahaha, lots of things! Pretty sure I've read more new stuff in the last 8 months than I had in the preceding 8 years, heh... I keep meaning to ramble about it. For now:

I just finished N.K. Jemisen's The Broken Earth trilogy, and I liked it a heck of a lot! It's definitely my favorite of the new stuff I've read recently. (I mean. Needless to say the subject matter is dark, but... goodness are they beautiful books.) (Also: geology magic! :D)

Some other things that I'm still in the process of reading:

Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings series

The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

I've been rereading bits of the Vorkosigan Saga here and there! Mostly just following along with @psqqa's own read-through. :)

And, lastly, there's always fanfic. xD

HOW’S IT GOING?

Eh. Well enough, I suppose! I'm coming out of a few weeks of anxiety & low mood, but I think I'm starting to get my feet under myself again. Certainly feeling better, even if my motivation is still low. Just gotta... fix the sleep schedule yet again, hah.

Drawing is going well, though! I've been trying to do daily concept thumbnails the past several days, and it's been a fun exercise. And I've been doing more active video calls with friends, which has been nice. :)

1. What is the color of your hairbrush?

I have a wet brush that’s bright blue, but I also have a hairbrush that’s red!

2. Name a food you never eat

uhhhh...olives, but only when they’re on their own.

3. Are you typical too warm or too cold?

I’m always too cold. always, always, always. my fingers are currently freezing and so are my toes. I think it’s because there’s a loose draft in my room here somewhere, TBH.

4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago?

roses are red // 45 minutes ago // i was writing poetry // and answering all my asks in a row

i’ve been sending people asks in poetry form and they’ve been responding, LOL -- so there’s been a lot of poetry brain going on!

5. What’s your favorite candy bar?

either a nice dark chocolate bar or a green tea kit kat bar!

6. Have you ever been to professional sports event?

I’ve been to a few professional baseball games! gotta get out there and have some mass sports pride. one of these days, my american football team will be good again and I will get those tickets.

some half-hearted mumble-harmonizing to pentatonix’s be my eyes, so something along those lyrics!

8. What is your favorite ice cream?

either black raspberry (s/o to campus!!) or mint chocolate chip :)

a couple of sips of water, hehe

10. Do you like your wallet?

I do! It’s the first “grown-up” wallet I feel like I’ve ever had -- I bought it from camden market last year when I was in london, and it’s a nice pine shade of green and made of cork. unfortunately, because i bought it in london, it also means that it doesn’t hold american currency quite as well, but it’s okay, i make do, LOL!

11. What is the last thing you ate?

my dad made spaghetti bolognese and I ate that with a hecking ton of bread. it was fantastic :)

12. Did you buy any new clothes last weekend?

unfortunately, no :( i can’t remember the last time I bought new clothes. maybe january? february? before the pandemic started.

13. What’s the last sporting event you watched?

I think...I know it was definitely a pats game, and I’m pretty sure we lost, so it’s somewhere along the lines of pats v. ravens, I think

14. What is your favorite flavor of popcorn?

extra buttery, even though it would probably murder me :’)

@aleksandrachaev, and it was two thumbs-up emojis, LOL.

16. Ever been camping?

I have! I went a long time ago, like nine years ago long ago, I think somewhere out west? I slept on an air mattress, went to an outdoor bathroom, all that fun jazz! and the bug bites, LOL.

17. Do you take vitamins?

my mom: so you’ve got the probiotic, the vitamin c and the biotin...

18. Do you regularly attend a place of workship?

I don’t -- my dad used to go to church regularly, but other than that, I’ve never been to church and we’ve never been as a family.

i don’t know how this happened but I literally still have shorts tan from like, august. it is the middle of november, someone tell me how I got here. a couple of years ago, I burnt so badly on a trip to LA I was still seeing the tan months later, LOL. and most of the time, I have some fair flip-flop tan!

20. Do you prefer chinese or pizza?

chinese, because pizza has the ability to murder me

21. Do you drink your soda through a straw?

it it’s a takeout cup, then odds are good i’m drinking it through a straw, but other than that nope :)

white or grey, I think? i have some funky colored ones but i’m trying to change that

23. Do you ever drive above the speed limit?

i’m having flashbacks to a conversation I had with a friend who laughed at me for going five miles above the speed limit -- yes, I do, but only the allowed five miles above the speed limit and none more

24. What terrifies you?

oh, no, you don’t want to ask me that, we’d be here all day...being abandoned, I guess? being left by the people I care about, becoming too attached to people because they can leave and hurt me, spiders, heights, the pandemic, being hated, being alone...my own emotions, sometimes.

25. Look to your left, what do you see?

my tubby nugget! he smiles at me, and I feel a lil better :)

26. What chore do you hate the most?

i literally could not tell you how much I hate cleaning the grout in our bathroom tile. it is a CHORE.

the hemsworth brothers, but also someone I met abroad who was from perth and had the same name as me, LOL

ginger ale!

29. Do you go in a fast food place or just hit drive through?

depends on where I’m hitting, tbh -- if i’m in a hurry, we’re going straight through the drive-thru. but if it’s an event, then we’ll go in! have a fun time. sit for a while and talk.

i don’t think I have one, actually?

my dad, I’m pretty sure -- we talked about pandemic unemployment assistance :)

sushi, or whenever my mom makes steamed chicken. (i’m realizing it’s been so long since I’ve had that chicken and now I’m sad)

confucius jane by katie lynch, just to see if the lesbians stood up to the pedestal i’d put them on -- and hell yeah, they did!

right now, thursdays, because thursday is grey’s day!

probably, if you gave me enough time to think about it

like i like my men -- from afar, some of them are pretty, but do I actually like them? no

either my gray ankle boots I got a couple of years ago or my ‘gay lesbian snow boots’ that I use when it’s snowing something awful out, LOL!

39. Time you normally get up?

i’m supposed to be up at 8 am, but I’m usually up anywhere between 9 and 10am. I...need to change that, LOL.

40. What do you prefer, sunrise or sunset?

i love both! but I like sunset because I’ve never specifically woken up to see the sunrise, i’ve only seen it out of coincidence because I pulled an all nighter to do work

41. How many blankets on your bed?

three, at the moment -- a costco blanket, my college blanket and a five-below blanket

42. Describe your kitchen plates.

white with a floral border

43. Describe your kitchen at the moment.

it’s lived-in -- we have a side table that’s always at the risk of a collapsing, a power strip that runs a kettle, microwave and toaster oven (you can never run two of them at once otherwise the strip shuts off), kitchen mats that will never get rid of their crumbs and a healthy, healthy pantry!

44. Do you have a favorite alcoholic drink?

either pink moscato wine or a rekorderlig cider!

45. Do you play cards?

i used to a lot, when I was younger! when I got older I stopped finding people to be able to play them with, unfortunately.

46. What color is your car?

silver! (even though I share it with my sister)

47. Can you change a tire?

no, but I’d definitely like to learn :)

48. Your favorite state or province?

new york or california, honestly. probably california. it’s the place I’ve felt the most free :)

49. Favorite job you’ve had?

i’ve had a lot of internships but not a lot of jobs, but I’d probably have to say it was the one I had at dunks -- so many funny things and stories came out of it, and now I have enough barista experience to power my coffee shop fics for a lifetime!

Day five of Febufluff: "Dancing under the stars"!

'She was sittin' all alone over on the tailgate, Tan legs swingin' by a Georgia plate. I was lookin' for her boyfriend, Thinkin', no way she ain't got one'

"No, no, absolutely not! There's no way snickers is the best!"

"Why?!? What's wrong with it, Malcolm?"

"Oh, I don't know, Lilly, maybe literally everything about it."

Harley was trying to pay attention to his friends conversation, he truly was. He usually loved when his friends bickered like this, about the randomist shit like which candy bar is the best, and usually he'd join in, saying the craziest thing he could think of just to piss them off, but tonight he couldn't focus.

They were at a field party, something his friends had dragged him out to because "socializing (read: partying) is a fundamental part of college life, Harley, stop being such an introvert!", the field of long stalk grass swaying in the warm after summer breeze and the full moon and a thousand stars shining above them, without a cloud in sight. All of this natural beauty, and Harley couldn't keep his eyes off the truck parked in the middle of the party. Well, he couldn't keep his eyes off of the boy in the back of that truck, anyways. He was definitely a natural beauty, but not in the same context.

Soft, curly chestnut hair flowing in the wind, rounded cheeks with a rosy hue, pushing up by a big, toothy smile, twinkling brown eyes as he speaks to a person stood in from of him, arms flailing and hands waving in his excitement. Match that with a dark red flannel, tied in the middle over a black v-neck and a pair ripped jeans and call Harley a goner, because goddamn. He shouldn't be staring, shouldn't even be considering, he knows, because that boy definitely has a girlfriend. Or a boyfriend, or a partner. He definitely isn't single, thats for sure. Because how the heck could someone that hot be single? Hot, and cute, and seemingly funny from the way his friend bursts into laughter beside him at whatever he just said, a little proud grin on his face.

He stares for a little too long this time, not noticing that his friends conversation stilled to a stop until a shoulder knocks into his roughly, almost toppling him over. He regains his balance before glaring over at MJ, who just snorts at his expression. "Just go ask him out already, nerd."

Harley just shrugs her off with a light blush, mumbling, "I dont know what you're talking about."

MJ just rolls her eyes at him, scoffing, and pushes past him, strutting her way over to the poor boy with the confidence of a Male Lion, king of the pride, about to catch its prey. He rushes after her, calling out "MJ!" with through clenched teeth, knowing no good will come from his but also knowing that he can't stop her. She's a force of nature, once she got her mind set of something there's nothing you can do to stop her, except to watch and hope for the best. So that's what Harley does, trudging behind her begrudgingly, ready for whatever she was going to inflict on this poor, innocent soul.

The boy stops mid conversation as the two approach, staring at them curiously, those wide baby browns flickering between the two of them evenly.

"Hi." MJ starts, her voice even, emotionless as usual, before she sticks a thumb in Harleys direction. "This is Harley. He thinks you're hot, but was too much of a pussy to come over here and say it himself." She ignores his louder exclamation of her name and his now flustered face, rolling her eyes again before patting him on the shoulder and walking away again, throwing a "you'll thank me later!" over her shoulder.

He watches her walk away, cursing her out in his head before looking back to the boy, who is blinking owlishly at him, looking extremely embarrassed and slightly uncomfortable at what just transpired. Harley just blows out a long winded sigh, kicking his shoes into the dirt. There's an awkward pause, a few seconds where nobody speaks, before Harley forces himself to break it. "...I'm sorry about her. I- didn't know she was going to do that." He laughs, but it comes out wrong, choked off, rubbing at the back of his neck to try and rid of some of the heat that's pooling there.

Luckily, Harley seems to be on God's good side tonight, as the boy seems to shake himself out of his stupor, and laughs as well, light and airy and sounding real enough to cause Harley's heart to stutter and his cheeks to burn even more. "Its okay, I just wasn't expecting it. Ned would probably do the same thing." He glares at the person he was talking to earlier playful, who shrugs and nods along like he agrees with a shit eating grin. Harley snickers at the action, and relaxes, feeling the awkward tension in the air between to fade away.

'Soon as I sat down, I was falling in love, tryin pour a little sugar in her Dixie cup.'

Feeling a little more confident, Harley walks closer to the boy, still putting a comfortable distance between them, he doesnt want to make the guy too uncomfortable, leaning back against the tailgate of the truck. "So, what school do you go to?"

Harley knows this party is filled with students from multiple difference schools, and he can bet that pretty boy doesnt go to the same school as him. He definitely would have noticed him before now if he did.

"Columbia." Pretty boy responds easily, sipping out of his red solo cup before glancing back at Harley with a glint in his coffee eyes and a tilt to his lips. "Let me guess, NYU?"

"How could you tell?" Harley grins back at him, leaning in a little closer.

Pretty boy shrugs, before giving him a very clear once over and murmuring slyly "Lets just say I'm not the only 'hot' one around." Harley eyes widen, and his cheeks darken, a swirl of heat pooling in his stomach at the implication of those words. "...it's also written on your shirt."

Harley blinks, his mind freezing it's not so family friendly thoughts to look down and realize that, huh. It does say it on his sweater, a giant logo of NYU plastered right on the front. "...huh. So it is." Pretty boy laughs again, louder and heartier this time, and Harley cant help but to smile warmly at him, his face softening. God, he could get used to that sound. "So, what're you studying at Columbia?"

"Bio-Chem, mostly." Pretty boy gets out in between his chuckles. "Ive always been- interested in Spiders since I was little, especially after finding out how versatile a Spiders web could be. So now, I'm trying to find a way to turn a Spiders web, or a chemical compound similar to a web, into some sort of spray-on organic bandaid. If I could get it to work, it could help stop serious wounds from bleeding out, and could save so many lives." He seems so passionate about it, hands waving and eyes glowing, swirling with a deeper, darker emotion hidden under all of the excitement, looking something similar to guilt.

"Wow. Smart, funny and cute? Isn't this just my lucky day?" He sees the boy look away bashfully, cheeks growing a rosy hue , and grins. He notes that the boys friend, Ned or whatever, has disappeared, but doesnt dwell on it too long. "I'm in mechanical engineering. But I dont have this whole speech on what my final thesis is gonna be."

His cheek flush darker at the tease and his eyes narrow, twinkling with mirth. "Well, at least I'll be prepared when the time comes, unlike somebody."

Harley snorts from his laughter, keeping an eye on the boy out of the corner of his crinkled eyes the entire time. Man this guy is perfect. Can he get any better?

'Talking over the speakers in the back of that truck. She jumped up and cut me off,'

"Oh my god!" The boy gasps, sitting up wire straight all of a sudden.

Harley sits up as well instinctually, ready to help."What??"

"This is my favorite song!" The music that had become a faint background noise to Harley now becomes crystal clear, a steady rhythm with a good beat. "Come on, dance with me!" The boy holds out his hand, smile wide and toothy, brown eyes wide and sparkling and god, how could Harley say no to that?

He grabs the hand extended to him, and the boy drags them off towards the middle of the field, where a few other groups are bobbing to the music. He starts to bob along as well, head nodding and limbs swinging, singing along to the lyrics under his breath, and Harley can't help but to join along, dancing pathetically beside him, laughing his ass off, their hands staying intertwined the entire time. About halfway through the song, the boy grabs his other hand, and they start spinning around in circles, the both of them giggling like madmen the entire time.

They only stop once the song simmers out, another slower song replacing the steady beats of before. The boy places a hand against Harleys shoulder to regain his balance, dizzy from the spinning. Harleys dizzy for another reason, seeing the red rosey cheeks up close, his button nose scattered with small, barely noticable freckles and his irises full of gold and green flecks. Pretty boy doesnt seem to care about how close they are, just smirking at him slyly. He takes his hand out of Harleys grip and pulls out a pen from his flannel pocket, ripping the top off with his teeth. He then grabs Harleys arm with his free hand, pushing up his sleeve and scribbling something down, putting the cap back onto the pen before leaning up and pressing a light, careful kiss to Harley's burning cheek. "Call me." He murmurs softly against Harleys ear, pulling away completely and walking back to his group with a satisfied look on his face.

Harley blinks at the empty space before him, before looking down at his arm, seeing the messy scribble of a number, and a name. Peter. Harley touches it gently, his cheeks aching with his widening smile, before rolling down his sleeve and walking back to his own friend group, already pulling out his phone.

'Play it again, play it again, play it again.'

Ask game for Love square ship

Thanks for sending one!

When I started shipping them: Early season one. Well, sort of. The Bubbler was the second episode that I saw, and at the end where Marinette put Adrien’s feelings before her own, that was a point where I was able to say, “ok, I can get on board with this.” Seeing how they fell for each other in Origins is what really cemented the OTP status for me.

My thoughts: Such a vague question... I think they’re adorable and made for each other.

What makes me happy about them: They are completely mutually in love with each other.

What makes me sad about them: They don’t know that they are mutually in love with each other!

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Uhhhh.... other than salt fics that are not appropriately tagged as such, I can’t really think of anything recurring in fanfiction that annoys me that is specific to this ship. TBH, I feel kind of bad criticizing fanfiction when I’ve never managed to get any of my own fanfic ideas into a Word document, so eh...

Things I look for in fanfic: More fluff than a stuffed animal factory!

My wishlist: Eventual identity reveal; the two of them confessing to each other/realizing they are mutually in love; BIG EPIC ON-SCREEN KISS (where they actually show the kiss instead of a butt shot like in Chat Blanc); getting to see them as an actual couple for at least a few episodes (heck, ideally I would want to see them as a couple for the entire final season. I hate it when the couple doesn’t get together until the final scene of the series); post-reveal Sunday brunch at the Dupain-Chengs’ where now that they’re actually together, they go on about how they’re going to get married and have three kids and a hamster; seeing them get ice cream at Andre’s; pretty much all of the cutesy stuff from the Chat Blanc alternate timeline happening in canon minus Gabriel screwing it up; some form of future content where we canonically get to see their three kids and hamster. (Well, that was long. I wonder if anyone will actually read that.)

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I mean... there really isn’t anyone else. It’s no secret on my blog that Adrigami is my NOTP, and while I don’t totally hate Lukanette, I still can’t say I would be ok with them ending up together. Neither of them has any other really serious prospects.

My happily ever after for them: Do I even have to say it? Married, living in their beautiful house with their three kids and hamster!

He’s Mine: A BakuDeku Fic Spork- Chapter 2

Last time, the story started in the middle of an inexplicable fight, Izuku gave Shoto his phone number and had multiple houses, and Katsuki told Izuku he doesn’t want Izuku to call anyone by their first name but him! Because being controlling is romantic, right?? (Sarcasm.)

In today’s chapter, Katsuki attempts to confess his “love,” Izuku is forced to dress as a girl, Shoto kidnaps Izuku, I rant about people uke-fying my favorite characters, and Kirishima offers some terrible advice!

My friend Jaz: Bottom of his shoes Phos: Bottom of the uniform might mean bottom of the pant leg— Oh Me: I mean, valid interpretations all of them, but it really sounds like he's grabbing ass if you just say "the bottom of his uniform" because that's... where the bottom is... moving on.

I don't get it. Has Bakugou supposedly found Izuku's stare cute this whole time, or is this a recent thing? It's so outside the realm of possibility that it's not computing

(either that or it would have to be a "one of them literally fell from a great distance onto the other one" situation)

Ohhhhkay I'm just. So confused. WHY is Bakugou suddenly aware of his "feelings," WHY is he suddenly so much nicer, and WHY is he just deciding all of a sudden to confess his love?? That's the kind of thing you WRESTLE with, if you accidentally fall in love with the dude you've hated for like 11 of your 15 years of life!! Then it just transitions to the next scene because fuck internal monologue I guess Jaz: When did he become Your Deku? Me: THEIR TEACHER NEVER SHOWED UP??? BITCH WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO AIZAWA??? Also, wouldn't it naturally fall to Iida to take over and decide their next course of action, as class rep? Why are the girls all hijacking the class??? Jaz: They hogtied Iida, of course Me: They're putting their names on a stick... oh god... tHEY'RE ORGANIZING A DEATH TOURNAMENT "Deku come with me" "I'd love to but that's not the pairing of this fic" Jaz: Dhdududidifhf

I love how Izuku has no agency in this fic; he just goes with whoever and does whatever, helpless against the whims of those around him. And by love, I mean hate. I fucking hate that.

How strictly do you follow canon? — Since she is an OC with her own lore I would say pretty much . Of course there are some heres and theres and she changed a lot from the first time I dragged her out of the void of my head . I originally wanted to make more of a gag character but ended up taking too much of the screen if I’m honest . but of course , since there is many other lores and crossovers are a must , some things change once or twice .

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals. — Nora is a mentor character , supportive and most likely to be the ace under the sleeve like a Kisuke Urahara from Bleach or Sinbad from Magi --- you know there’s something fishy but there is a charm that even thought they are slidding in the background for the main character , their relevance is vast . As a mentor characters , she would often help with insight , understanding of complex things , giving moral lessons and giving others a sense of security whilst also making sure to throw hints about a doubious nature . Keeping a character around her to keep their feet on ground while never shooting down their hopes and dreams .

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?). — She is not approachable unless you have enough guts to -- perhaps even looks intimidating or hard to come up with something plausible to make the meeting more natural . And honestly , she looks like a mainstream angst character at first glance --- even I myself believe this and start having second thoughts ... :laughs:

What inspired you to rp your muse? — An old project I had archived in my closet of memories (?). She was the main , nameless character of a journal about , well , her and the emotions she had to deal with in the everyday . I will be seriously honest ... it was a self insert :blushes: after all it was like a personal journal I was doing on my darkest days . But after that , she became Sable -- the first character on her own -- who also served as a mentor ( but the story was much more dark , seriously ) and then just came to this . I even used the pre-prototype name lol . The idea was to put the whole story into a RPG pixel game or a short comic series where she ( Sable ) and the protagonist would wander around a city called “Nobody’s Home” , a place were people with “thats” ( what now are called Stalkers ) got dragged into and either confront their emotions and solve / comes in terms with them or get eaten by them ( a metaphor for suicide or dead by mental illness ) . The story was more or less about Sable teaching Nona ( the genderless protagonist ) about different mental states , issues and others and helping people solve them so they can return to the real world . Needless to say , the story ends with Nona returning after coming in terms with their condition ( funnily enough , the protagonist had a bunny shaped emotion ) while on the other hand Sable stayed behind along with her closest friend , who she question why he keeps being around if he could return himself , to what he replies he doesn’t want to leave her alone esp since she can no longer return --- hinting Sable committed suicide but by sheer will power remained there to help others to deal with what she couldn’t . Voez , the friend I mention , is even Victor from her current lore . Haha , I like recycling I guess . When I came with Nora , it was mostly to kill time and altered her base story a bit since the original plot was way to close up to make an interaction .

What keeps your inspiration going? — How well received she became , I know it sounds a bit ... uh , bad . But I honestly never expected people to like her . heck I even have my doubts about myself liking her haha . plus I know it’s not easy to deal with a character with a somewhat meta power ... I still struggle from time to time but I’m managing and having the support I have atm is something that keeps me going . I love plot a shit lot . I love to come up with ideas with others . To expand what I already have . besides , there is so much I haven’t write down yet that is about her lore but I’m a bit insecure yet . I guess I’m too used to forums where everyon follows a general plot haha ... old habits die hard .

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character? — I absolute love this and need this . It comes easier for me to make a 20 word pages of information about stuff if I’m asking specifically about it . even add explanatory drawings with it lolol since I’m kinda bad with words . besides , showing me interest on a character would just fire the heck out of me to keep going . I mean , everyone likes to get some curiosity and a chance to develop more their characters , canon or not .

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why? — I would for sure . I’m not smart and I actually do a shit ton of research --- but even so I can miss a lot of shit people would say <nah that’s not how it works> and that would be helpful as heckie . but of course , needing the why also would tell me if the person disagreeing is doing it with a solid ground or just because they are being a piece of crap . I’m really tired of tumblr mentality and shitty people who aren’t mature enough to act decently .

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it? — you cannot like everyone or have everyone like you either . I don’t really care much ... esp since nora is an original character . if it constructive critisism , okay -- I will take it , but gimme a solid reason other than “ your character is / is not ... “ and then give a crappy critique because she doesn’t fit your agenda or standards .

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it? — you are fucking free to unfollow me and ignore me for the rest of your life . I really don’t get the point of hating on the internet just because and keep promoting your hate just to be a pain in the ass .

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors? — I fucking wrote in my rules that people are even fricking free to fix my grammar and english because holy heck , even to this day I still do some ugly shit . I’m dumb , help ...

Do you think you are easy going as a mun? — ehhhhhhhhhhhhh, kinda . I take everything with water . whenever it’s of ideology , people as it is , characters ... I am quite tolerant and try to keep the “okay this person thinks this way , fine .” but as long as nobody crosses the line where they try to spoil it for me or others , I get super bitter . I love OOC , getting to know the one behind the character makes me feel more secure about coming to them and just rambling about plots and hcs and whatever idea got in my mind . but if I see someone and , forgive me god for misjudging , see them as a person that will put me on my nerves -- I won’t even try . as for the friends I have and those who don’t know me as much ... I am obnoxiously sporadic and have a lot of ups and downs very often . one day I could be talking 100 words per second others I will just take a fucking week to respond . honestly , I had mined my social skills for two years plus several other irl stuff previous to that , so I’m always a bit too anxious around people , esp people I REALLY like . I’m insecure as heck , if someone is vague ( just because , idk , it was a lazy day for them ) I think at least 10 different reason why probably that person hates me now . I’m a bit dumb 26 year old baby .......... but I’m very aware that is completely on me . I’m a mess....... so , what was the question again ??? ... I , yeah ... it’s a kinda . but I try , at least haha.

1. what’s your favourite place to write?

oh this is ?? kind of a tough one bc i feel like i never Branched out in my spaces when it comes 2 being productive,, like a lot of my work is done in my bedroom just bc my desk is there and it’s the most convenient,,,, honestly im jus gonna say my favorite place to write would be from . my desk . bc it faces the window :-)

2. which character(s) from your wip(s) is your favourite?

since i only have wtsf confidently worked out ,, i’ll use those ocs !! but i think , quite Honestlie ,,, that wendy is my favorite character !! im rly in love with how she progresses as a person nd also she’s jsut . she gets it u know .

3. what are some inspirations for your wip(s)?

I TALKED ABT THIS BEFORE but b/ts’ hyyh series, my neighborhood, spring day by b/ts are a few inspirations for wtsf !!!

4. how did you start writing?

my dad got me hooked on reading when i was really really young !! and being able to read abt all these huge worlds nd being given an opportunity 2 fall in love w them rly inspired me to want to write worlds of my own . plus , i watch a lot of different shows nd animes that feed into my daydreams nd sometimes im like ‘yo,,, that was a good daydream,,,,, time 2 story it’ .

5. which of your ocs is most difficult to write?

uHGHHGHGS ARTHUR ...... trying to capture this like . enigmatic feeling while keeping close 2 his reasons for acting That way is actually ,, rly hard?? hes a tough cookie 2 crack but i will crack it .

6. what aesthetic do you associate with your wip(s)?

for wtsf ,,, quiet towns , lonely beaches , sunset nd sunrise ,,, running through the streets ??

YEA !! i see it more as like . being able to explore ur wip and what directions it can take nd its also jsut rly helpful to have a solid foundation .

i pulled this from my drabbles but: “Slow down.” Wendy grabbed Arthur’s wrist, pulling him down to sit on the sand. “This world can’t keep up with you.”

yes and no ?? im very particular to the kind of music im listening to nd more often than not, i write in complete silence ,,, but sometimes i’ll find a song that i feel rly fits the vibe of what im writing nd i just put it on repeat HGSHJK

10. what do you like most about your own writing?

i think i like the descriptive aspects of it ?? like how i describe places nd feelings ,,,, :-) !

11. what are/were/would be your ocs favourite subjects in school?

everyone except piper in wtsf is graduated from high school but ,, wendy liked english class the best bc it was fun nd she got good grades !! rafael definitely loved psychology nd took it at an ap level ,, arthur liked math nd chemistry .. chemistry he liked More bc he got 2 blow stuff up SKKSKSEH and piper likes world history!! tho shes not good at it . but she likes it!!

definitely novels !! its a format i’ve pretty much grown up w and im more comfortable w this medium than any others GHSHJKS but i’d love to explore like ,, screenplays nd see where that takes me

HYLLY SHITTTT THIS BRINGS ME BACK SJHJHJGJKS i used to draw a lot back when i was younger nd so i had this oc JHJS his name was ian and he was meant for the maximum ride universe but he was a dumb dude who was 2% cat . nd he had an adopted sister ,, i forgot her name but she was part bird .

what was your first wip about?

world end club is supposed 2 be abt a group of teens who work together 2 take down a corporation that wants 2 essentially control the artificial island they live on thru engineered soldiers . ITS A CONCEPT ,, nd it requires a little Too Much for my one brain cell to think abt

thoughts on shakespeare?

uhhh no thots bc i never read his work in high school i jus know macbeth is cursed .... wow i rly dont know anything abt shakespeare huh .

o this is TOUGH i rly adore both .......... im gonna . im gonna go w prose . i lvoe poetry so much sometimes there are lines that just rly fucken punch u in the face but im gonna go w prose bc its familiar !!

oKAY SO im gonna try to not make this too long SJKHJGS !! wendy is a very like . prickly character . shes like a cactus . nd she’s not too fond of letting ppl get close, but the ppl who do manage to get close to her are happie 2 learn she would actually die for them . loyalty is a Huge Huge part of her character, and she cares very deeply abt the people she calls family . shes also v sarcastic nd like . ‘open ur eyes dummy’ .

arthur is a kind of person who lives heavily on false pretenses . like he projects this image bc its an image that he can control nd he jsut Rolls w it , but hes actually someone who likes 2 tease his friends nd be friendly to them ,, hes got Issuez nd is very much the type of person to be like ‘o lol im ok :-)...’ nd prioritize the needs of others

rafael is , in all honesty , just babey . he studied a lot during high school nd rly pushed himself beyond his limits bc he wants to be able 2 go 2 a good college on scholarship nd get a job 2 support his family , nd hes just ?? very responsible nd sweet but that can also manifest into him taking on more than he should nd burning out .

piper is a very ,, honestlie kinda sad character kjHGJSJ she spends a lot of time just trying 2 appeal to other ppl bc she knows her interest in the supernatural make her a ‘weird’ person nd she wants to be able 2 have real friends ,, but when she learns 2 let go of this she’s very silly nd always making jokes During The Right time ..

I was tagged by @the-unwritten-writer (HI HELLO) for these cool kid questions which can I just say :D I’ve seen this one before and it looks cool so thank you for tagging me! Rules: Answer the 11 questions of the person who tagged you, make up 11 questions, then tag 11 people to answer them.

When did you start calling yourself a writer? I think it was around 2016? I’d been writing since 2013 but always casually, always because I wanted to, it was never serious. But I wrote Sonder for the first time in 2016 so I went ‘huh well I wrote this entire novel - guess I’m a writer.

What type of music do you listen to on the daily? Would you say it reflects your writing? I’ve been listening to this playlist I made for walking a lot recently (because I’m walking a lot lol) and you’d be hard-pressed to find a song in there that I don’t associate with a story.

Do you write more in the day or the night? Which do you prefer? I think I prefer writing in the day because I don’t get hecking tired, but I write mostly during the night.

Do you prefer writing things out on paper, or typing them? Typing 100% - my handwriting SUCKS so not being able to read what I’ve written is a major issue. Although I did once write in a notebook and when it came to editing, I had a Good Time with that.

What’s something you’ve had to Google for your WIP (or anything you’ve written) that would make someone pretty suspicious out of context? Beyond the usual ‘how much blood does a person have to lose before they die’ and ‘bullet wound fatality’ - Collateral had me searching up so many illegal things. Hacking based especially.

Who was your first OC? Tell me about them! Oh no uhhhh my first first OC? That’d be like an imaginary animal or something. We could just go with... let’s just go with the first OC I can fully remember. Oh, wait it’s Andy that’s no better. Okay, he’s this punk who really isn’t in the wrong - he’s a hungry kid who wants to Not Be Hungry and is willing to do borderline anything to make sure he’s not. Most of the time he can be found snarking at people or, if it’s winter, ice skating around. Like everyone who lives in Glalis, he has white hair because Edgy Trade Is Edgy, and he wears a red hoodie 84% of the time. While I was writing Sonder, I also wore a red hoodie 84% of the time. Coincidence?

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received? Write. Or the advice to cut down on the word ‘just’ because holy heck did I overuse that.

Who’s your favorite author? What do you admire most about them and/or their writing? I don’t have one so have a list: I admire Alice Oseman for tackling topics that are IMPORTANT but no-one talks about (RADIO SILENCE I’M LOOKING AT YOU) and for her dedication to her craft (Heartstopper, anyone?). I admire Sarah Barnard for talking about girls being friends in the same way people talk about romance (Beautiful Broken Things broke my fucking heart). I admire Michael Grant for approaching issues he’s faced himself and putting them into fiction (Messenger Of Fear primarily, I don’t think he’s been stuck in the FAYZ before). I admire Scott Westerfeld for having such a freaking diverse range of books (I’ve read most of them. I love most of them). I admire Adam Silvera for writing a book I needed desperately and also for unashamedly writing about his own issues (History Is All You Left Me is so tender man). I admire Rebecca Stead for writing for an under-represented market and making it So Damn Good (Liar and Spy is such a good book go read it). I’ll stop for now c;

How much research do you put into your writing? Are they quick Google searches, or lengthy research sessions? It depends - Sonder was mostly a ‘shit wait how does this thing work’ and a quick Google search. Collateral I am still in the process of revising for, and it’s been two years. So - depends how much experience I have in the topics I’m writing about. WIP 3 I plan to literally learn the basics of the violin which will not be a small thing, so it’s looking like a big project again

Do you have a pet? Can I see them, please!? Yes, we have a tortoise named Georgie, she’s under this question thing because the formatting is angry at me.

If you weren’t a writer, what else do you think you’d be doing? Probably trying to be an artist of some sort. Maybe an animator? Something in the media, definitely. Making stories. Reading books.

warning(s): uhhhh....none? Small angst I guess.

Author’s Note: This is like the first thing that I’ve written for Amy like just her. It’s kind of crappy, but I just wanted to get something written down for her backstory since the only people that knew her backstory were myself and @spider--bae. So, here is Amy’s backstory with Jughead.

Age 4

It was a normal day at the park like any other. Amy and Archie were in the sandbox with Betty. They were the three amigos, and it was practically impossible to split up their trio. Amy had made friends with everyone at the park, but she chose to stick by the side of her brother and their neighbor. However, after a while, Amy noticed that there was one boy who was playing by himself in the sand. He wore a knitted hat on his head that was far too big. Amy hated to see anyone by themselves, and she always wanted to be friends with everyone, so she took it upon herself to befriend the dark haired boy.

“Hi, I’m Amy. Can I play wif you in the sand?” She questioned once she had waddled over to him.

He looked up at her, a confused look on his face before he shrugged, “Sure.”

Amy sat down beside him as she started to play with the sand, “Whas your name?”

“Jughead.” He was quiet in his response, clearly insecure about the nickname.

Amy’s eyes went wide as she looked over at him, “Das a really funny name. I like it!”

The boy smiled in relief that she liked his name. He was quiet, but while they played in the sand together, she did most of the talking for him, which he really appreciated.

“Would you like to come meet my brover?” Amy asked after a while.

Jughead pondered the decision for a moment before he nodded, causing Amy to smile as she jumped up from her spot and tugged on his hand. She pulled him over to the sandbox where there was another boy with red hair and a girl with blonde hair that looked at him when Amy came back.

“Dis is Jughead. Jughead is my new friend.” Amy introduced, “Jughead, meet my brover Archie, and our neighbor Betty.”

From that day forward, Jughead and Amy were practically inseparable. Every day they played together at the park, whether it be chasing each other around the playground, reading books together, or just playing in the sand together. They were the best of friends, never to be messed with.

Age 10

“We have to be quiet, Ames.” Jughead said, pushing the VHS into the player as they sat in front of the TV in her basement, “My dad says I’m not allowed to watch this scary of a movie yet. He says I’m too young.”

The two had decided it was a good idea to sneak down to Amy’s basement and watch It for the first time. Amy and Jughead hadn’t watched very many scary movies together yet, mostly just Goosebumps, so this was a huge step in their friendship.

“If my dad catches us, Juggie, we’re going to be in big trouble.” Amy stated.

Normally, Archie would be watching the movie with them, but lately he had decided he’d rather do more sportier activities. Whereas Amy and Jughead would rather read and watch scary movies together. Jughead pressed play on the player before he moved back to sit on the couch next to Amy.

Throughout the movie, the two stayed relatively quiet. There were a few moments where Amy hid behind a pillow and Jughead would hold her hand to get her through the scary part. It was nice, and Amy could feel her cheeks growing warm whenever he’d hold her hand.

However, one scene in the movie was enough that even Jughead holding her hand couldn’t stop her from screaming out in terror.

“Amy, shush, it’s okay! It’s just a movie.” Jughead assured as he hugged her.

“What the heck is going on down here?” Fred asked, rushing down the stairs. He noticed the movie playing on the screen, “Are you two watching It? That movie is way too scary for you two!”

He was quick to shut the movie off before he looked at Jughead and Amy. Both of them had guilty looks on their faces.

“You two were supposed to be asleep over an hour ago, and now I find that you’re watching a movie that I know you have been told you’re too young to watch. What do you have to say for yourselves?” He scolded.

“Sorry, Mr. Andrews.” Jughead said sadly.

“Sorry, Dad.” Amy responded at the same time.

“Amelia, you know better, you’ll be lucky if I don’t ground you.”

“Mr. Andrews, it’s not Amy’s fault. I begged her to watch the movie with me. We thought we could handle it.” Jughead admitted.

Fred paused for a moment before he crossed his arms, “Well, you two better not let it happen again. Now, both of you off to bed.” He stated, ushering the two children upstairs.

Amy went into her room, saying a quick goodnight to Jughead and her dad before she climbed into bed, waiting to fall asleep. She knew Jughead would be asleep in Archie’s room. Not feeling comfortable sleeping by herself, as she was still scared, she waited until she heard her father go into his bedroom before she climbed out of bed and walked down to Archie’s room. She slowly walked over to where she knew Jughead had set up his bed for the night and climbed under the covers next to him.

“Ames, what are you doing?” Jughead whispered so he didn’t wake up Archie.

“I’m too scared to sleep by myself, Juggie. What if Pennywise comes to me in a dream. Don’t let him get me, Jug.” She took a hold of his hand as she pleaded to him.

“I won’t let anything hurt you ever, Amy.” He replied before he gave her a small smile.

The two woke the next morning facing each other, still holding hands. It made both Amy and Jughead’s hearts speed up just the tiniest bit as they came to the realization.

Age 12

Lennon and Amy were quiet as they drank their milkshakes at Pop’s. The two had just finished their last day of seventh grade. It would also be Amy’s last day of school in Riverdale.

“Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider?” Lennon asked after a while.

Amy frowned and nodded, “I don’t want to leave my mom by herself, Lennon.”

“Have you told Jughead? He’s going to be so lost without you here.”

Amy felt her heartbeat speed up at Lennon’s question, “I’m going to tell him tonight when he comes over for movie night. He’ll be okay. He’s got you and Archie.”

“Neither of us are you.” Amy rolled her eyes lightly at the brunette’s words, “If you aren’t staying for me, you should be staying for him. Everyone knows how you feel about him.”

“Yeah, except him.”

“Alright, I’ve got the popcorn and candy. What movie are we watching?” Jughead asked as he sat down on the couch in the Andrews’ basement.

“The Princess Bride.” Amy replied with a grin causing Jughead to roll his eyes.

“You’re lucky I like you, Andrews.”

Amy’s heartbeat rapidly increased at his words, knowing that he didn’t mean them in a certain way other than he enjoyed her friendship, but one could have hope.

She grinned over at him before she picked up a handful of popcorn and started to eat them piece by piece after pressing play on the remote. She didn’t want to think about the fact that this was likely the last movie night she would be having with Jughead for a while. She knew it would only bring down her mood and that Jughead would definitely know that something was going on with her. She just decided to take it lowkey throughout the movie, so she could tell Jughead when it was over.

After about twenty minutes into the movie, Jughead reached up and grabbed the remote before he looked over at Amy,

“Alright out with it.” He stated. Amy gave him a confused look in response, “Normally you’d be reciting the movie word for word. What’s wrong?”

Amy hated that just that one thing meant that Jughead could read Amy like a damn book. He knew he so well it was scary sometimes.

“I was waiting until after the movie to tell you because I didn’t want to ruin everything, but I guess I have to tell you know.” She stated, turning her body so she was facing Jughead. She took a breath before she looked up at him, “My parents are splitting up, Juggie. My mom is moving to Chicago.”

“Oh, Ames, that’s awful I’m sorry.”

Amy held out her hand to stop him from speaking more, “I’m not done.” She paused before frowning, “I’m going with my mom, Jug.”

“To like help her move out there and stuff? Is Archie going?”

Amy could feel tears in the back of her throat as she shook her head, “No, Juggie. I’m moving out there with her. Archie is staying here.”

“What do you mean you’re moving out there? What about your dad and Archie? What about Lennon?” He paused as he frowned at her, “What about me?”

“I can’t just let my mom go out there by herself. She’d be leaving her only two children.”

“And splitting up you and Archie is a better plan?!” He exclaimed, standing up as he started to pace around the basement.

Amy let him pace and come to terms with what she was telling him before he stopped and turned to her,

“When are you leaving?”

“Next week.”

“Next week?! You’re going to just drop this bomb on me and then leave?”

Amy frowned as she stood off the couch, hurrying over to him to comfort him. She went to reach out for his hand before he pulled away.

“Juggie, please don’t be mad at me.”

“Be mad at you? Ames, I’m devastated. You’re my best friend, and you’re moving to Chicago, and you just want me to deal with it and act like you mean nothing to me.” He shook his head as he frowned, “Sorry, I can’t do that.”

By now the tears were flowing down Amy’s face as she looked up at him, “I don’t know what else to do, Juggie.”

He sighed before he cupped her face in his hands as he looked down at her, “Stay, Ames. Stay here with your dad and Archie...stay here with me.”

“I can’t, Jughead. She’s my mom.”

That was when Amy noticed that Jughead was also crying. She had no idea that this would hit him so hard. She figured that he had Lennon and Archie and Betty, and he would be okay without her there. She could feel her heart breaking at the sight,

“I’m sorry.” She said softly as she pulled him in for a hug.

Age 12 - Goodbye

Amy sighed as she put her last suitcase in her mom’s car. She had already said goodbye to Lennon earlier that morning over egg sammies. There were definitely a lot of tears shed and promises to keep in touch no matter what. Amy had said goodbye to Archie when they packed up the car. Amy cried but Archie stayed strong. Lastly, Amy had said goodbye to her dad after Archie with a promise that she would call him that night when they arrived. Jughead had yet to show up, and Amy couldn’t stall anymore despite her best efforts.

She put her headphones on as she got in the car, ready to get this long drive over with. She waved to Archie and her dad as her mom pulled away from the house slowly. Amy felt like she was saying goodbye to her whole life, and yet she hadn’t even gotten to say goodbye to her whole world.

Amy looked in the side mirror as her mother drove down the street. After a moment, Amy saw something coming into view, causing her heartbeat to speed up as she recognized who it was.

“Mom, stop the car.” Amy stated as she looked over at her mom.

“What?”

“Stop the car!”

Mary put her foot on the brake and slowed the car to a stop. Amy tugged off her seatbelt quickly before she got out, leaving the door open as she ran toward Jughead. He skidded his bike to a stop before getting off and rushing over to Amy, pulling her into a tight hug,

“I’m sorry I waited until the last minute. I was in denial that you were actually leaving.” He apologized instantly.

“I thought you weren’t going to say goodbye.”

“This isn’t goodbye, Ames. This is a see you later, because I refuse to believe that I will never see you again.”

The two pulled back slightly, looking at each other with small smiles. Jughead opened his mouth to speak before he closed it quickly, his smile turning to a frown.

“Amy, I…” He drifted off for a moment as he looked down at her.

Amy’s heart was beating a thousand beats a second as she waited for him to continue.

“Have a safe trip. Call me when you get there.” He finished.

Amy frowned as she felt her hopes fall and shatter before she put on a fake smile and nodded before hugging him tightly,

“I’ll see you later, Juggie.” She said before she pulled away and started to walk back to the car.

“Did he tell you his feelings for you?” Her mother asked when she got back in the car.

Amy felt a tear fall down her face as she shook her head, starting at the reflection of Jughead still in the side mirror,

“No. He told me to call him when we get there.” Amy replied quietly.

“I’m sorry, Honey.” Mary stated as she held her daughter’s hand in her own.

Amy sighed before she pulled her hand from her mother’s, putting her headphones back on,

“It’s fine. Let’s just get back on the road.”
