I miss the days of legendary badfic. Where your fic could be so terrible, so horrifying, that it becomes a monster in its own right. I'm in Kingdom Hearts fandom. I remember the Kooshball fic. Nothing can possibly match its rapid acceleration into madness.
EDIT- Because I forgot people would look it up out of curiosity, the fic is NSFW. Link right to it and triggers in the readmore.
Triggers include rape, body horror, blood/gore, castration, multiple penises, bestiality, unbirth, underage character (present but not involved in most of the sex acts, somehow), the phrase "anal soul bond". Not necessarily in that order.

Kamal writes bad fanfiction Kamal writes the WORST most CLICHE RIDDEN most SELF INDULGENT MEANDERING RIDICULOUSLY ELABORATE METAPHORS and he will Never Stop ( If you troll him he will cry). He's not super confident about them either but the love of the game keeps him coming back and he's been doing fic for a LONG time.

Carmen apagó el sonido insistente de la alarma y se levantó con rapidez. Sabía que si sucumbía a la tentación de aplazar la alarma acabaría por quedarse en cama varias horas, pero no podía ser, necesitaba ser productiva en este día. Era su primer día al frente de su departamento de la empresa recibiendo al nuevo becario y tenía que mostrarse segura de si misma. Su posición nunca era algo seguro, especialmente cuando sus compañeros eras dos hombres que aprovechaban al mínimo desliz para apuntarse sus logros como propios. Y encima ahora se iban de vacaciones dejándola sola durante los días con más volumen de ventas del mes.
Perdida en sus ensoñaciones, de metió en la ducha y se lavó a conciencia. Se secó y su reflejo le devolvió una mirada pensativa a través del vapor. Suspiró y se visitó, escogiendo un outfit que fuese suficientemente casual para resultar cercano, pero profesional. Justo cuando acababa de maquillarse, sonó el timbre. Sin tener tiempo de echar un último vistazo en el espejo medio empañado del baño, abrió la puerta al que sería su nuevo becario.
– H... hola... La señorita Diéguez, verdad?. – Tras la puerta, un joven de cabello espeso y oscuro, ojos penetrantes y sonrisa tímida la esperaba.

Do you ever come across a fic that you can't tell if it's genuinely incompetent or the most masterful troll you've ever seen? I'm reading Going... Home? by Voiddylan5 and it is hilariously dumb with strange glimmers of thinking that this author might actually know exactly what they're doing.
Generally I can tell if something is written by a troll by the prevalence of errors, memes/references, commonly-mocked clichés, and melodrama. Other times, the melodrama and memes are used to great effect and make something genuinely compelling or funny. I'd much rather read a ridiculous or maudlin fic that left me unsure whether it was truly written by a troll than an typo-ridden mess that obviously was. Sadly, the latter is much more common!
So, to answer the question: That has rarely ever happened for me, but when it does happen, those kinds of fics tend to be the most fun to comment on. Seeing tiny glimpses of competence in a sea of inanity is often the best part, because it means either the author's true skill is shining through, or they genuinely have potential but have a lot to work on!! Even if I (affectionately) rag on fics that are less than perfect, I always love the moments I can point at something and say, "There was almost something there for a minute!" LOL.
Thanks for asking this question! I never get to post here anymore, but my passion for badfic will never die. 💖

So I don't know if anyone has access to this.
A long time ago on the Pit of Voles (aka- fanfiction dot net), I found a Truth or Dare Kingdom Hearts fic rampant with out of character moments. Including Riku singing Shakira's Hips Don't Lie. I think the author deleted it because I can't find it. It's really a dumb white whale. But let's see if we can catch it.
Useful facts-
I don't remember the title.
It was a Truth or Dare fic where people would drop their truths/dares in the comments.
I had a filter on that removed M-rated fic, so it was rated K, K+, or T.
It was multi chapter. The infamous scene was somewhere in the middle (Chapter 7? Maybe 9? I forget.).
A user dared Riku to go on some reality show (forget the name) and sing this specific song.
The fic probably became a songfic at this point. Roughly 80% chance (20% allowed for human error).
I was purposefully looking for badfic, so it was rife with bad characterization. As if "Riku sings Hips Don't Lie" isn't enough of a warning.
Please help me find it or- if you have saved it- share your forbidden knowledge.

when Rose Christo first said she was the author of my immortal i was so excited bc i thought a native woman had written it and i even sent her a message, we sent a few messages back and forth talking about native representation and our cultures but i found out she is a pretendian 😒 it was just so disgusting for her to do that
Yeah. She was probably just regurgitating everything she'd heard other actual Natives say about representation and what not. And what's worse is that she was using the foster care system targeting Native children as part of her fake Native backstory that she was about to publish before her publisher dropped her because they found out she was racefaking.
I honestly think that she lied about being the original author of the "My Immortal" badfic specifically so that she could gain notoriety here to promote her "memoir" for when it got published, and she was probably going to use her alleged Cree identity to justify the shittiness of the first book "Wandering Spirit's Last Song" that she self published.

Seven years of Badficniverse!! Wowza!!
Hey everybody!! Thanks for still being here with us seven years later!! You might’ve noticed that I haven’t posted a lot of lately and that’s mostly because of real life stuff and me being ready to move on from the blog!
That said, I still have some submissions left over and some people want to still submit some fics to promote their fic. So while the blog is mostly done, I’ll try to post the rest of the submissions here there and I’ll leave the submission box open for anyone else. Just don’t expect them on a timely schedule, haha. (I know I really dropped the ball on them, life just got away from me. Sorry!)

Interview with the Vampire is really confirming that so long as an adaptation has a vision and is fun to watch I will buckle up and let it do its thing. I have an extensive list of complaints and quibbles that did not stop me from having a fantastic time and may have actually enhanced the experience. 10/10 deranged pining, Lestat's gay Catholic rage was a fun choice, and the devoted, obsessive infatuation hit my personal sweet spot, which is what I was most worried about. You see what Louis gets out of it and also what it costs him, and it sells the first part of that equation enough to keep me invested without brushing aside the downsides of being literally stalked and eaten. An earnestly horny and goth adventure! Very fun.
#i really disliked them killing off a sex worker and thought it was unnecessary for the story they seem to be aiming for#but I did sign up for a show about monsters who eat people#is this lowkey someone's smug badfic where they fix canon#yes#but you know what it's also a perfectly serviceable answer to the question of what would have happened if Louis and Lestat were trash bag#traumatized thirty somethings when they met#instead of trash bag traumatized twenty somethings#it is also (crucially) fun to watch#take notes Amazon elves#had you simply cast people with chemistry and then focused on building relationships between them#we could have talked#i am so willing to roll with your dwarf subplot on watchability grounds#so betrayed#by a show I a busy adult decide to watch every week instead of doing literally anything else with my limited time on this earth
