Hi, I would like to ask for a smut from Adam x fem Reader, he takes Lucifer's wife so he can get back at Lucifer I love your posts
THANKS ANON
warnings: previous lucifer x reader. unprotected sex (don't do this). degradation if you squint? like a brief mix of both degradation and praise.
- Lucifer's pretty ex-wife, almost looking more like an angel than a demon, which was one thing that Adam found pretty appealing. The attractive appearance, with the subtle demonic features? Badass. He was into it.
- Puts his plan into action. He knows usually he can get any girl he wants, he's fucking Adam, but you're gonna be special. You were Lucifer's bitch (affectionately), so he wants to make this BIG.
- He plays it real cool. Lucifer almost hands you over himself, sending you to a meeting Adam had requested instead of showing up himself. This was the second time Lucifer had bailed like this now, what a little bitch. He can't help but feel lucky that even after splitting, you were still on okay enough terms for Lucifer to ask you such a favour.
- You have a little chat, and he plays a few harmless little jokes on you. It's been a while since you've laughed this way, and you confide in Adam that Lucifer wasn't the most social. You missed him. He stayed locked away in his room, and you got a small "hi, sweetheart" now and again, but it just wasn't the same. Not compared to how he used to hold you in his arms, sing songs to you, like a fairytale type of love. You missed that. Which was why you left him.
- Adam couldn't help but scoff at this, he should've expected as much from Lucifer.
- "Y'know, he missed out on some good shit. You're a fuckin' hottie. I don't know what he was doing ignoring a babe like you." He says. It's meant to be... comforting? Maybe? In his own way. You're a little confused, but also a little flattered?
- You two start to gossip like friends would, and you become more comfortable with the man sitting a few seats away from you, completely forgetting about the business portion of this meeting (a.k.a. the bullshit Adam made up to even get the meeting in the first place).
- He brags about himself a bit, and you can't help but find it the littlest bit charming, in a funny way. He talks about his band, how he "fuckin' shreds like a badass" on the guitar, and how the fangirls go crazy for him.
- "I'm not too interested in them though. I have my eye on someone else. I mean- yeah, they're cute 'n all, but nothing compared to this one chick I've been thinkin' about lately. She's somethin' real special." he explains.
- "A cute little lady whose shitty ex-husband left her feelin' so lonely... and unsatisfied too, I bet."
- That's when you catch on, taking notice of the subtle flirtatious smirk that plays on his lips. You feel your cheeks burn the slightest bit, and you turn your head away, a bit speechless.
- Adam knows he has you now.
- A few sweet words later, and steps closer that you didn't even really seem to notice him taking, too busy focusing on his (slightly vulgar) flattery, you now feel each other's breath against your faces. The moment is tense, and his lips, now exposed after he removed his mask, ghosting over yours.
- The mask was quite the reveal. But you had to admit, he was not at all bad looking. He wasn't exceptional, but he didn't need to be. You liked him just the way he was. In this small meeting he had shown you more kindness and attention than your husband had in a while.
- One thing led to the next. A flirtatious glance, a gentle brush against each other's hand, and next thing you know, you're laying on your back on the meeting table, Adam between your legs, his lips on your neck.
- He can't help but leave you absolutely covered in hickeys. It's nice to be possessive over something. Someone who's his now. He finally turned the tables on Lucifer, and that thought can't help but bring a smug grin to his face.
- When he was joking around earlier, calling himself the "dick master" you thought he was kidding.
He was not.
- He fucking pounds you into the table, one hand on your waist, the other on your tits, feelin' you up and teasin' you to get you all flustered. He wonders how long it's been since you felt this good, but don't worry, he'll make you forget all about that.
- He can't deny that you feel (ironically enough) fucking heavenly. It's like he can't get enough of it. Not only is the sex itself amazing, he just can't get enough of the victorious feeling of getting back at Lucifer.
- Trust me when I say he has you SCREAMING. He's so fucking glad he didn't use the hologram, instead taking the risk of going down to Hell himself, just for the opportunity to feel that cunt on his cock.
- "That's a good fuckin' bitch."
- He honestly can't even quite help the filth that just comes out of his mouth so naturally, his language vulgar but.. kinda hot?
- He can't help but cum inside you and fill you up, groaning a drawn out "Fuck yes." as he hovers over you on the table.
- He's pretty happy with his new badass demon bitch by his side, and his visits to Hell on "business" become a lot more frequent. The business in question is just him fucking you in every possible position, leaving you covered in hickeys, kisses, and bite marks. You're all his now. Suck it, Lucifer.
THATS IT
it's almost 4 am so this is not at all proofread
so if it's shit
i'm sorry
edit: the cheating part made me feel bad so i switched it up

“So how was bachelor number five?”
With a roll of your eyes, you gazed at your friend Seungkwan resting his feet on top of your shared glass coffee table, ticking the tip of the city guide book and magazines rested on top.
“Boring. He was nice or whatever, good looking, but he wouldn’t shut up about league of legends and his job. Other than that he asked me no questions about myself or what I do. A failure as most would call it.”
“So I take it you wouldn’t want to go out with him again?”
“God, whatever gave you that impression? I thought you could tell we were headed for marriage?”
“Hey. I’m doing you a very nice thing, you don’t have to be so sarcastic about it.”
“Look, I know. But just because Jun is getting married and I still haven’t moved on doesn’t mean I need to be dating all of the sudden.”
The boy patted the seat next to him. Scooching over from his spot, making room for you on the couch.
“ It’s been nearly three years since you ended it with him. At least fuck someone before you dry up.”
“That’s fucking gross and what vibrators are for.”
A small scream left your friend's mouth as he covered his ears trying to remove what he had just heard coming out of your mouth.
“Y/n his wedding is in two months, we need to find someone to bring that’s not me. You don’t want to feel the embarrassment of his pity party and everyone feeling sorry for you.”
“Why can’t you just be my date?”
“Too obvious. Plus your whole family will be there, just do it or you know your parents will be in your case again. This ‘ secret man’ you’ve been seeing doesn’t exist and I think your Mom is starting to catch on.”
He was right. Your parents come from a high status, as do your ex boyfriends, they were the reason you both had met and became friends in the first place. But, when your relationship ended you lied to them, it was working well until you got a call from your very upset mother telling you Jun showed up to your house with his family and a girl on his arm that wasn’t you.
“Okay, then why can’t I choose my own date?”
“The men you chose to quote on quote date are literally disturbing, I’m sorry but it’s the truth. Like that one dude you brought here last time? Whatever the fuck his name was literally was wearing a necklace vial of his own blood and claimed drinking your own urine and reusing water is the only way we can save the planet.”
“Okay, but he was nice.”
“He literally didn’t flush the toilet because he only went number one. That’s fucked, no.”
“Can I at least, like at the very least have some approval over the men you match me with then?”
“Maybe.”
“ Kwanie, please. Come on, don’t make me use the what goes around card, it’s my turn”
“No, it's absolutely my turn.”
“Not true, you wasted it two months ago when I had to bail you out of that strange house party orgy thing by saying your dog died and coming in crying to a bunch of naked strangers. You owe me.”
“Valid.”
“How did you not realize what that party was anyway?”
“This is not currently about my life failures, but yours my beautiful friend.”
Laughing at Seungkwan's major mishap, you forgot to greet your dog, Lucky. She was waiting and crying at your feet, finally waking up from her sweet slumber to greet you.
“Hello my baby, do we have to go outside?”
“She went for a walk this afternoon, but after her dinner she crashed so she probably wants a walk. I can go if you want to change or shower.”
“No it’s alright, I can take her, you're already in your pj’s and after my date I need a distress, want anything from the mart?”
“Ice cream?”
With a small nod you jumped up, taking the small curly creature in your arms and grabbing her harness before heading back outside into the warm spring air.
Ten minutes into your evening stroll, you decided to sit on the green wooden bench overlooking the water, the same bench your grandmother always spoke about when you asked her the same story about how she and your grandfather got engaged. The gold plaque with their names rubbing off sitting behind your back.
Suddenly you heard a man yelling from behind you, running through the green grass lit up with fluorescent lights.
“Hey, Kkuma, no come back.”
A small white dog came up behind Lucky sniffing her and starting to play, you noticed her cute hairclip and ran your hands through her fur.
“God, I’m sorry. She normally doesn’t run off like that.”
“It’s okay my dog lov-“
As you turned around to look into the round eyes of the owner, you were stunned with how beautiful he was.
His dark hair pushed under a cap, a white t-shirt too big for his frame sitting beautifully in his toned shoulders, and his red sweatpants matching his shoes.
The unfamiliar man was bending down now petting your precious pet and his own at the same time talking to them in sweet baby voices.
“This is Kkuma by the way, and you are?”
“Y/N”
“Hi y/n, you’re so cute, you and kkuma can be best friends if your mom lets you.”
You let out a roaring laugh realizing he thought you had introduced your pet and not yourself.
“Oh sorry, did I say something wrong?”
“No, no. It’s just I’m y/n this is Lucky sorry my fault.”
“Oh god, cool. Sorry Lucky, I’m Seungcheol. You can call me Cheol and this is Kkuma.”
“Nice to meet you Cheol and Kkuma.”
“You too. Look I know I just met you and all, but I’m new to the area. I was wondering if you’d want to get coffee and let the girls hangout sometime?”
“Oh. Yeah, of course. Let me give you my number.”
Seungcheol handed you his cell phone with a new contact page pulled up giving you full reign to type your name and number into his list.
Handing the device back to him your fingers touched, creating an electric shock, to not like you to believe in signs, but for some reason it felt like the universe trying to tell you something.
“Thank you, I’ve actually got to get going, but if you're free tomorrow would you want to grab coffee and hangout at the dog park?”
“Yeah, totally. Just text me a time, we can just meet here. What kind of coffee do you drink? There’s a good spot by my apartment. I can just pick it up for us.”
“Wow, that’s so nice of you. Just a black americano is cool or a cold brew whichever.”
“No fun I see.”
“How would you know that? Just because I don’t like sugary drinks doesn’t mean I can’t have fun.”
“I don’t know, we will see.”
“We will. I’ll catch you tomorrow girls.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“You too!”
Seungcheol left the same way he came running through the grass with Kkuma on his heels, following him all the way back to their home.
Strolling back down the pathway back to your apartment, you could help but feel butterflies in your stomach, you knew nothing about the man you just met other than his name and his cute dog, but there was a lot of unknown.
Smiling like a Cheshire Cat, you unlocked the front door and watched Lucky sprint back into Seungkwan lounging on the couch, eating for the ice cream you had forgotten.
“Where’s the snacks? Also why are you smiling like an idiot you’re freaking me out.”
“We met a guy with his dog, a very cute guy might I add, who actually asked for my number and wants to get coffee tomorrow.”
“ What the fuck, it’s late tell me he doesn’t live in the park?”
“No he said he just moved to the area, he was clearly not a park dweller he had keys, and smelt amazing actually.”
“Smelling strangers? A new low even for you”
“Oh my god, fuck off.”
Seungkwan pulled his phone out and opened various social media apps preparing himself for best friend stalking duties.
“What’s his name?”
“Seungcheol, not sure about his last name, but he goes by Cheol and his dog was Kkuma.”
“Great.. okay, found him I assume?”
“What the fuck, how? Let me see.”
“Eager aren’t we?”
“Fuck off?”
Grabbing Seungkwan's phone from his grip, you scroll quickly through the new faces' social media.
“Yeah, it’s him.”
“Okay, let me see. Wait, he's actually hot AND seems to have his own business?”
“Oh my god.”
“Here, look”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the next few hours, you and your friend stumble on into your separate rooms preparing yourself for slumber, which never seems to reach you and before you know it dawn is creeping its way through your curtains, and your backup preparing yourself for a day with you and Lucky's new friends.
Something about your energy was excitable and nearing frantic, you could wait to step outside into the fresh air with your pocket sized princess at your side, but it was still early.
You had decided on pampering yourself for this morning, finding the need to make yourself up, you spread on your skin care with glee, drew perfect lines of eyeliner and strained your hair, pulling it up into a nice tight ponytail the hair tie matching the taupe tone of your sweat suit perfectly.  Before you knew it it was 9:45 a perfect time for you and Lucky to step outside the door.
Placing her in her tote bag, you stepped inside of your favorite coffee shop, the light pink walls covered in photos and paintings, the smell of the espresso seemed sweeter.
“Morning, y/n you look beautiful today. Would you like the usual?”
“Thank you, for me, yes. But can I also get a large americano, just black and he didn’t tell me iced or hot, so iced is good I think? Or maybe hot with a cup of ice on the side? If that’s okay?”
“He? Did you finally start dating someone?”
“Oh no, just a friend of mine. Seungkwan told you shit about me didn’t he?”
“Yes. Sorry.”
“No worries, can I actually get two of the plain croissants and two of the flower dog cookies too?”
“No problem, it’ll be right out.”
“Thank you.”
Taking a seat next to the pick up counter you scrolled through the instagram of the boy you’re meant to be meeting, telling yourself it’s just to remember his face, but really it was to get a peek into what else he’s into or if he was single.
“Y/N”
“Oh shit, sorry. Thank you guys, see you tomorrow.”
Picking up the paper coffee carrier and pastry bag, you waved goodbye to the baristas and briskly walked back to the bench you were at yesterday, your bench, spotting the back of Seungcheol’s head watching the water with his dog.
“Hey. Sorry I’m late.”
“Oh, no problem. I just got here.”
Placing your items down on the bench, you freed her bag and greeted Kkuma alongside her before taking your seat.
“Here’s your coffee, I wasn’t sure if you wanted hot or iced so I got you a cup of ice too just in case, a croissant, and a little treat for your girl too.”
“Wow thank you so much, hot is fine actually. How are you?”
“Good, nervous. I mean it’s not every day you meet a stranger for coffee.”
Seungcheol laughed, tipping his head back slightly before taking a bite of his pastry.
“Sorry. I know it’s weird, you just seemed like someone I wanted to get to know, and Kkuma liked you so I figured you’re good people.”
“Well, thank you. You too. Lucky generally does not like men other than my friend Seungkwan, my dad, and my ex-boyfriend so consider yourself special.”
“I do.”
“So what brought you to this neighborhood? Work, a relationship?”
“No relationship, but actually my business partner is from here. We decided to open our warehouse and stuff here because it’s much better than doing it in the city. We have a spirit company and we’re planning on opening a brewery and bar, so that’s why I’ve been working late nights. I guess it served me well, I made a friend on my first day.”
“You’ve only been here for a full day? What the hell? You already know the best spot in town. What kind of stuff do you guys make?”
“Beer and soju mainly, we’ve been working on it for five years now and are finally at a spot to open up and start selling it to people, which is cool. But what about you? What do you do?”
“I’m a medical student actually, my parents are both doctors, I used to really want to be one too, but I don’t know, I don’t really have the same passion for it as I used to.”
“Well what would you do if you had the choice?”
“I always wanted to design stuff for dogs, start a rescue, anything like that. I got so happy seeing Kkuma as an accessory girl.”
“Yeah, she’s very stylish. I think you should go for it, you know? Why waste time becoming something for someone else and risk being unhappy just for their sake?”
“Honestly I wouldn’t even know how to start a business on my own, let alone tell my parents.”
“Hey, I didn’t either and look where it’s gotten me.”
You turned back to the water, staring into the calm blue waters, trying not to go into your own head.
“You’re oddly inspiring, I’ll give you that much.”
“Thank you, y/n. You’re oddly sassy, I’ll give you that.”
“Shut up, I’m not.”
“You already tried to clock me by saying I’m no fun because I drink black coffee and you said oddly inspiring like a back handed compliment. You definitely are, but I like it.
“Good.”
Tumblr media
You had continued your twice weekly hangouts with Kkuma and her dad for two weeks now, getting excited whenever the days roll around to see the two of them again, but you haven’t hung out once without them around, which made you wonder if your friendship or crush rather on this boy was only due to your dogs being friends themselves.
Seungkwan tried setting you up on more and more dates with more and more duds, he was starting to lose hope himself, knowing that the one person he could set you up with was Seungcheol but he didn’t want to overstep.
Strolling home from another failed connection, you decide to stop and have a beer before going home to give the dirty details to Seungkwan about who you had just met.
Pulling open the tab of one of your drinks from your six pack, you took a deep breath and sat down, feeling your eyes welling up with tears.
Another can opened as you went to take the first sip. A hand comes on your shoulders, whispering a boo in your ears.
“What the fuck!”
Jumping up from your seat the hand on your shoulder belonged to Seungcheol, the look in his eyes went from happy to concerned as he saw the small streaks of tears on your cheeks, you top now dribbled with spots of beer.
“I’m so sorry, are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m good. Want a beer?”
“Sure, thanks. I’m sorry I scared you, I thought you heard me behind you.”
“It’s alright, I was in my own world anyway. You look nice, where are you headed?”
“Soft opening for my bar actually, I texted you, but I figured you didn’t respond because you were busy.”
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, I would’ve loved to come. I was a bit preoccupied on an awful fucking date.”
“That bad, huh?”
“Worse.”
“Well the good news is you technically didn’t miss it, it doesn’t start for another twenty minutes and you’re dressed very nice. It worked out.
“Fuck I wish I paid more attention, I could’ve got you some flowers or something.”
“Next time. Will your roommate be alright taking care of Lucky?”
“Yeah of course, he knew I would be out tonight. I’ll text him just to be sure.”
“Cheers to hanging out without our kids?”
“Definitely.”
With that suddenly your awful night and doubts about your relationship with the raven haired boy went out the window.
“Shall we?”
“We shall.”
Seungcheol lent his arm out for you to wrap your own around, and you both stayed out that way for a few moments, before discarding your cans and walking the way to his new venture.
“Here it is, you ready?”
“When you told me you were opening this up I thought you hadn’t even started? But it looks like it’s fully ready.”
“Ah, well we had planned to wait a bit, but we’re getting too antsy, so here we are.”
“It’s beautiful, holy shit.”
“Thanks, sit here, I’ll be right back.”
You took a seat on the green leather booth, looking around and taking in the ambiance of the custom lighting and ribbon like wallpaper, when a blonde gentleman walked over sitting down across from you.
“Y/n? Right?”
“Yeah, nice to meet you…”
“Jeonghan, I’m Cheol’s business partner.”
“Jeonghan, right. Nice to finally meet you, I’ve heard a lot.”
“Likewise, you’re so much prettier than Cheol let on actually.”
“Oh?”
Without a chance to interrogate the new face further Seungcheol walked back over to your table, setting down a few bottles of various spirits for you to try, including a couple of cocktails.
“He didn’t scare you too much did he?”
“Not at all, he was just telling me actually how much prettier I am than you alluded to.”
“Jeonghan, don’t do that to her, come on. You know very well I told you she was pretty, I even showed you her instagram, you agreed.”
“I know, I just wanted to make you tell her yourself and my job is done, see you around y/n.”
“Nice to meet you.”
As Jeonghan left the table you felt your cheeks growing with heat, unsure if it was the alcohol or the fact that Seungcheols friend made him confess he thought you were good looking.
“Sorry about him, he’s a menace.”
“No need to be sorry, I have my own menace at home and I don’t mean my dog.”
Seungcheol laughed, pouring you a shot of his very own soju to taste, filling with anticipation hoping you enjoy the drink he’s serving you, looking for your approval became a big part of his mind lately.
Lifting your glass up to his and clinking them together, the liquor poured down the back of your throat filling your mouth with sweetness and warmth.
“Holy shit.”
“Good holy shit or bad holy shit?”
“No, very good. That’s actually delicious. It’s so clean and fresh.”
“That makes me so happy to hear.”
“I’m happy you’re happy.”
“Okay, beer next. This is just a standard sour, some lime and sea salt, sort of beach vibes.”
“Sounds amazing, okay.”
Tipping your head back you sipped at the foamy top of the glass, savoring the flavors in your mouth.
“I hate you so much.”
“What? Why?”
“Seungcheol, you're way too humble when you talk about your business, this shit is amazing. I said I hate you because I’m going to crave this shit and I’ll have to see you all the time.”
“I thought you liked seeing me all the time?”
“You’re okay.”
“I have to say it’s cool to be here with you without the dogs, not that they distract too much, but they definitely take away giving you my full attention.”
“I mean how could they not, they’re cute as fuck,”
“So are you.”
“Wow, two drinks in Cheol and you’re already calling me cute? I wonder what else you’ll say the more you drink?"
“Technically we’re four drinks in, but I guess I remember the time I spent with you more than you do. Did those drinks on the bench mean nothing to you?”
“Oh fuck, I did forget. I guess technically I’m five drinks in then, catch up, bitch.”
You and Seungcheol spent the rest of the night being greeted by his friends, most of them already assuming who you were, letting you know that Seungcheol talks about you more than you realized.
Feeling your blood alcohol content rising, you decided to take a step outside and refresh.
The bell of the door opened up behind you, putting you face to face with his cherry lips once again, watching them light up a hand rolled cigarette to his lips.
“Doing okay?”
“Yeah, just wanted to step out for a second. Are you good?”
“Very. Want a cig?”
“No, I’m good for now. Ask me again later.”
“So will there be a later? You’re not ditching me now?”
“I’d never do that.”
“So, y/n does this maybe get me a chance to take you on a date? I’m kind of drunk so I’m feeling oddly bold.”
“Is this not sort of a date?”
“I was hoping you thought so. Is that a yes?”
“Absolutely. I thought you’d never ask.”
“Before we go on our date though, y/n. I have one final question?”
“Yes?”
“Do you still think I’m boring?”
“A little.”
Seungcheol grabbed your waist and spun you around, causing his perfectly rolled tobacco to fall on the sidewalk.
Blissfully you were giggling and laughing under the red led lights of his bar.
“Take it back.”
“Nope.”
“Please.”
You looked into his puppy dog eyes and did something out of your comfort zone. Wrapped your hands loosely around his neck, placing a deepened kiss onto his lips.
His mouth tasted of cigarettes and salt with a hint of vanilla from the lip balm he always had on him.
“Is that a good ‘sorry I called you boring’ kiss?”
“It’ll do for now.”
“Good. They’ll be more where that came from.”
“Promise?”
“Pinky promise.”
You and Seungcheol unwrap from each other, finding Jeonghan standing and  cheering in the window watching the two of you.
“Can’t believe I got a hot date and a sister for Kkuma all in one.”
“You lucky dog.”

Thinking about how aggressively protective over you dad!Tony is. Like whenever someone is fucking mean or rude to you, or generally gives you trouble like... you have to laugh. Cause you know what's coming. You were out running some errands (aka picking up falafel and shwarma for you, your dad, Peter, and Harley) when you ducked into a cute little boutique on the way. You saw a pair of sunglasses that were so cute, but upon further investigation, they had weird designs all along the sides. You laugh at how terrible it looks and get a picture to show your dad when you get back. You're about to leave when some stupid fucking Paul Blart mall cop drags you into the back of the store and accuses you of shoplifting. You just laugh. You laugh and ask Jarvis to call your dad. Knockoff Paul blart is trying to scare you into confessing to something you didn't do, threatening you with jail time and telling you your parents can't bail you out now, it's too late for that. You record part of the conversation and send it to your dad. About 0.0000001 second later you get a notification that he's on his way. You hear his repulsors outside and moments later he's storming into the back of the boutique.
"Okay, chachi, you've got about three seconds to explain to me what the hell you think you're doing here."
"Sir, are you the father of-"
"Three..."
"O-of this-"
"Two..."
"-was suspected to be shoplifting-"
"And you're done!"
You watch with a barely repressed laugh as your dad TEARS into this motherfucker. Like he is not holding back in he slightest. Tony KNOWS his kid. There is not a shadow of a doubt in his mind that this is a result of some miserable little man on a powertrip who couldn't get into cop school. And Tony TELLS HIM that to his fucking face. You watch a sad, angry little man reduced to tears after being roasted to within an inch of his life by your dad. It's giving "you pathetic, short little man. you don't have any friends, or any family, or any LAND." By the time he's finally done, you dad looks the guy dead in the eye ad tells him with more confidence that paul blart has ever felt in his life
"If you're lucky, maybe you'll be scrubbing my floors with a toothbrush. Maybe."
Tony ushers you out of there, ordering some food and coffee and asking Jarvis to cancel the next chunk of scheduled events so he can spend some time with you, make sure you're okay. He may or may not have also bought that little boutique, because when someone messes with his kid, Tony does NOT let it slide.

“I change my mind,” Sunghoon said, standing at the party host’s door. “Let’s not go.”
You smiled, used to his introverted behaviour. “Okay,” you agreed. “We can leave if you don’t want to go in.”
“No,” Sunghoon sighed. “We should go in. If we don’t, everyone’s going to think that you bailed because of Heeseung and Hana.”
You groaned, glaring at him. “You know what, just because you said that, we’re going in whether you like it or not,” you decided, opening the front door and gently pushing Sunghoon through the doorway.
“Hey,” he protested, stumbling slightly over his feet and laughing when he saw your irritated expression. “I said that everyone else would think that, I know it’s not true,” Sunghoon defended himself.
“Yeah, well, I’m getting sick of everyone bringing it up around me,” you admitted, making a beeline for the kitchen to pour yourself a drink. “I just wish everyone would stop talking about it! I literally have no issues with either of them, and there’s no lingering feelings or whatever. I’m good, I’m totally fine,” you muttered, sipping your drink with a frown on your face.
“Alright, I’m sorry,” Sunghoon admitted, gingerly scanning the assortment of snacks with vague disinterest.
“You know Jay and Niki came up to me today to tell me that Heeseung and Hana got back together,” you said, rolling your eyes at the memory of Niki storming into the library and Jay cornering you after your morning lecture. “It’s everyone else who’s making a big deal out of it, not me.”
Noticing how you were growing more frustrated the more you talked about it, Sunghoon was quick to concede. “I won’t bring it up again, I promise,” he assured you.
“Thanks,” you sighed. “Now let’s go find our friends before they send a search party,” you suggested, scanning the crowded living room to search for your friend group.
You didn’t have to look far, since all of your friends – minus Heeseung and his girlfriend – had spotted you first, making their way over to the significantly less crowded kitchen. You hesitantly waved them over, slightly dreading the concerned looks you knew they would give you.
“Hey,” Jay, who was impeccably dressed and perfectly styled as always, acknowledged you with a hug. You hugged back, barely seeing over his shoulder to see your other friends greet each other.
“If it isn’t my favourite heartbroken friend,” Jungwon teased you, grinning brightly in amusement.
You narrowed your eyes at him, playfully pointing a threatening finger at him. “You’re lucky you’re cute,” you told him. “Can we please stop talking about it?”
“We haven’t even started talking about it!” Sunoo complained. “I can’t believe Heeseung would do this to you.”
“He didn’t do anything,” you insisted. “And would you keep your voice down? They could be anywhere and I don’t want to start anything,” you added, hurriedly looking around to see if Heeseung or Hana were anywhere in sight.
“Actually, he did do something,” Jay said, earning a glare from you. “What?” he exclaimed, raising his hands in surrender. “I’m just saying! You don’t kiss someone and then get back together with your ex two weeks later. Especially if that someone you kissed is one of your best friends.”
“Yeah,” Sunoo agreed, scowling. “That majorly sucks.”
“He was tipsy,” you reminded them. “And it was just a kiss! It’s no big deal.”
“I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard you say that,” Niki muttered. “Aren’t you the one who said that kisses are a jumping off point into new, exciting emotional endeavours?”
“I told you that in confidence one time at three in the morning,” you reminded him. “And that was a long time ago. My philosophy has changed.”
Jay laughed. “You’re the most stubborn person I know,” he exclaimed. “There’s no way that your philosophy on anything has changed.”
“If you guys are just going to make fun of me all night, I can leave,” you said, pointing your thumb at the front door.
“Alright, fine, we’ll stop,” Jungwon allowed, though he was still smiling at your friendly bickering. “As long as you admit that a small part of you is still pining for Heeseung.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m not still pining for Heeseung,” you denied. “I don’t know how many more times I have to say it before you guys understand. But I’ll say it again: I’m not pining.”
Your friends clearly didn’t buy this. “You liked him for half a year,” Sunoo reminded you – as if you needed reminding. “And what, you suddenly decided to just get over him?”
“He has a girlfriend,” you reminded them. “Even if I did still like him, there’s no point in even discussing it.”
“Okay, then prove it,” Niki, who suddenly had one of those evil smiles on his face, suggested in a casual tone.
You sighed, knowing you’d probably regret asking. “How?”
“Easy,” Niki said innocently, and that was when you knew you were in trouble. Wearily, you nodded for him to go on. “Kiss the next person who walks through the door, and I’ll believe you.”
You rose an eyebrow, eyes sweeping across the room to the front door.
It would be simple to accept this challenge, and having all of your friends drop the subject would be reason enough to just kiss a stranger. But the truth was that Sunghoon and Jay were right; you did put a lot of importance into kisses, and your philosophy on this would probably never change.
Was it worth it to ignore your thoughts on kisses, especially first kisses, just once so your friends would leave you alone?
“I bet you’re hoping that Lee Heeseung will step through that door,” Jungwon said jokingly as your friends giggled, which made you instantly make up your mind. You knew they were just being playful, and they would never actually hurt your feelings, but you wanted to end this conversation once and for all.
“If I do this,” you began, abruptly silencing your friends as they stared at you in disbelief. “You’ll never bring this up ever again? And you’ll believe me when I say I’m over him?”
Sunoo laughed nervously. “Wait, you’re not serious?”
You smiled. “Just answer the question.”
“Yeah,” Jay nodded, the others slowly following his lead, still too shocked to think about what they were doing. “We’ll believe you.”
“Fine,” you agreed, pouring yourself a new drink and knocking it back with a wince. “Let’s see who the lucky stranger is,” you added, facing the front door.
Your friends swiftly whipped their heads around in the same direction, anticipation growing. Although you were trying to play it off, you could feel your heart beating just a little faster in your chest than it had been a minute ago. At this point, your confident act had gone far enough that your pride would no longer let you out of this deal.
When the door did finally open, you had no idea what would become of the next two minutes of your life. It took only a couple minutes for the doorknob to turn, and you could feel your breath catch as you waited to see who would walk through the doorway. You could hear your friends all holding their breath beside you, equally riveted to see who you would have to kiss.
Seconds later, a tall boy with perfect brown hair came through the doorway sporting a nervous smile.
You sighed, embarrassment filling your chest as your friends whispered amongst themselves.
Of course he had to be hot.
Fate couldn’t have been kind to you even once, and had to give you a ridiculously good-looking guy with amazing style and kind eyes to kiss in front of all of your friends.
He was dressed head-to-toe in black, the colour making his skin and brown eyes stand out even from a distance. You had never seen him before, which didn’t surprise you considering how big your university was. Luckily, this made your situation just a little less scary.
If you had never seen him before, chances were that you’d never see him again. And even though a little voice in your head was insistent that you were lying to yourself, you had to push those thoughts away. At that point, you couldn’t let your doubts stop you; you had to act now, think later.
As he closed the door behind him, he was met by the excited cheers of a few guys you didn’t know, and as your eyes swept towards them you could see Heeseung dancing with Hana. Admittedly, Heeseung’s presence added just enough doubt for you to falter in your steps towards the stranger.
Perhaps there was a tiny bit of truth to what your friends were saying. Perhaps what Heeseung did to you really did hurt a little.
Making up your mind, you placed your drink down on the kitchen counter and approached the boy, your friends buzzing with excitement behind you. The boy spotted you, sending you a friendly if not slightly confused smile.
“Um, hi-”
“Can I kiss you?” you asked him once you were directly in front of him, forgoing any sort of greeting or explanation. His eyes widened in shock, taking a moment to register your words.
Only after you spoke did you realise that the boy might reject you. Instantly, goosebumps rose on your skin at the thought of embarrassing yourself further.
To your relief, he said: “Yeah,” nodding his head once. You couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful he looked like this, lips slightly parted and pupils blown. That was all it took for you to grasp the lapels of his leather jacket and kiss him.
Despite the fact that he barely had any warning of your intentions, the stranger kissed you back, meeting your lips with equal fervour. You leaned into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his shoulders as he cupped your face. Even though you had never kissed this boy before, he was doing an excellent job at convincing you to do it again. He seemed to be thinking something similar as he pulled you impossibly closer.
Maybe you were right all along about first kisses being significant.
“Hi,” he greeted you breathlessly once you pulled away, thumb caressing your cheek. You felt out of breath and a little light-headed, but your stomach was warm and throbbing with butterflies.
The second his lips curved into a perfect smile, you knew you were in trouble. There was no end to those the butterflies.
“I’m Jake.”
Even his name was pretty.
Up close, his dark brown hair was swept perfectly away from his forehead and his brown eyes seemed to almost glow in the crummy entryway lights. He had pretty, pink lips and a pointed, perfect nose to top it off. The black top and jacket he was wearing made is creamy skin look even more flawless, and it took all of your self control to not pull him in for another kiss.
You could hear your friends cheering you on, causing an embarrassed flush to cross the tops of Jake’s cheeks. He let out a shy laugh, searching your eyes as if he was memorising them and sliding his hands to hold yours.
God, he’s perfect. Where on earth had this man come from? Heaven?
“Hi Jake,” you replied rather breathlessly, wondering how you were supposed to get out of this predicament. There was only one thing for it: “Um, your fly is open,” you lied, thinking on your feet as quickly as you could.
When Jake took his hands from where they were linked with yours to fix this non-existent mistake, you took your chance to escape.

“I’m sorry but I don’t get it,” Jay said, eyeing you suspiciously as you took your laptop and textbook out of your bag. It had been two days since the party, and you were actively doing your best to bring as little attention to yourself as possible, just in case you ran into Jake. “You’re telling me that you had an amazing first kiss with a literal stranger, and you made up some dumb excuse to get away from him?”
Your head jerked to face your friend, frowning at his accusation. “I thought it was a pretty creative excuse, thank you very much.”
“Y/n.”
“Jongseong.”
“Oh, you’re calling me by my legal name now?” Jay said, raising an eyebrow. “It’s that serious?”
“I thought I kissed a stranger so that you guys would stop bothering me,” you reminded him pointedly, opening your laptop to a new document as your Professor made her way to the front of the room.
“That’s where you’re wrong,” Jay grinned victoriously, twirling a pen in his hand. “It was specific to not bothering you about the whole Heeseung and Hana thing, not to stop bothering you altogether.”
“You should change your major to law,” you mocked playfully. “Since you’re so good at remembering the clauses of our agreement.”
“Did you feel butterflies?” Now it was Jay’s turn to mock. “When he kissed you? You felt butterflies and your heart was racing, right?” he accused, relishing in the deadpan stare you sent him.
You wanted nothing more than to wipe the smug smile off your best friend’s face, but you loved him too much to actually do anything to make him stop smiling.
“That’s nothing,” you said in a hushed tone, not wanting to draw your Professor’s attention to yourself. “I felt butterflies, so what? I was nervous about kissing a stranger and had those anxious butterflies before he even walked through the door.”
“Alright, fine,” Jay conceded, dark brown eyes skimming what your Professor had projected onto the screen. Then, he met your gaze and you could see the mischievous glint in them. “Just answer this: did you feel any butterflies when you kissed Heeseung?”
“No, but he was tipsy and I don’t like him like that,” you rolled your eyes, nudging him in the arm when snorted. “So, I’m going to pretend you didn’t say that.”
“Fine,” Jay tried to hide his laughter. “Then I’m going to pretend that you didn’t just suggest that you might like that guy you kissed.”

Just as you had predicted, you didn’t see Jake again.
The first week after your kiss, you had walked around campus with extreme care to avoid him, but your university was huge and you didn’t even know what department Jake was in. Even if you tried to avoid him, you didn’t know how you would go about doing so. Soon, you grew confident that you wouldn’t unexpectedly run into him at any point and continued on with your daily routine as always.
On the Monday two weeks after the party, you were running late for your first class. Of course this was the class where you didn’t have any friends that could save you a seat, so when you arrived at the crowded lecture theatre, there was only one available seat left. It was wedged between two guys you hadn’t seen before and was a real pain to get to, having to squeeze past a whole row of seated students to sit down.
With a huff, you took your seat and started pulling your notebook and pens out of your bag.
“Hey,” the guy next to you whispered.
You hummed absentmindedly, still taking taking your supplies out as you glanced sideways, eyes widening when you recognised the guy as Jake.
He was wearing a white sweatshirt and a beige baseball cap that he wore backwards, and the brightness of his clothes made him look drastically different from the night of the party. Though he was still just as handsome, he seemed more approachable and friendly in this more casual style.
To your surprise, Jake didn’t look upset to see you. In fact, he looked at you with a bright, excited grin as if you didn’t kiss him and run away with a bogus excuse only seconds later.
“I’ve been wondering,” he began but was cut off by your Professor starting his lecture. Awkwardly, Jake cleared his throat and turned his attention to the front of the room.
You reminded yourself to do the same, having trouble dragging your eyes from the boy you had shared a frightfully amazing kiss with.
Focusing on your class was nearly impossible.
The seats in the lecture hall were cramped and small, only having a small half-table attached to every chair. You could feel the way your right leg pressed against Jake’s for the entire class. Every time he bounced his leg in boredom or shuffled in his seat, his thigh brushed against yours and made your heart jump a little.
The last thing you wanted was to get flustered, but your body seemed fixated to his every movement, which made ignoring him tedious and borderline impossible.
Trying your best, you mumbled everything the Professor was saying back to yourself so you could focus enough to actually take notes and find out what would be on your midterm. Jake glanced at you from the corner of his eye, grinning at your adorable habits and observing you shamelessly once he realised you weren’t paying him any attention.
Resting his head on his hand, which was supported by the table his elbow was propped on, Jake continued to keep an eye on you throughout the rest of the lecture, not caring if he missed out on anything. After all, asking for your notes would just give him an excuse to talk to you should he ever need one.
The moment your Professor dismissed you, you threw your pens into your bag at lightning speed and grabbed your books in your arms, trying to get away from Jake as quickly as possible.
“Hey, wait a second,” Jake called after you, jolted by your sudden haste. He fumbled with his own belongings, shoving them into his backpack absent-mindedly before rushing down the stairs after you. “Where are you going?” he wondered with what seemed to be a permanent smile, easily catching up to you thanks to his long legs.
“I have another class,” you told him as he walked down the corridor beside you. You weren’t exactly lying, you just left out the part about your class not starting for another two hours.
“Oh, okay,” he replied, mumbling a small excuse me as he passed the other students in the cramped hallway. “I just wanted to make sure, do you remember me from the other night?” Jake asked since you didn’t show any sign of recognition. “You walked right up to me and-” with widened eyes, you covered his mouth with your hands, freezing in place.
A few students grumbled but reluctantly manoeuvred around the two of you.
“Don’t say it,” you warned, wide-eyed. You couldn’t believe that he was about to say it out loud; just thinking about you walking right up to him and kissing him made you want to hide under a pile of blankets.
Jake raised an eyebrow, gently removing your hand from his mouth to reveal a laugh. His hands were soft and warm, matching his energy. The mental list you were, unintentionally, keeping of all his perfections was growing by the second. “So you do remember! I was beginning to think that you forgot all about me.”
You glanced down as he intertwined your hands, thinking back to how he did the same thing after you kissed. It was impossible for you to forget him, but you weren’t about to tell him that.
“Where’s your next class? I’ll walk you,” Jake suggested, eyes bright and curious when you looked back up at him. You had approached him so confidently the night of the party, and it was endearing for him to see you so flustered and unsure now. He had thought you were pretty cute that night, but now you were downright adorable.
“That’s okay, thanks though,” you turned down his offer, pulling your hand away without trying to seem too rude. “Anyway, I’ll see you around,” you added, quickly making a beeline for the exit of the building and leaving Jake behind, confused.
You had an odd habit of running away from him just as things were getting interesting.

When your second class of the day ended, you were thoroughly looking forward to grabbing lunch and forgetting about the day. Against your own will, you had spent most of your class thinking about Jake, and the last thing you wanted was to spend the entire day ruminating on the same subject.
You had made plans to get lunch with your friends at your university’s dining hall, and you immediately booked it over to your usual table when you saw how crowded it already was.
“Hey guys,” you greeted tiredly, placing your bag on the floor and taking a seat next to Jungwon. He was munching on a carrot with an uncontrollable grin, earning a weird look from you. “What’s got you all excited?”
“Look who Heeseung invited to lunch,” Jungwon said instead of answering your question, gesturing a few chairs down by jutting out his chin.
And of course when you looked to see who he was talking about, you met Jake’s bashful gaze.
He was sandwiched closely between Heeseung and Niki with a lunch tray in front of him. Heeseung sat beside him, oblivious to everyone’s mischievous anticipation while Niki was practically bubbling over with excitement on Jake’s other side.
“This is Jake,” Heeseung introduced after taking a sip of bubble tea, not knowing that the two of you were already, shall we say, closely acquainted. “We met at the start of the semester. He was looking a little lonely so I figured he should start joining us for lunch. He just transferred all the way from Australia!”
Niki, who couldn’t contain his elation, blurted out: “Look Y/n! It’s the guy you kissed the other night!” As if you had no idea who Jake was. Niki grinned so widely that you could barely see his crinkled eyes.
This caught Heeseung’s attention, causing him to choke on the tapioca pearls he was chewing. “I’m sorry what!” he exclaimed after hitting his chest a few times, staring at Niki with wide eyes.
You squinted up at the ceiling, wondering if there were any gods, fairies, or wizards in the world that could teleport you out of this situation. And maybe get you some new friends.
“I know subtlety isn’t exactly your thing, Niki, but don’t make Jake uncomfortable,” you said with pleading eyes.
Jake, who was turning a little red at the attention, suddenly realised that he had been ambushed by your friends. “So that’s why you guys looked so happy to see me,” he mumbled to himself, the gears in his head turning. “And here I was, thinking you guys just wanted to be my friends.”
“Aw, we do want to be friends,” Sunghoon assured the newcomer to your group sympathetically. Honestly, he had only talked to Jake for fifteen minutes before you arrived and he already really liked the Aussie boy. He was charismatic and kind, laughing genuinely at all of Sunghoon’s lame jokes without judgement. “However, teasing our favourite friend Y/n comes above all else on our list of priorities.”
Nobody else realised it, but this was the first time that Jake heard anyone say your name. His eyes flitted over to where you were playfully scowling at Sunghoon, feeling his heartbeat quicken when you momentarily met his eyes.
“Y/n?” Jake asked, and you almost melted at the way your name rolled off his tongue. Your eyes widened at his sentimental tone, caught off-guard by your bodily reaction as pleasant chills went down your spine.
Jake thought you were beautiful.
“Hold up,” Heeseung ignored Sunghoon’s quip, holding both hands in the air. “Jake is the guy you kissed at the party?” Heeseung repeated, looking back and forth between you and Jake several times. “How exactly did I miss this?”
“It’s not like I live tweeted the event for everyone to see,” you reminded your friend, trying to get through the conversation without hiding under the table in embarrassment.
Taking notice of your slight discomfort, Jay spoke up. “It was a dare,” he explained, playing the kiss off as no big deal. “Besides, it was all in good fun, right? No need to keep obsessing over it.”
“Right,” Jake agreed, also becoming aware of the fact that you wanted the conversation to be over. “It’s all good,” he assured you, sending you a smile. “This seriously explains a lot. Even though I appreciated the enthusiasm, you guys were freaking me out a little,” he continued, taking the attention off of you.
The change of subject was so natural that nobody noticed it except you.
“We weren’t that bad,” Sunoo protested, lips pouting.
“You were pretty bad,” Jake insisted. “You giggled uncontrollably when Heeseung introduced me and I thought you were going to leap out of your chairs at any moment because of how excited you were.”
“Yeah, Niki totally blew it,” Jay agreed instantly, jokingly glaring at the youngest of your friend group.
“Hey,” Niki whined, eyebrows furrowing together. “Maybe I was a little excited, but it was Jungwon who kept making eye contact with me and wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.”
“Maybe so!” Jungwon agreed. “And what about it? At least it was subtle!”
“It really wasn’t,” Jake laughed, wholly entertained by your friends’ bickering.
“It was subtle enough that Heeseung didn’t even notice,” Jungwon retorted with a smirk.
At this, you had to grin. “Like Heeseung counts,” you said with a giggle. “He’s too busy dreaming about Hana to actually pay attention to anyone around him!”
“Hey!” Heeseung exclaimed, shocked that he was the one being criticised all of a sudden. “I- Actually, you know what, that checks out,” he confessed, having the decency to look a little embarrassed.
Soon enough, the eight of you were eating your lunch and discussing mindless topics comfortably with one another. You were grateful that, even though your friends looked forward to teasing you about Jake, they were behaving normally enough that you could enjoy your lunch without feeling uncomfortable.
When you got up to put your tray away, Jake got to his feet and followed you. “So,” you said after building up the courage to make conversation. “Australia, huh?”
“Yeah,” Jake nodded. “It’s been a pretty big change, but I love it here. The campus is beautiful and it’s so nice to be in the middle of a big city.”
“Well, I’m glad you like it so far,” you smiled politely.
“You weren’t drunk, were you?” Jake asked suddenly, feeling awkward even bringing it up. “The other night?”
“No, I wasn’t,” you assured him. “I mean I had a few drinks but that’s not why I- Yeah.”
“Can I ask what happened? Jay mentioned a dare?”
“Yes. Um, basically, Heeseung and I had a little tipsy kiss a few weeks ago and then, like, ten days later he got back together with his ex-girlfriend Hana. Everyone kept acting like I was really upset over it and stuff, so they agreed to leave the subject alone if I can prove I’m over him,” you rambled on, feeling nervous about Jake’s close proximity to you.
“Oh,” Jake nodded in understanding. “So you like Heeseung?”
“No,” you shook your head. “I mean, I did for a few months, and I thought he liked me too. But I guess not,” you shrugged your shoulders. “It’s okay, though. It’s not a big deal, I’m over it, and we’re still friends.”
“I get it,” he said. “Thanks for explaining, you didn’t have to give that much detail so I’m glad you trusted me to tell me all that,” Jake smiled that perfect smile again, and you almost melted into a puddle on the floor.
“Listen, I’m really sorry my friends cornered you like that,” you apologised, embarrassed on behalf of your extra friends.
“Don’t worry about it,” Jake interrupted you, already predicting what you were going to say. “They seem nice and they clearly care about you a lot, so we’re all good. Are the two of us okay?” he wondered, taking your tray off your hands and clearing it for you. The moment your fingers brushed, you could feel the familiar tingle of butterflies in your stomach.
Startled at how easygoing he was, you could only nod. “We’re good,” you said quietly, overwhelmed by how much this boy was affecting you.
“Cool,” he beamed, stacking the empty trays and turning to face you. “So, what’s your major?” he wondered before rambling on about how he was figuring out if he wanted to double major in physics. All the while, you could only follow him, feeling yourself drawn to him as if you were magnets.
Tumblr media
Soon enough, Jake was a regular member of your friend group and sat with you for lunch everyday. At first, Niki and Jungwon would tease the two of you whenever you sat next to or opposite each other at the lunch table, but after a week the novelty wore off. It didn’t take long before Jay was their new target, teasing him for his style or purposely making him angry for their own entertainment.
In a strange turn of events, Jake was actually starting to make the class you shared bearable. What you thought was going to be an awkward semester of avoiding him every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday turned into him saving you a seat and you lending him your notes.
“So,” Jake said on Wednesday, throwing his expensive bag carelessly onto the ground and taking the seat next to yours. You jumped at his arrival, almost knocking your laptop to the floor if it wasn’t for Jake’s quick reflexes. “Sorry, you alright?” He added, catching your eyes. When you nodded, he went on. “So, I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie with me.”
“A movie?” you echoed, thinking it over. “Yeah, I could probably go tonight. What did you have in mind?”
“We could watch the new Doctor Strange movie,” Jake suggested, eyes sparkling at the idea. “Or the new Top Gun movie! But honestly, I’m pretty flexible so we can go see whatever you’re into,” he added.
You hummed, looking up movie times on your phone and finding a showing of Doctor Strange that would be perfect for your schedule. “How does 9pm sound?” you offered, showing him the mostly-empty theatre seats on your phone.
“Perfect!”
You selected seats close to the back and smiled, “This is going to be so much fun! The boys and I haven’t been to a movie in forever because our schedules never line up,” you explained, texting your group chat and sending a screenshot of the movie tickets you bought for everyone.
Jake paused. “What do you mean?” He asked, already dreading your answer.
“Since we all have such different majors, we always have exams at different times and our schedules don’t sync up. We missed the showings for Spider-Man No Way Home because of it! But luckily, all eight of us are free tonight so we can all go see Doctor Strange together!” You explained happily, watching all your friends reply in excitement to the group chat.
“Oh, so it’s like, a group activity,” Jake realised, frowning as he sulked in his seat. “Fun.”
“So fun!” you agreed, oblivious to his disappointment.
This obliviousness went on for several weeks, and Jake wasn’t sure if you genuinely had no idea he was pursuing you, or if you were just avoiding the subject. He decided to just be upfront about it.
“Y/n,” he called for your attention as the two of you lazed around under a tree on campus on a particularly sunny day. Your head was resting on his lap as you closed your eyes while Jake was stuck to his physics textbook. “Do you want to go on a date with me?” he asked, watching patiently as you processed his words and your eyes snapped open.
You sat up, leaning back on your elbows and glancing at him. “Are you serious?”
“I’m really tempted to say No I’m Jake but I’ll refrain,” he joked, earning a small smile from you. “I’m serious. I don’t know if you realise it, but I’ve been asking you on dates pretty regularly. You tend to just invite all of our friends to come with us, which makes it less of a date and more of, well, nothing.”
“Those were all dates?” you asked, genuinely startled by this piece of information.
“All of them,” Jake confirmed.
“Doctor Strange?”
“Yes, Doctor Strange.”
“The puppy café that day it rained?”
“Yup.”
“Studying in the library?”
“All four times I initiated it.”
“Movie night in the park?”
“I actually didn’t mind that you brought the guys since it was fun, but yes.”
“The concert?”
“How you even found six extra tickets is beyond me, but yes. The concert, too.”
“Oh,” was the clever line that you came up with at this realisation, and Jake practically swooned on the spot. How you couldn’t see he was absolutely enamoured by you was beyond him, but he was enjoying your confused expression too much to voice his thoughts. “I didn’t realise.”
“I know,” Jake laughed. “That’s why I figured I’d just tell you to your face this time.”
You hummed, nodding slowly, your brain still processing what was going on. “Good call.”
“I like to think so.”
“Can I think about it? Before I answer your question,” you wondered, wanting nothing more than to find Jay and ask him about what the hell you should do. More than being your emotional support best friend, Jay also had a much sturdier, mature head on his shoulders and always seemed to know what to do.
“Take all the time you want,” Jake assured you. I just hope you feel the same way.
When it was time for Jake’s afternoon class, the two of you parted ways. He went to go meet Jungwon for coffee before their lecture, and you headed to the library to make some sense of what your Professor had taught you that morning.
It was perfectly peaceful until the double doors of the library were flung open, banging loudly against the walls and making everyone in the library jump out of their seats.
When you spotted Niki racing over to your seat you hid your face in your hands, embarrassed. “Y/n!” you heard a frantic yell of your name, sinking into your seat to escape the numerous eyes on you.
You loved your friends, you really did, but they drew way too much attention to themselves for your taste. Especially your youngest friend Niki, who didn’t really understand the definition of discretion, and therefor never applied it to his behaviour.
“Dude,” you hissed, dragging him into the seat next to you with wide eyes. “This is the library,” you emphasised. “I know you don’t come here that much, but it’s pretty common knowledge that you’re supposed to be quiet when you’re in here.”
“Whatever,” Niki rolled his eyes, reluctantly lowering his voice. “I heard that Jake asked you out on a date! When are you going?”
“How the hell did you already hear about that?” you couldn’t help but wonder. “You know what, never mind. And for your information, I don’t even know if I’m going at all.”
“What do you mean you don’t know if you’re going?” Niki asked, deeply disappointed by your response. “You like Jake, Jake likes you. It’s simple maths!” he added with excessive hand gestures that you couldn’t quite make sense of.
“Jake’s not my type,” you lied, making Niki snort.
“Sure, then what is your type?” he challenged you, crossing his arms sassily to make a point.
“Bad boys,” you said the first thing that popped into your head. “Bad boys with motorcycles. You know the kind, long hair, beards, look like they only shower every couple weeks.”
“Gross, thanks for that mental image,” Niki grimaced. “This is just like your big fat crush on Heeseung all over again!”
“I did not have a big fat crush on Heeseung,” you corrected.
“Sure,” Niki replied in a disbelieving tone.
“Do you want me to have a crush on Heeseung?”
“No!”
“Good! Because I don’t. And I’m not going to let you pressure me into going on a date with Jake,” you said, turning back to your notes. “End of conversation.”
Niki snatched your notebook from the table before you could stop him, tossing it carelessly on the floor behind him. You exhaled through your nose, exasperation growing.
“Continuation of conversation. Look, I’m glad you’re not upset about Heeseung, but you must be feeling something now that Jake asked you out.” Niki was insistent.
“Why?” you asked. “Why does everyone want me to feel something for Jake?” You wondered, recalling the conversation you had with Jay only a few days after you kissed Jake at the party.
Your friend’s eyes softened, a small frown appearing on his face. “Because for a while there, it seemed like Heeseung liked you too,” he said quietly. “And he didn’t tell you a thing about getting back together with Hana, which was really mean of him. And we all just want you to be happy with someone nice, like Jake.”
“Okay,” you allowed, feeling your heart soften at the rare show of sincerity from Niki. “Maybe I have feelings for Jake. And maybe I considered agreeing to go on a date with him. But I don’t know if it’s a good idea, and I’m still thinking it over. Nothing’s off the table yet,” you promised Niki, wanting his sad, puppy-eyed expression to go away.
“You promise?”
“Yes,” you emphasised, smiling at Niki’s concern. “You’re very sweet, Niki, but I need to make up my own mind about this. Seriously.”
Niki shrugged, getting up to pick up your notebook. “If you say so,” he sang, passing the pages over to you and smiling. “Are you coming to the party tonight?”
“Yeah,” you told him, flipping your notebook back to the right page. “Sunghoon told me that he’s only going if I come, so, it’s my duty as the group introvert’s comfort friend.”
“Great, I’ll see you tonight,” Niki waved at you.
“Didn’t you come here to study?” you asked, taken aback by how quickly he wanted to leave.
“Nah, I just came to check on you,” he said, pulling his phone out of his pocket. After replying to a few texts, Niki smiled and sent you a one-handed finger gun before leaving the library.
You grinned at the sight of him tripping on his way out the door, not expecting to have received so much love from Niki of all people.
Tumblr media
“I got a pretty concerning phone call from Niki this afternoon,” was what Jay greeted you with two hours later. The two of you had agreed to get something to eat before the party that evening and you texted him to be ready for you to talk his ear off.
“That can’t be good,” you replied, raising an eyebrow as you read the menu of the little pizza shop you decided to try for the first time.
Jay laughed, recounting how Niki had called him because he was worried about you and didn’t want you to feel like you were alone in this decision, and how he was concerned that you would mess things up between you and Jake forever. “You have to give him credit,” Jay mused. “He certainly knows how to dial up the dramatics.”
“No doubt about it,” you agreed readily, deciding on your pizza and letting Jay order for you. “Alright, go on.”
“What?” Jay asked, placing his napkin in his lap as you looked expectantly at him.
“Don’t you have anything to say?”
“Y/n my dear, you’re going to have to be more specific than that.”
“Seriously,” you whined, whacking him with your menu. “I want to know what you think about Jake asking me out.”
“Why does it matter?” Jay dismissed easily, acting like he was usually uninvolved in your major life decisions and hasn’t spent hours trying to convince you of his opinion in the past. There was a particularly harrowing incident in which you jokingly suggested that polka dots were making a comeback, and you still got chills thinking about how fashionista-Jay had annihilated you. “He didn’t ask me out, so why should you care what I say?”
“Oh come on,” you said, unconvinced that he was truly not going to share his thoughts with you. “Jay, you’re my best friend. Why are you sitting this one out?”
“Because I want you to make up your own mind,” he replied easily, unbothered by your protests.
“That’s the funny thing about having a best friend,” you began in a faux-excited tone, clasping your hands together on the table in front of you. “They’re supposed to know your mind better than anyone else! So, what’s the verdict? Yes I go out with Jake, or no I don’t? Let’s hear it.”
“Y/n,” Jay sang your name, unable to help the small chuckle that escaped him. “Why is it that you need my validation?” he wondered. Sure, you had asked him for advice on most of your other issues, but your love life was usually something you were very independent with. “You’re right, I am your best friend. That’s why I know that you need to make this decision yourself, and not let other people get in your head so much,” Jay declared, not wanting to make you feel like he was telling you off.
“I love you Jay, but I kind of want to hit you right now,” you sighed sadly, knowing he was completely right.
“I know, and I love you too,” Jay said, giving you his most sympathetic smile. “Do you want to split some cheesy garlic bread?”
“I think that would be wise,” you agreed, slumping in your seat and frowning at your predicament.
“Okay,” Jay nodded, flagging the waiter down as you lazily stirred the melting ice around your glass. “Listen, you’ve got this,” he encouraged, noticing how disheartened you had become at his declaration of neutrality. “We can still talk about it! I want to hear why you’re so desperate for someone to make this decision for you.”
“I don’t know,” you lied. When Jay scoffed, you rolled your eyes and decided that it wasn’t even worth it to lie to the one person who could see through your every falsehood. “Okay, fine. I want someone else to make this decision for me because I’m shit scared.”
“Everyone’s shit scared,” Jay retorted.
“Not Jake,” you reminded him. “Jake is kind of fearless. At least when it comes to this sort of thing. When we met for the first time after we kissed, he had no problem expressing his interest in me. He held my hand and offered to walk me to class, and it was just so overwhelming to see his pretty, puppy-dog eyes gazing down at me as if I was the answer to all his prayers.”
“That’s probably because you are the answer to all his prayers,” Jay laughed, thanking the waiter when he brought you the cheesy garlic bread. “Jake really likes you.”
“I like him too,” you allowed for more honesty. “And I want him to be my boyfriend.”
“I’m pretty sure he’d be into that too,” Jay teased you.
“Yeah,” you smiled to yourself. “I don’t know if I want to be his girlfriend, though,” you said cryptically, not knowing if you were making any sense. “Does that make sense?”
“Not to me,” Jay replied, blunt as always. “Doesn’t have to make sense to me though, I’m not dating Jake.”
“I don’t know if I’m ready to be someone’s girlfriend,” you tried to explain yourself. “I know that Jake’s going to be an amazing boyfriend, I have no idea if I’m going to be a decent girlfriend.”
“That’s the funny thing about dating,” Jay said, mocking your faux-excited tone from earlier, clasping his hands together just as you had. “You’re not technically anyone’s girlfriend yet. You’re just floating somewhere in the realm between friends and something more. You’ll figure out when you want to be his girlfriend together.”
“Oh,” you said under your breath, actually understanding what Jay was trying to say. “I guess you’re right.”
“Always the tone of surprise,” Jay murmured with an affectionate eye-roll.
Tumblr media
After some gentle convincing, Sunghoon finally stepped into the party and awkwardly started bopping his head to the beat of the song blasting overhead. If you didn’t know him personally, you’d have no idea that Sunghoon had extensive dance training.
“Hey,” Heeseung greeted you happily, passing you a cup and pulling you into a side-hug. “I see you managed to get Sunghoon through the door,” he added, motioning in your friend’s direction with his head.
You grinned, taking a sip from the cup and finding your favourite drink inside. “It’s my specialty,” you joked. “Where’s Hana?”
“Oh, she’s probably around here somewhere,” Heeseung casually waved your words off. “Finding someone to dance with, I’m sure,” he added.
You frowned. “What? Did something happen between you guys?” you wondered, concerned at the way Heeseung’s joy seemed to be slowly drained from his body.
“We broke up,” Heeseung explained, pausing awkwardly before adding, “Again. Actually, she broke up with me because I’m too clingy or something like that? I don’t know, I kind of disassociated from that conversation after she began recounting all the times I was unbearable.”
“I’m so sorry,” you said, pulling your friend into a proper hug and gently patting his back. “For what it’s worth, you’re really awesome and definitely too good for her,” you added, wanting to encourage your friend when he seemed so upset.
“Thanks,” Heeseung mumbled, gently pulling away and sighing. “That’s enough about me. So,” he dragged the word out. “I heard something just a couple minutes ago that I thought was interesting,” Heeseung mentioned, grinning knowingly.
“Don’t even mention who I think you’re going to mention,” you warned, knowing that this was about Jake asking you on a date. You had received several pointed texts from Jungwon and Sunoo already, and you weren’t sure if you could hear it anymore. “I’ve already had enough from the others.”
“Alright, fine,” Heeseung chuckled, finishing his drink off with a smirk. “Actually, since we’re both chatting, I wanted to apologise to you,” he added, leading you to a slightly quieter area of the living room where the music wasn’t reaching as loudly.
“Apologise for what?” You wondered. You and Heeseung had always been good friends, but you weren’t particularly close recently.
Heeseung’s expression turned embarrassed as he carefully avoided your eyes by glancing down at his shoes. “Kissing you and getting back together with my ex a couple weeks later?” He phrased it like a question, voice lilting at the end of his sentence.
“Heeseung,” you started but were quickly halted.
“No, I need to do this,” Heeseung maintained. “I never acknowledged how much that sucks, and I’m sorry that I even put you in that position in the first place. I thought that you had a crush on me back then, and even if it’s not true it was wrong of me to exploit that. Especially since we’re friends. So, yeah, I’m really sorry, Y/n,” he said, finally having the nerve to meet your eyes.
“Don’t worry about it,” you assured him, flicking his bicep with a grin. “I forgive you. That feels like forever ago, anyway.”
“Maybe it was forever ago, but it was still wrong,” he replied with a shrug, gently flicking your arm back.
“That’s okay, I’m over it,” you promised.
“So were good?”
“We’re excellent, Heeseung.”
“Great,” he beamed at your assurance, pleased that the two of you could go back to normal. “Since we’re good… Don’t be mad but I really do have to ask what’s going on with you and Jake,” Heeseung pleaded, inadequate at holding back his curiosity.
You groaned, “Nothing is going on with us! Absolutely nothing.”
“Why not?” Heeseung whined. “The two of you are great together, and he clearly likes you, so I don’t really get why you’re not together.”
“How can we ever be together? He’s perfect,” you exclaimed, the mere mention of Jake already lighting your skin on fire as your face warmed.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong I really like him and I’m glad I brought him into the friend group,” Heeseung said, smiling at the thought of meeting Jake for the first time. “But he’s not perfect.”
“You’re only saying that because you’re not in love with him,” you waved him off.
“So you are then?”
“What?”
“In love with him.”
You blinked, “Did I say that out loud?”
Heeseung smirked, “Loud and clear,” he confirmed with a wink, knowing you had been caught.
“Shit. Well I guess I can’t take it back at this point,” you shrugged, earning a booming laugh from your friend.
“Let’s just say he’s perfect, for argument’s sake,” Heeseung began, thoughtfully. “Why should that mean that you can’t be together?”
“Because pretty soon he’s going to realise that I’m not perfect, and I don’t want to be there when the illusion that he has of me is shattered,” you confessed, something that you had been too shy to even tell Jay. Perhaps the alcohol was helping you a little, or perhaps you felt like you had closure with Heeseung and could finally confide in him like you used to. “Once the novelty of our little flirtation wears off he’s going to realise that he doesn’t actually like me.”
“You know what, I think he might surprise you,” Heeseung argued.
“What makes you say that?”
“Because people always surprise you, it’s kind of in their nature,” he shrugged.
“Damn, you’re wise when you’re tipsy,” you mumbled in surprised, a little moved by his comment.
“Damn straight, it’s why I kissed you,” Heeseung joked, earning a hard slap in the shoulder. “Ow!” he exclaimed, clutching the spot where you struck him. “On that note, I’m gonna get out of here because I think Hana’s about to start making out with my Chem Lab partner. Give me a call if you need someone to talk to,” he excused himself, eyes narrowing to a corner of the room that was just out of sight for you.
“Thanks, ‘Seung, you too,” you said your goodbyes, deciding to go check on your friend group’s resident introvert to make sure he hadn’t run away.
Once you were sure Sunghoon wasn’t going to book it out of the party, leaving him with Niki and Sunoo to hype him up, you stepped outside to get some air. As you tucked your hands into your jacket pockets and scanned the area, you noticed an unusual sight that clashed with your worldview.
“What is that?” you asked, spotting Jake on the sidewalk near the house the party was hosted in.
He grinned. “A motorcycle,” he explained, leaning against the vehicle, looking impossibly cool.
Somehow, the image of him with the motorcycle was a complete juxtaposition; even though he looked the part with his black leather jacket and thick, leather boots, you couldn’t get the image of Jake wearing a fuzzy teddybear sweater to class out of your head. Sweet, bubbly Jake riding a motorcycle? Even now, you couldn’t imagine it.
You laughed. “I know it’s a motorcycle, what are you doing standing next to it?”
Jake shrugged. “It’s my motorcycle.”
“Shut up,” you said, rolling your eyes.
“Why?!”
“That is not your motorcycle,” you denied.
“Yes it is, actually.”
“When did you get a motorcycle?” you asked, more laughter bubbling out at the incredulous image of Jake buying a motorcycle. You knew he was rich but dropping cash on a motorcycle when he had previously never expressed any interest in one? That was too much, even for Jake.
“When Niki said that bad boys are your type,” he joked, picking up a helmet.
You paused, remembering the terrible, unconvincing excuse you had given Niki earlier that day in the library. “That’s not funny.”
“I mean it!” Jake insisted. “What you said really woke me up, I figured that it’s time to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.”
“Really?”
“No, it’s my friend from class’s motorcycle, I’m just keeping an eye on it while he picks up his girlfriend from the party,” Jake admitted, a large grin growing on his face once he realised you were starting to believe him.
“I knew it!” you exclaimed, pointing at him and sniggering.
“Is it really so crazy to imagine me on a motorcycle?” Jake wondered, pouting slightly at the thought of you not thinking he was attractive enough to pull off the bad boy vibe.
“No, it’s not crazy at all,” you admitted. “I guess I just didn’t really think it sounded like you. When I picture you, I picture you in a soft sweatshirt, not riding a vehicle that goes 300 kilometres an hour.”
“Aw, so you think about me often, then,” Jake teased, stepping away from the motorcycle to lean closer to you, just over the fence that surrounded the house. “And I shouldn’t change to better fit your type?”
“Of course I wouldn’t want you to change,” you said softly, meaning every word.
The teasing glint in his eyes was replaced with something gentler as Jake cleared his throat, averting his gaze with reddening cheeks. “Good to know,” he mumbled.
Now it was your turn to tease him. “I see how it is,” you began, grinning. “You can dish it out but once the attention is back on you, you retreat so quickly,” you joke, taking your hands out of your pockets and resting them on the wooden fence. “Like I said, you definitely aren’t a bad boy,” you added, leaning in closer.
“And bad boys definitely aren’t your type,” Jake countered, raising an eyebrow and trying to hide the pink flush on his cheeks.
“Maybe not,” you agreed, loving the way he looked when he was flustered.
“God, I had no idea this is what you were going to be like when I first saw you,” Jake laughed. “So forward out of nowhere.”
“Me walking right up to you and asking for a kiss didn’t tip you off?” You wondered with a chuckle.
“Ah,” Jake held a finger up to stop you. “But that’s not the first time I saw you,” he retorted.
“What do you mean? That’s the first time we ever talked.”
“Yeah, but I had already noticed you before,” he confessed for the first time. “We have that class together three times a week. I noticed you and thought you were really pretty and smart for, like, six weeks before you ever talked to me at that party,” Jake admitted to your great surprise.
“Are you being serious right now?” you wondered, eyes widening. “You’re not just messing with me?”
Jake shook his head. “I met Heeseung in a different class and he noticed that I seemed to have my attention on you when we crossed paths, so he invited me to that party so that he could introduce us,” he admitted, revealing the real reason he came to that party the night you met.
“Wait, Heeseung knew that you liked me?”
“He sure did,” Jake confirmed. “And in the end, he didn’t even have to introduce us. Because what do I know, the moment I walk through the door, there you were. And you were asking me to kiss you, without knowing that I couldn’t possibly refuse you.”
“That’s what he meant when he said you might surprise me,” you realised, finally understanding why Heeseung suddenly seemed so wise and knowledgable tonight. “He knew that you liked me before anybody else did.”
“Exactly,” Jake nodded, and the satisfied grin on his face made you want to kiss him.
“Let’s go out,” you decided on the spot, wanting nothing more than to spend every second with the man in front of you.
His eyes widened. “Yeah?” he exclaimed, startled by your sudden declaration.
“Yeah. Tomorrow, the day after, next week– let’s go out.”
“I think I’m free,” Jake agreed. “And if not, I’ll clear my schedule.”
“Oh really?” you laughed, taking the lapels of his leather jacket in your hands, just like you had the first time you kissed him. “Even your plans to go motorcycle shopping?”
“I’ll just take you with me,” Jake replied easily, brushing his thumb across your cheek. “So you admit, I’d look cool on a motorcycle?”
“What can I say? I guess bad boys are just my type,” you winked, letting Jake pull you in for a kiss.

Lucky Charm
Prompt: When no one knows that they’re secretly married, but after scoring in the Stanley Cup playoffs he sees her in the stands wearing his jersey and holding the kid no one knows he has…and he’s almost knocked on his ass because he can’t take his eyes off her, and the moment is featured on national TV.
The day had been a long one of keeping up with the rambunctious toddler. Of course she wouldn’t exchange it for the world. Between the two parents, she agreed to be the stay at home mom while he provided for them.
It was a last minute decision to be down there at the arena, let alone up against the glass. She wasn’t sure how her girlfriend managed to get the tickets, pretty sure she had them, but the other guests bailed on her.
“Linds, I can’t come! I’ve got no one to watch Salem tonight.”
“Sage, just bring her! I have enough tickets for all of us. She can sit between us. Besides I bet she would love to see her Daddy play!” Salem had just recently turned two-and-a-half, and had only seen her Daddy play on tv and during the open practices.
“Sails you wanna go watch Daddy play?” She giggled and clapped.
“Daddy?” The toddler questioned her mama.
“Yeah, baby. Daddy is at work. Want to go see him?” She nodded, and clapped more. “Okay, fine Linds we will see you there! Text me the tickets!”
“Yay! I promise you’ll have fun!”
With the heavy amount of traffic, both automobiles and pedestrians, it took a little longer to get past security than originally planned. Which meant warm ups were just wrapping up when the pair met up with the friend. “Hi ya Salem!” Salem laughed and waved hi back to her Aunt Linds. “You just missed him, but he will be back out soon.”
The two women chatted as Salem watched the lights and people all around her. He wasn’t a starting player for the game, so she observed him on the bench. He was so sucked into the game, not knowing she was there, so close.
First intermission came in a flash. He had a few shifts during that first period, and she could see how as the game progressed he became more comfortable. Before anyone knew it, second period was under way. Now they would be scoring on the goal the three sat behind. Sage cradled Salem on her hip as she wasn’t tall enough to see over the boards the action of the game.
Her wedding ring glittering off the arena’s obnoxiously bright lights, casting tiny rainbows across the floor, as she held onto her daughter. Her daughter’s wide cerulean blue eyes captivated by the speed of the men whizzing around the large frozen sheet.  “Daddy! Daddy!” The young girl cheered as she caught her first glimpse of him, her long dark curls bouncing as she squirmed around.
He was back across the ice, then back in front of her again. His next shift he lead the puck, finding the back of the net past the Avalanche’s Georgiev. As he comes around the back of the net in a celly, he sees both, and cannot take his eyes off of them.
His teammates flock around him, and he almost gets his ass slammed down to the ice because he gets run into. His only savior being Yanni Gourde and Adam Larson catching him. Even then he cannot seem to break the little trace he’s in. “If you’re watching this round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, you may have just witnessed Vince Dunn almost get taken out by teammates because something outside the rink, in the crowd is distracting him,” an announcer calls.
No doubt that would be the hockey meme of the night, and for the weeks to follow. The Kraken social team was quick to use the gif made from it to post about taking the lead.
@seattlekraken: “us when we realize we have the lead currently”
Salem squeals again in excitement as she sees him smiling at her. She can hear the clicks of cameras sounding off around her as he smiles at them. Sage’s jersey proudly representing her last name of Dunn, and Salem’s with Daddy across the back and Vince’s number. He blows Salem a kiss and a sticking tongue out face, causing the previous reaction to repeat, before skating off.
After winning the game, which gave the Kraken the lead in the series, the biggest question was asked during the interview, “what was that almost landing on your ass about?”
“Well, I-uh…I honestly didn’t expect to see my wife and our daughter standing there right behind the glass,” he smiled. “It definitely caught me off guard, in a good - I mean great way.”
“So that was your daughter?” A report repeated.
“Yes, my wife and daughter were here tonight. Now if you don’t mind, I would love to go see them, so please one final question.” He bounded off, in search of his favorite people. Adam had her outside the locker room, chatting and occasionally bouncing Sails up and down.
“Daaadddyyy!” She screamed when she spotted him, taking off from everyone else.
“Hey my little pumpkin!” He grabbed her kissing her cheek. “I see you came to Daddy’s work!” She nodded vigorously.
“Come on you three, take a family picture!” Linds cheered, pushing Sage into her family. A few photos snapped of the little family.  “Glad you were able to not cause too much chaos tonight,” Sage teased Vince. “Even if you’re still leading in PIMs this season.” He jokingly goes to nip the tip of her nose in retaliation and Salem pushes his face. “Bad daddy. No bites!”
*New Instagram Post - posted photo series of Sage and Vince with Salem’s face not shown, back of her jersey is though*
@vincedunn: “you could say I had my lucky charms in the building tonight”
Comment reply: @sagedunn: “yeah we know you mean @adamlarson 🙄”
Reply: @vincedunn : “if I meant him then why are you sporting my last name on that jersey then? 😜😘”

Tumblr media
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x Fem!Reader/OFC
Summary: As Wednesday promises, she re-plans the date the two of you missed. She's meticulous in planning every aspect because if you don't show up this time for whatever reason, she might chain you to her for the rest of your life.
Warnings: Fluff. Enid, playing bodyguard. Wednesday, is overbearing. Scream crossover? Text message posts.
Series Masterlist | Library Blog | AO3
Reminder there’s no taglist but you can follow my library blog for notifications 💘
Note: i love these two idiots.
Part 10
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷†⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
"This is really unnecessary."
"Don't move," Enid stops painting your nails for half a second to give you a look before resuming. "And don't blame me. Wednesday's the one who's all paranoid about leaving you alone."
You give a nervous chuckle.
You've only started returning to class recently after reviewing all the notes Wednesday took for you. You were lucky enough to be either given an extension on assignments you missed or given a pass since you were a stellar student.
Things are slowly returning back to normal. There had been plenty of gossip about Henry's expulsion. Of course, given his family's status, bail was posted, which his father immediately paid so his son could be locked in his own home. There won't be a trial as Weems was very firm about what would happen if Morrison Sr didn't work to take a plea bargain.
It was only two weeks in that Wednesday declared you were to meet her this Saturday at 7PM sharp, and if you were even half a second late...there would be consequences. You smiled at Wednesday, kissing her cheek at the time, thinking her antics were cute.
But unfortunately, with Saturday here, you find yourself unable to have a moment alone. Enid has been with you all morning, not letting you out of her sight for even a second. Not even when you went to the washroom.
"Are you sure you don't have anything better to do? I thought you were also supposed to be having a date with Ajax today. I'm just going to hang out here," you offer Enid. It's rare to see her without Yoko or Ajax.
Enid sighs. "No, it's fine. Ajax's been busy lately." Enid gives you a look, a quirk on her brow. "And you hanging out alone was why you got fairy-napped last time. Wednesday will erase my existence from this universe if I leave you alone here, even if it's in our room."
You can hear the forlorn dejection in Enid's sigh, and you look at her curiously. "Are things not going well with Ajax? I thought things were going well just a few weeks ago."
Enid scrunches her nose, seemingly trying to focus on painting your pinky nail. It's silent initially as the normally exuberant werewolf gathers her thoughts.
"It's not..." Enid sighs with mild frustration, letting out a puff of breath. "It's not that it's not going well. It just feels like we're...drifting. Ajax has his friend group and after-school activities, and so do I. All we seem to do when we hang out is make out, which, don't get me wrong, was awesome at first. But now..." Enid's voice drifts at the end.
"It's not enough?" You offer, and Enid reluctantly nods.
"Why don't you ask him on a date?" You suggest curiously. Enid was so outgoing; you couldn't imagine her not asking someone out if she wanted to.
Enid purses her lips. "Well, the thing is...I feel like I was the first to tell him I was interested and basically hinted he needed to ask me out on a date. I just want him to, like, take the initiative for once."
"I see," you hum, mulling over the blonde's answer. "Then, will you break up?"
"You ask really hard questions," Enid groans, gently setting your hand down now that she's finished painting your nails.
You study them, admiring the black nail polish with a white accent on your ring fingers. On the white nail, Enid had drawn nail art of wings in black. It was simple, yet you found yourself feeling joyful.
"Thanks, Enid," you smile at her, and Enid beams at you back.
"To answer your question," Enid puts away the nail polish and adjusts herself to sit more comfortably while you're careful not to smudge your nails. "No, I'm not going to break up with him. I just...I guess I'll need to talk to him first."
"Very wise."
Enid pinches your sides, which causes you to yelp in surprise. "Alright, miss bliss, I get you're on cloud nine with your relationship." She gives you a warning look. "Don't tell Wednesday."
"You don't want your boyfriend to become roadkill?"
"Where would Wednesday get a car?"
"I'm sure my girlfriend will be the first person to use a Poe Cup boat to turn someone into roadkill."
Enid gags a little, dramatically throwing herself back onto her bed. "I think I'd rather her just nailgun his heart..."
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷†⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
Wednesday stares at the space before her in deep, analytical thought. She plans to recreate what she's done the evening the date was originally supposed to happen had you not been taken.
Only this time, Wednesday was planning to have the date in your room instead of hers and Enid's. There was a particular appeal about having the space and time alone with you, uninterrupted by the possibility of Enid returning to their shared room early for whatever reason.
Wednesday has noticed that her roommate spends less time with her boyfriend. But since she had no desire to get into that conversation about Enid's feelings unless there was a reason to murder, Wednesday wasn't going to bring it up.
Wednesday feels a tap on her ankle, and she looks down to see Thing pointing at the small gap between the end of your bed and the wall.
"Good idea, Thing," Wednesday praises as she lifts the screen projector and angles it so that it will fit between the spaces.
Your wings were still healing, and Wednesday considered the fact that having the space for you to lie around with your wings out would be beneficial.
Honestly, it would've been better to utilize your studio space, but you've been weirdly insistent about being holed up in your room as of late. A part of Wednesday wonders if it's because you're reluctant to return to your space that no longer feels safe.
The thought of it has Wednesday gripping the pole of the projector tightly, wishing she had done more than gouge out Henry's eyes. She should've taken out his tongue and his thumbs as well. Wednesday feels regretful.
"Thing, did you get the lights?"
Thing scuddles to the corner of the room before he starts dragging out a plastic bag.
"And where did you get it?"
There are some hand gestures, and Wednesday scoffs. "Of course, Xavier would have them. Grab the tape and we'll start hanging these up."
While Thing is busy, Wednesday mulls over what's been nagging at her for the past half hour.
It's not that Wednesday feels fear. No, fear is irrational, and it was definitely irrational to dread not knowing your whereabouts when she knew Enid was with you.
Still, Wednesday pulls the phone out of her pocket, glaring at the stupid device. She sees that she has multiple texts from Eugene and Xavier that she ignores before she shoots you a text.
Immediately, there's a buzz from under your pillow.
Wednesday promptly walks over and sticks her hand under your pillow, swiping until she hits something solid. When she retracts her hand, she finds your phone in it. Her eye momentarily twitches as she lets out a deep, annoyed sigh from her nose.
Wednesday shoots another text from her phone, and the reply is prompt.

"OMG, I can't wait for you two to get on with your date," Enid groans, tossing her phone further down the bed.
You turn your attention away from Enid's laptop screen. Enid says that if Wednesday was culturing you on murder-y films and documentaries, she would catch you up on pop culture. Hence, you were currently watching Mean Girls with a deep interest.
"What's wrong?" You ask Enid, eyeing her phone that seemed to buzz every fifteen minutes for the last hour.
"What's wrong is that your girlfriend is psychotically paranoid that I can't keep you safe and you've forgotten your own phone back in your own room!" Enid grabs a pillow and smushes it against her face. "This is why having a phone is important! But I almost want to kill Xavier for getting Wednesday one. Only she would be able to find a way to torture me with my beloved technology."
You give Enid an amused look, reaching to grab her phone. You swipe at the notification, but the passcode screen comes up.
"1031, it's when Yoko and I became friends," Enid's answer was muffled by her pillow.
You merely raise your brow at the information but enter the passcode.
The text you see...baffle you.

You can't help but slightly laugh while Enid glares at you, tossing a pillow at you but carefully ensuring it isn't too rough.
"Laugh all you want, but I have half a mind to make you late for your date tonight. See how funny you think it is when Wednesday chains you to her for the rest of your life. Think how easy it will be to go to the bathroom in that situation."
You stop laughing.

6:50PM.
Wednesday carefully checks over her preparations for the last time. The food was hot, the movie marathon was set up, and Wednesday turned on the fairy lights while Thing turned off the ceiling light.
Wednesday opens your window slightly, knowing you like a light breeze before she lit the candles she placed around your room.
The time grows closer, and Wednesday feels antsy as she thrums her fingers against your desk.
Wednesday has to refrain from texting Enid again. She admits she enjoyed torturing Enid with her timely texts, but eventually, her roommate put her foot down and told Wednesday she would text if there were any issues and then stopped replying.
This was why phones were so unreliable.
"Thing—" Wednesday starts to say, but the disembodied hand is already scuttling off to go grab you. She sighs and relents that she was just ensuring you would arrive in a timely manner—a minute earlier even.
Wednesday waits near the door with her arms crossed over her chest. Minutes pass, but soon, she can hear multiple footsteps. She hears your soft and melodic voice, and the tension in her shoulders seeps out.
How annoying.
But when your face is the first thing Wednesday sees at the door, she feels like she can exhale. It's like the satisfying feeling of executing a well-planned strategy, and it might as well have been to make sure you got here.
"Hi, Wednesday," you greet her with a smile on your lips, clearly happy to see her.
Wednesday nods, but then Enid's face pops up in front of yours, grinning all wide and excited.
"O-M-G!" Enid squeals. "I still can't believe you planned all this even though it's the second time I'm seeing this. I'm so proud of you, Wednesday!"
"Thanks," Wednesday deadpans. "Now, leave."
Enid scrunches her nose at her roommate, making a disapproving click of her tongue. "You're welcome for playing watchdog today, BTW. You owe me, Addams."
"And I'm sure you will come to collect, but not today," Wednesday grabs your wrist and pulls you into the room. "Bye." Wednesday shuts the door.
You adjust Wednesday's grip on your wrist, letting your fingers trail along the inside of hers before they fall together like puzzle pieces, slotting together perfectly.
Wednesday turns to look at you, her face blank, but the way her long lashes kiss her eyelids as she blinks enthralls you. The way her eyes trail your form, taking in every last bit, makes you smile.
"I made it in one piece, see?"
"Debatable."
You chuckle, looking around your room, feeling something settle inside you at the obvious amount of effort Wednesday put in.
Turning back to your girlfriend, you notice that Wednesday seems tense, and you realize she's waiting for you to say something. You squeeze her hand.
You lean close to her, biting your bottom lip at the way Wednesday tilts her face toward you.
"You're so dreadful," you mutter, wanting to compliment her in a way she would find flattering, and you think you saw the corner of Wednesday's lip twitch upward.
"Flattery will get you nowhere," Wednesday raises her brow at you.
"Oh, I don't know," you smirk. "No harm in trying."
You're just about to kiss her when you see something from the corner of your eye. You smelled it when you walked into the room, and it smelled delicious, but you had been distracted.
But now...
You stand straighter to look. "Is that a makeshift stove on my desk?"
"We will be having sea witch paella."
You smile but then notice something missing from your desk. You turn to Wednesday with a raised brow.
"And why did you use my picture with Bianca as kindling?"
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷†⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
"I'm surprised you went with this movie choice."
Wednesday sighs, partly in revulsion at the screen. You were lying on your stomach in bed, your wings out and Wednesday massaging medicine into it as you went back for seconds on the paella. It's gone late into the night, and the two of you have binged through several movies.
"Xavier was adamant that we watch the movies as the 6th one came out and they'll eventually try to ambush us into a movie night with them."
"I mean, it's kind of fascinating, don't you think?" You tilt your head at the screen just as someone is getting stabbed.
"Fascinating in the sense that it's painful to watch everyone in this franchise be so incompetent," Wednesday counters, but then smiles. "But it's amusing.
You laugh as Wednesday finishes working on your wings and sit up, placing your empty bowl on the coffee table. "Well, I do suppose if we were in Scream—not as supernatural beings, mind you—Ghostface wouldn't stand a chance against you. Unless you were Ghostface, then maybe it'd be a different story."
"Please," Wednesday scoffs. "If this amateur can kill this many people, it'd be dreadfully boring for me."
"Oh?" you grin at her. "So, you'd rather be one of the good guys?"
Wednesday's expression quickly morphs into disgust and disbelief that you'd insult her like that.
You laugh again but shake your head. "I would hope you'd stop Ghostface because I would definitely die."
"You're that pathetic that you'd let some fool kill you?" Wednesday shook her head. "You might as well let me end your misery then."
"I will be honest," you nudge Wednesday's shoulder, moving your arm to loop through hers as you pull her close. "I'm unfortunately nearly useless without my wings and powers, as I've never known otherwise. I can't imagine I'd do well as a normie if someone tried to kill me."
Wednesday is silent, seemingly in deep thought about your words.
You hum. "But maybe I'll be like Tara, which is funny because she kind of looks like you."
"Who?"
You chuckle, nudging your head towards the screen. "The girl that got stabbed in the beginning and is fighting for her life in the hospital right now."
"She's not awful," Wednesday concedes. "Whimpering and feeble, but I suppose she survived."
You were starting to lose interest in the movie, but in all fairness, you've sat through four movies in a row. You begin to lean over Wednesday, hovering over her as you trap her between your bed and arms. Your wings hide her from the world, and despite Wednesday having a neutral expression, you have a glint in your eye at the way she has her hands on your waist.
"Well, quite honestly, I'm not that worried. Ghostface should be smart enough to not mess with Wednesday Addams' girlfriend. What do you think?" You grin at her, and Wednesday looks annoyed that you seem to be gloating but also is begrudgingly in agreement.
Wednesday rolls her eyes before she slides one hand behind your neck and pulls you closer until your lips just brush over hers. There's the sound of screams and stabbing noises in the background, and Wednesday can't think of anything more romantic to set the mood.
"Correct. I'll kill anyone who even thinks of touching a single hair on your head."

Regency + Bridgerton + ABO
When he was younger and more stupidly eager to fall in love, Obi-Wan eloped with a handsome older alpha. He thought they would marry. He had so many daydreams of their future. His favorite had been of the two of them lounging together in front of the fireplace while Obi-Wan held their pups in his arms.
His hopes were swiftly crushed when the reality of the situation bore itself. After about a week holed up in bed, the alpha abandoned him. Obi-Wan had called around and looked across the city. There was no trace of him.
He had been forced to come home; husbandless and mateless. He was ashamed at his own naivety. But at least he had been spared the awfulness of becoming pregnant. If nothing else, he did not have to bear the child of an alpha that did not want him.
He became a social pariah overnight; ostracized by friends and family. He was eventually sent to live with his uncle in the city. The rumors and whispers followed him but it was nowhere near as bad as it had been.
Now at 38 he has accepted he will never find love or a mate. He is content with his life. He had to be.
He has stopped dressing in the delicate fashions of an omega. He dresses like a beta, plain but respectable. He's also grown a beard. It is unusual for one such as him but he keeps it trim and neat. Plus it's good for business. He owns a tailor shop in town and he knows how lucky he is to have his own income and way of remaining independent. He's acquired a steady clientele and is quite happy with his work.
Obi-Wan has been invited to the spring opening ball. It helps that he is friends with Bail and Breha who are high society members. They were the first ones who gave his little shop a try thereby giving his business a jumpstart. Obi-Wan doesn't go out much these days. He stays inside and works on his suits and ties and, on occasion, omegan dresses. To be honest he'd rather stay home where it's comfortable but it would be nice to mingle and spread the word about his shop. He hopes to make waves in the community with his original designs. He's got a new line this season that he's quite proud of. So he accepts the invitation.
Enter Lord Skywalker. He is 22 and ready to enter society and find a wife. His father has recently died and left him with the estate. He is this season's most eligible bachelor. He's got a rakish sort of smile that's more fitted for a scoundrel. He's got his eye on the diamond of this season: Padme Amidala. She was lovely, well mannered, and not to mention well bred. She would make a fine wife.
Anakin roams the room, conversing and scoping out the omegas. He hears the local gossip about Obi-Wan Kenobi being here. Who? He turns and sees the man they were whispering about. Apparently he was involved in some sort of scandal and fled to the city when he was younger. Anakin blocks out the rest. He doesn't care for gossip. It served him no purpose, and besides, he was here for other things.
Across the room as Obi-Wan talks with Bail and Breha he notices the young Lord Skywalker. Goodness the alphas had gotten even more handsome since he'd last been to one of these balls. But that was long ago. He feels a pang of nostalgia for all the dances he used to do. No one had asked him for a dance in years. He'd probably fall over his own feet if he tried now.
Back on the floor, Anakin isn't the only one on the prowl. Lord Rush Clovis is also in pursuit of Padme Amidala. Both alphas keep trying to ask her to dance or to get her a drink or start a conversation about the latest books they've read. Anakin has about had it. He's never liked Clovis before and he certainly doesn't now.
The two alphas start posturing and sniping at each other. Trying to figure out how to one up the other.
Currently, Clovis has stolen Amidala away for a dance. Anakin stalks the room, watching them with frustration. He decides to mingle with others to cool his rising temper. He says hello to the hosts of the evening, Mr. And Mrs. Organa. He is formally introduced to their good friend Obi-Wan Kenobi, the local tailor. He kisses the back of Kenobi's hand, remembering his manners as the late Lady Shmi had taught him.
“I'm sure with hands as beautiful as yours you do fine craft work indeed, sir.”
Obi-Wan bursts out laughing. He immediately stops and apologizes. If he were young that line would have worked. But he sees it now for what It is: an alpha trying out new material to prop up his own ego with pithy flirtations.
“Forgive me my Lord. Yes, I take great pride in my work.”
Anakin is flabbergasted. Most omegas fell over themselves with his attentions! Even Padme had blushed and smiled sweetly, obviously flustered by his scent and good genes. One would think a weathered, old omega like Mr. Kenobi would be grateful for even a crumb of attention from such a virile alpha!
Anakin bows his head politely and swiftly ends the conversion. The dance had ended and he wanted to go find Amidala again. Perhaps he should say something funny and make her laugh.
Instead finds Lord Clovis. Clovis turns to Anakin with a sneer. “Listen pup, I've been friends with Padme for years! She's not going to choose you over me!”
“If she was going to choose you she'd have done it already!”
“Listen, we both wish to pursue her and obviously neither of us are willing to back down.”
Anakin snorts. He had that right.
“I propose a wager. We let each man have his chance every other week. No interruptions. No sabotaging. No backstabbing. You may call on her on your days, I call her on mine. Then we both propose at the end of the season. Whoever she chooses wins.”
Anakin shakes his hand. Deal.
The only problem? Anakin has never wooed anyone before. It's fine though. He'll just wing it. He's been reliably informed that he can be very charming, so he's pretty sure he's got this in the bag.
-
He doesn't have this in the bag. He's fucked! He's messed this entire thing up!
Their first date had been horrendous. Anakin kept putting his foot in his mouth. At any point he would start to spout weird nonsense. (“Look! A bird! Is that a cardinal?” “That's a robin, My Lord.”)
(“I love warm weather! I love being warm! It's so nice to be warm don't you agree?”)
Not to mention Clovis was so much more up on the latest trends. Not to say that Anakin wasn't stylish, but it was hard to keep up with fluctuating fashion.
This train of thought leads him to remember meeting the local tailor, Kenobi. He enters the shop looking for a new suit. Kenobi is perfectly polite and helpful.
Obi-Wan gets out his measuring tape and starts to measure Lord Skywalker. He makes conversation as one does and asks for what occasion was the suit for? The Lord starts rambling on about wooing the Lady Amidala and how he needed to look his absolute best for her. Obi-Wan assures him he will look fantastic (though the Lord needed little help in that department). As he works Skywalker then switches gears and starts to rant about how he was contending with Lord Clovis for her affections and didn't Obi-Wan also find him daft? How did anyone put up with the man? He was so horrid and rude and overbearing and Obi-Wan lost count of the many, many complaints of Clovis’ character and face.
Obi-Wan smirks to himself. Looks like the young bucks were about to start fighting. Poor Miss Amidala caught in the middle. Then again maybe she found it entertaining. After all, he had thought so once upon a time as well.
He touches over Skywalker’s arms and legs, measuring each carefully. Skywalker was built very well. When he glances up he can see red dusting the man's cheeks. Oh my. The alpha seemed to be getting flustered.
“Have you been to many tailoring shops my lord?”
“Of course I have!” Skywalker snaps. Then he remembers himself. “Though never one owned by an omega I admit. It is a bit unusual.”
Obi-Wan brushes his hands over Skywalker’s chest as he measures across it. The Lord sucks in a breath. Obi-Wan couldn't stop smiling if he tried. It was probably just the mild indecency of the entire situation that had Skywalker reacting the way that he was. But Obi-Wan can't help but be flattered at the thought that he could fluster anyone at this point in his age. Especially an alpha like Lord Skywalker.
He finishes and has Skywalker step down.
“If I may be so bold, what are your plans on your next attempt at courting Miss Amidala?”
Skywalker tells him. It's all very standard and cliche. Nevertheless, he was clearly very earnest. Obi-Wan decides to give him some pointers. He's an omega after all and he knows what one would appreciate.
-
Anakin returns frequently for more suits. He had to stay on top of Clovis and his game after all. Plus Amidala–or Padme now–seemed to like his outfits. She complimented all of them. Anakin should have to take her here some time and have Kenobi make her a new dress or a hat perhaps. He really did do superb work.
As the weeks pass Anakin continues to return and talk to Obi-Wan about how it was coming along. Sometimes he waxes poetry about Padme and how their future will be perfect, already thinking about the names of their children. Other times it'll be about Clovis and his stupid face and how he will die alone and penniless.
Obi-Wan indulges him. He keeps giving him advice as well on what to do and say to help win her heart.
One day, out of the blue, Skywalker rushes into his shop utterly distraught. The source of his distress? He reveals Amidala had touched his hand.
Obi-Wan is confused. This was a good thing right?
“I didn't know if I was supposed to kiss it or hold it or rub my fingers over her wrist?!”
Oh sweet merciful father. The realization staggers him. This alpha was a virgin.
Obi-Wan shakes off the initial shock. It was actually kind of sweet now that he thinks about it. Many alphas did not wait for marriage these days.
Taking pity, Obi-Wan takes his hand and shows him. “Here. Like this.”
He caresses his wrist like one would a mate, scenting it lightly.
Skywalker is blushing again. Goodness it made him so handsome!
“And…and sh-should I hold her for very long?” He stammers out.
Obi-Wan answers any and all questions he has. Skywalker was so earnest in learning. So eager to please the omega he had chosen.
Several minutes later Skywalker asks shyly, “Can you teach me more?”
Obi-Wan hesitates. It wasn’t done. But Skywalker clearly wanted to do this. Neither did he want to send the boy into the red light district. They'd ruin him there. And, buried deep, there was a secret kernel that delighted in the fact Skywalker thought to ask him first. Trusted him enough to guide him.
And so they set up special visits to Skywalker’s home. They were disguised to look like private tailor sessions but in reality Skywalker just wanted to learn more about how to touch another romantically. They start to talk and bond. They have lunch together and take strolls through the estate garden.
Then Skywalker asks for Obi-Wan to teach him how to kiss. Obi-Wan couldn't refuse if he wanted to.
They press against each other sweetly. Just a small nip.
“Open up a little.” He says. Skywalker obeys.
They kiss again.
Skywalker pulls back and scrunches his nose. “Your mouth is very wet.”
“Yes, that's generally what the state of mouths usually are,” Obi-Wan chuckles.
They kiss more. By the end of the session Skywalker gets frighteningly good at it. One would never be able to tell this was his first time. He starts to explore Obi-Wan's arms and chest, letting his hands wander.
They break away, both gasping for breath that doesn't seem to want to come.
“That's enough for today I think,” Obi-Wan breathes.
“Oh,” Skywalker says, clearly disappointed. “You're right. I need to prepare for tomorrow.”
That's right. He was calling upon Amidala tomorrow.
Obi-Wan's heart twists at the thought of Skywalker kissing someone else like that. But his lips were never meant for him. This was all just temporary. He'd known that when he first agreed to it. Still, the logic did nothing to soothe his aching heart.
“I wish you success Lord Skywalker.”
“Please, we've exchanged many kisses by now. I should think you can call me Anakin.”
Obi-Wan smiles. “Anakin.”
He thinks he may see Anakin shiver but it must be a trick of the light.
-
Obi-Wan finds himself having a pleasant walk with Miss Kyze in the park. She was visiting family for the summer. They used to be playmates when they were small and he's missed her very much so.
Normally he would dress in the plain clothes of a beta. But he has forgone the long overcoat and cravat. Instead he thought he'd match Satine and wear something a little more suited for an omega. He currently sported a short, velvet jacket that was cropped around his middle. The tail of it flowed out and around him. Lace and frill adorned his trousers in a beautiful representation of spring. And of course to complete it, a top hat with his own style of ribbons and flowers.
Anakin happens upon them. He is currently walking with Amidala on his arm. He appears flustered and red in the face as if he's been running.
“Good day, my lord.”
“Good day,” Anakin replies hoarsely.
There is an awkward pause as Anakin just stares. He then jolts into action as he introduces Padme Amidala and Obi-Wan subsequently introduces Satine Kryze. Everyone bows politely.
Then Anakin blurts out, “Do you not have an alpha escorting you this day?”
Everyone looks at him.
“No, my Lord. But I assure you Miss Kyze and I are perfectly fine.”
Anakin purses his lips. Looking unsure. Obi-Wan knows it is only societal duty that has Anakin hesitating. For surely the man would not care otherwise and swiftly return to providing Amidala his attention?
“We could all walk together,” Anakin offers, not noticing Amidala’s raised brow.
Obi-Wan smiles. “That is very kind of you to offer. But I'm quite adept at walking at this point in my age.”
“Yes I–well I suppose…” Anakin trails off.
Obi-Wan means to press on, thinking the conversation done. But Anakin lingers, looking out of place and lost.
“Yes?” Obi-Wan asks. “Was there something else?”
Anakin mumbles and excuses himself. He pulls Amidala to him and they continue down the path.
“Obi-Wan, what have you done to that poor boy?” Satine asks him as soon as the two are out of earshot.
Obi-Wan looks back. “I've no idea.”
-
The thing about Anakin was that he swiveled between bold and insecure in a single drop of a pin. One could never hope to keep up with him.
“Teach me how to fuck!” He demands.
Obi-Wan had not even sat down yet. He was barely ten steps into Skywalker's home. He assesses the other man, alpha pride radiating off of him, petulantly demanding attention. He frowns up at him. He doubted Anakin was trying to use his height on purpose but he still didn't like it.
Anakin crumbles, all confidence melting as Obi-Wan continues his silence.
“...please.”
Obi-Wan folds his arms. What had brought this on?
Kissing and scenting were one thing. But making love was another thing entirely. As much as he wanted to, Obi-Wan cannot say yes.
“You do realize you can hire services for this sort of thing?” Even though the very suggestion pains him, Obi-Wan pushes the words out anyway. “They can be very discreet.”
“No!” Anakin stops and clears his throat. Embarrassed at his outburst. “I mean, I want it to be you. I trust you, Obi-Wan. You're my friend.”
Obi-Wan sallows. “I shall have to think about it.”
-
Obi-Wan is panicking. This has escalated into something he's no control of. The problem isn't that Anakin wants to have sex, the problem is that Obi-Wan is already halfway in love with him. It wouldn't be fair to take advantage in this way. Using the little Lord like this for his own selfish desires.
Anakin keeps pestering him about it day by day, needling away at his resolve. He asks when he comes into his shop for a new pair of gloves or coat. He asks him at home when they're talking or kissing. It happens every time they see each other. He can't take much more of this. Lord have mercy he's only a man.
It finally happens in a way neither of them really anticipate. Obi-Wan is currently taking measurements for an alpha in his shop. The alpha was making snide comments about his “shoddy” work and insulting his business. Obi-Wan tries to ignore it. He is not new to unruly customers. This one was just like all the rest. And so long as he paid he could be as rude as he liked.
But then Anakin enters and everything takes a turn. Normally the man would wait quietly by the wayside for Obi-Wan to finish attending to his current customer. But as the alpha continued to make offhand comments, Anakin bristled from his corner. It doesn’t take long for him to step in and defend Obi-Wan's honor. He tells, more demands, that the other alpha leave. The other man snarls, offended. Anakin growls back at them to leave before they come to regret it.
The other alpha takes in Anakin's form. He was taller and bigger. They huff and concede. “Fine, I didn't want to buy anything from a subpar omega anyway.”
Anakin locks the door behind the alpha, making sure they did not try to come back.
“You didn't have to do that,” Obi-Wan says. “I'm used to it.”
“You shouldn't be!” Anakin nearly shouts. “You're amazing! You deserve more than this!”
Obi-Wan frowns. “This is my life's work and I'm quite proud of it.”
Anakin winces. He was always putting his foot in his mouth. “I meant more than what they give you! More than what they say about you.”
Anakin takes Obi-Wan's hand and kisses his wrist. Tender and sweet, just the way he'd shown him several months ago. “You're the most incredible person I've ever met.”
He didn't say an incredible omega. He said incredible person.
Obi-Wan has a hard time meeting Anakin's gaze. He wasn't used to people praising him. His work certainly. But personally? No.
“Well I seem to recall an alpha telling me such beautiful hands must produce beautiful work.”
Anakin smiles. He's so dashing it hurts. He turns Obi-Wan's hand over and kisses his palm too. He nuzzles Obi-Wan, scenting him unconsciously
“I'll teach you.” It spills out of him. He can't take it back now.
Anakin's eyes widen in surprise. He grins in delight.
“You will?” He falls into Obi-Wan, hugging him close and eager to get started. Obi-Wan pulls back, resting a soft hand on Anakin's chest. “Darling please, I'm not so young anymore. Be gentle.”
“You're not that old.”
“Thank you for thinking so.”
He tries to convince this impossible alpha that he needed to close up shop so they could go back to his home where it's more comfortable and safe. But Anakin wants to do it now. He is practically vibrating with need. Obi-Wan should say no. He should. But the word gets stuck under his tongue. Obi-Wan wanted him just as badly. He was already getting wet. Perhaps it was better to do it here. If he had to wait for a carriage the smell of his arousal would only get worse. The driver and staff would all smell him. He'd be mortified.
Obi-Wan leads Anakin to the back where it's filled with choice fabrics and cotton. He sets about making a makeshift nest. Then he takes off his clothing one by one. He turns to see Anakin is just standing there rooted to the spot and blinking furiously.
“Take off your clothes, Anakin. Or shall I help you?”
Anakin audibly swallows. He starts to unbutton his jacket and undoes his cravat. Obi-Wan lies down in his nest, watching Anakin undress. The sight is a lovely one. Each section of golden skin is like a present. He commits it to memory. This is all he will ever be allowed to have and he will cherish it.
Obi-Wan pats the space beside him, urging Anakin to sit down. Anakin comes. He always comes to him. Despite his earlier eagerness he seems jittery, nervous.
“I want to be good for you,” Anakin admits softly, his confession sweetening the air.
It is the alpha that is supposed to teach their omega about sex. They're supposed to be the experienced party on such matters. But Anakin has no idea what he's doing with Obi-Wan. He just wants to make him feel good.
Just like with his kisses, Obi-Wan found Anakin’s innocence sweet. At times the alpha would act arrogant and pompous like any high society member should act; like he was owed the world. But once Obi-Wan peeled back the layers, he'd discovered it was all bravado. A boy trying to be a man.
It was adorable.
“Come here, dearest.”
Obi-Wan pulls him closer. He takes Anakin's hand and slowly guides it down to his entrance. His sex is glistening, heavy with gushing arousal.
“I'll show you what to do.”
Anakin presses a finger against his throbbing hole. “I don't wanna hurt you.”
“You won't.”
Obi-Wan remembers those days spent in that hotel room with what he thought would be his future husband. It had been nice. He had found and experienced pleasure there. And even though it was tainted by what happened after, the sex had not been bad. He'd had nothing to compare it to after all.
Anakin pushes in and every single memory of his first time is pushed out. Anakin grips him like he'll die without him. He kisses like he's on fire and Obi-Wan is water. He fucks him like he's the only one he'll ever want the rest of his life. Anakin consumes him, down to his last cell. Nothing will ever be better than this, than Anakin. He didn't know sex could be like this.
He strokes himself and comes. Anakin growls, thrusting wildly at the sight of Obi-Wan undone. He pops his knot in and it's like something inside his soul clicks. Anakin rolls his hips in little thrusts, riding his high.
They breathe heavily, locked together and spent. Anakin kisses Obi-Wan's face, his nose and cheeks and chin. He feels himself start to grow hard again while still inside the other man. Obi-Wan whines. Just hearing it makes Obi-Wan blush. He can't believe that sound came out of his body. He doesn't remember ever being this needy. But he needed Anakin.
Anakin starts moving again, rolling his hips despite the fact they were still knotted. Obi-Wan can feel his cock inside him harden and grow. He pants, whining again. Higher this time. The knot is pulsing, throbbing against his inner walls. He moans Anakin's name over and over again.
Anakin dips down and captures his lips, tasting his name upon them. Overwhelmed, Obi-Wan bites him. It's not enough to draw blood but Obi-Wan apologizes nonetheless. It was unbecoming to try and bite someone that was not one's intended mate.
“It's alright,” Anakin murmurs against his throat. “I kind of liked it. You should do it again.”
Obi-Wan does not do it again. Anakin tries not to be disappointed. Still, it was ridiculous how hot it had made Anakin to know he could make such a poised and proper man so wild with lust it made him forget himself. He wants to make Obi-Wan make that sound again. He wants to make him moan and shake until he can't stand it. He wants to…
Anakin spills over again, nestled deep within in. He wanted Obi-Wan to be full of his cum. Full of love. Full of Anakin.
-
They are woken in the morning by loud knocking and curious voices. Obi-Wan jolts up from the floor where he and Anakin were sprawled. Oh no: customers. He rubs his face and groans. They'd spent the whole night there.
“Anakin? Darling, wake up.”
He brushes the hair away from Anakin's sleeping face. Anakin stirs. He yawns and sits up.
“What is it?”
“We fell asleep. You have to go now.”
The smell of sex was everywhere. Not to mention one of the finished jackets that had been hanging up had been damaged. God, that must be the client at the door ready to pick it up. He'd told them it'd be ready today.
He couldn't just ignore them until they went away. He had to open the door. And once he did there would be no masking the scent or evidence of what has transpired. It would take days to air the shop out. Obi-Wan wouldn't be able to deny it.
Obi-Wan hurries, stress beginning to set in. He puts his clothes back on then throws Anakin his clothes and tells him to get dressed.
“Obi-Wan?”
“You have to leave! You can't be here!”
His shop and sales would surely take a hit. He should have known better. When would he stop falling into bed with alphas? When would he learn?
Anakin argues. If he was so worried then just stay closed? But Obi-Wan cannot do that. It's not that simple. This was his livelihood.
“It's alright Anakin. Just go.”
Anakin hesitates.
“If anyone finds you here it won't be good for your reputation.”
Anakin frowns. “I don't care.”
Obi-Wan nearly rolls his eyes. “You don't mean that. You have your whole life ahead of you! You have no idea what it means to be a social outcast!”
They stare at one another. The knocking is getting insistent. The voice sounds angry and impatient.
“Go Anakin.”
“But I…”
“I highly doubt Amidala will consider your hand in marriage if she hears you slept with your tailor.”
Anakin’s jaw shuts. Obi-Wan tries not to be hurt. He'd known he was just practice after all. He ushers Anakin to the back door and shoves him through. He closes the door and turns to face the consequences of his choices.
-
Obi-Wan had worked hard to separate himself from his boyhood mistakes. He'd toiled and studied and took insults with grace. And although his reputation would never be what it once was, the community finally accepted Kenobi the tailor. He had done it. He'd carved out a life for himself. But now it seems his reputation was dashed once again.
Rumors fly about how Kenobi was a promiscuous omega that lured alphas into his place of business. A whore. He probably had alphas pay him in sex instead of money because he was so lonely and desperate.
He'd known better than this. He'd known it could never end any other way. But Obi-Wan had lived his whole life without someone to share it with. And even if it was only for a few short moments, he's glad it got to share something with Anakin. And who knows? Maybe they'll invite him to the wedding.
-
Several days later Anakin returns to the shop. It's been quiet recently. Not a lot of clients.
“I'm sorry it took me so long,” Anakin says. “But you were right, I had to think about my future and what I want.”
Obi-Wan's shoulders sag. This was it. They would end their friendship here and now.
However, to his horror and complete shock, Anakin tries to propose.
He starts spouting nonsense and whimsical poetry. “Your beauty has no compare! Your character of strength has gripped me beyond measure! I cannot think about anyone else but you! I love you, Obi-Wan. Please do me the honor of accepting my hand.”
Obi-Wan cannot bear it. He turns away. He was the boy's first sexual experience. Anakin is just confused.
“You're just confused.”
At first Anakin is taken back, asking Obi-Wan to elaborate, then the anger comes as he realizes he's being rejected. Obi-Wan remains steadfast in the face of Anakin’s vehement arguing.
“I'm not what you need, Anakin.”
He was still more of a boy than a man. Obi-Wan knew what it was like to fancy yourself in love. This was a simple infatuation that would pass.
“But I do love you!” Anakin says. “Why do you not believe me?”
Obi-Wan couldn't allow himself to be selfish. Amidala was beautiful and kind and would be a perfect match.
“Maybe you do, but even if that were true it doesn't change the fact I am but a humble tailor. I'm not a good match for you.”
“I don't care about that! I don't care about any of it!”
“What about children?”
Anakin stops. “What?”
“I'm past my prime, Anakin. I don't know if I can even have kids.”
Anakin has talked of pups before back when he waxed on about his future with Amidala. He wanted children. He would be an amazing father. He deserved that if nothing else.
“I don't care,” Anakin says again, though much more subdued. “I need you, Obi-Wan. My heart beats in your chest.”
Obi-Wan smiles sadly. Perhaps in this moment Anakin really didn't care about having children, but he would months or years down the road. And beyond his feelings on the matter he still needed an heir.
Obi-Wan had nothing to offer him. His social standing was in tatters, his business was dying, and he couldn't even provide the one thing all alphas needed from an omega. He was a terrible choice. He'd only bring Anakin down with him.
“No, my Lord.” He steps back, putting distance between them.
Anakin tries to move towards him, but Obi-Wan shakes his head. Anakin's arms hang loosely at his sides, limp and useless.
He was lovely when he cried, Obi-Wan thinks. Anakin's tears are fat and glistening. They roll down his cheeks. Anakin wipes them away angrily, pushing away his heartache.
He snaps at Obi-Wan, growing mean. He says hurtful things. Awful things.
“Perhaps if you weren't such a coward you wouldn't be so alone! No wonder no one ever wanted you!”
He storms off, slamming the door behind him. Obi-Wan swears if he looks down he'll see both their shattered hearts on the floor.
-
About a week later he learns of Amidala’s engagement. He tries to be happy for them, really puts in a valiant effort. But it was difficult.
The bell to his shop sounds. Obi-Wan looks up. He is surprised to find Miss Amidala. She smiles kindly at him. She is perfectly cordial and courteous.
She invites him to the wedding. Obi-Wan is nonplussed that she would do so personally.
“I would like you there please. Say you'll come?”
She did not say Anakin would like him there, in fact she does not mention him at all. Did Anakin send her? Did he even know she was here? Their friendship had been no secret. Perhaps she'd assumed they were in a tiff and decided to do them a favor.
Obi-Wan burns with the need to ask. But he stays his tongue. Regardless of her answer he knew he would go. Of course he would.
She buys a hat before leaving and gives him another undeserved smile. If she knew what had happened a mere fortnight prior she would not have asked. Perhaps she did not listen to local gossip. Or perhaps she put no stock in rumors. Either way, Obi-Wan would need to figure out what he was going to wear.
-
The wedding is held in a beautiful church. Obi-Wan stays near the back, trying to blend into the wall. He'd debated dressing in his absolute best. But it wasn't like he was trying to show off, he wasn't here to win Anakin back.
He settles for something in between, a nice Sunday suit. Obi-Wan sits on the back pew waiting for the ceremony to get started. He'd seen Amidala earlier to drop off her last minute veil. He apologized for the late delivery (he'd dragged his feet admittedly) and she assured him it was fine. She'd given him almost no notice for it after all. She'd looked quite radiant in it, a perfect bride.
Someone sits down beside him. Obi-Wan turns. He almost thinks his mind is playing tricks on him for he swears he's staring at Anakin Skywalker.
Obi-Wan looks sharply up at the altar. There is no groom. Only the maid of honor, Sabe Naberrie. The music starts to play signaling to everyone it had begun. Obi-Wan looks back at Anakin. He's still there.
“What are you doing?!” He hisses. “You need to get back! Your wedding is about to–”
The chapel doors open. Everyone turns to look. Padme Amidala walks through. She smiles at Sabe across the aisle. Obi-Wan stares. And he stares. He watches Miss Amidala walk up to the altar to join Miss Naberrie who–he now realizes–is dressed in fine alpha attire.
Oh.
He'd…he had assumed that…he glances over at Anakin. The other man's brow is raised in question. Obi-Wan turns back to the front. Turns out it was rather hard to keep up with local news and gossip when one's shop was suffering a lack of clientele.
“Padme told me you were coming,” Anakin whispers.
“So you did send her then,” Obi-Wan whispers back.
“No, she's just smarter than me.”
Anakin watches the two women.
“She also said you looked like you were about to cry the whole time.”
Obi-Wan sighs. “Did you enjoy watching me flounder about like a fool?”
“Actually yes.”
Obi-Wan snorts. He can't begrudge him for that he supposed. He did break his heart after all.
“I'm sorry for what I said when I left. I did not mean those things.”
“All is forgiven, Anakin.”
“But they were awful–”
“Yes, they were. But the past is past. It does not matter anymore, my friend.”
They fall silent again. Amidala and Naberrie exchange vows. It was quite lovely actually.
Anakin turns to look at him. “What will it take for you to marry me?”
“Anakin, this is hardly the time!”
“I can make you happy, Obi-Wan. Please let me try.”
At the front of the church the priest pronounces them Alpha and Omega, married until death. The two kiss.
“Anakin please,” he can't do this again. Not again. He's not strong enough to reject this man twice. And yet he must.
Anakin may not have married Amidala, but that didn't mean he should marry him. Obi-Wan was still a poor choice. Nothing had changed about that.
“I can't give you what you need.”
He couldn't stand it if Anakin grew to resent his choices later in life. And he would. Obi-Wan knows it.
“You're all I need. Nothing else.”
The wedding couple walks back down the aisle together. People stand and clap as they pass.
Obi-Wan flees. Anakin was right. He was a coward.
He can hear Anakin call out for him but he ignores it. Maybe he'll get tired of chasing after him and leave him alone.
He's made it out of the church and is headed for the back to hide somewhere when something snatches his wrist. Anakin spins him around, forcing Obi-Wan to face him. They're both breathing hard, twin expressions of desperation.
Anakin grips him hard, lest Obi-Wan wiggle out of his grasp and disappear. He kneels down on one knee. Obi-Wan's heart flies into his throat. No, no, no! Anyone could walk this way and see them!
“Obi-Wan, l'll respect your wishes if you refuse. But please allow me this last try.”
Obi-Wan begins to tremble. They were out in the open, hearts and desire bare for all the world should anyone look. But Anakin is only looking at him. It's as if he is not aware of his surroundings. Only Obi-Wan exists for him in this moment.
“Marry me, Obi-Wan.” Anakin kisses his knuckles reverently, pleadingly. “Choose me, because I will always choose you.”
Obi-Wan is used to having his heart torn and shattered. He's used to people being careless and cruel. But this ache does not feel like he's breaking, it feels like the stitch of a needle.
“I'll never deny you. I'll always be there when you need me. Marry me, Obi-Wan.”
This may yet end in regret and anger and hurt. But maybe it won't. Obi-Wan would never know until he tried. Didn't he deserve to try?
Obi-Wan feels his lips move, his heartbeat is thunder in his ears. But he holds Anakin's gaze and he feels the world slow.
“...yes.”

ISSUES. . . . xavier thorpe x gn!reader
"after that night he knew it was you all along."
genre: hurt/comfort
part 1

Tumblr media
semestral break begins, students went home. well, most of them. you however decided to stay behind, after all the events that happened with wednesday you didn't want to go home to your family annoying you with questions about her. it's also because if you go home you would see xavier more since your father was close friends with mr. thorpe it wouldn't help you because your cause was to ignore him to get rid of the feelings that you felt for him. yes, he's a nice guy, and yes he probably is worth the wait- you just didn't want any distractions, or so you would call him.
you couldn't shake the memory of the night where you visited xavier in prison. you were sure you were going insane, but after that meeting you pretty much avoided xavier.
truth be told, he really is a good guy. you just worry for him because wednesday treats him like shit and he still seems to chase her around. you also thought of his trust issues towards bianca, he definitely did not have a great childhood. you didn't want to do something wrong and he'd go along with it, you were scared of hurting him unintentionally.
but thus, the universe ignored your prayers and there he was, sitting at one of the picnic tables at the quad, waiting out the laze of the semestral break.
it was nighttime thankfully, more places to hide within the shadows, though you could move and travel in shadows, your figure ought to be seen, kind of like how peter pan has his own shadow.
you weren't so lucky that evening.
xavier lowers his sketchbook to his lap and stared at the cobbled wall that you were hiding in, the warm candlelight illuminating your shadow. you held your breath, did he see you? "y/n?"
you cursed mentally and walked out the walls, as if it was a portal.
"didn't know you stayed behind for sembreak." you muttered, approaching him. you couldn't walk away now. do you even want to?
xavier closed his sketchbook and placed it on the table along with his pencil. "my dad's busy anyways." he sighs, sadly. you almost felt bad. "well you know, i'm supposed to be going home now, they gave me an earful earlier this afternoon rambling on and on about addams and how she must be making her parents proud and bla bla bla" you told him with a laugh, he chuckled.
he kept giving you this look, as if he was waiting for something- expecting from the lazy poltergeist.
"i haven't been talking to you lately after you got bailed out. you okay?" xavier scoffed, "don't give me that. you were the one ignoring me, why should you ask." he muttered bitterly. you sighed through your nose, "because i'm your friend, thorpe. believe it or not." you told him stiffly, crossing your arms. xavier stood up, towering over you.
"you're one to talk about being friends, you just pop up in my life when i'm in doubt, whenever i'm feeling low. you're like my personal therapist." he told you and you chuckled sarcastically, "oh i'm sorry, for trying to cheer you up. should i stop? i gladly will." you slightly raise your voice and he notices this, he has never heard you yell before. "it doesn't feel like we're even friends anymore, y/n." he clarifies. you stare at him, raising a brow.
"we used to meet up at the art studio, copy off of each other's homework, literally skipping class together- you never talk to me anymore. it's like i don't exist unless you feel the need to comfort me, i'm not a child." xavier argues, you wanted to shove him and run away right now but you had to face him somehow. you swallowed harshly, trying to restrain yourself from saying something stupid, but you did.
"you're one to talk about my own flaws when you can't even see what's happening right in front of you." you shot back, breathing heavily, you felt provoked by him. xavier's face scrunched up in confusion, "what do you mean??" he demands.
"hello! i get that you're head over heels for wednesday, and by seeing how she treats you? you can't even fucking see that, xavier." you told him, practically yelling at him now. he was stunned, he always saw you- carefree, wild spirited and funny. now you were an angry grenade about to go off. "your daddy issues are fucking showing xavier. i just want you to feel i'll be right here whenever a certain someome treats you wrong. because frankly, for some reason i can't get enough of you." you went off, stammering between your words as you're not used to arguing someone so tall and intimidating. xavier scoffed, picking up his materials and walked away.
you scowled, in disbelief "you're seriously walking away?" you tested him, he didn't turn around, your heart falls to the pit of your stomach, a feeling you loathed. "i don't even know why i like you!" you yell after him and ran straight to the shadows.
Tumblr media
did he hear that right? xavier stopped in his tracks, looking behind him. you were gone. he didn't know why you said that, he didn't want to like wednesday, after that night- he knew it was you all along. you were there whenever wednesday wasn't, you were there when bianca couldn't make it. it was all you. he needed to find you. more or less in your dorm, that'd be creepy he thinks. whatever you said was the truth, he had issues. you were there to stick around and see how that unfold. you don't like racing, you didn't like pursuit, which is why xavier begins to theorize that you don't want to be some sort of an option to him. you just wanted to be there for him.
he didn't want to be a creep really, so he sat outside your door, sketching away into the night, hoping to catch you, sooner or later fell asleep.
you open the door, you couldn't sleep and figured might as well go do something. then you saw him. layed down on the floor, using his sketchbook as a pillow and his pencil right beside him. he looked ridiculous you could've laughed. he looked so at peace, lately its always been a sour face or a forced smile, now he's slightly drooling but at peace.
you knelt by him and traced your index finger on his nose, his cheekbones, his jaw, hearing him breathe gently caused you to feel more regret.
"y/n?" he slowly opens his eyes to see you, blinking twice to process what you were doing as you pulled back your hand so quickly. "you have a dorm, idiot. good night." you mumbled towards him, making him pout as you felt an arm reach out to you and a hand grasping yours, not letting you go. not this time.
"'m sorry." he hums softly, getting up as he's yet again tugging your sweater sleeve like a little boy, inviting you to sit next to him. so you did, he was only looking at you now, a look with dreadful longing. "i've loved you since forever. did you know that?" he told you, his words slurring due to being a little bit tired than usual. "i mean i did like bianca, but at first it was just for you to stop avoiding me." he huffs out, childishly frustrated, leaning his head against your shoulder. "don't talk about wednesday anymore, she was just another lookalike. you both dress the same, you used to braid my hair when we were kids- she reminded me of you." xavier whispers to your ear. "admit it, you were pretty dang attracted to wednesday too." you chuckled, thinking the same.
"i had a feeling you liked me back, i just thought you didn't want to be friends with me anymore." xavier muttered, you hum in thought. "hey please. talk to me, don't leave me hanging..." he huffs.
"prove it, that you like me." you told him, xavier gave you his sketchbook. "here."
you flutter through the pages, it was either you or your shadows, a drawing caught your eye though. it was when you were coming out of a wall, at the rave'n dance, wearing a flawless white suit, your hair styled in a different way. "want more proof?"
you looked at him as he was 3 inches closer to your face. "sure." xavier held your cheek and caressed it with his thumb, pressing your lips against his. finally, a moment you waited and loathed for.

Prompt - Jail
@jegulus-microfic December 13 Word count 831
Regulus walked into the police station to bail out his boyfriend, his idiot brother and his idiot brother's boyfriend out of jail.
The police officer behind the desk showed him where they were being held. Regulus could hear the snorts and barely contained laughter from the other members of staff in the office.
“They’re very lucky that they aren’t being charged.” The officer told him as they walked down the pale green corridor. “Not for lack of trying, I might add.” Evidently, this officer enjoyed hearing himself speak. “But while around £50,000 worth of damage was done, technically they didn’t physically do it.”
“They’re free to go then?” Regulus cut him off. Bored of listening to the endless drone.
“Yes. They need to fill out some paperwork before they leave though.” The officer replied curtly.
“Would it be possible for me to talk to them before you release them?” Regulus decided to play on the officer's obvious contempt for the three young men. “I feel like they could do to sweat it out a bit longer.”
“We don’t normally, but I’m sure we can make an exception.” They reached the end of the corridor and the officer swiped his I.D. card to let them through.
“Ask Evans over there when you’re ready to let them out. I’ll be at the front desk with the paperwork.” The officer pointed at the young guard with flaming red hair sitting behind a small desk next to the cells.
“Thank you, officer, er,” Regulus glanced at the police officer's name badge. “Snape. It’s been a pleasure.”
“Likewise.” Snape said before calling over to Evans, “Mr Black wants a word with the Harrods three before you let them out.” Then stormed off back to deal with the next member of the public.
Evans gave him a huge smile before letting him pass to the cell where the Harrods three resided.
“REGULUS!!! You came!” Sirius threw himself at the bars, reaching through them and trying to grab at his brother.
“What did you do?” Regulus glared, making sure Sirius couldn’t reach him.
“Don’t blame me,” Sirius cried, outraged. He pointed at James. “He started it.” Regulus turned his gaze to his boyfriend. James audibly gulped.
“There was only one at first.” He said, jaw trembling as he recounted the story. “It was cute and funny. But then there was a whole herd of them. And well, we panicked. We ran into the nearest store. It just happened to be Harrods. But they all followed me in there. How were we supposed to know they would cause so much damage?” James hung his head. Regulus still did not understand what had happened. He looked over at the only one who hadn’t yet spoken.
Remus sighed and sat up from the bench he’d been reclining on.
“Deer.” He said as a way of explanation.
“Expand,” Regulus told him. Remus smirked.
“One single deer came up to James, and he patted it and fed it some of the Chelsea bun he was eating.” Regulus nodded.
“Makes sense so far. What happened next?”
“Well, that one disappeared and came back with about 50 of its friends. James panicked and threw the rest of his bun at them, but they wouldn’t leave him alone. So we ran for it, and they just ran after him. We dove into Harrods, but so did they and then they trashed it. We only got away from them because we locked ourselves in the changing room. Then the police came and brought us here.” Remus revealed the rest of their story, doing a terrible job of hiding his love for the chaos they’d created.
“Only you could have something like this happen to them. Damn Disney Princess.” Regulus sighed heavily, chastising his boyfriend. “You’ll all be glad to know that they can’t actually charge you with anything. You are free to go.”
“Reggie, you absolute beauty!” Sirius, who had been uncharacteristically quiet, bounced up to the cell bars again, trying to get to his brother.
Regulus got Evans to open the door for them and led the way back to the front desk to fill out their paperwork for them, with the help of Remus.
James was keeping his distance from Regulus, putting Sirius between them both.
Finally free of the police station, Sirius was back to his usual self.
“Look on the bright side, guys,” Sirius said, throwing his arms around Remus and James’s shoulders. “We are officially badasses.”
Regulus went and extracted James from Sirius’s side. Giving him no option but to look at him.
Regulus, upon seeing that James was suffering from his guilt for doing something he thought had been a kindness, that turned into a farce. Took pity on him.
He brushed his lips against James's ear.
“Quite sexy having a jailbird for a boyfriend, you know.” He said wickedly before striding towards the car park leaving James and Sirius with their jaws dangling open and Remus snickering behind him.

⛧°。⋆༺♱༻⋆。°⛧ you make lovin' fun - l. mckinney / 4k
synopsis. after admiring julie from afar at a college party, leland lays off and enjoys the rest of the night. only he’s sitting in a room with that metalhead that intimidates him and ends up having a night that changes the trajectory of his love life.
tags. smut - MINORS DNI. gender neutral, metalhead!reader. no use of y/n. stoner!danny gaines. drug use (weed). mild alcohol use. smoking. black cat x golden retreiver energy. unrequited love. one night stand. oral (male receiving). friends with benefits ending. possible part two???
Leland did not want to come off as a creep by any means, but he didn’t want to pass his chances at talking to the girl of his dreams. Yet, Leland wasn’t the only one crushing on Julie Crawford. She was a magnet for men and women alike. Surrounded in admiration and love, her energy is addictive and radiating. She was the life of the party and dare anyone to have her all to themselves and ruin the vibes. Leland kept to the walls, admiring her from afar, asking the odd person about her in casual conversation. “She’s a total babe,” one girl said, Leland assuming in a platonic way. Her friends were her guardian angels, interfering with prying men and keeping the conversation light. Anytime a guy took his shot, Julie’s friends were by her side, changing their course to the beer keg or smoking outside. Anything to protect her, to gossip and giggle at the men who thought they stood a chance. And with that, Leland saved himself from embarrassment, sipping his beer and enjoying the company that he had.
Sonny bailed at midnight. He said something about having to study before lectures. Leland only nodded and hugged him goodbye; there was no stopping Sonny and his academic determination. That left Danny as the last guy friend, but Leland needed to figure out where he was or if he even was at the party. Maria invited him when he could since he wasn’t a student, and most people liked him around for his weed. Speaking of weed, maybe Leland should find him. He’s feeling up for it.
“You seen Danny?” Leland asked Maria, finding her in the backyard. An idle smile on her face, a blazing joint between her fingers. Oh yeah, he is here.
“Try upstairs. He said something about feeling cold and needing to lie down,” Maria said, quickly returning to her conversation. Leland headed forth, downing the rest of his beer and dumping the solo cup in a trash can, ready to motion into a different head space.
Leland cautiously tried every room upstairs, preparing to walk in on people having sex. He got lucky and entered the second room with a polite knock, welcomed by the overwhelming smell of incense—tapestries galore on the walls, carpets softening the ground. Whoever’s room this was, they made it into the perfect smoking room. Leland discovered Danny lying in pure bliss in the sea of blankets and pillows underneath bed veils—an amused smile on his face.
“Danny,” Leland cooed, concealing a laugh. “Dude, wake up.”
Danny opened his eyes halfway, and his face faded. His smile grew wider at the sight of Leland. “How ya doin’, man? Great party, I feel fucking amazing.”
“That’s good to hear,” Leland chuckled, “You got anything left?”
Leland thought it wasn’t possible, but Danny's smile grew larger, his hand digging into his jeans pocket. “You bet I do,”
Danny humfed his body upwards, shuffling to the end of the bed where a weed tray lay. Leland took his place next to him, trying to act casual. He is good friends with most of the gang but still feels the need to act older than he was, being the youngest. They never looked down on him, and it still amazes him he made friends with the seniors as a college freshman. If his mother knew about it, she’d have a canary fit.
While Danny was preparing a joint, Leland noticed the person in the corner of the room for the first time. Danny caught his staring, following his gaze, a jolt of fright taking over him.
“Damn you, are you still sitting there? Fuck, you can be real scary sometimes.”
There you were, in all your intimidating glory, two stubs of a joint in an ashtray, a book in your hand. Eyes are dark, heavy, and smokey with liner. Your dark clothes blend into the shadows of the dimly lit room.
“Someone had to look out for you in case you choked on your vomit,” you remarked stoically. Danny nodded at the reasonability, flattered by the protection.
“Why you not down with the rest of the party?” Leland mustered the courage to ask, prepared for your cold gaze. Out of all the group, you were the one Leland felt the most distance from. You were kind of a shut-off, aloof, kept to yourself. Connie insisted that you're an absolute sweetheart once someone gets to know you. Yet, you looked ready to bite his head off whenever Leland conversed with you.
“‘Cause they’re not playing ‘Sabbath, I bet,” Danny teased, rolling the joint in his fingers. “Did I ever tell you if you were in Cali, you’d live in Spahn Ranch?”
You narrowed your eyes, “Fuck you,” dropping the book you were browsing and pulling out a pack of cigarettes, “I think you forget it was hippies like you that did that fucked up shit,”
Danny grinned, “Yeah, and your lot are eating bat heads. My apologies.”
Leland thought an argument would break out until the sound of laughter soothed his worries. It was the first time Leland saw you smile, somewhat allured by it. He’d like to see you do it more often;  it was a pretty smile.
Leland tried not to stare at you too much while you smoked, your eyes scanning the two men. From Leland’s perspective, it looked like you were sizing them up, and he shuffled in his seat. You must have noticed this because a smirk grew on your face.
Danny finished his first joint and passed it along with a lighter to Leland. Leland thanked him, perking it between his lips. As he lit the end, he sucked in its flame, dropping the lighter and exhaling the smoke.
Time passed, and the night was slowing down, a muffled ambience as the room became another dimension from the party. Danny left at some point, probably back to Maria, so she didn’t start to worry, and you took your role as mediator for Leland, chilling in his hazy state. You were high, too, but all it did was relax you, its side effects not hitting you like a ton of bricks. You stick a record on the turntable, keeping the volume low, relighting a new incense stick and keeping an eye on Leland idle on the bean bag across from you, his eyes staring into space. A tug of a smile was visible on his face as he heard the hum of the music, motioning his hand to turn it up. You turned it one notch higher, amused at his state.
“This okay?” You ask. It was a song you can tolerate. Seeing Leland nod along with it was amusing enough, and you sat in the spare bean bag next to him.
With the proximity, Leland realised it was only the two of you together. He thought about Julie, wondering where she was and how she was enjoying her night. Then he looked at you. Instead of his heart sinking, it was beating faster.
“Connie was right about you,” Leland drawled, a smile on his face.
You frown, then scoff, surprised anyone is talking about you. Sure, Connie was your friend, an unexpected one at that. When you came to college, you expected not to make any friends. “Oh yeah? What’s Connie saying about me?”
Leland gathered his words together, his brain slower than usual. You watch the gears turn in his head, trying not to relish in it too much. There was something so endearing about him in this state. He looked less like a jerk, which was how you view any guy who peaked in high school. Leland was your run-of-the-mill popular guy, trying to continue his legacy in college and failing miserably. You knew he was a wrestler but dropped out before graduating, losing out on the scholarship and having to build from the ground up. His parents might have been pissed off about that, but there was something about it you admired. It showed hard work, determination, and ‘following your dreams’. It’s one of the first things you liked about him.
“Connie said… You’re a nice person once you get past the hard exterior,” Leland articulated, freezing when he saw your still face.
“Didn’t you think I was a nice person before?” You glared at him.
Leland began stumbling over his words, trying to defend himself. You burst into laughter. And there it was, that smile you showed before that stopped Leland in his tracks. It could win awards and make people faint and applaud. He couldn’t help but stare at you longer than he should.
“Well, right there is the evidence. You have a habit of… How should I say it? Pushing people away?” Leland pondered, “That sounds rude, sorry-”
You wanted to object, but he was right. It’s a habit of yours. You’re used to judgement and ridicule. It’s better to keep people at arm's length to avoid it. It saves all the hurt that comes with it. “Like usual, Connie is right. You have nothing to say sorry for,”
The look in your eyes told a thousand stories. Leland sensed this is something you feel to your core, a plague waiting to be lifted. How much could happen in one night? Is it enough to convince you you are deserving of admiration? Maybe it was the weed, but he had so much to give.
“Y’know, before tonight, I was like everyone else. I was so intimidated by you. Not only because I was scared of you but because you’re the coolest person in any room you enter. You defy everything, all the bullshit we have to conform to. I always assumed you don’t care what people think of you,” Leland argued.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes, not at Leland, but how the compliments he voices are the very problem why you can’t connect with people. You’re not the person they bring home to meet the parents. You’re not the person authority approves of. Assumptions about you are thrown towards you in every corner, and trying to dodge them gets tiring.
“That’s my problem, though. I am everything you said, but I care what people think about me. I just want someone to like me how I am,” your words almost turn into a whisper, the vulnerability making you feel out of place. You never expected to be like this with any guy, let alone Leland.
He looked at you momentarily, debating the move he was yearning to make. But was it the right thing to do? You began sheltering again, patronised by his puppy dog eyes. In a desperate moment, he reached for your hand, cupping it in yours. His thumb caressed your knuckles, and he felt your fingertips coil against his hand.
“Don’t,” you warned, yanking your hand out of his grasp. Leland furrowed his brows.
“Why?” Was Leland’s only question, his eyes refusing to leave your averting gaze.
“I’m not dumb, McKinney. You have no right to go all lover boy on me. You like Julie, and only Julie,” you made eye contact with him, your eyes cold and stern.
Leland looked at you as if to say, ‘How did you know that?’ and you sighed.
“Everyone knows, dumbass. You make it so obvious.”
Leland bowed his head, a blush creeping up his neck, and he rubbed the nape to soothe its burning sensation. Now he’s hyper-aware of his predicament, making you feel like a rebound or a second choice. Guilt washes over him, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. Maybe it’s the weed. I’m just not thinking straight.”
Your gaze softens, but you shrug your shoulders, and another sigh leaves your lips. “Have you ever tried getting over her? Like, fucking other people?”
Leland looked at you like you had two heads. “No, never. Flings are not my thing,” he said, shutting down the absurdity.
You couldn’t help but laugh, your smile down-turning. Leland melted at the sight of it once again. “You’re in college and looking for a future wife? Dude, this is the time to experiment! ‘Beats staring at Julie all night and feeling sorry for yourself. Let off some steam. You can like who you like but still have fun. She’s probably doing the same. In fact, I know Julie, she’s definitely doing the same,”
Leland was torn between relief and heartbreak at the information, the thought of her with another clawing at his feelings, but knowing if he takes your advice, he won’t be seen as different if the chance with Jules comes. He ignores his internal conflict and turns to you, “Is that what you do?”
You debate on answering that question, wanting to keep the information private. “Yes, I do. Sure, I have crushes, people I wanna be with. But I also don’t wanna follow them around like a lost puppy, especially when they don’t like me back.” Was that right? Did you make it too obvious? You looked at the very man you were talking about, reassured by his oblivious stare that had a hint of tenderness. You tried not to let it draw you in, your gaze darting away from Leland’s soft features—the warmth of his skin, the glint in his eye. If you were Julie, you’d take him in a heartbeat. You kept your face in its familiar stoic stance, but Leland saw a flicker of softness in your eye. Throughout the conversation, he noticed you were glaring at him less, as if you were warming up to him. He didn’t know what to think, so he moved on to his next question. “So… should I go out there and hook up with someone? See if it changes my mind?” Leland was hesitant, biting his lip in thought.
Your thoughts got the best of you, and so did Leland’s. Now, looking at each other was like looking directly at the sunlight. “Or you could just stay here… with me.”
Working you out made Leland feel he was reading a book in another language. He couldn’t help but scoff, shifting his body to face you directly, smirking. “A minute ago, you weren’t up for that idea.”
You rolled your eyes, admitting defeat but still sitting defiant. This back-and-forth was complicated but intriguing. “Well, now I’ve changed my mind. You need help getting over Julie, and I need to work on not pushing people away.”
Leland was questioning your intentions, wondering how sincere it was. His heart was racing, and he cursed his bodily reactions, biting his cheek in response to the blush on his face.
You rise from the bean bag, Leland’s eyes following you, craning his neck to look up at you. You stood over him, hands on either side of your hips. There was a seductiveness to the darkness looming over you. Leland shifts in his seat, his eyes lingering on your figure.
“Besides, we both need to loosen up in our own little ways. Maybe we can help each other,” you say, liking how Leland looked at you. You’ve wanted him to look at you like that for a long time—a stare mixed with longing and bashfulness. You had to admit, it was cute.
You gently steady your thighs on either side of Leland’s hips, placing yourself onto his lap, studying his face for any sign of rejection. You would adhere to his objections, but you manifested he only encouraged you. You wished for him to like you just as much as you like him. You weren’t ready to confess to him, so you suggested this predicament. It’s casual enough to come across as a one-off thing, with no feelings attached, but passionate enough to find pleasure in this unique twist of fate. Hooking up with him, at this moment, was the only chance you might get before he moved on to pursue Julie, so you felt like enjoying it while you could.
Leland rested his hands on your waist, reigning your body with his, glancing from your smokey eyes to your lips. He was surprised to feel the warmth he would typically protest in his core. Leland was honest when he said he wasn’t the type of guy to have one-night stands. All his sexual encounters involved someone he loved. He likes you, of course. He likes the way you look at him and how you make him feel. But love can’t happen overnight, surely not. He loved Julie the minute he laid eyes on her. With you, it feels . . .
Leland became distanced from his thoughts at the sensation of your lips meeting his, soft and passionate, ceiling the tension between you into a physical reality. Your hands brush the hairs on his neck, cupping his soft skin and sending goosebumps down his spine with your cold touch. Leland instinctively wraps his arms around you, his hand snaking up your back underneath your shirt and onto your bare skin. You gasp between his lips. Your eyes flicker open momentarily. The passionate stare in your gaze ignites a fire in him, his breath heavy in the hot air.
Leland’s butterflies crescendo in his stomach as you motion lower and lower down his body. Trailing kisses down his neck, his breath hitching at the odd nip of his skin between your teeth. You peer up at him teasingly, and Leland anticipates your steps. You seemed like the type to be unpredictable, and Leland’s body tenses under yours, making you slow down and unbutton his shirt, leaving soft kisses.
“Don’t worry, I can be gentle,” You reassured, relaxing your coiled smile and giving a genuine look of understanding. “You don’t have to be scared of me,”
“You don’t have any… weird fetishes, do you?” Leland asked, just in case.
You couldn’t help but laugh, sliding his shirt open and exposing his abdomen, trying your hardest not to freak out at the sight of his lean muscles. Your fingers trace his snail trail, your eyes catching the presence of his bare chest. It was rare nowadays to see a well-groomed man. And consistently, Leland defies your expectations. “Maybe I do, maybe I don’t. I’ll keep it light, just for you.” You tease.
“Yeah, I’d like that. This is nice,” Leland chuckled, relieved of his worries.
You continue to unbuckle the belt on his jeans, unbuttoning loose enough to tug his bottoms down his legs. You hooked your fingers over his boxers along with it, anticipating the reveal. Leland helped you with his jeans, lifting his hips to run them down. His hard dick springs into place, resting below his stomach, the tip inches away from his belly button. His length kindles a look of mischief in your eyes, and Leland notices it when he looks for your reaction.
“You’re full of surprises, McKinney.” You purr.
“Really?”
“Oh, stop humbling yourself,” you tut, relishing in his awe as you trailed your fingers down his shaft, wrapping your digits around his girth. Warming him up, you teased the tip with your tongue, arousing Leland with your alluring stare. He brushed your hair from your face, caressing his fingers along your jawline, eyes lulling at the breathtaking sight of you.
You took him pretty well, taking Leland aback, the sensation tensing his muscles. With the afterthought of weed, and the feeling of your slick, warm mouth engulfing his cock, it stirred a sense so blissful he grew lightheaded. Leland moaned your name, his tone so gentle and appreciative. His hands caressed your head, motioning with your steady pace, his fingers tightening in your locks when your tongue massaged his shaft. Every shift of his body was a thanks for the pleasure you gave him. And as your mouth adjusted to his length, you buried his cock deeper inside, gag nonexistent as his tip touched the back of your throat, your spit coating your plumped lips.
“Holy fucking shit,” Leland cursed, his whines heavy. “That feels amazing.”
He began to buck his lips, unable to help himself, addicted to the feeling of your mouth, completely enamoured. You allowed his eagerness, surprised at his gentle strokes, your moans muffled. Your jaw grew stiff, and you squeezed your eyes shut, but Leland was reading your mind, pulling out for you to gather air. You gasped, your head lightheaded, drunk on his precum, pooling on the base of your tongue. Like clockwork, you stuffed him back into your mouth, fully committed. Hollowing your cheeks, swirling your tongue, drawing his dick with your lips, from base to tip. It was driving Leland insane.
“Fuck, don’t stop,” he pleaded, “feels s’ good.”
Swelling with pride, you picked up the pace, breathing steadily through your nose. Pinning Leland’s thighs deeper into the bean bug, the crush of the fabric overshadowed by the gentle moans whispering from Leland’s lips, fighting the urge to ejaculate, the knot in his stomach swelling and ready to release.
“I think I’m gonna . . .” His face is scarlet. You rest a steady hand on his solid abdomen, the glisten of sweat collecting under your nails that dug into his skin. The pattern of his abs turning your brain to mush, heat collecting at your crotch at the act of pleasuring such a pretty, handsome boy. You gaze up at him under your lashes, succumbing to his brows furrowed together, his mouth agape, pulling such a cute face. Fuck, he was perfect.
Your quick pace soon brought Leland to a close, instinctively pushing your head down his length, coating your throat with his hot seed. He cursed under his breath at the overwhelming pleasure. He rutted out his high, loosening the grip on your hair.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be so rough,” Leland chuckled nervously, hoping he didn’t piss you off.
You greeted him with a sly stare, tasting him on your tongue, swallowing his cum with one swift gulp, licking your lips clean. Leland pulled his jeans back on before helping you to your feet. You struggled to stand with your stiff knees, feeling Leland’s arms snake around your waist to keep you steady.
“How’d you like that then, lover boy?” You hesitantly ask, half expecting the post-nut clarity to hit him.
Leland thought for a moment, “I mean . . .” He chuckled, “Words can’t describe it.”
He still looked at you the same as before, if not more intensely. His grip on you never loosened. He cupped your face, brushing his thumb along your cheekbone, and you almost gave in to him.
“What about you? Don’t you think you deserve some love?” Leland airly said, a gentle smile on his face. He didn’t want the night to end.
“I think that’s enough for today,” You chuckle, pulling out of his embrace. You try to ignore the smile fading from his face, replaced with those sad puppy eyes that weaken you.
“C’mon, now I feel like a jerk,” Leland whined, walking after you, trying to block you from the door. “At least tell me the next time I’ll see you.”
“Oh, there’s gonna be a next time?” You cock your eyebrow. “What happened to just having a fling?”
“I told you that’s not my thing,” Leland teased, trying to contain his smile. You balance the smirk growing on your face by narrowing your eyes. “Let’s say next Friday? You free?”
It came as a surprise seeing him put in the effort. Most guys just finish and bail. You started to question if you bit off more than you could chew. He’ll bail once he has his chance with Julie. Or maybe his heart has turned in another direction. Heading straight towards you, gazing at you with those eyes you get lost in. No… You must keep your guard up, not get your hopes up.
“See you next week, lover boy. But don’t get all romantic with me, ok? Or I’ll puke on you.” You established, swinging the door open and swaggering out of the room, acting as casual as possible for passersby. Leland lingers by the doorframe, grinning from ear to ear.
“Great! It’s a date! See ya then!”
You roll your eyes with a flattered smile, wondering what you have gotten into. Becoming friends with benefits with your crush wasn’t on your 1972 bingo card.

❧ decorating cupakes w/ Tsukasa!
Mango *ੈ✩‧₊˚ AKA MODTSUKASA HERE :33 ☆
This is my first writing thingy on here so enjoy please! I apologize for the shortness^^
┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. 。˚ °
Tumblr media
☆ Prompt  // Decorating Cupcakes !^
₊˚⊹♡ SUMMARY ♡⊹˚₊
Tsukasa baked cupcakes but Nene had to bail at the last minute, so he called his friend! (Gender Neutral reader; written platonic but can be seen as romantic)
┊ ┊⋆ ┊ .┊ ┊⋆ ┊ .┊ ┊⋆ ┊ .┊⋆ ┊ ┊
You’re walking peacefully in the neighborhood, humming a small tune under your breath. You were currently walking to your friend's house, Tsukasa.
He’d given you a call around 15 minutes ago about how he needed help decorating some cupcakes for an event or something like that. That’s what you got from him and his short spew on call.
You walk up to his door, but before you could even attempt to knock, the door flew open, showing off the happy go lucky spirit, Tsukasa. "Here you are my wonderful assistant! Just on time too!”
You wave with a smile. “You asked me too, so I couldn’t leave you hanging.”
“Thank you!” He nodded with contentment and waved you inside, closing the door after you entered. “I baked strawberry cupcakes, but Nene had to cancel for a last-minute event!” He sighed with disappointment but it was quickly changed to excitement. “Welcome to the original start of my dazzling career!”
“I'm glad I have the privilege of being in such estate.” You hum with bliss, following Tsukasa to the kitchen.
You pause in the doorway, feeling an intense dread for the project. The first thing seen was what seemed to be over 100 cupcakes on the kitchen island?! ‘No wonder why Nene bailed!’
“It seems a lot my remarkable assistant! But if you help me- a future and bright star- you can take some home of these delicious cupcakes once we finish the mission!” He grins as he runs to the fridge to grab the icing. It seemed to be pre-bagged white frosting… He must have done it last night or something.
He passed you a few and you set up on the island. “As long as I get some cupcakes at the end, sure.” You look back at the cupcakes with a newfound determination.
Tsukasa grinned brightly as he cut the tip of the icing bag with scissors. “Let’s get icing then!”
 //////
Wrist cramping, you fell into a chair and sighed loudly. “My wrist hurts now.”
“You only did 20! I was even able to get more done!”
“20 is a lot of cupcakes!” Your eyes dart your attention to Tsukasa’s pile of cupcakes, all perfectly made with a bit of sprinkle on top. “How are yours so pretty?!”
He shrugged as he bit his lip, frosting another cupcake. “I used to make gleaming cupcakes with my mom in the past when she was free.”
You hummed softly, showing signs that you were listening to the blonde.
“I can't recall doing it much though, maybe twice in total. I was always practicing my singing so it would became as amazing as it is today!” He said with pride, his eyes looking up, full of deterination.
“Well,” You grinned, standing up again, and grabbing another cupcake and the icing. “I’m so ready to beat you and make more.”
“I already have the head-start.” He said with a huge smile, already frosting more as he spoke.
You playfully stick your tongue out at him and begin icing cupcakes.
 //////
You sighed as you plopped back onto the seat, wiping your bangs back with your wrist slightly covered in frosting. “Finally! We finished!”
“And I won!” He loudly exclaimed, placing the icing bag on the table.
A playful annoyed look slowly crept onto your face but faded quickly. “That's because you had a big advantage.”
Tsukasa smiled but sighed and sat down too on a nearby chair. “That wasn’t that bad though. A star must always be ready for future changes in schedule or difficulties!” Tsukasa said with his hand over his chest in a cocky, yet sweet way.
You smiled at his charisma and nodded. “Yeah!”
Tsukasa looked at the cupcakes closely before settling on one. He grabbed a cute-looking cupcake with pink, crystal sprinkles and passed it to you. “Here! My gift of gratitude from me to you!”
You took it without hesitation- craving this moment since he told you you could eat a few at the end.
You felt a sweetness in the cupcake, the icing overpowering the strawberry-flavored batter, but it still left a small hint of strawberry. “What did you put in the icing?” You asked as you covered your mouth with your hand.
“Sugar, vanilla… The basics. Does it taste funny?” He asked with a tone of dread.
“No no!” You say while waving your hand. “Quite the opposite actually. It tastes so good! Who knew you were such a good baker?”
“HA! As I say! A star is a star at everything! Acting isn't the only thing I’m good at!”
You snort at him, turning away as he looks at you. “And I’m so funny too!”
“You wish!”

Below Zion: Rethinking Valentino
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to show you how we've been rewriting Valentino. As stated in my previous blogs, the characters are given different feels to make them as distinct from their show counterparts as possible so that eventually this can be its own thing. While still inhabiting the pimp lord aspects, Valentinos way of thinking, motivations and even what he does in his past-time should change how this character works and why I grew a fascination in writing about his character recently. Make no mistake, he is a villain and funnily enough, a stark contrast to Charlies ideas.
Tumblr media
"Oh, the sex work is great! Tino is garbage. See, I haven't left the industry. I just ran from that self-rightous prick…" - Hip-Lash, one of Angels best friends, left the 'industry'. Hasn't seen Angel for 30 years. To understand where Valentino comes from and why he is the kind of person he is, some context is needed. In Below Zion, sinners are completely incapable of making pacts with other people. Their power instead depends on how sinful they were in life. If you sinned too much, you get thrown into Penance Machines, where you are excessively tortured and bleed out all that sinful energy for runes! Runes pass off as currency in Hell. But if you were not a cannibal serial child killer, you get to enjoy some amazing powers! Or if you got bailed out of these machines through some higher power. While nothing too crazy like what Alastor might be capable of, these sinners are still very powerful with the Wrath they possess. Valentino is no exception. His hazbin is an interesting case of a person hiding the true degeneracy that they possess deep within them. See, Valentino, known before as Mikhail "Milo" Tarentino, was a yoga teacher, originating from India! The guy, not really enjoying his position in India due to the fact that yoga was already quite popular there, decided to move to Italy where yoga wasn't as prevalent! Tarentino was a social butterfly, able to get many contacts and many students into his class! However, his true debauchery also began here. He would often have sexual intercourse with his own students, coercing them, grooming them and eventually fucking them! It does not help the matters that most of these women were married.
"Oh goodness, I did not expect to have a new neighbour! Welcome! I actually remember you, you know? You agreed to collect dirty things for Butcher Pete." Sledge nods. "So I did." "Gross job. Glad they had rubber gloves my size." He says, raising a paw, and wiggling his pudgy fingers… It reminds Alastor a little of one of those asian lucky-cats… cute. "Why ya callin' him 'Butcher Pete'?"
"Oh! No reason! There is just a very catchy song that I wish I NEVER paid any attention to the lyrics of!"
He says as he spins his microphone!
"Would you like to give it a listen? It reminds me of the kind of sinners that I find often here in Lust…" "Sure."
From Als staff - a combination of magical and technological - comes out a very upbeat tune! "Hey everybody, did the news get around? About a guy named Butcher Pete! Oh, Pete just flew into this town, And he's choppin' up all the women's meat!
He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that meat!"
And also... this.
"Yeah, I see your point there, Al... but I got a question for ya~" He says with a sinister grin~
"Very well, i shall bite! Shoot!" "Say, have you ever had a pump and dump at a family reunion~?"
"[Oh no...]" The T.V Demon grows... concerned for what is about to be retold.
Velvette begins to giggle maniacally!
"I know Some of those words! Likely Not in the context You Want them to be in, though!"
"Then you do know the context I am referring to~ Don't worry Al, I am not talking about ones own family reunion, obviously, but somebody else's."
"You Are talking about FILTH then. No Val, i have done Nothing of the likes!"
"Oh come on, never had the fun? I had this one where I was invited to one of my students', I was a yoga teacher back in the day, you see? Anyhow, I eventually found myself banging different women. See, because they are all related, they had like, slightly different mommy boxes, but I was test driving 'em, right? Seeing how evolution has shaped each one a little differently so that you can find one that's just right?"
[No, Val stop, Al is already-]
"I call this goldilocksing~"
"And this relates to hunting... hoooow...?" Velvette seems perplexed...
Val thinks for a moment...
"I forgot what I was getting at, my bad~" He says as he takes a puff from his cigarette.
Al... looks grossed out. He thinks about this... And shivers in mild disgust again, a few moments after the first time.
As you can see here, Valentino kept his "trade" a secret in his human life, but he was also very good with it. Being able to get around fucking the entire female half of a family. Living in Italy though, he envied the mafia families that always seemed to be able to get what they wanted. More so because one day, one of those families caught Tino and his disgusting tendencies and... lets just say that he was never found on Earth again.
This eventually landed him in Hell. While he did sin quite excessively, it did not compare to the likes of Velvette, Alastor, Eve, Angel Dust or Agatha. However, he did gain one very prominent power from this... The red mist. The mist he puffs out whenever he smokes, the stench that leaves his body, the morphine that binds people to him like soul contracts!
Its an addictive substanance. Some people even describe it as off-puttingly as possible by saying that its his "musk". Valentino, while possessing not a terrifying amount of strength compred to some other powerful sinners out there, he possesses an ability that can dominate each one of them without trouble.
One such case being Angel Dust.
See, Angel, being the son of a ruthless mafia boss, when arrived in Hell, he wanted to become famous and wealthy immidietly! Get rich quick without much work! Well, with work he loves to do~
This is where Valentino steps into his life, offering him such opportunities while... making sure Angel inhales his mist as much as possible. Keep him addicted, don't let him get away~
Valentino is especially abusive towards Angel both sexually and physically. However, this stems not from his actual love for Angel Dust, but his hate.
Valentino, ever since he arrived in Hell, has gained a sick fascination towards punishing the sinners that think they are hot shit.
"He has a… self-rightous attitude lets say. If he thinks you had it too good and don't appriciate the stuff you have… he'll get ideas~" -Velvette
Valentino is the essence of Hell. He punishes the winners of hazbin, not the losers. Seeing Angel Dust, being this mafiaso that loved and CRAVED sex in every opportunity and got what he wanted without ever thinking about the implications, gives Valentino this certain feeling of moral superiority. He feels like a punisher, a true demon of Hell that is there to become Angels worst nightmare for all the horrible things he has done in his life.
It gets better due to the fact that Valentino knows he is weaker than Angel, yet due to his addictions, he wins over him. Its not some pact that binds Angel, its his own Lust... and Sloth. His desire for easy success and wealth led him to this disgusting mess.
When Charlie rolls around with the idea of redemption, of course he hates it. To him, punishment is well deserved and bad boys like Angel need to be made an example of.
This also presents the reader with an interesting question. Does Angel deserve what Val does to him considering that he was CERTAINLY not a good person in his own hazbin? Or does he deserve redemption? This is literally Charlies ideology, being asked to the viewer. Should the sinner be punished or redeemed? Angel was a despicable human being that murdered, tortured, raped and was bound to many external substances. Does he deserve punishment in the hands of Valentino? Or does he deserve redemption in the hands of Charlie?
Valentino is also not just doing this to Angel. This goes for ANYONE he thinks they had it too good for too long...
Welp, that was all! Valentino is an asshole pervert fueled by hatred!
Please do write feedback, I'd love to hear your ideas if you think of any!

Bucky Barnes x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was stupid, God it was the most ridiculous idea you'd ever had but it was your only chance.
You ran along the streets when your eyes caught two policemen standing outside a store.
"I'm going to get killed..." You muttered before you ran at him and tackled him to the ground before quickly jumping up.
"I'm gonna kill everyone here!" You screamed as the cop quickly and easily took you down and handcuffed you.
"Fucking psycho bitch." He muttered, making you stand up as they dragged you towards the cop car.
"I was just trying to get a coffee, goddamn." The other muttered as you sat in the back seat and sighed, glad you didn't have a bullet in your head.
"I'm tired of these fucking drug addicts." One of them grumbled as you sighed and rested your head against the seat.
--
You sat in a cell as you waited.
Suddenly you heard a noise and looked up to see a familiar face standing with an officer.
"Bucky!" You shouted in relief as you ran up to the door and looked at him.
The officer let you out and you ran to Bucky, hugging him tightly.
"You're lucky you've got rich friends." The officer mumbled before walking away.
Bucky awkwardly hugged you back before he pushed you away so he could see you.
"Y/N, what the hell? It's been three years and suddenly I get a call that you assaulted a police officer." He scolded as you looked at him with tears in your eyes.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Bucky. I just couldn't think of anything else to do." You whispered as you began to cry.
Bucky looked at you better and noticed bruising all over you.
"Y/N, what the hell is going on?" He asked as you cried softly and held onto his hand.
"Can we just get out of here, please?" You whispered as he sighed.
"Okay, come on. We'll go somewhere and talk." He replied as you signed out of the police station and followed Bucky out to a car he had parked outside.
You got in the passenger seat and sighed, he started up the car and began to drive.
"Talk, Y/N. Because three years ago you left with no explanation, I tried to contact you, to find you, anything but I couldn't. You don't just leave someone like that, I care about you." Bucky scolded you as you turned your head to look at him.
"I know... I never ever wanted to leave." You replied as he sighed and kept his eyes on the road.
"If you didn't want to leave then why did you?" He asked as you turned back to stare at the road ahead.
"You remember Jay?" You muttered as Bucky glanced at you for a moment.
"Yeah, your boyfriend." He replied as you tried your best to not cry.
"He didn't let me see you... At first he was sweet and kind and he took care of me... But, it turned around so fast. He started hitting me and being paranoid if I left... Eventually he smashed my phone and locked me in the apartment, making sure I never left. " You whispered as Bucky stared at you for a moment before quickly realising he was still driving a car on a main road.
"Jesus, Y/N. I should've...I could've saved you." He muttered as you turned to look at him again.
"I was finally able to break out of the apartment when he was out. I didn't have money for a bus or train or anything. I didn't have a phone and I knew he would be after me very soon. So, I saw a policeman and attacked him. Knowing I could call you to bail me out." You said making Bucky sigh.
"Y/N, they could've shot you dead right there." He scolded as you chuckled a little.
"I wouldn't have minded." You muttered, looking away.
"It doesn't matter, I've got you now. That's what matters." Bucky whispered as he turned to you when he stopped at a red light.
You looked at him as well and smiled a little.
"So, you're not angry with me?" You whispered as Bucky reached over and gently placed his hand on your thigh.
"Doll, I could never be angry with you. Let's get you somewhere safe, okay?"

Beskar Doll - Ch. 12: Reunion
It's been years, but the Mandalorian would know you anywhere. A continuation of Beskar Doll Ch. 1-11 found on Tumblr here.
Tumblr media
Pairing: The Mandalorian/Din Djarin x Female Reader
Warnings: Mention of DV, mention of attempted SA. No use of Y/N. Minors DNI 18+
Length: 5k
9 ABY - Present Day
Din managed to stay away from you for three months.
He let his work swallow him up, taking every puck offered to him. No price was too low, any job that would keep him from realizing how empty his ship was without you in it was worth doing. He kept thinking it would get easier. He hadn’t been with you all that long, after all. You’d barely been friends, not really. But you were always there, some biting comment or teasing smile or kind touch suddenly acutely absent.
Time, he thought, would fix it. Time and hunting every bounty he could get his hands on.
It didn’t work.
So it was only three months before he found himself back on Dantooine, going back to the coordinates you’d given him, landing outside your family’s home before being greeted by the kind but confused face of the woman who lived there.
She invited him in, gave him her name - Aidla - offered him a drink and food but he turned her down.
“So,” she said, pleasantries out of the way. “Can I ask what brings you by?”
“I was… in the area,” he said, trying find a way to ask what he wanted to ask. “I thought I would see how Liska was doing. Is she here?”
Aidla smiled sadly, a knowing look in her eye. He was reminded of you for what had to be the 20th time that day.
“I’m sorry but no, she’s not,” she leaned forward, putting her hand on his arm. “She’s married now, living on the other side of the planet.”
Din froze. He could hear the blood pounding in his ears. Married. You couldn’t be married. He’d seen you just months ago - he’d touched you, felt you come apart in his arms just months ago. You’d never mentioned anyone, you couldn’t be married…
“It was arranged,” she gave his arm a gentle pat before she sat back in her seat. “It will help her blend in. But he’s a good man, they have a home in the country. It’s a simple, quiet life but…”
He nodded slowly. Part of him wanted to find you. He could, if he tried. It wouldn’t even take him long, he could be at your door in a day - maybe just hours if he got lucky.
But that would be selfish. The night before the fight in Bisneth, you’d told Keci you wanted something simple, quiet. You wanted peace. What was he going to offer you? A life of hunting bail jumpers through the galaxy? A place where you’d be shot and hurt and need to resort to the skills you resented so deeply? All because he missed touching you, missed watching how your brilliant mind worked? No. He wasn’t going to take this from you.
“She cared for you, I think,” Aidla said after a moment. She looked down at the cup of tea in her hands. “I’d never met her before you brought her here but… there’s a lot of her mother in her. I think she cared for you very deeply.”
Din was silent, digging his fingers into his gloved palm.
“I can tell her you came by,” she said eventually.
“Don’t,” he said quickly. “I don’t want to disrupt her life here. I just wanted to know… how she was.”
He started visiting Aidla and her husband, Tam, every few months. Each time he was hoping you might be there, visiting, while also hoping he wouldn’t see you so he wouldn’t have to explain himself. You were never there. But she told him that you were doing well. Tam saw you every few months when he met with your husband for trading. He usually came home with a letter, which Aidla shared with Din. You wrote about walking the countryside, asked for recipes your mother used to make you as a girl, criticized recent moves by the New Republic. He could almost see your face, hear your voice as he read your words. None of it seemed to ease the ache and longing inside him.
More than two years after he’d left you on Dantooine, he landed at Aidla’s but found the place abandoned. It was clear no one had been there in more than two months, their fields overgrown and thick layers of dust clinging to the tea set Aidla always took down when she offered him the tea that he always politely refused.
He went see their neighbors and asked after them, but it was only bad news. Aidla and Tam had both died - a speeder accident in Dantoo Town.
Din trudged back to the Razor Crest and sat there, staring straight ahead, until the sun set and he realized he’d just been looking into nothing. He’d grown to like Aidla and Tam, Aidla in particular. She was the last, tenuous link he had to you. Now you were really, truly gone. He seriously considered, one last time, tracking you. But he pictured you, happy in your peaceful and quiet life, and got ready to leave Dantooine for the last time.
Before he left, he went inside their home and found your letters, bringing them aboard his ship. Once he’d jumped to the next destination, he pulled off his gloves and removed his helmet, holding the pages you’d once held, reading words you’d written without a mask between you.
It seemed you haunted him even more after that. He’d catch a glimpse of you out of the corner of his eye in crowded markets, hear some reflection of you when someone near him said something equally infuriating and insightful. It was as though his loose connection with you had kept you at bay and without it, the lack of you was going to drown him.
When he took the bounty for the child, the only reason he’d stayed in a room filled with Imps is that he thought, for a moment, the bounty would be you. If he had a reason to track you, that would be different. He’d have to find you then, protect you or at least warn you. Instead, it was the kid.
He knew you’d have never left the child with Imperials. It made him sick that he had, even for a bit. If you’d been there, you’d have taken off with him immediately. Maker, by now, you’d have probably figured out some language to speak with him, established a clear line of communications and a deep understanding with the little guy.
So when he and the child were lying low on Garqi, he wasn’t surprised when a Naboo blaster caught his eye as he passed a weapons resale stand. He stopped for a moment, looking at it. He remembered you pressing one just like it into his chest the day he’d left you behind.
“How much?” He asked the man working the stand.
“Haven’t had a chance to price it yet,” he said, hardly glancing at the weapon. “Just bought it off a girl this morning but I got a deal on it. I’ll let it go for 750.”
“This morning?” Din asked, pulling out the credits without bothering to barter. He handed them over and the man handed him the weapon.
“Aye,” he nodded once. “She was impatient, that one. Seemed ready to be on her way.”
“Do you know where I could find her?” He asked. The man behind the counter frowned at him. “I just have an interest in pieces from Naboo. I’d want to buy more, if she has it.”
“She didn’t look like she was from around here,” he shrugged after a moment, going back to cleaning a blaster. “Looked like she’d gotten into it with some folks she shouldn’t have, too, she was banged up. The cheapest beds are only a few clicks east, across from the brothel. She’d likely be there.”
The Child cooed at Din’s hip. He gave the man a stiff nod and started off, sweeping the crowds, looking for you everywhere he passed.
It was unlikely that it was you, he told himself. You were on Dantooine. You were married. You weren’t on your own, trying to navigate this Maker-foresaken galaxy with no one. It wouldn’t be you. So he wasn’t prepared when he caught sight of you, lugging a box outside a building and putting it with the trash. Your hair was shorter and you were thinner but it was you.
He walked toward you like he was hypnotized. You didn’t look anywhere but the ground as you went back inside, you didn’t see him coming. When he made it in the door, the building was dim, barely clothed women strolling through the room. He frowned. What were you doing here?
“A Mandalorian,” a woman said, slinking up and draping herself over Din’s chest. “Not often we get one of your kind.”
“I’m looking for someone,” he said, looking down at her. “The woman who was just outside, where is she?”
“Kelda?” She asked. Din had never heard the name, but nodded. The woman frowned. “I don’t have her working the floor, I’m sure there’s something I can interest you in…”
“I’d like to speak with her,” he replied. She glanced around before leaning into his ear.
“Look, I can take you to the back but I don’t want her on the floor until her face is healed,” she said. “It bothers the clients.”
“I’ll pay,” he said, pulling out some credits. With that, she smiled, taking him by the hand and leading him through the bar. The Child shifted in the bag and Din tucked him down, covering his head with the flap. No need for him to see all this quite yet.
The back was more brightly lit and even from behind, he recognized you.
“Kelda,” the woman said. “Someone requested you.”
“What?” He could hear the frown in your voice. It was such a familiar sound, even three years later. You turned to face him and froze, staring at him, your eyes wide.
You looked different now, especially up close. Your hair was in a single braid that hung barely past your shoulders, the toned muscle from the training you’d done for years gone. Your face was almost gaunt and the remains of bruises were still there, yellowing, and there was a still healing cut on your cheek. He forced his hands to stay at his sides and not reach for you.
“Didn’t know you knew a Mandalorian,” the woman said, looking at you with suspicion. Your eyes narrowed.
“I don’t,” you replied, turning back to your work. “Never seen the man before in my life.”
“Well, he paid for your time,” she shrugged. “Take care of him and then you can go.”
You sighed but kept your back to him. The woman left and your fingers drummed the countertop in front of you.
“So, what?” You asked, still facing the wall. You picked up something on the table and started cleaning it. “You have a thing for the help now? There’s a whole room of girls actually on the menu, you know, go bother one of them.”
Din ignored your hostilities but kept his distance.
“What are you doing here?” He asked
“You’re in my sector,” you snapped. “We’re just a stone’s throw from Dantooine. What are you doing here?”
“Why aren’t you on Dantooine?” He asked, moving closer. He couldn’t help it, you were right there.
You flung the thing you were cleaning onto the counter, forcefully, and spun to face him.
“I don’t know, Din,” you looked up at him, your eyes finding his immediately. A skill you hadn’t lost. The flesh around your eyes was discolored, healing. “What do you think? Take your best guess.”
“Someone hurt you,” he said. He balled his hands into tight fists to keep from trying to touch you.
“Good on you,” you pushed off the counter behind you, grabbing the piece you were cleaning - some bar tool, he guessed - and took it to a shelf to put it away. “Are we done here? Get your money’s worth?”
“Can we go somewhere?” He asked, keeping his voice gentle. He still couldn’t believe that you were standing there, in front of him. Fully formed, not hints of you he imagined in every corner of the universe. “I’d like to talk with you.”
“I’d rather not,” you replied.
“Please,” he said. There was pleading and desperation in his voice. He didn’t care about hiding it.
“Why do you care?” You asked, exasperated and tired. His head tilted, examining you. Did you really think he didn’t care?
“I just do,” he said eventually. “Please. Let’s talk.”
You crossed your arms, looking him up and down, before you sighed.
“Fine,” you said. “There’s a cafe, four doors down from here. Tea’s decent. I’ll meet you there in an hour.”
“Thank you,” he said, watching you. Your sharpened edges seemed softer as you looked back at him. It was like you were fighting to still hate him.
He turned and left, making sure the kid was still tucked away in his bag, before heading to the cafe.
There was a secluded booth in the corner and he took it, hoping it would be quiet enough that you felt free to talk. The child was getting fidgety, so he took him out of the bag and ordered him a bone broth from the waitress who was happily fawning over his long ears and large eyes.
When the waitress got called away - after bringing two refills of bone broth - Din tucked the kid into the booth beside him, wanting to avoid drawing attention, and watched the door. You arrived sooner than he’d expected, giving the waitress a soft smile and a nod before finding his table. It was hard to stay seated. He wanted to stand up, touch you, pull you against him. Instead, you sat across from him, crossing your arms as you sat back in the booth, examining him.
“So,” you said eventually, eyebrows raised. “I’m here. What do you want?”
***
It’s not like you’d picked Garqi to be safe. You hadn’t actually picked Garqi at all, not really. It was the only place you could reach with the handful of credits you’d been able to access on your way out of your house, your husband unconscious and bleeding on the floor. You didn’t have time to pack, you just grabbed the data pad with the last of your life from Naboo - the pictures, the songs, the only things that remained of your family - your knife and the credits you could get to before stealing the speeder and running.
No, Garqi hadn’t been a strategy. But it was so remote, you thought the chances of running into anyone you knew here was slim. You hadn’t expected to see the Mandalorian show up at the bar where you’d managed to beg your way into a job. The pay was barely enough to keep you afloat, a cheap bed at the inn across the way and a meal every other day so you could try to salt enough credits away to get a ticket to a midrim world. You needed distance between yourself and Dantooine, the sooner the better. After selling the blaster, you had almost enough to buy the credentials you’d need to get off world. But now, Din was here.
Din, the man who’d all but haunted you for years. Every flash of metal, every modulated voice made you think of him. So did holochess boards and whiskey and the sound of blaster fire and the feeling you got when you climbed a tree to get closer to the sky. He was fucking everywhere all the damned time. Except now he was really here, looking at you from across a table. His eyes were ranging over you, you could feel them as they ran up your waist, arms, neck, face. You tried to resist the urge to hide your still healing face - bacta was definitely a luxury you couldn’t afford - and just let him look like you weren’t ashamed of it.
“Well?” You raised your eyebrows, making your damaged skin pull uncomfortably.
Before he had a chance to respond, a small, green hand appeared at the edge of the table. You frowned as a tiny, green creature with overwhelmingly large eyes and ears pulled itself onto the table. Din sighed.
“Who’s this?” You asked, leaning forward, face and voice softening. The creature reached for you before toddling forward, its clawed hand outstretched.
“Kid,” Din sighed, picking him up at the waist and pulling him into his lap. “We’re trying to have a conversation.”
The creature cooed, looking up at Din. You cocked your head, looking at him. You’d never seen anything quite like it. When his dark eyes met yours, there was a twinge of curiosity in you. But it was… odd. The feeling wasn’t your own. It was coming from the tiny thing in the Mandalorian’s lap.
“Oh, let him play,” Shura, the waitress, said, bringing you a cup of tea. “He’s not hurting anyone by being on the table top. Does he need more bone broth?”
“Sure,” Din said, sighing as he set the creature on the table. It smiled at him before looking back at you, a spark of happiness reaching you this time. Shura cooed at him before leaving the table again.
“Hi there,” you smiled at the creature, even though it still hurt your cheeks. He toddled for you, curious again, his hand out stretched. He touched your face, smiling as he explored your skin. You leaned forward and he grabbed your hair, giving it a firm tug. Satisfaction, this time.
“OK kid,” the Mandalorian said, reaching across the table and picking him up, pulling him back into his chest. “We don’t want to hurt her.”
“I don’t mind,” you said quickly. The creature looked back to you, cocking its little head, ears wiggling.
“What… is it?” You asked, reaching a finger across the table. The creature reached out and took it, all three of its tiny fingers wrapping around the tip of yours. There was the foreign, outside feeling of satisfaction again when it made contact.
“He’s a… quarry that went wrong,” Din said. “Kind of like you.”
You laughed darkly for a moment. A quarry that went wrong. One way to describe it, you supposed.
“I was a step down from a quarry, though,” you said. The child released your finger and looked back up at Din, the odd sensation of his feelings leaving with his gaze. How strange. You looked up at the Mandalorian. “I was just cargo that never happened, right?”
Shura set the bone broth down in front of the creature who looked overjoyed, reaching his tiny hands forward and gripping the small cup with both hands.
“What are you doing here?” He asked after Shura was out of earshot.
“You already figured that one out,” you replied, taking a sip of your tea. “Regular genius that you are.”
“You know what I’m asking, Doll.”
You winced in spite of yourself. You hadn’t heard his name for you in so long.
“You got new armor,” you said instead of answering. “Quite the upgrade.”
“Answer the question.”
“I don’t owe you a damn thing, Mando,” you said, chin defiantly titled up.
“No,” he replied. “But I doubt you want me hunting down everyone you’ve spoken to in the last month until I find whoever hurt you so I can kill them.”
You glared at him, taking another sip of tea before setting it down in front of you and crossing your arms across your body, as though they would protect you from him in some way.
“And if they’re already dead?” You asked.
“Are they?” You opened your mouth to reply but he cut you off. “You’re a good liar, Doll, but not with me. Are they still alive.”
He was right. He saw right through you. He saw through you when you pressed the blaster to his chest, when you said you hated him, when you said it was fine that you were a warm body. The asshole always saw right through you.
“They’re alive,” you replied. “But I handled it. He’s in worse shape than me.”
“I doubt it.”
“Really?” You replied. “Because I took one of his eyes, Din, and there are some things even bacta can’t fix.”
“Anything to eat today, Kelda?” Shura came up, smiling at you.
“No,” you smiled tightly back. “Just the tea, thanks.”
“You know, if you want…” she began, but you cut her off.
“I’m fine,” you said quickly. “But thanks.”
She looked at the Mandalorian, gave him and awkward smile and the kid a scratch on the end of his ear and left again.
“Why didn’t you kill him?” He asked after a moment. You sighed.
“Seems like I’ve killed enough for one lifetime,” you said, staring down at the table. “I couldn’t bring myself to do it again. Not this time.”
He was silent for a moment.
“Where was your husband?” He asked quietly.
You were about to answer, an automatic reply, when you realized it.
“How did you know I’m married?” You asked, fingers digging into your arms, worried you might try to punch him if you weren’t holding onto something. You’d never have been able to beat him on strength but you were well trained. There was a time where you thought you could have held your own against the Mandalorian. That was no longer the case. “Have you been tracking me? Stalking me?”
“No.”
The baby on his lap cooed, holding up his empty cup and waving it at him. Din took it and set it on the table, out of the child’s reach. The creature pouted, a feeling of disappointment coming from him when his oversized eyes found yours. You looked back up at the Mandalorian.
“Then how,” you had to speak through gritted teeth.
“I checked up on you once or twice,” he said. You could feel that his eyes weren’t meeting yours. “When I was in the region, I stopped to see Aidla and Tam. She told me you were married.”
“That’s a lie,” you snapped. “She would have told me…”
“I asked her not to,” he replied. “I didn’t want to disrupt your life. You were married, you had peace and quiet. It’s what you wanted.”
“So why did you come back?” You demanded. “You didn’t want to disrupt my life, why come see me at all?”
“I tried not to,” he said quietly.
“Why?”
He was silent again for a moment.
“Where was your husband?”
You stared him down from across the table, waiting for him to put it together. You knew he would. He stiffened.
“How long.” It was a growl and not really a question.
“He waited a while,” you shrugged. “Made it so I had no other options.”
“How. Long.”
You sighed.
“It lasted about six months,” you replied. “It was never great but it was fine, for a while, even though I wasn’t… well, I wasn’t good at giving him what he wanted. But he ran out of patience with me after Aidla and Tam died about nine months back. They were the only contacts I had, we lived in the middle of nowhere so I had no friends. I couldn’t access the speeder. My parents died before you even left me on Dantooine, not that I would have risked asking them for help…”
You sighed, looking at the wall next to you. You couldn’t believe you were doing this again, telling this damned man everything you hated about yourself.
“Anyway,” you sighed. “I can take a lot and I did a decent enough job holding him off considering I hadn’t kept my skills up in years. But a few weeks ago, he was drunk, got upset that I’d refused my ‘wifely duties’ for a bit too long, tried to take what he wanted. So, I took his eye. And his ear.”
“You left him alive.” He was seething.
“Yeah,” you nodded. You met his eyes, almost pleading with him to understand. “I just… I couldn’t do it. It’s not that I ever loved him but… I needed to not be the thing that killed him. Even if he deserved it.”
“Is he still on Dantooine?” Din’s hand was on the table, fist clenched tight. The kid looked concerned. You titled your head, seeing if he’d meet your eyes so you could confirm it. He did, the worry tinged by confusion.
“Don’t be afraid little guy,” you said, smiling softly at him. “Everything’s alright.”
The Mandalorian looked down at him and back to you.
“Sorry,” you said, looking up at Din. “He’s not looking at you so you probably can’t feel it but he’s a little freaked out…”
“What do you mean ‘can’t feel it?’”
“Oh,” you frowned, looking back to the creature who was looking up at the Mandalorian. “Do you not feel it?”
“Feel what?”
“When he looks me in the eye, I can feel some of what he does,” you said. “I’m sorry, I thought you’d have realized that by now, I figured it was just part of… whatever species he is.”
Din was quiet for a moment before he picked the baby up, turned him around and lifted him in front of his face, so their eyes would be level. The Child cooed happily.
“Any luck?” You asked after a moment. He just shook his head. You shrugged. “Probably can’t make it through your thick helmet.”
The Mandalorian grunted and put the kid on the bench beside him, pulling a metal ball out of the bag at his side and handing it to him. He took it happily. Din turned his attention back to you.
“Where’s your husband now.”
“Why?” You asked. “He’s not hurting me anymore, that’s all that matters.”
“No,” he replied. “Tell me where he is, Doll, or…”
“Or what?” You asked. “You’ll forget I ever happened? I was cargo, Mando. You did your job, it’s done. It’s been done for years.”
“I will hunt him,” he said, his voice hard. “If you tell me, it will be easier but I don’t need you to. I can track him without you and I will make him pay.”
“I don’t want you to,” you said, jaw tense. “I don’t want your help, I don’t want to owe you a damn thing. I want you to leave me alone.”
“What are your plans from here?” He asked. “Do you plan on working at that… place forever?”
“Only until I save up enough credits to catch a transport out of here,” you shrugged. “Figured if I can make it to midrim, I can find work as a translator or something. I just need identification for whoever I’m going to be next and the ticket off this planet and then I’m set. It should only take me a few more months, I can lay low the long.”
“And if he comes looking for you?” He asked. “You sold your blaster.”
You frowned, eyebrows knitting together.
“How did you know that?”
He pulled the weapon out from a pouch on his leg setting it on the table between you. You picked it up, holding it with reverence.
“Bought it off a weapons trader earlier,” he said. “It’s how I found you, said he bought it off a girl this morning, one who was in trouble. I thought it might have been you. It was a long shot but I had to check…”
“What’d you pay for it?” You asked, turning it over in your hands. You’d only sold it hours before but you’d resigned yourself to never seeing it again. It seemed miraculous that you had it now.
“Just 750 credits,” Din replied. You laughed dryly.
“You got a deal,” you said, setting it down in the middle of the table. “Thought that guy had half a brain, figured he’d get it without me pointing it out. The royal seal at the base of the handle increases its value. You could turn it around and sell it for 2,000 on Coruscant. But his loss is your gain.”
“Keep it,” he said. “Absolutely not,” you shook your head firmly.
“Doll…”
“I mean it,” you replied. “I’m not going to owe you. I can’t owe you.”
“And I’m not going to leave you here, defenseless, when someone nearly beat you to death,” he snapped.
“Mando,” you sighed but he leaned across the table, fists clenched.
“If you won’t take the blaster, I’ll give you two choices,” he said.
“Fine. What are they?”
“Choice one, you come with me and I take you wherever you want to go,” he replied. You opened your mouth to protest but he cut you off. “I could use some help protecting the kid and picking up odd jobs. I’ll let you work your way through so you don’t owe me. Choice two, you stay here and I hunt your husband so I can kill him.”
“That is not fair,” you fought to keep from yelling at him. “You can’t back me into a corner like that!”
“You forced my hand,” he shrugged. “If you won’t keep yourself safe, you haven’t left me another option.”
“Is this fun for you?” You snapped. “Do you enjoy this?”
“Enjoy seeing you hurting?” He replied, his voice oddly calm. “No.”
He watched you, unflinching from across the table. You wondered, for a moment, if you could run. You weren’t especially strong at the moment and you didn’t have much in the way of credits. You could maybe get to the other side of the planet, but with no real identification, it would take a while before you found work again and you’d be stuck. And Din was Din. He’d find you before you made it off world.
“Fine,” you hissed. “I’ll come with you.”
“Good,” he said.
“Tomorrow,” you said. “I have some things to finish up here.”
“Fine,” he said. “Tomorrow morning, space port.”
“Still in the Razor Crest?” He just gave you a stiff nod. “I’ll find you.”
“If you don’t, I’ll find you.”
You believed him.
A/N: Some info about where we're coming into the Mandoverse now that the fic and the show timelines will collide!
This is now 3 years after the first 11 chapters of this fic, set post Season 1 of the Mandalorian (the fight against Gideon has happened.) From here out, this will drastically diverge from canon (while hopefully maintaining characterization from the show for non-OC.)

The loud music coming from inside the frat house was making the windows shake and the faint rumble of the glass had Nesta grimace in disgust.
She didn't hate drunk people, she certainly loved music and she'd have kissed someone's feet if there was even the slight chance they could free her from the awful torment that finals week was just so she could freely attend a well-organized party. But frats, on the other hand.
There had been a time during her first year where Greek row had been her home, she'd lived and breathed their parties, made pacts with the devils—only to be brutally rejected by everyone she'd called a friend after she broke up with her ex.
Nesta hated frats, despised them. And it was personal.
Reaching behind her and taking Gwyn's hand in hers in a silent agreement not to let go, she walked right into the beast's den, welcoming the stench of testosterone, alcohol and smoke.
The air was stifling and the heat was already making her sweat. The floors were sticky and Nesta remembered all the mornings she'd been put on cleaning duty.
Entering the wide living room, she went up on her toes, searching the faces for a familiar one that didn't give her shivers.
Emerie had texted them that her dd had bailed on her and left her behind and she was lucky both Nesta and Gwyn had been studying in the library and not already asleep.
But she wasn't picking up her calls and Nesta was getting antsy, so here they were.
"Let's check the backyard!" Gwyn shouted over the music after looking for Emerie in all the rooms.
A few people in passing said hi to them, even seeming surprised to see her in the house. Nesta didn't stop for a single one of them, she just wanted to get her friend and leave.
The moment they walked out back, fresh air hit her face and she took a deep breath. The music was somewhat muffled here and only a few small groups where outside, chilling as the party was coming to an end.
"C'mon, Ems, you told me you'd play with me tonight. You can't leave."
The sentence snapped her attention to the pool, where Eris Vanserra was standing next to Emerie, blocking her way.
From their standing point, Nesta could perfectly see her friend's face when it crumbled into utter revulsion.
"Oh boy, did you just call me Ems?" She asked, scoffing. "Do I look like an ambulance to you?"
Gwyn snorted next to Nesta as they started walking towards the pair.
Eris' laugh made Nesta irrationally furious, but nothing compared to what his next words roused.
"Listen, you made a promise. You're not leaving until you beat me."
Oh, fuck no.
Nesta was almost to them, ready to push the fucker into the water and be done with whatever the fuck this was, but someone else piped in.
A low, gravelly voice, belonging to the man of the hour. It was hard not to recognize his timbre when he personally invited the entire university to attend his team's games every other hour through the speakers scattered across their campus.
"Leave the girl alone, Van Boy. You sound a word closer to a restraining order."
Nesta's eyebrows shot up. Cassian Navarro helping her friend out against his teammate wasn't in her 2023 bingo card.
He was sitting on the benches around the stone brazier, some other recognizable faces with him. He had an arm on the back of his seat, his head turned back to look at their small circle.
"Thanks, cap, but I've got this." Eris sounded annoyed by Cassian pitching in and Nesta relished in it.
Emerie laughed, shaking her head. "You so don't, and I will throat punch you if you don't move out of my way. I wanna leave."
Eris grinned, "Your friend left you here, isn't that right?"
Nesta was one second away from stepping in, but, if she had to be completely honest, this little theater play was unfurling quite amusingly. Plus, she knew Emerie could hold her own.
"Cut the bs, Vanserra," Morrigan Nevin, honorable the cheer squad, stood up, crossing her arms on her chest. She nodded towards Nesta and Gwyn and said, "And Little Miss Archeron over there looks ready to fight, so I'd recommend you let her friend leave and call it a night."
All eyes turned on her in a beat. She wasn't surprised Morrigan knew her name. After all, her younger sister had just started college and from what little they'd shared, Feyre seemed to be fitting right into this crowd.
Nesta's eyes though—treacherous fuckers they were—landed perfectly on Cassian. He, too, was staring at her and, with a cheeky smile, he lifted his hand in greeting. She pressed her lips together.
Eris faced her then, his mouth curling even more at her dead serious expression.
"Look what the cat dragged in," he mused. "Hadn't seen you in a hot minute, thought you'd stopped whoring down Greek Row a while ago."
Gwyn stepped forward, her face red with immediate anger. "Fuck you, you don't know what you're talking about."
Nesta loved her friends, she truly did, but this piece-of-shit-no-one didn't deserve their time or attention.
"Em, let's go."
Emerie stepped around Eris and he didn't say anything as she neared the pair. Didn't even glance at her, only kept staring at Nesta.
They were about to turn around and leave when Eris spoke again.
"You used to party with us all the time. Guess Tomas really did fuck you up, at least that's how the rumor has it."
Nesta stopped walking and glared daggers into him and she was seething when she spit at him, "I never partied with you. Even when I hang out with the scum that Tomas' close group is, I wasn't stooping as low as you."
Eris' face dropped. And Nesta wasn't done talking.
"They might all be assholes who don't give a shit about anyone but themselves, but they would have never held someone from leaving a party cause they can't find a better pastime."
"Your friend made a promise," his stupid reply was.
Nesta glanced at Emerie, who shrugged and rolled her eyes at the sky, "I told him I'd play beer pong with him at the end of the party if he left me the fuck alone."
She turned back on Eris, her face mockingly pitiful. "Can't find any friends unless you coerce people into spending time with you?"
"Aw, poor thing," Gwyn deadpanned.
"A promise is a promise."
"Fucking hell, Eris." Cassian called, "why do you always have to be so difficult?"
"They're just afraid they're gonna lose. It's a simple request to play a game. Don't understand why it got all of you so worked up."
Afraid? To lose at beer pong?
Nesta knew she was playing right into his mind game, but she was stressed out because of finals, fed up with the way he'd treated her friend and she could've used the satisfaction that came with knocking him down a few pegs.
"Okay," Nesta said, "let's play."
Eris smiled, content that he was getting what he wanted.
She jerked her head toward the house. "Go set the table."
Cassian Navarro had stood up in the meantime, he'd walked closer to them and was now nearing her, his eyes fixated on her face. Nesta was—for whatever reason—excited about the prospect of him talking to her. She was waiting for it like one waited to get to the plot twist of a book.
She hadn't even noticed Eris walking inside, nor Morrigan joining Cassian, not until Emerie pulled on her elbow.
"Great move, now let's get out of here."
Nesta jerked towards her friends, confused. "What? No, I wanna play."
Gwyn frowned, "Why?"
"He said we were afraid to lose."
Emerie snickered, eyes wide.
"You're nuts, Nes. Let's just leave."
"You know," his voice rumbled through her head. Nesta tensed marginally. He sounded so close. "You can go, you don't really have to play against him. He's just a harmless dickhead."
She spun on her heels slowly, tilting her head back to be able to look into his eyes, assessing his neck and the tattoos peeking from his shirt.
The silence stretched for seconds, minutes, hours before she found the words. She could only muster a sure whisper, his vicinity affecting her way more than she liked to admit.
"I have this under control, don't worry. And I honestly wanna play."
Cassian's mouth opened in a sweet smile and his eyes didn't move from hers as he gestured for them to lead the way. His entire group had gotten up and now the ten of them walked inside the house.
Nesta heard Morrigan talk to Emerie, ask if she was okay and found herself smiling lightly at the flirty response her friend gave the blonde. Give it to Emerie to look for a hookup at this moment.
A significant amount of people had left the party and now only the fraternity boys and whoever they were gonna fuck tonight were sitting on the sofas and the floor. The music had died down and someone was ushering the remaining partygoers outside, someone else screaming about cheating boyfriends and fucking alcohol.
They reached the ping pong table in the hall, only a couple making out in the corner of the room.
Nesta and Emerie stood at one end of the table.
Balthazar Saraiva sauntered to the opposite side of the table, winking at both the girls like they'd been friends forever.
Nesta breathed out a laugh. She was going to destroy them.
"What rules are we playing with? Bounce, no bounce? Who dunks can continue playing or we taking turns?" Emerie asked.
"No bouncing, only direct shots. And we're taking turns." Eris replied.
Nesta nodded, humming.
An imposing figure stood next to her, like a giant statue. His arms crossed over his chest made his muscles look bigger and Nesta would be lying to herself if she didn't admit that it was distracting.
"Ladies first," Eris drawled, "I'm giving you the starting advantage."
"No need," Nesta smirked and took the shot, dunking the ball on the first try. Eris stopped smiling.
Cheering broke around them, but Nesta only heard the satisfied comment from Cassian, his glimmering eyes on her.
"Atta girl."
She couldn't have stopped the shy smile from spreading even if she'd tried.
The game went on shortly. Eris was missing every shot he could, getting purposely distracted by Azriel Behar and Rhysand Almeda. The two guys were really putting so much effort into making it difficult for him, walking behind him every time he had to shoot or calling out to him at the least appropriate moment.
Nesta would have asked them to stop in any other circumstances, wanting an honest and clean win, but seeing the way it was working Eris up, she couldn't bring herself to.
They won the game in less than five minutes, Emerie only missing one shot, and when Gwyn came behind them and lifted both of them up in an improvised victory dance, Nesta felt lighter.
Emerie smacked a kiss on her cheek and then started screaming profanities at Eris.
"Looks like you need the ems now, uh? Cause you definitely got burned!"
Nesta cringed as everyone around them started laughing.
She'd already been somewhat tipsy and chugging the four cups of beer Balthazar had managed to dunk had pushed her into drunk territory. Always the lightweight, their dark skinned friend.
Gwyn dropped her to the floor again and as she laughed carefree at the ceiling, someone touched her arm.
She turned quickly to her left, lifting her gaze up, up and up, until warm brown eyes met hers.
"I get it you're driving?"
The question took her by surprise. She frowned, nodding skeptically.
Cassian cleared his throat, scratching his cheek. He almost looked… nervous. "Then I guess my plan to offer you a drink is bound to fail."
Her face relaxed, she forced her lips to stay put, her eyes to not widen. He was looking at her expectantly, waiting for a reply.
"I—" her voice came out scratchy. "Yes, sorry. Driving."
She couldn't utter a fully formed sentence, apparently, but he seemed amused by it.
"Raincheck, then? Maybe Friday night?"
Nesta was on cloud 9. What the fuck was happening right now?
"Like a date?"
Cassian smiled, "We can call it whatever you like, sweetheart."
Nesta sobered up at that. She shook her head. "Don't call me that, that's for sure."
His interest only grew with those words and Nesta saw the challenge flash behind his eyes.
"So, what do you say? Drink with me on Friday night?"
Nesta studied his face a beat longer, trying to gauge his real intention. Was he playing with her? She was literally wearing sweatpants and a stained sweatshirt. And yes, she knew she was still beautiful in library attire with no makeup whatsoever, but he'd only spoken to her twice in the four years they'd attended college.
And Nesta, well, she remembered that first time pretty vividly. She simply didn't want to dwell on it, because she knew it wasn't the same on his side. It had to be that way.
Cassian's smile faltered. He took a step back, drawing a tight breath in.
"Forget I asked." He whispered, still loud enough to be heard over the noise of their friends shitting on Eris in the background. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable–"
"Yes." Nesta interrupted him, closing the distance again. "Yes, I'll come out with you on Friday. For drinks."
Cassian reeled back, surprised. His smile came back full force and he nodded once.
She nodded back, offering a weak smile in turn. She could do this. She just needed to hold back the excitement until she was in the car with her friends.
He looked at her, running a hand through his long hair, and sighed.
"I'll come pick you up then. At 9."
"Sounds good, I live–"
He grinned, "Oh, don't worry, I remember."
Nesta's lips parted.
His smile widened.
He remembered.
