Finding the egg

You have been on a walk through the tall mountain that you've called home for a long time now, and you decided to take a longer walk than normal. You head off the beaten path to a new patch of trees and cliffsides. You nearly trip after a big step down and tumble off the cliff when you grab a hanging root and pull yourself up.

You find a nest and it's barely even held together. The twigs and moss are ripped and broken, and a few eggs that sit inside are broken. Most likely, eaten by something. You are glad that whatever it is did leave one tiny egg.

It looked way too sad. You couldn't just leave it there, even if the brothers were the only ones allowed on this mountain top. You scooped it up and held it close and you made sure to go back carefully.

When you get back, everyone is still out, so you make your way to the family nest and sit next to it and try to warm it up.

When they came back and saw the egg, they all bickered and squawked over whose egg it was. When you reminded them that you're a human and told them how you found it and wanted to take care of it.

Satan told you it was likely the egg wouldn't hatch if it had been alone for too long and Lucifer agreed, but taking a look at it, sure enough it was a healthy egg.

Asmodeus was a bit uncomfortable with the idea, but if you wanted to take care of it he couldn't stop you. He couldn't think of an alternative anyway. He couldn't leave an egg all by himself.

Mammon hated the idea. He tried to see if he could pawn it on someone else, but when you gave him those big eyes he grumbled and kicked his talons around before curling his wing around you both.

Leviathan was scared, not exactly sure if he was responsible enough to help, let alone be around it without something going wrong. But you looked so happy. He couldn't take that happiness away.

Satan was interested in it. He wanted to see if it would act like a human when you raised it. He was also intrigued by the egg shape and color. He'd never seen an egg like that and was interested in the type of harpy that might hatch from it.

Lucifer didn't care either way. Just as long as you take care of it. If you couldn't, he'd find someone who could. It's a big decision. You better be ready for it.

Beelzebub was quite excited about the idea of making their family a bit bigger. His feathers puffed up as soon as he saw you with it, and now that everyone has agreed he's already thinking of names for it.

Belphegor didn't think too much of it but was happy he now had an excuse to sleep more. Warm an egg? No problem. And if it was with you that's even better.

Taking care of it

Some of them have helped rear eggs before. Beelzebub being the main one, with Lucifer right behind him. It's been a very long time so the process takes a while to get back into.

They take shifts watching over the egg with you. And with you being human they have to do most of the work.

Lucifer just has it sit in your lap as he wraps his wings around you to keep you both warm. He reminds you every once in a while to rotate the egg gently.

Mammon begrudgingly sits with it, grumbling about how he doesn't want to do this and how embarrassing it is. You can shut him up with a kiss or even call it Little Mammon for a bit and he gets attached. Maybe even to a point where he tries to take it from the others.

Leviathan tries his hardest to help, but with how small it is, he's convinced he's going to somehow fall over and turn it Sunny Side up. He has you hold it and wraps you both up as he fixes the nest more than warms the egg. Yes, he's excited to see it, but how will he cope? You look too adorable right now.

Satan didn't mind his duties. He took them rather seriously. He'd have it in his lap as he read and even had you sit next to him as he did it. He used the old candling technique to make sure it was developing correctly and even praised you for how well you're doing.

Asmodeus is fawning over you, his wings flapping as he gets a good look at you. Oh you're just so adorable with an egg sitting all pretty in the nest. It's a shame you could make more with him, but one is fine for now. He cuddles up with you and keeps the egg nice and tucked between you. It's hard to imagine he's ever had a problem with it before. Now he's polishing the shell and kissing it.

Beelzebub is brimming with excitement as he takes his turn. He ends up bringing back more food than he needs to, claiming it's for the chick. He sits with you. The egg in your lap and you are in his lap as you both hold each other. He makes sure to keep it clean and even gets a bit broody. He'll slap away his brothers if they are being too troublesome around it and finds comfort when he's around it.

Belphegor doesn't change much. He seeks it out only so he can nap with the both of you. Tucked next to him as his wing covers it and holds you close to his chest.

When they are all together, they leave a space for you and the egg, and for the first time since you've known them, they don't toss and turn. They lay perfectly still.

Hatching

When you're holding it, you can feel it wiggle and even a small cheap from inside, and when the others hear they all flock to you.

The tiny egg hatches, and it's unlike any other harpy they've seen. They’ve never seen one with such an interesting pattern. It must be from a different land. It falls right on you and when it opens its eyes, it just cuddles up to you. Some of them are jealous but the others smack them for being ridiculous.

The chick is perky and ready to run after a few days, and it follows you everywhere. It never leaves your side and the way it runs is almost comical with how it tries to flap its tiny underdeveloped wings to keep up.

Your family grew a little. And while it's hard to adjust it seems like everything is moving along well and everyone seems to be happy.

My HC for what the Demon Bro's full eldritch forms are like:

Lucifer: Beautiful in a way that makes you instantly afraid for your life. So beautiful he lurches into the uncanny valley. Similar to his usual demon form but just off. His black diamond splits open into a third eye and you swear you see others winking at you, but every time you try to catch one, they vanish. Looking at him too long makes you nauseous. Unsettling 10/10

Mammon: Too many feathers and too many teeth. His arms fuse to his wings and feather, his knees buckle backward like a birds, and his feet split into glistening black talons. Big harpy energy. Gets easily distracted by roadkill and his appearance in clean windows. Unsettling 7/10

Levi: BIG Sea serpent bab. Hinged jaw that can swallow small ships whole if he wanted to (but they're spiky so he doesn't really want to). Reflected strange eyes like deep sea creatures, so bright light hurts them. Finned barbs along his spine and jaw. Pharyngeal teeth (google at your own risk). 9/10

Satan: Similar to Lucifer, beautiful, but in the way a skinned knee can be beautiful. Ragged with too many eyes snapping and glaring crammed on his cheekbones and lacing down his jugular. Claws that split the ends of his fingers and digitigrade legs that end in splayed toes (beans) that feel a bit feline. Unsettling 10/10

Asmodeus: Scorpion Centaur. Scorpitaur? Gleaming black exoskeleton that fuses to his exposed spine. "Human" half is beautiful until he opens his jaw to reveal retractable fangs. Highly venomous yet sexy in a scary way? Unsettling 4/10 or 10/10 it depends on how he's smiling at you at any given moment.

Beelzebub: Another big boi. Tusks. Thick bones that won't break no matter how he abuses them. Minotaur-esque. Shaggy hair and armored knuckles. Force of destruction but easily tamed with food or soft pets. Unsettling 6/10

Belphegor: Looks similar to his demon form at first, but a second glance shows his limbs are a little too long and his muscles a bit more taunt. Lithe like a feline, but a near invisible jaguar to Satan's lion. Short fangs and sharp incisors. Looks normal enough to get you close so he can snap your neck in his jaw. Unsettling 2/10 until it's too late.

Obey Me! Pirates and Sirens AU

SO, I've been absolutely raving about this AU that I came up with recently where MC and Solomon are pirates, the demons are sirens, and the angels are harpies. I wanted to share it here cuz I think you'd appreciate it.

As this is an AU that I made with the help of a few friends, I would appreciate if you tag or credit me if you decide to create content about this AU. Please don't claim as your own and ask permission beforehand. Thank you!

In this AU, MC is a pirate who set out to sea in search of an underwater world ruled by a powerful sea creature known as Diavolo. MC is accompanied by Solomon and other members, until one day there was a bad storm at sea which destroyed the ship. The only two survivors were MC and Solomon. (he used his magic on MC and himself so they would be able to breathe underwater) Just a few miles away, Solomon could sense that they were close to this world and both of them swam to the world. Immediately, they set eyes on 7 different kingdoms. One of Pride, one of Greed, one of Envy, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, and then Sloth. All of them surrounded the front of something even greater, the palace of Lord Diavolo himself.

[NOTE: Not everyone in the kingdoms have this set personality, it ranges obviously.]

Kingdom of Pride -

This kingdom is the most powerful of the 7 kingdoms and ruled by Lucifer. Everyone here is mostly either stuck-up snobs or arrogant losers. 1 every 100 sirens living in this kingdom are genuinely considerate.

Kingdom of Greed -

The second strongest, this kingdom is ruled by "The Great Mammon". Residents of the Kingdom of Greed are, well, greedy. A majority will try to scam you, pick pocket you, or are filthy rich and use their money on stupid things.

Kingdom of Envy -

Kingdom of Wrath -

Ruled by Leviathan, this kingdom is the third strongest. Residents here tend to be more jealous and conservative. A lot of them don't take their jealousy very well, it's the only downfall to this kingdom.

Fourth strongest and the most terrifying, Satan rules this kingdom with an iron fist. Residents of this kingdom tend to lash out more often, and a majority have anger issues.

Kingdom of Lust -

Asmodeus, fifth strongest and the horniest, he and his residents tend to be on the kinder side. Well, kind on the outside, planning to rail you on the inside. Every minor is banned from this kingdom for obvious reasons.

Kingdom of Gluttony -

Ruled by Beelzebub and the help of his plastic burger friend (who's been replaced on multiple occasions), he's the sixth strongest of the seven kingdoms. As you'd expect, demons here eat more than others. Of course, no one will be as intense as Beelzebub himself.

Kingdom of Sloth -

Ruled by Beelzebub's twin, Belphegor. He's the weakest of them all. Spending his times sleeping rather than doing other things, this kingdom is the most peaceful and quiet. Just don't wake them up.

The Palace Diavolo -

Lord Diavolo's abode. Living with his faithful servant, Barbatos, and rumored to have multiple flings with the Pride Kingdoms' ruler, he spends most of his days acting like himself to be the best role model.

The Harpies -

Luke and Simeon, though Luke is only a hatchling and has much to learn. Simeon takes Luke everywhere as he (Simeon) has been banned from his own homeland. He and Luke occasionally visit the underwater world, learning how to swim despite their feathers.

Love Bounds -

Each of the kingdoms has their own prized possession called Love Bound(s). For Pride, it's a crown. For Greed, it's an earring. For Envy, it's a bracelet. For Wrath, it's a ring. For Lust, it's a tongue stud. For Gluttony, it's an anklet. And for Sloth, it's a necklace.

Each of these are special to each ruler and only give the items to the one they deem worthy enough to stand (figuratively) by their side.

Each of the items have a special gem attached to them. The gems are linked to the ruler's soul, so if the item goes into the wrong hands, they could very much die if the gem gets shattered. Basically it's their life source.

I tried to write actual hcs but I just ended up saying "this is the monster and what it does", nothing super specific but Im too fucking tired to fix it now lmao

Also also, I did only a little bit of research due to the lack of time to motivation ratio I have, so PLEASE let me know if any of these hold cultural significance in that it would be offensive for me to use it this way. Its not intentional if it is, and I will change it as soon as I know. Thank you lovies.

Tw: alludes to death, blood, gore etc. Not of mc, just in nature of these creatures and what they do/look like, also the first two are the worst, I swear the rest are better lmao

The Peuchen is a shapeshifter that makes a strange whistling sound before it attacks. It has the ability to strike fear into whoever looks it in the eyes, paralyzing them in order to drain their blood and take their heart without leaving a mark. The only way it can be eliminated is by the hand of a Mapuche medicine woman.

Lucifer- Peuchen (Mapuche/Chilean)

He loooves making his nest huge in a rocky outcropping. Its something he's very proud and protective of, so its actually built very well. It would have to be, seeing as literally anything shiny he comes across gets dumped into the nest. Has even more trouble remembering where he put stuff, but is quicker to recoginize faces. Whenever he gets pouty or flustered theres a sound like a paper fan being opened as he puffs his wings up.

Mammon- Harpy (Greek/Roman)(also yeah yeah ikik they're female in the myths but this is the only exception Ive made)

Levi- Baak (Assamese)

Baak are said to live in bodies of water, and they are shapeshifters, taking on the body of their last victim to journey on land and take their victims place in order to eliminate their entire family. However, some Baak merely play tricks on people, especially children, and thats moreso where Levi lies when he finally decides he wants to be percieved. Also only coming around when there are children reduces his chances of getting hurt or needing to fight. Keeping him at bay just takes a broken fishing net.

Satan- Erzhong Ren (耳中人) (Chinese)

(This monster was introduced in the second story of Liaozhai i.e. the critically acclaimed Qing Dynasty compilation of Chinese supernatural stories.

He's a tiny little ogre that lived in a scholars ear. Going off of this, he enjoys listening to and absorbing information, but doesnt want to run the risk of you/his "host" getting rid of him, so he stays in places that makes it difficult for you to do so. It also means...you HAVE to listen to his opinions.

Asmodeus- Gimuho (Korean)

Similar to the Kitsune, the Gimuho disguises itself as a woman (or just a generally attractive person) to make people fall in love with them. Once they fall in love with him, he devours their heart and other organs :D

Beelzebub- Gashadokuro (Japanese)

Gigantic skeletons formed by the amassed bones of people who died of starvation. They bite the heads off of travelers and drink their blood. They possess the ability to become invisible, and are indestructable, lasting as long as their malicious energy takes to run out. Kinda sounds like if Beel went on a rampage after falling...

Belphie- Bakhtak (Iranian)

It sits on your chest while you’re sleeping aiming to suffocate you to death. It has been depicted as a goblin, a stout heavy looking little man. He is the reason for your nightmares, shortness of breath, and more.

Diavolo- Ifrit (Islamic/Arabian)

Ok so, at its base, an Ifrit is very similar, if not a type, of demon. However I am still including it because I said I will. An ifrit is a powerful and (often though not always) malevolent supernatural being. Magic is the only thing that can overpower them. Although they are often depicted as malicious and ruthless, it is not always true. The ifrit live in complex societies, and will sometimes marry humans and live peacefully with them. They can appear in their truest form, of smokeless fire, or take on the appearance of animals or a human.

Barb - Domovoy (Russian)

A Domovoy is a small household spirit that is known for both causing mischief and assisting with household chores. It depends on how well you treat them. They are able to see into the future, and guard the family that dwells in the house. Sometimes it shows displeasure by causing grating noises or upsetting family pets, but is easily put back to rest with a loaf of bread or another small offering.

Mephistopheles - Dark Watcher (United States - specifically California)

They don’t bring harm or joy, merely ominous as they stand and watch you from a distance, silhouettes with circular eyes that glow a bit. In Mephistopheles case, he likes to observe people over the course of centuries, documenting the differences he notices as time passes.

Simeon - Hyter Sprites (English folklore? Norfolk?)

These sprites have been reported to help lost children return home after dark. It was mostly parents that would villianize them, but the sprites have never harmed the children they have brought home. (They also bring home and protect donkeys askljdhlksajdas) and encourage the children to behave for their parents afterwards.

Raphael- Lamassu (Sumerian)

The Lamassu was a symbol of an ox, eagle, human, and lion used to ward off bad spirits from entering ones home in the Mesopotamian period. It was also said the the Lamassu would reward heroes with many riches after completing missions.

Luke - Fastachee (Native American, did not find specifics)

Often depicted as a small dwarf or gnome like creature, the Fastachee shares corn and medicinal insight with humans. They also heal animals suffering from ailments. The Native American tribes would also share their insight with the Fastachee (Little Giver) and had a positive and respectful relationship with it.

Thirteen- Banshee (Irish)

The banshee is a female spirit said to appear preceding the death of a loved one. She will wail or shriek to warn family members of the coming disaster. Her physical appearance varies, but Thirteen specifically likes to appear as the figure as a young woman in the family that has already passed as a way to herald the death of another loved one.

Solomon- Rübezahl (German/Polish)

Rübezahl appears as a capricious giant, gnome, or mountain spirit. With decent people, he shows them magic/medicine and how to use the land around them. If someone has poor intentions and tricks him, he exacts revenge in an equal manner. In some folklore, he plays the role of a trickster.

I literally worked for months on this because of my brain being frustrating and trying to find to find things that fit, and some of them Im still not happy with. Yes, there are a few that could have better fitting monsters but by the time I found out about them, I had already written about another monster from the same country. So please be gentle is what Im trying to say djskdbskjs I DO NOT have the emotional energy to deal with asshats

What If I Want to be Yours? (Part 1)

Feeling Yun’s claws on his chest, the precious smaller dragon kneading into him as he thrusted his hips, teasing the dragon’s prostate. “Dammit, Starfire yer makin’ this country demon want to breed ya.” He growled as his best friend laughed.

Yun made a quip about the other being no country devil. “Then breed me, Beelze~. Breed and mark me as your mate.” He mewled. “NOW.”

“Such a demanding little brat.” Beelzebub growled into Yun’s ear. Just as he was kissing Yun and earning another cute mewl from the dragon, rearing to do as the other asked-

BZZZZT!!! BZZZZT!!! BZZZZT!!! BZZZZT!!! ALERT!! ALERT!

“What in the Nine FUCKIN HELLS?!” He was jolted awake by his alarm which everyone in the house heard him throw. And making contact with the wall, resulting in a loud crash then thud. “Gods dammit...” He growled before flopping back onto his bed. This was getting ridiculous...these dreams of him actually making love to Yun were getting out of hand. It would never happen, Yun was still heavily scarred from Ptolemy’s attack and whilst most of his elder siblings would have pounced; no scratch that, he knew that Satan would have pounced on him had it not threaten the alliance with Sai Gong.

Looking down, he saw he was still hard as a rock which had him growling more as he went to take a shower before he started the day on his chores. He really might pop over to Asmodeus’s night club and grab a feminine incubus-but that was disrespectful to Yun too. Guess Mammon is right…I’ll never be a full devil given that I’m still thinkin’ like an angel. Whatever that meant…If he was honest, Mammon could go fall into a lava pit to drown. Sighing as he calmed down, he soon went on about his day and during lunch called up his big brother. The annual meeting was soon, their New Years was about a month away and so was harvest season. Plus Yun’s visits would be far and between since Oct. 31st was the day he and Yue often returned to the world of the living.

Well, Yue more since she has a husband and four kids, the entire Oasis to rule over. Yun often just would retreat to his area or he would hang about Hell a bit longer til he had to leave.

“Hey, it’s me. Can it Lulu I’m in no mood, just wanna talk to Oz real quick.” Beelzebub grumbled as he heard the Demon Lord of Lust shoo off Lucifer. He had to smile softly, already seeing it as he then heard that velvety smooth voice putting him at ease. “Before you ask, yes. It happened again.”

“Ara? And he revealed a new kink did he?” Asmodeus asked with a playful hint in his voice causing Beelzebub to blush. “Beelzebub Morpheus Leclair, you need to talk to Yun.” Beelzebub shivered at his whole name being said on top of the way Asmodeus used that hypnotic tone. “Talk to your dragon, Beelze. It’s high time you made how you felt known. Clear the air as the humans say~”

Easier said than done, was what he wanted to quip back. But Asmodeus was right, and the two could be friends with benefits if they decided that being an official couple was far too much of a hassle. Sure, they wouldn’t be able to reap the full benefits, such as fighting off the harpies that wanted both men for personal gain; Beelzebub wasn’t stupid. There were those who wanted both him and Yun for their status. “Beelze…in all seriousness, talk to your best friend. I’d do it while you have the chance.”

Sighing, the Demon Lord of Gluttony agreed and thanked his big brother for his help. “Why don’t you two make dinner plans as well? Don’t you have movie night coming up?”

“If he doesn’t have plans with Hades or the boys.” The youngest Demon Lord replied.

“See? Give him a ring and good luck, Beelze. Let me know how it goes, okay?” Beelzebub smiled and nodded, before he hung up. Sighing and shaking himself, he gulped and called up his best friend’s cell phone. “Good thing Hades made sure these things worked in his realm.”

It’s a type of yokai in Japanese myth, and it typically manifests in a woman who rarely eats. A ravenous mouth sprouts from the back of their head and screeches obnoxiously if not fed.

Well, at least MC’s hair acts like tentacles now. Maybe they can defend themselves better that way xD

Now there’s another never ending stomach to feed.

He’s tired. Really, tired.

At first he’ll try to keep up with her stomach.

Then he’d show her the ropes around the kitchen in hopes she’d fend for herself.

Then he’ll probably cut her off late night snacking because he can’t afford to feed two Beel’s.

He’ll beg ask her to get a job to support her own meals.

It’s to the point he just puts on some loud music whenever MC’s second mouth starts screeching.

Nearly got his hand bit off.

And that’s how he found out his dear human, actually isn’t human.

Man was in shock and basically grieving for a while because of that.

But he gets over himself.

They’re still his MC and he’s still their first demon.

Though his wallet is even slimmer then it was because now he has to keep that second moth of hers from screeching.

He’ll let her feed it though. He doesn’t want to risk loosing a hand.

Before he got to know MC, he probably would just be very annoyed with her second mouth.

And the screeching.

But other then that he doesn’t care.

After he starts to get to know MC though, he’ll allow her access to his personal stash.

So as the screeching doesn’t interrupt their gaming.

Though he is annoyed he has to leave his room more often for snacks.

He’s one of the few that actually has the guts to mess with the back of her head.

Which is why he shares his snacks with her.

And they often go out to eat a lot.

And they work at Hell’s Kitchen a lot to earn money to eat more.

He will make sure her mouth stays well feed.

While he can’t keep his own hunger away, maybe he can help to keep hers away.

He lets the others deal with it.

Though he has to admit the first time he heard the screech his was surprised.

He thought a Harpy had broken into the HoL or something.

Still, he might help out a little if he’s awake and Beel’s there.

Other then that… tough luck.

But the crew hung and tentacles can occasionally wake him up so…

He know has an alarm clock.

And he hates it.

Hello, all! For easy reference while reading my story, Lovely Demons, I’ve created a Fantasy Glossary of important terms/characters (below the cut). I hope you enjoy!

Witchery: country of the witches, within the mortal realms

Virago: capital city of Witchery

the Keep: the most prestigious magic academy in Witchery

Euclid: southernmost human country, within the mortal realms

Genus: human country, at war with Euclid; within the mortal realms

Romanthia: northernmost human country, fairly remote; within the mortal realms

Tholoss Forest: cursed forest between the mortal realms and Hell

the Wasteland: barren grassland north of the Tholoss forest

Hell’s Maw: entrance for mortals into Hell

Hell: immortal realm for demons and mortal souls which don’t enter Heaven or purgatory

Gehenna: capital city of Hell

Tartarus (pits of): darkest place in Hell where the worst demons form and the worst mortal souls reside

Heaven: immortal realm for mortal souls deemed worthy enough to enter

Melinoe: gentle, nighttime spirits who assist at the Infernal Palace

Witch titles tend to be literal, a hyphenated version of witch. For example, witch-hunter is a witch who hunts. Witch-queen is a witch who is queen.

As prince he is strong and he wants a mate that can handle that and deal it back, but he also appreciates beauty and graces, he adores monsters that look phenomenal without even trying

Barbatos

Griffens, they have a beauty to them he respects, Amarak, Kludde,, antler headed beast, merfolk, Kirin, wraith, reaper, Kumiho, kitsune

He loves beauty and grace, also anything that makes him feel small in comparison, anything that can pick him up with ease

(Merfolk are best for a quickie since they usally stay in the water, works great when you don’t have much free time!)

He’s a little intimidated by giant, terrifying monsters, he tends to find comfort in them having features he can vaguely recognize, even if they aren’t human/demon or angel

But in all seriousness, Kludde, werewolf, gorgon, skin walker (it’s basically a human but…), vampire, wraith, reaper, Kumiho, kitsune, banshee

He’s been around for a while and has seen a lot, he likes things that can go off as human, but aren’t actually, it brings up less questions in public.

He likes dangerous monsters because he’s a huge fan of fear play, they all are in my opinion.

“And I’ll bet your hungry.” You tease, poking your tongue out at him. He smirks and catches it between his teeth, kissing you until you moan. There’s a savage gleam in his eyes as he releases you.

“Food isn’t the only thing I can be gluttonous about.”
