“Have you met Seal Hood?”
Dick paused almost mid-jump, having apparently turned to the wrong channel but also changed to the perfect one too. At least, perfect in the fact that he had just overheard an interesting thing from Jason, apparently forgetting that his comm was in fact on still.
Damian must have answered, because Jason snorted a laugh. “You can try getting him to leave, he’s taken over my bathtub and keeps eating all my food.”
Hold up, was- Dick had thought Jason was talking about a plush or something, but was he talking about a literal living animal seal??
“I’ll have you know I’m not going to make a poor little baby seal leave, and I’m not putting him in a zoo, brat.”
Oh Gotham, it was a real living animal seal. Dick about faced, rushing towards Jason’s safehouse. How did he get a seal? Why was it in his bathtub?? Why hadn’t he called the proper people for this sort of thing?! He had to get to the safehouse now to see this shit.

Where the Bats Come to Hide
Part 1
What if the reason Damian loves and wants so many animals isn't just because they are cute what if it's the protection.
A giant Great Dane who is a cuddly weapon.
Damian trained Titus. A dog who is 200 pounds and pure muscle. An animal who can guard Damian while he sleeps who's weight every night is a reminder that someone will die and sacrifice themselves before allowing any harm to come to its owner. Who Damian can in a heart beat call when he wakes up in a cold sweat and feels like someones lurking in the shadows.
He loves his family trusts them but nights when he can't stop shaking or when he goes to take a shower but can't leave his back unguarded all he has to do is look to the corner and see his protecter ready and waiting.
He doesn't have to worry about if his brothers or father will might make fun of him because he doesn't feel safe Titus and Alfred are right there.
He chooses to sleep with his knife yet he doesn't have to because Titus is ready.
Animals don't betray you and he can sleep peacfully under the protection of his best friend.
A best friend who is a whistle away who won't judge or misunderstand who knows and loves Damian unconditionally.

Dick, in an effort to distract Bruce from running himself into the ground, downloads virtual chess onto both the Batcomputer and his personal computer.
Dick was half asleep when he did this.
He downloaded 5d chess with time travel.
Now if Bruce isn't hyperfixating on a case, he's hyperfixating on a chess match against one of the speedsters or he's in the middle of a two day long chess match against Tim or Damian.

Halloween prompts no. 6
A massive two headed ghost crow is causing chaos in Gotham and nothing the batfam try seems to work. They even called in Constantine for help only to find out magic didn't affect the thing either.
However when Nightwing called Robin "baby bird" the crow mimicked him, sounding almost...concerned??? The bird stopped its rampage and the two heads examined Damian, "baby" one head said and was followed by the other head saying "bird"
Then it snapped him up by the cape and flew off with him.
Damian was kinda miffed that the bird kept trying to feed him things. First it was a very terrified cat, then a fish before the vigilante explained he was a vegetarian and what that was.
The bird left and came back with a tree branch in one beak and a whole pumpkin in the other. Damian wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with the branch, did it expect him to eat the leaves? The other head kept trying to get him to eat the pumpkin whole by pressing it against his face.
By the time the batfam found him he was surrounded by increasingly random things the birds had brought him. Nightwing just wanted to know where the bird got a ten foot long French fry.

Later, Duke will regret listening to Dick and Steph, because there is now a massive fucking dragon glowering down at all of them from the back yard with nine heads. Each of which do not seem pleased. It might be time to question what Damian might have brought home this time…

So I have another idea that's kinda based off my other one.
More so in the way that Danny and Vlad are a dragon and phoenix. Danny being a dragon is kinda vital to this au AnYwAyS so.
Unlike in my other half king idea aus, Danny and Vlad do not have a truce, well kinda but also not. They won't go out of their way to fight each other if say, they're on the other side of the zone or out of it and such.
But as soon as they see each other physically it's on sight.
(Like all my other half king ideas, Danny has the crown and Vlad the ring.)
It doesn't matter where or when, as soon as they so much has make eye contact they drop every damn thing they be doing- important or not, and go blow to blow. Either in words or physically.
Though most of the time, fighting in words is when they're in human form, physically is almost always going to be in mythical beast form.
Not that it's 100% but it is what it is.
The reason being that Dragons and Phoenix's are either mortal enemies, or have a harmonious relationship with each other.
And in this case there is literally no in between.
And guess which one Danny and Vlad got.
So in one of their very recent fights, they managed to mortally wound each other. Which wouldn't be possible for ghosts, but since they're also half human they managed it.
So when they decided to fuck it and disregarding their shared status of Ghost King they make the choice to go the extra mile and finish the other off.
Not that it would actually kill them, but it's literally not much in the face of their shared eternity.
After pulling off the last attack, they both get knocked out, ectoplasm and blood flowing from their wounds but instead of falling into a random part of the ghost zone they instead fall into a portal that opened under their falling bodies.
They didn't fall through time, nor to anywhere on their earth.
No, they instead fell into another dimension entirely.
Vlad fell onto a farm, a loud crash announcing his entrance from the portal. His flames were weak, barely an ember from his magnificence that once was, not even hot enough to burn anything around him.
His blood started pooling under him and he twitched, the only thing telling that he was alive. He could faintly hear the sounds of hurried footsteps, waking him from unconsciousness and he struggled to open on of his eyes.
Imagine his surprise to see a farm, and an old human couple in front of him.
On Danny's side of things, he fell into a giant pit of glowing green liquid. He woke up after he fell in, and at first he thought it was Ectoplasm, but it wasn't.
It was too filled with life, the pure opposite of the death energy he was intimately familiar with. He could feel it stitching up his wounds, he could feel it invading his body and being not at all friendly with the ectoplasm in his blood.
He managed to drag himself out of the pool, his body felt weak and feeble despite how physically it looked like it was in prime condition. He could feel himself condensing from his place on the floor, his body slowly becoming the form of a giant egg of glowing white and green with streaks of an icey blue within.
The last thing he heard was the hurried click clacks of heels nearing his location, before he blacked out, the only thing left was the edges of his consciousness.
On another note, the Kent family, even with their son being Superman. Did not expect a giant phoenix to be resting, no doubt slowly bleeding to death, outside of their house after they heard a crash.
Neither was one Barbara Kean expecting to see a dragon turn into a giant egg after dragging itself out of the Lazarus Pit.

Read this fanfic Bruce killed the joker and the entire batfam was dark it was godly and I want protective dad Bruce Wayne so bad a man who would do anything for his kids.
I want to see him burn Gotham to the ground for his children.
A parent should do whatever it takes for their child I want to see Bruce Wayne covered in an Arkham patients blood standing over a corpse with his child hiding in his cape is that too much to ask for.

Bruce is being waaay too judgy imho. The kind of dark humor Damian is using here is actually very common amongs first responders, ER workers and everyone who needs to deal with death on the daily. It's a distancing method used by those who care and Bruce not recognizing it is way more concerning.
