It is inherently fun and sexy to say statements that swap the traditional genders of pronouns and terms mid-statement, such as: "I'm going to make him my wife" "She's my boyfriend" "Who says a guy can't be a pretty princess?" "That girl's the coolest dude I've ever met" "She's a madman who has to be stopped" "It's not his fault he's a material girl" Gender is a set of watercolors and the prettiest shades come from mixing the paints together.

You can change your name, it doesn't matter how often you change it, it doesn't matter however many names you go by, if you want to, you can change it, you could change it every week, every month, every year, it doesn't matter, you can change your name, don't feel bad about it

This is probably a frequently asked question, but here we go! I’m a guy who wants to try dressing more androgynously (and who also probably isn’t gender cis lol), what’s your advice on breaking that gender barrier for the first time?
This is one of the best questions I have ever received!
I'm so passionate about this! There are so many different ways someone could experiment with AMAB gender for the first time.
Simple ways to "break the gender barrier" could be: - Asking a friend(s) to use a different name or pronouns - Growing your hair out or getting it styled more "femme" - Experimenting with make up > Most days I just clean shave and use concealer and powder to cover up any blemishes or facial hair darkness. I'm only recently learning more about makeup stuff myself, but it works! - Trying on more "feminine" clothes (e.g. bras, v-neck shirts, skirts) - Wearing shape wear (e.g. hip pads, breast forms) > I wear breast forms slotted into a regular bra most days. I can share what I use most of the time if anyone is interested. > Breast forms have the benefit of being removable and come in different sizes. > I've seen breast forms as cheap as $22, but the ones I like most are usually around $60-$70. > From an outside perspective, breast forms are almost always perceived as real in my experience > If you are wanting to try out breast forms, I would recommend starting relatively small (around A-C cup size) and then go bigger if you want. I have found it is much easier to style around having smaller breast forms, especially more casually. > Larger breast forms will need a more supportive bra, especially as they aren't glued to your chest (though those do exist) > When presenting Fem, I am generally wearing some hip and butt pads, these help balance out my silhouette with my breast forms to be more feminine overall. (Again, I can link if interested)
I hope this helps! Those are just some ideas and advice from someone who has been working a lot of this out themselves. I'm sure many people have had different experiences, but these are things that I know have worked for myself and friends. Please let me know if you guys can think of any more! Thank you!

You are allowed to be trans even if you're poor or live in a red state.
No one can stop you.
Yeah, there's twice/four times a year checkups but Estro and spiro are only like 30 bucks a month.
Yeah, sometimes I have to skip for a little while to wait for my next paycheck to afford it but here I am, openly trans and working at a sonic.
Yeah, sometimes I encounter a shitbag coworker, but I'm still here, they can't do shit about it.
Hell I live and work in mississippi and most my coworkers are aware I'm trans and still respect me regardless.
Yeah, I face discrimination, I've been fired at one place when they found out I was transitioning.
That doesn't stop me. I'm out, I go all around town in a jacket with pins that openly state that I am trans and when people express their disgust towards me I tell them that if they don't like seeing me they can either do something about me themselves or they can pluck their eyes out. I'M STILL HERE.
I'll keep being here, and I'll keep showing the closeted people it's okay to be who you are, and I won't stop doing it until someone does something about me themselves.
I refuse to hide just because I'm poor and you don't have to either.
You don't have to be as openly antagonistic towards bigots the way I am but you don't have to hide who you are just because you're poor. You deserve to live a life where you love who and what you are and to hell with anyone saying you're too young or too poor or too old or any of that ignorant shit.
Be you, burn the bigots, burn the rich, and love and help build up the community around you.

my boyfriend is not any flavour of queer. he says he "wishes he was" because queer people "just seem to understand the world so much" by which i assume he means we by default actually consider society wrt sex and gender, but he is unfortunately both cis and het. he's checked.
he carries around a copy of "the little book of lgbtq" in his backpack at all times in case he needs to look something up.
a good chunk of his youtube history is queer history / queer media / 'what it's like to be x' videos. he thinks all of you with the less famous identities (ie not the L G B or T) are very cool and funky and hopes you have a good day.
he knows he's straight because he has kissed men on several occasions and was not into it sexually. one of those times was a gay dude who promised to buy him drinks all night in exchange for a kiss and my boyfriend is nothing if not a wee whore. one of the others was kissing his gay friend who was depressed about not being able to hook up with anyone, because he is a very sweet wee whore.
he would do it again because he is very neutral on the kiss itself (not into it, but not grossed out by it. it's just a kiss, innit) and because he doesn't want people to be so lonely and sad that they cry in the smoking area of the club.

I just saw Nimona, and the fact that this movie isn’t talked about, was poorly advertised, and is completely overlooked is not surprising but is violently disappointing. This might’ve been the best movie I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely the best movie I’ve seen in the last DECADE. Nimona is such a beautiful, kindred soul. There are many things that differ between me and Nimona, I’m not gender-fluid, our personalities aren’t similar, I’m not as confident and I believe they’re BPD coded (which I do not have), but I am trans. I don’t want to have pieces of me be excluded. I want to fuck up the system. I love how she presents as a girl frequently and still says deadpan “I’m not a girl”. They love who they are unabashedly, (which I aspire to do) and are in such agonizing pain from being rejected and despised that it drives them to self destruction.
“The child that’s unloved by the village will burn it down to feel it’s warmth.” Is on of my favorite quotes and I feel like it encapsulates this character so well. This show handled so many heavy elements in such a perfect way in a shorter medium like a movie and it is so impressive.
I love this movie. I love Nimona.
