Something that admittedly frustrates me about the Cult of the Lamb fandom is the frequent portrayal of Heket by fan artists. She’s often shown in an angsty, feminine, soft manner, especially compared to her brothers and sibling.

Did we all forget that the Mystic Seller said that Heket was a “wicked beast” even compared to her siblings? Narinder said that his sister’s words were more “toxic than the mushrooms that grew in her domain”. She’s not making dolls with her crown or brooding about how heartless her siblings are.

I feel like it’s also not surprising that Heket is the most mischaracterized being the only female deity.

I was playing Cult of the Lamb at my moms house and was telling her how excited I was to marry the eldritch horror I was sworn to and my mom was like “aren’t you a lesbian?” And I was like, “the only proper way to be a cult leader is to be pan.” 🤣

I just love how consumed I’ve become for Cult of the Lamb. Like, as soon as I found out you could marry The One Who Waits I was like “hell yeah”. Now I spend my days talking about the game and saying things like “Narinder is just a girlfailure and I have taken an oath to always domesticate him and make him my malewife.” To accomplish this, I also make him wear the maid dress. Funny how becoming a cult leader will reveal such things about yourself.

Vox hates Angel because he’s mad that he isn’t the only twink in Val’s life.

I just saw Nimona, and the fact that this movie isn’t talked about, was poorly advertised, and is completely overlooked is not surprising but is violently disappointing. This might’ve been the best movie I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely the best movie I’ve seen in the last DECADE. Nimona is such a beautiful, kindred soul. There are many things that differ between me and Nimona, I’m not gender-fluid, our personalities aren’t similar, I’m not as confident and I believe they’re BPD coded (which I do not have), but I am trans. I don’t want to have pieces of me be excluded. I want to fuck up the system. I love how she presents as a girl frequently and still says deadpan “I’m not a girl”. They love who they are unabashedly, (which I aspire to do) and are in such agonizing pain from being rejected and despised that it drives them to self destruction.

“The child that’s unloved by the village will burn it down to feel it’s warmth.” Is on of my favorite quotes and I feel like it encapsulates this character so well. This show handled so many heavy elements in such a perfect way in a shorter medium like a movie and it is so impressive.

I love this movie. I love Nimona.

I’ve put my 2 cents in for the whole Alastor shipping thing and I’m going to put 2 more in.

I am asexual and aromantic. I also like to dress modestly because I feel the need and desire to protect my bodily autonomy. If I suddenly find out that someone is writing and drawing nsfw and smut fics about me, I would be LIVID. I would demand you take that shit down or else I’m suing. Because to me, you completely disrespected my boundaries and sexualized and objectified me when I am EXPLICITLY against that.

“BuT aLAStoR iSnT rEAL heS juST a ChARacTeR-“ yes. Exactly. The way you treat Alastor when it’s pretty explicit how he feels about all that, tells me that you don’t respect him, his identity, his bodily autonomy, and his boundaries.

If you can’t do that for a fictional character, I 100% don’t believe you would respect real people. THATS my biggest issue.

Also, the tweet that Viv posted about “doing whatever” was posted 5 YEARS AGO. She has gone on to recant that statement. And frankly I’m glad, because this is absolutely hurting a very real community of people.
