Rise!Raph Dermatillomania Headcanon
It started when some of his scales started to develop into spikes. He was self-conscious of the small protrusions on his skin and disliked it's uneven texture, so he'd try to scrape them off to recover it's smoother surface. It didn't work out in his favor and eventually, his spikes became too abundant to be able to scratch away. Picking became fruitless. Even so, he continued, because the act of pulling away pieces of skin was soothing.
He wears lots bandages to shield his skin from his nails. They also help any cuts or scrapes he aqquires to heal without him picking at them. He got himself a rubik's cube to keep his hands busy. The puzzle solving element calms him down.

I was also just wondering if you had a comprehensive list of all the scars the 2012 boys have in the tattered remains/frayed universe? I've been potentially drawing fanart of some of the scenes once I get my drawing tablet!

BUTTT since you asked, I probably should list all the scars because. There are a lot. I always wished they had more visible aftermaths for injuries, esp Leo, but since this is my fic - I can do what it want (within reason lol)
Spoilers below for the fic and canon series and trigger warning for injuries/scars.
2012
Leo has the most noticable scaring out of all his brothers! There is deep gouge marks on his right knee, sort of all over the place and just messy in general and the knee is slightly misshapened (due to it being crushed and then stabbed multiple times). His plastron also has three gouge marks across it from Shredder's gauntlets and there is a tiny scar on his throat from his throat being crushed/cut. Not noticeable unless he lifts his head up to show it. He also has scarring on his right shoulder that looks like shark teeth from being bit there.
Raph's left eye is a few shades lighter than his right because he's blind there! He also has a small spiral scar on the right side of his temple just under his mask from the brain worm cutting into his skin. Another brain worm scar is on his wrists and ankles! He rubbed off a lot of skin while struggling in the restraints and it left a mark. He also has a lot of scars on his knuckles from busting them open during fights and when I imagine him/write him, where that chip in his shell is there is also a wide scar across his shoulder that attaches it to the chip in his carapace, like a follow through. As for post his attack from Shredder, part of his carapace and plastron are missing and the chips also spread out like cracks. There's two holes in total!
Donnie had more so burns than lashes! His hands and forearms are pretty discoloured from chemical and heat burns. Also electrical burns on his head from the fourfold trap episode! But his mask largely covers that. This is only noticeable if you stand close to him so doubtful it would be seen in any art, but he has thin scarring all across his body from April ripping him apart! Sort of spiderwebs around him. It will come up at some point, but right now it just isn't notable in the fic. And then he recently cut his thigh open on the glass at the end of frayed so he would still have stitches from that.
Mikey, before the events of the book, has a spiderweb crack on the back of his shell from the letter falling on him from season one. And then he has a canine bite on his left arm from Rahzar. I just assumed his brothers were so focused on protecting him that he rarely got scarred since in my watch throughs, he got majorly hurt the least? Less visible scarring from shackles compared to Raph, but he still has some too. After... that chapter though??? Oh boy. With the bandages off, Mikey is now missing his right eye completely and the wound is scarred over. His shell is slightly cracked and the back of his thighs have minor scars as well. Bruising all over. Not having a good time rn.
Rise
Just because I'm already doing 2012, here are Rise as well! They have less scars to show they have had less battles and because like 2012 Donnie pointed out - they heal a lot faster so most of the listed marks are quite faint unless they are major/recurrent or you are really looking closely
Leo has small knicks on his shoulders from his odaci and katannas! He was clumsy with pulling them out and they left marks until he got more skilled. He also has scarring on his right wrist from the cuffs in season two. He was pulling and yanking on that thing like crazy. Scarring on his right knee now from Shredder slamming his gauntlet into his knee at the end of frayed and minor slashes from breaking through that window and cutting up his skin.
Raph has three slash marks at the top of his shell from defending Donnie from Shredder and it's slightly indented by Shredder stepping on it. His fists are also heavily scarred and his knuckles are constantly swollen and misshapened.
Donnie has slash marks on his soft shell from Shredder ripping into his battle shell and reaching his soft shell. He also has some burn and chemical scars from his lab and down the center of his plastron is a thin line from when SHELLDON tried to kill him and minor shackle marks on his wrists and ankles.
Mikey has a ton of tiny scars, mainly from skidding across the ground and cutting himself on glass/sharpnel. His shell is significantly scratched up from sliding against the ground as well/being thrown around.

Hi I want to ask I created my own tmnt au But I am   struggling to draw 2012 Raph and  Donnie do you have any advice on how to draw them 
A lot of it depends on the style you're going for, but for me, it's all about shapes
Raph is more pentagon-ish where Donnie is more of a vertical oval
Raph is very angular and pointy. He looks a bit ragged and disgruntled, even when he's happy.
Donnie, on the other hand, is very round. He looks between wonder and concern at most times; always watching and trying to figure out the world around him.
When I started my comic, I'd only ever drawn the Leos, so I had to focus on what made the others themselves.
Some details I tries to keep on Raph: Cracked Plastron, frayed/ripped up bandana, and sharp eyes
Donnie: Bigger eyes and tooth gap

okay so I dont have much actual art of them bc I have had no time to draw lately, but ill try to like summarize their vibes or give doodles at least
Donnie- hes a very anxious angsty guy, is in his lab almost all of the time, always seems to look a bit sad or tired, doesnt really like other people, kind of has similar vibes and shape language to tm(n)t donnie if that helps at all, hes a hybrid spiny soft-shell turtle and spotted turtle, hes got spots on the back part of his shell like this:
and spiky bits at the bottom edges of his shell like this:
so I imagine hes like a dark green kinda grey color mostly besides the yellow spots on his shell, his hands and forearms and legs are always bandaged up and if theyre not covered he has a lot of scars from assorted causes, he usually wears either like black shorts or baggy sweatpants, sweatpants more often, on occasion a hoodie and that becomes much more frequent after the events of the shredder apprentice arc, I forgot to put them in the doodle but he has stretch marks on his thighs and upper arms and is the tallest of the guys but hunches over so much that you wouldnt know, he has scoliosis but not very severely, you can just barely tell if you look at his shell from behind that its a bit misshapen
Raph- Raph is a bog turtle, so is Mikey, this is an older drawing and isnt the most accurate but its like the only good drawing I have of him, usually he does not look anywhere near this happy, the markings around the back of his neck and on the shell are still accurate but otherwise its kinda up to interpretation so do what you will, he also wears hoodies and pants sometimes but not always, his mask tails vary in length bc he chews on them so sometimes theyre short when he doesnt want to or longer when he does want to
Mikey- Mikey is also a bog turtle, raphs markings are a bit more red and his are a bit more yellow/orange, my Mikey wears a more yellow mask than bright orange, its kinda that yellow-orange shade, I think he has freckles but theyre more like small scale patches that are darker green than real freckles, has the same neck markings and similar shell markings to raph, has either one dot above his right eye that looks like a circular eyebrow or has it on both eyes, for now I'll say just the one though, his mask tails arent as long as Leo but go to about mid-back and the ends are frayed
Leo- Leo is based a lot on 2012, all of my turtles are more based on 2012 than any other iteration, his mask tails are very long like all the way down to his waist, theyre cut at diagonals like at an angle at the end and are not frayed, he has more yellow colored stripes that go over his eyes (like rise Leo a bit) but then they run down to his shoulders and down his arms, sides, and legs, and theres also shorter segments on his shoulders that are pretty much just yellow patches. He's a black knobbed map turtle, so just imagine kinda realistic stripes like theirs but stylized. When he uses his powers they glow a really intense blue color and it looks really cool. After the events of the shredder apprentice arc he has a big X scar across the back of his shell

Kinda wish James Gunn’s DCU had room for Terry but I’m fully expecting that not to be the case. I mean Gunn clearly cares about the batfam but there’s a reason attempts to integrate Terry into the mainline DC continuity batfam tend to be a little sloppy.
They could always do the “it’s just a possible future” thing where they don’t actually have to commit to it in the long-term and just have time travel shenanigans bring Terry into the modern-day fray? Idk
I mean it’s probably for the best anyway since I think Batman Beyond works best in animation, even better than he does comics. Give me a slick and stylish animated Batman Beyond movie like the Spider-Verse movies or the new TMNT except cyberpunk before you give me a live action version any day.

Kate Bishop x Reader
Fighting the Tracksuit Mafia is not the way you wanted to be spending Christmas. Dressed in your ninja attire, you worked hard to assist your girlfriend Kate Bishop with her mission. You blocked incoming attacks with your tonfas.
"Well is it too early to wish you a Merry Christmas baby?" you say as you thwack one mafia guy to the side.
"I was hoping for more kissing than kicking" she responds with a shrug.
"If you think this is bad, you should see my-" you try to say.
THWACK! One of the mafia members gets smacked in the face with a manhole cover. Oh no, was all you could think.
Then came the familiar sound of a van's horn.
"Oh no. no! No!!!" you shout as you grab Katie and jump to the side. Instantly a yellow van crashes over the edge of the rink and right into several members of the tracksuit mafia.
"I told you guys to stay out of this!!!" You try to shout as the van doors throw themselves open and out jump your annoying brothers.
"Cowabunga!!!" The four ninja turtles shout as they dive into the fray.
Clint can only look on in pure shock. Ninja turtles?
"Little bro needs our hellacious help" Mikey shouts as he thwacks a guy with his nunchucks.
"I'm calculating a 100% chance of butt whooping" Donny says as he takes out two guys with his bo staff.
"And a zero percent chance of Y/N getting laid tonight" Raph laughs.
"I told you to stay out of it!!!" you shout at the four
"We're brothers till the end Y/N" Leo smiles as he kicks down several other mafia members. "We'll never leave you."
"Your brothers are NINJA...TURTLES?!?" Kate looks at you in shock.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Mikey smiles, "Hey! I'm Mikey."
"She's out of your league, Mikey" Raph smacks his brother upside the head, "and out of Y/N's too"
"Raph, play nice!" Leo counters.
"So you're a ninja human, with ninja turtle brothers?" Kate asks you, her mind completely off the battle.
"And a giant talking rat for a dad. It's a long story." You say as you punch out another tracksuit guy.
"You gotta spend Christmas with us!" Mikey shouts, "please!! April doesn't come by anymore since she started dating Casey!!"
Family. You don't choose them. But you are glad that you have your brothers, even if they can be super annoying.

April sometimes wishes her brothers were a little more subtle about forcing her to relax.
She'd manage. She always did.
Peeling her face and arms off the table, she stretched her back and yawned. Her table was littered with open notebooks and study materials; she nearly pushed them off as she stretched. It wasn't that bad though. She wasn't sick, so she'd be all set to head out. It wasn't like she had that many classes anyway; just the one boring seminar with a lecture hall packed with passionless students and a guest speaker who knew little to nothing about the topic and just wanted the pay.
Not like she could complain. She was also the type to trudge from job to job in some vain attempt to secure one. Being a weirdo magnet did come with its pitfalls, even if she didn't want to admit it.
Before she could get ready for the class and the rest of her afternoon getting ruined, her phone buzzed. She reached for it, opening a message from Leo. One word: Help.
She didn't need to be told twice.
Freshened up by the threat of her brothers being in danger, April rushed out of her apartment complex and to the lair. She took the garage entrance this time; it was quicker, if not a little more precarious to enter through (blame the many traps and alarms Donnie set up there). As she ran into the main body of the lair, she called out.
"Guys! What's the emergency..." The words died on her mouth. The message was sent a cool twenty minutes ago, so she expected to see debris or fire or some other form of destruction. The room was cleaner (somehow). Leo stood next to a large beanbag (where did that come from?), holding a pair of controllers hooked up to a console a little farther away.
"The emergency is how little time we spend together."
She wanted to be mad, but she was more relieved and a little surprised than anything else, "Leo! I can't be here for games! I have class in an hour!"
"As far as your attendance record shows, you are in class." Donnie popped in from behind, walking from the kitchen and through the lair to get back to his lab.
"You're planning to gaslight the system into thinking I was there?" Wouldn't be the first time they did this, but it was still fun to ask.
"Worked for Othello Von Ryan and the use of discreetly-placed-and-ethically-questionable surveillance cameras. I'll text you the summary of the class when it finishes."
He didn't even need a moment to gauge April's semi-surprised reaction before disappearing into the lab.
"Is he... working on something?"
"Has been for weeks... Everyone's too scared to ask what he's working on," Leo sighed in faux attention, wrapping his arm around April's shoulders and pulling her over to the beanbag. Sat down on it, Leo joined her on the pillowing and handed her the controller.
"So is this just you missing me or an invitation to getting your butt kicked in a video game?"
"Don't be so sure you'd win against me just yet!" Leo spoke, voice vehement as ever, "Dee's added some upgrades to my arm that'll propel me to victory~"
"He added cheat codes, did he?"
"Whu-ha-hat? No! Why would he?"
April scoffed, arms crossed as she held the controller. "Hmph, cheat codes or not, I'll still beat you."
The overconfidence set in, and April could already feel her victory coming. "Oh-hoh-hokay! Bring it on!"
The rest of the hours bled into minutes, but they were hours she cherished. Mikey and Raph joined in the fray when they returned from a hangout with the Caseys.
Surrounded with family and a very close match with her brothers, she had to remember that there were more benefits to being a weirdo magnet after all.

Be honest which do you like more? Tmnt 2012 or Rottmnt?
Tmnt 2012 no doubt
Listen, I grew up with this show. I watched every single episode when it was airing (with the exceptions of Raphael Mutant Apocalypse and Wanted Bebop Rocksteady) I distinctly remember recording all the season 1 episodes on the TV so I could watch them over and over.
I am not kidding when I say that tmnt 2012 was the FIRST story driven TV I got into. All the other shows I was watching were episodic.
That show carried me from 3rd grade to fucking 8th grade.
And to this day it is still one of my favorite shows EVER.
Then rottmnt came along not even a YEAR after the 2012 "finale" (that was not a proper finale for the show. And yes I know technically Owari was the story's conclusion but come on.) And it was so different.
So unbelievably different from tmnt 2012. (Also kid me was dumb and thought Baron Draxum was supposed to be the Shredder)
I remember watching a little bit of the episode Down With The Sickness. (Starting with the part where Splinter is feral and chasing then around.) And I distinctly remember thinking "This is stupid, they got rid of tmnt 2012 for this?" And changed the channel and avoided rottmnt until 2022.
2022.
When the Rise Movie came out and tumblr would not shut up about it. (lets be real I spoiled most of the movie for myself by scrolling through tumblr.)
Thats when the tmnt 2012 hyperfixation was returning and was trying to look for fanfics on ao3
A shit ton of them were crossovers with rottmnt.
And I figured that since I wasnt finding any fics without rise, why not?
I think the first crossover fics I read were Shredder's Vendetta (very good fic btw go check it out) and Frayed Knots (which spoiled some of rise for me but Idc because I mostly forgot about the spoilers when I started watching rise.)
And because I didnt find the exact fics I wanted to read I started planning one of my own. A crossover between tmnt 2012 and rottmnt.
But I quickly ran into a problem. I couldn't write a fic based on my very limited knowledge of rottmnt.
So I binge watched it.
And it was better than I expected.
Now I really like the show
But tmnt 2012 will always take the top spot.
(Maybe its because I like darker more serious shows over more silly and goofy shows. Idk)

I don't think. I've ever been so emotional reading an Fic. I think I've lost count of how many times I've been brought to tears reading these, which is a good thing!! I just joined the TMNT fandom after watching the 2012 show. I just happened to come across Tattered Remains and Frayed and I don't think I can express how absolutely amazing it is. The Storytelling. The raw emotions. Everything is just so AMAZING!!! I'm in absolute love with it and I'm obsessed with these fics. Just the characterization of the 2012 turtles oh man, having them darker than their actual show counterparts is amazing! I can't wait for future chapters and to read more. I love these boys so much and I can only hope things turn out well for them.

Making the 2012 boys slightly... darker?? Was a risk I wanted to take while being in college and learning about trauma. They've never had a real break to work through those issues or heal and a lot of times when people are just constantly running, they don't see how tired they are until they stop. And yes, despite everything they are going through, they will have a happy ending ‼️ I am huge for hurt/comfort tropes, no pain, no gain. Thank you so much for supporting the story and liking it as much as I have liked writing it!

As I tumble back down into the TMNT rabbit hole, I find out that Fast Forward has a second unproduced season that’s known as Season X.
Season X would have given us:
A martial arts master that comes out of one of the turtles’ favorite hi-chop-socky martial arts films and wrecks havoc till Splinter kicks his ass.
The alien Shredder, Ch’rell, coming back with a new Triceraton based body and thus becoming TriShreddaton.
The turtles finding out that Leatherhead is still alive and kicking a 100 years later.
Boss Zukko and Torbin Zixx scamming different crime syndicates by Zukko pretending to turn Zixx in and collecting the bounty money on Zixx’s head.
Tech Turtles, evil robot versions of the turtles.
The Dark Turtles doing a heel-faced turn and getting a redemption. (I will forever be salty that this never happened.)
Jammerhead hacking Constable Biggles and turning him into a corrupt cop.
Serling getting shrunken down to the size of of an action figure and sent back to the past to interact with the turtle tots thanks to a Time Window experiment gone wrong.
The turtles meeting Usagi again, in space.
Triple Threat taking over a prison ship and then he and the other criminals ransack NYC.
Turtle Titan II making a second appearance.
Cody fluxing in and out of existence from the turtles being in the future for too long.
The turtles and their allies have a giant face off between TriShreddaton, the Tech Turtles and Darius Dunn. The Dark Turtles even join the fray as reinforcements for the turtles.

More about the au: This little au is going to be based on the 2012 tmnt and takes place when the turtles are 10 years old. The story will start when the turtles decide to sneak out of their home at night to a lake they like to visit. However they find some odd creature there who is on the run from a mysterious alien organization. After getting caught up in the fray the four brothers are taken to a strange place with probes and surgical machinery. "Something tells me we're not guests here."

Based on this.
Trollhunters but Jim and Barbara are friends with the 2003 turtles.
Here's how I think it would happen. James takes Barbara and a 4 year old Jim for 3 month stay in New York. On the second day, a break in at a mall by the Purple Dragons leads to the toddler getting separated from his family amongst the panic. Jim passes out by a sewer drain and Splinter finds him. (Turtles are 6 years old at the time.)
He ends up staying with them as he can't remember where his family was staying in. It's not until a month later does Jim reunite with Barbara. They were visiting the local homeless for supplies when Mikey spots her. Barbara had been looking continuously ever since his disappearance. Her latest lead results in this heartwarming success.
The two families (James excluded as Jim's disappearance led a strain in the relationship) become friends and kept in touch since then. Once the young boy got himself a laptop, private video calls with the turtles became quite common. Jim had taken some lessons from Splinter during his temporary stay and continues them mostly through recordings.
Toby was let in on the secret alongside his Nana. Both friends often do training sessions together afterwards. Everything between all three families went smoothly as the years passed. Sometimes Jim and Barbara get a chance to visit their New York friends with the Domalskis in tow.
Then comes that faithful day where Jim becomes the Trollhunter. Following Splinter's advice, he tells everyone. The TMNT crew join the fray especially as things begin to ramp up in Arcadia. The guys already met aliens, fellow mutants and even mystic ninjas. Meeting actual trolls wouldn't be so different.
These new factors will change how certain events will go. Jim and Toby have some actual training so they decently know how to fight. Both families are aware of the danger so certain consequences are voided. Finally Team Trollhunters is much larger as our heroes from New York has joined the fray.
Will things get better, worse or take a turn towards pure chaos? It's up to you.
