What do you mean there was only 3 musketeers??? Obviously there was a 4th?? Right guys? [I’m sticking to this delusion no one can stop me]
So heres my take on Oswald if he had stayed in Disney’s possession and was updated like the rest of the cast. I used marker and color pencil for the one drawing of him. I also head cannon that he’s mute and uses exaggerated expressions/gestures and sign language to get his point across.
Also Ortensia would play as Minnie’s royal cousin from another kingdom who often visits to hang out with Minnie and Daisy but also too escape the pressure of marriage at home and constantly being bombarded with suitors from different kingdoms.
I mean in the end we all know who she’d end up with but come on let’s spice it up a little lol
Working through my depression with a piece of art where Oswald the Lucky Rabbit becomes the Spinel towards Mickey Mouse's Steven Universe. It's a part of this AU I've been thinking about where Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny and Kermit the Frog all hang out together to escape the stress of being the figureheads of world famous studios.
So... Yeah, the Steamboat Willie ver. of Mickey and Minnie are now in the pubblic domain, so i tried to make my own version of them + Oswald cuz why the hell not, i like him.
Mickey and Oswald's outfits are inspired by what real sailors in the 30s used to wear, and they're shipmates. Mickey smokes cuz, like, come on, he's a sailor, he might be friendly, nice and all that stuff, but he's still a sailor, not the most well known example of a sophisticated man, don't you think? Oswald instead likes to play instruments and sing, you gotta love a music guy in you crew, am i right?
Minnie is instead the perfect example of a fashionable and well mannered young woman, with a desire for adventure and a great fascination for sailors like our Mickey here.
Despite Mickey being mostly depicted as a character who always knows what to do in the best way possible, i like the idea of him acting all shy and clumbsy when Minnie is around him.
